hello there! I have a hypothetical question, hopefully it hadn't already been asked, heh.

In the Decay and LTRL AUs, early on in the stories, Luisa shoves Isabela away from Mirabel and injures her on the back, although thankfully not severely. BUT! My question is, what do you think would have happened if Luisa had accidentally broken Isabela's back?

ooh that's a good question. I think... it depends on how severely damaged Isabela's back was; was it only the bone damaged or was the cord also affected??

Either way, a fresh wound like that would still be treatable by Julieta; so the chances were that the damage would be fixed by either one. the bones heal straight away. The cord may take a few days with Julieta's food to heal. Julieta got there pretty quickly to help Mirabel, so she would be there quick to cater to Isa's damaged back.

Isabela would be healed physically.

Mentally, she would get given a bucket load of trauma for it. Ultimately, she would be scared of Luisa just as Mirabel is scared of Isabela (less so, in comparison as what Luisa did was sudden and unexpected; not slow going or as targeted as what Isa did to Mirabel.).

She'd have recurring nightmares of the incident, including the vivid lingering sensation of not feeling her lower body (if the cord was damaged)--this could have reawoken some bed-wetting as a sort of psychological response when the lack of feeling spikes in those instances.

Isa would avoid Luisa like the plague, or if they were forced to be in the same room, stay away or the furthest seat possible. She'd be...hyperfocused on Luisa's movements to ensure she wasn't gonna get tossed.

Luisa may not...get into as much trouble bc she was saving Mirabel. Luisa would be guilty about harming someone, even her own sister, regardless of justification. The fact Isa would be so weary of her is also not a good feeling for Luisa. She's upset about it, but...she'd get annoyed by it as well after a few months of it. Luisa's still very much in the middle of both sides of the frustration of knowing she wasn't gonna hurt Isa again and empathy of why Isa's so weary of her.

The adults... how they react would also vary.

Alma would be upset but relieved that no one was killed. At most, she'd insist Luisa stop her chores in town until she made sure not to use her gift with any sense of underestimation; she sees that there was a lack of control that could have easily killed and could have easily crippled someone. This could have easily dug Luisa's insecurities far faster to the rest of the family about her gift.

Bruno would probably be the same as in the original, distant but would try to be supportive of the family either way

Pepa would be...upset but would stay out of the mess to avoid the emotional whiplash that getting involved would entail, but, she could do her best to try and care for her nieces. She may actually gravitate to Luisa given the girl holds so much in emotionally; she could see more and try to get her to let it out.

Felix would be a very in-the-mess sort of guy. He would visit Isabela if she had to heal for longer; make sure she was okay and all. He'd check in with Mirabel as well, same reasons then he's check in with Luisa and make sure she was okay. He'd also help with Pepa when it came to getting Luisa to talk. Very non-judgemental which helps.

Julieta would be.... devastated at the hurt all of her children had done to each other. None of them would want to be in the same room together out of fear and trauma which tears her side of the family apart and she'd burn out far quicker and struggle to balance herself. She'd depend more on Alma for order and control of the situation. Seeing Isa both a victim and a perpetrator is hard and seeing her struggle with instances of trauma (like the bedwetting) would be very difficult. Trying to sooth Mirabel as well--she'd probably be less involved with Luisa in comparison to her other two daughters.

Agustin would be...a champion to keep his all daughter's morale up. He's checking in with all of them and probably would get Isabela moved to his parent's house sooner for the sake of sanity of everyone involved. He'd defo try better to get Julieta away from the alcohol as well once he realises. He'd defo be the support for Luisa that she needs in her immediate family. He wouldn't be weary or scared of her.

Dolores would...probably be the same as in the original stories; Luisa saved Mirabel, and just happened to Isabela get hurt as well. She'd probably help Isa more in dealing with some of her new trauma responses more privately to spare Isa humiliation of it.

Camilo would be much more of a prick. He'd probably be glad Luisa got 'pay back' for Isa harming Mirabel and would certainly and unintentionally make Luisa feel guilty with his praise on the matter. That said, he'd probably keep Anotnio away from Luisa for a few weeks, not that the two interacted much beforehand. But he'd definitely be glad that Isa got hurt. If he found out about Isa's bed-wetting, he'd defo would mock the girl for it (until Pepa told him off for it)

Antonio, the little bean would be... well he's five and not sure what to think but all he sees is his family fighting between themselves so he's much quieter and withdrawn; trying to be with his sister, and parents or would probably stay around Mirabel and Bruno much more as well. he has little opinion about Luisa's actions; he knows she saved his favourite person.

Mirabel would be the most...conflicted person out of everyone if Isabela got a broken back out of it. She'd be both scared of Isa and also worried for her. She certainly didn't want her to get hurt and doesn't think a broken spine was justified, even in the heat of the moment but... it happened. Her family is even more broken up and she'd probably internalise a lot of what Luisa did to Isa onto herself for being the catalyst for Isa to snap to start with. She would be weary of Luisa but not scared of her either, not like how she'd be scared of Isa. Mirabel defo would need therarpy, like the rest of the family to handle this.

