The invitation was made with only good intentions. Reigen’s apartment flooded after a pipe burst and he needed somewhere to stay. Serizawa offered, but your place was closer to the Spirits and Such Agency, and living alongside his own employee seemed inappropriate, temporary or otherwise.
The choice was easy. It was for the sake of convenience. And yet, you’re not sure exactly how it had come to this.
“You good?”
Reigen had sunken back into your couch cushions with an unnatural effort. You’d never seen someone try so hard to look relaxed. The corner of his eye twitches at random intervals, fingers wrung tightly into the fabric of your shorts.
At what point had the accumulated longing — built steadily over years of bizarre friendship — crested?
“Not sure what you mean. I’m fantastic,” he quips, flashing you a strained smile and giving a flippant wave of his hand. In the dark of your living room, illuminated only by the cool toned glow of your TV screen, he appears a little withered. Nervous. “Totally fine! Are you?”
Your legs are folded beneath your body, settled either side of his hips. The plot of the movie has been long forgotten. You take the opportunity to watch him squirm under your avid gaze. Reigen looks softer out of his typical work suit. Dirty blonde hair stuck in all directions and mussed. He’s wearing his muted purple pyjama set: a bear printed on the chest, crew neck loose around his collar but tight around the wrists. The bottoms are cuffed just above his ankles because his legs are a little too long. You laughed gleefully when you first saw them.
There was underlying meaning. He was comfortable. Maybe not in himself, but with you— in a way that makes you want to touch him. To keep him. You walk two fingers along his collar and feel each step echo through his body. Pelvis twitching helplessly under your weight, the stiff outline of his cock presses up against your ass.
“We can stop,” you intone gently. As exhilarating as it was to have him so reactive and malleable you knew he had a habit of overestimating himself; pushing his own boundaries for the sake of proving validity or worth. “I wouldn’t be upset. This is all moving pretty fast”.
Reigen worries his lip between his teeth. There is already a sore indentation left from earlier in the evening, after dealing with a particularly grueling call from his insurance company. Your knuckles brush across the new, uneven stubble on his jaw and he takes a sharp breath, grasping tight at your thighs.
In lieu of a response, he tentatively encourages you to grind into his lap again. You follow his lead and murmur leisurely at the whine that falls from his open mouth, arms snaking around his neck. Elbows rested against the back of the sofa, your fingers thread through his hair, playing with the fine strands at his nape.
Your name is whispered between heaving breaths, not quite knowing what he wants to ask for. Hands twitch at your hips with bruising pressure, undecided as to whether he wanted you to stop, slumping down into the cushions as sense gradually leaves him.
You hum appreciatively as his eyelids flutter, “Didn’t know you were this sensitive. Got me all wet and I’ve barely touched you”.
Reigen shudders and bites down a whine, head tipping back to bare his throat, breathing sharply out of his nose. Struggling to speak, his assertion falls flat, “I’m not—ah. Not usually”.
A sweet blush spreads warm across his cheeks and kisses the tips of his ears, dark in the dim lighting. You undulate your hips, chasing your own pleasure as well as his. “Don’t stop,” he pleads with a strangled noise, pawing at your waist and guiding you over his cock in dissonant rhythm. Pure desperation. “Please don’t”.
“Yeah?”
“Yeaaa—!” the vowels drag on his tongue, drawn out into a long moan when you push deliberately into the cradle of his pelvis, pleasure prickling under your skin. His arousal saturates the and eases the motions. Slack jawed, the bridge of his nose scrunches up as he clings to you. “Fuck. Wanted you like this for so long. Wanted… I wanted to do it the right…”
His interminable rambling comes to an abrupt halt. He realises his admission— you watch the panic trickle into his otherwise pink expression, his thighs quivering in the effort not to buck up again. To save face. Hot, blood rises to the surface and emanates against your palms. Slowing the rhythm to a stop, you gently take his face into your hands. “Arataka?”
“Sorry,” he blurts. Reigen pats awkwardly at your knees, eyes wide and darting along the length of the sofa as though seeking an escape route. “Sorry. My big mouth. Damn it, I’ll—”
Before he can formulate a clever excuse to leave, you squeeze the soft fat of his cheeks together, hard. It puckers his lips into an exaggerated pout and forcing him quiet. “You’re overthinking”.
“Overthinking? Me?” he tries, that well crafted, flippant mien fracturing under the movement between your bodies. “Never”.
You release, and his expression startles with the sharp flick of a finger. A faint pink mark blossoms at the point of impact, right between his brows, and they pinch tight into a petulant frown. Rubbing at the spot he complains, “Do you usually physically assault your guests?”
“Stop that,” you mutter.
Feigning ignorance, “Stop what?”
Reigen blinks, swallowing thickly as you gently grasp his wrist. Punctuating the words with a kiss to the palm of his hand, the heel, the quickening pulse, “You can’t bullshit here, Arataka. Not to me. Your body is a little too honest for that”.
He wheezes, “Could you be merciful for once in your life?”
You cradle the back of his head as it falls forward to rest against your shoulder and his hands slide up your back, clutching your shirt. He groans pitifully, “This is worse than the time I confessed in middle school with my fly open. I’m about to cum in my pants. I haven’t done that in years—!”
The way he holds you betrays him. Grip tight around you as he speaks, squeezing to settle the nerves and keep you close, afraid you’ll leave despite his own urge to flee. You coo as you feel his cock throb and the restraint falls away for a fleeting moment; he turns, open mouthed, and keens into the juncture of your throat.
“You know I want you too, right?” you rasp, repositioning your knees and building the pace, grinding down into his lap, spurred on by the wet hiss beneath your ear. “Feel that?”
Crossing his arms around the small of your back, as if to tether himself, Reigen tries to mirror your rhythm. Bending at an awkward angle, you hook your fingers beneath his chin and force him to look at you, never faltering. You take it in— Reigen isn’t conventionally attractive by any means but that somehow played to his charm. Now, with his pupils blown, lashes damp and clumped into little spikes, hair clinging to the thin sheen of sweat across his forehead, you have to admit the view is quite a good one.
His lips part for breath, tongue peeking between his canines. There’s something intense in his gaze and it looks like a plea that you want to instinctively chase, hyper aware of how simple it would be to kiss him. You keep him there a while longer, mouths brushing with each rise and fall of your hips, until a whine breaks the tension.
“Please”.
You meet in the middle in a free fall. Crude wet sounds reverberate throughout the room. You think you can taste the lingering flavour of peppermint as you pluck your name from his throat, mapping out the grooves of his teeth, directionless and sloppy.
With surprising strength he holds you tight to his front and anchors your hips to begin frantically rutting up into your heat. His eyes roll back and close, lashes casting a thin shadow over his red cheeks. You watch in awe, mumbling disjointed praises as he surrenders to it; his surroundings fall away until you’re the only thing left— trapped in his clutches, being humped like a pillow.
Reigen shudders. He moans unabashedly and the hair on your arms stands on end as it frissons through your body, throbbing between your thighs. You rock forward with the force of his hips, gasping at the sudden bang behind you where his feet kick out and hit the coffee table. Years of pent up arousal spills into his pyjama pants, saturating the thin fabric enough to feel it sticky through your shorts.
“Holy shit Arataka,” you mumble, brushing his damp hair away from his forehead as you lean back and look where your bodies align— where he’s still slowly grinding against you, hissing through the sensitivity. “Wait. You don’t need to—”
“I can keep going,” he insists breathily. While his voice is weak and unconvincing, his expression is set into familiar false confidence to bury what is likely embarrassment. You knew him well enough to guess what he was thinking. Probably suffocating in unfounded embarrassment and scorning himself for not following some self implemented rule of making his partner cum first.
His slow, purposeful friction is hard to ignore. “Okay,” petting his cheek with one hand, you concede. The other descends his torso, a finger slipping under his waistband, grazing the hair leading down his navel.
“Take these off first”.
The choice is easy.

