The new Chuckle Sandwich episode was being filmed and the three hosts had decided to talk about old movies and childhood nostalgia.
“Do you guys remember that thing where someone would try to get the love interest to kiss them on the cheek, but they’d turn their head at the last second and get a kiss on the lips?” Charlie questions, carrying on the conversation about old romance movies with plots that flew over their heads as children.
“No.” Schlatt scowls at the screen, clearly confused as to what his friend was referring to.
“Dude, it was a super popular trope!” Ted counters. “I remember my parents even doing it sometimes.”
“Yeah, it was like a cute thing people would do all the time.” Charlie agrees. “You’ve definitely seen it before, you probably just don’t remember.”
“No, I’ve never even heard of it. Besides, there’s no way it would work. What, the other person just doesn’t notice their partner’s head swinging around at top speed? They’d have to be blind for that to work.” Schlatt doubles down on his stance, in classic Schlatt fashion.
“What?” Ted has his signature disbelieving smile pasted on his face. “There’s no way THE Jschlatt has never seen it. It’s the oldest trick in the book. How do you not know it? You’re basically our jester!”
“I’m electing to ignore that.” Schlatt fires back at Ted, turning around to watch you tentatively open the door, his lunch in hand and Jambo at your heels. He motions for you to come in and while you cross the office, he swings around in his chair to face the screen again.
“Dude, try it on her.” Charlie proposes, seeing you usher Jambo through the door before you close it. “She’ll totally fall for it!”
“She won’t.” Schlatt still doubts how anything so childish would ever work, but tests it nonetheless, just to prove Ted and Charlie wrong.
As you set the plate of food down on his desk, Schlatt looks at you and taps at his cheek. “Knock me a kiss, sweetheart.”
All too used to his needy bouts, you don’t put up a fight, getting ready to plant a peck on his cheek. But before you can, he swivels his head to catch your lips in his own.
The kiss is short and sweet. Obviously not too explicit for the sake of his two friends watching on screen, but still conveying all the emotions he found hard to express with words.
Separating from him, you feel a bit embarrassed about kissing in front of an audience. Said audience is currently cheering and shouting “I told you so!”, heard even through Schlatt’s headphones.
Neither of you can hide your smiles when you turn away from each other, him muttering a shy “Yeah, whatever” into his mic. You shuffle out of the office and catch your breath in the hallway, wondering if he’ll be doing that more often.
“Can we keep that in or do you want the editors to cut it out?” Ted asks seriously, not wanting to cross either of your boundaries.
“Nah, cut it out. She’s just for me.” Schlatt’s smirk is oh so obvious on screen.
“God, you even sound like an old movie. You sure you weren’t cryogenically frozen in the 90’s and thawed out?” Charlie moves to a new topic, laughing at how easily Schlatt jumps into explaining the conspiracy that Walt Disney’s head was frozen when he died.

What can be said about Frozen that hasn’t been said? This is probably the biggest movie Disney has put out in 25 years and has certainly influenced this current generation of kids.
Remy has a sex podcast called “How cum” and we touch on that but we also get into why Frozen works. And why Frozen 2 dosen’t. But more on that in a few weeks. Enjoy the episode!

