Body Swap - A Job!?

Part One

Summarized ID: Reigen continues to try and use Mob's powers. Reigen tells Mob that since the client is expecting Reigen, Mob must take the lead on this consultation. He makes Mob look more presentable, then goes off to the bathroom to do the same to himself. He tells Mob to read up on customer service while he is gone.

FULL ID UNDER CUT:

Dimple floats up behind Reigen. "Y'know, if you wanted, I could possess you and-" Reigen raises an arm, putting the back of his hand in Dimple's face to shut him up.

REIGEN: "Bad idea, we have no idea how this whole thing even works. Adding any other kind of element to it is risky."

Dimple floats off. "Tch."

Reigen watches Mob clean up the shattered cup, a finger on his chin.

Reigen outstretches a hand to the cup.

Reigen raises both hands, clenching them and struggling. "Gghh..."

He puts two fingers to either side of his temple, gritting his teeth. "Ggghhh--"

Nothing has happened to the cup. Mob looks over. "Don't hurt yourself, please."

Reigen puts his head in his hands. "How are we gonna exorcise anything...!?" The cup fragments begin floating. Mob raises a hand in surprise. "Master!"

The fragments drop again.

REIGEN: "Oh, I- didn't even realize..."

Mob says warily: "My powers can activate at any time, so please be careful."

REIGEN: "Alright, I'll uh... try my best."

A full pan of the office as Mob dumps the fragments into the trash. Reigen is sat on the small seat on the far wall.

Reigen watches Mob, thoughtfully, then says: "We have to do something about you as well."

MOB: "huh?"

REIGEN: "The client is expecting to talk to me, meaning you. If I took the lead on this, then rumours could spread that I let my student walk all over me. I have a reputation to repair, y'know? Can't let people think you're the boss."

He stands, hip cocked, thinking, as he says this. Absentmindedly, he flicks his finger in an upward motion.

"Another thing, if you're gonna be talking to a client, you need to look good. At least button your shirt--"

His powers activate, rapidly buttoning up Mob's shirt.

Reigen's jaw drops. Mob looks perturbed.

Reigen's mouth closes, and he raises his hand again, activating his powers.

Mob's hair begins to move around, smoothed down and combed back by Reigen's powers.

Mob looks down at Reigen. "Master, didn't you say using your powers on others is wrong?"

Reigen waves him off, squinting and rolling up Mob's sleeves. His aura is bubbling around him. "Uhhh yeah, just- give me a second."

There's a time cut.

Mob's sweatpants' drawstring is tucked into the sweatpants, hiding them.

Reigen puts his hands on his hips, looking slightly proud but still with an unsure sweatdrop on his cheek. "Alright! You look a little more presentable now. Kind of."

Mob looks up and feels a strand of hair with his fingers. His hair has been styled to where it's parted at the side, the left side being slicked back stylishly. He looks down at Reigen. "Aren't you going to do something about yourself, too? You look messy. and lazy. And I don't think you put on deodorant this morning-"

Reigen moves to go to the bathroom, a little annoyed. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna freshen up, too."

He waves his hand around, walking away. "you should read a few of those books on customer service, okay? someone as awkward as you needs as much help as he can get."

Mob looks at the bookshelves behind him, and takes a book out, opening it up.

Dimple sits on the desk, with little arms and legs. He thinks to himself: "Mob's first customer consultation... this'll be interesting."

So I was on brenton thwaites' (guy who plays nightwing on titans) imdb page a while ago and I finally realized that the synopsis of a movie he did in 2018 sounded so familiar because it's literally the plot of nightwing vol 2 78-79

I know No Man’s Land is very beloved (and I am enjoying the isolationist, back-to-basics element of it), but my god the conservatism is dripping from these pages