Tumblr media
You sit on the cool platform of the balcony after your shower, your hair still somewhat wet as you let it air dry. You lean against the thinly grated railing, gazing mindlessly at the giant broccoli that rooted itself in the center of Seasoning City. Unlike the chaos that took place just hours before, the night is quiet and serene. The city had its share of psychic damage and infrastructures that needed repair but, that was for tomorrow to worry about. Now, it was time to rest.
The screen door behind you carefully slides open with an old un-oiled squeal. You turn to look over your shoulder and catch Reigen scowling at his screeching door frame with a tired, displeased expression on his face.
It looks like he just finished showering. Some water beads still drip from his half-dried hair. He’s finally out of his torn, ashen suit and wearing some comfy lounging shorts to pair with his ugly bear shirt. You’re not sure if this is an upgrade or worse. He looks back down at you and smiles.
“Hey.” You smile back at him.
“Hi.”
“You getting chilly out here?” he whispers.
“Only a little. It’s nice, though,” you look out towards where the white moon teases the tops of buildings far away, “Being able to get some fresh air and all that.”
Reigen hums in agreement and shifts his weight onto his hip as he leans against the doorframe. He matches your gaze and shares this moment of silence with a gentle sigh.
“Well, why don’t you come back inside? Don’t want you falling asleep out here and catching a cold in the morning.” You stand back up with a gentle grunt and join him back inside the warmly lit apartment. When your eyes finally adjust to the interior you find yourself holding back a laugh at the sight in front of you.
Since everyone’s homes had been compromised by psychic attacks and fires, Reigen offered to share his apartment space, at least for the night. Mob, Ritsu, Teru, and even Dimple are scattered in various positions across Reigen’s apartment. Mob was reserved the couch while the others splayed out on the floor nearby. It’s a sweet sight — all the kids finally getting the rest they need.
“Geez, out like a light already. It’s only 10,” Reigen laughs, hiding the fact that his own eyes were struggling to stay open too. You could see the fatigue in him evidently by the way he slouched his shoulders forward and slowly moved his eyes with this hazy look.
You watch the green glow from Dimple’s round and wriggly form rise up and down beside Mob’s head on the couch. There was some fascination in the way his motions mimicked the boy’s slow human breathing. You murmur, “I didn’t even realize spirits could sleep.”
The comment elicits a soft chuckle from Reigen. He walks towards his deshi and stops just shy of the edge of the couch before crouching down and watching the boy.
You join his parental gaze from a distance. “You’d never guess he was the same kid that took down Claw earlier today with how calm he looks sleeping.”
“...Yeah. He really went all out today,” Reigen sighs, brushing a section of Mob’s bangs out of his sleeping eyes. The middle schooler scrunches his face for a second then relaxes, smiling in his deep sleep. The master strokes his student’s head a few more times and watches dejectedly.
“He’s incredible for his age. I mean, look at how much he’s done already! This kid is so good in every single way. But… I worry for him sometimes,” Reigen thinks back on the fight just a few hours ago and how he stood by, unable to do anything as he watched the kid get tossed around and twisted like a ragdoll. He cringes a little at the memory and frowns deeply. “I just can’t imagine the kind of stress he’s experiencing at this age.”
There’s this urge to reach out to him and hold him, telling him it’s okay. That it’s not his fault. Because you know he’s thinking it. After all this time working for Reigen, you could say that you’ve got his mannerisms down to a T. The way his brows twitch downward when he’s caught off guard or how the edge of his lip trembles when he doesn’t like something. He’s especially silent when he’s stuck ruminating in his head or when he starts stimming his fingers without realizing it.
But there are also the times when he’s laughing just a little too hard at something you’ve said or when he tries to hide the warm glow on his cheeks by turning his head away and biting back the smile on his face. Or more recently, when he’ll fix his hair every 5 seconds or have his hand on the back of his neck and talk extra-fast when he’s happy. Little habits like that remind you of why you love going to work every morning.
“Hey, thanks again… For uh, agreeing to stay the night and help with all the kids and stuff despite it all being super short notice,” he mentions as he pulls the blanket a little higher over Mob’s sleeping shoulders. He turns towards you but looks down, sweeping a tuft of hair away from his face before rubbing the back of his neck and smiling softly.
“I don’t know if I could’ve managed on my own.”
“Don’t worry about it. It’s the least I could do,” you say honestly. Reigen pulls a tight-lipped smile.
“I know. But… still.” The two of you share a brief moment, staring at one another. You quickly start squirming and break the silence.
“I could really go for a lemon sour right about now.” Reigen lifts his head and looks at you with wide eyes. His brows jump up once he processes it.
“Oh- Wait, really?” You nod back at him with a teasing smile. He laughs back in amusement. “Hah. I… Yeah, I can certainly do that. You’ve come to the guy for one of those. Just- Hang on,” Reigen mumbles as he disappears around the corner to raid his kitchen. You smile to yourself watching him scramble off, nearly tripping as he tries to make the least amount of noise.
The blonde quickly returns after a few soft thuds with two aluminum cans in either hand and nods past you, breathing a little heavier. “Wanna sit outside?”
“Yeah. You got your bearings?” You eye his disheveled appearance. You swear, this man can’t do a single thing gracefully. Reigen barks in a hushed tone to avoid stirring the kids awake.
“Look, I just- You never drink let alone a sour! It’s like an event! I’ve been dying to drink one of these.” You snort under your breath and slowly open the squeaky screen door for him. Once you’re outside, you both settle into different sitting positions on the concrete balcony. Reigen leaning back onto his elbows and you sitting on your legs.
The conman tosses you an icy-cold can. You catch it easily and the two of you crack the drinks open to take long sips. Reigen swallows his drink with a loud, obnoxious sigh. You roll your eyes at his ill table manners and look back at the view in front of you.
You weren’t sure what it was about the moon that pulled you in so easily. Maybe it was the comfortable haze that surrounded it as it rose to its peak of the night sky. Or the idea that there were millions of others around the world sharing this experience with you at this very moment. The man next to you suddenly started giggling to himself.
“Geez,” Reigen laughs, “Look at us both.” You raise a curious brow before taking another sip.
“What are you talking about?”
“Just- This scene of us drinking alcohol late at night like. Stargazing or whatever. Reminds me of being a teenager sneaking out to drink,” he snickers into his can. It fascinates you every time to watch the alcohol visibly enter his system. The peachy glow of his cheeks as he laughs and how his eyes get a little heavier as he gets more giggly. But he’s not shit-faced drunk. Not at all. Comfortably buzzed seems more appropriate.
“What, did you drink a lot as a kid? Is that what you’re telling me?” You poke fun at him. “Not a very good example you’re setting for these kids, Shishou.” Reigen snorts and sits up, resting his chin in his hand as he gazes forward.
“I meant that as like. Teens in general, you idiot. There are a lot of stupid things I did when I was younger. But no. No alcohol,” he shuts his eyes as he reminisces. He rocks back on his arms, bumping his toes in front of him in a little rhythm. The cool air helps level his head and he hums lowly in thought.
“To be honest. I think I was a broken kid.”
This comment catches you off-guard. You turn your head to him and he’s still looking out at the city past the railings. The small smile on his lips fades away as he takes a deep breath in.
“I just… I keep thinking about Mob after everything that happened today. He practically handled all of that by himself… I almost got killed trying to save him. And in the end, he saved me anyway.”
“I think… I’m just finally realizing that that kid is more capable than I want to believe. He’s not 10 anymore. He’s grown up so much. Does he even need me anymore?” he wonders aloud with a twinge of pain in his words. “I was nothing like him when I was his age. I mean- Aside from the powers, of course.”
You watch as he clenches and unclenches his hands, picking at his fingers. “I would say I’m jealous but that doesn’t feel right. ‘Jealousy’ is… a dirty word. I’m proud of him. Really. He’s amazing. All these friends, people who love and support him. Even some young love,” he laughs half-heartedly. “I think I just sort of wish I had that too. That something special about myself.”
Reigen purses his lips and sighs deeply. “And now I’m disappointed that I didn’t try for anything back then.”
You’re not sure what brought upon this sudden confession. Perhaps the stress of the day finally caught up to him. Maybe it was the lemon sour kicking in. But one thing you knew for sure: Reigen never opened up first.
He chews on the inside of his cheek in thought then clears his throat. “Sorry for springing that on you out of nowhere. That’s not fair to you. It’s been on my mind for a while and I didn’t know what to do about it.” He lifts his can to his lips and takes a sip, sighing at the sour taste down his throat. He turns to smile at you. “Don’t worry, just forget about it, okay?”
His words bring you no comfort as you fidget next to him. You know that he’s not expecting you to coddle him. He’d much rather have you just ignore him and pretend it didn’t happen. But his words don’t sit well with you.
“...Reigen,” you start, “Growth doesn’t stop once you become an adult. From how I see it, you’ve been growing with Mob this whole time. That boy trusts you so, so much.”
He keeps his gaze down, boring holes into his lemon sour. You lower your can beside you and breathe in.
“That kid is incredible but… so are you. You do have what he has. I mean- Just take a look inside of your own apartment.” Reigen’s body visibly stiffens. He shuts his eyes, seemingly fighting himself. It’s when he realizes that you’re not going to take your stare off of him that he turns to look through the screen door behind him.
“These kids look up to you,” you reason, “They need you just as much as you need them. Maybe more.”
“And… most importantly,” you breathe, “You’re the reason why Mob is as fantastic as you think he is, you know.” Reigen’s breath hitches. The air is trapped in his throat and he turns to look at you. He looks like he’s about to burst with his wide, fearful eyes. But he also sees you for once. And he sees the hurt in your expression. The way your brows tense towards each other and the grimace on your lips. It hurts him.
“Give yourself more credit, Reigen. He’s not going to forget about you. You two are stuck together whether you like it or not.” He lowers his gaze from your eyes to his lap. His hand raises to his face and he covers his eyes.
And then he laughs.
“ ‘Give myself credit’? Oh, come on.” You frown.
“I’m serious. I’m not just saying that to-”
“No, you’re right, you’re right, it’s just,” he looks back up at you and smiles at you. “How could you say all of that and not mention yourself?”
You stare back at him blankly. “What?”
“Do you really think I could handle all of that by myself?”
“You did.”
“Yeah. All thanks to you.” You furrow your brows and shake your head quickly.
“What? No, no that’s not what I was trying to say-”
“Damn it, will you stop it?” Reigen leaned forward now, waving his hand erratically in front of your face like a madman. “It’s my turn to gush about you. Let me have some of the fun with all the crazy amazing shit I have to say too.”
Your entire body freezes up at his sudden assertion. Reigen breathes heavily upon you with almost manic energy about himself. He shifts into a position where he can prop his leg up and runs a hand through his hair bashfully.
“I mean, you’ve supported me so much over the years. Like, seriously. Who else would be as crazy as I am to just. Go along with some impulsive guy because he read something in a crappy paper ad? Listening to all my dumbass ideas even if you know most of them aren’t going to work? And for what? So that we can have a little fun while it lasts?”
“And I feel like that’s just how a lot of my life goes. I try something new and I get bored and then I repeat that again and again and again until I’m sick of it. Just trying to make something last for a change because nothing ever does for me.”
Reigen’s talking speed slows down and he’s no longer rambling. His eyes have a certain tenderness in them when he looks back at you. “You and Mob? You two… are the only things in my life that I will never get tired of.” His stare pins you in place and you feel a shiver rip through you.
“Reigen…”
The blonde leans closer to you now, dropping his head low. “L/n, you ground me. You get that? You make up who I am.”
You’re speechless. You feel like your entire world is spinning with the night sky soaring around you. Your mind tries to convince you that it’s some kind of dream. But he’s really here in front of you, staring at you with needy eyes that speak for themselves.
“I’m sorry. A real grand speech I did there. You just can’t even begin to see how much you mean to me. And it’s so freaking annoying.” You raise your hand to his face and brush a section of soft blonde hair away so that you can see his eyes a little more clearly.
“Reigen,” you mutter, “Do you really mean all that…?” Reigen grabs your hand and squeezes it, bowing his head down.
“...Yeah. Of course, I do.” You pull a tight smile and hold his face with one hand, rubbing small circles on his cheek with your thumb, savoring the velvety texture of his skin underneath. He leans into your touch and sighs, cracking an eye open.
He admires the way the light from the forgiving moon frames your face. From the soft curves to the stronger edges of your features. But he mainly drinks up the way you look back at him with the same drunken eyes.
“You’re a real sight. You know that?” Reigen mumbles earnestly into your palm. You hum back in response, the two of you hovering closer. His eyes float across your entire face, looking at you like a piece of art, flickering between your lips and your eyes. His tongue pokes out to wet his lips subconsciously.
“Hey, uh. How angry would you be if I kissed you right now?” Reigen whispers close to your face. You can’t help but grin at the innocent question. Your hand snakes to the back of his neck and you pull him in and press your lips against his.
Reigen squeezes his eyes shut and he doesn’t take long to melt into the kiss. His hands carefully find their place on your sides, slowly sliding down to wrap around your waist, pulling you closer to him. He pulls at your shirt and sighs in your lips.
Reluctantly, he parts lips with you and gives you both a chance to catch your breaths. The two of you pant gently, hearts drumming so hard in your chests it hurts. You rest your forehead against his, mirroring his embarrassed glow.
“Is this okay?” Reigen asks as he searches your eyes for any reluctance. You only smile back and kiss him one more time. Your lips roll against his and he angles his head to deepen it. You can taste the faint flavor of cigarette smoke on your tongue mixed with lemons. It’s so very Reigen.
When you pull away the second time, he’s red in the face laughing out of pure joy, eyes half-lidded and obsessed with the essence of you. A sight that makes your heart jolt.
“Yes. This is very okay.” Reigen chuckles lightly and holds your hand, rubbing his thumb over your skin and placing a gentle kiss on your forehead. A yawn slips from your lips without warning. Reigen laughs against your skin and brushes your hair away from your face.
“It’s been a hell of a day. Maybe we should get some rest inside of the actual apartment. I dunno how we’d explain it to those guys if they found us like this in the morning.”
“Yeah. That would be reaaaally embarrassing.”
“Very,” Reigen nods. But neither of you makes the first move to get up. You both stare a little longer and inevitably, his lips are back on yours again, sharing soft kisses. His arms wrap around you, pulling you against his chest. He pulls away just enough so that your noses are still touching and he whispers before falling asleep.
“Thank you. For everything you do.”

Reader is a messy eater
Tumblr media
Prompt : What if Reader is a messy eater like, if not more so than, Reigen ? Reigen, Serizawa, Ekubo and Yoshioka react to seeing you having a mess on your face, and their reaction of it.
CW : mention of food
Pairing : Ekubo/Reader, Reigen/Reader, Serizawa/Reader, Yoshioka/Reader Dynamic : Non specified dynamic
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
•Arataka doesn't notice his own mess, ever - but he notices yours. Always ends up laughing about it, and teasing you about it gently, but as he speaks his smile will often wobbles a little because... Oh. Oh, that's, that's really cute, actually. He licks his thumb and wipes your face with affection, until he gets all of it off your skin, or you complain and get him to stop. Will, absolutely, fully die of loving fluster if you do the same to him, rarely ever would complain about you doing it.
Tumblr media
•Katsuya thinks it's a funny, 'rolls eyes in fondness' quirk his friend, Arataka, has - but you ? He thinks it's cute. He does think it's cute, in a way, with Arataka too, but coupled with his feelings for you, it's a much different type of it. The type that gets him to coo at you, calling out to "Hold on, look at me my love" in a toothrooting sweet tone, and wipe the whatever's on your face with a tissue or clothe, if you let him, with a sunshine smile and a happy "There you go !" when he's done.
Tumblr media
•Ekubo's favorite thing in life is love born bullying. Obviously, as much of a little shit as he is, he knows how to be responsible with this kind of attitudes but, if he can ? He's going off. "Do you even know how to eat ?", "Damn I should create a competition between you and the loser", "Should I put you back in school ?", "You know maybe I should just feed you" all the while wiping your face with whatever he could grab, only a little rough with it, not enough to hurt but definitely enough you'll complain a bit.
Tumblr media
•Yoshioka's picture taking instinct gets triggered ! Pictures galore. Never will be used for blackmailing, either from him or ever available for your friends to use against you. He only shares the one you approve. He just has a bit of a picture collection quirk in general, so of course it applies to you too. He gives you a tissue before thinking about how he could have wiped your face for you and it being cute... but ultimately values independance through simple tasks and worries you'd find it annoying if he did it.

