6, Eris & Ikora
In the liminal space between Savathûn's carefully manicured gardens and the fetid swamps of the Disciple, a hunter and a warlock tread carefully through overgrowth, coattail and cloak drenched in the pulp of mud and detritus underfoot. Despite the sticky, unstable footing, Eris moves with lightness that Ikora has not seen since before the Hellmouth.
She realizes part of it is lack of opportunity. In the years since Eris' return they've had precious little opportunity to do Hidden field work together, Ikora usually too busy with Vanguard duties and Eris preoccupied with territory she alone could tread. To say nothing of the ever-present threat to operational security having both spymaster and spy on a mission together.
There's no risk presently, Ikora supposes, with Savathûn's body locked away and Rhulk dead at the hands of the Guardians. Roiling unease threatens to creep into her chest as she considers the power vacuum they've all had a hand in opening, but right now there is calm. Thick, pungent air and flowers unseen by any human eyes and the din of wildlife never before heard. Somewhere there is a sword, but it does not point at them today, so it's no coincidence that Eris walks with ease and Ikora can allow herself a moment to envision a world where the gift of infinite life may be turned toward matters of scholarship, not survival.
They shelter from the unrelenting light of the Throne World's three suns under a gnarled tree, Ikora sitting cross-legged on the carpet of brilliant green moss while her companion kneels to study a bug. Eris has no official training in life sciences but is a biologist insofar as learning to live among the hive and with a part-hive body, and in this case Ikora finds her hands-on knowledge more valuable than any certification. She can read between lines and see between worlds and for that reason is the best equipped to determine whether the unnamed creatures who fly and slither and creep through the wetlands traveled with the Hive from distant star systems, were invented whole-cloth from the Witch's imagination, or any number of more far-fetched possibilities posed by Hidden scientists.
They talk about similar morphologies among the insects here and on the Dreadnaught, and passing comparisons between the gargantuan serpents who writhe in the murky depths and the leviathans of Titan. Argue about the likelihood that Savathûn could manage to create life (let alone in such intricate variety) from nothingness, and what implications that would have for the understanding of the Ascendant Plane and its interactions with the material universe. The debate is spirited enough to be exciting but has enough levity to offer a welcome respite from the high-pressure work they're both accustomed to. Ikora finds herself smiling and is pleased to see the corners of Eris' lips upturned ever so slightly as they toss ideas back-and-forth, refuting and defending and conceding points.
It isn't unusual for Ikora to not quite see eye-to-eye with Eris. It's never strained their relationship, at least not seriously, but there's always been a sense that her warlock meticulousness and role as theoretician puts her forever slightly out of sync with Eris and her hunter-restless need to experience firsthand, to try first and question later. In this moment, she feels they've found a shared frequency, and more than the hazy sunlight flitting through the canopy warms her.

My love, are you the devil?
I would worship you instead of him
The sound of a brush scrubbing softly against keratin filled the Ramshackle Prefects room, The low hum of the fae prince cuts through gently, his large body hunched over on your bed, hands holding his head while you kneel before him. A small laugh leaves you as you watch his eyes slowly close, his breathing evening out, as he continues to lean forward until his forehead makes contact with your chest, and his hands slip from their place against his jaw.
You do your best to finish his horns, cleaning each ridge with precision and a gentleness to not wake up the sleeping prince, his hair still dripped with water from the shower you shared, which greatly helped in keeping all the grime soft enough to be removed easily enough.
A deep breath makes you stop for a second, your eyes on Malleus, watching as he slightly readjusts before settling into your chest once again. You can’t help but worry for his neck and back, even while your thighs ache and your knees throb in pain. No matter how soft the bedding Crewel had given you was, staying in this position for nearly half an hour was beginning to take its toll on your body.
Finishing as quickly as you could, you readjust the prince to relax in your bed, pushing him to his full length slowly as you held his head and neck, before removing yourself from his side as he shifted once again to find comfort in the plush covers and pillows.
For I'm too busy committing sins
I have no time for confession
God, you think to yourself, he really was such a beautiful creature.
“And where are you off to, child?” An amused voice finds your ears, and you can't help but jump as a chill runs down your spine, the chilly air not helping you in settling quicker. You grip the band of the duffle as your teeth grind against each other, thinking quickly, you sigh and turn around, deciding to stall him before coming up with something… believable.
“And where are you off to so late? Doesn’t Bat-Daddy have you under house arrest?” You muse, raising your eyebrows and you watch him- he's still stand-offish, tense, but the mention of his guardian makes him relax, before a realization comes to him.
“How do you know that?” He grits, teeth on display as his most prominent feature, his fangs, have you faltering for a second. Pointed ears move downwards in an unspoken sadness.
“Sebek isn’t all that quiet when you’re upset, especially when you’ve been reprimanded by both Lilia and your grandmother, Mal.” You start shifting your weight between each leg, anxiety eating at your core.
He shouldn’t be here. He isn’t allowed to be here.
The knowledge of that leaves your heart breaking, but you didn’t want to leave Malleus in trouble over some silly human who doesn't belong to this world, especially when the topic of love and relationships with him comes to mind.
He isn’t allowed to be with me.
“I see. I don't think I have the heart to reprimand him, though.” He chuckles, attempting to lighten the mood, hopeful eyes and his ears twitching up and down, before remaining in a downwards position as your sad smile reaches his eyes.
“Go. I don't want you in trouble for being here.” You point with your nose to his direction.
Go back, please.
“Can I at least know where you’re off to? I’d like you to be safe.” He’s nearly begging.
My love, you're something special
“Crewel. Late night job with one of his oldies. Nothing too bad.” You smiled, catching your eye, and he seemed satisfied with that answer.
You never seem to leave the fae prince's mind.
Your smile, your laugh, the way you get excited when you’ve learned new things about this world, the way you yawn, how your shirt seems to always expose just the right amount of skin when you stretch-
You don’t like how easily you can lie to him now.
I've never met someone like you
He cannot get enough of you. He’s a man possessed, and not even a real man to begin with in technicality, both in his race and his age amongst the fae. He wants to hold you, to mold into you, have you in his unwavering grasp and never let go.
His skin yearns for even the slightest of your touches, his lips mourn for yours once again, his eyes wish to the souls beyond to fall deep into yours- his heart can only survive with you by his side, happy, and healthy.
But he cannot give you that.
How could you make him feel this way? To love and lose, to yearn and obtain, to lust and hate. He wants to be angry, to hold his wrath to a standard of equivocated fear and respect like it usually is, but he can’t, not with you.
You'd make me fall from heaven
If only he was human. If only you were a fae. If he was a commoner or if you were of noble blood. If he was your lover and you were his.
How could a magicless human make him feel so much?
His whispers echo in a room filled with desperate pleas and calls demanding to be answered, his back hunched and cracking as scales start to make their way from under his skin, his body moving forward even more to accommodate the tail that manifests itself, Lighting crashes during the storm that rages on, and Malleus is grateful for the weather of the past week, able to hide his tantrum within the will of nature.
The room fills with smoke as he breathes heavily, unable to stop the small flames that leave him, and he gets his hips into an empty space- leaving him whimpering and choking up, before a low and deep growl follows.
But I know just what I do
Long black nails rake across the faes face as he grips at himself hard enough to draw blood, the wounds healing as quickly as they arrive, his breathing is shaky, uneven, as a low laughter leaves his throat. His eyes blow a brilliant green, nearly lighting up the room with their light alone, his horns crack and split open at the ridges slightly, exposing the game green that lights the prince's eyes.
Your name leaves his voice in desperate whispers, clawed hands dipped in ink rush down his blistering flesh, lust consuming him as he reaches down to grasp at himself, imagining your own hands being the ones to do so.
"Angel, " he calls me
It wasn’t enough.
He needed more.
Does he know that I'm falling
His lips clumsily drag themselves from your sternum, up your neck, and take your own greedily- nearly biting your lips in the process. It's sloppy, needy, and his grip is unrelenting as he tightens himself around your hips. He starts to huff with small amounts of smoke leaving his open mouth, tail and scales manifesting, his horns and eyes carrying their warm glow.
“Malleus- calm down.” You manage to get out before he's on top of you again, whining and growling, pulling at your pajamas while he nearly tears off his own clothing as well. The wind whips against the window, a sharp crack scaring you into a jump, and the small amount of bare skin that meets his own leaves him weak and fumbling.
From a precipice that I tripped off long ago?
“Malleus.” Your voice is strained, a harsh whisper, as your head is leaning back against the plush of the window seat as you desperately grip at the cushions and stone wall. He’s hunched over again, but this time, he's able to associate himself with you.
“N-no. Please just- just-” He’s stuttering and cutting himself off, unable to properly think now that he has you in his grasp. Nearly three months now. Three months of you running off and leaving him alone. Abandoning him. All because he let his affections for you slip. All because his grandmother's court didn’t approve of your relationship.
For three months.
"You're so pure, " he says
He was starving.
Does he know, I'm forsaken?
The voice of your guardian and adoptive father seems to fade into the distance as you stare out of the window, looking down upon the campus, thoughts running wild as a new soreness leaves your body aching and throbbing.
Malleus was starved.
You think to yourself, if you could keep ignoring him for this long, and go back to avoiding him at all costs, and your heart breaks at the thought. You loved him, and your relationship was small, budding, but still strong and fulfilling.
Until the bud was found and cut by his grandmother and her court, leaving you heartbroken, and you in fear for your life as you were left with a simple warning.
But now he's had his fill of you.
Stay. Away.
And you did, ignoring him best you can, occupying your time with others, dodging him at every turn. That was, until he came to you in the middle of the night, opening the window of your little reading nook in Ramshackle, and begging you to have him.
“Puppy! Are you paying attention? This is important to how we're going to handle this little… situation,” Crewel doesn’t know about last night.
No one does.
The original sinner
Maybe there's hope for the two of you to let go.
Your neck throbs as you feel his teeth sinking into you once again.
But soon you'll know
For if I'm going down
Naked in that garden
His arm remains under your pillow, the other around your waist and keeps you close to him, while both of your legs remain intertwined with one another. Marks and bites litter your body, as Malleus also bares his own from you, though you can say you were more careful of your claims on his own body.
You fear the consequences of being found, but you can’t help but indulge your lover any time he comes to you, needy and whiny for attention. You push your fears to the side, enjoying your simple and short time with the fae, slowly turning and moving to embrace him.
I guess I'll take you with me
You slowly bring yourself into waking up, eyes heavy with sleep and body sore once again, naked and warm. The cover of the duvet encases you in warmth from your own body, Malleus’ own body, cool and slowly warmed by your own, wrapped around you tightly.
You breathe in his scent, a natural smell with his usual soap and cologne, a mix that leaves you addicted and needing more of him. Your nails slowly rake up and down his back, the pale skin going pink and rising slightly, going to his back and hips, upper thigh and the bit of his shoulders you can reach.
Slowly, Malleus wakes, and simply enjoys your presence and attention.
He could only think that this is how he wants to wake up everyday.
But for now, he lives with your love in secret, until he has the power to keep you by his side as he sees fit.
Whether you still remain by choice, or not.

HELLO IM BACK FROM MY BREAK ITS ONE OF ALICE’S ANONS (in all honesty i forgot which emoji i was) ANYWAYS
i would like to request
cocolia (hsr) x reader (obviously fem) <3 angst to smut :) i give u free reign <3
NO ONE WRITES FOR HER AND IT MAKES ME SAD i just finished the trailblazer mission, I MISS HER
Hello, welcome back anon! Good to see you again <3
You have no idea how much I relate with you; truth be told that her death and unplayability is one of the main reasons I'm not playing the game (others are I don't like turn based plus I have way too many gacha games in my mantel).
I had found out what happens in beta itself and decided to save myself the pain and suffering, it feels like they repeated Signora's case. Mihoyo has something against blonde ice mommies I'm sure. Your request came at a perfect time since I was really craving to write something on her!
(18+) CONTENT MINDORS DNI
Game: Honkai Star Rail
Characters: HSR Cocolia x fem! reader (trailblazer)
Type: Smut and Angst (comfort sex, fingering, oral, scissoring, kissing, Cocolia doesn't die because we protect fine women like her <3
W.C: Uh....very long. This is pretty much a rewrite of the mission, please bear with me :(
The moment you laid your eyes on her, you were mesmerised. She appeared like a goddess, a queen— so regal, commanding, beautiful yet harbouring something....cold deep within. The moment your eyes met her violet ones, you felt a connection, an unknown feeling awakened inside you.
"Welcome, visitors from beyond the Eternal Freeze, or perhaps I should say from beyond the sky. I'm Cocolia Rand, the Supreme Guardian of Belobog. I would be grateful if you could tell me why you have come."
The enchanting woman in front of you spoke, her eyes gazing at you and your allies. You felt her look at you particularly, the same violet eyes staring deeply into you and making you entranced.
"Ahem, Y/n— answer her." March whispered to you, making you come back to your senses and blink a few times.
"Apologies, thank you for accepting us. It's surprising that you don't seem to doubt our identity."
"Hehe~ Do you want me to doubt it? Or are you not confident in it yourself? Rest assured, I don't doubt it. I can see you are not from this world and....for 700 hundred years, the Architects received no communication from the stars but I knew of your existence. Tell me why you have come."
Dan Heng took over from here and began explaining to her about the Stellaron and the Fragmentum Corrosion that plagued the planet, Cocolia listened intently and seemed slightly surprised that he summed up the planet's situation down to the exact details.
"I see....You understand our situation well but, I fail to understand why you would want to help us. Even if this Stellaron you speak of did bring about disaster, I fail to see its connection to you. I don't believe that anyone would go to such lengths to help a world unrelated to them....unless they had something to gain."
You then further explained to her and she eventually agreed to take your help, the negotiation went quite smoothly unlike your expectations but you were glad to see she seemingly trusted you.
"Very well, I'm willing to assist you in any way possible to locate the Stellaron. You must be tired now, I'll have you escorted to our most comfortable hotel to rest. Get a good night's sleep and we can discuss this matter in more detail tomorrow."
"Thank you for believing us, ma'am. We'd be glad to help restore the planet and help you live in prosperity like old times."
