I finally got around to polishing off my shader preset Fledgling. It was created to make Sims 4 feel more like Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, along with some general improvements to how the game looks.

To me this green/blue hue puts me right in the mood for some sneaky L.A. vampire buisness. and i added different some grain to boost that early 2000's game feeling!

This is the preset i use on all my Sims 4: Bloodlines posts, and i don't do any further editing to my pictures!

The preset has been tested and works on both Ghade and Reshade!

Grain and ADOF (blur effect) can be toggled on and off!

Grain Toggle: Shift + 3 ADOF Toggle: Shift + 2

Before you install

If you use Reshade

Depending on your version of Reshade you need to follow THIS tutorial and add THESE files to your Reshade shaders folder.

AND change your RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED setting value from 1 to 0!

Other than that, simply install as usual:)

TS3 - Red To Gold Colour Mod for TS3 World  Adventures EP’s “FountainAsia2x2″

I don’t work for Maxis The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, I don’t work for EA Shanghai, I’m just correcting Maxis The Sims 3 Studio employee’s job due to incorrectly and horribly wrong of Chinese dragon colour portrayal in Shang Simla’s World Adventures Expansion Pack.   

Do not just slap red colour to every Chinese object just because you think red is considered as lucky colour in Chinese culture. Especially this is statue and fountain to spurt water. To designers, please recall University subject of colour theory, culture, and art history.  

Chinese dragon is traditionally coloured GOLD. Not red. It’s obvious the employee who colored the Shang Simla’s dragon fountain must be taking stereotype from Mushu, comedic tiny red “dragon” from animated movie Disney’s Mulan (1998), didn’t consult to Chinese person at all. 

Chinese dragons are gods who control rain, weather, and seasons. 

Chinese dragons are kind, benevolent, powerful, who bring luck and prosperous. In Chinese New Year, there is Dragon Dance (the dragon has gold colour) as symbol for good luck.

Changes:

Overlay --> Change colour to Gold 

Specular --> More shinier to resemble gold dragon statue in real life

Buyable object has automatic gold colour default replacement from catalogue. 

Known issues: 

There are old thumbnails unchanged on CAS mode, please ignore it. The Dragon color is still gold. 

Dragon fountain in Shang Simla doesn’t automatically change to gold colour due to different coding in-game (it has different fountain stone colour too). ❗ You need to install Nraas’ Debug Enabler (Core mod by Twallan) in order to work correctly ❗

Follow these steps to reset the textures: 

Click on the fountain > Nraas > Debug Enabler > Options: The Water Breathing Dragon > Objects... > Reset Textures > (Choose one) All Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.Environment.FountainAsia2x2 or This Object

Yeah, I bet no one was expecting to see this story again. I initially deleted it (and all my other stories) because I’d lost interest in Splatoon and any motivation for writing Agent 24 fics, but after watching the most recent trailer for Side Order I decided to reupload this story, because I’m still proud of it and it perfectly represents my love for this ship and for Three and Eight ❤️🦑❤️🐙

I initially wrote this when I was going through a rough patch in my life and at the time I’d only been interested in writing fluff but I became inspired to revisit it and expand upon it during my seven month journey leading up to the second trailer for Side Order.

I don’t have any plans to reupload any of my other works right now, but maybe (emphasis on maybe) I’ll write more original agent 24 fics once Side Order comes out?

I have a basic idea of how I want my Agents to be portrayed and what names I want them to have; for anyone who is wondering, my current interpretation of Agent 3 is meant to be autistic (cause I myself am on the spectrum).

I honestly can’t guarantee anything will happen in the future, but this story will still remain up for anyone who wants to see it.

here's my sim, she's a spellcaster named Delia. i first saw this cas challenge around an hour after it was uploaded and i immediately got to work on my sim. that was 1 month ago. you don't understand the snail pace i work at. didn't help that there was a big patch update so i spent 90% of my time cleaning out broken mods. it's also been about 6 years since i last used photoshop, forgot how difficult it is to use. also i'm bad at it but i tried my hardest! mostly. i have 0 followers that aren't bots, so no one will really see this but idc i'm still gonna post it! anyways, she's finally done and i love her. thank you @wildmelon for the fun challenge! <3

The Ending of BELLE, Hints of what might had happened to the brothers.