hope you like it ! leave a comment and reblog. my requests are open <3

"Want to go get ice cream?"
"Your treat?"
"You're asking for too much here, don't you think?"
You let out a soft laugh, watching Reigen get up from his seat and stretch his back after a long day of slouching over his laptop and meeting several clients. The window behind him shows the sun setting, coloring the once-blue sky with an orange—almost reddish—tint.
It wasn't often that you get to see Reigen, well, not as often as you'd like because of your busy schedules, which is why you both made the most out of your time when you find yourselves in the presence of the other whether in the form of getting ice cream, ramen, takoyaki, or just walking around Seasoning City.
The walk to the ice cream parlor was filled with chatter, sharing how your days have been with each other and complaining about your respective jobs here and there, and Reigen talking about his minimum-wage workers with such pride and fondness like he was talking about his own kids.
When you arrived at the place, there weren't any seats left so you both agreed to just buy ice cream and go to a nearby park, spending your time there until you both finally deem it late enough to go home.
You ordered your favorites and you weren't surprised when Reigen stopped you when you went to pull out your wallet despite his words earlier.
"You can pay me back later," he said, placing his index finger on his chin as he pretends to think, "Maybe by treating me to that one restaurant that opened not long ago..."
You roll your eyes at the man, hand reaching out to take your dessert as he does the same before you both exit the premises.
Now walking side by side once again, you can't help but notice as Reigen devoured his own treat, making you wince internally. You already knew he was a messy eater, but you didn't expect him to still be this messy even with a cone of ice cream.
Your eyes trace the cupid bow of his lips as he decided to take a break from mauling his own cone, and your gaze trail over the remnants of the treat still resting on his lower lip, about to run down his chin.
Your mind blanked at the moment, and your body went into autopilot—reenacting the only thought that remained in your mind.
"Reigen?"
The man stops walking at the call of his name, turning to see the blank look on your face which made him scrunch his brows in concern.
"Is everything oka-"
He didn't get to finish his words as you silently take a step closer to him, your dominant hand raising to cup his jaw gently before you leaned forward, your lips warming up his cold ones as they meet.
Reigen's mind short-circuited.
His gaze travels to the top of your head, the warmth he feels from your lips extending to his face as he turns bright red, to the tips of his ears and even down his neck. His hand almost crushed the cone he was holding as he feels you lightly suck on his lower lip before the wetness of your tongue soothes the area. Just as he was about to kiss back, you suddenly pulled away.
He didn't know what you think as he looks at your innocently smiling face, eyes closed, before chastising him.
"There was ice cream on your lip," you told him as if you hadn't just kissed him in the middle of the street, "You're always so messy when you eat."
And with that, you just turned around and focused on your own cone.
His gaze travels from you to the cone in his hand, before going back to you, now trained specifically on your lips as you eat your own treat.
You look back at him, unsure of what to think, and yet, your mind still runs a mile per minute.
Why did you do that? Oh God. This is it. He's going to be so mad, he'll be so pissed. He'll call the police on you. This is where your friendship ends.
The man finally gets over his initial shock and starts moving, prompting you to watch him like a hawk, ready to yell out your apologies for being so bold at any moment.
However, it was your turn to be shocked as you watch him shove his ice cream and smear it on his lips with a small smirk while his brown gaze studies your expression.
"Ah, I messed up again, I really am a messy eater," he said with a poor attempt to sound shocked and regretful, "I don't want to bother you, but, would you mind?"
You let out a small laugh from relief as you approach him again, placing your hand back on his cheek as you give him a bashful smile.
"Be as messy of an eater as you'd like," you told him, feeling the warmth of his hand as it snakes to your lower back, pulling you closer to him with your front now mushed against his,
"I'll be here to clean you up anytime."

Ohhh could you write some platonic and romantic headcanons for reigen arataka from mob psycho please??
Reigen Arataka (Platonic & Romantic Headcanons)
WARNING: yandere, psychological manipulation, toxic mindset.
Tumblr media
PLATONIC:
Reigen seeks to impress and dazzle his friend through the use of clever words and shows of skill. His execution of this dream leaves much to be desired, for it often boils down to Reigen regurgitating something he read on the internet and boasting about past exorcisms where Mob did all the work.
He can be rather pedantic as he details a false history of exorcisms and introduces himself as the leading superstar in his field. Reigen lies about his qualifications for assisting his friend with any of their problems, telling half-truths about a time when he faced a similar issue and acting like he has everything under control when everything is going wrong.
Reigen tries to convince his friend to quit their job and come work for him in the paranormal trade. The pay is low, and there are few, if any, benefits. However, Reigen claims that the pleasure of his company and the joy of helping others will be more than satisfactory.
If his friend voices doubt about his abilities, Reigen assures them that he operates on such a high level that he only seems powerless to confuse evil spirits. Mob corroborates his story, but Reigen panics and asks Mob to let him borrow some psychic powers if his friend turns out to be an esper.
He fakes an injury to pull his friend away from another person and get them to focus on him. When the other person goes to speak again, they are blamed for the supposed injury and stuck with the medical bills. Reigen whips out his telephone and pretends to be a celebrity in distress to urge the person to leave quietly.
Once they go in despair or shame, Reigen seizes the moment and begins an unprompted discussion of his achievements, many of which are stolen from popular media and other people. He is miraculously healed as soon as the area is devoid of everyone but himself and his friend, and he recommends heading back to his office and sharing a cup of tea for the rest of the day.
Mob watches as Reigen chases after his friend with claims that they need to be in constant contact with him to stay safe from evil spirits and wonders if this is how friendship is meant to look. Reigen does little to help this misconception, as he instructs Mob to be on the lookout for any bad energy around his friend.
ROMANTIC:
Reigen never wastes an opportunity to grandstand in front of clients, and he is forever after the business of his partner. Their private life, their dietary preferences, their stance on social matters—Reigen acts as if he knows all about it from the start when, in reality, he infers bits and pieces of it from each interaction.
When Reigen notices that his partner is spending lots of time with someone else, he is not about to start a fistfight like a banchō or deal out threats like poker cards. Reigen is generally a violence-averse soul, so he opts for interrupting the next conversation and pretending to be an expert on whatever the topic is.
He spouts factoids and trivia that he cobbled together, all in the name of throwing shade at the other person. Reigen denies any knowledge of this goal and claims that he is merely a purveyor of information.
While Dimple is calling his bluff and accusing him of being desperate, Reigen struggles to keep a straight face and resumes talking until the other person is driven away. Should his partner be able to hear Dimple, Reigen dismisses his comments as jokes and swats at Dimple to shut up.
If his partner ever comes to him with paranormal troubles, Reigen drops everything and throws several discounts and special offers at them to ensure that they leave his office with a good opinion of him. He has Mob on speed dial in case an evil spirit decides to show its face, but in the meantime, Reigen proposes a massage.
Reigen will likely lie and say that the alleged spirit is either too powerful for one treatment to exorcise it or too elusive to reveal itself in full yet. Either way, his partner is encouraged to return to the Spirits and Such Consultation Office for follow-up visits.
He thinks he is the epitome of smooth when he suggests that eating ramen together at a restaurant is a smart way to draw the spirit into the open. This evolves into Reigen declaring that he must explore his partner's home in search of cursed items, and if his request is rejected, he makes the counteroffer to escort them throughout their day as a spiritual bodyguard.

Bath Sex Headcanons
includes: Reigen Arataka
warnings: nsfw minors dni, gn!reader with unspecified genitalia, penetrative sex, slight exhibitionism, fluff
(I’ve got Reigen brain rot but I’m too tired to write a fic so this happened)
• One thing that Reigen loves after a long day of work is to step under the warm stream of water in his shower and let the stress roll off and relax. Of course once you enter his life, he wants to include you, but his shower is really small and the neighbors have complained about you both using all the hot water. Luckily he’s resourceful.
• He finds a beautiful, natural hot spring outside of town, and after convincing people that he and you have to “exorcise” the spring and can’t be disturbed, you get it all to yourselves.
• It starts off fairly innocent. The warm water is good for aching muscles and relaxation, but considering you both hopped in naked and you end up leaning against him, he gets hard. His face is burnt red as he babbles about something to distract you, but luckily you’re feeling a little excited too.
• Is it partially because the bubbling water conceals his body a bit and he’s always been a bit self conscious of his physique? Yes. But the warm, cozy atmosphere helps, and he loves you so much he can’t help using the extra wetness to his advantage, slipping a finger in easily.
• He ends up fucking you there, the warm water keeping his muscles relaxed and his face heated red. “It’s almost as hot as you.” He jokes, melting when you snicker at his antics.
• After that he wants to do it again, but the hot spring idea probably won’t work again, and he doesn’t have a bath in his apartment, so he starts planning something special.
• One day you’re suddenly led off by your boyfriend as he takes you to a hotel where a special spa suite waits for you. You can’t stop hugging him when he says he’s been saving up to take you there, a sheepish grin on his face as he fidgets.
• The bath is large and soon filled with sweet smelling soap as you recline in the warmth against his chest, letting him run his hands down your chest and arms before he kneads gently at your muscles.
• When you turn around to massage his scalp gently with shampoo, he whimpers at the way your touch makes him shiver, his cock stirring as your chests press together and you place kisses on his neck.
• “C’mere,” he groans as you start getting handsy with each other, teasing your entrance before he lowers you on his length to ride him. “Nice and slow baby, that’s perfect- ohh just like that baby-”
• You move carefully so the water doesn’t splash onto the floor, but Reigen bucks up into you everytime you still to check that the floor is dry. Your hands move to grab his hair again, pulling the wet strands and scratching his scalp as he groans against your neck.
• When you both finally cum, he empties the bath and wraps you in a fluffy towel before carrying you to the bed. You giggle a little when he tries to dry his hair, it sticking up in different spots in an unruly mess. The giggling stops when he comes back to crawl over you on the bed, a proud smirk on his face at how your naked body shivers.
• He goes for another round without even worrying about how he looks, his heart full of love for you and his body light from the bath and afterglow. You end up having slow, gentle sex on the bed, the pace almost agonizing, but the exchanged touches and loving words making you feel like you’re on cloud nine.
• “Love you.” He says with a slight hiccup from trying to stop a sob, all his overwhelming love and desire for you coming to a head. You cum soon after, and as soon as you moan out a “I love you too” he cums.

ty ❤️
Of course!! Love my boy mob, so i had to do this one.
Character: Shigeo Kageyama/Mob
Request? Yes
Female pronouns and indicated female reader
Friends? Friends!
Tumblr media
To be honest, you had noticed mob being alone since well, since you first saw him, and you'd always wanted to talk to him. The only thing you were lacking was courage, because well, you werent the most extroverted person ever, but you had finally built up the courage to talk to him at lunch.
"Hey, can i sit here?" You asked the elder of the Kageyama brothers. "Oh uh, y-yes" he stuttered with a blush, obviously not used to talking with many girls. It was a bit quiet for a couple minutes while the two of you were eating, but then you broke the silence "Ah, im sorry if i seem weird, you just seemed a bit lonely so i thought that maybe we could be friends, of course only if you want to" now you were the one blushing and sweating a bit. "Friends?" "Friends!" "I-i'd love to!" While saying that, he lit up and the blush that already dusted his cheeks became more prominent.
"God, i almost forgot to introduce myself, I'm [l/n] [y/n], you're mob, right?" He seemed a bit surprised that you knew him, but quickly composed himself "yeah, my name is Kageyama Shigeo, but most people call me Mob" the sentence that he'd said was followed by a smile, and you smiled back.
That was 3 years ago, and now you two were what you'd consider best friends, you hadn't told him out right that you thought the two of you were best friends, but you thought it was a bit obvious, even with how oblivious he was.
"Hey mom, where're we going?" You asked, as you and your mom were getting ready to go out. "Ah, we're going over to your uncles office, its been a while since i've seen him." Your uncle, it had been a while since you'd seen the man, but he was a really cool uncle (if you looked away from his job (being a con man)). And guess who this mysterious man was. It was the one and only Reigen Arataka, your moms younger brother.
Arriving at the office, you didnt expect to see anyone you knew but your uncle, but to your suprise, Mob was there as well. "Master, i have to go now, i'll see you next time." The familiar voice of your best friend said as you came to the office. "Mob?" "[Y/n]?" You had come on first name basis, but mob just seemed to stick with the name you called him, so you kept calling him mob.
"You two know each other?" Reigen asked, not too surprised since you were the same age and went to the same school. "Yeah! Me and Mob are best friends" and at the words 'best friends', Mob's eyes widened and he began blushing like the first time you two met at lunch. "B-best friends?" He asked, pleasantly surprised that you thought of you guys' relationship like that. "Yeah, aren't we?" "Well, i.. i guess we are" now he was smiling, and so were you. You two were best friends, and you wish it would stay like that forever..
Heyooo gusysysysy, im sorry if this is a bit weird or anything, i tried :') but i hope you liked it!! Buh byeee

Farewell now 🔆
Sho Suzuki x childhood friend!fem!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
say lessssss [sorry haven't been around much y'all 🫠 its my final year in school and I'm in school like nearly 10 hrs everyday HELP MEEE]
anime masterlist
You had been friends with Sho since you both were in diapers. He was a family friend, but as time went by, the relationship between your families sort of.. Just went away. You never really knew the reason why, or even seen Sho's father since it happened, as a matter of fact. Nevertheless, you and Sho stayed in contact and hung out whenever possible.
Sometimes, you'd see him on top of your roof right where your window is to toss some flowers onto your windowsill he just so happened to find while walking by.
You are not an esper yourself so it's always a treat to see him use his powers. And he'd do it just to impress you! Over the years of knowing each other, he's made it a tradition to always play some tricks he can do with his powers to make you feel better on a bad day. Maybe it was something special you both have.
Ever since he's ran away from home— from his tyrant of a father, he's never really left your bedroom. When you come back from school, expect a sleeping Sho under your covers. Your own parents sometimes wonder why you always take extra food on your plate every single day. Little did they know, you're harboring an escapee!
He never really gave you details on why he ran away, just something about his father 'trying to overthrow the government' he would say, acting like it's no biggie, while munching on some chips. He says he would much rather spend time with you than listen to his father blabber about taking over the world.
And there he was now, inside of your room under the covers of your kotatsu, slurping away on some instant noodles you made when you came back from school. And you suppose this is an everyday thing now.

