it is so important to me that, no matter what path you take with connor, you cannot avoid him having humanity. him indulging in self-soothing, repetitive actions such as his coin tricks or rubbing his hands together, him lying to hank after seeing markus' speech and being visibly moved, him gently smiling upon seeing hank emerge from his room in the clothes he picked out for him — a sign of a want for a domestic life with him, perhaps? — hell he can even feel fear when he connects to simon, even though you may be going through with this in a machine playthrough.

in some ways, i find machine connor more deviant than deviant connor himself — because of the repression. as amanda says, it was planned from the beginning that he become deviant. it is extremely unlikely this is erased in the machine playthrough. him 'remaining' a machine is just repression of his true self.

...and not to make this post even more self-indulgent and insane, but fuuuck the autistic headcanon for him ties into this PERFECTLY. him 'remaining' a machine is masking — he is still a deviant (autistic), but hiding it to be accepted by amanda and cyberlife — while becoming a deviant means allowing himself to break free of what is expected of him (neurotypicalness) and unmasks, be loved for who he truly is.

i made another post about him being autistic here, so feel free to check that out for reasoning for the headcanon, but i cannot imagine a universe in which connor isn't autistic and doesm't have deviant tendencies. sure, he can be cruel, or a badass, or selfish, as a machine, but all of that still gives him humanity — to be able to feel, and hurt his fellow man. and his (partial or entire) lack of empathy is still a trait of autism, which can be paralelled with deviancy.

Stanford Pines relationship HCs

(ford pines x reader) there will be smut so, 18+ below... Some angst, mainly fluff, I HC that most if not all of the pines family are neurodivergent in some way.

A/N: I had a long journey last week and all I could think about was the stans, so this will become specific... ��� Will do the same for Stanley too in the future.

Ford has a lot to catch up on when he comes back through the portal, but he won't jump into a relationship immediately, it will still take a little time, he's got a lot to adjust to in his home dimension and being with someone has not been his forte.

But once he does he's surprisingly clingy, will want to cuddle up to you, in bed, on the couch, wherever you both are. Not one for real PDA, but will be close to you and call you terms of endearment out in public, just a little less than he does at home. I HC that he'd call his partner "dear" "darling" "honey", looooves your hips and putting his arm around your waist (it's a great way to pull you in to snuggle).

Doesn't hold your hand at first but since you like him to hold your hand and give him assurance over the fact that you like his six fingers, he does. It loosens his insecurities around his hands a lot.

Gets addicted to kissing you, doesn't care whether it leads to more or not, Stanford simply loves kissing whether it's brief or a good long make out session. But he does prefer to take his time over it.

Stanford is very logical, good at patching himself up from decades of portal hopping and therefore will do the same for you if you need it, is meticulous if you get hurt in any way but also has an appalling bedside manner! Doesn't tell you if he's going to do something that will sting and tells you not to be overdramatic if you react negatively to it (you know how people can get a little angry when someone they love gets potentially seriously hurt?). And yet you know him to be a gentle man, generally touches you softly like you're made of glass (unless it's to pull you away from something dangerous), so having him take care of you can also be comforting, he'll never do something painful unless it's necessary. (Don't worry though, his brother will make you stan cakes to cheer you both up.)

Speaking of food, Ford definitely prefers his home universe food to what he had in the other dimensions, tried lots of different unusual dishes, some he even liked, but none of it can compare to his homely comforts. When not sailing and adventuring, he puts on a few pounds. Satiates his sweet tooth and caffeine addiction with mabel juice (is the only other one of the pines to like it), prefers it to coffee. Stanley swears his tastebuds must've been affected during his time away. Doesn't like it with as much edible glitter as mabel does, but this is the only deviation from the original recipe he has.

Excellent teacher, you want to learn how he does something? More than eager to teach you with a steady hand and clear pace. Will teach you regardless how to shoot his laser and magnetic guns, how to defend yourself and how to meditate (if you didn't know these already). Can get into the information and ramble like you know about a topic and then realise (eventually) that he needs to break down or explain what he means.

Despite this he also has a romantic streak, whilst he can forget everything aside from his work or adventures, including important dates, he can also be a very considerate and supportive partner and post-portal wants to include you as much as possible in his life and conversations. You can talk for hours about any and all topics and he loves to be mentally stimulated in a relationship, however that may be.