You spoke determinedly while looking at Cocolia, making her slightly surprised at your conviction. She gave a small smile and nodded then you turned around to go out with March and Dan Heng but suddenly heard an eerie whisper in your mind, making you stop and look back at Cocolia who was now looking out of the window and pondering.
"What was that? Why does it feel like there's someone with her, speaking to her....?"
You squinted your eyes then shook off the thought and walked out to meet up with Dan Heng and March. You were shown around the city by Gepard before finally being dropped at Goethe Hotel, you bid farewell to March and Dan Heng as they went to their respective rooms to sleep while you went to yours and rested on the bed, pondering about the day's happenings.
"It's been a long day. The Supreme Guardian was really something....so strong, commanding and....beautiful. Her voice was....really attractive too."
Your face turned redder as Cocolia continuously appeared in your mind; there was something about her that had captured your attention— the way she spoke, acted, smiled— everything was captivating you. You shook your head and turned over in bed, trying to keep your thoughts aside and sleep. You had barely closed your eyes when suddenly the same strange whispers echoed in your mind followed by a faint dream.
"Cocolia...Cocolia..." the whisper spoke.
"Wh-Who are you? What are you....?" Cocolia replied back.
"We are allies....allies of the guardians through generations."
"....What do you want?
"To rebuild....this dying world...To help you....achieve your wish."
You struggled around in bed and held onto a pillow, the dream becoming unbearable but it didn't stop yet.
"They will suffer, sacrifice and die because of my order...." Cocolia spoke.
"It is not death which greets them....They will be swept into the infancy of a new world." the whisper replied.
"What about the Underworlders? They will lose the protection of the Architects. They will see me....as a tyrant."
"You have witnessed....the world we have promised. A temporary misunderstanding....for an eternity of prosperity. We will honor....your decision."
"....I understand."
You immediately opened your eyes and sat up on the bed, gasping for breath loudly. You held your head and looked around to see it was still the middle of the night then thought back to what just happened.
"Those voices....Cocolia? And who? Who was she speaking to....? And why can I hear this....? Don't tell me....it was the Stellaron? It can't be....she didn't know what the Stellaron was. Unless....she was lying. Could the whisper I heard there be the same thing....? I need more clues....It seemed like she started talking to it at a young age, or more like it manipulated her from a young age...."
You looked at the time again then firmed your decision and stood up to walk out of the room, discreetly, without waking up March and Dan Heng. You navigated through the city to escape the gaze of the Silvermane Guards and reached the place where the Astral Express was parked.
"Himeko, Welt. I want to talk to both of you."
The two of them came out into the lounge area at your announcement, surprised to see you here all alone.
"Y/n? What happened? Why are you here alone?" Himeko questioned.
"I....I think I figured out something about the Stellaron on this planet. And I need your help, I didn't tell March and Dan Heng yet...."
"Fine, go ahead." Welt replied.
"We met the Supreme Guardian some hours ago and got her approval to let us remove the Stellaron. When I was there, I heard some....eerie whispers for a short moment and it also felt like there was someone else in the room with Cocolia but we couldn't see anything. Then later, when I tried to sleep....I had dreams. I'm not sure but it sounded like the Supreme Guardian was talking to a Stellaron."
Both Welt and Himeko were caught by surprise then pondered for a while before Himeko spoke, "Are you sure, Y/n? Did you also see something?"
"Yes, not very clearly but....it looked like her younger self, she seemed to be in pain and agony, trying to resist the voice but it kept showing her something that she couldn't refuse. It said something like....fulfilling her wish to save the planet by giving her a new world...."
"....I see. It's manipulating her by showing the world it'll make by destroying this current one, and little does she know that the Stellaron won't do anything it showed her....It's simply going to destroy everything and take over the world...." Welt spoke.
You nodded along and looked down in distress, trying to think what to do.
"I....I don't want anything bad to happen to her....Of course, I don't want the planet to suffer either but Cocolia herself too, she just wants to protect everyone and be a good Supreme Guardian and a mother...."
Himeko looked at you sympathetically then smiled softly and patted your head, "It seems we underestimated our newest member, Welt. She exceeded both Dan Heng and March already and is even showing considerable conviction~"
You blushed slightly at her compliment then Welt spoke, "So, do you have any suggestion, Y/n?"
"Uh....maybe we can try talking to her and persuading her before anything else happens. I think she started believing in the Stellaron because their own God didn't do anything for so long, the planet is still facing the Eternal Freeze and the Fragmentum Corrosion has even reached the city."
"Mhm, seems reasonable. Then Y/n, I assign you this mission— meet with the Supreme Guardian and persuade her will, with as little struggle as possible."
"W-Wait, me?! Just me?!" you exclaimed in shock.
"Yes, you. You have to do this, Y/n. You are the only the one who has seen and heard the dreams, you know it clearly unlike any of us. Not to mention, if she is already so persuaded by it then she'll likely show an aggressive nature when you reveal everything to her. If there are too many people then she might see it as an ambush."
"....Alright, I'll do my best."
You exited the train and made your way over the residence of the Supreme Guardian; naturally expecting to meet guards outside, you told them you wished to see Cocolia and they took her permission then escorted you to her chambers. Yes, it was her personal chamber and not the office you had been in earlier. You gently knocked on the door and heard a stern 'come in' then opened to go in and found Cocolia standing near the edge of the bed, wearing a sleeping gown and robe.
"My apologies for disturbing you at this hour, ma'am. I...wished to talk to you about something."
"Was it so important that you couldn't wait until our meeting tomorrow? And I see that your companions aren't here either...."
"Y-Yes, they don't know I'm here. I wanted to talk to you personally."
"Hm, interesting. And here I thought you all were faithful to each other but I suppose everyone has their secrets...."
"....Even you?"
You questioned in between making her slightly surprised then sigh and sit on the edge of the bed.
"If you wish to know, then yes, I do. I do have secrets of my own, some that even my daughter doesn't know."
"I have been wondering for some time, is Bronya your real daughter?"
"No, I adopted her some years ago. But I treat her no less than my own, she will eventually follow in my steps and take up this mantel."
"I see, that's a really kind gesture. To give a home to an orphan and groom her into such a capable adult."
Cocolia looked at you in surprise then smiled and stood up, "Forgive my manners, have a seat if you'd like. Shall I serve you something?"
"No, I'm fine. Thank you."
"Hm. Well, was this what you wanted to talk about? My personal life?"
You struggled to answer her as you hadn't really thought out the conversation in advance, but you realized you had to be careful as you couldn't just spring up the question of her alliance with the Stellaron so casually.
"If you don't find it offensive then yes, I did wish to know more about you personally. I was just curious how your life has been, serving as the Supreme Guardian and before it."
"What an intriguing outlander. If I didn't treat you as the highest guest of honor then I would have thrown you into the prison by now."
"Ah....I understand that....I know it's late and we just met, I would offer to tell you about myself too but I unfortunately don't remember anything...."
"You don't remember anything? How very strange...."
You awkwardly looked away, finding it difficult to hold the conversation and move to the important topic.
"....You know, I did wonder about something when I saw you. Why are you with the Astral Express? Why become this....trailblazer?"
"Uh, well....for one, they were the ones who found me when I had just awoken with no memories. They took me in and I have been travelling with them since, Jarilo-VI is the first planet I have visited with them."
"Hm. So....they are like family to you."
"....In a way, I guess. At least they are willing to keep me and treat me well, doing these missions for them is a way of repayment. I somewhat relate with Bronya's situation here...."
"Ah, I suppose you could be seen as an orphan indeed, adopted by the crew."
"Yes and....I won't let any harm come to them, just like how Bronya would always protect you."
Cocolia's eyes widened at that and she looked away with a distressed expression, "I can't say for how long....If she disagrees with me some day then we'll be on opposite sides."
You sensed a weakness, an opening. You cautiously walked towards her and sat beside her on the bed, looking at her with sympathy.
"Is this part of your secret from her?"
Cocolia moved her gaze towards you to be met by a worried expression, catching her off guard. Suddenly, she turned away and you heard the same eerie whisper in your head. You looked at Cocolia and moved slightly closer and heard her mumble, "I know. Just....give me time."
She then turned towards you again and you quickly moved back, resuming your old posture.
"....It is part of it indeed, a secret so grave that she might not see me as her mother anymore."
"I see.....I hope that doesn't happen, the two of you are very affectionate with each other."
"Thank you for your kind words, I hope you can stay with the crew for as long as well."
You smiled then looked around the room slightly before continuing, "So, uhm, what did you do before becoming the Supreme Guardian? I feel like you took up the post at a young age."
"I did, I took up the post as soon as I graduated from my studies. I adopted Bronya just some time after it."
"Oh, so there is a school here."
"What? Did you expect we are so down in the drain that we can't even offer proper education to our citizens?"
"N-No! I'm sorry, I didn't mean that!"
"Hmph, we have all facilities any normal functioning city would. We just have too much ice all around."
"....And the Fragmentum Corrosion."
"Yes, looks like you saw that it has made its way into the city."
"I did, that's why we need to remove the Stellaron as quickly as possible...."
You again heard whisper and saw her turn away from you; this time, you tried to focus what it was saying to her.
"You are....wasting time....Put her....away...."
"I know....I'm just looking for the right moment...."
"She will....create problems...."
"Ma'am? Are you okay?" you called out to her in the middle of the conversation and she turned towards you with a distressed look on her face, almost as if she was in constant pain.
"I'm fine. Is there more you want to talk about? Unlike you, I do need sleep to maintain my body."
"....What are these whispers that you hear?"
Cocolia was extremely shocked at your question and squinted her eyes into a glare, "What whispers are you talking about?"
"...The voice in your head, it's the Stellaron, isn't it?"
She glared even more and stood up, making you stand up as well and take a few steps away towards the door.
"Seems I underestimated you. You are much more perceptive than your companions."
"It has been talking to you since a young age, hasn't it?!"
"Silence! Do not question this further. Guards!"
She shouted and 2 Silvermane Guards immediately came inside the room with weapons.
"Put her in the prison, she is a traitor now!"
"Wait, listen to me! I know what it is and what you hear! It's controlling you! You are being brainwashed! Don't listen to it!"
You shouted as you fought with the guards, knocking them out one by one.
"The Stellaron won't save the planet! It only wants to destroy everything, it won't rebuild it the way it has shown you!"
"How dare you speak of the true God this way?! Our God has long abandoned us and this our only hope!"
"It isn't, it's going to destroy everything! Your home, your people, your daughter!"
Cocolia was suddenly taken aback and became silent before raising her arm and shouting, "I was going to wait until morning but....In the name of the Supreme Guardian, I hereby strip you of your freedom and beseech the highest degree of treason on you and your companions!"
You gritted your teeth and heard sound of fast approaching footsteps hence prepared to escape as quickly as possible.
"Please think about what I said. I promise to save you."
You ran out of the fort with hordes of guards behind you, you were soon surrounded by even more guards then heard Dan Heng and March coming towards you. They cleared a way for you and the three of you ran away together into the alley you had seen before.
"How did you both know where I was?!"
"We have been following you since you left the hotel." Dan Heng replied.
"That's right! Don't you dare abandon us and run away on your own like that ever again, Y/n!" March 7th followed in.
You eventually met up with Sampo again and followed him as he took you three away from the guards. Bronya had also caught up in the pursuit as you all reached the Underground and formed a temporary truce while looking for the Wildfire group. After you had left, Cocolia was in deep thought. The words you spoke resonated deeply with her and she pondered over her actions but the voice of the Stellaron soon plagued her again, sending her into the same torment she had been tolerating for years.
"Look what happened....she knew....It's your fault..."
"Shut up! She...she....she is right..."
"We showed you what we'll give you....you accepted it....You know the truth"
"When I finally had someone who understood me....you took them away...."
"Useless sentiments....it's your duty as the guardian to do this...."
Cocolia clenched her head then stood up, her resolution firm once again, "I know...it will all be over soon."
Upon making allies with the Wildfire group, you had been escorted to the Goethe Hotel in the Underground to rest. In the past few days, you had gathered a lot of information about the planet and Cocolia as a person. You talked to Bronya as she was the closest to her and found out more about her and how she had been ruling in recent times. All the things connected too well— she lost faith in the Preservation and started following the Stellaron as it promised a new world to her free from the disaster.
You were currently laying down on your bed at the hotel, thinking about your mission and about Cocolia. You did not want her to go down this path of ruin any longer, the times you heard her thoughts, you also sensed her pain and suffering. You could sense how much she had tried to resist it but she was only human, the continuous torment weighed on her too much. Just then, the whisper returned again and another dream flashed before you.
"I lost her....My wish, your so-called plan....What is the point of it all?" Cocolia barely spoke, her voice shaking from the constant despair she was facing.
"Your grief....sorrow....useless sentiments....abandon them all..."
"Silence! She is my daughter, my only....You soulless thing— how could you begin to fathom!? You will never understand....Never!"
"You did not lose her....She waits to be reunited with you on the other side."
"A new world...."
"Rise....guardian. Fulfill your destiny...Fulfill a mother's wish."
The voices finally stopped and you were on shaking by now, it felt too much to you. Her pain, sorrow, grief— everything was shared with you and made you scared, uncertain. How did she survive for so long with all that constant torment? How is she still carrying on her Guardian's Will? She was no frail woman but no ordinary human could tolerate such mental torture for so long.
"I need to do something quick. She's....dying, she's practically dying like this....Would she listen to Bronya? Maybe, I can try. They have ignored the Underworld for so long, now Bronya has seen it and she understands.....But, there needs to be something more concrete, she needs to be shown that the Amber Lord is still watching over them."
You had talked to Bronya soon after and explained her everything you had been experiencing, trying to make her understand how her mother had been suffering for such a long time all because she wanted to save the planet. Yet, your attempts had been in vain so far and here you were, at the battlefield of ice and snow, facing Cocolia in all her power.
You fought and struggled, trying to find a way to turn her over but her will was unshaken. The Stellaron gave her immense power, she awakened the Engine of Creation which created even more obstacles for you but you were determined. You were going to defeat the Stellaron and bring her back, there was no way you were going to leave her.
"If that thing is the Stellaron then....we need to weaken it to power her down." you thought while looking at the structure beside you that was radiating an eerie and powerful glow. You turned to face your comrades and called them near to explain your plan.