Honestly, this is something many of us has felt when we either left the cinema after watching this film. Its not that its that bad, and the songs and characters are really good and the story gives a good enough Beauty and the Beast bibe. And the A Million Miles Away scene its a masterpiece. But the thing that bothers and kinda ruins the vibe of the film its that ending did left most us with a terrifying and unsatisfied feeling. Especially with What happened to Dragon aka Kei and Angel aka Tomo after that.

I know they did felt rushed to the ending, but they could have at least included epilogue scenes in the credits like Ghilbi films and A Whisker Away. And even if some said tgat it was a bit realistic because What can a girl like Zuzu do in this situation besodes giving them support? But that doesnt mean they should leave that in the dark and the imagination of viewers ( either the dad was arrested or out into parenting and anger management classes, they confronted him and home, and Kei became an example of abuse survivors, even some say that the dad beated them to death while Zuzu was in the train back home) . Even in Wolf Children we saw what became of the siblings.

Even though i saw some things that might had a lead of small hints and theories of what might had happened to them.

1. The time that passed. I dont know much how social services work on Japan, but in the film said that when an abuse is reported they can't act or do something until 48 hours are up after the call. And seeing the time it probably took for Zuzu to get to the city and the rain of the scene, which might had either been morning or evening, and also that in wikipedia and some reviews said that she came back home the day after she protected the brothers,maybe she stayed with them when the 48 hours have passed and authorities could be contacted and act, especially since he had a phone.

2. The viral video: Something that my parents taught me its that what you put online its almost imposible to erase, and i dont think this case would have been an exception. Im not sure how the dad got the notification of that video, either the new video alert or a co worker, but even if he reported that video ( if THAT kind of videos can even be reported and especially if Hiroka used either her or an anonymous account) the damage was already done, and its most likely a bunch of people, maybe even some conected to authorities, saw the proof of his abuse and even IF it ended up blocked or deleted many must had already seen it and probably downloaded and either them or Hiro would probably reupload it and maybe even recognized him from the video Zuzu first saw them in when he pretended them to be a "happy" family. Anyway, his reputation its already been damaged and cannot be undone no matter what he do.

3. The patch in Zuzu's cheek: im not sure if this was something taken acccount of but Zuzu must had gotten patched up in the cheek she got scratch from by the dad and she must had gotten it somewhere. Im not sure if Zuzu had the age to have a card to buy it in a store, and if he had money she would have probably used it or had olny enough for the train ride. So there might be a chance that some authorities arrived and maybe did some first aid on her.

4. Kei's stronger courage and confidence: Many have said that he had already enough courage and that might never change things, but sometimes its not just about avoiding the storm but surviving and overcoming it. These two had tried speaking up to toher about what hapoened but it usually led to empty empathy, deaf ears, inaction, misjudgement, and them saying he had changed when he didnt. This kinda started to lead Ryu to the point of giving up ( on both other people and emotionally) and having a mental breakdown, which its probably why he became so violent, and the breaking point was when the castle got destroyed. But Belle/Zuzu's actions gave him the strenght he needed to get his confidence back, amd even if social services may or may not act and move them out, he said he will be stronger, maybe to the point of finally confronting his father without giving in into his, fear, fists and anger and maybe confronting him for his treatment and maybe even mention their grief over their mother's death, especially with the new side he saw of his father in the confrontation.

