Danny sighs as the sound of a falling shelf reaches him, quickly followed by twin snarls. He takes a breath, even if he hasn’t needed to breathe since he was fourteen, and counts to ten as he pauses in making dinner. 

“Ellie, Dan, what’ve I said about throwing each other into the shelves-” 

He stops as he comes to the living room doorway, both of the gremlins freezing mid-stuffing an unconscious vigilante out the window, feathers puffed up. Dear Ancients he does not want to deal with this today, but it’s not like life ever cared about what he wants in any situation. 

“Elnath, Jordan, you better not be about to toss that person out the window-”

Prompt 245

Now Danny would openly admit, if only to himself, that he had a type when it came to relationships. If they were strong, if they were a threat to him, then chances were he would develop some sort of crush. It was how he had dated Sam and Valerie (And Johnny & Kitty) when he was a bit younger, and hell, Sam had technically succeeded in killing him, even if partly. 

Attraction towards smart people who could kill him was honestly par for the course for a Fenton or Nightingale anyway. 

And he’d also admit he enjoyed a bit of time travel, learning about times and culture long before his time, to the point that he could blend in in ancient times just as easily as the time he had been born in. That it was natural to mutter in a language lost to time. 

So color him surprise when another man perks up in the bar he had paused to get a drink in, vibrant green eyes gleaming in interest and responds in turn. And not just in the language, but able to keep up when he talks about things that once existed but haven’t been rediscovered yet. 

And one thing led to the other, and there might have been some assassins and some shenanigans that end with them both laughing together in an inn and then more and- Okay he has a type alright, and he’s ticking each box! How is that fair?

So like superhero teenagers :DDDD imma ramble a lot under the cut and also put individual shots of them

Um so like I needed to character design as a palette cleanse from the background art (don’t worry Im determined to get to the asks at one time or another) so I revived a story I made a few years ago and like :D there’s something about teen superheroes in a team that just gets me every time, like Sky High? Fantastic. This one random marvel kids movie that I can’t remember the name of but watched soooo much back in the day? Spectacular. My comfort book, “The Class Villain” by Coral Elizabeth and Katherine Lee, that plays with the concept of what makes heroes heroes and villains villains and that I think is recommended bc the only other person I’ve seen talk about it is my sister who I told about it. My bread and butter.

But yeah I had the idea of a several season episodic type show where the superheroes go to school for superheroing a few years back and it never really got anything more than a few sketches, so now is the time to revive it apparently

Past me accidentally set up future me for a really interesting thing thematically tho which I appreciate. It’s semi inspired by the whole “autism is a superpower” thing in a way bc all of them are neurodivergent and/or disabled in some way, some of it resulting directly from their power, some less so. In their world, the superhero industry isn’t the most inclusive but their school is starting a new program to actually include people who need whatever accommodations. They’re kinda the test run so it’s they are they’re whole class but if possibility for additional classmates could be a thing in the future 🤷‍♀️

But yeah that’s the very broad overview so like if you wanna inquire about specific characters (or all of them bc I haven’t really given any specifics on them at all teehee) feel free :D I’ll also probably get around to making some little intro posts for them at some point to so we’ll just see I guess

No actually here’s teeny intros for each of them: Ryker is the aloof rich boy who learns how to have friends (Fish is his service dog), Bellamy is a book loving daydreamer who learns self love, Angelo is the resident tough guy (who has to actively fight the cute allegations) who learns that it’s okay to need help, Opal is the reliable and ambitious one of the group who learns that she doesn’t have to prove anything to the people around her, and Benjamin is the chill guy with mysterious inner conflict that learns that hiding things from his friends never works out in the end.

PETER MAXIMOFF APPRECIATION POST AND A RANDOM FACT ABT ME THAT I'M GONNA YAP ABOUT!

i've just unlocked a new comfort character and it's the literal sweetheart, peter maximoff! I've just been seeing posts abt him and watching some clips of him. Honestly, I'm already considering him as the best comfort character that I have. I have diagnosed adhd and the adhd side of me feels drawn to him in a feeling that I can't explain. The feeling is just too strong that I couldn't explain but it's not strong in an unhealthy way. In fact, the feeling makes me feel contented everytime I read stuffs about him. Well there's some post i've seen that peter gives some kind of vibes of an 'undiagnosed adhd guy' and it kinds of makes sense to me since i find him relatable in a lot of angles and is comforting. But, he's just really such a fun sweetheart. I love him for that! Now I want to learn his whole lore, peter is so fun to be a comfort character! 😭🤍

“Moom, there’s yellow-eyed creeps fighting ninjas outside the window again!” 

Danny sighed, taking a deep breath- in for ten, out for eight- as he set the pot he was cleaning back in the sink. Dan- currently six- came running in from the living room of the apartment, where he was watching TV. Or he should have been if not for the bullshit outside. 

He sighed again, picking up baby Ellie- currently closer to two- out of her highchair (even if she could just float out) and let his oldest drag him to the window. Sure enough, another fight was happening, with no vigilante in sight stopping it. Look, he knew most people didn’t live here, but it was still rude. 

“Jordan, remember how I told you how violence isn’t always the answer?” Danny asked sweetly, Dan’s expression shifting to a wicked grin as he opened the window. “Feel free to practice tossing some fireballs while I clean up your sister, yeah?” 

Ah, the sweet sound of surprised cursing and startled ecto-signatures. Maybe they’d be polite enough to take their spar elsewhere.