"Bronya, you said you heard the Stellaron there, right?" Bronya nodded. "Okay then, help me reach her up there and when I signal, all of you attack that structure with all your powers. You can't destroy it but we just need an opening for me."
Everyone was surprised at your proposition but agreed as they trusted your judgement, they readied themselves and assisted you as you navigated your way atop the Engine of Creation and be face to face with Cocolia again.
"You again....What a persistent little one you are."
"I promised to save you and make things right, I'm going to keep it!"
"Hmph, big words from a gullible Nameless! Only I understand that Stellaron is the true hope for this world, your name will be engraved on the foundation of the new world that the Stellaron has promised!"
She drew more of the Stellaron's power and transformed into a new form, complete with accessories made of ice and her body reflecting the galaxy. She summoned a lance and jumped at you, piercing you in the left side of your chest, very near to the heart. You gasped and were pushed back from the force but held yourself in place by holding onto the lance, she struggled and applied more force to thrust it deeper when you suddenly heard the whispers in your mind that were also in Cocolia's mind.
The whispers soon faded away and your mind went numb from the pain, you then found yourself in a place surrounded by nebulous stars, seemingly enveloped by an amber-colored destiny. A small child was in front of you who called itself the Guardian's Will, it spoke about the Supreme Guardian's duties and how it felt it had failed them since even the strongest minds could succumb to dark desires like this.
"We could not deny the will of the Stellaron after all...The Fragmentum had been expanding for the past 700 years. There is no faith nor wealth left for our successors...only despair. To see the home we vowed to preserved wither away....That in itself is torture. Not to mention the haunting whisper of temptation...." the child spoke.
"....Cocolia only did what she did to save the planet, your home. The Stellaron tormented her for awful long years, she has experienced so much pain and suffering all for the Will that she succeeded into. She felt she found a way, even if that way leads to destruction first but she saw paradise beyond it. That is why she succumbed, for her people, for humanity."
"....What are you implying, outsider? The day will come when even the strongest of wills cannot help but give in to such influence. It is only a matter of time before the Amber Lord forsakes us."
"I'm saying she needs to be guided again! She has a good heart and a strong will; she is a good mother and did her duties exceptionally all this time. You can't abandon her like this!"
"You wish to save her? You, a stranger, seek to bind your destiny to hers?"
"....I don't want to be a hero. I just want everyone to be well and happy, that includes her too."
"Hm, very well. Touch the light of the Amber, trailblazer. See if your will can attract their gaze."
You walked up to the shining fiery lance and proceeded to touch it, only to feel slightly burned by the intense heat. You remembered Cocolia's face and firmed yourself to be stronger, you were going to do this for her. You grasped the handle and pulled out the lance when you saw a faint imagery of a higher existence, the Amber Lord. At the same time, your consciousness was restored in your body and you found yourself at the same place like before.
You were tightly holding Cocolia's lance as it pierced you and she was unable to shake you off. You gasped and opened your eyes to look around then clenched her lance tighter, channeling fire through it which made Cocolia shocked and she tried to retract back but you reacted faster.
"Now! Everyone do it now!" you shouted as loudly as possible and at your command, everyone down below attacked the Stellaron with all their strength. Cocolia felt her power weaken for a few moments and held her head, that's when you established a connection with her and showed her what you had previously seen.
"Look, Cocolia! The Amber Lord! He's still there, the Will of the Preservation lives on! Don't listen to the Stellaron anymore!!"
Cocolia heard your words loud and clear, she found herself in the place you were at earlier and gazed at the Amber Lord for a brief moment. Her body trembled at its presence and she kneeled down in horror, trying to grasp the situation. However, this is as long as you had. The Stellaron repelled your allies and established its connection with Cocolia again, causing you to be pushed back with the lance still pierced in your body.
You both fell down to the platform below where everyone else was and pulled out the lance with all force you had and it soon turned into a weapon of fire; at the same time, Cocolia turned back to her normal form and was struggling very hard against the Stellaron's impending influence. Dan Heng and Bronya helped you stand up and watched as Cocolia struggled around, kneeling down and holding her head.
"Out of my way!" you shouted and ran up to Cocolia to hold her, the Stellaron was not letting her go and continued feeding its powers to her.
"The Fragmentum Corrosion will overwhelm her if this goes on!"
You thought hard and fast, time was running out. Cocolia now clenched her chest as a light started glowing around it and for the first time, she uttered her plea, her cry for help with a trembling and pained voice.
"H-H....Help....Please....I don't w-w....want to...."
You were caught by surprise then firmly held her shoulders and made your decision, this was the only way you could think of. You leaned forward and connected your lips to her, her body immediately stopping at the sudden contact. You heard gasps of surprise from behind you, not surprising but you had no time to care for them. You connected with the Stellaron that was powering her and channeled your own energy to overpower it.
"Get out! Leave her alone!"
The moment lasted for a short while, the Stellaron had left its control over her and you released the kiss. You opened your eyes and gazed into her teary yet gentle ones, clearly surprised by what you just did but she soon fainted in your arms before she could say anything. She clearly exhausted all her strength earlier but she was fine and breathing, that's all you cared about.
Your companions walked around you as you picked up Cocolia in your arms bridal style and stood up. March was blushing and covering her face in excitement, she was ready to burst out any moment. Dan Heng had his usual stern expression; Seele was grinning in a weird way while Bronya seemed embarrassment but was the first to clear her throat and speak.
"Ahem, thank you for your help, all of you....especially you, Y/n."
"N-No, it's okay....Happy to help...."
Bronya smiled, "We can keep mother at the residence then discuss what to do from now on."
You nodded then looked at Dan Heng, "We have to inform Welt and Himeko to deal with the Stellaron now."
"I know, I already did that. They'll be here soon. Now that the Stellaron is sealed, the Eternal Freeze will slowly recede. The Fragmentum won't aggressively expand anymore, but nor will it disappear. Jarilo-VI has a chance to return to life, but it will take time..."
You smiled then looked at Bronya and Seele, "I'm sure they'll handle it."
Exchanging nods of agreement, you proceeded to go to Qlipoth Fort to place Cocolia in her room and let her rest. The guards were ready to attack you but seeing you carry Cocolia that way made them retract back and wait for further orders. An eventful day finally came to an end, you went to the Underworld and explained the situation to them as discussed with Bronya until Cocolia awakens so you can further decide what to do.
It seems your expedition had come to an end, now it was in the hands of the people of Belobog to take it from here. You spent the day bidding farewell to all your companions before you finally returned to the Astral Express to continue your journey. You had wished to meet Cocolia one last time before leaving but it seems that was not quite possible, nobody knew when she would wake up and you were to leave as soon as possible.
It was the morning of next day, you woke up to find messages from Bronya telling you that Cocolia had woken up and was asking to see you. Surprised yet relieved, you informed Himeko and excused yourself to go to Qlipoth Fort since you had time, the train was scheduled to depart in the afternoon. You were escorted to Cocolia's chamber, the same one from earlier. You saw her sitting on the edge of the bed and stand up as soon you entered, the two of you looking at each other shyly.
"Uh...do sit down, Y/n. Would you like something to eat and drink?"
"Um, just a coffee is fine...."
Cocolia nodded with a smile and ordered her butler who soon served 2 cups of coffee to both of you. You sat upon the bed beside each other, finding it difficult to speak. All of a sudden, you felt nervous around her, you couldn't look her in the eye. You would feel your face heat up at her gaze and you'd stutter your words, almost appearing like a fool.
"....I heard everything from Bronya. And I do remember many things myself now that I have recovered sufficiently."
"I-I see...."
"It was all my fault....my weakness made everyone suffer so much...The people of the Underworld I neglected, my guards that I sacrificed with no remorse, the friendships I broke and....threatened my own daughter's life. I don't think I can ever forgive myself...."
You looked at her wide eyed then gently held her hand, causing her to face you. "Don't blame yourself this way, you only did what you felt was right for the planet, to save it. The Stellaron manipulated you, it's not your fault."
"....I couldn't resist it's influence. If I was strong enough and held on to the Preservation then none of this would have happened."
"Yet you tolerated the Stellaron's torment for so long, that's no ordinary feat. That shows how strong you are, for not breaking for so long. You have what it takes to bear the Guardian's Will, don't think you are undeserving."
"You...." Cocolia fumbled on her words, tears filling her eyes as she gazed at you and recalled all that you did.
"You had no reason to do all this yet you....went so far for me...."
"I...I didn't do much...."
"You did...You saved me and all of us....How can I ever repay you....?"
She came closer and cupped your face, gazing at you with love and causing you to blush.
"D-Don't worry about those things....I just wanted everyone to be well and happy, that's all. I don't want anything in return."
Tears rolled down her cheeks which she wiped away then moved her hands towards your chest, "I'm sorry for hurting you. Does it still pain? Did I leave a scar?"
You smiled then moved your shirt down slightly, exposing some of your chest to show her.
"See? Everything is fine. I don't know how but the lance didn't pierce my skin at all, or maybe it did but I healed and I didn't even realize it...."
You chuckled and she smiled in return looking at you, you had unintentionally come very close to her face. Your eyes trailed over her exquisite features, her captivating violet eyes, long lashes and rosy red lips. She too was gazing at you the same way, your lips enrapturing her as she remembered what you had done the day before.
"I-I'm sorry for....k-kissing you that way yesterday. I stepped into your personal space without permission, it's the only way I could think of to get the Stellaron away from you....."
You blurted out an apology as sincere as you could, you were still overwhelmed by her presence. She squinted her eyes then suddenly held your face firmly, looking at you with determination.
"Then, you have permission now. Do anything....even more than just a kiss."
"W-What—?!"
Your words were blocked as she crashed her lips against yours, engaging in a gentle yet passionate kiss. A softness enveloped your lips instantly, her lips moving with yours in perfect harmony, as if they were made for each other. You felt blissful, a strange yet addicting feeling engulfed you. She was slow and gentle, savoring the feeling and taste of your lips and you of hers.
Your hands settled on her waist and subconsciously pulled her closer, her body pressed against yours as she pushed you back by your shoulders, making you lean on your elbows. She was practically all over you, capturing you within herself in every way. She was already occupying your mind for days and at this moment, she had your body wrapped around herself as well.
"Aaah~ Mhmm....Y-Y/n~"
She muffled out moans of your name, her tongue swiped your lower lip and you naturally let her in, almost too eagerly in some way. The kiss became rougher as you continued, her tongue swirled with yours in exquisite rhythm. Your hands crawled around her back, sliding into the hip windows of her dress before she finally stopped and abruptly pulled away. Flushed, she straddled your waist and you quickly removed your hands from her body.
"I-I'm so-"
"Ssh~ Don't be, don't you dare be." she placed her finger on your lip, effectively stopping you from uttering the wrong phrase.
She took a moment to compose herself, breathing in and out a few times before shyly looking away.
"Are you sure you want to do this with someone like me....? Y-You know I'm not exactly considered young now, you might want someone your age. Not to mention, all the heinous things I did....I'm not really desirable."
"....I didn't think of those but....I could say the same things. You would be better with someone your age; I have no experience in this so I may not be able to satisfy you. I don't consider myself attractive either, nobody really compliments me for my looks—"
"That's not true! You are really adorable!"
Cocolia exclaimed and held your face, leaning down near you.
"I had found you cute the first time we met; I didn't express it but I really did think that."
Your eyes widened in surprise then you extended you hand towards her face, "What a coincidence. I had found you very beautiful at that time too, I didn't even think about your age. I was just...instantly captivated."
Her face flushed even more; you could look at this adorable expression all day.
"Does that mean you....liked me since then?"
"....I did. I didn't realize it back then but now I do. I really like you."
You spoke honestly, not wanting to hide your feelings any longer. You expected her to be surprised— which she was— but not for long. She instead smiled and gently pecked your lips, "....I like you too. And I want to show my gratitude for all that you did, will you let me?"
There was no need for that but you didn't deny her, you felt this was the only time you could be together like this. Nobody knew how long it would be when you'd return to this planet, and nobody knew how she would change in that time. You had yearned to hold her, feel her and if she was willing as well then there was no greater joy for you.
You both sat up and she proceeded to untie her hair, letting them freely flow before taking off your jacket and t-shirt. She caressed the same spot on your chest as before, possibly still feeling guilty about what she did. She then leaned in and placed soft kisses on the spot, feather like kisses that felt comforting and sent shivers in your body. She moved to your neck and planted more kisses, along with licking and biting at some spots.
"I'll give you a good time. Do tell me if there's something you don't like, I don't want to do something wrong that would....make you hate me." she whispered in your ear while kissing the lobe, her warm breath tickling you and making you squirm in place.
"D-Don't worry, I trust you....I won't hate you, ever."
She smiled in contentment then pushed you down before sliding off her down clothes, her ample breasts displayed in front of your eyes. She sensed your gaze was fixated on her chest, she then leaned down and laced your palms together, fingers interlocking while she initiated a passionate kiss. She seemed to be cautious, considerate that it was your first time. And possibly, she didn't want to hurt you in any form, you were the only one who still loved her this way.
Tears formed in her eyes as you kissed, she became uncontrollable now. She knew things would never be the same with her people, her daughter. She'd most likely be punished once she steps outside this room, and once everyone knew the truth then nobody would ever look up to her the same way again. She released your palms and instead held your face, her lips trembling but she didn't want to part from the kiss.
"I-I'm sorry....really sorry. And thank you....thank you very much...." she mumbled while ghosting over your lips, you felt disheartened and wrapped your arms around her to hold her close. She then started kissing you passionately again, roughly moving her lips with yours. The uncertainty and despair in her mind were reflected in her love, she was desperate and needy but also careful and gentle.
Before long, her hand slid down to your pants and slipped underneath, making you groan in surprise. She released the kiss to let you breathe, both of you panting while gazing at each other. She crawled down unbuttoned your pants and removed them, leaving you in just your underwear. Your face flushed as she stared at your naked self, but she gave an assuring smile before planting kisses on your stomach.
"You are really cute, Y/n. Your reactions are adorable and I want to see them more~"
You blushed even more and averted your gaze, too embarrassed by her words. She chuckled then gently moved your face up front again and pecking your lips.