Does sometimes have nightmares and deep guilt over Stanley and is dealing with it as best as he can, likes to know he can count on you for comfort and guidance, makes him feel less panicked or paranoid after Bill. He and his brother talk things out too and these talks can go on all night into the early morning and it's best for them to have space, Ford is grateful for your patience and willingness to be involved in his life, especially as he knows he wasn't good at opening up to you when you were starting to become friends let alone a relationship.

Ford would be shy at first, but once he gets comfortable with how to pleasure you, expect this man to be kind of obsessed. That absorbing focus he can have on his projects and studies? Yeah that can be transferred to you just as easily, which can be a little intense!

You off-handendly mention something about sexual experiences, perhaps even a joke about things you haven't tried, catching his perplexed look afterwards, you say it's simply fantasy and not really something you need to experience. However what you took for confusion or slight insecurity was actually Ford processing what you said. In fact, it doesn't leave his mind and so he does something he's good at: he does some research 😏

One night you might even wake up from sleep to find him sitting upright, lightly snoring, bedside lamp on, clearly fallen asleep whilst writing on his portable writing desk (it's either a gift from you or the twins, not sure which to choose!), when curiosity gets the better of you and you sneak a page out into your hands, you're faced with his attempts at organising fantasies, what he thinks you would want to try, how would you react to different stimuli or some of his own fantasies... Mainly figuring out how many orgasms he could coax out of you or how long he thinks he could edge you over time, what positions or rp you might like: he's worked it all out in a haphazard kind of way, like he's brainstorming the best approaches.

It's so plan-sexual scientific it's frank but... attractive, because it's so... him.

Whether he wakes up on his own or you wake him up, he ends up blushing, though he's not really sorry that you've found it. He's looking at you with this mix of nerves for how you'll react and new found smugness when he sees that you've been affected by what you've read... And yeah, neither of you are leaving that bed for a long time.

Basically, like a true scientist, he is down to experiment! 😄 He's willing to try anything as long as it's not going to seriously hurt you or it's something he wouldn't try on himself first, this is a boundary he's never willing to cross. Trust and open communication is an important thing for him post-weirdmaggeddon especially, and he's getting better at it as he goes along, so even though he often doesn't feel confident, he is infuriatingly good at aftercare and all the rest!

This means when he's not tripping over his words or flustered by you himself -he can be a damn tease at times and will chuckle to himself when you curse him out for the subtle touches he'll give you over the course of the day before pulling away. Sometimes he doesn't even know he's done it, which is evil.

Stanley will make grumbly jokes about how "you two lovebirds need to get a room!" Or about needing to move out 😅 but honestly he's truly happy his brother is happy and if you get married he will sob the whole time, even through his roasting joke filled best man speech! (Cracks a joke more than once to you that you need to make Ford an "honest man" and then laughs at it himself before whispering to you that he can get the rings if you really want to.)

Will and does suffer in the warmer months because he will wear long sleeves, full length pants and or a turtle neck for the comfort aesthetic

Personality wise him and Stan are different as can be but they often sync up physically in their mannerisms or what they say, as freaky as it is cute in a way, when you are tired/drunk you can swear you're seeing double, which amuses both of them.

His favourite shared past time with you is any kind of board or card game, some of them the rest of the family will join in for, but will also love someone to play d&d&md with if you're willing! Loves to get into the details of the rules of whatever you're playing together and it can get quite heated (secretly finds your frustrated side quite attractive, as long as you're not actually angry at him).

I feel like Stanford would get into videogames as soon as he becomes more adept at technology in this dimension, likely it's dipper who is the one to introduce it to him and he loves it (nerd). Will marathon catch ups on all the movies and shows he's missed; especially the series he was into that got continued after the portal incident. You lose him to Star Wars prequels etc for at least a couple weeks of him getting his head round all the lore and how it works, may have controversial opinions and needs to work it all out, may need to contact dipper about this.

Regularly has calls with the family (mainly the twins) over video chat (and will always call it 'video calling' no matter what platform they're using), so once you're together that includes you too and be prepared to be bombarded with questions from them (your their new graunty or grunkle after all) ❤️

Tim literally only had to be there for Bruce to be better, it is explained in A Lonely Place of Dying that Bruce needs a child to take care of, and that's what Tim is, a child Bruce can take care of. They weren't parentified to take care of Bruce instead of him taking care of their emotional and mental wellbeing. HE TOOK CARE OF THEIR EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL WELLBEING. Damn, with Tim, he does it when his parents don't. With Dick, it's the whole point how Bruce took him to take care of his emotional and mental wellbeing because nobody did for Bruce, and Bruce succeeded.