Confidental Composition//Bakugo
!!!MINORS DNI!!! 18+ONLY !!!
This is the first part of my little 'Teachers Pet Series' (I will add the link once I got all parts covered and the right ideas).
Summary: A simple task fucked up late at night as you send the wrong version of a piece of homework to your English literature teacher Mister Bakugo. Of course, he would want to see you after class the next day. But not for the reasons you might think. Pairing: Docent!Bakugo x afab!student!y/n // Words: 4.2k+ Side note: Insert a friend or random name you want for X :)
TW: nsfw: slow burn (sorry), spanking with a ruler, hair pulling, being bend over a desk, calling him sir, spitting, choking, dirty talk, degrading, slight praise
„Write an essay about the worst description of a woman or coitus. In the essay, explain why it is bad and then rewrite it. At least 30 pages, max. 60 pages (sources and any other extras you please to include, excluded). Due Date: 8 weeks from now on, 35% worth of your end grade. Questions can be asked per E-Mail, or, if you must, I’m free every Wednesday afternoon for meetings strictly for this essay and this essay only.“
A sigh left your lips as you starred at the piece of paper for the tenth time today ever since he handed it out to you and your classmates. The options you had were endless, you knew so many bad pieces about both topics and could write more than 100 pages about them as well. Everyone in class you talked to had decided on their topic already, some were even further. It was X who told you to just write the topics on a piece of paper and let fate do its work.
Black ink on a badly ripped blue note decided that you were going to write about a sex scene. Just now that you thought about it, rewriting something like that for your professor to read was an awfully stupid idea, yet you decided to listen to a small piece of paper.
At first, you were going to go with Fifty Shades of Grey but you felt like the choice was chewed up and spat out. It took you three days to finally decide on a book and once you settled there was no turning back. Considering your ignited interest in this topic you weren’t surprised when you were done within the first four weeks. Knowing the editing is going to take another week, maybe even a week and a half, you decided to take a small break, just one or two days off. On your second day, you decided to visit the new coffee shop that had just opened up around the corner.
Never had you expected to see your professor near your living spot. You were about to greet him when you noticed his pissed-off expression on his face and only now did you spot the woman behind him. She grabbed his arm and made him turn on the relatively small and empty street.
„Suki you can’t be serious,“ she was angry and hurt, while he seemed to be angry and annoyed. Not much of a difference than to how you see him on the daily, to be honest. „Are you fucking stupid? Of course, I’m fucking god damn serious. It was your choice to cheat on me and now I choose to throw you on the streets where you apparently belong, go ask one of your little boy toys to take you in for all I care,“ you were frozen in place, not entirely sure what to do. Right now your eyes were glued on his chest that was clad in a tight, black pullover, rising up and down heavily as his nostrils were flared caused by his anger. „Because you gave me no choice! If you like that sort of weird, rough shit then paddle your own canoe! I need something soft and tender-,“ before she could finish her sentence he laughed. Cold and slightly maniac in a way.
„Then get some fucking chicken! If you don’t like how I’m in bed then break up with me and piss off but don’t send my best friend a nude to ask him to come over. Even a ten-year-old would see how stupid that is,“at that moment your eyes met. His eyebrows were furled together, red eyes expression furry and disgust. Blond hair usually styled like he was going to be on the cover of Vogue, like he had been before, now slightly messy. Plump lips slightly apart to let his teeth shine through slightly before wetting them with his tongue. Your eyes widened and before you knew what you were doing you waved at him, making him cock his eyebrows in confusion for a second before noticing it was you who he was looking at. Turning on your heels you walked past busy crowds of people as you walked back home, trying to understand what you had just seen and why your angry professor had turned you on more than anyone had done before.
It was a stupid idea to ditch the next teaching unit of his but you had absolutely no clue how you were going to look at him. You knew teachers had a private life themselves, but never would you have guessed that you would run into one of them in your small area. As far as you knew he lived across town according to the very, very few private stories he had shared in magazines.
„Dear Professor,
down below is my finished project as an attachment in form of a PDF. I know you request it to be printed as well and I had planned to hand it in today, but sadly I came down with the flu. I’m looking forward to attending your next unit in the following week.
Have a nice week,
Y/N Y/L/N“
Maybe he had forgotten that you were there already and you were worrying too much about it. You were his student, nothing more, nothing less. Bakugo could care less about you, right? The flu did go around a lot right now, so it wouldn’t be completely unthinkable that you were sick. Itching eyes signaled you that it was time to go to bed now, so you closed your laptop and went to bed, not knowing what the next day will hold for you.
X had waited for you at the main entrance the next day to give you all the information you might need and ask why you weren’t there, considering it was obvious that you had the flu for one day only. At first, you were hesitant to explain what you had witnessed, it was messy already and you doubt Mister Bakugo would want the fight to go viral at his workplace. „Just one of those days you know? I had my mind completely full and felt like crap,“ that was the best excuse you could come up with, a white little lie that wouldn’t harm anyone. „Glad to see you’re doing- Oh, hello Professor,“ X smiled at someone behind you. There was no need to turn around to know who it was, the scent of his very expensive and extremely beguiling perfume clouding your mind. „Hello,“ his gruff voice greeted your friend shortly as you turned around, met with his muscular chest. You didn’t expect him to be so close to you, but here you were, tilting your head slightly as you looked up to him through your lashes, feeling not just your cheeks growing hot. „Good morning Sir,“ your voice sounded a lot more confident than you were feeling. Bakugo clenched his fist around the fake leather of his bag, his red eyes starring right into your soul as you had no chance of escaping whatever was going to happen next. „Miss Y/L/N, just the person I was looking for,“ fuck. „You were?“ X and you said at the same time, but your friend decided to excuse themself after a single glare from the older man. „How may I help you, Professor?“ You asked after swallowing down the anxious feeling that threatened to rise. „I received your Mail yesterday, with the PDF,“ okay, why did he search you just to tell you he got your assignment? Was it that bad? „But I’m relatively sure that it was the wrong one, considering I doubt that you want your teacher to know that 'this shit is so bad, but I wouldn’t mind being bent over a writing desk like that' with a smirking emoji at the end,“ only when his finger pushed your chin upwards gently you noticed that it was agape, shame filling every molecule in your body as you already planned your escape out of this country. Nobody was near you to see the weirdly intimidating scene happening between you and your teacher.
„Also I know you didn’t have the flu. I don’t appreciate being lied to. Tomorrow five p.m. in my office, don’t be late or you will get in more trouble. Send me the actual version tonight so I can grade it. I won’t let something as unprofessional as this slide again, understood?“ You nodded, taking in all of the information given to you, and somewhat in all of this mess felt thankful that he was giving you a second chance. The man in front of you rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue, ordering you to speak up. „Yes Sir, thank you,“ you sounded more confident than you felt inside. „Good,“ was all Bakugo said before he turned around, leaving you behind in the big hall dumbfounded and confused… And horny.
As if Chronos himself felt immense joy in your misery, minutes appeared to be hours and the panic inside of you only grew the closer you came to five in the afternoon. You tried everything, watching a show, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, reading a book you had put of for so long, went outside, cooked something, worked on another assignment, stopped yourself from destroying your hair, made the phone call you so desperately had put off and it’s still only ten p.m on the same day. How was that even possible? As you laid in bed you tossed and turned, the thought of your really hot teacher all angry, breathing heavily, his hands roaming your body. It was hard to pinpoint exactly when those thoughts turned into a very lucid dream, but when you woke up in the morning, already an hour too late to your first period, all you wanted to do was scream into your pillow.
Considering first class is canceled, you wanna go grab breakfast? X texted you.
Canceled? Checking your mails you saw your teacher had sent out a mail, excusing themselves and explaining they came down with the flu. A blessing in disguise. You let X know that you would meet up at the building and go grab something near it. Once agreed, you took a quick shower, a moment of peace given to you as water hit your body. There was no way you could do anything between your last class and the meeting with Professor Bakugo, so you tried to look your best possible for the next upcoming hours.
Suddenly time flew by and the closer you got the more you begged for a little bit more time, for him to postpone it, anything. But no, here you were, five minutes early and looking around to spot the blond man with no luck. „Miss Y/L/N. Step inside,“ you jumped slightly as his voice boomed up behind you, not expecting him to be in the office already.
Once you walked inside you were stunned about how clean everything was, no matter where you looked it was neat. His books were sorted alphabetically with marks between them to let him know when a new letter began. As far as you could tell he used cherry wood for his pieces of furniture, a big, black carpet in a corner underneath a small seating area, and some books placed on the table. Even his paperwork was stacked in order. Big glass windows allowed the evening sun to fall into the room, its warmness kissing your skin while you were seated in front of him, a big writing desk between the two of you, on it your work.
It was quiet for a short moment, before he leaned back in his chair, red eyes mustering you up and down which didn’t help at all. „What would you like to talk about first? Your assignment or the fact that you lied to me?“ Why was he so bothered by your lie? You knew plenty of students calling in sick every once in a while even though they aren’t. „I apologize for both of it. It shouldn’t have happened and I learned from my mistake,“ you were hoping that it would ease his anger a little bit but he seemed more worked up than usual. „Although I don’t understand why you are so angry at me for it? Plenty students lie-,“ „Yes, but they aren’t stupid enough to make it so obvious,“ he interrupted you. „I could care less about who’s missing my class, it’s their fault in the end if they decide learning is unnecessary. However you are one of my top students, I expected better from you. You could have excused yourself with no explanation. But you chose to add the feeble lie about being sick for what?“
You took in a deep breath, feeling as if another lie would be caught immediate, so you had no other choice but to tell him the real reason: „I heard the fight you had with the woman you were with, in the café, and I didn’t know how to react when I see you in your class,“ there was a small moment where he looked honestly confused before something clicked in his brain. „So it was you who I saw. What did you hear?“ „I can’t really rem-,“ „One more lie and I will lose my temper, don’t test me,“ shit, why was he turning you on so much right now. He’s your teacher for god’s sake and angry at you, this wasn’t the right time. „That she doesn’t agree with certain things in your private life,“ „Like?“ he knew you tried to talk around it, yet he wanted you to talk about, to see you embarrassed again, he liked that look on you. „The way you fuck,“ it was said before your brain could even comprehend the words, another apology laying at the tip of your tongue but his next question cut you off before you could say something else. „Why were you there in the first place? I’ve been there a few times and never saw you or any other student,“ he explained. „Because I live close by?“ It sounded more defiantly than you had wanted, causing your opponent to cock his eyebrow.
„I feel like you’re forgetting who’s the authority figure here,“ he walked up to his door, locking it before coming back. Now he was right in front of you, slightly sitting on his desk and the sleeves of his button-up shirt pushed up a little. „No sir, I’m sorry,“ „You see, the problem is, I don’t really believe you,“ with that he pulled you up, bodies pressed against each other, letting you feel his toned torso while the muscles in his arms flexed slightly.
„You lied to me once already, I think I have to teach you a lesson,“ everything happened so fast and you suddenly found yourself face down on his desk with his hand between your shoulder blades, the other one grabbing his wooden ruler. „If I recall correctly this is what you wanted right?“ His voice was low, slightly above a whisper as his upper body was pressed against your back while he pulled a few hair strands from your face. „Yes, but Professor I don’t think this is a good idea,“ your inner voice yelled at you, saying this was the best idea ever, angry that you possibly ruined your dreams coming true.
„Tell me to stop and I will do so immediately. Your choice. There will be no consequences if you worry about that,“ he reassured you, waiting for you to get up and run, but you didn’t and the current position allowed him to feel you clench your legs. „So?“ He asked again, the ruler in his hand basically burning with the anticipation of hitting your skin. „No, don't stop,“ you breathed, awaiting his next move.
„Good,“ with that he exposed your raised ass, your underwear the only thing between your bare skin and the wood that came down upon it, one foot raising in the air because of the sudden pain. „From now on if you say stop I won’t listen, you will tell me how you feel through colors. If it’s too much you tell me red and I will drop everything, understood?“ Another spank was delivered to the same spot.
„Yes,“ another one. You weren’t sure if he hit harder or if your skin turned more sensitive with every blow.
„It’s sir to you,“ you could feel him lunge out but shortly before the ruler came down he stoped, laughing slightly at your small jump.
„Yes sir,“ another one.
„You’re going to apologize every time my ruler paints your cute ass even redder, got it?“ You nodded your head, a moan escaping the back of your throat as he spanked you yet again.
„One more thing, be a good girl and stay quiet, wouldn’t wanna get caught now do we?“ He knew it was going to be torture for you to follow his order the more he continued and in a way he wanted you to fail. There was so much build-up inside of him and it appears that you were willing enough for him to use you as he pleased. That’s why you were his favorite. Bakugo knew what he was doing was wrong and he never expected to feel this way for one of his students but forbidden fruit tastes the best.
You stopped counting after the seventh blow, sorries, sirs and small whimpers fall from your lips as if they were your whole vocabulary. At one point you started crying, tears mixed with mascara running down your cheeks. He tried to remember something that turned him on more than the sight of your messed-up body with no luck. Everything build up inside of him, everything itching in his hands, the inner desires he had to soften for his ex, it all was going to come down on you. His thick girth twitched at the simple thought of finally being surrounded by your dripping wet cunt.
A warm soft hand rubbed over your bruised flesh while the other one found its way into your hair to pull you up to him, your back arched.
„What are you sorry for?“ Your mind was clouded with pleasure and pain, the only thought right now was the feeling of his dick print right between your sore cheeks. „I asked my little bitch a question, I expect you to fucking answer,“ this time he spanked you with his hand but it was just as intense as his ruler. „I don’t know,“ you breathed, a soft moan slipping out of you when his thumb barely circled your throbbing clit. „You’re just apologizing because you want me to use you?“ You could hear him chuckle lowly before he pushed your underwear to the side, his middle finger now playing with you. „Yes sir,“ Katsuki couldn’t hear a single ounce of shame in your voice and he wondered how long you had been thinking about him like this before.
„I never expected you to be such a dumb, cock hungry whore,“ The sound of his belt hitting the floor was dull like it was far away from you but at the same time, you felt him closer than before. Strong hands around your waist turned you around and once again he lifted your head with his finger underneath your chin, studying your ruined make-up as if he was memorizing every little detail he never wanted to forget. The blond, muscular man lifted you with ease, your behind getting a small moment of cooling as it hit his wooden desk.
Bakugo dried your tears slightly with his thumb, smearing it even more. „Only for you,“ you whispered and in that moment he couldn’t stop himself, he just had to kiss you. Not sweet and gentle, but passionately and hungry, like he was poisoned and your kiss was the antidote. The hand behind your head traveling to the front as you were laid down completely.
„If I had known before I would have fucked you so much sooner,“ with one hard thrust he was buried deep inside of you, one hand over your mouth because he knew you wouldn’t be able to keep quiet and the other one around your throat, squeezing shut and watching you struggle against it slightly. Your professor was thicker than what you were used to and you didn’t know how good it would feel until now. With the first few snaps of his hips, you knew you never wanted to feel something else anymore.
Your hands went to his arms and you tugged on them, causing him to let go as the blood found its way back to your brain. „Color?“ he asked, afraid you weren’t able to handle him. „Green,“ was all you could get out before another moan cut off your ability to talk.
„Good girl,“ he whispered into your ear, kissing down from your earlobe to your shoulder before sucking on a rather sensitive spot. Both of your wrists were held over your head with his left hand, with the explanation that he doesn’t appreciate being stopped while using you however he pleased. The right hand was going from between your chest after he admired your bouncing tits thoroughly, to your stomach to connect with your most sensitive bundle of nerves. Bakugo switched from circles to eights, from fast to slow, but the harshness of his hips never haltered.
„I know you wanna scream right now, but I can’t allow that. Can’t let others hear what a dirty slut you are for me right now. I promise I will fuck you in my house if you behave now. You can moan my name as much as you want. Or maybe I will gag you, watch you drool all over yourself. Maybe I will tie you up and edge you for an hour straight until you’re begging me to fuck you, you like the sound of that, huh? I can feel you squeezing around me,“ another chuckle left his plump lips as he watched you struggle to stay up on your feet.
„Maybe I will let you choke on my dick while I work on something for the next lesson. Gonna use you as my little cum dump. Let you think about it again when I talk about it in front of the whole class. Do-,“ you were so close when a sudden knock on the door startled you both, but he never once stopped what he was doing, if anything he went even harder, whispering into your ear to be quiet for him.
„Hey Kat, your ex is outside and says she wants to talk, want me to send her in?“ It was the psychologist professor Shinso, his voice as done and deep as usual. „No, I’m occupied,“ Bakugo saw your mouth open after you fought so hard against it, he couldn’t let you moan, not right now. He did the first thing he could think of, spitting into it and watching you swallow. Oh, he would definitely film you do this with his cum covering you everywhere and the thought brought him slightly closer to his release. „Still grading papers huh? I don’t get where you got all of that energy from,“ his voice was blurred out by Bakugo whispering into your ear. „Do you want me to tell you what we're doing right now? Let him know I’m fucking my little toy stupid right now?“ And while you were shaking your head no it was the last straw for you and you found yourself grabbing his hand to put over your mouth, biting your lips until you tasted blood to muffle the scream you couldn’t stop. Bakugo cursed under his breath when he could feel you throbbing around his dick and your nails digging into his arm. „Tell her to leave me the fuck alone, she’s already forgotten,“ his voice sounded strained and you knew he was close as well. „Ah, I see. Well then have fun,“ his laugh was fading away the further he went.
„Can’t believe that made you cum, you’re even more perfect than I thought, such a dirty girl, tsk,“ both his hands are on your hips and he pulled your body against him with every thrust. You were still coming down from your orgasm when you felt his thrusts turning sloppy before he stopped completely, his dick now pulsing while he was holding you tightly. Breath uneven and getting stable on his feet again he turned you around, careful so he wouldn’t hurt you.
„Next time I gonna make sure you can’t walk but right now I need you to be able to leave the building,“ he pulled his pants back up and added: „Sadly,“ before walking around his desk.
It was still hard for you to stand so you sat down, wincing as the usually soft cushion now felt like thousand of tiny spikes on your bruised ass. Before you pull your bottoms up again he grabbed your wrist and pulled you up, once again with a stern expression on his face you were so familiar with.
„I apparently really fucked you stupid if you think I let you leave like this,“ having him put cooling cream on your bare bum felt more intimate than having him be balls deep inside you. „Sorry I just thought-,“ „Well, you thought wrong. I don’t know what kind of boys you had in the past but now that you have me there are going to be changes, got that?“

