An Expanded Family: How They'd Be as Step-Parents

Izuku Midoriya

It had been the first thing he learned about you. You were a parent. Parenthood was deeply engrained in the way you operated, especially in the Pro Hero space.

When you started dating, though, it became so much more complicated than that.

He started overthinking immediately.

Deku was a lot of things. A lot of little kids looked up to him. He met people every day, but the pressure of meeting your little one was extremely high.

Sometimes you'd catch him mumbling to himself, practicing how to talk to a little kid. He knew that screwing this up might mean losing you forever.

But there is literally no possible way that he could screw it up. In any universe.

He decided to go with you and your four year old son to a playground. He put together a picnic and everything.

Izuku was perfect.

You were sure you fell in love with him all over again, watching him on the playground with your baby.

He was a little awkward at first, but as soon as your son asked him to play tag, Midoriya was all over it.

Your baby had him climbing up slides, going down fireman's poles, swinging on swings, the works.

And you couldn't tell who was having more fun: Izuku or your son.

Sometimes, Deku would come over and babysit for you while you had to run off to work or to run an errand.

Izuku always just treated them like playdates or sleepovers, though.

He asks your son's permission for everything first. Especially when he's about to take big steps in the relationship, like moving in.

But when Deku asked your son if he could move in with you guys, your son got all wide eyed and excited.

"Yeah!" he exclaimed, smiling wide. "It'll be like a big sleepover!"

Midoriya knew your son had another parent, whether they were involved or not. He wasn't really trying to take over the father role.

It just fit him so well.

Soon, he found himself making pancakes and packing lunches and planning birthday parties.

Midoriya loved the life he had with you and your son. He loved it much more than he had anticipated.

And when you saw how much he loved your son, and how much your son loved him, it sealed the deal for you, too.

Ochaco Uraraka

Ochaco was surprised to find out you had kids. You were always so put together.

Not that parents can't be put together, she supposed, but you just didn't really seem like the parent type when she met you.

But whenever she came over while your twin daughters were there, she immediately saw a different side of you.

It made her fall that much more in love with you.

The first time you asked her to babysit, you were on your way to the hospital to see your sister have her own baby. Their other parent was never really in the picture, and everyone else that you would normally ask to watch the babies was also going to the hospital.

Uraraka volunteered almost immediately.

She had been with the twins and you enough times that she thought she had the hang of it.

However, they were only three years old, and whenever it came time to feed them, Ochaco realized she knew so little about children.

Nothing she offered seemed to satisfy them. It took her a while to figure out what they wanted, with their picky palates.

But she did it, eventually.

She knew the routine. Dinner. Bath time. Show on the couch. Then bedtime in the room they shared.

That night, you came home to find your two girls asleep with their heads on Ochaco's lap, her head leaned back on the couch as she dozed, too.

You merely giggled and brought your two girls to their own beds, then brought Ochaco into bed with you.

After that, it took her a while to feel comfortable watching the girls without you.

But she was very good at following your parenting style whenever it was the two of you!

And, man they loved her.

Any chance they got, they dragged Ochaco into the floor to play with them.

Coloring books, ball games, dress up, anything they could convince her to do.

With your permission, she had even floated them a couple of times.

And it warmed your heart when you heard one of them ask her, "Ochaco, will you be my Mama?"

Tenya Iida

You only got your baby every other week.

Your son was still a newborn, and his other parent was still very much a part of his life.

You wanted to make as much of the time you had with him as possible. So originally, Iida wouldn't come over during the weeks that you had him.

However, all of that changed when his dad wanted to switch weeks for a family event that you'd had going on.

You'd been so absent minded about it that you had forgotten to tell Iida.

Tenya had offered to just go back home and to reschedule his visit for the following week. But you thought that was as good a time as any for him to meet your son.

Iida met your baby while he was sleeping.

He was quiet and attentive, taking in the entire nursery. He didn't think you had shown him that part of your house before.

And even though he loved you and your son, it took a long time for him to really feel like he was part of your family.

I mean, you were seemingly still really close with the baby's other parent. He was never going to be able to step inside the bubble of your family.

Especially because Iida never really did the whole "step-father" thing.

At least, not in the way that anybody else usually did it.

He was more clinical, more calculating, the way he was with everything.

He didn't give the baby any baths or diaper changes for the first six months that you knew him, at least. He felt like it was inappropriate for him, as someone who isn't even related to the baby, to be doing those things for him.

He would do almost everything else, though. Feeding, playing, walks, different learning exercises, cleaning, more feeding.

You knew that everything he ever said or did was only because he cared about you and your baby.

However, he was always insecure about it. He never thought he'd be able to get your ex to trust him, and he never wanted to give either of you a reason not to.

Until you had a conversation with him about it.

You had a heart to heart about how it felt like you were doing a lot of things alone in your relationship and that you needed him to do a little more.

It was then that he told you how much he worried about things like diaper changes.

After you had a long talk about it, he revealed that he had no problem with those kinds of things. He just worried that it would affect the baby's development, to have a stranger around for intimate moments like diaper changes.

After that, he started to help more. He became stronger and stronger as a caregiver for your baby.

He would never be the baby's father. You both knew that. And Iida wasn't trying to be his father. All Tenya wanted was to love both of you for as long as he could.

Momo Yaoyorozu

You had a ten year old daughter when you and Momo started dating.

In fact, Momo met your daughter almost right away. She didn't have much of a choice because you had a really hard time finding childcare for her while you were away.

Your ex wasn't in the picture and didn't want to be. You didn't want them to be either. And your family didn't exactly raise kids the way you wanted your daughter to be raised. So it was just you and your daughter for the last ten years.