Mob psycho characters with a kuudere!Reader!
GN!reader.
Shiego kageyama:
When he first meet you he didnt mind that you were quiet most of the time. In fact, he enjoyed it. He likes to stay in quiet comfortable places where he can speak his mind.
He feels like he can trust your aloof personality. He finds comfort in their personality. He swears its like a soft cloud that he can reach too and cry immediately.
Ritsu Kageyama:
He’s like shiego except he actively looks for your comfort. One where he isnt judged nor looked up upon, one where you see him as him, not some member of the student council. When he first meet you he just started middle school. you happen to be at the art room talking to the teacher about something of an assignment. He was simply walking by but noticed how your voice was soft. He made it his goal to try to talk to you more often.
He adores the fact you dont lie. He feels like he can open up to you and not be ashmed of it. Its a trustworthy feeling he gets whenever hes with you. He’s constantly asking for you with your friends and everything. He simply just cares for you.
Sho suzuki:
Star eyes. He needs someone with patience. He needs someone’s reassurance. He’s glad you dont hate him. He just wants a friend afterall. He met you during he was hanging out with ritsu. He somehow spot you in a crowd and he felt like he had to get to know you.
He always felt like you never get along. But thats because he starts and ends most if the conversations. Although you think otherwise, he still thinks its a whole enemies to friends type stuff. Dont worry, he is protective over you. Whenever you leave for a few days he makes sure you safe. From afar ofc.
Teruki Hanazawa:
Teruki relates…somewhat. He thinks its all a facade. Cause he was just like that too. He learns later on that you are simply just like that. Nothing changes ofc but he feels like hes gotten a little close to you now. He meet you when he was shopping. You caught his eye. He probably thought you were attractive ofc. So he went up to talk to you..turns out you both go to the same school.
He is like the sun to your moon. He lights up your eyes and it hurts. He knows when and when not to crack jokes. you are always to one to remind him to do his homework. He brings you along when hanging out with shigeo.

DRUNK CONFESSIONS
Pairing: Serizawa Katsuya/Female Reader
Summary: As rain sprinkled down from the fuzzy sky, the breeze lazily bristled as it danced throughout the city. Today, the staff of Spirits and Suchs had to get up early to travel as Reigen was contacted for a job outside of the city. With Mob having class, this job consisted of only Serizawa, Reigen, and most significantly, you. He's not sure how long he's been drawn to you. Though, he found it difficult to ignore or obscure his little crush, especially when you’re both alone. And given how close you and Reigen are, it doesn't make things any easier for him. A drink or two should prevent him from embarrassing himself for now.