modern era headcanons I've got for the outsiders boys ✨
Darry
He’s the owner of the only Netflix/Amazon Prime/HBO Max accounts of the group and is the one who pays for it. The rest of the gang add their own profiles and watch everything they want.
Likes to keep up with the news and current affairs, so he follows a lot of reporters and activists on Twitter and is subscribed to lots of newsletters.
Is also a big fan of fake news and always tries to make the rest of the gang fall for the craziest ones. Two-Bit and Steve are his most recurrent victims.
Was the biggest football star of his school and got a scholarship thanks to it. He went to college but had to stop playing football eventually due to a knee injury. However, this didn’t sadden him, since he got his diploma and works in things related to sports anyways.
Because of this, Two-Bit likes to say “you haven't known the triumphs and defeats, the epic highs and lows of high school football” whenever Darry is nagging at him.
His phone password is Ponyboy’s birthday.
Two-Bit
He’s the reason why Darry had to get a Disney+ account.
Knows all the songs from both Frozen movies by heart.
Wanted to have a tarantula as a pet for a while but Darry quickly shot that idea down.
Adores John Mulaney and uses references from his shows everyday.
He doesn’t admit it, but he loves sweet drinks made of fruits and cocktails more than beer.
His socks never match.
Is the one that gets the most excited about Christmas. He’s not particularly religious but he loves the decorations, and the lights, and the whole mood in general. He’s the one that always makes sure the rest of the boys have presents, even if it’s something small.
Steve
He tells everyone his top artist in the #SpotifyWrapped is Limpbizkit but it’s actually Lady Gaga.
Wakes up early to watch the F1 races and has never missed a season of Top Gear since he was little.
He’s the best at playing video games, and he specially likes horror ones like Resident Evil or Phasmophobia.
Sodapop and him are always playing online together and they sometimes let Ponyboy join them.
Doesn’t like TikTok and is always going about how Vine was just much better.
Gets angry when his texts go unanswered in the group chat (they do this mostly to tease him).
Johnny and him unironically listen to Imagine Dragons and one of their bonding experiences was going to one of their concerts just the two of them.
Sodapop
Is the only one who can actually use TikTok and he’s pretty popular. He loves doing trends with crazy transitions and filming and posting videos about the gang.
Loves avocados a lot and gets teased for posting pictures of his meals.
His favorite game is Assassins Creed but isn’t a big fan of the community and fandom around the game. He just wants to play it and have fun.
Everyone texts back when he speaks in the group chat. Steve and him have bickered about this many times.
Steve and him are very into The Witcher. They have played it together and have binge watched the series in a day.
Has a family picture of the Curtis on his nightstand.
Facetimes the rest of the group whenever he wants, specially Ponyboy and Darry.
Dally
Has been blocked by various politicians on Twitter.
Is a very big fan of Game of Thrones and one of his favorite characters is Arya Stark.
Makes sure to be the first one to text Johnny on his birthday, even if they’re standing next to each other.
Loves crime/serial killer podcasts and has a vast knowledge about these topics (and gets very mad whenever someone glorifies these acts).
Hates going to the dentist. There is a very embarrassing video of him being out of it after getting one of his wisdom teeth removed.
Is always listening to music and doesn’t like sharing his earphones unless it’s Johnny.
Has practiced a lot of sports during his life and his favorite one so far is boxing.
Got drunk one New Year’s Eve and confessed that Darry was like the brother he wished he had had and nobody has ever let him live it down.
Johnny
Wears denim overalls with cute sweaters and loves jackets with lots of pockets.
Loves spicy food and is the only one in the group who can actually eat it without any problem.
Has always wanted a puppy or any kind of pet but his situation at home always made it impossible. Because of this, Pony gifted him a goldfish one Christmas and they set the fish tank at the Curtis’ so Johnny could visit it as much as he wanted without risking getting his parents angry.
He gets really attached to that fish pretty fast and treasures the gesture behind it. Pony and him name it Frost.
Pony and him use Twitter DM’s just to send memes to each other and store them.
He has a private Twitter account that only Pony gets to follow.
Can speak Spanish and French.
Owns a leather jacket that had been Dally’s a couple of years ago and takes care of it as if it was made of gold.
Ponyboy
Is a big fan of the Simpsons and can quote almost any episode word by word.
Says that The Godfather is his favorite movie ever but it’s actually Mamma Mia. He secretly loves musicals.
Is the only one with a Tumblr account and he’s pretty active in there.
Definitely writes fan fiction or character studies in AO3.
The only person that knows about that and gets to read them is Johnny.
His pfp always matches Johnny’s in any social media platform.
When he feels annoyed by his brothers, he likes subscribing them to random things and making sure they get spam constantly.
He loves digital books and owns a Kindle but he feels like nothing compares to a real book with real pages.

New SpaceTime out Wednesday: SpaceTime 20220406 Series 25 Episode 41 What created Pluto’s giant ice volcanos A new study suggests that the giant cryovolcanoes seen across the surface of the distant frozen world of Pluto were created through multiple eruptions the likes of which have not been seen anywhere else in the solar system. Ice on Mars provides clues about the red planet’s climate history A new study has found that just like Earth -- ice deposits on Mars show the red planet’s climate is strongly controlled by changes in the planet’s axial tilt and orbit around the Sun. Monitoring the shrinking Ice coverage on Earth Last week’s report that weather stations in Antarctica are showing temperatures 40 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of year have triggered alarm bells around the world. Concordia station located some 3234 meters above sea level atop of Dome C on the Antarctic Plateau is best known for being the coldest place on Earth. The Science Report A new study finds that many species of birds killed in collisions with wind turbines. Taking oral vitamin D supplements with medication could help limit the risk of asthma attacks. More evidence today that you can blame your parents on your academic success at school. Alex on Tech: new noise cancelling headphones that come complete with a built in air-purifier. SpaceTime covers the latest news in astronomy & space sciences. The show is available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday through Apple Podcasts (itunes), Stitcher, Google Podcast, Pocketcasts, SoundCloud, Bitez.com, YouTube, your favourite podcast download provider, and from www.spacetimewithstuartgary.com SpaceTime is also broadcast through the National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio and on both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio. SpaceTime daily news blog: http://spacetimewithstuartgary.tumblr.com/ SpaceTime facebook: www.facebook.com/spacetimewithstuartgary SpaceTime Instagram @spacetimewithstuartgary SpaceTime twitter feed @stuartgary SpaceTime YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/SpaceTimewithStuartGary SpaceTime -- A brief history SpaceTime is Australia’s most respected astronomy and space science news program – averaging over two and a half million downloads globally every year. The show reports on the latest stories and discoveries making news in astronomy, space flight, and science. SpaceTime features weekly interviews with leading Australian scientists about their research. The show began life in 1995 as ‘StarStuff’ on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC) NewsRadio network. Award winning investigative reporter Stuart Gary created the program during more than fifteen years as NewsRadio’s evening anchor and Science Editor. Gary’s always loved science. He studied astronomy at university and was invited to undertake a PHD in astrophysics, but instead focused on his career in journalism and radio broadcasting. He worked as an announcer and music DJ in commercial radio before becoming a journalist and eventually joining ABC News. He wrote, produced and hosted StarStuff from its inception, consistently achieving 9 per cent of the national Australian radio audience based on the ABC’s Neilsen ratings survey figures for the five major Australian metro markets: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. The StarStuff podcast was published on line by ABC Science -- achieving over 1.3 million downloads annually. However, after some 20 years, the show finally wrapped up in December 2015 following ABC funding cuts, and a redirection of available finances to increase sports and horse racing coverage. Rather than continue with the ABC, Gary resigned so that he could keep the show going independently. StarStuff was rebranded as “SpaceTime”, with the first episode being broadcast in February 2016. Over the years, SpaceTime has grown, more than doubling its former ABC audience numbers and expanding to include new segments such as the Science Report -- which provides a wrap of general science news, weekly skeptical science features, special reports looking at the latest computer and technology news, and Skywatch – which provides a monthly guide to the night skies. The show is now published three times a week and is also available from the United States National Science Foundation on Science Zone Radio, and through both i-heart Radio and Tune-In Radio.