"Don't be shy, let me look at you. I want to engrave all your expressions in my mind~"
You slowly nodded then she slid her hand under your panties, gently caressing your folds. Her face buried in your shoulder, lips right near the ear as she whispered sweet praises and encouragement while rubbing your clit. You shuddered; her fingers were slightly cold yet felt so good. Her sweet voice didn't stop mumbling at all, at some point you couldn't make out anymore what she was saying because your mind was hazy from the way her fingers moved.
She gathered your juices and thrusted in, delicately at first to let you get used to and find your sensitive spots. She kept note of your reactions profoundly, she wanted this to be perfect. The jerk of your legs and moans spilling from your lips whenever she touched that one spot gave her all the assurance, your breathing became ragged as she fastened her pace now. She inserted another finger seeing how wet you were and it gave her confidence, confidence that she was doing good.
You bit your lip as you tried to stifle your moans but she instead held it in her teeth to make you release, an indication that she wanted you to let it out as much as you wanted. The action sent you over the edge and she didn't miss that, your walls contracted on her fingers and she started thrusting faster now. Incoherent moans and gasps left your mouth and she relished those.
Cocolia was also strangely quite....motherly during the whole act. She was continuously praising you, encouraging you, telling you how adorable you were. You felt like being pampered, not that you were against it. Perhaps it was in her nature, intentionally or not. She kissed your cheeks before burying herself in your shoulder again, you clenched the bedsheet as you felt your high approaching soon.
"Cumming? Let it out, sweetheart~"
Adding that nickname was the last thing you needed, you had no restraint now. You arched back and released all over her fingers, your eyes shut tight and a loud moan echoing in the room. She smiled and gazed at your panting self before taking out her fingers, coated with your juices. What followed was something even more arousing to you— she licked all your juices from her fingers, not missing a single drop and cleaning it completely. You swear you almost came again watching that sight.
"How sweet....just like you~"
She slurred on her words; oh, how irresistible the sight was.
"Was it good? Something you didn't like or would prefer?" she questioned with sincerity. Even though it was clear how much you liked it, she wanted to be sure.
You smiled and nodded then sat up, she smiled back and was about to lean closer but you suddenly turned over and placed her on the bed instead, straddling her now. She was extremely surprised yet aroused, your eyes glinted with an insatiable desire while gazing at her. She felt like burning at your intense gaze, rubbing her legs together and face turning redder. She was likely not expecting this from you but she couldn't be more ready.
"You said you wanted to show your gratitude through this. Then....I want to show my love, and the fact that I will always support you and be there for you. I know you are feeling very distressed over what happened, you are blaming yourself too much for it all. I-I know it may seem like empty words considering I won't be here but—"
Cocolia quickly pulled you down and crashed your lips onto hers, preventing you from speaking further.
"Don't say more, don't...." you smiled then she pulled you down and hugged you, your head enveloped between her boobs while she caressed your hair.
You blushed and moved your hands to cup her breasts and knead them, soft gasps leaving her mouth. You attached your mouth to her nipple and flicked your tongue, her chest instantly heaving and back arching as she gasped out. You swirled your tongue around the hardened bud while pinching the other one, she was holding you close the whole time, almost hugging you like a baby.
You sucked on her nipple then released it with a pop, continuing to plant kisses down her stomach until you reached her core. You spread her legs making her shiver in anticipation, she was already so wet, clearly inviting you. Her scent engulfed your senses, you pecked her clit and she instantly cried out then attempted to close her legs but you held them open. You then smirked and wrapped your lips around the sensitive clit, licking long strips over it before sucking.
Her head flew back and fingers intertwined in your hair, her hips jerked up and she moaned out loudly. "Aaah~ Y-Y/n.....More....Hahn!~"
You complied and sucked on her clit harder before licking her walls and inserting your tongue inside, your thumb was playing with her bud while you scissored your tongue inside her spongy hot walls. Juices flowed down as her grip in your hair tightened, you could feel her move her hips on her own as your tongue thrusted in and out.
Cocolia cried out and moaned feverishly, messy whines accompanied by incoherent words filled the room. Her thighs enclosed around your face giving you the chance to raise her body up and go deeper with your tongue, that had her undone soon enough. She pulled you closer in and you religiously ate her out, taking a moment to look at her face which was drowned in pleasure and laced with sweat.
"Y/n! Cumming!~ I'm cumming! Aaaaaahn!~"
She released her sweet and addicting juices over your tongue and you delightedly drank them, savoring the taste. You put her legs down and gazed at her panting self, she smiled and extended her arms for you to come in and hug her, wrapping her whole body around you and holding you contently.
"You said it's your first time but that was really good, didn't seem like you were inexperienced at all." she mused, kissing your forehead.
"Really? I'm glad then."
You raised yourself up and gently kissed her lips, gazing at each other for a while before you crawled back again and settled yourself between her legs. She was confused for a moment but soon understood what you were doing as you intertwined your legs with hers, making a scissor formatting. She flushed with excitement and embarrassment, she didn't expect this from you but she would be lying if she said she didn't want this.
You came closer and slowly rubbed your clits together, an electrical feeling going through both of you. She watched you from beneath as you groaned and whined, picking up the pace and finding the right rhythm. You too watched her from above, her boobs jiggling with your thrusts and her eyes glimmering dark with hunger.
You planted your hands beside her and leaned down more before vigorously rubbing against her. You moaned in unison, your clits rolling with ease due to your juices coating one another. Her own hips began rolling upwards while her hands wrapped around your back and clenched your skin, nails digging in and leaving marks.
"Mhmmm~ Faster Y/n! M-More!~"
She shamelessly whined, her clit is hard and throbbing, wet with arousal. You could see her body tremble and how she wriggled with the tension building in her stomach. She looked like an absolute goddess, a queen, so needy for you. Her head flew back and she wailed in pleasure before biting on your shoulder to stifle her moans, you hissed as you felt her teeth sink in and suck on your skin. You were sure a bright mark would be left, not that you minded it. If anything, you wanted her to leave more such marks.
You rutted your hips faster and so did she, your cunts were wet and messy with each other's juices, she squealed and jerked up as she came all over your cunt. You wanted to continue more and take in more of her heavenly expressions but you soon approached your own release as well and came over her. Both of you crying out in pleasure together then you fell atop her and she lovingly held you close, planting soft and sweet kisses on your shoulder and face.
Sometime later, you were lying down beside each other under the sheets. Your face was nestled comfortably on her chest while she ran her fingers through your hair and hummed softly. Both of you felt at peace and were comfortable, your arm wrapped over her waist and she occasionally planted kisses on your head.
"Y/n, I wanted to tell you something."
"Yes?"
"I....I have decided to give up the position of Supreme Guardian."
You were taken by surprise and looked up at her, "Why? Are you still—"
"No, that's not it. I feel it's the right time. It's true what I did is also weighing on me and the judgement panel will likely strip it off me anyways but....I do feel I should give it now. Bronya is more than capable, she has even seen how the Underworld is and I trust in her to make Belobog prosperous again. I don't want to hide the truth of what happened, it's okay if the people end up hating me. It's their right and I deserve it. I will accept whatever punishment is bestowed upon me and wish Belobog a happy future with their new leader."
"Cocolia....are you sure?"
"I am, and you gave me the courage for it. I'm okay with this...."
You slowly nodded as you knew she has made this decision with all her heart and there likely is no other way. You thought for a moment then an idea came to you which you weren't sure of saying but firmed yourself.
"Then, I have a suggestion."
"Hm? What is it?"
"Come with me, aboard the Astral Express. Become one of us, we'll travel together and stay with each other. I'm sure the crew will listen if I insist and I know they don't hate you, they will accept you."
Her eyes widened in shock and she wasn't sure of what to say, "Y/n....I appreciate your offer but....I can't leave Bronya alone. I can't make her bear the responsibility and just leave without offering any aid...."
"You can. You just said she's more than capable. And she has many people by her side, there's Seele, Serval, Gepard, all the people of the Underworld— I know she will be able to handle."
Cocolia thought for some time then nodded, "Alright, I'll see what I can do after the judgement. Will you wait for me until then?"
You smiled, "Of course, I will. I have anyways delayed our time of departure so might as well stay a bit more~"
"Did you not inform them?"
"I did— but I didn't foresee doing this before coming here, you know?~"
You teased making her giggle and peck your lips before holding you closely again. Time came to pass and you were back at the Express and explained the situation to everyone. Welt scolded you for leaving like that without any information while Himeko calmed the situation and accepted your request. More time passed and you heard the door of the train open, a visitor coming in.
You went to check in the lobby and found none other than Cocolia standing there with a bag in her hand, she smiled looking at you then spoke.
"May I come aboard the Astral Express and travel with everyone?"
She said intently and you smiled widely then lunged into her arms, tightly hugging her with happiness.
"I wish to stay with you from now on, Y/n...." she whispered while hugging you and you happily nodded. No matter where the journey was going to go from here, you were glad to have the woman you love beside you during it.

[Project] (KH)Re:born!!!
I've been wanting to do a pinned post talking/rambling about my projects, so I'll do it now while I've still got some free time!
Anyway, for various reasons including wanting to keep it simple (for goldfish brain reasons), @amiahoshi and I decided to call this project "Katekyo Hitman Re:born!!!". We call it either Re:born!!! or KHRe for short. I also tried editing a title logo out of it some time ago (inspired from the og logo) for whenever it will be necessary!
Tumblr media
Actually, I've just been tagging posts under this project under #khre (since mid-2023) because when I type #khr, I'll immediately remember to also type #khre. Anyway, more info below! (Ein from the future: it will be long)
Note: For any typos/grammatical mistakes, sorry not sorry this is just me rambling, so no beta we die like Tsuna did every time Reborn shoots him in Daily Life Arc.
TLDR: This project has become like my creative sandbox playground. The KHR brainrot is still going VERY STRONG, and has been for the past two years. I can't believe I didn't discover this series earlier. I am so normal about KHR.
It's also inspired from T//oky//o Gh//oul's title, where it had "T//G:re". And it really just emphasizes the "Re" on "Reborn", meaning "again, do over".
In KHR, besides being named after our fave baby hitman Reborn, this concept also connects to a lot of the themes in the show, especially with Tsuna and his Dying Will Mode. Then there's also the whole Vongola 10th generation, who seem like the reincarnation or the "second coming" of the Vongola 1st generation. I'm sure there are others I haven't noticed yet or just forgot to mention here!
Anyway, KHRe is sort of a similar universe to canon, but not exactly the same. There will be additional characters, which are mostly our OCs from the Oniyanagi yakuza family for now, then there will also be modifications/additions to the story/lore as well (e.g. certain arcs/chapters will be rearranged, certain events will happen earlier). Tsuna retains his protagonist role in KHRe as well (im so fond of him), but he will also be joined in this role by the twin bosses from Oniyanagi, Kana and Kurumi.
Kana and Kurumi's addition here really puts the emphasis on the "Re", because their individual overarching stories provide more interpretations to the word itself "Reborn", which adds onto Tsuna's.
The tldr of the premise so far is that Oniyanagi and Vongola are business partners, so shortly after Tsuna met Reborn and Gokudera, the twins and Yui (their right-hand man) transferred to Namimori. This is so that they can help each other to grow and with their respective training as well to become future bosses of their Family (Tsuna doesn't want to become one of course! lol).
Along with Kana & Kurumi, three of their guardians (incldg Yui) tagged along with their move to Namimori, while two of them remained in their previous city of residence (Tokyo). In their guardian line-up, they currently have an empty seat for the Sun Guardian and they're still actively looking for the one fit for it. Perhaps they'll find them in Namimori? (Spoilers: Yes, they will. Their full line-up is here.)
So far, the major ambitious projects I have under this one are as follows:
Tumblr media
Oniyanagi Wiki: This is a wiki site I made in Miraheze. I'll put it in public mode once I finish cleaning up Kurumi's character profile. We plan on compiling all character/group/story infos here for KHRe, which will also include AUs and alternate timelines. If there will be a lot of story divergence with certain canon characters, we'll also make a page for them there too (from the top of my head, so far, it will be Tsuna, Hibari, Enma, Kyoko & Haru). This is the project I've made most progress on so far, I learned a fair amount about making wiki pages hahaha.
KHRe Webcomic: A webcomic that features KHRe's story. Just like canon, it starts with Daily Life Arc. Right now, I'm just thinking of drawing intro chapters for Kurumi, Yui and then Kana for it. But I'm also tempted to just go full-fledged webcomic retelling of majority of KHRe lol like just for deadass committing to the bit. I just really think it will help me improve my art a lot because it will force me to draw other stuff I haven't tried to seriously learn how to draw before (like have you seen the improvement in TOG Webtoon's art style??! Damn...I want that too.) KHRe also has stories that continue past KHR's final arc. I want that high school, TYL and alternate future timeline content too y'know! I think I want to finish drawing at least one chapter by Q4 2024, I'll have a lot of time to focus on this after my exam on June.
Into the Looking Glass: This is a Horror RPGMaker game in the planning stage and it features a prequel story for Kurumi's childhood (around 8-9 years old). Long story short, it does follow the classic formula of a small kid exploring a scary/creepy place by themselves. Don't worry, she will also have a companion or two here! (So...just like Ib.) The title is very much still subject to change, but I referenced Alice in Wonderland for it. Because it's Baby Kurumi (Alice) stumbling in an otherworldly place (Wonderland) and the events that take place moving forward changes her life. I already have a plot and ending(s) in mind, just need to write a script. This will take a very long time to complete, but I wanna finish it eventually because I'm also a big fan of Horror RPGMaker games and I've always wanted to make one (this is my chance! I alr have a story! Just need to write and execute it!). Here's a very old concept art of the baby! I'll draw a new updated one when I get the time (the only biggest change here will probably just be the eye pupils, which really isn't much).
