“i didn't even know this part of the library existed.” rafe looks around at the tall bookshelves holding various very large textbooks.
“it's all the polisci books, hence why no one is over here.” you say as you move deeper into the section, to the isolated grouping of tables. you knew you already got lucky convincing your boyfriend to study, you don't want to push your luck by having him get annoyed with other students watching him.
rafe sets his computer bag down and pulls out his laptop, putting his back to the windows so he can keep an eye down the aisles of books, just in case anyone comes wandering by.
“okay.” you sit down next to him, pulling your chair closer. “i know your physics class is hard, but i also suck at physics so i don't know how much help studying im gonna be.”
“just having you here…” rafe trails off. you feel a flush come to your cheeks, rafe always managing to give you butterflies even though you've been together on and off since high school.
“okay.” you clear your throat, knowing you don't really need to be quiet with no one around. only the top floor of the library ever manages to stay silent, all the serious studiers know to immediately take the elevator up. “let's get started on the study guide i got from tiffy.”
your friend had a friend who had a friend who took the same physics class rafe is taking, and of course you convinced them to give you some study materials. it's not like you had to work hard, with rafes reputation on campus being what it is.
rafe nods and turns his attention to the crisp stapled together papers. you work with him through the questions, learning yourself as well for when you have to eventually take the class, wishing you chose a degree that didn't require so much natural science.
your focus shifts between sneaking looks at rafe and helping him, his brow furrowed and jaw hard set as he studies, making him look even more handsome than you thought possible.
“baby-” rafe groans, resorting to a pet name to get your full attention as you blink harshly. “you're distracting me.”
“you're the one being distracting.” you argue back, placing your elbow on the table and resting your chin in your hand, admiring your boyfriend unabashedly now that you've been caught.
“you're the one sitting there with that look on your face.”
“what look?” you hum out, lost in the thought of ripping rafes pants down and-
“that look.” rafe groans. “that fuck me look.”
“well i do want you to fuck me.” you smirk. “i always do.”
“shit.” rafe leans back in his chair, and your eyes naturally move down his defined body, his loose shirt falling into his muscles, his jeans already starting to tent at the crotch.
you move your chair even closer, pressing your lips against rafes jaw. “i want you.”
you place a hand on his thigh, leaving it still for mere seconds before moving up, rubbing over his hardness, feeling ever inch of his length as it grows.
you know he needs relief from pressing against the zipper, undoing the button and pushing the two sides of his jeans further open so you can reach in, gripping his cock over the fabric.
“you're so naughty.” rafe tsks.
“you're just too hot to resist.” you kiss rafes jaw again, knowing you can't be too obvious above the table, just in case.
your hand moves under the waistband of his boxers, feeling the warmth radiating from his body as your palm presses against his cock, watching with fascination as rafes eyes flutter closed.
“god you can't even go 24 hours without needing me.” rafe smirks, his voice dripping with cockiness.
truth is, it's been less than 12 hours since you spread your legs for rafe last night, moaning and holding back screams as he pumped into you in your shared dorm room, having paid off the university to get you on the married couples floor despite not having a ring on your finger.
you ignore the urge to pull rafes cock out and drop your mouth around him and slurp and suck for anyone to hear.
you stand up suddenly, making rafes body physically jerk as he loses the sensation of your touch.
you move around the table, humming softly to yourself as you make your way down the aisle directly in front of rafe, bending down, feigning looking for a book on the bottom shelf.
you know damn well your short skirt is putting your underwear on display for rafe as you grab a book with one hand while pulling your underwear down with the other, revealing your already wet pussy.
you let your panties fall to the ground as you stand up, book in hand. you snatch them off the ground and make your way back to rafe, whose mouth might as well be watering with the intense look of hunger and need on his face.
you drop the book onto the table, letting it clatter as you stuff your underwear into rafes jean pocket.
“cock out.” you hum.
rafe listens quickly, not usually one to follow yours or anyone else's orders, but he certainly won't push back against this one as he shoves his underwear down to underneath his balls, his cock standing at attention and ready for you.
you step between him and the table, rafes hands coming to grab your hips and stop you from sitting down too quickly. he leans forward and sinks his teeth into your cheeks over your skirt, hard enough to leave a bite mark and have you swallowing a moan.
rafe tugs you down, retaking control of the situation as he pushes you onto his cock in one smooth motion, and this time you can't help the sound that escapes your mouth, a whine of pleasure and pain as your walls are instantly stretched.
“you think you'd be used to me by now.” rafe chuckles in your ear, pushing you forward to rest your elbows against the table.
to anyone walking by, it would look like you were studying while sat on your boyfriends lap, and with your boyfriend being rafe, most people would scurry quickly away, not paying enough attention to realize your hips are moving up and down and rafe is gripping one of your thighs tightly while his other arm is wrapped around your waist.
“shit.” rafe moans quietly. “you're so warm.”
the air whooshing over your behind every time your skirt flounces as you move up and down adds to the shiver that runs down your spine.
“this is why-” you gasp as you sit up a little straighter to make it easier to bounce on his cock, feeling your pussy swallow him in with every movement inwards before gripping like your body doesn't want to be apart when you try to move. “this is why we never get any studying done.”
“because you're a whore for my cock?” rafe chuckles, his voice quiet as footsteps are heard, but they continue up the stairs to a different floor.
“because you always look too fucking good to not let you fuck me.”
rafes hips begin to snap upwards with the compliment. he's never had a problem getting girls, and experimented with other women during your breaks, but nobody moves him the way you do, you're the only one he can stand being with for any time longer than a night, the only one whose opinion he really cares about.
you're no longer being so subtle as your fingers dig into the wood grain of the table as rafes hands grip your hips, helping you move up and down in time to his hips raising up off the chair.
“you're gonna walk out of here filled with my cum.” rafe says, and you can practically hear the smirk on his face, knowing how much he loves marking his territory and leaving his claim on you.
“and you're gonna walk out of here with my wetness covering your cock.” you also smile, just as territorial as rafe is. you knew he was the one for you when no other cock could satisfy you, always wishing it was rafe until you got back together, your very last time apart.
“damn right.” rafe hums, hands fisting and gathering bunches of your skirt up so he can watch your ass as it moves, jiggling every time you sit fully down on his length.
“fuck.” you groan, body drooping forward as the elevator dings. you can hear the doors open as someone gets off on your floor.
you sit up straighter as rafe leans in, letting your skirt fall back around you, hiding the fact that he's inside of you at this very moment.
you listen closely as whoever it is walks down an aisle before getting a book off the shelf. you hope they'll walk away, but instead they continue towards your table until you see a college kid with headphones on you've never seen before.
you hope he'll see the two of you and flee, but he doesn't seem to notice as he sets his bag down on a chair before pulling out the one next to it.