Fandoms and Masterlist
HERE is a masterlist with links to all of the imagines on the blog.
The current list of fandoms I can write for: (updated Oct 18, 2023 - added a video game.)
Marvel:
MCU films/Disney+ shows
Agents of SHIELD
Agent Carter
Netflix's Defenders series
The Runaways
Amazing Spider-Man (must specify Andrew Garfield's Peter, otherwise I'll default to Tom Holland)
X-Men/Deadpool films
2005's Fantastic Four
The Gifted
I am also a fan of the comics themselves, so feel free to ask about others, even if they aren’t in the movies or shows~
Some of the comics characters/teams I am familiar with: Young Avengers, Avengers Academy, White Tiger, New Mutants
Shows:
Avatar the Last Airbender
The Legend of Korra
Castle
Doctor Who (Doctors 9 and 10 and their companions, can wing 11)
Firefly (rusty on this one, but I should be able to get back into the swing of it by watching some clips)
Gargoyles
Grimm
Huntik: Secrets and Seekers
Once Upon a Time (only main series - I stopped watching around the Frozen arc, but I'm still a sucker for Captain Hook and the Mad Hatter especially.)
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (Netflix)
Stitchers
White Collar
The Witcher (Netflix show only)
Movies:
Birds of Prey/Harley Quinn
Disney (Various - ask)
Into the Woods
Pirates of the Caribbean
Hunger Games
Night at the Museum
Rise of the Guardians
Video Games:
Baldur’s Gate 3
Detroit: Become Human
Pokemon (games especially - Legends: Arceus has some PRETTY characters. I’ve played at least one game for each gen in the main series, as well as both Orre region games and several other spin-offs. For anime, I’m most familiar with the original Kanto arcs and Ruby/Sapphire)
Shapeshifting Detective
Telltale's The Walking Dead (No other TWD media)
Until Dawn
Anime/Manga:
Fruits Basket
Hana-Kimi
Inuyasha
Land of the Lustrous (anime only)
Ouran Highschool Host Club
Spy x Family
Other:
Oxventure (Web show)
Oxventure Blades in the Dark
Tamora Pierce's books
Things I can write for but have extra restrictions:
Shugo Chara - Due to the age of most of the cast, Ikuto is the only character I’ll write as romantic with the reader, otherwise I’ll only take platonic/family member requests.
Undertale/Deltarune - Sorry, no ‘boning’ the Skele-bros. I won’t write any Undertale/Deltarune smut, the most I’m comfortable with (for various reasons) is flirting and fluff.
Actors/Youtubers - My opinions regarding imagines about real people can be found here
Actors from the works in this list
Markiplier and Jacksepticeye
TheRunawayGuys and friends (only platonic/meeting them imagines)
Outside X-Box/Outside Xtra (Very iffy on anything more than platonic, though I’m totally fine with writing relationship stuff with their characters from Oxventure or Blades)
Things I can technically write but have particularly problematic creators so I’m hesitant to still include:
Five Nights at Freddy’s
Harry Potter
Even though Joss Whedon and David Cage are similarly problematic, I’ve not moved their works to this category because I personally feel that they’re far enough removed from their respective works that I’m still comfortable playing with their worlds and characters.
Particularly obscure stuff I can write that I don’t expect anyone to know, let alone request, but please do if you do know them. Or just talk to me/ask me about them if you’re a fan or curious about them.
+Anima (manga series)
Forever (crime drama show that only got one season)
Heaven’s Vault (video game)
Millennium Snow (manga series)
My Time at Portia (video game)
Secret of the Tally (book series)
Sentinels of the Multiverse (tabletop card game/video game with additional lore explained in podcast)
Three Delivery (animated show that aired on Nicktoons Network)
The Troop (obscure Nickelodeon show I got super into)

It's been a hot minute since I did an update. Life has gotten in the way quite a bit, along with personal, non-Frozen-related projects - so I've been a little preoccupied. However, I am currently brainstorming some analysis ideas, collabs, and other content to keep the blog running with new content.
A BIG SHOUT OUT to all of my new followers! This blog went from 340 followers to 388 in just a few weeks, and I am over the moon! Thank you so much for finding this obsession little hobby of mine interesting enough to warrant a follow!
"GQA, where the heck are those character trivia posts you said you were working on?" They're coming...I swear! I'm just still trying to find the best method to create them - last update I decided on a PowerPoint, but I'm still trying to see if I can make the Tumblr Image system work without the trivia pages blurring and looking crappy and unreadable.
"So...what about that Frozen Podcast?!" It's officially in development hell haha. I am still trying to find the best method to showcase it, what topics to talk about specifically that will be engaging and fun, and who I'm going to ask to co-host (@hafanforever and @karma26 are at the top of the list since they showed an interest, also extending an invitation to @yumeka36, @the-blue-fairie, @tenshichan1013, and @true--north). Also, I'm kind of second-guessing if I'll have the guts to share my voice (no cameras) and talk to people. As you might've guessed...I'm shy.
If you have any analysis requests, collab ideas, or just want to hear my opinion on something, do not hesitate to send me a message!

Hello, and thanks, that’s sweet of you to say. This isn't a direct reply as a result of tumblr app bastardry.
But, yes. There’s not nearly enough Indian rep in podcasts, and honestly, the quality of said rep does vary, but I do have a few. I needed a distraction and ended up padding this post out way too much (hence the cut). Hope you find one here you like.
CARAVAN
Tumblr media
“CARAVAN is a story about getting through Hell with the people you love. When Samir and his best friend Carlyle take a camping trip to the Canyon, they don’t plan on getting caught in a thunderstorm. Even worse, they don’t plan on Samir falling into the Canyon. When he wakes up, Samir finds himself in a new world, where ghosts, demons, vampires, and other monsters terrorize the locals like any villains in a western. Samir joins up with a caravan—a vigilante train of supernatural bounty hunters—to delve deep into the Canyon depths, and find a way out of Hell once and for all.”
What the description doesn’t tell you but might be important to know is that this is a horny podcast. It’s not erotica, but there is a sex scene (Ep 1.8 36:28-39:20 if you want to avoid it, thank you Cait), and it’s generally pretty flirty/thirsty, both for humans and demons/vampires/ghosts/etc. This isn’t my thing, but the magic and worldbuilding certainly are, and it’s really well written, great sound design, and loads of queer rep. Written by Tau Zaman, who is Desi and American themself.
Hiatus • 10 Episodes • 24-56 mins each • Average ~27 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Unavailable • Transcripts Available on Website
About the Character: Samir, He/Him, Lead. Voiced by Sushant Adlakha. He’s bi, fat, and while a bit of a dork at times, gets his chance to be cool as well. Since he’s the lead, he’s there from episode 1.
The Godshead Incidental
Tumblr media
“A letter that was never answered, a city full of gods, and one million pigeons.”
In a city where gods are plentiful and walk among humans, a young woman writes a life advice column in the local newspaper. Not many episodes yet, but really intriguing and very well made.
Hiatus • 5 Episodes • 31-38 mins each • Average 35 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings in Episode Descriptions • Transcripts Available on Website
About the Character: Imogen “Em” Chandra-Phankham, She/Her, Lead. Voiced by Ishani Kanetkar. Em is aroace, and near perpetually exasperated, which is fair given what she has to deal with. Since she’s the lead, she’s there from episode 1.
Moonbase Theta, Out
Tumblr media
“It is 2098. The Moonbase program has been determined unprofitable. The last base, Theta, is twenty weeks from being decommissioned. Most of the crew is in stasis awaiting retrieval. Five remain – Roger Bragado-Fischer, Nessa Cheong, Ashwini Ray, Michell L’Anglois, and Wilder.
Join the crew of Moonbase Theta as they reach out to share the beauty, the isolation and frustration, the love and enmity, the humour, and the tragedy, as all count down to the operation’s end.”
The description tells you about all you need to know, bit I will give a tip: listen to the S1 supercut instead of each episode individually. Season 1 is a one-voice podcast, really strong regardless, but starting season 2 you'll have the full cast.
Hiatus • 42 Episodes + 28 Bonus Episodes • ~7 mins each (S1), 19-25 mins each (S2), 25-55 mins each (S3) • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Unavailable • Transcripts Linked in Episode Descriptions
About the Character: Ashwini Ray, Ze/Zir, Major. Voiced by Tau Zaman. Ashwini is a brilliant, eccentric, and reclusive computer programmer with an affection for popular adolescent literature. While mentioned earlier, we first hear from zir in S2E1.
This Planet Needs a Name
Tumblr media
“Imagine a handful of scientists and engineers setting out to terraform a planet - a world - for the frozen people they’ve got in tow. Just a few people, carefully chosen, who will live out their lives building something they’ll never see.
That’s us. We’re building a future.”
So much sci-fi finds the characters thrown into a worst-case scenario, so what if a group of people leaving a horrendous situation find themselves in a best-case scenario? TPNAN is an ultimately hopeful narrative, though deals with tough topics at times. The characters here are all created in tandem with their voice actors, which is really fun, and people here might know how much I enjoy lots of accents and languages.
Hiatus? • 6 Episodes + 4 Prologue + 12 Minisodes • 43-60 mins Each • Average ~50 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings in Episode Descriptions • Transcripts Linked in Episode Descriptions
About the Character: Devi, She/Her, Recurring. Voiced by, and developed in collaboration with Anjali Kunapaneni. Devi and her partner are both designers, Devi a self-assured architect. She makes her first appearance in episode 1.03.
The Strange Case of Starship Iris
Tumblr media
“In 2189, Earth narrowly won a war against extraterrestrials. The Strange Case of Starship Iris is about what comes after. It’s a story of outer space, survival, espionage, resistance, identity, friendship, found family, romance, and secrets. (Also, there’s jokes.)”
When the transport shuttle explodes, killing everyone else on the scientific survey, Violet finds herself alone in space with no way out. Until a passing ship picks up her signal. But the crew aren't who they seem to be, there's more going on than anyone knows yet, and Violet must decide who she can really trust. Quality piece of sci-fi.
Hiatus • 19 Episodes + 3 Minisodes • 31-50 mins each • Average ~38 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Available on the Tumblr • Transcripts Available on Website
About the Characters: Arkady Patel, She/Her, Major. Voiced by Ishani Kanetkar. Arkady is the ship’s muscle and security, clever, fast-talking, but socially awkward and with an unpleasant past. She’s also grey-ace, and wlw. She makes her first appearance in episode 1 •AND• Sana Tripathi, She/Her, Major. Voiced by Rukhmani Desai. Ship’s captain and engineer, Sana is level-headed, clever, and deeply kind. She’s also polyam, and makes her first appearance in episode 2.
Unwell
Tumblr media
“Lillian Harper moves to the small town of Mt. Absalom, Ohio, to care for her estranged mother Dorothy after an injury. Living in the town’s boarding house which has been run by her family for generations, she discovers conspiracies, ghosts, and a new family in the house’s strange assortment of residents.”
I won't spoil anything more for you, but I do think this is a podcast everyone should give a listen. Super well made, and not long until season 4.
Hiatus • 36 Episodes • 19-47 mins each • Average ~25 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Linked in Episode Descriptions • Transcripts Linked in Episode Descriptions
About the Character: Norah Tendulkar, She/Her, Major. Voiced by Anuja Vaidya. Norah is a brilliant scientist and designer unappreciated in her time, sharp, witty, but not always the most tactful of people. She first appears in season 2, episode 2.
ars PARADOXICA
Tumblr media
“When an experiment in a time much like our own goes horribly awry, Dr. Sally Grissom finds herself stranded in the past and entrenched in the activities of a clandestine branch of the US government. Grissom and her team quickly learn that there’s no safety net when toying with the fundamental logic of the universe.”
Physicist accidentally invents time travel and finds herself thrown into covert government experiments in the 1940s. My personal favourite take on time travel, but people tend to find it a bit hit or miss. If you struggle with time travel, you probably won't enjoy it.
Finished • 36 Episodes + 5 Bonus Episodes • 23-55 mins Each • Average ~30 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Unavailable • Transcripts Available on the Website
About the Character: Nikhil Sharma, He/Him, Major. Voiced by Arjun Gupta. I’m really not sure about the British-Indian(?) accent Nikhil’s VA puts on, it doesn’t add anything and I’m not sure what the point is, and so I’ve put this podcast at the bottom of the list as complaint. Which is a shame, because he is otherwise a very fun character. Charming, clever, indulgent and a bit silly, he’s a doctor from our own time. Bi. He first appears in episode 14, and becomes a major character a little later.
Actor Yes, Character Unknown
Tumblr media
Second Star to the Left
“Scout-explorer Gwen Hartley has five years to explore and prepare her planet for settlement. With no aid but her robots and the anxious voice of her long-distance scout-minder Bell Summers in her ear, she’s hoping to be ready for anything.”
The description summarises it well but fails to mention how charming it is. Each episode also has a little "bedtime story" which I am fond of.
Finished? • 10 Episodes • 24-41 mins each • Average ~30 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings Unavailable • Transcripts Linked in Episode Descriptions
About the Character: Gwen Hartley, She/Her, Lead. Voiced by Ishani Kanetkar. Bonus, Gwen recieves and reads some letters from close friend Priyanka Khan, She/Her, reoccuring, though we don’t hear her voice.
Starfall
“Starfall is a fantasy audio drama about the adventures of the Carouvel Traveling Acting Troupe - a theatre troupe that uses magical items to create illusions for their shows as they move around the Falstenian Empire. The story begins as the troupe is joined by Leona, a young warrior with a mysterious past and even more mysterious powers. With their new guardian in tow, the troupe traverses the continent, encountering the dangers of humans, fae, and greater forces alike, all while still trying to put on a good show.”