Tumblr media
KHRe Test Game (no title yet): Less ambitious than previous three. This will be a very short RPGMaker Game with Tsuna as MC. This is just me testing and learning the features of RPGMaker before I go do more work for Into the Looking Glass. The game is just about Tsuna being invited to the Ninomiya Estate by Kurumi and he has a very "fun" time there 😂👍✨ (just like a normal Daily Life Arc episode~). It won't be horror, but maybe for Tsuna it will be 😀 So far, I managed to make a map for Tsuna's room (and some other parts of the Sawada Residence) for the intro scene hehe
Tumblr media
As for other projects that are less ambitious and more doable in a shorter time, I do have MV Projects for KHRe plus a few shorts (like this one) I plan on drawing them in. I listed my priorities here (along with the major projects) and will try to update when I can (ideally, at least monthly...but definitely not for June 💀).
That's all for now! THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY TED TALK!! (seriously...because this turned out so much longer than I thought it would be 🗿...I will now proceed to hide under the rock again).
Any questions are always welcome and very very appreciated! 👀✨I really just love talking about this series, OCs (mine and others') and my projects!

I wish… I wish I could be anywhere but here!
Eyes still closed, you take a shallow breath in and let the force of your air blow out your candles. Sure, you’re a little too old, you think, to be making a frivolous wish, one that only a child could believe would come true. And you knew it wouldn’t, despite the faint glimmer of hope nestled deeply inside your chest. Wouldn’t it have been better to spend your birthday wish on something more realistic, like hearing back about the job interview you had, or getting a raise like you’ve deserved for so long? If you were going to believe in magic, in tipping fate’s favour in your direction, it should be about something that’s within your control to help along, right? But fate works in mysterious ways.
You open your eyes, and the tiny bit of hope in your heart turns to coals. Nothing around you has changed. Your friends are still sitting around the table, looking at you expectantly to cut your cake. As you search for the knife, you could swear you see a flash of dark green from the corner of your eye.
“You okay?” your friend asks, and you notice your eyebrows are knit in confusion.
“Yeah, yeah, it’s, uh, just those little spots you get when you close your eyes too hard, yknow?” You make a show of blinking and force a smile to your face.
——
By the time you’re home, showered, in bed, and listening to music, you’d nearly forgotten about your wish entirely. It’s not until another voice chimes in with the song playing from your speaker. A velvety voice sings along to the words the owner seems to know, hums along to the others. You enjoy it for a moment, until you realize you’re in your room, and you live alone.
What the fuck what the fuck what the fuck? Did someone break in here to sing karaoke? At least they’re not off key… but still what the fuck??? Your thoughts cycle through in half a second, eyes still frozen ahead of you. As you move them to blink, though, you notice the same shade of green as before out of the corner of your eye.
“Did you follow me home?” you ask, dread pooling in the pit of your stomach at the thought that the voice might actually respond. Never once have you wished that you’d had an auditory hallucination more in your life. The green blob encroaching on your peripheral vision jumps.
“I-in a way, I guess?” the voice responds. “You can see me?”
“I’m trying not to, obviously,” you say, still frozen looking at the ceiling. A shiver of discomfort runs up your spine, and you know he’s looking at you. “Who are you and why are you here?” you demand, wavering voice giving you away.
“I, uh, I kind of live here?” his tone is as much of a question as it is an answer. “I’m, um, your guardian faerie. Izuku.” he tacks on his name, an afterthought.
“Bull fucking shit, you can’t live here because I live here. And guardian faerie? Get your folk tales right, it’s a guardian angel. Get, get out of my apartment before I call the cops,” you shout quietly, being careful to not alarm your neighbours. Poor choice, you think, but just in case you can resolve it yourself, or in case what this strange man is saying is true.
You finally bring yourself to look at him, rage evident on your face at having been inadvertently spied on. Gossamer wings peek out from behind his wide shoulders, the same verdant shade as his hair and eyes, you notice. The same green you saw flitting at the corner of your vision when you made your wish.
“I kind of live here because I, I keep an eye on you, so to speak? It’s hard to explain.”
“Turn around,” you request, your voice firm. This stranger, this Izuku, does as you ask, and you see dainty slashes cut in the back of his jacket to accommodate the wings sprouting from between his shoulder blades. “If what you’re saying is true, you can show me where you’re from, right?”
“I can’t not show you where I’m from,” he says, fiddling with the hem of his jacket, suddenly very interested in his feet.
“That’s a double negative. You can, then,” you conclude. “Take me there.”
Izuku grimaces, but gets up from his spot at the end of your bed. Energy pricks at your skin, the air’s charged like lightning about to strike. It picks up until the hair on your arms is standing up as the freckled man before you drags the palm of his hand down the panel of your bedroom door. He opens it unceremoniously to show you what at first looks like nothing. The closer you get, though, the more the other side comes into focus. Overlaid with your hallway, you see a forest at dusk, tinged green by the portal between you and Izuku’s home plane.
“If you go through here, I need you to stay quiet, stick by me, and don’t get noticed,” he says. He’s barely finished stating his conditions before you’re walking headfirst into the unknown realm. He jumps after you, sealing the portal back up as quickly as he can.
Your stomach lurches, and you wonder how Izuku manages to go between worlds so effortlessly, but you’re soothed as the prickling energy dies down. It should come with a warning, though. May cause vertigo, not recommended for children under the age of 12 or anyone human at all, Jesus… you think as you blink hard to try to regain your balance. It has the opposite effect though, as you find yourself tumbling into another creature. A blond man with a knowing smile looks down at you.
“S-sorry, new here, first day,” you mumble as you shake your head and duck behind some trees in the way you came. Izuku couldn’t have gone far, right? He came through after you, unless he left you here and took your apartment for himself. But he said to stick by him? At least that’s what you think you heard, you didn’t stay long enough to process what he was saying.
“Aoyama! Good to see you!” Izuku says. Diverting Aoyama’s attention to him should keep him from seeing you, and should also let you know where he is, he thinks. You catch on quickly, and crouch down, low enough to not be seen through the bushes between trees. Seconds creep by like minutes until you spot Izuku’s red shoes like a beacon and tug on his pants to let him know you’re here.
“Midoriya! It’s been so long, have you gotten tired of your mortal girl? You’ve been there quite a while, even took up their style of dress? Tres fashionable, my friend,” Aoyama takes the greeting as an invitation to catch up.
“No, uh, no not yet,” Izuku laughs sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’ve got some urgent business, catch up later?”
“Of course, of course. I won’t keep you.” Aoyama waves, and you get the feeling that he looks to the grass, exactly where you’re on your hands and knees, holding your breath. But you must be imagining it, right?
“That was fucking close,” Izuku says under his breath. “You didn’t let him see you, right?”
You weigh your options for the briefest of moments, before shaking your head side to side.
“Good. It’s lucky it was a friend, though, it could have been way worse,” he says and you breathe a sigh of relief.
“What is this place?” you ask.
“This,” Izuku gestures broadly to the forest around him as you stand up, faint lights of a city in the trees glistening in the distance. “This is Fae. You’ve heard fairy tales before, right? Well here, they’re history. Everything has to come from somewhere. Somewhere where there’s a kernel of truth to everything.”
“Where there’s a kernel of truth to everything? Oh, so what they say about the fae, in my world, it’s true? You can’t lie?”
“Nope. We have to be very careful with our words.”
“Try telling me you’re a purple octopus,” you challenge.
“I-, I’m-,” he tries to start as you giggle. “Oh, stop it, you know I can’t!” He feels his cheeks heat up, and he’s never felt more glad that you’re warming up to him enough to joke around.
“Do you let all the girls you bring to the forest tease you?” you chuckle.
“I haven’t brought anyone back here before,” he says. There’s been no one but you, he thinks, and it’s on the tip of his tongue, but he knows as much as anyone from his world that you shouldn’t let the whole truth go at once. “I shouldn’t have brought you here, it’s dangerous. You’re not supposed to be here, who knows what’ll happen if they find you.”
“If who finds me?” you ask.
“Let’s hope you don’t find out,” he says gravely.
You roll your eyes and turn to make off towards the glittering lanterns in the distance, but a large, scarred hand catches your wrist and for the second time tonight you’re frozen in place by the strange man claiming to be your guardian faerie.
“I’m not kidding, don’t go off on your own. Stay with me. We’ll go anywhere you want, I promise, but I need you to stay with me.” His skin is warm wrapped around yours, and in such close proximity you notice more about him.
Lightly tanned skin, more freckles than you noticed before, his eyes are like a reflection of the forest itself. It’s as if you’re looking at him in high definition, like every human feature he has is amplified and more beautiful than you could’ve put together in your imagination. He’s tall, too. Tall enough you have to tilt your neck back to look him in the eye from this angle. If you were to look head on, though, you’d see the muscle his jacket hides being hinted at by the t-shirt that’s just tight enough across his chest.
“Okay, fine,” you nod, increasingly aware of how close his face is, if only a fair few inches above yours.
“That’s a good girl,” Izuku says. His eyes immediately go wide, and he hopes you don’t recognize where he got that from. Instead, you look down quickly and go quiet. “I, uh, f-forget I said anything, sorry. Wh-where do you want to go?”
You clear your throat. “I want to see the lights,” you decide.
“We’ll have to stay toward the outskirts, but we can do that. The city’s all done up right now, you know. It’s real pretty.”
—-
It doesn’t feel like long, but maybe time passes differently here, you think. The full moon shines brightly above you and you guess it must be past midnight when you arrive near the city gates. You’ve never seen such a beautiful sight in your life, it’s like something that was plucked straight from your childhood daydreams. From your vantage point in the distance, you see elaborate wooden buildings with thatched roofs with moss creeping up the side walls. A circle of stones stands in what you can only imagine is the town square towards the gate. And in the background, sprawling over the city, letting its leaves seemingly touch the sky as well as its citizens, is the most grand willow tree. Paper lanterns adorn the post beside every door, a peculiar yet familiar series of dots poked into each one, letting the light shine through.
“What are those?” you ask, pointing to the lanterns.
“The stars on them? It’s the constellation Perseus. It’s named after an old, old hero from your world. You know, we share the sky,” Izuku explains. “If you think of it like this, there’s an infinite number of worlds, right? Thin as paper, sandwiched one on top of the other between nothingness and the sky. The void is infinite, and so are we. It has a way of making you feel alone but comforted, doesn’t it?”
“That might just be you,” you say, and you’re not sure whether you mean it’s only him that feels comforted, or it’s only him that’s comforting you. “A-anyway, you said there’s a festival, right? What does that have to do with a hero from my world?”
“Right! Every year around this time, there’s falling stars. I, I think you call them a meteor shower? Which sounds like stars taking a bath, but that doesn’t matter. When you watch them, it looks like they’re coming right out of the constellation, so they’re called the Perseids. Did you, uh, want to see them? I know somewhere we won’t run into anyone else,” Izuku offers.
“Yeah, I’d really like that,” you smile, and you think to yourself that just maybe your birthday wish is coming true after all. The coal of hope inside your chest fans into an ember as Izuku takes your hand to guide you to a secluded meadow about fifteen minutes away from the city.
“I used to come here as a kid when I wanted away from everything,” he says, letting go of your hand to balance himself. “Watch your step, the trail gets kind of rocky here.”
The words are barely out of his mouth when a rock slips under your foot, tripping you, and sending you flying into Izuku’s back. You tumble the remaining twenty feet or so, landing in the clearing, and let out a sigh of relief as you feel you’re on solid ground. Hanging your head, you move to get up and find where Izuku ended up.
“This, uh, this isn’t what it looks like, right?” Izuku’s voice comes from underneath you. To your surprise, what you thought was firm ground was muscle.
“I, I uh, it’s not, it’s not!” you exclaim, holding your hands where he can see them. It’s a shame, though, that you don’t quite have your balance, you think, as you fall face first onto his chest.
“You’re not making a good case for yourself, y’know,” he laughs, easing the tension. “If, if you wanted me that badly, you could’ve just said,” he teases.
“I don’t, I swear!” you protest, your ember glowing bigger.
“Are you lying to me, human?” He’s not sure he’s teasing this time. You swallow, your eyes meeting his.
“I, I am.”
With a boost of confidence, Izuku leans up to capture your lips with his own. He’s tender, his soft lips moving gently against yours as you reciprocate the kiss.
“I have to know, though. How long have you been ‘kind of living’ in my apartment?”
Izuku’s face flushes. “It’s been more than a few months. Can, can I explain more later? I’ve wanted to do this since I set eyes on you, I want to treat you properly. Anything you want to know, the answers are yours, I promise. Let me show you what you deserve.”
You nod, and he takes the permission to take your face in his hand. His kiss is more fervent now. A bonfire graces your chest with its presence. It feels like forever and yet not long enough before you break the kiss for a breath. You smile and put your hand over his, turning your head to press a soft kiss to the pads of his fingers. His breath hitches, making you smile wider.
“Y’know, I could get used to you being around,” you murmur to him.
“I want to be around, I want you to see me around,” he whispers back.
Izuku’s strong arms wrap around you, pulling you close to his chest. He rolls with you, his wings unfurling to cast a peridot haze over you with the moonlight. Kisses trail down your neck, to your chest, as one of Izuku’s hands holds your waist, the other keeping his balance. Through your clothing, he nips at your breast, then your other one.
“You’re beautiful,” he breathes. He lifts the hem of your dress up just enough to pepper gentle kisses on your skin, the light touch making you squirm. “Ticklish, or eager?” he asks.
“Both,” you confess. His fingers toy at the elastic of your panties. “If you’re going to take them off, then take them off,” you tell him.
“Maybe I won’t now,” he smirks. “Maybe you’re going to have to earn that privilege.”
“H-how-?” your question is cut off by Izuku’s wandering hand easing your breast from the confines of your dress and latching his lips around your nipple. The swirl of his tongue and the light scrape of his teeth have you clenching around nothing, and you could swear there are double the stars in the sky above you.
“C-can you do that, but, ah, d-down…” you trail off, embarrassed by the idea of saying what exactly you want out loud.
“Between your legs? Of course, bunny, anything to make you feel good,” Izuku smiles and presses the softest of kisses to your forehead. “You just have to say the magic word.”
“P-please, can you?”
“That’s my girl,” he beams.
His deft fingers work their way under your waistband, taking his time as Izuku slides your panties down your thighs, over one ankle, and then the other before they’re laying forgotten in the grass somewhere. He shuffles himself down as gracefully as one can manage in the dark of night until his head rests on the plushness of your inner thigh.
