I generated these images in Midjourney tonight in preparation for my first fanbinding. I'm going to bind my latest reason for depression, All The Young Dudes by MsKingBean89. I'm waiting to get the supplies for my birthday in a few weeks but in the meantime I'm researching and preparing my typesets. These images are going on the cover of each volume. I only needed to edit the image for Volume II in Procreate because Remus' hair was too dark and he was missing scars. Super excited! Wish me luck! Accepting all bookbinding advice!

Minerva McGonagall becomes an animagus in her seventh year, with the help of Dumbledore. Since she is registered I'd like to think that the ministry helped a little bit, y'know like giving them the mandrake leaves.

James, Sirius, and Peter became one by their fifth year. Yes, by, it's possible they were before that. You honestly think they would go in not knowing what they were doing? No, they got PHDs in werewolves, werewolves with human and animals and Animagi before ok so go die. By them selves. They did it in 3 years. They were 12/13 when they started. And were done by 15/16. And you could argue that we don't know when Minnie starts but regardless she was older and more acknowledged. And had Dumbdoor. And these guys did it under everyone's nose; probs without Lupin finding out, and no one ever suspected anything. Except for Snape but who even is that guy? (Yes I hate Snape fight me) and they do it with the ministry not knowing but like the ministry is useless. And they do this w/o failing and stuff. James is on the Quidditch team. Like c'mon they had a mandrake leaf in their mouth for a month (Probs more bc they kept chewing on it) and got all the ingredients no probs. And Dumb-Door didn't see the signs. And Minnie didn't see the signs.

(HC: 100% they got at least half the ingredients from the Centuars who James knitted sweaters for in the winter so they liked the grp)

but like idea of scenes like a family gathering or like the Black sisters at hogwarts w/ Andromenda and Ted

and like giving Narcissa and Lucius the chance to like be in love vs arranged marriage

and like family gatherings as well but everyone’s like going behind the head of houses back for one thing or another

ugh Sirius being disowned and forbidden romance with Remus

like film it like dynasty and/or bridgerton and just that old money family with secrets type vibe is so interesting w/ a muted earth toned color pallet lots of dark light similar to the 6th movie

not to hate post or talk abt h@rry p*tter but can i just say that rema/dora is one of the few ships that genuinely pisses me off.

not only is it an obvious attempt by rowling to stop people from shipping remus and sirius, it also sticks two queercoded characters into a heteronormative, child rearing relationship. in fact, as soon as tonks (read: rowling) decides that she is in love with him, suddenly she becomes traditionally feminine after having somewhat been on the genderfluid spectrum in the last book.

not to mention that remus' lycanthropy is apparently meant to be allegory for aids, which is usually associated with the gay community.

he and sirius also have a close, intense relationship that the directors of the movies assumed to be romantic in nature (david thewlis was actually told to act "like a gay junkie")

of course, all of this is a big ass problem, but another problem that most people don't talk about the huge fucking age gap between them.

remus is thirteen years older than tonks. in hogwarts mystery, you meet remus as a whole adult in chiara lobosca's quest, and tonks is a main student. as in, she's a fucking student when remus has been an adult for years.

also, this is just speculation, but sirius was close to andromeda and ted, so what if remus and the murauders had actually meant baby tonks? suddenly, not so wholesome.

another problem is how ooc the ship makes both characters. a lot of people tend to say that if you have to twist both the characters to make a ship work, then it shouldnt be shipped. so how does this make them ooc?

tonks was a fun loving, spunky, and bright character in ootp. suddenly in hbp shes sullen and depressed because she loves remus but he wont get with her. yeah, people have multiple sides to them, but why is her biggest character trait suddenly being upset over a man?

meanwhile, remus in dh is just atrocious. the scene where he tries to abandon tonks and teddy is absolutely crazy and wild to me, because? he wouldnt do that.

lets not even mention how remus is pressured into the relationship after dumbledore dies. he seems completely uncomfortable and uninterested but molly tells him to not miss on this chance.

remus literally never seems like he loves tonks either, and tonks' "love" is completely forced by the author.

anyways, sorry about the rant, but i've seen some things and am pissed off.

Reading Charmed Curses right now, I am in chapter 9:

And oh its good.

Anyway, in this (chapter 9) chapter, and chapter 8 (I think), Sirus, Remus, and James all take turns being stubborn idiots that don't need help, while all of them are hurt, troubled or ill to some amount, and seem quite worried for the other two.

The dynamic between them matches almost perfectly with my HC dynamic for them and I just, couldn't help but laugh because- in my mind- this is so them...

Do keep in mind that they are troubled, ill or injured in these chapters to some extent, but they are still like...