I don't want it to sound mean or anything, but... I don't understand the Mama Dolores AU... I don't mind, if anyone likes it, but how it started? Out of all X Madrigal adopts Mirabel this one is... just the one can't see it happening...

Can I just ask... where it came from? Why Dolores out of all people? I can understand Bruno, Isabela, Antonio, Pepa... heck, even Alma, but Dolores? Didn't she, like, snitched Mirabel out twice in the movie? I can see them being close, but not as mother and daughter.

I just want to know the backstory of this AU-

Hey all good! So um. The original Mamalores (there are a few version, but personally I default to the classic), from what I see, is basically Mirabel having followed Dolores around, even before her ceremony, like a duckling. Dolores was like 'oh cool I'm. Adopting her now). It's definitely OOC, don't get me wrong, but I think it's cute.

You sat alone at the counter of the local bar. The only one in Encanto. It was your birthday. Just turned 20 and your friends had run off with douchebag boys who had offered to buy them drinks for a dance. That was almost an hour ago. ready to go home You rest it with your cheek pressed against your hands, elbows propped on the counter staring into your drink.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Someone sat down beside you. You turned to look at him and he looked familiar but you couldn't quite place where you knew him from. He was a bit older, scruffy but handsome. He wasn't very tall and slouched in his seat but his voice… his voice made up for it.

"Keep your penny." you smile a bit, straightening up your back and picking up your drink to hide away the grin. "I'm thinking about how I'm turning 20 tonight. and my friends ditched me for some assholes."

"Would you look at that…" he muttered, tossing back his drink.

"huh? looks like we're thinking about the same thing. I got ditched by my literal sisters. It's our birthday. triplets."

"No way."

Tell me something that I'll forget

"Yes way! What's your name, kid?"

"y/n."

"Want a drink?"

"you know what... I'll take you up on that offer, Senor…?"

"Madrigal. Bruno Madrigal." He was nervous after stating his name but you just smiled. it suits him.

"Why are you sweating, Madrigal? You look nervous."

"Usually when I say my name people go running."

"oh?"

the two of you talked. What felt like hours for getting more drunk last time went on. You can continue having conversation but neither of you could remember anything the other had just said. You couldn't even remember how you got to la casa de Madrigal.

Bruno opened the door to the house whispering over his shoulder

"shhh the kids. my nieces and nephews they're sleeping. One of them, Dolores, has a good ear." You let out a drunken giggle holding your finger to your lips to signal that you understood to be quiet. He smiled at you and grabbed your hand pulling you through the house to his room. You stared in wonder at all of the glowing wooden doors. whispering excitedly as Bruno opened his "that's so cool." he chuckled softly "most people think so."

It's crazy what you'll do for a friend

He pulled you through the door closing it behind him. "Dude, best birthday ever- i made friends with a magic man." The word friends lingered in the air. Bruno had never really had a friend and you... You were drunk and emotional. your friends had just ditched you on your birthday and thinking about them even though you were in a magic house to distract you still felt sad. Bruno turned and started heading towards his bed hidden away behind his stairs with you right on his heels.

"Hey Bruno? we're friends right?"

"Of course kid." he smiled to himself, going through his clothes for a t-shirt. pulling out a purple one. He holds it up to you. "need to change?"

You smile and take it from him "thank you sir." you salute sloppily.

The word sir sends tingles down his spine and he stares at you with wide eyes. in a drunken state of mind you begin undressing in front of him and he quickly turns around trying to be a gentleman. "warning please, kid."

"What, you've never seen a body before? don't worry you can look. I don't mind. we're friends, remember?" You click your tongue tossing your clothes off to the side and stretching out your back "and don't call me kid. I told you my name. Did you already forget?" he had.

"No. But you're still just a little (girl/boy) compared to me. so I'll call you kid." liar.

"Well I'm good anyway. you can look now." You roll your eyes as a shirt falls down your torso.

you crawl into his bed feeling the nice sheets touch your skin. Bruno laid next to you and and you scoot closer. "Happy birthday, Bruno."

"Happy birthday, kid." a tear falls down your cheek and Bruno couldn't help but admire how pretty you looked when you cry.

"Bruno. we're friends right? Will you help me?"

"with what?"

"maybe im really fucking drunk but i really want to kiss you."

You straddle the fortune teller. webbing your hand into his curls. "Is that ok?"

"ye- yeah. of course. anything for a friend."

Nobody does it like you do

I know how much it matters to you

you lower your lips to meet his, they were a little chapped, but they taste like good liquor. Bruno had only ever kissed one other person before back before he got his bad reputation into a small and cute childish kiss. This was different; nobody had ever treated him like you did. you pull away for second

"Is that ok, sir?" your eyes look like they were begging for praise. "I want to make sure that I do good. I've never really...done this before."

