Modern AU Clegan established relationship headcanons:

John talks about Gale to all his colleagues, Gale doesn’t talk about his private life at all. Everyone is shocked when he brings John to one of the company events. That’s not the kind of person they imagined as Gale’s partner...

Their PDA is very sweet and casual (handholding, hugs from behind etc.) because Gale doesn’t like being sexual in front of others. When they started dating, he had to push John's hands away from his ass several times before John caught on.

John has a slightly higher sex drive than Gale in general, but there was a period after they first said 'I love you' when Gale's was even higher than his. Normally, they have sex about three times a week.

John is the one who makes their place a home. With his clutter and trinkets and the gifts he brings Gale like a magpie. He connects to objects emotionally so it's more important to him to make his surroundings his own. Gale isn’t used to stability at home, so he doesn’t get into this that easily, but eventually, he’ll add his own touch to the decor too.

They always spend Christmas Eve just the two of them, listening to Christmas music and watching a comfort movie. Christmas Day is with John's family. Gale's birthday is with Gale’s family, but it always sucks for one reason or another, so after a while, John plans them little getaway trips that coincidentally fall on that day.

I finally found some time to answer your ask, sorry for leaving you waiting so long. Work is sucking all my time away lately and I cannot enjoy my hobbies like I used to do ç_ç

So, the ask, yes... As you certainly remember, in my Modern AU headcanon of Connary Ziio is alive and is a meditation/pilates/self-defence techniques teacher (yes, she's still kicking asses!!). Mary signed up to one of her classes to learn more about relaxation, breathing techniques and master her anxiety in general. It was a moment in her life where she had to find herself, gain some self-esteem, finding her path in life, you know. Only... at the end of every class, there was this handsome young man helping his mother clean the gym room and putting the equipment away who, of course, bewitched her attention. ♥‿♥

After more lessons, when pupils need to open up about their fears and learn how to overcome what frightens them as a necessary step to develope inner peace and built self-esteem, Ziio realises Mary's going through a hard time, so in many occasions asks her to stay a while after the class, to ask her how is everything going and if the class is helping her a bit. Mary feels she can definitely trust her and opens her heart to Ziio, so they chat for a while every time. The woman often mentions her son. "Her son? Oh, that guy I see at the end of every class... He really looks like her, indeed. And he... He's got the most enchanting autumn eyes I've ever seen in this life..." Mary thinks to herself ٩◔‿◔۶ It goes on and on, every week; "Oh, really? My son too!" - "Yeah, my son watches that!" - "My son likes that too!" Until one day Ziio suggests they should exchange their e-mail addresses and talk themself about all they have in common, such as anime, music tastes, series, movies and so on.

Then comes a day... when Mary's heart beats so furiosuly that she is forced to do more than just look at him with a shy smile and ask how he is. So, via e-mail, she asks him if he would like to meet her out of the gym... maybe for a lunch together?

He says Yes. And Mary would jump and reach the second star to the right with just one flight as her heart turned to a space rocket!!! The lunch is at her favourite traditional Japanese restaurant; she talked to Mayumi, the cook, who knows her client well by now, everything must be perfect. Mayumi promised her the best Katsu Curry and Sake Rice she and her companion will ever taste! And so it was! As Mary was sure, Mayumi never fails! Connor (that is the western name chosen for the young man) enjoyed the meal so much! Then they went out for a walk and Mary asked about his true name and he helped her pronuonce it. She is so curious and asks about his name meaning, his language, his culture, she wants to know everything!! And since confusion and surprise are depicted on the young man's face... She just can't help but trying to confess she has feelings for him. Well, very clumsily, but she tries... as her face turns to a red tomato xD. Yet Connor can always ease things off and simply says he felt the same since he met her. "I must be dreaming..." is all Mary can guess as a million butterflies dance inside her soul. But the dream ends when they hold each other's hand and here comes reality as Mary's smile explodes like a supernova!

I know mermay is way over and you probably moved on from this, but @all-purpose-dish-soap I drew some fanart of König as an orca mer.

I figured he is probably a bit of an outcast from his pod, and not even bachelor pods deal with him. He's a bit desperate for company, seeing as he's an extremely social animal, so to try and make others more at ease he wears a seaweed hood (also uses the hood to hide from other orca bullies).

I think the way to nerf orca!König is to give him crippling social anxiety and make him surprisingly gentle with reader (when reader proves they're too feisty to eat). He might see the 141 as easy snacks, but doesn't eat them because reader would hate him, and he doesn't want his only friend to turn on him.

Btw think about how massive he is compared to reader? Good lord. He'd split them in two if he wasn't careful. I can imagine he would be especially gentle with reader and get pissed about how big he is, but reader is just fawning over him.

you sigh as the mugs sit across the kitchen counter, shes on one side staring at them while youre on the other side staring at her.

she doesn't. she drinks out of one and she only ever drinks water from it. you go back and forth for merely minutes before you throw in the towel and just let her do her thing, if shes happy you dgaf about the normal water glasses.

★ she has one belt and its one wrong move from completing snapping in two pieces, there is a literal half inch of material holding it together

★ needs to pet street cats every time she sees them, whenever you point out that they're probably diseased she scoffs

★ tries to pretend shes good at fixing things but has no clue what shes doing—the toilet isnt flushing properly and so she stands about 3 feet from it and stares at it with her weight shifted to one side. she'll have on a tank top on and slacked down carhartt pants engulfing her legs as she nods. she really likes to take care of you so she'll refuse to admit she has no idea what shes doing and when you walk away she looks up "toilet not flushing reddit"

★ she fucks with the twilight franchise but pretends to hate it because it doesn't "look cool"

★ she cant drive, she failed her permit test 3 times and pretends like every other driver on the road is the problem (shes the issue every time)

★ she drives a beat up car or truck, it smells a little funny and the radio gets three stations so you have to rummage through her mass cd collection to find something to listen to. half the cds wont even be in their case but instead haphazardly chucked around her car in random spots. the only ones she keeps in order are your cds, which have a specific bag so you don't have to scurry about in her car to find them.