Until Momo came along.

She started out as just a really good friend.

Plus, now your daughter had someone else to look up to in her real life. Momo was smart and powerful, and you wanted your baby to have a woman in her life to look up to. Momo was perfect.

And then it became so much more than that.

Soon, Momo was over every single day. She picked up your daughter from school when you couldn't. She helped with homework and studying. She made dinner and taught your daughter everything she could about math and science and chemistry and hero work, everything she could get out of her system

And your daughter really didn't know how to feel about Momo because she just came on so strong all the time.

I mean, your daughter did like Momo.

It was just hard for her not to have some big feelings. She only had one real parent, and she didn't like any of her other family because of how mean they were all the time.

And Momo went from her parent's friend that sometimes tutored her to the person that sometimes steals her only parent.

And sure, it was cool to have a superhero as a stepmom.

But really your daughter missed the days when it was just the two of you.

When you noticed, you were heartbroken. You apologized over and over, and you promised your daughter that you could plan more days for just the two of you.

Momo was fully supportive of you having more alone time with your daughter. She knew it was important for your daughter to have that bonding time.

Momo just wasn't really sure how to react at the news that your daughter wanted her around less. She hadn't really considered how much she cared for you and your family until then.

Somehow, even though Momo knew how important it was for your daughter to have you as a support system, she still felt rejected and sad. She didn't want to leave you alone.

Momo pulled away for a while. Not because she was angry or anything, but because she didn't know how much space she was supposed to give you to be with your daughter.

Eventually, your daughter did start asking about her again.

"When is Momo coming back over?" she asked one time on the way home from school. "I miss her."

It took a long time, but you eventually learned to balance your time with Momo and your time with your daughter.

Shoto Todoroki

You took in your younger brother when your parents passed away.

You were happy to do so. The two of you had always been close, and you were happy to be the one who takes care of him.

But he was a bitter, emotional thirteen year old boy whose parents had just passed away. And there was nothing you could do to ease his pain.

You did everything you could think of. You started both of you in therapy. You spent quality time together. You made his favorite meals. You invited his friends over. But nothing consoled him.

He was mean and angry. He was sad and anxious. He insisted on being alone the majority of the time.

And you spent so much time trying to help him heal that you ended up isolating yourself.

That was when you met Shoto. He was a good shoulder to lean on. He was never judgmental of you or your situation. He always listened and never spoke until the time was right.

Todoroki also put you first, the way that you were never able to. And you fell in love with him months after your brother moved in with you.

You were extremely careful of the way you presented your relationship to Shoto to your brother. You thought it would be too quick of a change for him so soon after the last one.

Your worry actually led to you keeping it a secret for a little over a month.

It wasn't on purpose. You always meant to tell your brother that you had a boyfriend. But at first he just wasn't responsive to anything you said.

But then he met Shoto on accident.

Shoto went into your apartment to grab something you needed for work. It was only meant to be a quick trip to the apartment, and your brother wasn't meant to be there.

But he was. Your brother had skipped school. Apparently it's something he'd been doing for a while. He would just walk home after you left for work.

Shoto found him, and they struck up a deal. Todoroki would teach him some skills in combat and he would avoid telling you about the skipping class if your brother would stop skipping school altogether.

Suddenly, Todoroki became best friends with your younger brother.

Your brother became more social, more active. He started talking to you again. He started getting better grades in school. He started joining you for family dinners.

And when you were finally able to tell your brother about the nature of your relationship with Shoto, it turned out that he already knew.

Apparently, he overheard you on the phone with Todoroki one night.

Todoroki became increasingly protective over your brother.

He took your brother to nightly training sessions to help him work off his emotions.

Your brother even convinced Shoto to try going to therapy himself, something he had considered but never actually went through with.

After that day, they started becoming closer. Almost brotherly, almost the relationship you knew Shoto was missing from his siblings.

You knew they both needed each other.

And Todoroki was so spoiling for the both of you. He took you both on trips. He bought you gifts for holidays. He took you to dinner and to his Pro Hero parties and banquets.

Every once in a while, he would work late, and he would refuse to come back to your place because he didn't want to wake up your brother.

And one day, when Todoroki had been at his own apartment for several nights after being on late night patrols, you heard your brother ask you from the other room, "When is Shoto coming home?"

And ever since then, the three of you became a happy family.

Mirio Togata

You and your daughter met Mirio in the park.

Your daughter had been just six years old. Her other parent had passed away when she was an infant.

Your parents lived far away, and your partner's parents couldn't bear to look at your daughter now that they'd had to bury their own child. And you couldn't really blame them because of how much she looked like her other parent.

It was just the two of you, you and your baby.

Mirio had brought is own daughter, one from a previous marriage.

Their divorce had been amicable, though his ex-wife had since made some poor life choices and was no longer able to visit or take his daughter on the weekends. So they spent their days visiting parks and playgrounds.

You met because your daughter had taken quite a fall off of the swings and scraped up her hands, and Mirio's daughter had helped her up. Mirio, then, helped her find you so you could bring her home.

You were thankful, and you took your daughter home after a brief exchange of niceties.

From then on, you always noticed him at the playgrounds you frequented. Your daughter became very good friends with his, and you found it in your best interest to become friends with Mirio.

The rest is history.

You found out that your daughters would be going to the same elementary school. And from then on, they did everything together.

Meaning that you and Mirio now did everything together, too.

Mirio was particularly doting on your daughter.

He would play with her whenever she asked, no matter how silly the game was.

He would give her piggyback rides into school.

He would nurture her whenever she needed loving.

But he also never neglected his own daughter. He made sure they still went out on their father-daughter dates to cafes and parks and playgrounds.