MOB PSYCHO 100 MASTERLIST | TAGLIST
A/N: Serizawa and liquor don’t go together…
The debate story is actually a true story from me lol back freshmen year. Oh and also, If this does well enough i may do a part two. So share, reblog, or comment if you like!
WORD COUNT // 3924 words
Tumblr media
The wind blew lazily as sprinkles of rain toppled from the beclouded sky, which covered the raw sunlight. Serizawa continued to close his eyes, however, as if the light were shining directly into them. It must be because of the time of day and how exhausted he was. He didn't get much sleep the night before because of his undesirable thoughts about you, a coworker. He has developed a small affection for you.
Even though it was just sprinkling, he stood at the crossing holding his plastic umbrella over his head because he couldn't risk having his suit even slightly ruined by the rain. The possibility that it might be pouring rain by the time you all return is his other justification for bringing an umbrella. Knowing you and Reigen, you both probably forgot. He sighed before crossing the street with the crowd as soon as the light goes green.
Reigen recently got a client request out of Seasoning City. Evidently, this forcing you all to wake up this early to travel. Reigen saw it as best if only the adults came since Mob has been busy with school in general while Tome had school on the day.
Serizawa closed his umbrella and held it close to his hip. He stared at the office door; he could hear you and Reigen talking animatedly inside. He shakily sighed, hoping to get this workday over without embarrassing himself. He always ended up feeling like a fool near you. Some days, he wished he could just speak freely with you like Reigen, but you both have known each other way longer. Serizawa could only hope someone brought coffee as he opened the door.
Your voice welcomes him as he places his umbrella on the door's handle. “Serizawa! You’re the last one to arrive. That’s not normal,” you pointed you. You sat in front of Reigen's desk, where typically potential customers sit to inquire about Spirits & Such Consulting services.
The mentioned man sat at his desk in front of you; Dimple floated nearby. “Was your train late?” Reigen asked before you could.
Serizawa flattens out his navy blue blazer and dim-red tie before taking place on the couch near your chair. “Uh yeah, I had to wait for the second one. I hope I didn’t inconvenience you all,” he stated.
Serizawa missing the second train didn't matter anyway, he always left hours earlier than needed. It’s practically impossible for him to truly be late in fashion; always guaranteed he’ll make it on time. He’s impressively good at time management.
You lean back on your chair and turned to keep your gaze on the man as you suggest. “If you ever need a ride, just ask me! I rarely drive anyway so it gives me an excuse to use the car my dad put so much effort in for me,” you told him, a heartwarming look in your eye.
He turned away even though he wanted to keep eye contact with you. “I’ll...keep that in mind,” he said in a moderate tone. He’s learned to avoid whispering and stuttering. Stuttering is a bit harder to avoid though.
“We should get ready to leave,” Reigen suggested. He switches his gaze to his laptop in front of him. “We’ll be there all day and make it back to Seasoning City by 2 am at the earliest,” he informed you all.
Dimple sighed from his spot; he was a moody spirit in the early mornings. “What exactly was the job anyway?” he said, a frown splattered on his face.
Serizawa silently also wanted to know as he didn’t understand the whole job they were hired for. Though, here comes your job. Serizawa isn’t sure what the official title is but you basically collect all the job information and put it in layman's terms for the employees, which is only three people, to understand. It may be a completely fake job cooked up by Reigen since he wanted an excuse for you and him to work together; but hell, you were good at it nonetheless.
“The client inherited a manor from her great, great grandparents that they abruptly abandoned decades ago without selling. She wanted to turn it into a local hotel. However, she stated she saw maids, butlers, and more resided there,” you explain; soothingly and efficiently.
Reigen proceeds where you ended. “We think they’re the former staff that used to work there. Unfortunately, the client doesn’t know much about her great-grandparents since her family had a strained relationship with them,” he added, crossing his arms.
Dimple jumped in, now not as far from the group as before. “If they’re ghosts that means they must’ve all died in the manor,” he stated.
You lean further back into the chairs as Serizawa gives his input. “It’s odd that they all died near the same time and as the same staff. I could only be assuming though...”
You nod your head in agreement with Serizawa's input. “That’s what I thought. I don’t think her great, great grandparents were so innocent,” you alleged.
Reigen shrugged. “Besides that, the drive will be 6 hours with no stops. We’ll be there by 10 am,” he informed, shutting his laptop and placing it inside its travel case.
Dimple groaned for what felt like the hundredth time that morning. “Sheesh, that’s the entire day, and almost half of that’s from driving,” he complained.
You clap your hands energetically, “Then we should get breakfast first!” you rejoiced. You didn’t get a chance to make a proper breakfast. All you had was a slice of toast like a cliche anime protagonist. "Serizawa should choose! Arataka and I picked the last time we traveled out of town,” you added to the group who didn’t object.
However, Serizawa did, shaking his head apologetically. “I-I don’t have any spare money to pay for food today. Sorry.”
Reigen shrugged. “Don’t fret, I’ll just take it out of your paycheck,” he put out. Though Serizawa, yet again, gently objected and explained his reasoning.
“Actually, I was planning on using this next pay for my mother's birthday...” he explained. You all listened with eyes on him, making him look away from your peering gazes. “Don’t worry, I can pass on food.”
You suddenly clap your hands again, as if your clap is the beginning of the shift of the mood of the room, which isn’t entirely untrue. You somehow were always able to switch the room to a more pleasant vibe after solemn ones. “Of course not, we’re going to be there a long time so you should eat regardless. I’ll pay for Serizawa’s portion of breakfast,” you boldly state, making Serizawa quickly object.
“But--” he started but you continued regardless of his cut-short protest.
“--And...he can pay me back when he can,” you added, courageous eyes staring into his eyes. “Okay?”
Serizawa sighs in defeat. He sometimes forgets how outspoken you and Reigen are. “O-Okay…” he replied.
You beamed. “Tell your mom I said happy birthday too,” you added.
Before the man could respond Dimple speaks up. The room's mood now is desirable again. “I’m not one for food, too much work to digest.”
“Doesn’t matter, it makes it cheaper for all of us if you don’t eat.” Reigen retorted. It wasn't like Dimple ever paid for himself anyway, he thought.
“So, whatcha craving Serizawa?” you asked, a small smile present on your face, making Serizawa silently lost in his thoughts for too long.
So long that Reigen spoke before he could answer. “Well I’m personally down for anything, I just need something to wake me up. I only had toast before leaving the house,” he commented, making you turn to him, eyeing him suspiciously.
“Me too...are you copying me Arataka?” you jested.
He scoffs in response. “As if I’d use my energy for that!”
As you both banter like middle schoolers, Serizawa finds the strength to speak loud enough to talk over you two and catch your attention. “I kind of wanted some Miso soup,” he stated, you and Reigen were quiet for a second, making the man fearful for a minute. “But I don’t really care, I’d like anything you’d like…” he added. What he truly meant by ‘you’ was just what you wanted but the way he worded made it seem as if he was speaking of everyone.
Though, you could tell by his quick glance at you when he said it, what he truly meant. “That’s sweet, Katsuya,” you murmured, making him feel like a volcano with magma bubbling in his stomach. The way you say his first name, which is already rare, makes him feel so intoxicated.
You make a ‘peace’ sign with your hands. “That’s two for Miso soup! No objection. Arataka?” you implored his opnion.
Reigen responds in a bland tone. “Well even if I did reject I'd lose, but like I said I’m down for anything,” he explained which oddly made you recall a childhood memory.
“Funny, that’s the same reason you lost against Dictionary, 2008, Debate team, 1st year."
Dimple and Serizawa had bluntly confused expressions on their faces while Reigens morphed into an annoyed scowl. “Ugh, don’t remind me of that,” he whined, leaning back in his seat.
Serizawa asks the question that he was thinking. “You were on the Debate team Reigen-sama?” he questioned his boss.
Reigen nodded. “Yeah. All throughout high school and a little bit before that. We both were actually,” he replied, pointing his thumb at you.
You childishly point your finger back at him, your tongue sticking out. “That’s how we met when we were 1st years! We were both in Debate throughout our high school careers,” you recalled cheerfully.
Serizawa's eyes widened. He knew you and Reigen knew each other for a long time but he didn’t think it was for that long. You two must know each other so well. You both would make a great couple.
“So who’s this ‘Dictionary’ anyway?” Dimple rejoined making you laugh again. It kind of made Serizawa want to laugh too.
When you started talking, breakfast was no longer on either of your minds. “Pfft, it was this guy. maybe a 3rd year? Reigen was spouting off his argument to the judges, and Dictionary brought out a little pocket dictionary and SO desperately searched through it before commenting how Arataka had used ONE fucking word wrong and objected. He said it gave off the wrong message to the judges or some bullshit like that,” you told, barely trying to hold your laughs at this point.
“Total bullshit! The judge ended up agreeing too!!” Reigen exclaimed before sighing. He smiled at the memory. “Ah, but that was so long ago," he uttered.
Serizawa couldn’t help but comment on how long you two have known each other. “Wow, I didn’t know you both knew each other for that long.”
You visibly agreed. “Mhm! 13 years. I know, it’s unbelievable. That’s an entire Mob!” You smiled so brightly as you recalled your teenage memories with Reigen, Serizawa wished he could know you as Reigen does. But, even though he’s only known you for a year, he still knows little things about you. How you talk passionately about literally anything, or how you’re always triggered when anything changes. Like if he or Reigen tie their ties differently.
Serizawa is older than you and Reigen by 2 years, though you’re more mature than him. He sighed to himself. ‘I wish I could be bold and catch your attention,’ he thought as he stared at your side profile. ‘I want you to smile when you think of us too…’
Reigen begins to randomly check his watch for no reason in particular, but that is when he notices the time, and his eyes widen to the size of plates. “It’s been half an hour!?” he belted, his voice full of disbelief.
When he shouts this information it causes each of you to check the time on your own, and he was right, it had been 32 minutes since Serizawa’s arrival. “We should get going and hurriedly get breakfast or we’re going to be there later than planned,” he advised, putting his arms through his blazer and buttoning it up.
You stand up along with Reigen. “Damn, we got distracted,” you mumbled. Serizawa stood after you. You pointed a finger at him. “Miso soup it is Katsuya!” you declared before you all left.
The group soon grabbed breakfast before beginning their drawn-out journey. The drive was uneventful for the last few hours. In the beginning, you were able to keep in conversation with all your buddy co-workers, but once the Miso soup settled in, it made your body realize how little sleep you were. You mindlessly wished you could’ve brought your car, but your car was too small. You fell asleep in the backseat of the car.
As Reigen said earlier, this drive had no stops, meaning once you all were there you all were starving for nutrition. Even Dimple was tempted to possess a body for some food. The client was there upon your arrival, fruit in her grasp. You could’ve thanked the women to death.
As the job proceeded, Serizawa was the leader for this job unlike usual. This was because he had more knowledge of spirits and ghosts. Dimple's input also helped gravely. You were, honestly, scared out of your mind along with Reigen. So you made sure to stand close to Serizawa since he seemed to know what he was doing, which made the poor man markedly delighted.
After getting chased and screamed at by perfectionist ghosts, the job was done. Reigen’s earlier estimate was right. You all were finished not too late and made it back to Seasoning City at 2 am like predicted. That job was a doozy, but the pay made it all so worth it. Luckily the client was wealthy.
“Man, that was a doooozy,” you whined as you each walked into the office of Spirits & Suchs. You flop down onto the couch cushions and rest your eyes. “I’m exhausted—and starving again,” you declared as Serizawa sat next to you.
He digs his hand into his pocket right after you stated this fact. “Here, I picked up a few granola bars when we stopped at the convenience store.” He handed you a mixed berry granola bar.
You grabbed the bars from his hands. “You’re a lifesaver, Serizawa!” you rejoiced, a smile present on your face as you open the wrapper and take a wide bite.
Reigen sat at his desk chair after closing the door behind him and Dimple; Reigen no longer wore his blazer and his tie was loose. That job was a killer. Especially since he was the one driving to and back.
You rest your elbow on the couch handles and place your cheek on your palm as you chew. “Man, I’d kill for a drink,” you thought but ended up muttering aloud.
“Would you like me to pick something up for you?” he suggested. His gaze laying on your relaxed form. You knew Serizawa was exhausted like the rest of you, he did modestly do most of the work. He's one of the strongest Espers you know. You tend to forget this due to his forbearing nature.
You shake your head, not wanting to keep asking for things. You really should thank him more. “No, you don’t have to! Plus I don’t mean any drink, particularly some al-co-hol~” you sang. Your correction unintentionally made Serizawa feel like an idiot.
When you mentioned alcohol, you caught the attention of your dear friend Reigen. “You wanna get drunk?” he inquired.
You smiled cheekily, shrugging your shoulders also. “Kinda!”
Reigen grabbed his chin in thought. “Hmm, well I don’t have any planned clients tomorrow so I'm cool with that. Been a while since I had some good alcohol,” he stated, causing you to laugh to the point of choking.
"Pfft, no way Reigen. You’re an impressive lightweight!” you teased.
Dimple rejoined the conversation. “You are a lightweight, Reigen,” he added on to the fact, making the man scowled.
“Oh, shut up!” he barked.
“I’ve never drunk alcohol before…” Serizawa announced.
You turn your gaze onto him, somewhat surprised; well, he was two years older than you so you just assumed. “What? You’ve never been wasted?” you exclaimed your sluggish form from before disappearing.
He slowly shook his head. “Uh, no,” he admitted.
“Well, that’s not a surprise,” Dimple commented.
You sometimes forget that Serizawa only recently started going out into the world. Reigen then spoke before you could. “You don’t have to drink any. We can get something else for you,” he suggested. “We should get some dinner while we’re out too,” he added.
Serizawa quickly shook his head. “N-No, I’ve been wanting to try some for a while. Just for the experience I guess,” he said. He wasn’t lying when he said that, he did like experiencing the small things. “Is that weird? Kind of niche…” he mumbles to himself.
He lightly flinched when you touched his shoulder. The contact made him shiver in delight, he was barely able to hear what you were saying. “Of course not! We all have niche things we want to do. I personally wanna buy something from a luxurious brand just for the ‘experience.’” You didn’t want Serizawa feeling as if he was the outcast between you all.
He nodded his head, avoiding eye contact with you. Now that everything was official, you ate the last piece of your granola bar, you threw it into the bin. You then pumped your fist into the air. “Let’s all get wasted!” you declared.
Your moment was ruined when Reigen deadpanned. “Wipe your face,” he said, pointing at the crumbs on your face. You whined about how he ruined your moment and embarrassed you as you wiped the crumbs off your face. After bickering like children for an hour, you all left.
Tumblr media
You all made it back to Spirits and Such after picking up some good alcohol and food. The night was followed by friendly chatter. After hours of drinking, Reigen was the first to decide that he was ready to call it quits. Surprisingly, he wasn’t pink in the face. Dimple also decided to end the night as it was and make his leave. To be perfectly honest, you didn’t want the night to end but knew you couldn’t force them to stay. Though, it seems Serizawa also didn’t want to leave. His face was in a daze as if his mind was somewhere else entirely.
You turn your gaze to him after Reigen declared that he was ready to go home. “Serizawa, you sure you don’t wanna go with them?” you ask. Serizawa stated loudly, which was out of character, how he didn’t wanna end the night yet. “Dimple can possess somebody and drive you home. You know how to drive right, Dimple?”
Dimple responded. “Easy skill.”
Reigen scratched his nose. “Yeah, I still have that car rented for another day or two,” he added.
You all could tell he’d drunk a bit more than needed for a newbie. To his lazy posture and flushed face. Oddly, Serizawa didn’t even act like he was listening to Reigen, he ignored Reigens words and moved his face close to yours. “I’d rather stay with you,” he muttered, boldly making eye contact with you.
“Oh?” you mustered.
After a short silence, Reigen speaks. “Right… Well then, have a good night you two. Don’t forget to lock up before you leave.” He said as he opened the door, his grey blazer over his shoulder. Dimple waved you two off. “See ya later.”
Serizawa’s odd behavior did not come to a stop, even after Reigen and Dimple left. So you decide to confront him, Your eyes laced with his. “Serizawa?” You called lightly as he sat right next to you.
“Are you drunk?” you asked him.
This only made him shrug his shoulder and turn away before turning back to you. “I don’t know…but I am intoxicated by you,” he purred, making you cringe.
You sighed. “You’re drunk. You should’ve gone with Arataka,” you said more to yourself than to him. Though he responded.
“I said I’d rather be alone with you,” he repeated.
You groaned. He was sober enough to remember that. “I know what you said.” You shouldn’t have allowed him to drink so much, you thought.
What the man said next surprised you. “Mmm, If I was Reigen you wouldn’t question me. You wouldn’t worry so much about offending me," he mumbled.
You turn your head back to him, your arm on the armrest. “Katsuya, what are you talking about?”
He chuckles to himself. “You always say my name so rarely, it makes it so special to hear,” he said before frowning again. You decided it was best to just listen to him rather than to respond.
“I don’t want to worry you so much. I want you to be comfortable with me. I want you to care for me the way I care for you.” he confessed, turning his gaze to lap. “I try to be stronger, less pathetic b-but--” he sobbed, and suddenly tears were streaming down his face.“—but I don't know how to make that happen!”
You touch his arm to soothe him somehow. “Serizawa?” You wanted to ask him if he was alright but he just finished saying how he didn’t like how you constantly worried for him.
He stopped crying just as fast as he started, and he grabbed your hand that touched his bicep. “Say my first name again.” He looked up at you. “Please let me hear you say it again.”
For some reason, you mindlessly did what he asked you to do. “Katsuya~”
He groans as soon as you purr his name out “I love how you say my name. I love hearing it from your lips, I love being with you. I adore everything about you. Which makes it clear to me why you wouldn't want a man like me l-loving you…” he rambled, slouching over his lap.
It was a short silence before you began to smile at yourself. “K-Katsuya," you chuckled. "Thank you for speaking your mind with me,” you said, squeezing his hand. He turned to look at you again, he didn’t know what to say. You didn’t know what to say either: so you kissed him.
Katsuya's eyes slowly shut as you took control of the kiss. He could tell he was being needy in his kiss, but he couldn’t help it. You pulled away, his lips following you for a second. His stomach felt all hot and warm like he was going to erupt. He removed his hand from yours, quickly covering his mouth. In a second he’s behind the couch throwing up.
You stood still for a moment in shock, before realizing what he was doing. You rub his back as he embarrassedly throws up his dinner and drinks. Eventually, after he's done throwing up, he passes out from exhaustion and embarrassment.
You sighed to yourself as he slept on the couch. You wiped his face with a napkin. After thinking, you decide that you’ll both stay here for the night. He slept like a baby on the couch as you cleaned his face, and you admired his features, cupping his face before saying to yourself or him, you’re not really sure. “No. You’re not pathetic, Katsuya.”

Can I pls request a Reigen x reader one shot in which Y/n finds out shes pregnant after having a one night stand with Reigen. She first told Serizawa about it but told him to keep it a secret but Serizawa accidentally spills it to Reigen when they were having a conversation. Reigen is shocked but also offended that he was not the first to know about it but Y/n tells him she just didnt want to make things awkward between them because theyre workmates and shes also scared of his reaction. Fluff and comfort plss
A/N: hey! Sorry about the wait. Thanks for being my first coherent request! I really enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it. Also I hope you don't mind but I still used gender neutral pronouns because.. well... it didn't feel necessary to make it a fem reader, as the author is someone who can get pregnant and uses they/them. Whew been a long time since I've done an x reader lol. I hope I covered everything you requested!
Warnings: lots of fluffy comfort hehe, brief mention of abortion but it's conclusion is very ambigious (Reigen is pro choice basically)