About the Character: Leona, She/Her, Lead. Voiced by Ishani Kanetkar. Leona is kind but oblivious socially, due largely to her background, also she has a badass sword and a powerful affection for food. She’s also aro-bi, and since she’s the lead, is there from episode 1.
Character Yes, Actor No
So, there’s two podcasts where the lead character has an Indian background, but I’m pretty sure their VA/creator doesn’t, which I’ve included anyway as a Desi friend of mine has expressed approval of both. I may’ve excluded them otherwise, but if they have value to her, then they might to someone else.

About the Character: Kalila, She/Her, lead. Kalila is Indian and Latina, and while I’m pretty sure creator/voice actor Lisette Alverez is Latina, I don’t think she’s Indian. Kalila is sociable, determined, creative. Also bi. As the lead, she's there from episode 1.
Girl in Space
"Nothing fancy here -- just the simple audio diary of a girl in space. Also, there’s this weird and potentially ominous light in the distance that seems to be growing steadily closer. Listen for science, guns, trust, anti-matter, truth, beauty, inner turmoil, and delicious cheeses. It’s all here. In space."
Hiatus • 13 Episodes + 1 Bonus Episode • 26-67 mins each • Average ~30 mins • Available on Major Podcasting Platforms and Spotify • Content Warnings not Available • Transcripts Linked in Episode Descriptions
About the Character: X, She/Her, Lead. It’s never discussed in any real detail, but X's father was one Dr. Singh, and I'm fairly sure she's mentioned offhand to be brown. That said, I’m pretty sure Sarah Rhea-Werner (podcast writer and voice of X) is white. X is also fat, asexual and autistic. She's kind, clever, sheltered, and a bit goofy. Since she's the lead, she's there from episode 1.
Does anyone else have any recs? Are you an Indian creator or VA, or is there one you want to shout out? Please do! And as always, if I’ve made any errors, I always appreciate being picked up on them.

Notes on SU Commentary Tracks
I watched the commentary tracks on the Complete Steven Universe DVD Set and I took some nerd notes.
Tumblr media
The episodes with commentary tracks are “Reunited,” “Change Your Mind,” and “The Future.”
I’ll bold stuff that was maybe bigger news or more surprising for easier reading. And yes, some of this was already known from podcasts, other Q&As, or interviews, but I listed it if they said it again here.
Read on after the jump to read these and other highlights:
Steven’s original wedding speech
Older ideas on dialogue for Lapis when she came back to the beach
Scrapped concepts for the scene that ultimately included Steven communicating with the others in a mindscape
Discussions of earlier concepts for White Diamond having a power to “freeze” Gems into statues to make them perfect and having a gallery of them on Homeworld
Pink Pearl’s original fate
The translation of the writing on Obsidian’s sword
The origin of Pink Steven’s design
What Rebecca did to pitch the “SHE’S GONE” scene
Earlier plans to include Shep in “Change Your Mind”
An unused concept of how Steven feels about Biggs
The inspiration for the Heaven and Earth Beetles’ healed design
How Volleyball/Pink Pearl was almost a mini-villain
Discussion of how they did not get to share the origin of the Diamonds
Jasper’s scrapped participation in the movie