Watching him love the kids so much created a longing in your heart that was so strong you couldn't deny that you had feelings for him.

Eventually, things spiraled until the two of you were much, much more than friends.

You hadn't exactly explained anything to your daughters yet, but during a play date, they walked in on the two of you kissing.

It was innocent enough. Nothing got remotely steamy. But it was just an innocent moment.

You both startled when you heard "OoooooOOOOoooh!" from the two tiny voices peaking around the corner.

You all started laughing, and your daughters came bounding in the room. "You loooooove Mirio!" your daughter teased.

"Yeah, I guess I do!" you said with a smile, looking at him lovingly.

Mirio was just as doting and loving on your girls as he had been the entire time.

A couple of months into your relationship, you discovered that you were pregnant. And then a few months later, you welcomed a new baby boy into the family.

At first, your girls were so loving and doting on their brother. They "helped" feed him, change him, and bathe him, which really meant just talking to him and giving him lots of kisses.

But you could tell that something with your own baby girl had gone awry.

She would cling to you all hours of the day. She always wanted to be cuddling you, right by your side every minute of the day.

Eventually, she let it slip that she thought you and Mirio loved the new baby most.

You decided that you had to do something. Your baby had to know that you loved her just as much as the rest of the family.

So you set up a special time after the baby was laid down for bed at night where you all did something together.

Sometimes you'd watch a show and cuddle under blankets on the couch. Sometimes you'd play board games together. And sometimes you would take turns reading parts of books.

You each took your girls out on solo adventures whenever you could, making sure to spend time with them just as you did one another.

You did your best to make sure that your family unit all felt loved the way they deserved.

Hitoshi Shinsou

Shinsou actually met your eight year old son first.

You had been holiday shopping on one of the busiest nights of the year.

You knew you shouldn't have brought him with you. You knew you should've just waited until your parents could watch him.

But now, here you were, frantically running around the shopping center, waiting for your eyes to lock with his.

You couldn't help but shame yourself while you searched for him.

First, you got pregnant in high school. You knew you weren't mature enough to have a child, and all of this proved it. You were still a child yourself. You had no business raising a kid all on your own.

And then you saw it.

You saw your son being led through the crowd with a man with purple hair, and you finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Fast forward to a year and a half later, and you and that man were moving into the same apartment.

Shinsou had proven to be an amazing parent, even if he really hadn't seen himself as a parent before.

He knew he wasn't really the "step-dad" type, and he never pretended to be.

He just wanted to care for you and your son as much as possible.

Hitoshi really struggled at first.

Sometimes, when he was over, he just couldn't understand why he could wake you up in the night with some love and affection.

Eventually, you explained that your son's face was peacefully sleeping on the other side of the wall between your bedrooms. "What the hell would you do if he walked in, 'Toshi?" you had eventually asked.

The look on his face seemed like he'd seen a ghost when you asked.

It took him a long time to get used to the schedule, too.

You and your kid got up so freaking early.

And yeah, he knew it was for school. But that didn't mean he wasn't grumpy about the alarm buzzing on your bedside table at six every morning.

One morning, though, he had been awake when your son had woken up from a nightmare.

You would have been happy to wake up and be there for your son. But Hitoshi also knew this was his chance to really bond with him in a way he hadn't been able to. So he got up and led your son into the kitchen.

Hitoshi took the time to heat up some milk with honey and cinnamon mixed in, just like in that movie he had watched with you and your son recently... Oh, what was it called?... He couldn't remember.

They talked about the dream. Shinsou told your son all the ways that he remembered to be brave when he was afraid.

And ever since then, your son went to Shinsou for everything. It was like he was obsessed with your boyfriend.

Ever since then, they were best friends, always getting into one thing or another together.

Hello! this is based on an OC, but may you write about Medic with a cloned child OC? I always thought of him as a mad scientist type, so I’m sure he would’ve figured out how to do that. He basically raises this clone as his own kid, and they’d be a late teen / young adult by the time the events of TF2 happen

The OC is a girl but honestly you can make it gender neutral if you’d like!

Medic & Child, Cloned reader HC

Summary: You're Medic's cloned child, headcanons. Words: 636 Request: Yeah

I like to think you’re a clone based on him, or atleast a clone made in his image. One medic is enough to create chaos and things like that, just imagine another person who's almost a 1to1 of him, pure chaos. 

Your first day being alive, he took you in his arms and was like “it’s alive!” just as Heavy and Spy walked in to ask him if he wanted to go grab a beer. They were absolutely terrified, Spy just cloaked out of there having the day Scout was born in the back of his mind.

That left only Medic, you and Heavy there. Heavy was shocked and Medic just held you up looking at him; “Isn’t she so cute!!” While you looked alarmingly similar to him with his grin on your face.

Others found out like ten minutes after that and soon everyone was just looking at you with no clue of what to do.

When Ms. Pauling found out she almost died on her spot. “There’s no way Medic is suited to even have a dog, let alone a child!” 

Nobody gave af, she soon came around to like you too. 

Medic is 100% your father figure (That’s rather obvious) but so was Heavy, they’re like your dads.

Sniper, Engie, Demo and Soldier are like your uncles (That doesn’t include Spy because he’s def a wine aunt, and so is Ms. Pauling). While Pyro and Scout act more like your siblings. 

Medic showed you the ropes and soon you were as capable of doing batshit crazy things like him. He was so proud!! 

Archimedes loves you, always resting on your shoulder doing simple things like staying with you and Medic during operations on other Mercs. 

When you were a less capable child everyone basically coparented, of course Heavy and Medic were like your parents the most but everyone wanted to take care of you so they followed a schedule of who has to babysit you and when. 