Your folds glisten silver in the reflection of the moon, the light of it making you look as though you’re glowing from inside. Izuku licks a soft strip from your opening to your clit, relishing the taste of your essence he’s been dying to have for many, many months. And like with a fine meal, once he’s had a taste, there’s no stopping him.
Your whole body shudders as he teases his way around in circles, getting close to your sensitive bud but never quite touching it. A loud whimper is torn from your throat when he finally flicks his tongue up across it. Primal and hungry, it’s purely human, and music to his ears. He darts his tongue into you to give you a brief respite before latching around your clit, alternating between suckling light pressure and giving you broad strokes with his tongue flattened.
“Don’t stop, don’t stop, don’t stop, please, ‘Zuku!” you cry out, and he knows you’re a hair’s breadth away from the edge. He pulls back, forcing your body to calm back down.
“Wh-what’d you do that for?” you can’t stop the pout on your face from forming.
“Trust me, okay? It’s gonna feel even better around my cock. Wanna make you feel so good, bunny. Doesn’t my pretty girl wanna feel good?”
You nod, hellbent on being good for him, and he smiles, the wetness of your arousal glistening around his mouth. Izuku leans down and kisses you once more, this time you taste yourself on his tongue.
“When you feel like you’re ready, let me know, okay? I have to prep you a little first, I don’t want to hurt you.” He peppers kisses along your cheek, and you look away, but smile and nod. “Getting shy on me?” he chuckles. You start to shake your head, but nod instead. “You’re cute, you know that?”
“‘M ready, is what I am,” you counter. The white hot feeling in your abdomen has subsided, although the fire in your chest is hotter than the core of any star you’ve ever seen.
“You sure?”
“Mhm, I’m ready for you ‘Zuku.”
Izuku presses one last soft peck to your lips before repositioning his face between your legs once more, this time with his fingers circling your entrance, ready to take the plunge.
“It’s going to stretch a little, okay?”
“‘Kay.”
With his tongue flat, he licks your clit with very little pressure, just enough to distract you from the intrusion of one of his fingers. The stretch isn’t as bad as you’d expected, and he finds your little bundle of nerves without any issue. When he adds a second finger, though, you inhale sharply.
“Look at me, princess. You’re doing so well for me, so well. Taking my fingers so well. So good, princess,” he says between kisses to your mound. You mewl at the praise, you’d do anything to hear it again.
“‘Nother one, gimme a-another one, please.”
He scissors his two fingers inside you, stretching you until he’s sure you can take a third. Slowly, he withdraws his fingers, and slower still he pushes three back inside, being sure to suckle and flick his tongue quickly around your clit to keep you from clenching too tightly around them. You adjust quicker than he expects, something he’s thankful for. His cock is getting too hard to ignore, straining at his pants as it is.
“Ready, bunny?” He waits as patiently as he can for you to nod before he pulls his fingers out. Fumbling with his pants seems to take an eternity to him, and he curses mortal fashion for putting aesthetics over functionality.
“Let me,” you say quietly. You reach out, and with a swift motion you have his pants undone, threatening to fall down his waist.
“Thank you. Such a good girl for me, you are. So helpful,” he showers you in praise.
He takes a moment to memorize every inch of your face, the curve of your hips, the soft texture of your skin underneath him as he lines himself up to sink himself into you. You gasp softly as he slowly pushes his tip past your ring of muscle, and you’re so glad you let him stretch you for as long as he did. He feels big, big enough you’d have tapped out if he hadn’t.
You feel a vein slide against your velvet walls in the most delicious way, and you clench around his thick girth.
“‘M not even in all the way, bunny,” he breathes out a chuckle. Forever and a day seems to pass by before he’s sunk himself into you to the hilt. “Say the word an’ I’ll start moving,” he says, dizzy already from how tight and sweet you are.
“P-please, ‘Zuku,” you beg, “feel like I’m gonna explode if you don’t move,” you whimper. Izuku has never been one to deny you anything. Any little push of fate, anything he can help you and get away with, he has. Hell, his intervention is the long ago catalyst to your tryst, but he’ll tell you about it later, he thinks. Until then, all he wants to think about is how right it feels to have your legs wrapped around him, to have you to himself so intimately.
His thrusts are slow and deep, and when you close your eyes, you see shooting stars more clearly than you can with the meteor shower going on above you. You rock your hips into his, desperately pushing your lips to his neck, kissing every free inch of skin you can get your lips on.
“Close?” asks Izuku.
“Y-yeah, ‘m t-too close,” you whimper. He ensnares you in a searing kiss.
“Go ahead, princess, cum for me,” he murmurs against your lips. With a whine, you’re gripping him inside and out, like you’ll never let him go. Your eyes squeezed shut as he rips the orgasm from your body. “S-such a good girl, good princess, so good, g-good,” Izuku babbles as he tumbles off the edge, releasing thick ropes of sticky white inside you. His damp curls stick to his forehead as he rests his head against yours. You settle your hand in his hair and pull his head down just a little bit further to press a kiss to his lips.
“L-look, there’s so many of them,” you say, looking just behind his head to the night sky. If you didn’t know better, you’d say dozens of stars were falling from the sky just for the two of you. Izuku leans on his forearm, letting himself fall to the side and pulling you in close to him.
“You’re like my own little star who’s come to the ground,” he says quietly, kissing your temple.
“Is, is this all because of my wish earlier? Do you think?” you ask.
“I can’t be sure, but I think so.”
“Whether it is or not, this is the most I’ve felt alive in as long as I can remember,” you confess. The sun itself can’t rival what was once an ember in your chest threatening to go out. “I hope no matter what plane, I don’t have to be without you again.” Izuku pulls you closer in his arms, admiring you as you look from him to the sky once again.
“I hope so too, bunny. I hope so too.”

Fic Idea Time!
Okay guys, so I have an idea that's been bouncing in my mind for a week and I want to know your thoughts. It would be an actual 20 chapter fic so I'm not sure if I'll be able to commit fully to it, but I mean...even just talking about it seems like fun. So here's the basic concept:
No beta, I die like the idiot I am
You couldn't believe it...and yet at the same time it was exactly the type of shit that Crowley would do. You stared at the demons before you, wondering exactly how you came to have such an interesting, yet annoying life. "So you're telling me...I was signed up against my will for an exchange program, and now I'm stuck here for a year?" You asked, feeling the annoyance coming through in waves. "I wasn't aware it was against your will, I offer my apologies." The head honcho demon, Diavolo, said with a sympathetic smile, "However the contract has already been sealed. Though I will say, we weren't expecting to have two students from your school." "Hey! Watch it, I'm The Powerful and Mighty Grim, future best wizard in the world!" Grim said, standing proudly. Lucifer looked annoyed that Grim would speak out of terms when you spoke up. "Well if the contract was for a single student, then technically this is correct. Grim and I are enrolled at Night Raven as a single student since I can't use magic." You explained with a sigh. Oh how annoying to have to explain all of this, not to mention you doubted they'd want a student who couldn't use magic and has a monster cat as a best friend. "You can't use blot magic, well that's fine." Diavolo laughed, "We don't use blot magic in the Devildom, so you'll be fine." You and Grim looked at one another confused, "Blot Magic?" You both said in unison. "Let me explain, since it's not common knowledge even in the human realm. There's different types of magic. Blot magic is the one you're accustomed to, which can only be harnessed by certain people." Lucifer said, "Here we use demonic magic, a different class of magic that doesn't accumulate blot, but takes something else entirely." "And what does it take?" You couldn't help but feel that small sliver of hope that you might be capable of using magic. "That's for you to find out during the exchange program." Lucifer's cold smile bore into you and you felt a shiver run down your spine. Well...guess you had some motivation for staying in the Devildom. Besides...perhaps they knew a way to get you home?
Well there you have it, a small blurb of the idea. Basically Crowley is given a notice about an exchange program and forges MC's signature (Aka the Reader), and MC and Grim are sent to the Devildom at the exchange students for an entire year. The ideas I have for the AU are the following:
Different types of magic, Blot Magic and Demonic Magic. Demonic Magic has a special way to harness that is revealed later in the story.
Pacts and their markings work differently in this AU for MC.
MC has a background due to plot relevance, but will be kept as vague as I can.
Possible romance, but not locked in. There wouldn't be any romance between the brother's at least. It would be at the end of the story where it deviates to different romantic routes for the Twisted cast.
MC can't contact their friends at the college while they're in the Devildom.
Briar Valley and the Devildom have some connections. The Fae and Demons often mingle.
Solomon is a mentor figure for MC throughout the entire story, meanwhile Luke is MC's newly appointed (self appointed) guardian angel.
There's now a reason MC ended up in Twisted Wonderland, and it's revealed late into the story.
Grim still has amnesia but bits of his AU backstory is slowly revealed throughout the story.
If anyone has any ideas though, I'd be happy to hear it. I haven't begun outlining things just yet, but I am compiling ideas slowly and would love to hear feedback from you guys. I have the basic plot in my head though, but like differences for AU's like...please gimme thoughts. Drop into my ask box. I will add them to the growing list of ideas. If I get enough feedback it might motivate me to start on this project.

> BORZOI: READ HOMESTUCK LIKE ITS 2011 (PART 5)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We pick back up after [S] END OF ACT 6 INTERMISSION 1 (page 4390) with a fucking spectacular music number (Infinity mechanism - Thomas ferkol). I'm such a big fan of the beat that comes in when we get to see Jane looking out her window, you have no idea. Also I didn't cover the intermission because i didn't say much. I appreciate and love the beta kids and trolls but I just have more gears turning where the alpha kids are involved because they're not so clear cut and dry emotional wise as the betas. I'm pretty sure greater analysers than me have said all there needs to be said for the beta kids. All I have to add is this piece of dialog from 4359 that I liked:
KARKAT: ALRIGHT IF YOU'RE REALLY GOING TO GO KARKAT: JUST KARKAT: BE CAREFUL KARKAT: NO MORE POINTLESS BLOODSHED, OK? THAT'S AN ORDER! KARKAT: WAIT FUCK KARKAT: I'M NOT LEADER ANYMORE KARKAT: ROSE CAN YOU ORDER HER TO DO THAT? KARKAT: SAY WHAT I JUST SAID, REALLY ANGRILY KARKAT: ASSUMING YOU CAN EVEN BE ANGRY. ROSE: ...
I really love how clingy Karkat but also accepting of his friends decisions goes. It's one of his great points as a knight of blood, but it also leads to some pretty funny turnabouts as he contradicts himself and fights himself on it.
4394 GIRL LOOK OUT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4397 (call back to page 4107) Oh wait I've seen this before. That's neat.
4400: Get this shit outta the way. You're a busy bureaucrat. The clock is ticking, and time is dead kids.
Dead kids you say?
4405 Well dead kids it is. These scenes.. when i read these scenes.. with such shitty sketch lines.. in my mind I hear Buy Somethin Will Ya? from the Earthbound OST. Or Hi Hi Hi (Theme of Saturn Valley).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You should be pleased to know those nuts were super deadly! Though to be fair he doesn't know if he died from the poison, or just choked on a bunch of barely chewed peanut bits. You know what else is super deadly, you say? Knives. Sharp deadly knives you stick in people's soft torsos to make them bleed until they die.
He doesn't have anything to say to that.
Dude i love this guy like deadass him and his whimsical hats and umbrellas and whatnot. I think he's my fav besides DD.
4408
Tumblr media
Lifey thing..
4413 IVE SEEN THIS BEFORE. HOLY SHIT!!(3220)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
4419 I really like parallels in homestuck. They make the world go round, you could say, because you read things and dont feel as lost because in a way it's strikingly familiar! Which is what happens here.
4422 Oh hunny.. nobody understands how whimsical. Jane crocker is to me. Look at her. ooo. That's a face. :o. õoô She is the whimsy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nobody takes into account how many batshit things Jane sees and she hits them all with the ,':| ....
You guess you should feel grateful toward him for saving your life, but you know he's just as likely to rescue you from an explosion as he is to randomly teleport you across town, forcing you to call your dad and ask for a ride home, while you spend all day standing in some random field in the pouring rain while you wait hours for your dad to come and pick you up after he gets lost because he plugged the wrong place into google maps.
I really like the small bits of background we get about Jane too. Like this! Its such a nice scene. But it seems.. that uh oh! Guardian jumpscare.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He tells you to get inside this instant.
Goddamn. Now where have i seen this before.. 4430 referencing 212.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Except in this case, it's no case of magical happenstance gone awry with a server player losing internet, but a dad being.. a *tad* more serious than given with how you're so totally grounded. No wonder Jane is so stubborn!
As long as you just got done paying the piper, you might as well get busy eating all this goddamn crow. Oh so much of the stuff has gathered on your plate.
Eating the crow:  to admit that one was wrong or accept that one has been defeated.
paying the piper: bear the consequences of an action or activity that one has enjoyed.
These sayings are sooo cool too. Like I've never heard anyone use them but they're really neat!

I do have to say that anon who soeculated on Dirk’s role does have a good idea for where the plot may be going and the setup for Dirk’s ultimate session, although I never considered the horrorterror session, generally because I have a hard tike taking it seriously. What’s notable as well is apparently it was 48 players that made the 48 zodiac signs of Alternia, but that got retconned to 288 signs of Hiveswap. What I think Dirk is doing is two-fold.
1. Dirk states in the epilogues this is being done to maintain the existence of their Universe. Homestuck is shoulder-deep in metatextual fuckery so of course the characters treat the in-universe existence of canon as real and like a story they exist in. If the story ends, the characters will decay away into unobserved, undefined, and untended void of irrelevance. Without us, the audience to pay attention to the narrative and characters of Homestuck, Homestuck doesn’t exist. Of course, narratives need conflict, and Dirk makes a new session to run a new overarching story that keeps Dirk and Rose in focus, and in a sense the cast alive. It could have gone a lot of different ways but Dirk is better at abrupt action than long term planning, the real plan comes from the second reason.
Earth C is the Cherub’s birth planet. Billions of years after Earth is ruined, a cherub will lay the egg of Caliborn and Calliope inland a ruined field somewhere on the dead planet, with only communications via a radio tower that transcends the narrative… Hussie’s IP server!