“rafe…” you whisper as you feel his hips start to rock back and forth. “ssss… stop.”
you're not really concerned about a student seeing you, but you really don't want anyone to report you to the library.
“hey, kid.” rafe calls out, making the student jolt in surprise and look up, eyes widening as he realizes who he's looking at, but hopefully not what.
“fuck out of here.” rafe says, and the kid runs away and down the stairs faster than you thought possible.
“such a dick.” you chuckle, immediately beginning to move.
“says the one bouncing on my dick right now.” rafe chuckles. “you wanted him gone too.”
you place your hands on the table, ignoring rafes teasing as he starts to push up into you, putting all the strength you have left in your tired legs into your movements.
rafe reaches around your front and presses two fingertips against your clit, rubbing harshly knowing he can't last much longer and needs to get you there too, wanting to cum together.
“f-fuck.” you whine out, voice turning high pitched. “please. close.” you manage to say.
rafes cock swells inside of you and you can tell that he's not far either as he delivers a few finishing thrusts into your wet pussy before he bursts with a moan of your name, cum pumping into you as his fingers continue at the same pace.
you smack your ass down against his lap as you cum, his cock pushing so far inside of you that you swear he's in your womb.
his fingers play with your pulsing clit as you ride out your highs together until you suddenly become sensitive, having to shove his hand away to keep from crying out.
you are both breathing heavily, you slumped forward against the tabletop while rafe is slack against the back of the chair.
“shit.” rafe chuckles. “i completely forgot everything we just studied.”
you clench your pussy to keep from leaking as you pull off his cock, moving quickly to the seat next to you as your thighs almost immediately give out.
“well.” you lean back, both looking exhausted. “i'm gonna need a while before i can walk, so get back to it.”
rafe redoes his pants and leans forward to look back at the study guide, resigning to his fate as your eyes droop closed.

Father!Quinn x Son & Wife!Reader. Word Count: 1,1k Authorial Note: My next voted WIP! I hope you enjoy this fic as much as I did while writing it! Don’t know if it’s my best piece then. Warnings: Swearing, mentions of birth.
Tumblr media
Elliot Samuel Hughes came screaming into the world at 4:12 p.m., Quinn only knew his son for a matter of awed, breathless moments before the world sharpened—and chaos erupted.
Nurses swarmed you, dabbing and cleaning with sodden warm towels. A warm, slimy bundle of swaddle-blanket and baby reached your chest as the obstetrician stepped back from your glistening body. Quinn's reddened hand slipped from your grip, instinctively cradling the baby to your chest. His other hand, shaking slightly, gripped the bed's plastic rail. Leaning forward, he rested his right arm limply across your shoulder, his forehead gently touching yours as the two of you gazed down at your son.
"How’re you doing, Dad?" the obstetrician asked from the sink as he scrubbed his hands clean.
Quinn blinked, a goofy grin spreading across his face. "I feel sick... but in a good way." He laughed softly, joy plastered permanently on his face. "We created a human... that's fucking scary but awesome at the same time."
Even in your post-birth haze, a smile graced your lips. It was an awesome thing indeed. This was your person now, a culmination of Quinn and your love. Despite this baby being considered a gift, he clearly was sent to test you and Quinn’s love for each other. No parenting class could have prepared you for the unfolding chaos that was leaving the hospital and heading home. The first day at the hospital was incredible, the nurses gently guided you and Quinn in the ways of parenting. But once you left and arrived home, the learning curve turned into an aggressive crash course.
Emotions ran high for every family member. Every nap missed, messy feed, spit-up, or nappy mess that needed cleaning up frayed the string further. Quinn and you had been remarkably naïve to think that this journey would be easy, even though you’d been dreaming collectively of this moment for years.
Quinn, along with self-proclaimed uncles Elias, Brock, and JT, spent hours working on the perfect nursery for baby boy Hughes. From wall decorations to the crib and changing table—which you insisted had to be powder blue with clouds and a grassy field with cows in it—the boys poured their hearts into it. Once they had finished assembling the room and you'd let it air out due to your hatred of the smell of fresh paint, you added the final details: books, blankets, nappies, and wipes, along with baby clothes hanging neatly on tiny coat hangers.
The first night home from the hospital was powered purely by adrenaline. You and Quinn took shifts with baby boy—changing, feeding, and sometimes just comforting him to sleep. By the second and third nights, the exhaustion set in. Leaving the warmth of the bed became a Herculean effort, especially for you. The physical toll of birth weighed heavily on your body, and sustaining new life felt overwhelming.
Quinn tried his hardest to take the load off, seeing how hard you were working to make the transition smooth, though it felt futile. His patience held up remarkably well for the first four days, but by the fourth night, tension crept in. Snappish words replaced your usual playful banter, and the distance between you felt like a growing chasm. Quinn’s touch, once so comforting, now felt foreign. Exhaustion tangled both your nerves, and intimacy between the two of you became a distant memory.
That night, an abrupt “goodnight” was shared, accompanied by a peck on the cheek. You both lay there in the dark, separated by a wall of fatigue, each praying for sleep that never came, as baby boy woke again at distasteful hours of the night.
Night five was the killer. Some ungodly hour like 1:03 a.m. glared back at you from the microwave as you ambled around the kitchen for the second time that night. You’d fed him twice now, but much of the milk had come back up in spit-up. Quinn had changed baby once and had checked on him again 45 minutes earlier.
There was one distinct problem: the baby only slept when he was held. You could do as many laps around the kitchen as you wanted, Quinn could rock him for hours, but as soon as baby landed on the bassinet’s mattress, it was like laying him on lava.
"Still no luck, darlin’?" Quinn’s voice came quietly from the doorway, his tired form silhouetted by the dim light of the stairs. He met you halfway, his brow furrowed with concern.
You let out a soft, frustrated sigh. "Every time I put him down, he cries," you whispered, blinking back tears. "I’m so tired, Quinn."
He stepped closer, reaching for your hand and pressing a kiss to your knuckles. "C’mon, let’s go back to bed," he murmured, leading you gently up the stairs. Exhaustion had blurred the edges of your world, and you forced a tired smile as he kissed your hand again.
"He’s just going to cry when I put him down, Quinn," you stated tiredly as he threw back the covers for you. The softness of the bed felt like heaven against your aching body, and you settled in without a second thought.
Quinn, now shirtless, pulled baby from your arms and nestled him gently on his chest, holding him snugly as he propped himself up with pillows. He tucked you in under his arm, pulling the blankets over both of you.