Once you grew up to actually be independent, mercenaries were terrified to realize how similar you are to Medic, you were the same person, with slightly different looks, you even wore the same glasses he did. 

When the events of the TF2 mercs splitting happened (Referencing the comics rn if someone didn’t know) you went with Medic, the change impacted you way more than it did him, you really missed everyone, they were like your family. 

Once he started to work with those blue guys you were cool with it, they underestimated you but you showed them that you’re just like your fellow dad, insane. 

Medic showed you all the modifications he made and you showed the modifications you did before you both laughed it off like the silliest thing one can do. 

When everyone got back together you were way older than you used to be, but fortunately you remembered everything. 

When Medic told you about the fact that you were a clone you were very interested and didn’t care, like at all. I mean you’re basically him, so it was more interesting than scary or sad.

He helped you in acquiring 9 souls from some suckers just like he did! (Can’t believe all mercs gave him their souls lmao) 

Sometimes you operate on the Mercs when he’s somewhere else, at first they were very unwilling but soon it showed that you were just like him in this profession (which isn’t the ideal tbh)

Everyone showed you something, so you were really multiclass, leaning heavily into being another medic (shocking, I know)

Overall a 10/10 father, sure he has some loose screws but isn’t that normal? You two are the most chaotic beings even the devil can’t contain.

Happy Sibling Day!

Wow look at me, I actually planned ahead to make a piece for a specific day and finished it on time wowie.

Anyway have some sibling pairs bein’ cute!

Okay and since I suck at shutting up my thought processes behind the pieces!

Garroth and Zane: Hc that Zane is very smart but had some speech issues early on. Speech therapy helped a lot, to the point where he becomes almost absurdly eloquent as his reading quickly translates into his speech. The comic is set early on in this therapy, so he’s just starting to vocalize names, and he hasn’t quite grasped the -th sound yet lol.

Laurance and Cadenza: Okay I actually have two ideas for Laurance’s ginger phase that I can’t choose between.

Option 1: As Laurance got older he and Cadenza started getting confused for a couple by strangers, which got on both of their nerves. Laurance lost the draw for who had to change their hair color, but ends up really liking the orange as it makes him feel closer to Candenza

Option 2: Since Laurance and Hayden look more similar people start to assume Cadenza is just Laurance’s friend and not part of the family. It gets to the point where Cadenza wants to dye her hair brown to fit in with them, but knowing how much she loves her hair Laurance offers to dye his instead, so that they can be equally confusing.

Dimitri and Naoko: Dimitri was raised by Nicole for most of his childhood before her and Dante decide to try a coparenting situation. He’s hesitant about his new sister, but quickly warms up to her. All the parents are definitely recording it to embarrass him later lol.

Levin and Malachi + Lilith and Alina: I wanted to draw them all together, maybe in a joking rivalry kind of way, (child batch 1 vs child batch 2) but I settled for pictures of them on Aph’s walls.

Stan Headcanons

♤ He is bisexual; since the day Wendy 'transitioned', he realized he liked guys.

♡ The dude writes songs but is top embarrassed to do anything about them. He wants to share them with people, but ever since the hybrid song, he rather just keep them to himself.

◇ He's a sucker for sad love songs. He likes how much emotion is in them, and he could listen to them for days. He has a private playlist full of them. He has a variety of songs he listens to, but sad love songs are 1000% his guilty pleasure.

♧ He has lost his inhaler multiple times. Either it slipped out his pocket or something. They aren't cheap, and it has cost Sharon a good amount to get him a new one, every time.

☆ He loves his friends and sees them as an extension of his family. Kyle is his best friend, his twin brother, Kenny is his lovable and stupid little brother, and Cartman is the annoying sibling he would wish he never had.

♤ Stan loves Wendy. He would usually be the one to get her a gift for their anniversary if they managed to even reach a year between their on and offs. Usually, anything he thinks she would love or would even make things for her.

♡ Stan is the second shortest person of his friend group. He doesn't mind it much unless someone sticks it in his face constantly.

◇ Stan is a gamer nerd. He knows a shit ton about any game that has come out. How to olay it, what/who is the best to play as, etc. He has the combo moves and would gladly help someone if they are struggling.

♧ Dude loves the ocean, he wants to be a marine biologist when he grows older. His favorite aquatic critter? Sea bunnies.

☆ Sparky is his lovable companion. He likes to take Sparky out for walks and sometimes helps tries to find a partner for his gay dog, usually failing in the end. He has bought a rainbow bandana that he has attached to Sparky's collar.

♤ Stan drinks due to 1. having asthma, and not being able to smoke due to it; 2. it's the one thing he has in supply at home, due to his dad being an alcoholic too. At some point, he was drinking in public while still underage. He did get Randy in trouble with the police, but he was let go a day later.

♡ Stan writes down his emotions, either writes or types them. He likes to keep them written down in case he reads back on it and it gives him a bit of inspiration for his songs. Most of his songs are probably about how he hates his dad's weed farm.

◇ His parents are actually divorced, they coparent and live together for Stan and Shelly's sake. Though Stan has found out, he doesn't want to really open that can of worms just yet.

♧ He has dreams of living back in his old home. Dreamt of burning down the farm and just returning to his normal life. He loves his dad, but he has honestly lost respect for him once the weed industry has taken over him and his life.

☆ Stan has always tried his best in school. Though, do to Cartman dragging him into the most unreal experiences, he hasn't had the best school record.

One-eye is a lot older and has Halftail in the oldest litter and Brindleface in a younger; Mousefur and Runningwind are her grandchildren. She is very old.

