It's funny how opinions can change over time for instance I used to want Bruce to be a good parent but then I realised how fucking boring that is to read at the end of the day comics are soap operas and I'm here for the drama

Don't laugh at people or mock people who are "childish". People are allowed to like things that are considered "childish". Toys, kids cartoons, anything like that can be a valuable source of comfort for the people who like them. It's important to have things in life that make you happy, and without them it gets miserable. Wether that thing is stuffed animals or cooking or writing lyrics, what's important is that others don't ridicule and belittle them for it. There shouldn't be such judgement for the things that make people happy.

Nursery/Daycare idea:

A growth-chart style graphic for Littles next to the door of the nursery that functions similar to a clip-chart so that Caregivers don't need to use cues from their Little to figure out how old they feel and so that Littles don't need to pick a hard number, but instead it's more organized by "height" (more like baby, toddler, preschooler, elementary school, middle school, middle and adult).

And then if you have two Littles you can have multiple clips and kiddos and move them around to keep track. This could also be helpful if you're a flip or are working with another flip!

Do you guys ever think about historical age regression? And no I don't mean in fiction I mean like how there's so many people that regressed. What was it like? Do you wonder if there was a regressor and their caregiver who lived in the 60s? Did any adults or teens in the early 1900s wish they had a rocking horse every time they saw one in a shop window? What about even further, in the 1800s? The 1600s even. Older?

We're not alone, maybe modern day is during a time where regression is more present because it's a perfect amount of certain factors, sure but it's not like someone in 2014 just decided to! I think it's really facinating and intimate to imagine all these people throughout the years going through what we go through. And I bet a good lot of them lived happily. And maybe quite a few found a good support system.

🌼 - keigo is very publicly a regressor and a lot of it has to do with his image. it isn’t right to say that he fakes it or anything, but he does lay it on thick for his fans. they adore the suave guy with a sweet, sensitive side that they can take care of. it boosts his rating when he can manage to squeeze in a fight where he looks sharp and capable, and an interview afterwards where he’s small and precious. the juxtaposition gets them every time. but not everyone is the most supportive— he sees a lot of people commenting about how weird it is and how a hero shouldn’t be pretending to be a baby. the commission shields him from a lot of it (he doesn’t have access to any of his social media and they see no point in letting him see what people say about him when they can just tell him a filtered version), but it still hurts since he does actually regress. what he shows people is a watered down version of it, where he’s only halfway into his headspace, but there is a very real version of it that he keeps secluded to himself in his apartment. he internalizes a lot of the negative comments, adding them to the vitriol of commission critique that have been pounded into his brain since he was young.

🌼 - around other people, he’s a manufactured mix of a toddler that’s still old enough not to be annoying (his words, not mine). when asked, he claims to be four when he’s really hovering around six to eight. in private, by himself or with a caregiver, he still fluctuates between those same ranges, but he actually letting himself sink into it more. he can’t go into babyspace because the vulnerability for it is locked behind years of training, so he goes as low as he can— which caps at around three. it’s kind of complicated, even to him, so his regression is super finicky. it’s really easy for him to pop out of headspace and he struggles to be in it for long periods of time. it’s yet another thing that he feels like he has to perform, even for himself.

🌼 - he can be a lot more bird-like when regressed because he’s tapping more into his instincts. he chirps, he sings (like a bird), and he likes being preened. he has a massive circle bed in his apartment that he turned into a proper nest with soft blankets and plushies given to him by fans and he likes hiding away in it. his caregiver might try to put in rules about flying because he’s a little more clumsy and impulsive when small, but he likes being up high and feeling safe away from everyone else so it’s hard to enforce. he also refuses to feed himself because, in his baby bird brain, he needs a parent to come feed him first. he’s had many nights crying and regressed because he’s hungry and can’t fathom making something for himself. to circumvent this, he tries to pre-plan meals and pretend that someone else made them for him.

🌼 - can’t do punishments at all, not even gentler ones like corner time or writing lines. when he’s in trouble, his fight or flight kicks in and it always ends in him desperately fawning because all his brain is capable of registering is how unsafe it is to be in trouble. the commission’s cruelty and his childhood left a lot of trauma and while he tries not to let it overlap with his regression, it’s pretty much impossible because his regression isn’t some cute thing he pretends to do (like he says), it’s a trauma response to those exact memories. when he gets a caregiver, it’s a balancing act because he’s a rambunctious little boy that’s very mischievous and likes causing trouble. he’ll eavesdrop, run around, and prod at every boundary and limit a caregiver has either because it’s fun or because he wants to know what it’ll take for someone to snap and leave him. it’s very important to keep your cool around him and gently redirect him.

🌼 - going off that, he’s very apologetic when he does something wrong and tries very hard to hide how much it scares him that he’s messed up. he hates being alone and fears abandonment so much more than physical pain that most of his spirals and tantrums are him freaking out because he thinks his caregiver will leave. sometimes he’ll lash out, angry because he knew it would happen eventually, and other times he’ll beg and cry for his caregiver not to leave him. once he’s calmed down, he’ll be very clingy— but in a way that’s like him standing at the entrance to a room because he wants to be close but doesn’t want to admit it or be a bother.

🌼 - he has an assortment of gear, all gifted to him by fans. he never buys anything for himself. that means he has all kinds of toys and supplies for all ages that he either donates or keeps stuffed in his closet for him to ignore even when he actually wants something. the rest of his apartment is pretty much empty because he doesn’t spend a lot of time there and he hates the idea of decorating it. a lot of his healing comes in the form of rediscovering his identity and figuring out what he likes. it’s really scary but it’s a little less bad when he can hold someone’s hand about it <3

Thank you for opening my eyes! Damian has been one of my favorite characters for over a year, but I didn't read/watch much of him because of school, life (and probably an executive dysfunction in the mix).