"Sleep now, darlin’," he whispered, kissing the top of your head. Baby wriggled slightly in his swaddle but quickly relaxed against Quinn's warmth. "If this is how we have to do it from now on, fine."
Quinn sighed, his grip tightening around both of you. "At least we have good chiros at the rink."

25 Essential Principles for Black Conduct and Empowerment: A Garveyite Perspective
From a Garveyite perspective, Black people must uphold a code of conduct rooted in self-determination, unity, discipline, and economic independence to reclaim sovereignty and build a powerful Black world. Marcus Garvey emphasized that the liberation of Black people requires not just awareness but action, structure, and collective responsibility. Without a solid foundation of principles to guide conduct, Black people remain vulnerable to external control, disunity, and stagnation.
This analysis outlines 25 essential principles that Black people must adhere to for collective empowerment, ensuring that every aspect of life—from personal discipline to political strategy—aligns with Black self-reliance and Pan-African unity.
1. Prioritize Black Unity Over Petty Divisions
Black people must reject tribalism, nationality-based elitism, and class divisions that prevent global solidarity. Whether African, African American, Caribbean, or Afro-Latino, all Black people share a common struggle and destiny.
2. Be Loyal to Black Institutions, Not External Systems
Economic, educational, and political systems designed by non-Black entities often do not serve Black interests. Black people must build, support, and defend their own institutions to ensure self-governance.
3. Maintain Economic Discipline and Group Economics
Black people must spend, circulate, and invest money within their own communities rather than enriching non-Black businesses that do not support Black liberation. Wealth must serve the collective, not just the individual.
4. Reject Begging and Dependency
Garveyism teaches that self-reliance is the key to sovereignty. Seeking validation, reparations without self-building, or constant dependency on non-Black systems keeps Black people weak. We must create solutions, not wait for handouts.
5. Strengthen the Black Family Unit
A strong Black nation starts with strong families. Fatherhood, motherhood, and communal responsibility must be honoured. The intentional breakdown of the Black family is a tool of oppression, and reversing it is a revolutionary act.
6. Guard Black Cultural Identity Fiercely
Black culture must be protected from dilution, appropriation, and distortion. The global media industry manipulates Black culture for profit while degrading its revolutionary potential. Black people must reclaim their spiritual, artistic, and historical identities.
7. Reject Hyper-Consumerism and Materialism
Black empowerment is not measured by luxury brands, flashy lifestyles, or European standards of success. True power comes from ownership, land, and industry—not consumer status.
8. Develop Financial Literacy and Generational Wealth
Black people must prioritize financial education, investments, land ownership, and cooperative economics over short-term spending habits. Financial discipline determines power.
9. Master Self-Defense and Security
Black communities must be physically and strategically protected. Knowledge of self-defense, martial arts, and security strategies is essential to prevent exploitation, gentrification, and violence against Black people.
10. Respect and Elevate Black Women
Black women have always been at the forefront of liberation struggles. They must be honoured, protected, and empowered, while rejecting both misogyny and feminism that devalues traditional African family structures.
11. Reject White Validation and Seek Black Excellence
Seeking approval from white institutions, corporations, or governments weakens self-worth. Excellence must be defined on Black terms, not Western standards.
12. Eliminate Self-Hatred and Colourism
Black people must dismantle anti-Black programming, including colourism, texturism, and Eurocentric beauty standards. Loving Blackness is a revolutionary act.
13. Be Politically Aware but Not Emotionally Manipulated
Black people must engage in politics with strategic awareness, rather than blind emotional allegiance to parties that do not serve Black interests. Power is taken, not asked for.
14. Prioritize African Spirituality and Indigenous Practices
African spiritual systems have been demonized and replaced with religious systems that pacify Black resistance. Black people must reclaim ancestral knowledge and reject systems that promote blind obedience over empowerment.
15. Train Black Youth for Leadership and Legacy
Black children must be educated in liberation philosophy, economic empowerment, and self-discipline from an early age. The next generation must be trained, not just inspired.
16. Reject Degenerative Media and Narratives
Music, television, and films that promote self-destruction, hypersexuality, and violence against Black people must be rejected. Media that elevates, educates, and empowers Black minds must be supported.
17. Demand Accountability from Leaders
Black leaders—whether political, religious, or social—must be held to strict ethical and strategic standards. Personality cults and blind allegiance lead to betrayal and stagnation.
18. Build Pan-African Alliances Instead of Isolating Movements
No single Black community or nation can thrive alone. Black people worldwide must work together to secure land, resources, and industries.
19. Promote Self-Discipline and Mental Strength
A weak and undisciplined mind is easily controlled. Black people must master self-discipline in thought, habits, and actions to create a powerful global presence.
20. Reclaim the Warrior Spirit of Our Ancestors
African history is filled with warriors, revolutionaries, and empires that resisted colonization and slavery. Black people must embrace the warrior spirit rather than glorifying passivity.
21. Master Technology and Control the Digital Space
The future is digital, and Black people must own, develop, and master technology rather than being just consumers. Controlling media, cybersecurity, and AI is critical for sovereignty.
22. Protect and Defend Black Land and Resources
Black communities and nations must protect their land, agriculture, water sources, and raw materials from foreign control. Land ownership equals power.
23. Reject Integration as the Ultimate Goal
Integration into white society is not liberation. The goal must be nation-building, sovereignty, and Black self-governance, not assimilation.
24. Reject Criminality and Sabotage from Within
Internal destruction—whether through gang violence, betrayal, or corruption—keeps Black people weak. Code of conduct, integrity, and accountability must be upheld.
25. Make Black Consciousness and Excellence the New Standard
Mediocrity, victimhood, and aimless entertainment must be replaced with a culture of Black excellence, Pan-Africanism, and mastery of knowledge and power.
Conclusion: The Path to Black Sovereignty Is Discipline, Strategy, and Unity
From a Garveyite perspective, the liberation of Black people is not a dream but a responsibility. Without a strict code of conduct, discipline, and self-determination, Black people will remain vulnerable to exploitation, division, and external control.
Marcus Garvey built the largest Black organization in history because he understood that power comes from order, strategy, and a clear set of guiding principles. These 25 rules serve as a modern framework for achieving Black sovereignty, economic independence, and Pan-African unity.
The question is: Will we have the discipline to follow them?

If you want me to tag you please tell me.
English is not my first language.
You found him alone and quiet, his small figure curled up in the corner of the room. He didn’t cry or make a sound, but his dark, piercing eyes followed you every move.
“ You can’t stay nameless forever. ” you said softly, crouching down in front of him.
He tilted his head, watching you curiously.
“ How about…Jamil? ”
For a moment, he didn’t react. Then, his lips curled into a faint smile, and he nodded slowly. you felt you heart swell with warmth.
