Getting over stage fright
Stage fright is an intense fear of performing in front of an audience, and it can be incredibly debilitating. Whether you’re a musician, actor, or public speaker, stage fright can prevent you from being the best version of yourself. Thankfully, with a few simple tips, you can get over your stage fright and perform with confidence.
Prepare Thoroughly – The best way to tackle stage fright is to be prepared. Research the topic you’re presenting on, practice your lines or songs, and get familiar with the venue. If you know your material inside and out, you’ll be more confident in your performance.
Visualize Success – Visualization is a powerful tool for overcoming stage fright. Before you go on stage, take a few moments to visualize a successful performance. Imagine yourself being confident and in control, and how great you’ll feel after your performance.
Take Deep Breaths – Taking deep breaths is a great way to relax your body and ease your nerves. When you start to feel nervous, take a few slow, deep breaths and focus on your breath. This will help to calm your racing thoughts and help you feel more grounded.
Talk to Someone – If you’re feeling really anxious, talking to someone can be a great way to get over your stage fright. Find a friend or family member who you trust and talk to them about your worries. They may be able to give you some helpful advice or simply reassure you that you’ll do great.
Accept Your Nerves – Accepting your nerves can be difficult, but it’s important if you want to get over your stage fright. Remind yourself that it’s okay to be nervous and that everyone else in the audience is feeling the same way. This will help to put things in perspective and make it easier to focus on your performance.
Getting over stage fright can be a difficult process, but with the right tips and strategies, it can be done. Focus on preparing thoroughly, visualizing success, taking deep breaths, talking to someone, and accepting your nerves. With a bit of practice and patience, you’ll be able to get over your stage fright and have the confidence to perform your best.

I think Cody has a pretty good voice, but maybe he shouldn't have tried rap. Maybe literally anything else.
Yeah I’m not really into rap but it seems like that is his thing so that’s the music he made. I didn’t mind Blessed but again, it’s not my preferred genre so I wasn’t all that into it. Still supported him when his music came out though. I wonder if he can actually sing or not. He might be really good and be more successful with a singing career 🤷🏻♀️

Overwhelming Update
Okay like so much stuff is going on right now it is HELLA overwhelming.
Assessments: Today is the 10th, I have 4 assessments for university due between the 15th and 22nd.
Family: My sister is coming back home from living out of state for years, which is super exciting. It will be a big change and a new routine but it will be great to have a closer connection to her and her child.
Career: I have a new tutoring gig starting soon, it is slightly out of my comfort zone being primary school based not secondary, but I can only try my best and be honest to myself and the client if I feel I can't help.
Friends: I have a girly night coming up soon, get to spend time with one of my closest friends and watch a theatre performance.
Violin: I have gotten to the point of trying to use my left hand fingers to make notes. As a pianist this is wild to me, my fingernails are short but of course not short enough, I can hear I am out of tune but cannot fix it, my bowing is falling apart again because it's a new thing to concentrate on. I love learning the instrument, but the learning curve is wild.

Who Makes It In The Music Business
The music industry is a highly competitive and ever-evolving field. With millions of aspiring artists trying to make it big, the question arises: who makes it in the music business? Is it just luck, or are there certain qualities and characteristics that set successful musicians apart from the rest? In this article, we will explore the traits and hard work that go into making it in the music business.
Talent is undoubtedly a crucial factor in a musician's success. However, it is not the only thing that matters. Many talented artists fail to make it in the music industry due to a lack of other essential qualities. One such quality is perseverance. The music business is not for the faint-hearted. It takes years of dedication and hard work to establish oneself in the industry. Successful musicians do not give up easily, even in the face of rejection and setbacks. They keep pushing forward and constantly strive to improve their craft.
Another crucial factor in making it in the music business is having a unique identity or sound. In today's world, where there is an abundance of music, standing out from the crowd is essential. Successful musicians have their own distinct style and sound, making them easily recognizable and memorable. They are not afraid to take risks and experiment with different genres to create a unique blend that sets them apart from others.
Networking is also crucial in the music industry. It is not just about what you know, but who you know. Successful musicians are skilled at building and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, such as producers, agents, and other musicians. They attend networking events, collaborate with other artists, and are always on the lookout for new opportunities to expand their network.
Along with talent and networking, having a strong work ethic is vital in making it in the music business. The music industry is a 24/7 job, and successful musicians understand this. They are constantly working on their craft, whether it be writing new songs, practicing their instrument, or performing. They also have a business mindset and understand the importance of branding, marketing, and managing their finances. Not only that, but they know that they are not just artists, but also entrepreneurs, and they treat their music career as a business.
In addition to these qualities, successful musicians also possess a certain level of charisma and stage presence. They know how to engage and captivate their audience, leaving a lasting impression. They are not afraid to be vulnerable and share their personal stories and experiences through their music. This connection with their audience is what sets them apart and helps them build a loyal fan base.
Moreover, successful musicians are adaptable and open to change. The music industry is constantly evolving, and what may be popular today may not be tomorrow. They are not afraid to try new things and adapt to new trends, while still staying true to their unique sound and style.
Making it in the music business requires a combination of talent, perseverance, networking, hard work, charisma, and adaptability. It takes time, dedication, and a lot of trial and error. However, with the right mindset, work ethic, and a bit of luck, anyone can make it in the music industry. So, if you have a dream of becoming a successful musician, keep working hard, stay true to yourself, and never give up. Who knows, you could be the next big thing in the music business.