I tapped my foot obsessively on the ground. I pulled open my phone, double checking the calendar… we were careful. I caught Reigen looking at me over his computer and I felt red creep up onto my cheeks. It was just a one time thing. It was a silly mistake. A wonderful, but ultimately one off, event. We knew that going in…
He was still looking at me. I smiled weakly, and he raised his eyebrow.
"You alright, y/n?"
A one time thing. We knew that moving forward.
"I'm fine!" I said, my voice cracking slightly. Serizawa looked up from his desk, eyebrows furrowed. "Are you alright?" I asked Reigen, trying to deter further questions.
He paused. "I'm… Fine… thanks?"
I checked my phone again. There was no doubt about it… definitely late. I don't know why it hadn't clicked until today. I just happened to notice and now I have to stay here for… 6 hours before I can check.
I tapped my feet incessantly. At least stimming was very commonplace in this office. But Reigen kept looking at me… I even felt Serizawa staring at me.
I took a deep breath. Worrying isn't going to change anything. I tried to focus on the bookkeeping, but my eyes keep blurring with tears.
I pushed my chair out, suddenly. It made a harsh scraping noise against the floor.
"Excuse me, I'll be back in a second."
"Are you sure you're okay?" Serizawa said, moving to get up, but I waved my hands dismissively.
"I'm really fine."
"Tch, okay, don't be too long then," Reigen said.
I went down the stairs and down the road to the chemist. Luckily there was one easily within walking distance of the office… It was a cold day, the wind was bristly. I rubbed my arms as I fought off the cold. It stung at my eyes. I pushed open the chemist doors and there was a whoosh of hot air from inside. And a strong smell of old people.
I made a beeline for the pregnancy tests and pushed it onto the counter. It was deserted. I made no eye contact, and hurriedly paid, before pushing into the office.
Conveniently, at least, I suddenly got the urge to pee. I pushed open the door to the toilet for our office. In all other circumstances it being outside the main room was inconvenient, but I was thankful now for the privacy.
Now we wait… I always hated waiting. My hands were shaking. It was just a one off thing… it wasn't meant to have CONSEQUENCES.
Two lines.
Faint, but clear as day.
What. The. Fuck.
I couldn't begin to process. I felt my body slump forward, and I just sobbed. I can't tell him. But doesn't he deserve to know? He can't know. It will ruin everything. It will be so awkward, he's gonna hate me, I'm pregnant oh my god I'm pregnant with Reigen Arataka's baby, I can't do this, I can't tell him, I'm-
I heard a knock on the door. I gasped and tried desperately to hold back the sobs.
"Y/n? Is that you?" Serozawa spoke softly.
I sniffled.
I heard him sit down on the other side of the door.
"Listen, I know I'm not the most put together person but I care about you. I'm a good listener I promise."
I shuffled over to the door and sat with my back against it.
"Do you wanna talk about it? I've been told I give great hugs."
I giggled slightly then sighed. "I think I'm pregnant."
He was silent for a long time.
"Oh. Right…"
"Yeah. I just took a test."
"Do you know who the father is?"
"Regrettably, yeah… It's Reigen."
"Oh. Well… I'm sure he'll be supportive. He can come off a bit… you know… sometimes, but, as you know, he's a great guy and he's good with kids so-"
"He can't know." I said suddenly, surprising myself. Serizawa went silent again. "At least not yet…"
"Okay. Well. It's gonna be okay. I promise."
I laughed. "I don't believe you."
"Try hugging me first." Serizawa said, and I stood up slowly. I opened the door, and he stood up. I basically fell into his arms. He wrapped his arms around me tight, and held my head with his hand, holding me close. He smelt like fresh laundry detergent, and he was unbelievably warm.
"You're right, you give great hugs." I squished my face into his chest. Maybe it was gonna be okay.
"Hey, what are you two doing?! I pay you to work!" Reigen said, walking out of the office to see where his two best employees had gone.
"Sorry boss. I just heard y/n crying so I came to check on them."
"Oh," Reigen's expression softened, as he looked at me. He went to reach out, but then shoved his hands in his pockets awkwardly. "What's wrong?"
"Oh nothing. Just that time of the month." I winced.
"Right… we could go for drinks later if you like? Cheer you up?"
"Um, maybe that's not the best idea." Serizawa said. I glared at him. Reigen looked at him confused, as panic started to set into his face and he stood like a deer in the headlights.
"What do you mean?"
Serizawa stammered. "Well, um, uhhh, your a lightweight?"
Reigen blinked slowly. "That's never changed anything. What's wrong? I'm not leaving until this is resolved. That's the boss's job." He waved his hands emphatically.
I looked desperately at Serizawa. I was sweating bullets and so was he. God damn it. I couldn't think of anything to say.
Reigen tapped his foot and waved his hands again. "Well? I'm waiting!"
"Y/n is pregnant!"
"What?!" Reigen and I both exclaimed loudly, staring incredulous at Serizawa.
Serizawa looked like he was about to cry. "I'm so sorry I was scared and it had to come out eventually but I'm still so so sorry-"
I sighed and wrapped my arm around a crying Serizawa as Reigen stared at me. I couldn't read his expression. He looked shocked but I couldn't tell beyond that. I gave Serizawa a hug. "Do you mind giving us a minute?"
He nodded and slunk back into the office.
Reigen stood there. Blinking. Expressionless.
"You're pregnant."
I wrung out my hands. "Well, it's too early to really tell, but the urine test was positive and I'm late for my period."
"It's mine."
"Mhm." I almost tore off my skin with how quick I was rubbing my hands together. Reigen silently reached out and took my hands, still staring into the distance.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"I only found out 5 minutes ago."
"Serizawa said 'it was gonna come out eventually'. You were planning on keeping my child a secret?"
Oh boy.
"No, of course not, I just wanted some time. At least confirm it with a doctor. I didn'twant to make things awkward... I'm sorry. I was scared."
Reigen nodded slowly, still staring into the distance, before shrugging. "I suppose that makes sense…"
I nodded.
We stood in silence for what felt like hours. The buzz of the radiator is the only noise.
"What now…?"
Reigen took a deep breath. "I care about you deeply."
I blushed despite the cold.
"Whatever our relationship is, I want to be involved, and I want to help you." He squeezed my hands and finally made eye contact. "We're in this together. If you want to be."
"I do want to be…" I mumbled.
He pulled me in close for a hug. He was colder than Serizawa, and smaller, but he held on tighter. He held on like he was scared to let go.
"I want you to know I support you no matter what choice you take. Including a safe abortion, or putting it up for adoption. We're in this together, but it's your body, and it's up to you."
I squeezed him in tight, burying my nose in his neck.
"Now… How about we take the rest of the day off, hey?" He said, rubbing my shoulder. "Go drink some lemonade and talk about this."
I nodded. "I'd like that."

Dad Reigen putting his jogging routine on hold as he becomes too busy between work and your kid. Maybe he even let's the stubble grow out a bit. Doesn't notice until one day one of his button ups feel just a tad bit more snug than usual. He begins to feel a little self conscious over having let himself go a bit, but you more than assure him that the dad look absolutely suits him and that you're not any less attracted to him now than you were when you first started dating.

*₊˚💬୧ ohohohoh. this. does things to me.
tw:// breastfeeding (?) idk man. LMAO
You hear him curse under his breath when it happens. It catches your attention because there's an air of sadness to it that's so... Unlike him.
"What's wrong, love?" Your words hang in the balance, the only sound occupying the space around you being the gentle suckling from your infant having breakfast. You ask but you know, recognizing that hesitant sway one does in front of a mirror when they don't like what they see.
"Shirt's a little tight." Reigen has never been good at hiding his emotions from you and he knows it to be true then, ears burning with anticipation of what you're going to say. He knows you'll comfort him but he doesn't want to be in this situation in the first place. He can't help but already chide himself, for not doing enough because now he's... This. And after all the work he put into himself in the first place.
You multitask, it's what you've become an expert at over the last few months. Baby now over your shoulder, your hand softly patting his back, you shimmy off the mattress and come to Reigen's side. "Oh, honey..." The way he looks at you breaks your heart, eyes sullen with disappointment and a forced smile on his face that he knows won't trick you but he tries anyways. Call it a force of habit.
"Man, I didn't wanna spend money on new clothes." He grumbles, straightening out the shirt in a hopeful attempt that space will be made somehow.
Resting on his shoulder, a little bounce to you as you continue trying to coax a burp from your baby, your eyes meet in the mirror, "It's not about the money, is it?" Before he can rouse a response, your baby gives you what you want: a quiet burp with - you guessed it - spit up.
Baby cleaned up and the dirtied rag tossed to the side, you flip him over so now it's three sets of eyes on the mirror. You give Reigen a reflective smile, a precursor to the sweet words you have in store for him, "You know I love this little guy... And you know how I feel about what the pregnancy did to my body." Your baby giggles, arms out stretched for his dad's reflection in the mirror. "But you still think I look good, right?"
"O-Of course!" Reigen balks at the mere suggestion he wouldn't find you attractive. Hell, you know how crazy the sight of you makes him.
"And I feel the same. No matter what. If you didn't have to go to work and Shigeo wasn't awake, I'd have you on the bed right now." That makes him chuckle. You're on the right track. "It's still you. And you always look damn good."
You trade with Reigen, your baby nestled comfortably against his father's chest while you come to wrap your arms around his waist, still beaming at him in mirror. "We both look different but we both still go crazy for each other. We're going to have those kind of days... It's human nature. So when you do feel a little low about yourself... Let me pick you up, okay? Because you're just as handsome, just as hot as the day I met you." You kiss his arm then reach up for his lips.
The kiss is tender, sweet, loving... It's everything he needed. You and your son are all he's ever needed. He feels full, complete even.
"Love you." He murmurs to your mouth, which you take happily as you steal another kiss.
"I love you too."

Reigen wasn't particularly fond of summertime, but that didn't mean he disliked it. He was indifferent. The weather was nice at times, therefore he'd use said time to do "summer-y" things. This weekend, he decided to treat the entirety of Spirits & Such Consultations (plus some) to a trip to the beach.
He figured Mob could use the time to be a kid and he could use the time to spend with you. Since you started working for him, he's had feelings for you. At first, he wasn't entirely sure what those feelings were. Did he admire your work ethic or was it something more? Well, overtime, he came to realize it was something more — how convenient.
It wasn't ideal for Reigen to have a crush on you, considering he was your boss and all. There was also the fear that you weren't interested, for any reason not including the fact that you're his subordinate. As a result, Reigen decided to keep his mouth shut about it all. However, there were a select few that could see through his poor excuse at a confident facade.
"Just tell her you like her already and quit stalling. You're being a creep just staring at her."
Dimple's words fall on deaf ears, as Reigen's full attention is on you. You remove your cover-up, leaving you in nothing but your swimsuit as you lay down your towel in the sand. Reigen wasn't staring perversely, he was admiring you. He truly didn't mean to, either, you just happened to catch his attention when you walked past.
"I think Reigen should wait until he's ready," Serizawa suggests, eliciting a scoff from the spirit.
"I can handle myself just fine, thank you," Reigen finally speaks, dismissively waving his hands in the direction of the other two.
His mind was racing — a million thoughts running through his head about what he should do, when he should do it, and how he should do it. Reigen was conflicted. Did he really want to ruin his mini vacation by throwing himself into the lions den to accept defeat?
You don't give the man too much time to think, soon walking in his direction with a smile.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" you ask, "It's nothing bad, don't worry."
Dimple and Serizawa depart, leaving you alone with a very jittery Reigen. In his mind, he thought he was being subtle, but you could tell he was a little nervous. For what, you weren't sure, but you overlook it.
"I just wanted to thank you for taking all of us out here today," you start, "I know the kids appreciate it, and I wanted to say that I appreciate you for always looking out for not only them, but all of us."
Reigen's cheeks glow red but he stands tall, keeping up that confident facade.
"Y-you're welcome. My employees deserve nothing but the best, after all."
“Mm, there was one more thing…” you state, feeling your face heat up as a wave of nervousness washes over you.
Reigen gives you a quizzical stare, patiently awaiting your words.
“I um… I know it’s unprofessional and I’m really sorry if this is weird for you to hear, but, I really like you Reigen… Like, more than I should.”
You swear you feel faint from how fast the blood rushes to your cheeks, and Reigen feels all the same. His eyes widen a bit and he quickly turns his head from you, covering his face. Concerned, you touch his arm, asking if he’s alright.
“Mhm, fantastic! Just uh, seems like I’m a little overwhelmed,” he laughs, and you happen to catch a glimpse of what he was hiding.
His nose had started to bleed — perhaps this was too much for him. Quickly, you apologize, running to grab his towel off the beach chair to clean him up.
“Now probably isn’t the best time, but, I like you too y/n,” he says, holding the towel to his bloody nose.
I laugh, mostly because you aren’t sure what the appropriate response is — all things considered.
“I’m glad to hear that… Though, we should probably call someone for help. I don’t think that towel is doing much for you.”
Reigen nods, waving a now very concerned Serizawa over to tell him to watch over the kids while the two of you seek aid.