“Reunited” -
Commentary with Rebecca Sugar, Ben Levin, Matt Burnett, Hilary Florido, Joe Johnston, Ian Jones-Quartey, and Kat Morris.
In 2015, an episode idea called “If You Love Yourself So Much” was discussed but rejected. It included some early ideas that ended up getting incorporated into “Reunited,” most notably Garnet marrying herself and putting rings on both hands.
The idea of the Cluster arm wrestling was planned for a long time. A scrapped idea of Steven banging his fist on a vending machine to get some Chaaaaps was supposed to visually parallel some of that scene, but it was axed.
When they got pushback on the wedding idea, they kept adding more and more “high entertainment value” items like a big musical number so the episode would be absolutely unmissable and appealing to everyone.
The song at the beginning of the episode was meant to check in with the entire cast and sort of remind you they exist and what their state of mind is going into the wedding.
Ian made a comment joking about “All 15 people in Beach City” being in the audience.
Just about everyone on the Crew touched this episode, despite that there are four main storyboarders credited for “Reunited.”
In 2016 Ian Jones-Quartey proposed marriage to Rebecca Sugar. They felt like the characters based on them (Sapphire and Ruby) HAD to get married in the show now because otherwise it wouldn’t be honest. But then their characters got married before they did.
They really love the idea of having characters get married who have known each other for a really long time, versus the fairy tale trope of movies ending with weddings between people who have met very recently.
Steven’s speech as officiator at the wedding used to be longer in its first draft--it was described as being weird and full of jokes, and there would have been a scene with Pearl getting weepy and pulling tissues out of her pearl.
Ian mentions loving a joke Jeff came up with having Greg play one chord to make Steven fall asleep--it’s sort of a “dream” chord you hear in cartoons a lot before a dream sequence.
The Crew discussed what it might be like if someone had never seen the show before and started with this episode.
Ian really wanted Steven’s psychic powers to figure into the episode.
Blue using a sadness wave to attack the Gems was a very old idea they’d planned for a long time. So was Lapis’s arrival.
There was a discussion of having Lisa Hannigan performing her lines as Blue VERY early in the morning.
Ian was happy the sword got broken because it was so momentous but it was just a sword. And later appeared on a shelf in the house as an artifact.
Miki had drawn a torn dress for Garnet at one point so she could be shown fighting and moving around more accurately, and this led to a long discussion of whether Gem clothing can even actually get torn the way human clothes can. They concluded that no, it shouldn’t be torn, so they backed up and gave Garnet an open-front dress from the beginning so the fighting version would make more sense.
Lapis originally might have had a longer speech upon arriving back on the beach. They eventually decided to just have her say “Hey.”
The barn falling on Blue Diamond was an intentional Wizard of Oz reference.
They point out that Steven even once said “drop the barn on the beach” (in a previous episode, “Can’t Go Back,” which was also a Miki episode).
Destroying the house was a big deal, and they always thought they’d end up doing it but backed away from it until “Reunited.” They almost even did it back in “Coach Steven”! But it just ended up with a little damage to the porch.
The Crew thinks Miki is really good at drawing ensemble shots.
Rebecca was always overwhelmed whenever she got to have Patti LuPone record for Yellow.
Originally the giant figures of everyone’s statue bodies in the mindscape were too dark and had to be revamped so they could be seen.
An earlier idea of Steven’s “psychic-ghost-situation” had him as a ghost actually trying to interact with the other characters during fighting action, but it was pulled back to this mindscape so there wouldn’t be as much confusing action to keep track of and more focus on what Steven was doing to encourage his teammates and contact the Diamonds.
Hilary was glad not to have to block out a fight.
Ian mentions loving having Bismuth back in the group.
They originally wanted the “Diamonds sensing Pink’s energy” plot to happen when Steven was in the palace somehow, but everything got moved to this scene--which the Crew all agrees turned out incredible, like how cool it was to have Steven essentially reminding each character why they fight and summing up their whole arc in a sentence.
“Change Your Mind”
Commentary with Rebecca Sugar, Ben Levin, Matt Burnett, Hilary Florido, Joe Johnston, Ian Jones-Quartey, and Kat Morris.
They like to refer to this episode as “The movie before the movie.”
They loved incorporating “princess tropes” into Steven’s time on Homeworld, which is why there were so many references to “mice” (well, Pebbles) making clothes, being locked in a tower, being reminded of his manners, loving animals and freeing imprisoned pets, etc.
Deedee did the voice of the rainbow worm pet. She apparently didn’t find it memorable and was surprised when she was reminded she did the voice.
Rebecca was super excited for the confrontation with Blue.
There was some discussion of how Steven would have died of starvation if he didn’t have someone practical like Connie to remember to bring food.
They love working with the huge scale the Diamonds present.
The Crew always wanted to put someone in Blue’s hair loop. Originally they wanted Blue to tuck Greg in there when she kidnapped him, but they didn’t end up being able to do any hair-loop-carrying until this episode.
The Crew bantered back and forth about what the heck those Pebbles’ names were and how hard it was to track them.
They agreed that Paul draws the best Yellow Diamond, which makes sense since he also drew the first episode with Yellow (and her stink face).
The scene where Yellow asks Blue to stop using her powers on her and then realizing she’s crying on her own was one of Rebecca’s favorite scenes to get to finally.
Steven Sugar thought Gems would spend a lot of time in their own chambers/rooms just not really doing much of anything unless they had to fulfill their purpose.
Some of the Homeworld ideas were based on a Soviet artist’s concepts, Boris Artzybasheff, and also many ideas were inspired by Busby Berkeley regarding how people were objects and furniture.
The mech was an old idea. Once they had the hand ship from “Jailbreak,” they knew there had to be bodies somewhere.
They focused a lot about what could be the coolest and funniest way for something to happen. The concept of the yellow and blue spaceship arms appearing out of the sky to smack the White Diamond mech around was one of those.
Rebecca really wanted things to look more and more cartoony and bizarre as you get deeper into Homeworld.
They spent a very long time trying to decide on characters’ new outfits.
The trash can lid is said to be a reference to “a flying bear cartoon” and they dance around speaking a direct reference because they’re not sure they’re allowed to say its name.
In discussing the powers of the Diamonds, there were debates on what White’s power would be; with Yellow being physicality-based and Blue being emotion-based, they thought White as identity-based made the most sense.
Different ways to express this were played with before settling on the idea that she thinks she’s perfect and others’ colors make them less like her and less perfect. But then she becomes a hostage to her own beliefs about herself because if she does anything that reflects on everyone else, so it’s best to do nothing.
They had some cool earlier ideas of White’s powers making statues out of other Gems and having a gallery full of frozen Gems, frozen by White to make them perfect.
They also weren’t sure what fate befell the original Pink Pearl and discussed whether she might have been destroyed.
Rebecca discussed how creepy it was to have White Pearl speaking in Christine’s voice and not Deedee’s--that we should find it fundamentally disturbing at this point.
Tom Herpich came up with the crack on White Pearl’s face.
In real life, pink diamonds aren’t understood as well as yellows and blues. It’s more known what makes a diamond yellow or blue, and some of those facts Rebecca researched were originally woven into the speech White gave about their “impurities.” But it turned out to be too dry and most of it got cut.
Rebecca loves having Lapis with pants and sandals for easier cosplay.
Ian had to draw the scene where Steven is falling and fusing with inert characters--he wasn’t able to properly explain it to Rebecca so she had him draw it.
They really wanted Rainbow Quartz 2.0 to have a scarf, but they couldn’t figure out how to get that into Pearl’s design. They miss the scarf.
It was really important to have these Fusions display call-forwards of the Gems’ new outfits which we hadn’t yet seen.
Rebecca points out that Sunstone’s design breaks a design rule and she feels like Sunstone should have Garnet’s pant leg colors on their legs, but at the same time she understands the rule of cool and likes it like this.
It’s discussed how none of Steven’s fusion weapons are exclusively offensive weapons either.
Rebecca still really wants a suction cup Sunstone toy.
Sunstone’s ability to transcend reality and break the fourth wall was a joke that exploded in the discussion room among the Crew. As soon as the idea was pitched everyone kept coming up with ideas. Sardonyx’s fourth-wall-breaking is more snarky, but Sunstone’s is helpful.
Rebecca was disappointed that the rule about Steven’s clothes wasn’t always followed with having his clothes appear on Obsidian’s hand, but she was delighted that you could see them in one scene.
They spent a lot of discussion time on making sure Steven-Obsidian was different somehow from Rose-Obsidian. The hair is different.
Old versions of Obsidian were drawn with wrapped-together Twizzlers legs, which sort of is reflected in the present design.
The sword had been planned forever--and it first appeared in “Bubble Buddies.”
Miki worked on the Ninja Turtles show so Rebecca was really excited to see her depictions of Bismuth and Sunstone.
An early plan to have Obsidian draw the sword from their mouth was complicated because fusion weapons should be combinations, so they finally reached the solution of having them combine to make the hilt, then get the blade out of Obsidian’s mouth.
The blade of the sword is thought to say “We’ll always save the day,” but you’d have to ask Steven Sugar.
Another really old idea was climbing into the White Diamond mech eye.
Rebecca was disappointed that some of the merch made of White Diamond did not feature her cape sparkles.
There were many debates early on about where Rose might “actually” be. There were tons of references to this fundamental question throughout the show--introducing Lapis as a Gem trapped in an object, having Pearl ponder pulling Steven’s Gem out as a baby, straight-up wondering what would happen to him in “Bubbled” when Eyeball was trying to take his Gem, etc. They all decided Rose was definitely gone but that the idea of her possibly being inside him should be on his mind a lot, leading to disturbing images like dreaming about coughing up her hair.
Yellow Diamond and Blue Diamond both challenged Steven about things he was very confident about, but White’s question of his identity got to him because he in fact is not confident about that.
The black and white eeriness of the fuzzy background and the other characters having their colors washed out helped make the scene in White Diamond’s head so disturbing and creepy.
The split screen showing Steven’s two perspectives was exciting to Rebecca, and was a pretty old idea. And she points out it sort of “breaks the show.”
The Gem Steven, Pink Steven, was represented by a slightly modified version of his model sheet. Everyone laughed when they saw what was getting used.
They decided that an earlier idea of Pink Steven looking angry should be replaced by an emotionless version of him. All the emotion should be with Organic Steven.
In the pitch meeting for this episode, Rebecca herself screamed “SHE’S GONE!!” and shocked the hell out of everyone. She pointed out how no one expected this of her because she’s pretty quiet, but she just wanted to shock everyone the way Steven would in the show.
They point out this is the first appearance of the geometric shield that got so much use in Future.
The fact that Steven is Steven is the ultimate reveal of the show. Usually in fantasy shows there’s some other kind of revelation, but Steven just being amazingly human and amazingly Gem and amazingly himself is wonderful here.
They like having the pilot reference with “What’s your excuse?”
If Rose had somehow still been alive in him, all of this would have been cheapened.
Ian loves that you can faintly hear Sadie’s concert from way out in space as the camera approaches Earth.
They got a lot more use out of the Beach-A-Palooza stage than they thought they would when it had to be designed for “Steven and the Stevens.” There was a joke about how at one of the conventions a real Beach-A-Palooza stage was constructed and they had a thought about how oh good, it’s getting reused.
Sadie having green hair in the finale was a late change but they liked showing her progression.
They had originally kicked around the idea of Sadie already having her new partner Shep at this point, but decided to develop that in Future instead.
They compare White Diamond’s stepping gingerly into the fountain to skeptically getting into a public pool.
Some silliness they didn’t get to use was that Biggs would be “beloved by everyone” except Steven. They never got to cover it, but originally Steven was just going to not really understand why everyone loves her so much and doesn’t personally much care for her.
The Heaven and Earth Beetles are based on the Mothra Ladies.
The healed Gems’ horns are supposed to be side effects of the corruption that they continue to bear in the present.
Larimar and Orange Spodumene ended up different in the ending scene than they became in Future. Many of the designs were retroactively pulled into this scene after being designed for the movie.
Rebecca wrote “Change Your Mind” as a personal song to express her feelings surrounding her fight for the wedding.
“The Future”
Commentary with Rebecca Sugar, Kat Morris, Alonso Ramirez Ramos, Hilary Florido, Joe Johnston, and Ian Jones-Quartey.
The animatic for this episode ran SO long--they’re supposed to be just over 11 minutes but this one was 17 minutes.
Steven’s calisthenics routine, a callback to “Future Vision,” was on the chopping block to make the episode shorter but Rebecca wouldn’t allow it to be cut because she wanted to show that Steven’s been taking care of himself.
They were very excited to get a chance to cover some of the things in Future that they couldn’t squeeze into the original show, like the unbubbled Rose Quartzes, Volleyball, etc.
The new writers on the show also helped bring forward the idea of Steven finally making some of his OWN mistakes to fix.
This also helped construct the idea of Steven essentially being the “final boss” of his own battle.
Usually stories that involve someone being in a fight and winning don’t explore the effect just being in a fight has on a person, regardless of whether you won.
Rebecca really wanted to play Ocarina of Time after beating it so she could go back to all the places and see how people were doing. She wanted this epilogue series to explore that a little too.
Little Homeschool is sort of a Tiny Toons reference--older cartoons teach younger cartoons how to be cartoons, and this is Gems teaching other Gems how to be Gems on Earth.
Lamar came up with the silly joke about receiving that art set with all the different media types in it--the one artists are always getting from a well-meaning relative at holiday time.
A scrapped plot idea involved Volleyball/Pink Pearl as a sort of “mini-villain,” with a focus on her activating the un-activated Pearls.
There’s discussion of how victimization turns people into villains sometimes. But since showing that happening with Volleyball wouldn’t have served the interests of Steven’s arc, they couldn’t fit it in.
There was also a “very specific” Gem origin and Diamond origin story that’s quasi-religious in nature--it’s very cool and complicated. But they do not tell us what it is.
Ian and Joe both really wanted to have Jasper living alone in the woods and stacking rocks. They’re glad they got this series to do that with her.
There was originally an idea for a B-plot involving Jasper in the movie. They don’t discuss the specifics.
There were many ideas they didn’t get to work on because they would have started new arcs and Future was not about kicking new plots into gear.
“Mr. Universe” was the last episode they wrote/finished.
Miki really wanted to include a kiss between Connie and Steven to show their relationship was okay. Among the Crew everyone knew their relationship was basically eternal but Miki wanted to make sure WE knew that.
Steven driving conveyed momentum for Future; in the original show, we always came back to the laundry hand, back to home, but in Future that’s changed and home isn’t what it was.
They were really excited that a gourd family made it to the crowd scene in Future.
Thanks for reading!
Note: The movie had some commentary tracks too, but the one on this DVD set is the same as the one released on the original standalone movie DVD, so I did not outline it here. Here is my post about the DVD commentary from the movie.