Of course, the earth now orbits a red giant with all the water evaporated and food wasted, so they are cared for by Gamzee who got sucked into the black hole caused by Lord Jack’s big-ass head implosion in [S] collide, giving that version of Jack his one true purpose: to die and transport the cherubim guardian to the right place.
Now the next requirement for Earth C to house the Cherubs is all the immortal Gods to be gone. Inevitably over the course of 3-4 billion years the beta and alpha kids, Kanaya, and Calliope are going to have to leave Earth C and never come back. Something happened for them to be gone. The cause doesn’t matter, only the effect is destiny. Dirk was nesting the Cherubs, he just had to pull their biggest threat off the Earth.
One final addendum, I don’t know what Dirk’s successful species is gonna be, and if the HICU will actually let the species exist and build the new sburb session or fakeout kill them in classic Hussie trolling style. What matters is Dirk gave the species a name: Sartyr, amd looking at sillhouettes it looks to be a bipedal anthromorph, much less a squid creature. I don’t think the HICU has the balls to do the horrorterror session.
They don’t have to, they heavily implied Dirk is dating Rosebot and fans on r/homestuck avoided the topic to talk about how good the art is and how the update is finally getting the ball rolling and how the sequel writing is finally good, stuff we’ve all heard before. The HICU posted another 12 pages of a monthly update where something almost happened and fans ate it up. This is Homestuck now. Where something almost happens, and then we wait a month for something to almost happen again.
That really seems to be the case. Before under Hussie and Whatpumpkin, the bad art and story were noticeable within each update. It's been routed in our brains that every update would be this. James Roach and HICU took advantage of it by getting to focus on the pretty art first before the story because most of us would skim through the text. Nobody would actually pick up on what it is going on until they read it 3-6 more times to let it sink in. It was like this before for many new readers of Homestuck. Most would look at the pretty picture or flash and less reading on the text. Vox's Let's Read at least makes it accessible for those who struggle reading, but even they don't update frequently and are at a certain stopping point where others need to go to the webcomic to continue. And I think a person watching the LR Homestuck and having to go back to the webcomic during ACT 6, is probably not a good experience for those entering the series. It's funny back in MSPA Forums, talks of incest was banned despite the themes of said incest being a common thing in Homestuck. And it was TOBY FOX who made The Baby Is You to troll at the mods that tried to cease the topic of incest. People may have known Toby Fox wrote some crazy funny m-preg song and it got relevance again thanks to a modern Pokemon game, but I don't think people actually knew the context and history behind on WHY he made it in the first place. And now we got people too scared to speak about it openly.

your takes are so interestin g to read...... how about jade ??
thank you its the autism :-P
JADE!!!!!! JADE THE GIRL THE MYTH THE LEGEND HERSELF HARLEY!!!! I LOVE HER!!!! dont tell anyone i said this but she might be my favorite beta kid.... she is paid so little attention its insane because shes just so cool!!! starting off with the fact that she lives in an island with ruins she likes to explore..... she has a radioactive guardian dog....... her weapon is a HUNTING RIFLE !!!!! at first she seems so cool and silly and she IS..... but if you look at her closely she might be the loneliest beta kid. i mean her grandpa died & she was raised by her dog!! she is so so selfless (as seen when she pushed dream june out of the way so she wouldnt die... also she slept so much because she wanted to check on her when/if she woke up!!! and never got to see it.....) and she knew about sburb and about the fact that she would meet her friends long before that happened !!! shes still so mysterious but in a cool way ykn,, and shes also probably pen pals with jake ((like the letter june got at the end of act 4, that mysterious pen pal is soooo totally jake i KNOW he is)) which breaks a lot of physics rules.... honestly no one is doing it like jade harley i cant wait for more jade-centric pages i miss her!!!
shes such a cool character she breaks like. every rule we thought was stablished ((her human guardian is dead, she was more aware of the game than anyone else, by the time the session started her dream self was very awake, she seems to be the one that got the most trolls before the session started....)) and that alone tells you how unique she is

16. for Sav & Immaru bc I'm starving for content with them ._.
Things you said . . . when we were afraid
Gentle blue swept the Throne World as the last of its three suns dipped below rocky horizons. In the Queen's chambers, curtains were drawn and crystals extinguished as her servants finished their duties before bidding her goodnight. Only the soft rainbow flicker of moths illuminated the darkness.
Savathûn reclined on a divan, wings tucked under herself, hands clasped together on her chest, legs crossed at the ankles, not quite relaxing. Immaru lay nestled in the bony grooves of her collar, where chitin met soft musculature, and where shell was thin enough to hear internal processes. How curious that he'd lived for a millennium without hearing a human heartbeat, and now he rested atop the strange beat of an open circulatory system.
For awhile they both laid silently, though neither felt sleep approaching.
"Promise me you won't go into the bog," Savathûn finally spoke. "I know you like to explore and I trust you can take care of yourself. But what's out there . . ."
The pleasant burr of her voice strained into a fearful quaver.
Everyone knew someone who'd gone out looking for their Lightbearer and never returned. Everyone had heard the stories of murdered and mutilated Ghosts littering the wet forest floors. Fear gripped him, but he couldn't bear to be weak in front of his Guardian. He bristled instead. Tried to reassure as best he could, though it was a new role to him. He had spent so long trying to be feared that he struggled to comfort.
"I survived the Dark Ages with a target on my back. You don't gotta worry about me."
"Darling, you aren't dealing with the petty cruelties of humans." Savathûn slid her fingers between the tines of his shell, picking him up like porcelain that risked shattering in her hands with even the slightest pressure. "You are looking after two souls, now. If it gets a hold of you, not even I'll be able to save you . . . and I won't be able to save myself, either."
Twitching his tines, he stopped avoiding her eyes and locked his gaze on hers'. He hadn't gotten used to being partnered to a Guardian, to looking out for a life beside his own. Nor had he become accustomed to hive expressions, but sensed desperation from the knit of her chitinous brows, from the glimmer in her three aqua eyes.
"I . . . I promise, Sav."
She put him back where he'd laid without taking her hands off. He fell asleep to the sound of her pulse, alien to all except him.

Healing of the Ocean
It's bittersweet and healing when Yona takes the Sheikah tech away.
Onshot. Yona-centric. 1,800 words. Rated E for everybody. Not betaed, we die like men
---
The Eastern cliffs of Hyrule rose even higher than Yuna remembered, jutting straight upward hundreds of feet.  She found it so strange and wonderful that the Zora of Hyrule could remove themselves so thoroughly from the ocean.  It seemed they enjoyed their rivers and lakes, their water so bright and airy compared to her own home on the ocean floor.  Her memories of visiting Zora's domain as a child were of sweeping arches and walkways that glowed a lovely blue and seemed to defy gravity.
Such a different way to live!  The world certainly was full of marvels, and she was lucky enough to behold a small fraction of them.
Their navigator swept their ship south, and Yona watched as the cliffs gradually lowered and flattened until they were finally able to turn in at a bay.  A pair of Hylian lookouts caught sight of them at the bay's mouth, waving their arms in greeting before remembering to switch to a large flag to wave them in.  Yona laughed and waved back, as did the rest of her delegation.  Their first look at the good people they had come to aid.
Although the dock was clearly hastily made, it bustled with activity.  The Hyruleans had seemed to have no idea of the size or construction of the Zora ships--the long, cutting catamarans, the wide flat deck with holes to drop down into the water for a swim, or the tiered layers of wide, short sails.  But their engineers had clearly paid close attention to the designs that were sent to them, and the dock suited perfectly.  Behind the dock, the beach quickly turned into a stretch of flat grassland on which they were gathering the machines.  The long legs of squid-like guardians dangled out of the back of horse-drawn carts.  Piles of toppled turrets.  Great, curved sheets of mesh.  Swirls of tan rock like mast-heads.  Slabs of stone with constellations dotted across them.  And above them all loomed the Divine Beast that she'd seen only in sketches.
The elephant knelt on the ground, its trunk lifted, one side completely removed to show the interior like a giant's doll house.  People scurried over it, lowering heavy devices from inside with a crane controlled by a team of Gorons.
Yona had read the letters, of course, but to see the extent of it all with her own eyes took her breath away.  There were so many machines.
Her mind raced with images of the reefs that would grow over the guardian's husks, coral wedging into the crevasses in vibrant colors that maintained the original swirls.  She could picture the towers they could build from the strange stone that could withstand the pressures of the sea floor.  In her mind, she saw a city of domes and arches, with schools of fish shimmering as they circled the minarets.
She barely pulled her eyes away as she and her delegation stepped off the ship, and she pulled herself into the present to greet the approaching welcome party.  At the front was a short blond woman, who Yona knew must be the Princess Zelda with whom she had exchanged so many letters.  Beside her was a stooped Zora with a sting ray countenance, who beamed at her with rheumy eyes, and a woman with white hair and bright red glasses, her lips pinched in worry.
"Your Highness," Zelda greeted, pressing her hand to her chest and bowing her head in the traditional greeting of Yona's people.  "Our warmest welcome to Hyrule."
"My dear Princess Zelda, I'm delighted to be here."
"I hope your journey was not too strenuous."
"Not at all.  The weather was pleasant and your country is as beautiful as I remember it."  She looked around to the distant mountains and grinned.
"Thank you."  They fell into step together, heading away from the ship and towards the machines.
The Zora man hurried to her side, "Lady Yona, surely you would like to see where you're staying first?  We've made arrangements for a private area for you and your countrymen."  She was prepared for accommodations on land, but he pointed towards a kind of pagoda built over the water.  The pillars and roof were wood, but a wall of machine parts had been sunk into the water around it as a wave break.  How delightful!  "King Dorephan was adamant that you receive a feast.  Hearty Hylian bass, delicate snails steamed in lotus blossoms."
Yona laughed.  "That is all amazing!  You and your king are too kind. I am beyond grateful.  But...if we have to walk past the machines, it seems silly not to see them first.  I'll tell you truely, I have heard so much about them that I can hardly contain my suspense."
Her mother had warned her not to be over eager about the devices.  This was a somber occasion, and there might as yet still be grumblings about handing them over.  The queen felt that they should act as if they were doing the Hyruleans a humble favor and downplay any advantage they received from the agreement.
But Yona could tell from Princess Zelda's letters that she had a deep fondness for the machines, and Yona was certain it would put the Hylian monarch's mind at ease if she conveyed a true appreciation for the gift.
Her honest interest paid off because the Hylian princess gave the machines her own warm smile.  A bit sad.  A bit proud.  Understandable considering all the mixed emotions.
"Of course," she said.  "You can see that Vah Ruta has already arrived.  But she didn't have to travel far.  You can see her resting place from here. We only had to bring her down the cliff and across the river."  Zelda pointed at a plateau across the way.  "Vah Naboris is on a barge on her way here as we speak.  We expect her in another few days, but she will take extensive dismantling because of all the electricity.  She would be the greatest safety hazard to your people.  Vah Rudania is more difficult to transport, and the Gorons have a plan to bring her mostly over land.  And then the Rito have no choice but to dismantle Vah Medoh and bring her peace-meal.  Most of her left wing is over there."  She pointed at a distant pile of the strange rock.
"Such industriousness," Yona said.
"Yes," Zelda said.  "In all our rebuilding efforts, it seems the only thing everyone can agree upon is that we want the Sheikah technology gone."
"Only because it stopped working," the white haired woman muttered.
As expected, not everyone was happy to see the machines gone.
Yona pretended she hadn't heard, and Zelda did as well.
She paused next to a pile of the squid-like machines--guardians--and hauled one around so Yona could see inside.  She barely touched it before five workers ran over to do it for her.  "We removed the interior wiring, and we have a plan to clean everything of contaminants before you bring them into the water."
"Excellent."
Apparently a large part of the negotiations for the machines was that most of the technology--inert as it was--would be removed first, so that the Zora would not be able to reverse engineer them as weapons.  Yona did not care about the weapon technology.  It sounded frightful and as if it appealed to a person's greatest vices.  But then her country was not as consistently plagued by magical evil as Hyrule was, and she could not begrudge their attempts to defend themselves.  Such defenses would have no use in her homeland.  No, Yona simply wanted the raw materials to fabricate new structures.  Until recently, their city was a marvel, but a typhoon five years ago dashed their palace and swept away their homes.  With a lack of materials, people had taken to living in sunken ships like scavengers and squabbling over what remained of the reef.  Many left for warmer shores.
They needed to reclaim their former stability and prosperity.
Princess Zelda led her to the kneeling elephant, where she watched in fascination as the Gorons lifted out a machine that must way several tons, carrying it through the air on pulleys without even the help of the ocean's buoyancy.  "Our engineers will explain the pumping systems to you and your people."
Yona was diplomatic enough to smile and say a simple, "Thank you.  Such technological advancements will be a great help to my people."
Vah Ruta was another source of strife.  This time among the Hyruleans, because it seemed the Zora claimed ownership of Vah Ruta and wanted to give the Divine Beast to the ocean Zora regardless of its military capabilities.  Perhaps because of its military capabilities.  The rest of the Hyruleans thought the weapons should be destroyed forever, all the races of Hyrule jointly surrendering their claims.  There was no word for weeks while the people of Hyrule debated among themselves, and then the ocean Zora were informed of the compromise: that they would receive Vah Ruta with her water pumps and ice-creating abilities in tact, but the lasers and the ability for it to rain ice shards from the sky would be removed.
What a difficult situation for Hyrule.  And for them to turn on each other at such a difficult junction was sad to see, and yet it strengthened her heart to see that they were able to come to an agreement in the end.  Hopefully they could continue to stand together.
"Ho there!"
They turned to see a Zora man trotting towards them, covering a great deal of ground in easy bounds because he was so very tall.  The strength of his form and the ferocity of his shark countenance were balanced by the delicacy of his attire, and when he flashed a shining grin at her, any trepidation she felt at addressing someone so very large vanished.
"My lady Yona," he said, pressing his hand to his heart and bowing.  "Please forgive my late arrival."
"May I present Prince Sidon," Princess Zelda said, and Yona gasped.
"But you were so small the last time we met!" Indeed, he'd been a head shorter than her and a bit round.