cw: Mob Psycho 100 Season 3 Episode 4 spoilers!!
"You're back!"
Amongst all the strange things you've seen around Seasoning City the moment of your arrival, it was pleasant to finally see the familiar face of your husband, beaming at you in his usual gray pajamas, a cup of noodles in hand as he beams at the sight of you.
You smile tiredly at him, your bag slipping from your shoulders which prompts your husband to stand up from his slouched form on the office chair in front of his desktop, cup noodles in his hand being placed in the nearest elevated surface, catching your bags before they fall entirely on the floor.
"This is great! You've come at a great time," Reigen excitedly speaks to you, moving to set your bags aside, you can't help but look at him fondly. It wasn't often you see your husband prance around the place like a 5-year-old that was given candy, so it's always a treat to see him act so excited about something.
Before you could even ask, your husband turns to you and spoke once again.
"Get some rest, then let's go visit the divine tree!"
The fond look on your face immediately dropped.
The moment you set foot in the Seasoning City once again, you were immediately greeted by the followers of this Divine Tree. People wearing green shirts, and wide grins on their faces that made you uncomfortable as they approach you from all sides; some offer you flyers, some offer you refreshments such as bottled tea and biscuits, and some offer candies.
After being married to the Arataka Reigen himself, you already learned to know a scam when you see one, and this..... Psycho Helmet religion they're persistently asking you to join absolutely reeks. A wide-range scam? perhaps, even a cult?
Everywhere you looked, you saw a shade of green.
Everywhere you looked, there was someone grinning at you.
Everywhere you go, there was someone speaking to you.
Everywhere you go, you heard about the 'divine tree'.
It made you really uncomfortable.
And to hear it from your own husband's mouth......
"'Taka," you call, trying to hide a multitude of emotions behind your voice, yet, it still trembles. "What divine tree? That's just broccoli, isn't it?"
You remember him telling you about that broccoli, born from his student, Shigeo's powers. Now that you think about it, wasn't your husband supposed to be at work at the moment with Shigeo? Maybe even with Serizawa?
"It may have started that way, but it's more than that now," he turns to look at you, "It gives people hope, happiness even. It's a bit blasphemous and insensitive to refer to it as just a 'broccoli' now, don't you think?"
Not a single physical feature of his was different. His blonde bangs that are as yellow as the rays of the sun that brings comfort into your everyday life rest on his forehead, his coffee-brown eyes that gives you warmth every time it meets yours, the sides of his lips turned upward into a soft smile as he gazes at you with usual fondness and affection that you're so used to seeing.
You should be feeling your heart fluttering under his gaze, in his words.
But instead, they send shivers down your spine.
And he must have seen through you—your husband always does—and he scrunches his brows in worry at your suddenly tense form. In an attempt to comfort you, he takes another step forward, another step closer to you before reaching his hand out to pull you into an embrace.
However, before his skin could come in contact with yours, your dominant hand was swift to grab his wrist, stopping him from his movements. The sleeve of his gray sweatshirt acts as a barrier, not allowing your palms to touch his bare skin.
"Who are you?"
You practically hissed at him, glaring through his brown orbs, trying to pull him apart in your mind to find out who this man in front of you really is. You can feel your own body trembling, in anger or in fear, you didn't know.
"Love, it's me-"
"Don't give me that,"
The one thing you know for sure is that this man is not your husband.
He's not Arataka Reigen.
The man who poses himself as Arataka looks at you, a mixture of stunned and confused, pulling his eyebrows together again. He raises his other hand in hopes of touching you but you immediately slapped it away with your free hand.
He spoke your name softly, opening his mouth to speak further before you immediately cut him off with another demand to tell him who he was.
You can't let him speak. You can't allow him to talk to you.
Because if this man was anything like your Reigen, then he'd surely be able to convince you, to entice you to see things the same way he does—to join that godforsaken cult.
That's when you immediately realized; you can't stay here.
Staying here means spending more time with that man, staying here means you're giving him more opportunities to speak with you, to charm you. Staying here means you'll never be able to find out what happened to your husband.
Suddenly, your hand let go of his wrist as if you had been touching something hot for a prolonged period of time, you take a step back as you pretend to wince, worrying the man even more, your name escapes his lips once again as he asks if you were okay.
"Yes," you lied, bringing your fingers to your temples as you rub them, "I'm so sorry, 'Taka. I don't know what came over me. It's been such a strange day and I-"
"It's alright. Why don't we seat down and-" He reaches out to you, but you take another step back, away from him and his touch.
"Actually, can you brew me some tea? I just... I feel extremely tired."
"Of course, but first let me-"
"Tea. Arataka. Please."
Reigen suddenly stops speaking, eyes not leaving your form as he studies you. You weren't trying to run from him, were you? No. What is he even thinking? Why would you?
You trust him.
He trusts you.
You must be extremely tired from your trip which makes you extremely irritable.
Besides, how can he make you see how great Lord Psycho Helmet is if he continues to irritate you further?
"Alright," he finally relents, sighing "Lay down while I make your tea, I'll get you meds for your headache too,"
He turns his back to you, making his way to the kitchen in this small, shared flat. You only watch as he walks further in, silently cursing just how much this man resembles the love of your life.
"Oh, would you like to try this tea I got-" he turns to look behind him, and just like he had expected, you were already nowhere to be found which prompts him to let out an exasperated sigh.
"You really are stubborn,"
The door silently shuts behind you as you speedwalk away from your home, a determined look on your face as you see all the people in the street turn their heads in sync to look at your approaching form, that eerie grin still painting their faces as they make their move to approach you.
Your goal is clear in your mind as you evade the crowd that seems persistent to stop you in your tracks.
You need to find Mob. You need to find Serizawa.
You need to get your husband back.

STAY A LITTLE LONGER (FOR NO SAKE BESIDES MY OWN)
Tumblr media
pairing: reigen arataka x gn reader
synopsis: when spirits are low in the office (pun intended), serizawa calls on you, an old friend, to play makeshift pr agent to get business back up. unfortunately, a certain not technically boss of yours isn’t ready for you to leave, and metaphorically blocks the exit for as long as he can manage.
category: fluff, crack, #stomp on dimple 2023, serizawa has friends as a kid au idk plot convenience
a/n: my first non genshin writing on this blog. sorry i literally do not post consistently lol. i just had this idea and felt like writing something for it.
Tumblr media
Reigen Arataka was a man of many words. Not dignified, not solemn nor sincere, but many words nevertheless. Any professionalism he managed to maintain was nothing short of an act. So, it was no surprise to Serizawa when Reigen had slipped up a few too many times in his attitude and services, and for the first time in a short while, the reputation of Spirits and Such began to fall. Enter you.
In a pit of despair, where all hope for a split second was lost, a shining beacon came through (as Reigen described it, “just like in minecraft) in the form of Serizawa’s childhood friend who he’d recently picked up contact with again. Sure, you’d just been laid off from a job with no relevance at all, but he knew you were head of your debate team as a student, and so he suggested the company pay you to be a makeshift PR agent until things were more smooth sailing again.
Well, you didn’t have any better options, did you?
If you weren’t previously aware of Serizawa’s psychic powers, you would’ve totally called bullshit on your first entry. Long story short, the place looked sketchy as shit. Hell, even their website looked like a museum displaying computer viruses since the beginning of time. It was lively though, that you could appreciate. You worked in a small circle, but everyone was welcoming. You’d taken a fair liking to the boss, Reigen; though Serizawa had warned you of his antics, you could only find him amusing for it. You couldn’t help but click with him. Aside from him, a less than pathetic looking spirit called Dimple lingered around, as well as a middle school kid they’d dubbed as Mob passing through on occasion to lend a hand.
Your makeshift corner of the office grew to feel like a second home. Reigen had helped you decorate it in your first couple of days, which Dimple claimed was completely unlike him to go so out of his way, but you didn’t think much of it.
Unbeknownst to you, Dimple was onto something. To him, the situation was glaringly obvious, and you just couldn’t get the memo through that thick mortal skull of yours. Did you not see the way Reigen’s eyes practically had the life injected into them when you entered the room? Were you blind or plain stupid?
You seem to find yourself alone in the office with Reigen more often than you had anticipated. Fleeting gazes and touches are exchanged, though not addressed at any point during your ever flowing conversation. Reigen found himself totally enamoured with you and your personality. You seemed to be somewhat alike in charisma, as he picked up on your natural capabilities in socialising over time. You did your job and you did it well. That’s the reason Reigen told himself he wanted to keep you around so badly. Yet, the thought kept circling. The realisation of how badly he’d miss you once you left.
All comes to a halt one evening, a few shifts before you were due to leave. You’d been with S&S for around a month and things seemed to be getting back on track, thus giving you not much visible reason to be here. After you pack your things and leave, smiling warmly as you shut the door behind you, Reigen’s eyes don’t leave the door. He zones out completely. Everyone had gone home for the night, leaving him alone. Or so he thought, as Dimple moves to loom over his shoulder once more.
“Do you ever leave me alone?” He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose between his fingers. He’s visibly agitated. So stressed that if you approached him he might pop, like stabbing a needle into a balloon. Truthfully, he knows exactly what this is about before Dimple can even speak at all.
“Are you gonna ask them or not?” Dimple questions him bluntly, not bothering to tread lightly around the topic.
Reigen decides to play dumb, “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” His face is screwed up and his posture is unnaturally stiff in that chair. He might as well have not even bothered to lie at all.
“Everytime [Name] leaves through that door, you look more and more dejected. You gonna miss all of their glitz and glamour, Reigen? Is that it? Gonna miss how they greet you every morning, with that smile that just makes your stomach do flips?”
Reigen practically growls his response through gritted teeth, refusing to look in his direction. “Let’s not.” He warns. “[Name] and I have a strictly professional relationship, and I’d much prefer to keep it that way.”
“You’re pathetic, you know that?”
“I am nothing of the sort.”
“Well-“ Dimple begins, forcing his way infront of Reigen’s line of vision, to which he simply turns his head once more in response. “What else- or who else- do you have going for you? You’re gonna let this chance slip by?”
“…I should fire you.”
“Am I officially employed? I don’t believe I ever signed a contract. And you expect to get rid of me how exactly?”
“Whatever, I’ll have to think about it. I’ll get back to you.”
“Good luck confessing by the end of the week. I’m not counting on you.”
Reigen can easily tell that Dimple’s method here was reverse psychology. It didn’t take a genius to catch on to the fact he was trying to get inside his head. Still, it worked. He just happened to be aware of it.
He spends the next two days preparing. He runs through plans with Serizawa and runs through errands with Mob. Flowers, your favourite sweets, nothing out of the ordinary. Aside from the fact that he assigns Mob the task of quite literally stealing from his school art department instead of just buying what he needed, simply because the thought didn’t cross his mind, as obvious as it may have seemed. All he needs is a large sheet of card and some colourful pens. And a quiet office. He’d have to wait for you to leave on the Wednesday evening to prepare everything.
He questions his own sanity throughout this process. What if he got rejected? Is this all going to be for nothing?
Dimple keeps a close eye on things, but refuses to interfere. He still doesn’t believe Reigen has the balls to follow through. He has killed social skills with strangers, but on the contrary, he himself was the stranger when it came down to love.
Reigen certainly lacks the confidence when Thursday rolls around. He can’t swallow the lump in his throat, and his fears manifest themselves in the pit of his stomach, making him feel very much ill. He yet again second guesses himself and the whole proposal. Stepping back from the setup, he concludes he shares more traits with a high schooler asking their crush to prom than an actual grown adult.
As expected, you’re the first one in, and yet Reigen practically jumps out of his skin, fumbling for the sign and gifts as you widen your eyes, totally confused. He holds up the sign with the best, least awkward smile he can manage- which is very awkward still- and you reciprocate his expression. Your eyes scan over the writing, surrounded by hearts and stars.
“Stay a little longer
(For no sake besides my own)”
You can’t help but burst out into laughter. Not maliciously- you’re very flustered by the whole ordeal, actually- but rather out of surprise.
“You like me? Romantically? You like me?”
“…Yes. Sorry- this was totally unprofessional. Wrong way to go about it, especially seeing as you barely even know me and yet here I am. Genuinely, no hard feelings, I promise-“ He begins regretfully before you cut him off.
“No, I definitely like you back. Pretty good way to go about it.” You grin, stepping closer. “My favourite sweets, too. You know me better than you think.”
“Oh- seriously?”
“Like so seriously. If you’re interested in keeping me on the team, maybe you can discuss that with me on our first date.” You wink, and although out of your sight, Dimple curses himself for being wrong. Reigen had actually gone and done it. Turns out he was slightly less pathetic than the spirit had once presumed.