Dappletail and Thrushpelt are the children of Rainfur and Tawnyspots

Frostfur was raised by gay grandpaws, Weedwhisker and Stonepelt. She is the secret child of Featherwhisker.

Rosetail is the mother of Spottedleaf and Redtail

Redtail and Runningwind are the parents of Sandstorm and Longtail

Willowpelt is the daughter of Patchpelt, she only has one litter and it's with Whitestorm; Sorreltail, Sootfur, Rainwhisker.

Brindleface has Ferncloud and Elderberry in the oldest litter; Ashfur in a second just before she is murdered. Fern, Elder, and One-eye raise him.

Cloudtail is considered Firestar's son by Clan society. Cloudtail sees him more like an uncle/mentor.

Cinderpelt and Brackenfur are older than their siblings, Thornclaw and Brightheart.

Dappletail is the mother of Darkstripe and Cricketclaw in the first litter, Graystripe and Featherkit in the second.

Swiftpaw was the oldest son of Tigerclaw and Goldenflower, and first cousins with the Frostfour

Firestar and Sandstorm are queerplatonic, the twins are an honor-siring with coparenting. Firestar is aromantic.

Post-TPB:

Jessy is the mother of Alderheart and Sparkpelt; Squirrelflight does not get back with Bramblestar after his behavior in OotS. He disowned the Three and they have never forgiven him for it.

Jessy leaves just before AVoS after improving Briarlight's mobility device to the point of independence.

Thornclaw has no children and he also dies in the Great Battle; Blossomfall's kittens were honor-sired.

Seedpaw and Lilyheart were FerncloudxDustpelt children; Brackenfur dies in Po3.

Toadstep died in the Great Battle; Spiderleg does not die of Offscreen Greencough.

Hazeltail does not die of Offscreen Greencough. She is both alive and transgender.

AU & fic ideas masterpost

I just thought I'd put it down for myself, but if any of those interests you, feel free to ask me questions about them! (Most of them are Tails-centric because of course they are)

General ideas & aus building off the mainline setting

I probably wouldn't actually write fics about those but but some of them hardly qualify as "aus" to me. Also most of those don't have actual names

Sunflower au – this is just my general Tails-centric au where I dump all of my worldbuilding headcanons. I base some of the other aus off it.

Roadtrip au – this one is about Tails and Sage as adults going on another soul-searching roadtrip.

The one with Tails's parents – ok I firmly believe that Tails doesn't need parents in canon and I'm glad that it's left up to interpretation, but I was like "what if he has a human name because one of his parents was a human?" And then it kinda happened.

Parents au – similar name to the other one but this one is actually about Knuckles, Amy and Sonic coparenting Tails together. Everyone is older in this au, except for Tails.

Tailswap – this one is just Tails getting bodyswapped with a version of himself from another universe where he only has one tail. They try to swap back (It's not compatible with some of the other aus because alternative universe Miles has different parents)

Bodyswap au - another bodyswap idea, but this time it's the core four getting swapped around. It's just shenanigans all the way through.

Storybook au - this one is just the classic "characters get trapped in a book and have to finish the fairytales to get out", this already kinda happened to Sonic, but this time it's with 6 more people. (Each for a chaos emerald). Each of them is the main character of their own fairytale and they only recover their memories when they get to the end of their story and get the chaos emerald (this part is inspired by the iseakai stories Sonic Channel is doing rn)

Sickfic idea - Tails gets sick for the first time after meeting Sonic. This one I kinda do want to make into a fic.

Memory loss idea - basically Sonic gets a... very specific fantasy version of memory loss (accident in Tails's lab). It's meant to explore how unconventional Sonic and Tails's sibling dynamic is to an outsider, except the "outsider" here is Sonic himself.

Hanahaki idea - I honestly don't have anything specific for it, but maybe I'll come up with something.

Anti au - basically Sonic & his closest friends (at least Tails and Amy, I'm not sure what I want to do with Knuckles here) are... well not evil necessarily, but they cause destruction with no regard for others, they just want to have fun mostly and don't care who gets in the way. Eggman is still not a good person, but he's not as open about his villainy and tries to present a good image to the public. I need a better name for this.

Alvin and the Chipmunks crossover - I just feel that the aatc cast would fit so perfectly into the world of Sonic. I don't know.

Aus that are more explicitly alternative universes

Superhero au - this also doubles as a high school au. It's the classic teenage superhero thing, but it's probably my favourite au and I have a lot of stuff for it.

Magical girl au - magical girls! and boys. Chaos emeralds help the characters transform so it's only 7 people getting the power. Each of them gets a unique power that they can use even without the transformation (for example for Sonic it would be his speed, etc.)

Tangled - au based specifically on Tangled the Series. It's mostly me putting the Sonic characters into scenes from the show and amusing myself with it.

Wizard of Oz - not actually based on the Wizard of Oz, mostly its vibe. Cream and Shadow are the main characters there.

Actual Wizard of Oz au - au where the characters take on the roles of the Oz characters from the first book. It's kind of supposed to be a comedy, all the characters know they're doing a parody.

Aus that are based on specific adaptations

Ever After High au - that's what it is. I'm having a bit of a trouble assigning the characters fairytales, especially Knuckles (he's a very important character there)

Magic School au - eah au is too complicated with assigning the characters and all, so I've decided to also make a regular magic school au

Aosth au with Amy and Metal Sonic - exactly what it says it is. Except Amy has a plot with Scratch and Grounder, while Sonic and Tails try to fight Metal Sonic. It's mostly about Scratch and Grounder leaving Robotnik and Amy becoming a freedom fighter in her own right.