Stop infantilizing autistic adults. Bruce being autistic and having difficulties with communication, emotions and relationships because of it doesn't mean his kids were the one taking care of him. It means his kids had to learn how it is to interact with an autistic or neurodivergent person.

Bruce being well only when he has a kid to take care of is what is difficult for the kids, because it makes the process of becoming an adult more difficult when your dad needs a kid.

I challenge y'all to be able to talk about Bruce being mentally ill without painting it as a burden to his family, because that's the only way you ever do it.

Mostly because he loves you (albeit never admitting it to anyone) partly because he likes to see all the other ricks stare at him dumbfounded because he managed to bag you.

While walking through the citadel, you had managed to notice how most- if not ALL- of the Ricks were staring at you, their eyes wide and mouths agape, pupils focused on you and your Rick for an uncomfortable amount of time, “Rick?” you called out- voice just above a whisper, it felt wrong to speak any louder, “Hm?” was the response you got from the rick beside you- his hands shoved into his pockets as he scanned the area, eyes almost narrowing at every other version of himself that looked your way yet also you couldn't help but notice the shit eating grin that he held- it was almost as if he had won something over the others. “why is everyone staring at us?” you frowned, uncomfortable with the amount of eyes that followed your every step, every move like hawks observing oblivious prey. With a sigh, your Rick took of one his hands out from his pockets and placed it on your shoulder, patting it ever so slightly before flipping the Ricks and Morty's off, successfully earning angry groans and 'fuck you's “Dont worry, they're just shocked I have someone as hot as you and they dont, fuckin' losers”.

🜸 ㅤ▎▍ㅤAlso RICK is amazing at masking his jealousy as annoyance or anger- typically playing it off as someone staring at him for too long when in reality it was because someone was getting to close to you. He comes up with the quickest excuses too and somehow they're believable.

You stared at your Rick, biting your bottom lip nervously as the screams of an alien alongside the familiar sounds of an ambulance grew distant every second. “Honey...” you began, worried as to why your boyfriend would suddenly shoot a random person while you were busy chatting with one of the Ricks you two had met before. “The fucker was starting at me weird- almost like it wanted to fight me” your Rick casually shrugged, answering a question you had yet to ask “Still... You--” “Shouldn't have shot him, yes yes I know- you're so morally superior to me” he simply rolled his eyes, earning a small shake of your head before you returned to your conversation with the other Rick- who suddenly became uncomfortable with continuing whatever you two were talking about previously- instead excusing himself and leaving you and your Rick behind. “huh... That's weird”

Little animations for my DR tic headcanons!! To be so clear this is *not* me trying to create good rep, this is explicitly me projecting my own tics onto some little guys using gimmicky plot points and then making art about it! so like. grain of salt and a little ableism cw 👍

Chiaki who freezes and shudders in overstimulating environments, ostensibly because her tics are triggered by sound/light/motion — but then in Ch.6 you learn she was actually just lagging when the computer had too much stuff to render nearby. This makes it even more disorienting postcanon when they remember the real Chiaki, who had a slightly different personality and completely different tics. Most of them were omitted from the AI because it was averaged from the memories of several students (including Hajime) who never noticed or mistook them for fidgeting — helped by the fact that her tics vanished whenever she was focusing on a game. It's convoluted but in a way that I think suits the source material lol.

Kokichi who is an expert at making tics look intentional, because he'd rather come off as "annoying on purpose" or even pretend to mock the disorder he secretly actually has than just admit there's a part of himself he can't control. And he certainly doesn’t need anyone outside DICE realizing the tics are a very honest indicator of his stress levels. He treats his own outbursts as cues to whine that he’s bored; he makes meaningful eye contact with Shuichi whenever he can’t stop blinking, because he knows it’ll make Shuichi lose his mind trying decode a Morse code message that doesn't exist; and in the killing game he pairs his motor tics with the straitjacket uniform and a cringy Joker impression to create some campy caricature of “crazy” that scares the people who are idiots (Kaito) and makes everyone else think he’s just doing an offensive bit — which, for better or worse, he kind of is.

it shows that ben takes kevin seriously enough to pay close attention to his thinking patterns, it`s nice

and from kevin`s perspective, it once again exhibits what has been described in the past about his knowledge over things

and how that`s just an average day to him

he doesn`t come off as that defensive in this scene. at this point in time, he is comfortable with ben when he doesn`t know about something or his ignorance over ”normal stuff” in general

to me this sort of banter is a sign of trust, they can poke at each other without it becoming hostile

“I don't always like the movies everyone else picks but I at least watch them. Her hair is permed, she said she was in the shower. She would have had to have been washing her hair if she didn't hear the gunshot and she has a perm.”

