Suddenly, there was quiet: no blasterfire from the troopers nor the sound of ship engines above their head. It was just them. Only for the silence to be broken by that dreaded last shot...

Their brother fell into the abyss, and they couldn't do anything but watch. After what felt like an eternity, the cart picked up speed. They watched at the spot where their brother just hang moments before, but there was nothing left.

Suddenly, a loud shriek was heard. Not belonging to Tech, not belonging to the remaining members, not belonging to the firing troopers. No, a shriek belonging to a winged beast that approached from the distance. Before the large bird dove headfirst into the emptiness where Tech fell into, they caught a glimpse of familiar armour belonging to a figure riding the animal, very familiar armour.

Before their brains could even process what was happening, the large bird rose from the clouds beneath with now two persons riding it: Crosshair and Tech. The batch leapt onto the back of the beast, and they flew into the horizon where they lived happily ever after on Pabu as a family with Hemlock dead and the empire gone. Thank you very much!