5. They now know the dad's "weakness": Tomo and Kei's dad is an example of bad coping mechanisms, his abuse and violent behavior probaly came from mourning the death of his wife, even though that its not an excuse for his mistreatment against his own children who were having the same grief and were the last things he had from her. Not to mention that he was a weasel by even pretending to be a good father in public while at home he was a complete different person. He was so terrible some even said he might be Justin's identity. He even dared to hurt Zuzu and blaming her of breaking their family apart when it was him doing it. But there is one thing i learned from Zuko's dad in the last airbender and AFO in My Hero Academia: their power doesnt come from their strenght or authority over others, but through their fear. Kei was the one who took the hits because Tomo couldnt and none had fought back their father, and if they did they probably still had fear visible and their saw and used this to overpower them. But Zuzu changed all that for him when for the first time someone didnt give in into or even reacted to his intimidating fist and anger and looked up to him without a glimpse of fear in her eyes. This is when we see him for who he truly is: not a invincible monster, but a weak amd broken coward who hurt others to deal with his own pain. This led him to have a breakdown and state of shock ( some even said he might even had a realization and tiny glimpse of possible redemotion, unlikely but it could) and it became too much for him that he run to the hills with his tail between his legs. We dont know if he was arrested or confronted by their new confident and strong children, but if it happened who knows how he could have reacted to it, sometimes people's reactions can surprise us you know. Most think he may had a last straw in temper but given his reaction there is also the possibility of him breaking down emotionally with how his power and fear over other is starting to fade away and with that video of abuse released he might had realized its all over for him. And if services do take action his wish of his children leaving might come true.

Even though a solid and comfirmed ending and epilogue would have been good in this film, so it wouldnt have to leave us with a bittersweet taste. in

Today i discovered your blog for the first time, and I would like to say if I had known earlier then I could've made my boys proper metal heads. Though I suspect some of the tees I have on them currently are yours anyways, only now I know the source of that CC and can properly link to it in the future !

As you scroll through my blog you'll probably notice I'm not into death metal, though I must say I don't mind most of them bands. I have a very strange taste in my music choices I've been told more then once, from GNR to Savatage and Disturbed and Sabaton feature high on my list too...

I'm not the youngest anymore and, due to my disability and age, moving is nearly impossible for me nowadays which I regret greatly because among other things I cannot visit my favorite festivals anymore (think Graspop in Belgium and Wacken Open Air in Germany).

But the Sims is a great past time for me. I can control everything in that little world where IRL everything seems out of my hands and no matter how hard I rage against my body it just wont listen.

Ok then now for the reason to this rant to a random stranger, ...

I don't know if you still do requests and I'm kind of shy asking for stuff, but maybe if you have some spare time, could you please consider making my boys some tee's ? Like with Savatage logo's on them , or Trans Siberian Orchestra...

sorry to hear about your condition, but glad you found respite in sims. i know for a long time i used it similarly, too depressed to take care of myself so i took care of little pixels and it made me feel like i accomplished something. in a similar boat with no festivals but because of finances and being in the USA where they are all crappy nu metal features.... i've never been to any kind of show irl. most of my faves being dead as doornails doesn't help either! lol

and it is funny, a few of my characters i imagine liking savatage too, probably shoulda made some shirts for them sooner but i'm lazy. left has a savatage patch on her battle jacket :)

TS3 - Shang Simla Forbidden City Icon MOD

One of the most fatal mistakes that EA Maxis' The Sims 3 Studio in San Francisco, USA ever done to Shang Simla, China world in The Sims 3 World adventures: Using image of Torii Gate, from Japan, for China world icon.

For 13 years after release of The Sims 3 World Adventures Expansion Pack, finally I did the fix for the icon. Creating this icon default replacement is actually difficult because

editing the vector in very small scale size. 64x64 px, 57x57 px, 38x38 px, 32x32 px, 21x21 px... 

I chose Forbidden City as icon for Shang Simla because Forbidden City is only existed in Beijing, China. Shang Simla has its own “Sim-ified” Forbidden City building in the center of the World.

I haven’t tested the whole gameplay showing this new icon, but I have already done the edit for all image icons with keyword “beijing” “china” on S3PE. If you found any icon that hasn’t been replaced, please report to me.