“ Jamil it is, then. ”
At first, he didn’t speak. He communicated with gestures and expressions, his silence both mysterious and endearing. But as days turned into weeks, he began to open up. His first words came unexpectedly one morning as he handed you a cup of tea he had made himself.
“ y/n ” he said softly, his voice smooth and quiet.
Tears pricked your eyes as you accepted the tea. “ You’re such a clever boy, Jamil. ”
Jamil grew into an incredibly capable child. By the time he was seven, he could cook meals better than you and keep the house spotless. His attention to detail was meticulous, and he took pride in taking care of you.
“ y/n ” he said one evening as they sat down for dinner. “ I noticed you’ve been forgetting to eat lunch at work, so I packed you something for tomorrow. ”
You blinked in surprise, looking at the neatly packed lunchbox he handed you. “ Jamil, you didn’t have to do this. ”
“ I wanted to. ” he replied simply, his dark eyes unwavering. “ You take care of me, so I’ll take care of you. ”
You smiled, you chest tightening with emotion. “ Thank you, Jamil. You’re the best. ”
He was the perfect child—obedient , thoughtful , and always one step ahead. But there was something unsettling about the way he watched you sometimes, his gaze intense and calculating.
It started innocently enough. you had been feeling stressed, and Jamil offered to help you relax.
“ Look at my eyes. ” he said one evening as you sat on the couch, massaging you temples. “ I’ll make you feel better. ”
You hesitated but trusted him. “ Alright... ”
Jamil voice became soft and hypnotic as he spoke, guiding you into a state of calm. “ You’re safe. You’re loved. You don’t need to worry about anything. ”
When you woke up, you felt refreshed, the tension in your body gone. “ Thank you, Jamil. ” you said, ruffling his hair.
But it didn’t stop there. Jamil began using his hypnotic abilities on your more frequently, often without you knowledge. At first, it was harmless—helping you sleep, easing you headaches. But soon, he started to push further, planting suggestions and altering your memories.
“ Don’t you remember, y/n? You promised we’d stay home today. ” he say with a smile, even though you was certain you had made plans to go out.
Confused, you nod, unsure of your own recollections. “ Yeah…maybe I must’ve forgotten. ”
Over time, you began to notice strange symptoms. you would wake up with splitting headaches and occasional nosebleeds. You memory became unreliable, and you often felt disoriented.
“ Jamil, have you noticed anything strange about me lately? ” you asked one evening, rubbing your temples as another headache throbbed behind your eyes.
He looked at you with feigned concern. “ You’ve been overworking yourself, y/n. You need to rest more. ”
You nodded, trusting his judgment. But the symptoms only worsened. you find yourself forgetting simple things—where you put your keys, what day it was, even conversations you had with Jamil.
One day, you woke up in a daze, unable to remember the events of the previous night. “ Jamil, did we do anything yesterday? ”
He smiled gently. “ You were tired, so I helped you relax. You don’t need to worry about anything. ”
You condition deteriorated rapidly. You began experiencing blackouts, losing hours at a time. You headaches became unbearable, and you once sharp mind felt foggy and dull.
One evening, as you sat on the couch, clutching you head, you turned to Jamil with desperation in your eyes. “ Something’s wrong with me, Jamil. I need to see a doctor. ”
He froze, his calm demeanor faltering for a moment. “ You don’t need a doctor, y/n. I’ll take care of you. ”
“ No, Jamil. ” you said firmly, your voice trembling. “ This is serious. I can’t keep living like this. ”
His expression darkened, and for the first time, you saw something cold and unyielding in his eyes. “ You don’t trust me? ”
“ Of course I do. ” you said softly. “ But I need help— ”
“ You don’t need anyone but me. ” he interrupted, his voice low and dangerous.
You heart raced as you realized the depth of his control over your. “ Jamil… what have you done to me? ”
The next morning, you woke up feeling weaker than ever. You vision blurred, and you limbs felt heavy. You stumbled into the kitchen, where Jamil was waiting with a cup of tea.
“ Drink this. ” he said, his voice soothing.
You took the cup with trembling hands, staring at him with tears in your eyes. “ Jamil… I’m scared. ”
“ You don’t need to be. ” he said softly, his gaze unwavering. “ I’ll take care of everything. ”
As you sipped the tea, you vision darkened, and you body grew numb. You collapsed onto the floor, you breathing shallow.
Jamil knelt beside you, his expression calm and composed. “ You’ll be at peace now, y/n. You’ll finally rest. ”
You last thought was of the boy you had named, the child you had loved so deeply have killed you.
Jamil sat in the empty house, the silence pressing down on him. He stared at the spot where you had taken you last breath, his mind racing with conflicting emotions.
He had done it to protect you, to keep you with him forever. But now, you was gone, and the emptiness you left behind was unbearable.
“ I’ll take care of everything. ” he whispered to the empty room, his voice hollow.
But no amount of cooking or cleaning could fill the void in his heart. He had taken everything from you, and in doing so, had destroyed the one person who made his world whole.

okay, yes, snape suffered a lot but he also made his students suffer a lot. do you know what it must have been like for all those kids to be constantly humiliated??? if you like comparing with real life so much, what would you think of a real adult who abuses their power to feel better at the expense of children??? snape fans always come up with all kinds of excuses, but when it comes to the topic of his abuse towards his students, you always stay silent, and that's because it has no forgiveness.
Severus’s role as a dysfunctional adult is honestly pretty amusing to me, especially because while I never experienced bullying from peers or equals, I grew up in an environment full of wildly dysfunctional adults. On top of that, I now work on legal cases involving even more dysfunctional adults. And, to make it even better, while my classmates never gave me grief, attending a private Catholic school in the 2000s meant teacher-on-student violence was pretty much a daily occurrence. Not just at school—I've also had some truly awful professors at university. So, I get firsthand what it’s like to have authority figures who are supposed to guide and protect you but act like an absolute pack of jerks.
Here’s an unpopular opinion: if I compare my personal experiences with dysfunctional adults and terrible teachers, Severus is practically a lamb. I’ve witnessed some insane things. There was a case at my school where a teacher bullied three siblings (in different grades) so badly that their dad came to the school and physically beat the teacher up. And honestly? The guy deserved it. I’ve seen old-school priests handing out slaps. I’ve had a teacher in his late 30s openly flirting with 17-year-old students. I’ve had teachers who didn’t just throw out a sarcastic remark—they flat-out called us “idiots,” “morons,” "dickheads", "assholes", “worthless,” or said things like, “You’re all going to end up mopping floors because you’re useless pieces of crap.” Fun times with Mr. Antonio.