“You can wash your hair with a perm,” Nancy points out.

“You would know.” Eddie snarks, fingering the ends of his own hair.

“You can't wash a fresh perm, you'll fuck up the ammonium thioglycolate. Then you're out forty bucks and you've got limp hair. She killed her dad and lied about being in the shower.”

“Press play,” Eddie decrees again, leaning in close to Steve's side to purr, “it's pretty sexy when you go all hair care detective.”

His hand starts to slip below the blanket. “This is how we ended up with Lucy in the first place,” Steve reminds him, just under the sounds of the courtroom drama picking back up. It doesn’t stop Eddie’s hand from wandering until the movie’s climax starts getting closer, and Eddie’s attention is captured just like Robin’s and Nancy’s.

“Unbelievable,” Robin says, when Elle cites the perm salt.

“Never again,” Nancy swears, when Chutney screams her confession.

“Lucy’s been asking for a brother or sister,” Eddie flirts, as Elle reveals that any good Cosmo girl could have solved it.

No more movies with mysteries or twist endings for a while, they all agree, Robin can’t afford to keep betting against Steve.

there’s moments where katsuki yearns for warmth, despite his quirk. more often in the winter months—never the summer. in his greatest dreams, he basks in the sunlight, surrounded by nature’s arms as the magpies perch on tree branches and ants tread in a line.

in his dreams, he is laying on a mattress, blanket tucked into his chin, breath steady and moonlight kissing his pale cheeks.

in other dreams, he is leaning against a wall, eyes barely open as the sky greets him with pink hues.

sometimes, katsuki has breathtaking nightmares. often, he wonders if he is dying, but strength comes to him like a second nature. as if the earth itself is protecting him from the horrors of his own creations.

katsuki is leaning against his boyfriend’s shoulder. on his lap, his favourite pillow—on the tv, his favourite evening show. white snow assaults the window as the blizzard worsens, but katsuki is not afraid anymore.

izuku scrolls on his phone without hesitation. he stays still; waking katsuki up would induce another guilty episode. he knows katsuki has worked too hard this week with all the earthquake concerns and cold weather.

then, katsuki sighs, mindlessly grabbing izuku’s hand and intertwining their fingers. izuku reacts with haste, lets his phone plop to his side as he protects katsuki from whatever awful feeling he may be fighting.

katsuki pulls a certain face when he’s content. izuku gazes at his pouting lips and knows they will remain like this for a while. he won’t complain.

“don’t move, shitnerd,” katsuki mumbles, and izuku blinks, moving his lips away from katsuki’s face. instincts are hard to fight when kacchan is so adorable.

“sorry, kacchan. i didn’t know you were awake.”

“mm.” katsuki nuzzles his head against izuku’s shoulder, burying himself into the firmness even further, and that warmth spreads in his chest like a blooming peony.

what are Ford and Stan love language? O: your analysis of them are really cool

I find it a little difficult to answer, just because everyone always displays some of them at different times, that said though, here are some of the essentials:

Stanford: Quality time/parallel play for definite, he likes even if he's working for someone to be with him l, you don't have to even be doing the same thing or talking that much he just likes being in your presence.

Words of affirmation is one he'll also do a lot to you, acts of service is one he likes, too, especially receiving. Infodumping/research type of acts of service: He'll ramble on about his latest research or hyperfixation and fix something of yours that's broken and upgrade it at the same time. You know how people say that phrase of 'loved to the point of invention'? That's Ford! Will research into solutions for any problems you have to try to help you.

Stanley: Acts of service/support swapping is his big one (remember that episode when he gets the kitchen light and how much stuff he sacrifices for the rest of the family?), need a new part to your car? He'll buy it and fix it. Need someone to take your shift? He'll make sure it'll be covered or if you're not working at the shack, will make the sick call himself. Had a hard day? The bath is already filled with hot water and bubbles when you get home. He'll love it if you do the same for him though, makes your partnership feel like a team and he'll feel less burnt out

Quality time is also one he shows a lot in the show, often something laid back like fishing or watching tv/movies with the family, but also doing more risky/active things like breaking into the golf course 😅 or hosting a party. The one he responds to the most is words of affirmation and the one he does for people he really loves is gift giving (but it's usually the smaller things so more like penguin pebbling).