April Reading and Reviews by Maia Kobabe
I post my reviews throughout the month on Storygraph and Goodreads, and do roundups here and on patreon. Full reviews below the cut.
The Breaks by Julietta Singh
A short, powerful essay written in the form of a letter to the author's six year old daughter. Following in the footsteps of James Baldwin and Ta-Nehisi Coates, Julietta Singh writes to a young person of color growing up in America, with all of its racist and colonial history. This book weaves Singh's memories of a painful childhood injury into thoughts on body trauma and recovery, harassment by TSA into surviving political and ecological disasters, attending protests in her home city of Richmond, Virginia with an anti-racist counter-education for her child. Singh lives her feminist politics every day in a queer family experimenting with communal living, folding ethics into pedagogy, building human connection under extractive capitalism. I loved this book. Reading it expanded my thoughts in a similar way as some of my favorite podcasts Secret Feminist Agenda and Witch, Please. It made me think about how I'd like to live in relation to others in the future, it gave me hope, it confronted me with new ideas and underlined others I had already encountered. I soaked in the 150 pages in just two days and was left wanting more.
Robber Girl by S.T. Gibson read by Abby Craden
Helvig, the teenage daughter of a Swedish robber king, haunts the frozen winter roads hoping a rich merchant will fall into her grasp. Instead, she captures someone more intriguing: a beautiful young woman traveling alone who claims to be a witch. Helvig brings her back to the robber hideout and begs her father to be allowed to host her for a while. Gerda, the witch, seems driven by an urgent, foolish, and dangerous errand- she wants to keep traveling North in the dead of winter in search of a brother who went missing years ago. Helvig convinces her to stay with the robbers until she's regained some strength. And so the two begin a winter of uneasy cohabitation, building a friendship and sharing a bed at night, but both keeping back secrets of their pasts and fears. A delightful, Sapphic retelling of "The Snow Queen" fairytale by Hans Christian Anderson as a young adult novel. This is a story I heard several times in my childhood, so I was familiar with all of the elements and it was a real pleasure to see how they had been reworked and transformed. Beginning the story with the meeting of Gerda and the Robber's daughter (an event that takes place in the middle of the original story) was a smart choice, and the amount of deeply queer yearning woven through kept me on the edge of my seat.
Kisses for Jet by Joris Bas Backer
Set in 1999, this book focuses on gender-questioning teen Jet. They cultivate a long-haired, Kurt Cobain-esque grunge look that is still read as female by most of society. Jet attempts to explore various aspects of their gender in the cramped environment of a Danish boarding school for international students; they try binding and steal boys' underwear from the laundry room but have to hide their experiments from nosy teen neighbors. Luckily, Jet has a friend, Sasha, who shares their love of music and mild rebellion. Sasha seems able to see Jet for who they are when no one else can. Drawn in a scratchy, lively art style, this book really pushes into questioning aspect of queer and trans identities; nothing here is clear cut, and even at the end of the story Jet doesn't know where transition will fully take them. I had the pleasure of reading an advanced reader copy of this book; look forward to it's release in May!
Seek You: A Journey Through American Loneliness by Kristen Radtke
This is Radtke's second long, melancholic graphic novel mixing nonfiction and memoir. This one is an examination of loneliness and it's damaging and isolating effects. The author bares her own loneliness, which seems inherited from her reserved Midwestern family; she also weaves in quotes and research from scholars and scientists who have studied the topic, most prominently Harry Harlow, an American phycologist who bred rhesus monkeys and raised them in horrifying conditions. I remember reading an article about his research in a National Geographic magazine as a teen, so I was vaguely familiar with his work, but not the sadist extent of it. Radtke lays out the griefs and traumas of Harlow's personal life, which might have been what pushed him to raise animals in solitary confinement and watch it destroy them. Radtke does not attempt to excuse this behavior, noting instead what it says about human beings who are similarly separated from society. There was an opportunity here to talk about the damaging nature of prisons, but that does not come up in this book. It is a very solid and well-researched essay, thematically cohesive, and with poignant illustrations colored in a range of muted, moody tones. It's also very sad, which will probably land with some readers as cathartic and others as upsetting.
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
The follow up to Six of Crows, a fast paced fantasy heist novel I really enjoyed despite having to age up the characters from mid-teens to mid-twenties in my head for their level of expertise and motivation to feel at all plausible. This one picks up right after the cliff-hanger ending and takes place entirely within the city of Ketterdam (fantasy Amsterdam). My love for my favorite character from book 1, Inej, only grew, and I remained the most invested in her story line, relationships, and future goals. The middle of this book dragged a little for me. There were so many plots, double-crossings, double-double-crossings and last-minute reveals that I basically started to assume they were coming and they no longer surprised me. However I did really like how the final act played out- once I got into the last 200 pages the book went really quickly. I think I will probably set the series down here though. I'd rather end on a high note than wade into another overly-long sequel that I might loose steam on.
Circe by Madeline Miller
What a powerful story of a woman coming into her own power, making her own choices, and rejecting the toxic family and society she was born into! Circe is the daughter of a Titan and a nymph, the oldest but least loved of four siblings. She has immortality, but seemingly none of the power, beauty or grace of other gods and goddesses. Until she realizes that she can use plants, both earthly and divine, in potions to work some of her will upon the world. She irrevocably changes a mortal into a lesser god, and a nymph into a monster, confesses her actions, and is banished to a remote island for the rest of eternity. Here, where some stories might end, Circe's begins. Her life touches on so many other myths: King Minos and the Minotaur, Jason and Medea, and of course Odysseus. I was completely drawn in by the prose which is lyrical and rich without being distracting, and by the glimpses here and there of the Olympian gods who studied, drew, and daydreamed about as a child. I can see why this book gets so much attention; it deserves it.
Hani and Ishu's Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar
Hani and Ishu are fifth years at an all-girls school in Ireland. As the only two students of Bengali descent, people naturally tended to group them together, but they are extremely different people and have never been particularly friendly. But when Hani comes out to her white best friends as bisexual, and they don't believe her, she panics and lies, saying that she and Ishu are a couple. They regularly see each other at Bengali dawats, but Hani is still extremely hesitant to contact Ishu and ask if, maybe, she'd like to pretend to be girlfriends for a while... but Ishu surprises Hani by saying yes. Ishu has her own agenda: run for head girl at school, a position that will fill out her already accomplished resume for college applications, and she things Hani can help. I enjoyed many aspects of this cute teen romance, and think the leads had good chemistry, but overall the book was a little over-long for my taste. I wish the mean white friends had gotten less time on the page, because it was the family dynamics that interested me more. The audiobook narrators are very good, but I was listening at 1.5 speed by the end.
Too Bright to See by Kyle Lukof
A very short middle grade book which still manages to deliver a very successful ghost story and a sweet trans coming out narrative. The book opens at the beginning of the summer, when 11 year old Bug's beloved queer uncle has just died. Bug's house was already haunted before this death, but it's even more so after his passing. Bug struggles to process grief as well as pressures from friends to prepare for the transition to middle school- an opportunity some kids take to reinvent themselves. But Bug is haunted by both uncertainty about the future and literal ghosts.
Galaxy: The Prettiest Star by Jadzia Axelrod, drawn by Jess Taylor
Taylor looks like an ordinary teen boy (two siblings, single father, member of the high school basketball team) but she is actually a princess from an alien planet, hiding in disguise on Earth. She's feeling increasingly trapped in the gender and human body that confine her, but when she meets a sexy and confident girl from Metropolis she finally gets the courage to start letting her real self show. The story is simple, but it's cool to see an explicitly trans book come out from DC Comics from a trans writer and nonbinary artist.