Au based on the Martin Adams novels (with Amy and Metal Sonic) – Metal Sonic here is actually the character that already exists in the novels, I'm just making them into this universe's version of Metal Sonic. But this au is actually mostly about Sonic & Tails's relationship. Sonic has a quarter life crisis.

Boom au where Tails does become Eggman's lab assistant - ok so you know how in like episode 3 Tails offers to become Eggman's lab assistant for the return of his robot, but then the team gets him out before he signs the contract? But what if they were too late? This au is mostly Tails and Eggman being insufferable to each other, also it could be an interesting challenge to rewrite s1 episodes to be without Tails.

Au where Aosth Tails ends up in the Boom universe - exactly what it says it is. It's mostly shenanigans.

dickroyjoey anon from before, i solely have 3 thoughts:

robin marian has been accepted into my brain now (that art is adorable), and i think there should be 3 kids in total actually. i think lian and robin marian are around the same age (but lian is older) and i think there is a 3rd child from dickroy that comes later when they all collectively get a horrible case of baby fever

i think there could be a really extra angsty version of dickroyjoey if dickroy date in their teens then split up before ntt, then dickjoey date during ntt and whenever roy comes around there is a bunch of flirting and dick feels guilty but literally all 3 of them are flirting and clearly comfortable with it, then joey dying and the whole cheshire contract still go down (but handled better), dick is grieving bad and helping roy raise lian and then discovers he’s pregnant with joey’s baby and it’s a really difficult experience but roy is a great partner and step dad (you could even make angst worse with outsiders dickroy coparenting 2 kids edition), then joey comes back when he hears that dick had a baby and the baby’s age lines up with when they were together, then there’s a really big mess and lots of adjustment with joey coming back and meeting his child and it’s horrible and great,

i think they’d have to buy a house because roy adopts grant and they have 3 other children, and damian would visit constantly (i think he’d have more of a sibling/cousin relationship with the dickroyjoey kids but would refuse to call it that when he’s young at least), and with all the issues and problems it would also be really good and they’d be a family that bonds over music and teaches the kids a little bit of everything (art, science, nature skills, engineering, etc.) and dickroyjoey would really enjoy growing old with eachother

willow is tina’s third child with her ex, yasemin, though she was not even born yet when tina and the boys moved in with clementine and violet. because of that, clementine was the only mom willow had ever known aside from tina. she felt no connection to yasemin, especially after she found out the circumstances of their divorce. because she was born after the families had already joined together, she never went through a lot of the hard feelings and adjustment period that the boys did. all she knew was that this was her family and they all loved her very much! she was the baby of the family for quite a while and was definitely a little bit spoiled and doted on because of it.

as she got older, though, the roles started to reverse as she was the only sibling without any real family trauma (at least until daisy and robin were born). she became kind of the “mom sibling” and was very frequently the one that all of her siblings would go to for problem solving, advice, and emotional support. she was especially close with violet and was the only person that violet could completely open up to.

willow was a lifelong lover of the written word. she was both a reader and a writer and extremely clever and witty. she was naturally quite introverted outside of her family and small group of friends. she did later become an author and published several series of YA fiction books.

willow married rusty, who she dated off and on in high school and then rekindled with after university. together willow and rusty had one child, a boy they named atticus. though she would never tell anyone, she always sort of felt like she had “settled” for him in order to move out and get away from her siblings’ drama so she could live her own uncomplicated life. the two would later separate, though it was amicable and they coparented very well together. willow never quite found her fairytale to match the ones she wrote about but is satisfied with her quiet little life anyway.

Grian and Pearl are also his siblings with them being older. Grian is Tango’s architecture teacher and Pearl maintains the colleges garden and she is strict on making sure there is no litter.

Dimitri is a very active kid, he enjoys karate and the occasional game of soccer. When not in school he spends a lot of time at his mom’s gym, and is her biggest cheerleader during her boxing matches. They have a pretty good relationship, Nicole is pretty hands off with him, and he appreciates the independence, but it leads to him being pretty disrespectful the few times Nicole has had to go mom mode on him

Dante and Nicole dated in high school, where Nicole accidentally got pregnant. Dante did the best he could to help out, but they eventually decided they should go their separate ways. Dante hasn’t seen Dimitri since he was around 2.

When Dimitri got a bit older and Dante got settled with KC, Nicole and Dante decided try more of a coparenting situation. Dimitri was apprehensive at first, but quickly became friends with Naoko. After that, bonding with Dante and KC came pretty quickly.

When first meeting her, Naoko was as much of a girly girl as a person could be. Princess dresses, tea parties, dolls, the works, all of which she begged Dimitri to do with her. This was embarrassing at first, but he eventually got used to it.

One day Dimitri showed her his videogames, and she immediately hyper fixated on them, quickly matching and eventually surpassing her brother’s skill. She enjoys the cute little farming sims but is equally into more combat based games.

Imagine this sweet little seven year old suddenly dropping into professional gamer speak

Videogames quickly become their favorite bonding activity, as it’s something they enjoy equally !

Season 3 Designs

Dimitri (12) and Naoko (9)

I wanted to keep their basic armor vaguely matching, but not just pink and blue copies like the og skins. Since Naoko showed interest in the bow and arrow I gave her a lot of ranger inspired details, with the hood piece and leather bracers. I kept her outfit practical but still a bit femme, despite her serious expression here she’s still very much a little kid who likes pink and flowers.

For Dimitri I wanted him to have pieces of both of his parents. So he has some samurai inspired tunic and shoulder plates like Dante and arm wrappings like Nicole. And while in season 2 he uses his dads old katanas, in season 3 he’s switched to his own pair of short swords, he kind of wanted his own thing rather than copying his dad.