There was one teacher who made students stand up one by one so he could critique their outfits in front of the entire class, piece by piece, like he thought he was Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada. Another handed out nicknames that were humiliating and outright cruel. Or that elementary teacher who also taught catechism and would call up children who were not going to take their First Communion (this happens at 8 or 9 years old) to the front of the class and publicly ask them why they didn’t want to embrace Jesus Christ. She would even ask if they thought their parents didn’t love them because they weren’t letting them do the same as their friends. Or the second-grade teacher who called a boy up to the board because he didn’t know a multiplication table very well and started singing a mocking song in Spanish that goes, “Fulanito tururú, que no sabe ni la u” (basically calling someone slow-witted).
Then there was the fourth-grade teacher (9-10yo) who had a particular grudge against one of my classmates and kept threatening to lock him in places or scaring him by saying he was going to throw him out the window. The English teacher, who, when we were 14 years old, locked us in a classroom, made us skip lunch, and kept us there without eating until 5 PM. The technology teacher, a 50-year-old man with a very hands-on approach towards the girls in first and second year of secondary school (12-13 yo). And I could go on and on.
So yeah, I’ve seen some wild stuff in classrooms, and trust me, you don’t need to explain the trauma bad teachers can cause—I’ve had my share of them. And none of it is going to make me like Severus any less. If anything, the stuff he does in the books feels like 1% of the madness I’ve seen play out in real life.

hi there, hope you're doing well! do you have any survival tips for freshmen starting their first semester at college? thanks!
Hello! Yes I do! Up until this Tuesday, all of my experience has been at a community college, but I have some universal advice!
Sage's supercool freshman survival guide:
You don't need expensive and a wide variety of school supplies. Here is a list of what you need:
A notebook for each class
A good pack of pens (i like gel pens)
A pack of pencils (+ sharpener) or mechanical pencils
Either colored pens, thin tip markers, or highlighters for notes
Ruler and calculator if you are taking math/science classes
A binder or folder for loose papers
GRAPH PAPER. Even just a pack of loose graph paper. It sucks when you need it and don't have it
2. it's better to take notes on paper vs on a computer unless you have some sort of reason (like dyslexia, visual impairment, or other physical disability etc) Taking paper notes forces your brain to pay attention better, and you can reference them easier than if you take them on a computer. (plus a lot of professors don't allow laptops in lectures unless you have an accommodation with the school)
3. GET A PLANNER! A PHYSICAL ONE!!!! Online calendars and planners are okay, but it is MUCH easier to forget assignments if they're out of sight. Get a paper planner, fill it out each week so you know what you're doing, and keep it opened on the current week somewhere you can see it. I personally like the planners intended for teachers because it divides the days up with individual subjects! This is the one I got for this school year
4. Get a giant ass water bottle. If you are going from class to class, you most likely won't have time to refill your water bottle. Get a huge one, fill it up at home or at your dorm or whatever, and carry it with you. I promise you it is worth adding an extra thing to carry (mine is a 1/2 gallon)
5. No one at college cares about stuff like in high school. No one cares what you're wearing or how you're doing your hair. In fact, individuality is ENCOURAGED. Wear bright colorful makeup or weird earrings. Do what makes you happy.
6. Pack yourself lunches and snacks that you can easily stuff in your face while walking to your next class. I'm a big fan of protein shakes and granola bars.
7. Ask questions! No one will think you're annoying for asking "too many" questions. It's better to over ask than under ask and not understand the topic. Chances are, at least one other person in the room has the same question as you.
8. Similar to number 7, most professors will gladly go back and explain a topic again or in a different way! Just politely and respectfully ask for them to briefly go over it again, or define a word you don't understand.
9. Unlike high school, most professors don't care, and will actually get annoyed if you interrupt their lesson to ask to go to the bathroom or take a phone call or even leave class early. Unless they explicitly say you can't leave (like during a test) you can just walk out, no questions asked.
10. Do every extra credit assignment you can. Even if you have a good grade in the class. You never know when you'll forget an assignment or lose points for something small. It's good to have backup.
11. Just like in a good relationship, communication with professors is everything.
12. Make connections with people in your classes. You don't have to be besties, but introduce yourself to a few people in class, make small talk, and get their phone numbers. That way you can discuss assignments or get notes if you miss a class.
13. DO NOT slack on first week assignments. Most professors WILL drop you if you A. Don't attend the first week of classes and/or B. Don't turn in the first few assignments.
14. Register for classes as soon as you possibly can. Like if your group is able to register at 9am, be in front of your computer with the registration site open at 8:55am, just to be ready.
15. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS CHECK RATEMYPROFESSOR BEFORE REGISTERING FOR CLASSES!!! NEVER IN YOUR LIFE REGISTER WITHOUT CHECKING. IF YOU ARE LATE TO REGISTER AND A GENERAL EDUCATION CLASS AT THE PERFECT TIME SLOT IS COMPLETLEY OPEN, IT IS FOR A FUCKING REASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rate my professor is really accurate because people are able to submit honest reviews anonymously after the class is over. If someone says the teacher is a hard ass who is flakey and assigns a lot of reading, BELIEVE IT. Ideally you want a professor that has above a 3.5/5 rating.
16. There is no shame in needing accommodations for a disability, and getting accommodations in college is a lot easier than in k-12 school. You just need to make a request and submit proof of disability, and you'll meet with someone to give you accommodations.
17. DO NOT buy textbooks until the first week of class is over. This is for 2 reasons. 1. you might need to drop the class and 2. most professors will just give you a link to the textbook for free or post individual chapters every week. There is no point in spending $200 for a textbook you might not even use.
18. I think at every college, you can drop a class with no consequences or anything on your record as long as you drop it within the first week or so (the exact time differs depending on the college, but it's always on their website)
19. Colleges very often have events with free food or free merch. Even if you have no interest in the event, a free hot dog is a free hot dog yk?
20. If you're a freshman, literally no one knows each other and everyone is worrying about making new friends. Literally everyone. Find someone who seems cool, compliment their outfit or say something about the class/the college, and boom. New friend.
21. If you have time, join a club! Colleges have clubs for EVERYTHING and it's an easy way to connect with people who have the same interests.
22. Before your first day of class, if you're neurotic like me, take time to think of a few things: 2 truths and a lie, 3 fun facts about yourself, your favorite __, etc. Just so you can be ready for icebreakers (I actually don't know if other people are as scared of first day icebreakers as me.... Every semester I prepare 2 truths and a lie and fun facts about me so I'm ready. Just in case. This just might be my specific flavor of autism though...)