Note
Expanding this to ragnarok, is Hel around? Is her place it’s own thing or just another kingdom in the ghost zone? Does Danny know her? I’ve always imagined the ghost zone as like a parallel planet tied to earth: if you fly up for a long time you’ll go through the ‘atmosphere’ of ectoplasm and into what’s basically outer space, for the ghost zone. And if you fly down, the ectoplasm gets denser, the ghosts more eldrich, and eventually most ghosts would either burn up or get eaten. Space time is /1
muddy, but in general the ghost zone matches earth in that if you die in Wisconsin you end up in the ghost zone surrounded by other ghosts that from the Midwest. So someone who dies on another planet... will end up in that world’s own parallel planet, astronomically far away in both dimensions. Ok NEW QUESTION what the hell happens to people who die in space? /2
*cracks knuckles* oh boy this is gonna be a long one
okay so I don't know much about norse mythology other than some bits and pieces I've picked up from a podcast I listened to and random posts on the internet, but I've googled a couple things and I think we have some interesting connections
Tumblr media
technically the ghost zone would be the norse realm of Hel, the land of the dead, ruled by Hel herself, and the ghosts-
Tumblr media
would be draugr
the ghost zone parallels the human world, but what would be interesting is if it also paralleled the other realms as well, any realm where death occurs could conceivably run alongside Hel, I don't know exactly how it works in mythology and honestly I don't have the energy to really go deep into research, but taking what we know of the ghost zone I think it would be a fair assumption to say that it could very well connect to all of the realms, and even if it doesn't, if the mcu can fuck around with mythology then so can I god damn it
but ghost space is weird and things might not space out the same as they do on the other side, and the layout of the zone in general probably shifts around, hence the portals always opening up in different places across the world despite being in fairly close proximity to each other, and I'm not even gonna get into how time works there
I also have a headcanon about ghost zone and space, it came along with my idea on how an ectoranium meteorite could end up in space, the ghost zone isn't shaped like earth, it isn't a planet and it doesn't exactly have an up and down, but it does have depths, there are places in the ghost zone that are so deep and vast that no ghost exists there, and the portals that open there open into deep space, and those portals can get enormous, and sometimes giant chunks of ectoplasmic rock get flung out
and yeah it would be very cool and very possible for there to be super big and terrifying eldritch horror ghosts chillin' out in those depths somewhere
but back on mythology, I want to draw attention to Niflheim, the world of ice, and how we have a particular section of the ghost zone that also features that particular element, I would propose that the yetis of the far frozen are beings from Niflheim, which is why they all share a common appearance, they aren't ghost zone natives, they're spirits of the dead, they're just not the spirits of humans
that being said, the ghost zone being Hel also makes it the domain of the goddess Hel, who has been locked away there, a figure of power, who has been locked away in the ghost zone for being a tyrant
sounds kinda familiar
We don't know how long ago Pariah Dark was locked away, there's no real reason not to think he was locked away at the same time as Hel herself, his queen
I don't remember the details of Thor Ragnarok so I'm not sure if this works with mcu canon, but it's fun to think about, Pariah Dark was probably her right hand man, probably acted as ruler in the ghost zone while she was on Asgard or wherever else, when she was locked away so was he, although her containment was probably a lot more secure and hidden
AND NOW WE COME TO MY FAVOURITE POINT OF INTEREST
what would Hel think of Danny, the 14 year old child who defeated her champion in single combat, who knocked the crown from his head, thus earning the right to wear it
imagine how fucking disappointed she would be freeing herself and finding her champion gone, and then finding out who he lost to
she would be very, very intrigued

⤷ DAVID/PATRICK
after hours - Patrick has been working all day, and David attempts to get his exhausted husband to go to sleep.
intimacy - "Your eyes... they're so beautiful."

How I Missed You - Patrick buys something that reminds him of David when Patrick's gone for a week, and David takes notice.
Give Me Your Hand to Hold - David and Patrick go to a local art walk in Elmdale, which leads to their first (and second and third) time holding hands.
Motivated - Patrick tries to motivate David to take a break from his latest project. He's successful, but not for the reason he hoped.
Pedal to the Metal - When Ray drops off a dusty, old bike at the store as a gift, it unearths a series of events, starting with Patrick discovering that David never learned how to ride a bike. Of course, Patrick takes it upon himself to teach David.
with my entire being - Patrick hears David singing in the shower and reflects on the unbridled amount of love he feels for David.
Pig Snorts - David accidentally reveals his horribly embarrassing tendency to snort while laughing. Patrick thinks it's cute.
tell me you want me - Alternate first kiss AU. Stevie invites David and Patrick out to the Wobbly Elm in celebration of a successful opening night. A drunken confession ensues.
Snow Truckin’ - It's David's first winter in Schitt's Creek, and the stupid snowplow driver Patrick is irritating him to no end. (Part of the SC Frozen Over Fest)

9 to 5 - David deals with a frustrating new coworker.
A Lock and Key - In place of Moira and Johnny, David and Patrick scope out MADLY's event for Single's Week. Patrick gets jealous, and David just wants scones.
Your Mariah Carey - Valentine's Day rolls around, and Patrick can't hide his feelings for his business partner any longer. Cue the secret admirer trope.
Learning to Fly - David and Patrick meet when their flight is delayed.
home sweet home - A glimpse of Patrick and David moving into the cottage.
the little things - David reflects on what love is in the context of his relationship with Patrick.
The Sound of Silence - Slowly, David adjusts to the quietness of rural life.
losing my mind (don’t leave me behind) - A canon divergence in which Patrick doesn't propose during the hike, and David later finds the rings in his hiking bag.
For Better or for Worse - Patrick tries out a new accessory, and David is not amused.
a little more warmth - 5 times someone wears David’s clothes (+2 times David wears Patrick’s)
Cat-ch Me If You Can - A cat keeps breaking into David’s house. He’s convinced this thing is doing it just to annoy him. And he’s definitely not getting attached to it. Not at all.
strawberry peach - David has an allergic reaction to the wine they sample at Herb Ertlinger's Winery.
...
⤷ ALEXIS/TWYLA
you make everything good - Twyla has to go and visit her gaggle of cousins for two weeks, and Alexis is pouty about her girlfriend leaving for so long.

Will You Accept This (Friendship) Rose? -  David is supposed to ‘get to know his sister’s girlfriend more.’ He can’t imagine he and Twyla have anything in common until they do. In other words, Twyla and David bond over their love for The Bachelor.
MULTI-CHAPTERED
⤷ DAVID/PATRICK
The Things David Does in his Sleep - Throughout their relationship, Patrick learns about the various things that David does in his sleep. (2/?)
The Things Patrick Does in his Sleep - Patrick isn't the only one who learns about what David does while he's sleeping. David also gets to know some of Patrick's sleeping habits as their relationship progresses. (3/?)
book of memories - Marcy shows David her scrapbooks of Patrick throughout the years, and it leads to David starting a scrapbook of his own. The only problem is that, aside from their wedding photos, he can't find any other photos to include. Cue Patrick taking him on a romantic, picturesque road trip perfect to add to his scrapbook. Of course, nothing goes as planned. (5/5)

Jingle Fa La La - 5 times David was forced to listen to incorrect Christmas music (+1 time he wasn't) (6/6)

Meanwhile, Rose Apothecary is struggling to stay afloat, and David Rose will do almost anything to keep it alive a bit longer, even if that involves spending time each week among splashing, screaming children. (15/15)

Nancy Drew 3x03 "The Testimony of the Executed Man"
The episode opens with audio from a podcast that has been tracking The Frozen Heart Killer. We learn from this voiceover that Nancy has agreed to bring the podcaster some evidence the Horseshoe PD has had on Joe Kelsey (some other case she is interested in?) in exchange for some information about the Frozen Heart case.
So the DrewCrew are going on a roadtrip to DetectiveCon.
Ace prepping Florence for the road trip is chef’s kiss.
“The only people that I have are from Horseshoe Bay”- Long look at Ace. Knowing glance from George who catches the long look at Ace. A small lip bite from Ace.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nancy opens the box of evidence (because of course she does). They quickly discover the box is haunted.
While looking for a phone signal, the three of them get locked inside the Nightmare Factory.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you show for giving me good slow burn moments like this to cling to to remind me you haven’t forgotten my ship….
While in the factory, they see an actual re-enactment of the murder scene from Joe Kelso. However, the re-enactment convinces Nancy that he was NOT in fact the killer. And it becomes clear that Joe does NOT want them examining the evidence. After consulting with Bess, the only way to stop the hauntings is to burn all the evidence in the box. They convince themselves that they can fake the evidence in the box before delivering it to the podcaster.
They burn the box and are released. But Ace pockets the matchbox (WHY ACE?)
At DetectiveCon, Ace starts experiencing some…symptoms. He’s hot and flushed, speaking Yiddish and sees a woman in all black and a veil. Bess tells them they have to destroy the matchbook but Ace wants to see what the ghost is trying to tell him.
Nancy gets a decent profile from the podcaster. They discover that the killer is AT DETECTIVECON! Nancy appeals to the podcaster’s sense of mystery-solving to help her catch him during her live session. They lay a trap. And it works to draw him out!
Nancy still has questions. Why was Matthew Burke’s heart missing?
The wrap up to this episode and the Joe Kelsey is really sweet, but tragic…what a well done full circle episode. The podcaster had been trying to get the Joe Kelsey box not because of her crime podcast, but for her Grandmother, who was Joe’s former lover. She knew Joe was innocent because SHE was with Joe that night but because interracial couples were illegal at that time, coming forward could have meant harm. This is why Joe had confessed to the crime.
DetectiveCon was fun! While Nancy Drew is almost unheard of here, there are the Fan Fans…A George Fan Fan club.
“I am really glad I made this trip”- Me too Nick!
Turns out, little Ted Fan was the one who had set up the Fan Fans website. Cute wrap up to this story line.
Bess and Addy
Bess’s new relationship for the season. The rebound for Odette so makes me a little nervous but they were leaning hard into how antagonistic the two were at first, almost going for the enemies to lovers trope so early that I guess I will buy it.