They’re mostly trained by Katelyn, with some occasional lessons with Dante. The art is definitely a bit misleading, they’re far from cool and composed warriors at this point. But they love training together, and are both eager to learn.

ludo had never been particularly motivate even as a child, and was the type to take two bites of his dinner before he was crawling and running around trying to look for the next fun and interesting thing. this fun and interesting thing turned out to be throwing balls around and hitting them; which gradually turned into quidditch-like tendencies. by the time ludo was eight, he was considered one of the better flyers of the family. his parents always encouraged him to be the best he could, and he really took this to heart. because of this, he has a crippling fear of disappointing his parents and himself.

upon starting hogwarts, it became pretty evident pretty quickly that ludo was not an academic. all of his grades struggled, except for his flying class, and he quickly fell behind on assignments. from taking a quaffle to the head ten too many times, his brother used to say. by the end of his first year, ludo was almost taken from school to focus on his athletic abilities rather than education, but a small part of him compelled him to want to stay at hogwarts. promising his parents he would do better next term, ludo was given one more chance to shape up.

along with attending professor hours after classes and a few older students donating their time and knowledge to help before exams, ludo is able to maintain an average just pleasing enough to his parents and the school. but he puts most of his effort into quidditch, and joins the team as a chaser in his first year.

at the end of his seventh year, ludo has a one night stand at a party and ends up becoming a young father to nigel. ludo makes the decision to take a year off school after nigel is born to spend time with his son. nigel's mother [WANTED CONNECTION] is not permitted to skip a year by her parents as she took the last few months of school off to hide the pregnancy once she began showing, and ended up missing her end of year exams. she returns to hogwarts for her eighth year. the two agree to coparent, and she visits the pair during her time off school.

ludo returns for his ninth year at hogwarts determined to do well while his son is being passed between grandparents back home. ludo, while not the brightest, is a fierce friend, and quite loyal to those who show it back. some people might find him quite obnoxious, but fatherhood has changed him just slightly into somebody a bit more concerned for the future of others - not just himself.

Incredibles 2

It was really exciting to see so many messages about Incredibles 2 in my inbox! I'm sorry that some of them had to sit for a while but I saw the movie a few days ago so the good news is that I’m ready to talk!

(This is NOT SPOILER FREE.)

Anon #1:

Hey, so I sent a message a while back about how, based on their character descriptions, the two new siblings (Winston and Evelyn) seem like they might be shippable. I just saw the movie and WOW, WERE THEY SHIPPABLE! The first scene especially could easily take place between love interests, and they spend a lot of time invading each other's personal space and alone in small rooms together ;) I don't want to say more because spoilers but they were VERY good.

Saw Inc2 and honestly Dash and Vi being like mini-parents to Jack Jack is my jam. My entire aesthetic. Theyre so great

I just saw the Incredibles 2 w my family and, without going into too many spoilers, I really enjoyed it.

First of all, I’ve got to talk about the new characters, sibling team Winston and Evelyn who play a huge role in Helen getting back into heroing again. In a lot of ways their personalities conflict, but in the end, it’s obvious from both ends that there’s a lot of love there.

Now, Dash and Violet! Of course we already loved them from the first movie but we got plenty more sibling moments in this one too. They bicker as most siblings that age do, but they make a great team and come together when it counts.

There’s also a couple moments when the Parr family is around Violet’s crush and Dash is obviously doing his best to embarrass her in front of him and taking a lot of glee in it. (I like to imagine he keeps doing that w any of her future would-be datemates, going out of his way to sabotage her love life and only realizing WAY belatedly that there might be an ulterior motive behind his actions.)

Also—in hindsight it’s already apparent in the first movie too, but this movie really cemented the idea in my mind that they’re like younger versions of their parents. Violet and her mom are similar in some ways, and even more so with Dash and his dad. In a lot of ways, Violet and Dash’s dynamic echoes Helen and Bob’s, and that of course makes it seem shippy to me even if it’s unintentionally so.

Just watched the incredibles 2 and I think the villain and her brother are super shippable. I thought she was his wife at first and then when I got to know she was her sister and an artist meanwhile he was a business man, I mean, wow they are the other's half so perfectly.

There's a scene in The Incredibles 2 where they go to a diner, and Violet spills water out of her nose upon seeing her crush work there, and Bob says, "I'm sorry, she usually doesn't drip like this." Apparently - according to some viewers' reactions - this line was meant to be innuendo.

Bob and Violet:

Lmao. I never would have interpreted that line that way and maybe I’m too innocent but I sincerely doubt it was intended that way. BUT that’s hilarious and I love it. I love the dirty minds of animated fandoms. 

Dash and Violet:

These two were great once again. I got giggly over all the times they were put in charge of Jack-Jack and had to work together like parents, trading him off and then teaming up to figure out how to handle him. I really love in both films that they ended up on their own and had to use their powers and minds together in order to win the day. I also 100% agree that they in so many ways mini versions of their parents - personality wise, looks wise, dynamic wise. The parallel game is strong. 

I also noticed that Dash - probably just in typical comedy little brother fashion - didn’t seem particularly interested in making sure Violet got her crush and was more likely to actively sabotage the effort than help. 

I also think it’s a little suggestive that when Violet finally got her date at the end, her entire family was there in the car, and then Violet ran off with them and abandoned her date. I’m sure it’s the beginning of a pattern in which crimefighting and being a super - a secret and a responsibility shared with a very limited number of people and most importantly and especially her family - always come first. 