★ 3 pairs of socks and they all have holes in them, she'll complain that the floor is cold all the time

"god the floor is so cold in here"

"can you just put some socks on?"

"i'm wearing socks right now"

"oh really?"

and she'll point as her feet, half her toes are out and her heel is fully exposed. its about the same as just wearing no socks at some point. you'll just stare in disbelief for a moment before scoffing.

"what'd you do that for?"

that small crease between her brows finding its way to her face as it always does.

"you're barely wearing socks"

★ has to physically restrain herself from telling you the gift she bought you for any holiday or event, shes tweaking out and cant function until she gives it to you

What Yandere I think Ancient Greek mythology boys would be.

TW⚠️ General Yandere behaviour, biting, manipulative behaviour, clingy behaviour…mentions of self harm (not reader). Read at your own risk⚠️

Achilles:

🏺- I feel like if Achilles was a yandere he’d be more akin to the typical yandere. Jealous, possessive…almost like a land mine

🏺- He’s protective of you and wants your attention…only your attention. I think that speaks for itself about how this relationship would go.

🏺- He’s not overly touchy, but in public.,he has this weird thing about ‘laying claim’ to what’s his and making everyone know it..even if it embarrasses you…he’ll caress you thigh openly in public among other…things… he also tends to squeeze you into his chest and he has a thing for biting- and boy does it hurt..if you don’t stop him at times..you’ll be bleeding by the end of it

🏺- If you’re at home- he wants you in his arms. You’re sitting on the sofa? He’ll put you in his lap. You’re lying in bed? He’ll jump on top of you. And he’s heavy- so good luck getting him off of you.

🏺- despite his concerning behaviour..he truly does care about you..in his mind..you’re the only one that matters. He wants you to be with him for as long as possible..and don’t even think about trying to break up with him..he’ll find you.

Patroclus:

🌿- Patroclus would be one of those yanderes that aren’t openly a yandere..he’s more docile and less explosive. Though- he still has those red flags.

🌿- He’s a manipulator. Especially if you’re a sensitive and emotional individual- he’ll exploit that. Gaslighting you at times and telling you “I know what’s best for you, darling”. Yeah..not really the best part of this relationship.

🌿- He’s more touchy than Achilles. He loves to have his face nuzzled into your neck whenever he can..breathing in your scent as he holds you in his arms. Letting out a content sigh as he kisses your lips tenderly..but don’t let that tenderness fool you..he’s still got a few screws loose.

🌿- He’s the type of yandere to act calm whenever someone is trying to hit on you in public..usually it’s when you’re not around is when he finds that person and either beats them half to death or worse..he use to be a medic and warrior..he knows more than one way to put people through pain. Though It’d have to be very bad for him to immediately clock to that mode.

🌿- He knows you’ll never leave him..how pathetic of you to try.,you keep running back to his arms anyway even if you do. He’ll break you as many times as he needs to have you in his arms..he’s patient.. and once you do come back..either in tears for just looking like a sad puppy..he’ll pamper you and stroke your hair as he kisses you lips and whispers how much he loves you.

Perseus:

🛡️- This is a bit tricky..He’s like…an enthusiastic yandere..that’s how I describe it. He has limits on how far he’ll go..but that doesn’t mean he won’t do certain things.

🛡️- He’s not explosive like Achilles and he’s not a big manipulator like Patroclus. He’s a bit chill. He’s the one that is similar to being docile but at the same time his yandere tendencies will seep out.

🛡️- He actually warns you what will happen if you do A, B, and C. Because he doesn’t want to hurt you in any way..he just wants to have a loving relationship with you without any casualties. Occasionally he’ll get mad..but he’ll never take it out on you..never. Though..a few chains here and there can’t hurt..right?

🛡️- He loves to be with you..he’ll check on you at work.. on the street at home..any time really. He’s just trying to look out for you and makes his hit list anyway

🛡️- So far you’ve never had a problem with him..he’s not very overbearing..he’s smart in how he does things..you’ll never know what he does when you’re asleep..you’ve never considered leaving him..and he’d like to keep it that way..he wants to shower you with words of praise and devotion,

Orpheus:

🎼- Orpheus is what I’d call a clingy yandere. When he first met you..it took him awhile to fall for you but when he did and you both got together it was a done deal for him.

🎼- He’s so clingy..he doesn’t like to be anywhere without some physical touch involved. After losing his first love- he won’t lose you. He’ll never lose you..he’ll make sure of it.

🎼- He peppers your face with kisses in public that it makes even married couples jealous..dear lord. His words are sweet and filled with honey.

🎼- Sometimes he wishes he had the power to hypnotise you with his voice..so he could make sure that you’d stay with him forever..but I guess locking you inside will have to do..trapping you under his body as he cuddles you will have to be enough.. chaining you to the bed as you both sleep together is what he has to settle for…such effort.

🎼- Once when you tried to leave him, he literally got down on his knees and begged you to the point of tears to not leave him..he said how he couldn’t live without out you and how he’ll harm himself if you do leave him…you fell for his trap and stayed with him..having pity on this poor man. Perfect..he likes it when you break and ignore your better judgement for him.