Under The Mistletoe
Pairing: Serizawa Katsuya x GN!reader
Rating: Teen (16+)
Summary: Spirits & Such is decorating for the holiday season! You and Serizawa still have a newly-blooming relationship and you try to be smooth with mistletoe.
Word Count: 2.6K+
Contains: Fluff, awkward early relationship tension, the S&S family, rushed writing, I did Not Check this I'm sorry :'))
A/N: I really wanted to write something sweet and short with Serizawa so it's a little silly. Especially toward the end. Hope you still enjoy!
Tumblr media
It was a short walk from the train station to Spirits & Such. Mornings during the weekends weren’t usually too busy in Seasoning City. You and Serizawa commuted to work together that morning like you would any other day. It was how you grew so close and eventually formed the early phases of your relationship in the first place.
When it was your stop, you and Serizawa left with clasped hands. One of your latest intimate gestures… You quickly learned that Serizawa was a very affectionate person. It would take a bit of patience and reassurance at first, but he loved being physically close to you. Even if the hand-holding still made you blush like kids.
It always flustered you knowing Serizawa’s hands are fuzzy and much larger than yours in size. His soft palms feel therapeutically warm against your frigid fingers. He silently rubbed his thumb in small circles on the back of your hand in hopes of transferring some warmth to you. It was a small wordless gesture that you appreciated.
“Did you get home safely last night?” Serizawa asked, matching your pace despite his long legs on the wintery sidewalks. Recently, he started initiating the conversations first. He was quick at adjusting to your relationship. It was endearing.
“Ah, yeah! Thank you but you didn’t have to stay with me on the train… I’m sure you’re tired from classes,” you said remorsefully, noting the dark blotches under his eyes. Serizawa only offered a small smile and shook his head.
“It’s okay… I wanted to spend more time with you,” he admitted softly and squeezed your hand. Whether or not he meant to say those words so casually, your warm cheeks tingled and your heart fluttered in your chest. You lowered your head to hide your wobbly smile.
Christmas was still weeks away. But once the clock struck the first of December, Reigen was enthusiastically raiding the office early the next day wrapped in green tinsel with dusty brown boxes in his arms, red and gold glimmers shining through its worn lid. Evil and seasonal spirits are a must at Spirits & Such.
He wanted to have the office fully-decorated and bedazzled over the weekend to really wow the clients on Monday. Friday night, he rang up the S&S company for decoration committee help. Not because he couldn’t handle it himself but… Well, the holidays are no fun without the family.
You reached the office building and went inside, sighing at the warmer interior that welcomed you. The two of you exchanged simple small talk, talking about school, the snow lately, weekend plans. But as you got closer to the second floor, you could hear the recognizably clear drawl of your boss shouting through the walls.
“Mob! Bring it a little to the left!”
You and Serizawa stopped by the doorway, suddenly dropping whatever conversation you were having at the sight of a pink floating Christmas tree bumping the back corner of the office, scraping the entire wall. Their youngest employee with the bowl cut, Mob, stood near the entrance of the room in his blue turtleneck, using two hands as he relocated the bare tree with his powers. His eyes flicked between the tree and his mentor with concern.
“Shishou… I think this tree is too big.” A growing wooden crackle and snap attested to his hunch. The broken top of the giant tree hung sadly, quivering as the kid esper attempted to fit it into the gray corner.
“Ah, that’s just because my powers were so crazy strong the whole thing over grew when I touched it!! If someone else were bringing it up here, it would have stayed small!” Reigen barked dramatically, crossing his arms. Rubbing the bottom half of his face, he scanned the dangling snapped half of the winter tree wearily, trying to find a solution.
“Can you cut it in half with your powers?”
Mob threw his master a pointed look with hooded eyes and a flat frown that suggested: No, Reigen. He could not, in fact, cut the tree in half with his ESP.
Serizawa announced both your presences by clearing his throat next to you. Your coworkers all turned their heads and greeted you.
“Good morning, Serizawa-san, L/n-san,” Mob smiled over his shoulder, his attitude immediately changing when he saw you. Reigen switched right into boss mode, even without his coat on. He fixed his tie to his neck and waved the two of you over.
“Oh, perfect! Glad you’re here! We’ve just started decorating!”
“... Is that so?” You remarked, both you and Serizawa’s eyes lingering on Shigeo who was still trying to use his powers to cram whatever was left of the withering tree under their tiny roof. Your resident evil spirit, Dimple, flew into view, rolling his eyes.
“He’s trying so hard to make this work because he got this tree for free off the side of the road.” The blonde swatted the spirit away with an obnoxious fake cough.
“Hey! They were gonna dump the thing anyway! What a waste — I mean, look at the size of that thing!” Reigen whispered in a hushed tone.
“Did you look at the size of that thing before bringing it inside?” The green ghost retorted. Right on cue, a loud scraping noise tore through the room. Everyone turned to the tree, the jagged wood of the broken trunk top pierced through the ceiling to the upper floor. Various white dust particles and tile pieces fluttered from above their heads, ceiling lights flickering faintly. But most importantly, the tree stayed.
The middle schooler covered his mouth as he coughed, turning to the adults before giving a proud thumbs up. Reigen coughed quietly into his elbow, his eyebrows raised as he blinked in surprise, “...Well, I guess that works, too.”
Reigen divided the room in half. Mob and Dimple were on tree-decorating duty, Reigen would focus on his desk-area, and you and Serizawa would fancy up the rest of the office. Your boss would often jump sides bickering, getting distracted by the little things he found in his old Christmas decorations.
“Oh, these are nice!” he cheered, holding two jingling reindeer antler head pieces in his hands. “Mob!” He dashed over and subjected the boy to his accessorizing. But not before joining in with his own matching set of antlers.
“Haha! We look great! Ooh, I should get a picture. Hey- Stop that, you’re gonna get motion sick.” You laughed, watching Mob shake his head quickly to jingle the colorful bells on his headpiece.
You worked on untangling a roll of red tinsel for the walls, raising a quisitive brow at your boss. “What, you think this’ll bring in more business?” you joked. Reigen pointed at you and snapped excitedly.
“Yes, exactly! C’mon, who doesn’t love the holiday spirit? Here — hold these,” he explained as he handed two plastic candy cane props to Mob, sparing another two for himself. Where did he even get those?
“Well… not everyone celebrates Christmas, you know.”
“Pssh, I mean — Okay, sure, fine but- Look!” The blonde pawed at his deshi’s faux antlers, ringing the jingle bells and pointed at them.
“Jingle bells! They’re fun!”
“What are you, a cat?” Dimple commented while the man posed Mob for the photo like an action figure. You heard Serizawa’s warm bubbly laugh behind you as he passed by, carrying a box of little paper decorations for the entrance. You made eye contact, beaming at each other. Your eyes fell lower to the soft green collared sweater he was wearing.
“You look cute like that, Seri.” The words just slipped out. Your boyfriend made a tiny yelp and froze completely, staring at you wide-eyed. His entire face got hotter.
“S-Sorry?” You pursed your lips and tried not to make it obvious how hard you were staring at him.
“The sweater. I think you look nice in it,” you said quietly, holding back on your praise. Serizawa stood there opening and closing his mouth a little before he cleared his throat and awkwardly pulled his collar from his neck.
“O-Oh! Ahem! I-I see…! Yes, it’s new. My mom got it for me,” he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck as he explained. “...Thank you. I like it too.” You bit your lip. God, he was so cute without even trying.
You covered your mouth and turned your head, doing any random gesture to shake the embarrassed tingles out of your cheeks. “Are… you starting on the doorway now?” You hinted. Serizawa’s brows jumped and he looked between the doorframe and you.
“Um, y-yes! Yes, I am. I… Would you like to help?” You smiled and nodded, getting up to join his side. The two of you dug through Reigen’s old cardboard boxes, finding paper snowflakes, icicle cut-outs, reindeer, and candy cane decorations to stick on the walls.
Serizawa’s height was put to good use between the two of you. You handed him the tinsels and strings, leaving it to him to pin to the corners of the ceiling or wrap around the doorframe. All the while you stood beside him and appreciated the view.
“L/n?” You blinked back into the present.
“Yes?”
“Are there any white Christmas lights in those boxes? It might look nice for the door, don’t you think?” Serizawa wondered, leaning back and taking in the look of the entryway so far. You had to give it to him, he had quite an eye for these kinds of details.
“Let me see…” you checked each box, rustling loose leaves around, broken christmas lights, crumpled decorations… And then your eyes fell on something familiar.
“Oh!” Serizawa turned to see what you were exclaiming about. He startled at first, not expecting you to be standing right next to him. You pointed above your head. Puzzled, he followed with his eyes and they widened at the green and white bundle in your hands. He looked back at the plotting look in your eyes.
“Ahh, what are the chances? Looks like we have to kiss now. It’s tradition, you know?” The taller man blinked a few times before breaking into a blush, scratching the side of his face shyly.
“Isn’t it supposed to be when we’re standing under it?” You stiffened and scrunched your face quickly, searching for an excuse.
“Mmm, well yes! But you see, I’m having a little trouble getting this over your head. You’re too tall for your own good.” Serizawa only stood over you, tilting his head blankly like a puppy as he looked down at you.
You squirmed uncomfortably in this position, especially since it seemed like he was expecting you to make the first move. Maybe it wasn’t the right moment. Dumb joke.
You waved the mistletoe in your hand as you spoke, “Bahahaaah, kidding! Just- Just joking! I mean- Mistletoe under the entryway would… probably be a bad idea. Anyway. Um. Ahem! Sorry, let me find those lights.”
You moved to turn away from your boyfriend out of utter humiliation but felt the ground disappear from under your feet. Your eyes widened and you noticed the thin layer of deep purple energy coating your arms and legs. The ceiling felt a little closer than before.
“U-Um, Serizawa??” You chuckled nervously, hovering idly over him. He cupped his big warm hands around your face, pulling you a little closer to him.
“What, um…?” You swallowed shakily, your eyes unable to choose one place on his face to focus on… He was so close. You could see every wonderful detail in clarity. Had you never noticed the faint mole above his eyebrow? Or how long his lashes were? And the way his hair was starting to curl in again now that it was a little longer?
“…Does this help?” He asked you. You blinked. Your boyfriend smiled and pointed at the plant in your hand. You gasped and fumbled on your words excitedly, nearly dropping the mistletoe out of surprise.
“Oh! Oh, uh- y-yeah, sure! Um, yes, it’s… definitely higher now,” you stammered, shaking the plant in your hand. You looked back at him, finding a rosy smile on his face. Oh. No, wait that’s really cute. Your confidence came back.
“N-No choice! You have to kiss me now.” That familiar, deep, warm laugh of his met your ears again. He wrinkled his eyes, gaze lowering to your unkissed lips. He placed a warm thumb against the bottom one, parting it carefully.
“I guess I do,” Serizawa whispered closely. He leaned in gently and fit his plush lips between yours. His soft hands traveled to your shoulders, easing you back to earth. The weight slowly returned to your body and you sighed into the kiss you so wanted. His fingers danced behind your neck, other hand pressing you close against him. You tilted your head in an angle that allowed you to deepen the kiss more easily. Serizawa smiled against your lips, pulling you closer as he breathed in deeply. You ran your fingers through his curls and he caressed your cheek, kissing you one last time.
He pulled away first to your disappointment, resting his forehead against yours and looking down at you, catching his breath.
“This is new,” he hummed, pushing your hair from your eyes with two fingers. The soft pads brushing across your skin, making you shiver. “It’s cute when you’re the one embarrassed.” You gasped in surprise, your cheeks darkening upon seeing the teasing glint that appeared in his brown eyes.
This was new, indeed.
“Did I… do that right?” He asked, a hint of fear in the way his voice cracked. You couldn’t help but sigh, and stroke the curve of his cheek.
“You were just perfect, Seri,” Your boyfriend smiled but still looked worries. You leaned back and pretended to ponder.
“But you know… I think that traditionally, you actually need to kiss the other person twice under the mistletoe,” you said flatly, giving him a serious look. Serizawa snorted at this, losing composure and laughing into your shoulder. Your poker face threatened to crack as you wrapped your arms tighter around him. You smiled, watching any lingering traces of doubt slip away.
“AAAHHHHH! Serizawa-san!!” You quickly broke apart from each other and snapped your heads around, looking for the trouble. It didn’t take too long to notice. The two of you froze, eyes wide and jaws dropped. The office walls around you cracked and groaned as the Christmas tree slowly expanded outward, all of its leaves basked in a deep, glittery, purple haze.
“N-Not good!” Serizawa cried, running towards the tree, attempting to push everything back into place. Handfuls of mistletoe erupted from the cracks in the wall and base of the tree, crawling across the expanse of the walls and floor. Mob frantically concentrated his powers on the tree, willing it to stop growing. But if anything, the addition of ESP only quickened the rate of the tree. His hand trembled violently as he lowered it, swallowing harshly. A single bead of sweat dripped down his face.
“I...I can’t stop it…!” Reigen whipped his head to the boy then back at the massive tree with disbelief.
“YOU’VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!” The ornaments fell off their hooks and exploded, more ceiling tiles crumbling down to the floor. The sprinkler system triggered and soaked the office, pipes and internal structures bursting at the seams.
You could do nothing but stand back and watch, powerless, mistletoe in hand, knowing you were the reasons for the third renovation of Spirits & Such.