He threw back his head and laughed, and such a sound was something worth cherishing.  "Indeed!  Has the princess shown you Vah Ruta?  Although she was put to ill intentions, she is a marvel.  In the end she was our defender, and my sister loved her dearly.  Despite that, we must see her go so our people can heal.  I feel secure entrusting her to your capable hands."
"I swear to you that we will take excellent care of her, and treat her with all honor and love."
"My deepest thanks," he said, and the sincerity in that statement was enough to banish any doubts she may have had.  This was right.  With this they could find healing.

the finale was very powerful, and the moment-to-moment was superb. still, i still can't shake the feeling that rasputin got done dirty in the grand scheme of things. i've been playing and following the lore since the D1 beta, and the idea that one day we'd get to see the warmind(...s at the time,) play a major role in the story was the most exciting prospect ever. yet, despite /technically/ having multiple seasons and an expansion, his arc played on a loop... only breaking it right before dying.
I agree! I think this all could've played out pretty much the same without outright killing him. Obviously the proper sacrifice makes a bigger impact, but I genuinely feel like it would've been the same if he just lost his Warmind powers and was stuck being just an Exo for the rest of his life.
One issue that I have is that this is the second time we've built him up only for him to eventually die after making a grand gesture. In Worthy, we built him up and then he got shut down immediately after, which led to him being gone from the story for three years.
Then we had a story of building him up and then he dies immediately after. It feels like a repeat. There's obviously differences, especially with us actually being able to interact with him this season and learning so much more about him and our past and his actions that had so much influence. But at the end of the day, he died and his story is over before we really got a chance to experience him as a character.
I really would've preferred if he got a chance to be a person after spending so long trying to attain personhood. Again, obviously it's more of an impact if his sacrifice is complete instead of him just giving up the power he has but still being able to walk around and live, but you know. A part of it feels like Bungie really wants to wrap up some of the plots, permanently, and limit the amount of characters we have left to follow. Which is also just how narratives work when we near the end, but people are reasonably upset that Rasputin is the one that had to be on the receiving end, mostly because of how incomplete his story has been right up until he was about to die.
I guess there's always hope that he can be rezed, especially after doing the Guardian thing about sacrifice, but I doubt they'll be bringing him back. This definitely felt like a goodbye to him.

isn't it interesting how all the alpha guardians (minus poppop) are like. resistance heroes? whereas the beta guardians were all just kinda... making sburb happen? resigned to the fact that the world was gonna end and they were gonna die?
this same kind of dichotomy shows up when we look at the beta kids vs the alpha kids too. the beta kids are regarded as heroes; the alpha kids are dubbed "nobles" because they're not fated to save anything. their job is to WAIT for the heroes to come.
in the epilogues too... in candy specifically, we see jade, rose, and dave all end up in the resistance, while john sits on his ass and ponders reality. meanwhile the rest of the alpha kids are either actively making things horrible (jane), dead (dirk), or bystanders to the horrible state of things (jake, and roxy KIND OF until we find out she's in on the revolution in hs2)
the same thing doesn't Quite follow for meat, but jane and jake do end up staying behind when dirk fucking loses it.
i dunno. there's something here. something about the "heroes" vs "nobles" thing

So uhhh here's a handful of things I wrote in like twenty minutes for wip Wednesday, no beta we die like [REDACTED]. For the @magireco-minibang ofc! Tw for. Vague-ish discussion Ib!Nemu's unconventional coping mechanisms, I guess, since none of it is depicted and the SA officers think was SA, wasn't really. But they do convict Mitsuru of that so yeah expect Troubled Teenage Years.
Project partner: @karinmisono
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nemu sat where she’d been told to and watched the officers shuffle about. She’d given them Alexandra’s number when they’d picked her up, and it had been some time since then. Evidently, seeing as Futatsugi and Yukuni were not exactly five minutes away and it was the dead of night, she had expected the tardiness.
“Miss Hiiragi, your guardian is here for you,” a female officer spoke softly to her. “Don’t worry, it’ll be okay.”
Out of curiosity, she had to ask one question.
“What will happen to the woman I was with?”
The officer’s expression hardened. “You don’t have to worry about that. She won’t be able to hurt you anymore. We’re sending her away for a long, long time.”
“… I wish she had told me she was being investigated. I didn’t mean to get her arrested. Then again, she did neglect to ask my age.”
“Nemu!”
Nemu stood up and tolerated Alexandra’s hug for all of one second. “Yes, I’m fine. I had not planned for this to happen. I apologize that they had to wake you up.”
Alexandra sighed. “It’s okay, I was up talking to Rabi anyway. The car is outside.” She looked over at the officer. “Is there anything else you need from me?”
“No, ma’am. You are free to go.”
Alexandra and Nemu hurried out of the police department at a brisk pace they knew the officers wouldn’t question. During the car ride, it was time to talk.
“So, what happened to the woman? Her name was… Inami?”
“Mitsuru Inami,” Alexandra confirmed. “She’s been charged with assault. I don’t think you’ll be seeing her again. Honestly… Could you wait until you’re eighteen before you go around bedding women over twenty?”
Nemu raised an eyebrow. “How old are you, exactly?”
“… never mind. But please, be more careful. I was so anxious when they asked me for proof of guardianship…”
“Did they request anything besides the court order I forged?”
“No, but it’s pretty ballsy to hand over a forged document like that to an officer with a straight face. Oh, did you want me to drive you back to Kamihama? I don’t use the car that often, I might need to turn on the GPS for that.”
That would probably be bad. Nemu weighed her options and swiftly came to a decision. It wasn’t that she was particularly itching to go back to her parents, but Alexandra’s strange intentions could not be encouraged.
“Yes. I will make my way home from the school, no need to find my family’s house.”
“In Sankyo Ward?”
“Correct.”
Nemu hoped Alexandra wouldn’t ask anything more. They’d only known each other for a year and she already knew she hated questions. Among other things, one of the reasons Nemu had agreed to an arrangement with her was that she could keep a secret.
“You are so unromantic~”
“I told you what my intentions were from the very beginning. Take it or leave it.”
The woman gave her a pouty look, then turned her eyes back to the road. “And if I ask you why, you’re going to deflect, aren’t you?”
“Indeed.”
Ultimately, Alexandra sighed and drove on, at first in silence, later humming along to the radio.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
‘You should hang out with friends more!’ Karin Misono had said. ‘You’ll have fun, I’m sure!’ Karin Misono had said. Nemu was starting to wonder how Alina was psychologically able to withstand her endless pushing.
And so, there the three of them sat inside the police station. Nemu hadn’t seen the place before, always doing her utmost to remain undetected by law enforcement whenever she did something not-quite-lawful. Her eyes dragged over each of the adults sitting by her. Chika’s reason to be there was simply that it’d been her cabin that they’d been staying the night at, mostly playing card games after a day out in nature—Chika had initially suggested a camping trip, but for numerous headache-related reasons, Nemu had disagreed, and Sasha had a different compromise the following morning. Sasha’s reason to be there was likely unknown to Chika and Asahi, given that they’d been surprised when they saw she and Nemu already knew each other. Nemu assumed Asahi wouldn’t face any charges.
Her answer came in the form of Asahi and an officer walking towards them, the former’s face dark with guilt.
“With your testimonies, ladies, we’ve decided that Miss Miura acted in self-defense, and she has provided a permit for her hunting rifle. She will not be charged, you can rest easy. The other girl… She hasn’t identified herself and has continued to speak mostly incoherently. All we’ve been able to decipher is she’s looking for you, Miss Hiiragi.”
Nemu sighed deeply. Thankfully, she and Sasha had already started the process to get a restraining order.
Sasha put a hand on her shoulder and spoke for her. “This girl has been stalking Nemu for months, officer. I wouldn’t feel safe letting her near.”
“Do you have any hard evidence?” the officer asked, taking out a notepad.
“Her phone. She always brings it with her to take pictures.” Nemu glanced at Sasha, subtly removing her hand. “I hope she gets the hint… The less time we spend here, the better. I wish people would not get so attached… I don’t lead them on, I always tell them upfront that if they do see me again, I will pretend not to know them unless they want another go…”
“Breaking and entering and stalking. Understood. We’ll order a psychological evaluation for her. It may be wise to pursue a restraining order in the meantime.”
A middle-aged man walked out of where they were holding the stalker and approached the group. “Listen, I’m so sorry about my daughter, she’s never- wait, you’re…”
Nemu tensed, nails digging into her palms. The last thing she wanted was to draw undue attention. If this man was in any way knowledgeable about the martial arts scene in Kamihama, he would recognize her, and the risk that he may spread what had happened was not lost on Nemu.
“You’ve been highly ranked in the last city-wide kendo and karate competitions, haven’t you? I’ve seen you at the karate one with my daughter.”
“We train at the same dojo, sir.”
He frowned sadly and bowed. “I’m genuinely sorry for the distress she has caused you. I never realized she was so… disturbed.”
Nemu seized her chance. “Please, don’t worry about it. If I could ask something of you, it would be that you don’t talk about what happened to anyone else.”
“Of course. I will make sure to keep a closer eye on my daughter from now on.”
Asahi clearly wanted to apologize as well, but stopped herself when Chika tugged on her sleeve and shook her head. After a few more exchanges, the group was allowed to leave, and Nemu went off on her own as soon as she was able to. Her phone vibrated in her pocket.
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘At least tell me you got home safe.’
Nemu doubted she would be going home, tired gaze scanning the streets. ‘I told you to do away with those feelings of yours,’ she texted back, trying not to feel annoyed about the existence of romantic attraction. She’d thought her peers were faking it at first. That it was only real in stories. Apparently not.
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘I can’t worry about a friend’s safety?’
‘Friends is a rather generous term.’ A pause. Then, ‘I will let you know when I have a roof over my head.’
For some reason, Sasha cared. She couldn’t fathom why. Sasha had given up on any aspirations of romance, if her trying to set her up with one of her friends was any indication. Or maybe that wasn’t how it worked. Nemu wouldn’t know.
She reconsidered Sasha’s role in her life. Beyond being part of her therapist’s least favorite of her coping mechanisms, Nemu would be hard-pressed to deny that Sasha knew more about her than even Alina, Karin, Hotaru, or anyone else she could consider slightly more than an acquaintance. After a deep breath, she texted the half-Russian one last time.
‘Apologies. The inconvenience I cause you is likely more significant than the benefits.’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘Well, it would be nice if you could reduce the amount of times you get detained every year… But I do enjoy having you around.’
‘My ego does not require a boost, Alexandra. I know where my skill lies.’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘You talk like you consider yourself a tool.’
‘My body is.’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘It’s not.’
Nemu considered leaving her on read. Unfortunately for her desire to stop discussing this particular topic, Sasha had more to say.
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘You told me my singing was nice.’
She frowned. ‘When did that happen?’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘You say and do things when you’re sleepy in the mornings, and you make faces when your breakfast citrus fruit juice is too acidic.’
‘What does that have to do with anything?’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘I’m telling you that no matter how hard you try to keep yourself at arm’s length from the people around you, those of us who care about you pay attention. If you need to talk, my door is always open.’
It was true that Sasha had bothered to learn more about her in two years than her parents had in sixteen. Still, led by instinct, she deflected.
‘I already have a key to your apartment.’
Alexandra Kurusu: ‘Nemu. You know what I mean.’
‘Yes, that you remain happy with our arrangement. Good to know. Go home, Alexandra.’
Nemu caught sight of a lone high schooler shifting nervously outside a pub she recognized. “This place is a common meeting spot… At this hour, they must have stood her up. Perfect.”
Target acquired. She turned off her phone and shoved it into her pocket.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“AGGRAVATED ASSAULT MY ASS! She was creeping on my friend!”
“Miss Oba, settle down-”
The handcuffs around the woman’s wrists rattled as she struggled against the restraints and glared at Nemu. Nemu made a show of flinching. Two Futatsugi officers who remembered her from a few years prior pulled the boxer back by the shoulders, and Nemu discreetly elbowed Sasha next to her to speak up.
“L-look, Nemu has had a very hard time recovering from what happened, and older women being aggressive towards her make her panic.”
Sasha was fantastically adept at lying through her teeth, Nemu knew that much. The only reason she’d stuttered was that Miss Oba had wiped the floor with someone she knew to be a relatively skilled martial artist. How much of that had been intentional, Sasha was not privy to. Nemu would’ve preferred to sustain less injuries. Had she known the blue-haired woman she’d seen standing near the station all by herself had a friend who would sock her in the face first and ask questions later, she would’ve simply refrained from interacting at all—that or the woman could’ve used her words and said no. She had a feeling she was going to, had Miss Oba’s fist not arrived first.
“Panic? She nearly broke my arm!”
“Juri,” a stern officer called. “You’ve been here enough times. You know it’ll be worse if you keep acting like this. We’ll have to see if Miss Hiiragi wants to press battery charges.”
Nemu thought about bringing up her medical history. Wanting to avoid conflict, she decided against it, and made sure the officers saw her pretending to fidget with Sasha’s sleeve. “… Miss Oba. I had no intent to harm your friend. Had she turned me down, I would have left without another word.”
“You expect me to believe that?”
She sighed. Again. “I have told you the truth. It’s up to you whether or not you choose to take it as such. However, I understand you acted out of a desire to protect your friend. I will not be pressing battery charges.”
Juri Oba kept glaring at her. They stayed quiet under watch until a blonde woman came by to talk to the officers in Juri’s stead, with the blue-haired one from before following after her. Soon after, the officers let Nemu and Sasha go. Blessed with not having to pretend-cower anymore, Nemu was content to doze in Sasha’s car, later collapsing into the older woman’s sofa.
“You’re staying over?”
“If I have to listen to my mother’s concerned barrage of questions and my father belittling me for losing a fight today, I might tear a door off its hinges and throw it at them. Although, I doubt either of us would enjoy ourselves very much tonight with the state I’m in… I will understand if you want me to leave.”
Sasha absentmindedly draped a blanket over her as she passed by the sofa. “No, not really. I have things to do around the apartment for a bit, and I have to practice later, but I don’t mind you staying. Do you have enough enzymes for the day?”
“… I do. Thank you, Sasha.”
Quite possibly due to being referred to aloud by her nickname for the first time, she beamed. “That’s what friends are for~”