23. Colleges are big, even community colleges. Make yourself a playlist and bring headphones for walking from class to class
24. Jumping off 23, when you're choosing your classes, pull up a map of your campus. Learn how long of a walk it is from building to building, so you can make sure you have enough time to walk to your next class. This goes double if you have a physical disability. I personally need some extra time so I can drink water and walk slowly.
25. Prioritize comfort over style. Most people by the third week will just be wearing tshirts/sweaters with jeans/sweatpants. There also usually isn't a super strict dress code at college. I had a girl in my astronomy class that exclusively wore bikini tops and booty shorts, and she never had any problems.
26. It's easy to tunnel vision and schedule your classes back to back, but try to give yourself at least one gap for lunch, to stretch, or to just hang out. I have 3 on campus classes this semester and my morning class ends at 11:45am and my second class doesn't start until 1:00pm. You're (most likely) an adult, close to an adult, or have adult responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is to take initiative to take care of yourself.
27. College professors, unless they're abnormally strict, literally don't care about anything, as long as your ass is in the chair and you're not being disruptive to others. Drinking water in class? Fine. Doodling on your notes? Fine. Doing homework for another class? Fine, as long as you look up like you're paying attention occasionally. I wrote amphibia fanfiction in my classes, and I had a girl in my public speaking class who literally brought yarn and a crochet hook and crocheted stuff in class.
28. OH that's another thing! Literally no one cares about your public speaking skills. In college, it is inevitable that you'll have to take one class with speeches. People aren't waiting for you to slip up to mock you. Most people are too focused on their own speeches. I took a public speaking class last year, and I genuinely could not tell you the topic of even ONE other student's speech. It is very likely that 90% of the people won't even be paying attention to your presentation because they're worrying about if they're next.
29. In group projects, be a bitch. I'm serious. DO NOT do all the work. If people in your group aren't moving, assign them their share of work. If they still don't participate, threaten to leave. If they still don't, ask the teacher to work alone. You NEED to stand up for yourself.
30. Most colleges have a lot of services for free (or included in tuition) you should use. The library is a great resource, I'm typing this on the laptop I rented for free from my school, and I believe my college has completely free STD checks and birth control options available through their health services.
31. Expand your horizons! In college, you get a LOT of options for electives and classes. Take the fun classes or a topic you've never heard of! I'm taking a philosophy of disability class this semester for my extra humanities credit.
32. Build a good relationship with your professors. It never hurts to go up to them before or after the first class and introduce yourself.
33. DO NOT leave things for the last minute. I like to write down all my assignments for the week in my planner, sorted by due date, color coded, and plan which assignments I'm going to do on what days.
34. Take advantage of professor's office hours, especially if it's a subject you're not strong in. Personally, I'm not the best at math, and the summer I took statistics for psych, I was at my professor's office hours every single Tuesday. Even if you think you understand the subject perfectly, you never know when you're making a mistake without realizing it. It can just be a less than 5 minute zoom visit of like "hey, this is my answer to question 5 and here's my work/process. Is this correct? Yes? Okay thanks see you in class"
35. Summer classes, especially in community colleges, are a great way to get extra credits and make it so you don't have such a heavy load during the regular school year. A lot of summer classes are online, so it's really easy to do at home. But.....
36. ...NEVER IN YOUR LIFE TAKE A SUBJECT YOU ARE NOT STRONG IN OR A SUBJECT WITH A LOT OF WORK IN A CONDENSED SUMMER CLASS. Summer classes are always more work per week because you have less time to go through the curriculum, so be sure it's a light class. I took my world religions class as an 8 week summer class and oh my god.... I am being 100% serious and not exaggerating when I say I had to read 500-750+ pages a week......... be careful
37. Make time for other things! Even if you're full time school and work, let yourself watch an episode of your favorite show after homework or during a break. Rest and recreation is important too.
38. Treat yourself! When I was a kid, my mom would let me and my brother pick out a little candy at the grocery store for a "friday treat" during the school year. I still do that. It can be as simple as buying a $2 chocolate bar or finally trying that bath bomb you got as a gift.
39. You are inevitably going to get a low grade on something. You're going to struggle with a subject or misunderstand an instruction. Not one single person has made it through all of college without getting anything less than a 100%. Ask for feedback from your professors. Don't beat yourself up.
40. You don't have to have a backpack. I use a green messenger bag with embroidered mushrooms on it :3
Hope this helps!

January 2025 Reading Wrap-Up
I read 12 books this (neverending) month and somehow not a single one of them was under a 7 out of 10. How the fuck did that happen? Anyway, this year, if a book is targeted at a non-Adult demographic, I'll be noting it in several parts.
1/10 - Why Did They Publish This?
None applicable.
2/10 - Trash
None applicable.
3/10 - Meh
None applicable.
4 to 6/10 - Mid-Tier
None applicable.
7 to 8/10 - Good With Caveats
Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class On The Art Of Organizing And Tidying Up | Marie Kondo
After reading Marie Kondo's "The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art Of Decluttering And Organizing", I compared it to this one as I went to see how it worked. While both are focused on decluttering (in a way that Marie Kondo now agrees is a bit much, according to the people I've talked to while reading this book), this one gets a lot further into the actionable steps instead of the theory, featuring step-by-step folding guides for all sorts of things.
Gwen & Art Are Not In Love | Lex Croucher [Young Adult]
This is a Young Adult historical romance. Despite the emphasis of Arthurian legend in the summary, it is not a retelling and does not have magical elements. At best, there are some folk magic bits that don't launch this into the fantasy category because they are all easy to write off (and are written off in the narrative itself). I enjoyed reading it, and it very much needed all 410 pages. My only complaint is that I really, really would have enjoyed seeing how exactly the problem at the ending was resolved, but I'm getting used to the fact that books from Book of the Month don't have a solid and actual ending. I still liked reading this, however.
Interesting Facts About Space | Emily Austin
This is the kind of book you read when you want to read about someone whose life is a much larger mess than yours is. Despite wrapping things up fairly neatly at the ending, one of the things brought up in the summary never gets explained or resolved in a way that just feels annoying. It feels like a badly-implemented cliffhanger for sequel bait, and I don't have the energy to dig up "actual ending" fanfics for every book I read. I did have to recategorize it in my spreadsheet because it's a lot less "romance" and a lot more "contemporary hot mess". The protagonist is a disaster lesbian, with heavy emphasis on the "disaster" part.
9/10 - Very Very Good
Brokeback Mountain | Annie Proulx
So uh. I found this one in a bunch of donated books from a library patron. So of course I grabbed it. I read it for the January meeting of my library's book club. There was a lot more being sad than I expected, considering how Brokeback Mountain was usually explained to me. I still had a good time reading it because sad gay cowboys are, in fact, one of my interests.