Winston and Evelyn:

Even though we had talked about these new characters being siblings some time back, I was not expecting them to be so shippable! We saw how they are the perfect team - Evelyn is the creator/inventor, Winston is the seller/business end. They complement each other perfectly and have obviously made a great success of everything they have attempted together. It seems like they spend most of their time together and despite being middle-aged, neither one of them appears to have married. I totally agree that they were in close physical proximity a lot of the time - definitely noticeable to someone who was looking for it (like I was, ha). 

Plus Helen and Evelyn had that long conversation in which Evelyn’s relationship with her brother was quite explicitly paralleled with Helen’s relationship with her husband. 

The ending really showed how much they loved each other, and they overcame a lot of the unfortunate tropes involving villain sibling(s). Evelyn thought Winston was a “child” for thinking that bringing supers back was a good idea and she obviously had at least a little contempt for Winston’s side of the business, even if she had to respect and admire how good he was at it. But aside from crushing his dream of bringing supers back, her beef was not with him and she didn’t want him to get hurt. And then Winston was grateful when he learned that Helen had managed to stop Evelyn without killing her. He still loves her very much. 

Good stuff. I really want to watch the Evelyn/Winston scenes again.

Now, when it comes to Hunter’s parental figure, I love the idea of Dadrius as much as anyone else. I also love Mama Eda, Raven Mom Lilith, Politely Confused Stepdad Alador, Exasperated Parental Unit Raine, and of course, Mamì Camila.

So like….why can’t we have them all?

No, I’m not talking about some weird mega-ship. I’m talking the most chaotic coparenting anyone’s ever seen. Hunter went from no parents to too many parents. And as to what that looks like…

- Post-DOU, once everything worked out and all the families were reunited, there were at least a few sets of custody battles. Alador and Odalia had a huge, drawn-out fight involving multiple sets of lawyers from both the Human and Demon Realms, Eda and Camila went through a very awkward phase of deciding where Luz would live (they settled on sharing a house with a door installed to the human realm so Vee could come and go as she pleased) and Amber’s aunt and uncle appeared out of the woodworks briefly to cause issues for Raine*. However, the biggest argument ended up being over Hunter. After a lot of bickering, some name-calling, and one impromptu sparring match, they settled on a split custody schedule where Hunter would go back and forth between Alador and Darius’s apartment and the Owl House with Eda, Raine and Camila (Lilith gets every other weekend). Hunter was incredibly confused as to what all the fuss was about.

- Hunter wasn’t sure who exactly he was supposed to call Mom and Dad at first. In fact, he was actually really nervous about it. Of course, when he came clean about it, everyone was incredibly supportive. One of the few things all of the adults actually agreed on was that they’d love him no matter what. Eventually, he settled on calling Camila ‘Mom’ or ‘Mamí’ (Luz taught him some Spanish) and Darius various versions of ‘Dad’. Eda and Raine he addresses by their first names (though he had to be talked out of calling them ‘Ms’ or ‘Mx’ Clawthorne-Whispers in the beginning) and he eventually started calling Lilith ‘Auntie’ like Luz and King. He insists on calling Alador ‘Stepfather’. No one can convince him otherwise. 

-Camila is the BIGGEST soccer mom when it comes to her babies having sports games (though she isn’t exactly the biggest fan of the Gland Prix- racing is just such a dangerous sport even when it’s not a hundred feet in the air). Hunter has a whole cheering section at his flyer derby games, and Camila is always the loudest. She and Eda also always help each other put on Emerald Entrails facepaint. 

- The parents have unspoken designations for who helps Hunter with what. Darius is the one to take him shopping and help him with his clothes and possessions. Camila is there for friendship drama and girl troubles (cough cough, Captain, cough). Raine takes him to therapy and sometimes sits through it with him, Eda is in charge of checking on him when he has nightmares, and Alador and Lilith tag-team homework duties. Lilith has also made it a personal goal to make sure Hunter doesn’t grow up to be like her. 

- Hunter has SO MANY STEP/ADOPTED SIBLINGS. So, so many. Siblings list includes

Amity (stepsister)

The twins (stepsiblings)

Gus (unofficial little brother)

Luz (adopted sister)

King (adopted step(?)brother)

Vee (adopted stepsister...half sister? I dunno?) 

The baby BATTs- Derwin, Amber and Katya- (yeah no I’m done doing this)

Steve (Steve doesn’t belong to any of the parents, Steve’s just everyone’s big brother)

Hunter has mastered the art of being a big brother. Being a little brother, on the other hand? That’s new, and he’s not really sure how to feel about it. Steve and the older two BATTs are very persistent, however, and he grows to like it- especially the part where they gang up on the younger ones a bit. Luz, Amber, King, Amity and Vee don’t like that part as much (they’re still grumpy about the last family pillow war). 

- Hunter goes through his teen rebel stage a bit late. Glasses of apple blood are often shared between parents over the exasperated exchanging of stories about loud music, ripped clothes and dyed hair. No one will admit to having taken him to get his ears pierced, though they all have their suspicions (and they’re so busy shooting looks in Eda’s direction that they don’t notice how red her spouse’s ears have turned). 

- Gwendolyn and Dell ADORE their scraggly teenage grandson. Gwendolyn often fusses over him, asking if he’s eating enough or tutting over the bags under his eyes. Dell is thrilled when Hunter expresses an interest in learning about Palismen and his own origins, and immediately offered to take him with him on his trips into the Palistrom groves. They now go every Friday night together. 

In conclusion...I dunno, found families make the brain go brrrrrr. 

*Amber, Katya and Derwin are Raine’s kids and I won’t be taking criticism. Also, I’ve made up a lot of head canons about Amber and that’s one of them. It’s not super important.