"You're doing so well…" he muttered.

I know that you got daddy issues

His hand rested on your waist under his t-shirt. pulling you closer forcing you to move in his lap and both of you let out a small sound of pleasure at the friction.

y/n whimpered softly and squealed his name, which shocked Bruno, his grip tightened on your body but either you didn't notice, or you didn't care.

I'd do whatever I could do...

he felt a hand tug at the bottom of his shirt and y/n spoke with a breathless whisper. "please... can we-."

"Whatever you want, I've got you."

I'd run away and hide with you

As Spider-Man, Peter Parker has seen magic before, and probably knows what to say to the group of people standing before him.

"Hi, I’m Peter. So, you’re, like, superheroes too? Friendly neighborhood... magical family?" His voice trails off a bit as he watches the doors behind the family flap, seemingly of their own volition. “Whoa, cool house.”

The stocky man and the boy who might be about Peter’s age exchange skeptical glances, while the elderly woman steps forward, clearing her throat and staring Peter down. In her eyes, he must appear like a total weirdo, a teenage boy wearing a strange skin-tight outfit with some kind of... spider motif. At least his face is visible.

“Somos los Madrigal. ¿Quién es?”

“Oh, boy,” Peter breathes. He’d made an assumption. “Right. Spanish. Time to make Señora Torres proud.”

He proceeds to search his memory for the word for neighborhood. As he does, the girl with dark curly hair and big green glasses steps forward. She takes the elderly woman’s arm and whispers to her. It’s much too fast for him to follow, but he thinks he hears “Casita.”

The old woman looks vulnerable and austere at the same time as she sighs and inclines her head toward the girl, who waves at Peter to get his attention.

“Este... ¿Habla español?”

“Um,” Peter replies. “Sí? Pero. No hablo español, er, muy bien.” He pauses. Introductions are still in order. “Also, hola, me llamo Peter.”

The girl smiles despite his bumbling. Some of the other members of her family have begun to smile too: the woman in a teal dress who bears a strong resemblance to her, the youngest child with a toucan perched on his shoulder. A couple of them, like the small, tired-looking man in a green poncho, who’s hovering near the boy with the toucan, are regarding him with quite anxious, yet steady, expressions.

“Soy Mirabel,” the girl is saying. A quick pucker of her lips indicates the constellation of people around her. “Mi familia, los Madrigal. Y... el Encanto.” She spreads her arms wide.

“Peter,” Mirabel continues, a bit shyly, with a glance at the elderly woman and the subtly nodding woman in the teal dress. “¿Tiene... hambre?” Above her, the house’s shingles bounce (Ohh, ‘Casita,’ Peter realizes).

“Sure— Uh, bien. I mean, sí. Gracias.” If he ever gets home, at least he’ll be able to assure Aunt May that he was a polite guest.

“Venga, Peter,” the woman in teal says.

With that, he starts to follow this magical family, the Madrigals, into their magical house.

I also could’ve written it like, Bruno had a vision of Spider-Man’s arrival 🤔 Ah well. Also: Modern AU? Spider-Man time-travel? Who knows!

So we know Luisa does tiktok dancing in Surface Pressure and obviously this was just a fun little reference to tiktok BUT if we ignore that and just focus on the Canon universe of Encanto it means one of two things

Either:

Luisa's dancing was so iconic it was documented and would later become the inspiration for the tiktok dances

Or, the alternative which is so much funnier to me

Bruno uses his visions to watch tiktok, saw the dances, and taught them to Luisa.

Lol, so i watched Avatar 2 yesterday and now my brain is like ‘you can do an Encanto AU of that’ and i’m like how and now... i have this idea in my mind of the whole Mulietverse, Encanto family Unit being dropped off in Pandora by The Architects who changed their forms to help hide them, but they still have their magical gifts...

like a crossover, but temporary. Maybe the group needed to hide from a rogue group of Watchers or something so the Architects got involved and hide them all onto the planet when escaping through the timelines/AUs.

imagine Navi-!formed Shifter Antonio turning into a Tulkun and turning back like... how would the reef clan react?? And Decay Isabela! She could probably grow so many Pandiroan plants! tho i’m in debate if she should have flesh arms for the Nav’vi body or have new prostheses, Pariah too; they can’t swim with metal limbs.

Okay i have an idea,

We see bruno as a baby with brown/hazel eyes and then later in the movie they are green? Does that mean that his eyes burned the green into them from having visions? Imagine how painful that mustve been on the day of his gift ceremony just pepa and julieta happy and bright then bruno screaming in pain as his eyes are burning to the point that if he was a normal human hedve gone blind and then him hiding in his room after while everyone danced and played in julietas and pepas rooms

It must be a nice memory for his sisters that day but for him it mustve been agonising and traumatising