Skull Scrying: Animal Skulls In Divinatory Trance Work | Lupa Greenwolf
I got this book out of a big divination bundle from Lupa's store that included a tarot deck, a tarot deck guidebook, two minibooks, and a ready-to-go osteomancy set. I ended up reading this one first out of the bundle because I cohabitate with a whitetailed deer skull named Skull Friend, and the idea of scrying has always fascinated me even though I can't do it for shit. (What do you mean, "clear your mind"? I have intrusive thoughts and shit, it's physically impossible for me to do that.) This is a small book at only 32 pages, but it's incredibly information-stuffed. When I say a book could have been a blog post/zine, this is a good example. I did have a few bones to pick with it, but those aren't enough for me to bump it down to the Good With Caveats section.
Pocket Osteomancy: A Simple Bone Divination Set | Lupa Greenwolf
This is another, even smaller (24 pages) book and is clearly meant to be in the same category as tarot guidebooks, but since I have had 0 experience with osteomancy before, I figured I'd read through this whole thing. It was just as interesting as the skull scrying book and started me on the path of slowly re-exploring death magic and getting into proper nature and animal-related magic.
Werewolf Magick: Authentic Practical Lycanthropy | Denny Sargent
This book somehow wound up here despite several problems I had with it just because it was so damned useful. Review (or rather, bulletpoints) here.
A Witch's Ally: Building A Magical Relationship With Animal Familiars & Companions | Dodie Graham McKay
This is another book that somehow wound up here even though I felt the shoe drop a few times. Honestly this one is probably more useful than Werewolf Magick for the average mage. Review (or, again, bulletpoints) here.
My Roommate Is A Vampire | Jenna Levine
This is a romcom paranormal romance brought to us by the Reylos. And you know what? It was fucking hilarious. I had a great time reading it. I genuinely enjoyed it the most of the romance-related books I read this month. I did keep getting the gay couple (Scott and Sam) confused because both of the names started with S, but that's because I'm bad at keeping track of a book's side characters. Also, they very much have sex. Several times. I ended up skipping those parts, but they get raunchy once they finally get together.
10/10 - Unironically Recommend To Everyone
Doctor Esperanto And The Language Of Hope | Mara Rockliff, Zosia Dzierzawska [Juvenile]
This 40 page biography is technically classified as a Juvenile biography in Missouri Evergreen, but I'd argue that this is such a low reading level that it would fall in the Easy category if Missouri wasn't so terrified by the thought of a biography about a Jewish man. Regardless, I enjoyed reading it as the introduction into my poking of Esperanto. I'm not surprised that it smoothed over the more uneasy parts of Dr. Esperanto's life (like the Zionism and the Hillelism), but it was a good introduction leading to...
Bridge Of Words: Esperanto And The Dream Of A Universal Language | Esther Schor
Part biography of the Esperanto language (particularly the life of its creator) and part biography of the author (a Jewish woman) interacting with various parts of the Esperanto community, I found this to be a fantastic and far more thorough book for the subject overall. I was glad I read this after the other biography.
Destroy All Humans. They Can’t Be Regenerated, volume 2 | Katsura Ise, Takuma Yokata
Yes, yes, this is volume two of the MTG manga that's being reprinted. And I fucking adore it. I love seeing an overconfident male protagonist get his ass beat. Also one of the characters reads as hella genderqueer but that's probably because both of the other characters are reading them in opposite gender directions. I'm enjoying this series, even the young romance that's cropping up between the male and female protagonists.

Fraymotif Introductory Megapost
Wow, cool, an intro post.
This is a Homestuck blog, with a lot of spoilers. A LOT.
This is your warning.
So what’s this all about?
Fraymotifs are powerful battle techniques used by Sburb's Heroes. They are basically super god-like combo attacks between multiple Heroes of differing aspects. In canon, they are shown to be 2 to 3 player combos, but it is theorized that they can include up to 12 players.
Interactions between Classpects
The way I look at Fraymotifs is as a synergy between synergies. A Hero’s Class is how they interact with their own Aspect, while a Fraymotif is how two or more Heroes interact with each other’s Classpects (Jade, a Witch of Space, changing the space in which Dave’s, a Knight of Time, protection through time is used into a single concentrated bubble; slowing time within a bubble around Bec Noir via Adagio Redshift).
My Goal with this very ambitious blog
There are 144 unique Mythological Roles (Classpects) within Sburb, and a Fraymotif involves 2+ of them. Let’s do the math for a second. The equation to figure out the number of combinations there are between r elements of a set of n items, ignoring differing permutations, is: C(n,r)=n!/(r!(n−r)!). So, 144 choose 2 comes out to be 10,296. That's actually 10 thousand different Fraymotifs for just combos of two Heroes. It shoots up to 400k+ once you include combinations of 3. There’s probably a lot less when you disclude combos between Heroes of the same Aspect, but its still an astronomical number. On top of that, there are at LEAST 36 single-Aspect Fraymotifs, meant to be used by a single Hero, and I do not wish to cover those, simply as a personal preference for what I find interesting. Sorry, I’ve got enough on my plate with the 10k+ I already intend to do, and those are at least wacky goofy combos.
I wish to at least cover what I think ALL 2-Player Fraymotifs there can be, in this blog. That is over ten thousand, so I will be covering many at a time within a post. There also may be more than one possible Fraymotif per Aspect-Combo, but for the sake of brevity (the irony is not lost on me) I will limit it such that each Pair of Classpects only get 1 Fraymotif assigned to them. That narrows it down to a measly 9504, and I do not feel sorry for making each of them special.
I don’t know if I will have the brainpower to cover 3+ Player Fraymotifs as thoroughly, so I will only cover them upon request! So please ask if you really wish for my take! I will be glad to nerd out some more. Hell, you can ask pretty much anything you want about my efforts, that's what the askbox is for (^-^)b
The Fraymotif design process
Next I look at how the abilities of the Heroes interact with each other, obviously. A Witch of Space localizes the time powers of a Knight of Time, and constructively interferes with the powers’ purpose of protecting, keeping the Target trapped in a bubble separated from the outside world (Adagio Redshift). A Seer of Mind may use the Knight of Time’s protection as a guide to see through the various alternate outcomes to find a version of events where things went a little better, and the Knight would then lock-on to that timeline to bring their partner to refuge, perhaps re-doing a section they struggled on before (Assylum Dal Segno). It is mostly a case-by-case basis, but a HUGE part of Fraymotifs are the Motifs themselves, that is to say, a theme or recurring element. The motive behind a power or ability. A Knight of Time would have access to Time shenanigans (That’s the theme of their powers), but the leading motive behind them will be for Protection, even though they are a solid combatant by themselves.
