the way we see hannibal fight in the show would not be at all how he fights will if they got into a fist fight or something physical. because when hannibal fought tobias and jack he had no regard for the survival or well being of his opponent. he killed tobias and was more than willing to kill jack. if he fought will, he'd drag it out as long as possible because deep down he wouldn't want to kill or permanently harm will, and the whole time he'd be hoping something sexy would happen at the end of it

rewatching the first episode of Hannibal and holy shit I forgot how good this is but it's actually insane that Brian fuller set up the ep like this, he introduces will and Hannibal by first briefly showing them at their core, at the darkest, most vile part of them---we get a glimpse behind the curtain---and then its gone, the curtain is snapped shut and we see their masks, their human suits.

Will empathizes with killers because he likes it, and he wants to kill but he refuses to give into the urge because he knows how much he'll like it and he won't be able to stop. So he lives vicariously through other killers, satisfying his own dark urge by feeding it little morsels of secondhand blood lust. Every crime scene he works gives the urge something that satisfies it, not enough for it to grow, but enough for it be sate. Enough that he can ignore it for long enough that he can walk around and be Professor Will Graham who is Weird, Brash, and Non-sociable.

And Hannibal is a cannibal at night and a psychiatrist by morning.

let me start off by answering the obvious question: where the hell did you go for 4 months straight??? basically I went thru something in early december and I lost all my motivation for everything but schoolwork (and rv ofc I streamed chill kill don't play) and everytime I gained my motivation back I would make a mb I didn't like and get frustrated and delete the app, get sick and give up (like I almost did today I have a 101 fever rn 😭) or I just forgot about Tumblr all together (especially in January uhm) but SOMEHOW and SOMEWAY I gained 500 followers while being complete mia 😧 SO THANK YOU SMMMMMMMMMMMMM?????!?!?!? next month will mark a full year since I started posting on this acc and I've probably been active for only half of the year with some real eye twitching icky mbs (not my joy ones though love all my joy mbs) yet y'all are still this nice to me omg??