This will develop the longer I run this blog, but as it stands now, I start by analyzing the Classpects of each Hero involved and take note of their abilities in their own right. Witch of Space naturally has control over the properties of physical Space so their abilities could localize and/or expand the area of effect of other physical powers, stuff like that. Of course, this requires a comprehensive understanding of Classpecting first. Classpecting as a magic system is defined in-world by flawed/biased narrators, so most of it is left up to interpretation. As a Mage of Heart myself, I am very Classpecting-pilled, and I feel as though I grasp the concept very naturally. For areas in which my understanding is a bit thin, I do like to reference Ouroborista’s take on the system, and I am especially fond of the Class symmetry proposed therein, albeit a bit contested throughout the community. But hey, most of it is up to interpretation anyway, so if you disagree, please let me know in the asks, I would love to hear your opinions! Classpecting is all symbology lol.
Edit: the class symmetries I use have changed since starting this project, I will cover this in THE SHIFT.
Edit: I forgot to mention that while non-godtiers are able to use Fraymotifs (See: Dave and Terezi with Assylum Dal Segno in [S] Collide), I will be designing these under the assumption that all participants are godtier. Some Fraymotifs will be simple, despite everyone's access to their full godtier kit, but seriously there's 9.5k of them they can't all be perfect.
There are obviously a few Fraymotifs that are defined in canon. But I mean. Come on. Canon is a tangible thing that can be messed with in Homestuck, and mess with it I shall. There are 11 2-Player Fraymotifs that we see in HS, and when you treat June and Rose’s and Dave and Terezi’s duplicates as a single Fraymotif each (as I will because they are consistent in how they utilize the abilities despite a different graphic (well, except for Rose and Roxy but that’s a whole different beast I will address in the next section)), that lowers it down to 7-technically-8 Fraymotifs that have been shown, and only 4 of those are named. I will try to keep-in-line with the Fraymotifs we actually do see, and interpret them in a way that matches the tone with the rest of the ones I design, because its 7-technically-8 out of 9.5 thousand, and I don’t see you out here doing this.
Following that is the fun part -- the name. Fraymotifs are music-themed, and thus have music-themed name schemes. Ivories in the Fire (Heir of Breath + Knight of Time), Mixolydian Maelstrom (Heir of Breath + Seer of Light), Fantasia's Inhale (Heir of Breath + Witch of Space), and Adagio Redshift (Witch of Space + Knight of Time), to name a few (that’s actually all of the named ones in-world). So keeping with that theme, I will come up with equally badass and/or ethereal names for the other 9.5k. Such as: Assylum Dal Segno (Knight of Time + Seer of Mind), Sostenuto Spotlight (Knight of Light + Mage of Heart), Flash Sforzando (Page of Light + Mage of Heart), etc.
Preemptively addressing my personal biases
Hussie outright stated that before the events of [S] Collide, Fraymotifs were a piece of throwaway worldbuilding, and are referenced as a hard magic system, despite the fact that it is anything but. This frustrates me to my core, like, fricking, for example: Both of June and Rose’s Fraymotifs shown in [S] Collide can be interpreted as the aforementioned Mixolydian Maelstrom, which is just varying forms of attacking with wind and lasers. And Dave and Terezi’s (Assylum Dal Segno) can both be interpreted as allowing a Target refuge in another, better timeline, because they both either bring Dirk back or send themselves to another timeline and both are actually part of the same series of events. So that’s all fine. But. The Lalondes. Rose and Roxy have two separate Fraymotifs together, one where Roxy does a Voidey thing and removes the nonexistence of a bunch of perfectly generic objects in a laser-cube made by Rose, and another where they just do a bunch of Aspect-related attacks.
In fact, a lot of Rose’s powers seem to just be “lighty magic attack:” when that is far from her role as a Seer, and goes against that whole “leading motive” theme I brought up earlier. It seems that she was just around to do laser stuff. Which is cool! In a fast-paced epic fight sequence! I liked it! But I want to get a bit more creative with these, moving past the “they hit them a lot with their Aspect” for those Classpects where they can do so much more than that. I said that canon was something to be messed with, and I’m going to tweak things as I see necessary because there are 7-technically-8 that are shown out of the 9.5 thousand I’m going to do so who cares.
Another thing I want to bring up goes more into the Classpecting side of Fraymotif design. In the 12 Aspects, they are aligned along the Time-Space axis, but something that I rarely see focused on is the Breath-Blood axis. Time and Space rule the physical world, but Breath and Blood rule the nonphysical world in a way I find really cool and interesting. I see Breath and Blood operating not only under their commonly understood Freedom/Bonds mechanics, but also messing around with causality. I think that Blood is very fate/destiny-coded and that Breath is very unrestricted from such matters. Karkat and Kankri both had a personal arc based around the fate/destiny of their people, and feeling responsible for it when all that got messed up, while Tavros and Rufioh both had a personal arc about becoming detached from who they were “supposed to be”, June especially becoming fully detached from deterministic causality with her retcon powers being able to mess with past events without dooming the timeline (and her being removed from who she was due to that broblorone making her transfem). You may be thinking “Oh, but Doom is for outcomes and fate” but really only with destruction and bad endings. Hope and Rage deal with positive/negative emotion but Heart does ALL emotion indiscriminately. When chopping up the whole universe into just 12 pieces (13 if you count Piss. (I do not count Piss.)), there’s going to be some overlap on account of there being more than 12 Things in the universe. Them’s the breaks.
Last thing here is the names. A lot of people, and I mean a LOT of people, look at Hero-specific names as being taken from a pool of words that have to deal with their Aspect. Like, a lot of people will interpret the name Ivories in the Fire (Heir of Breath + Knight of Time) as having the components "Ivories" + "in the Fire", where "Ivories" is a "Breathy word" and "in the Fire" is a "Timey word" and will just toss them around until there are like 50 "X in the Fire" Fraymotifs. I'm not a huge fan of that. Another way this is seen is in Land names, where people will read "Land of Maps and Treasure" and will automatically throw in "Maps" into a big grab-bag of Light words and "Treasure" into a separate bag of Thief words, as if this was a cheap flash name generator instead of a deeply specific thematic choice. Perhaps I'm being melodramatic (very real chance there), but I think that each name should be about what the Fraymotif does more than what it's made of. "Redshift" isnt specifically a Space word or a Time word, it's a phenomenon that is deeply tied to both Space and Time, and Adagio is a reference to the time-slowing effect of the Fraymotif. Obviously, with 9.5 thousand to come up with, there will be a lot of names that are similar, but they'll be on a case-by-case basis.
How in the world will I go about posting all of this?
There’s over ten thousand of these damn things, so I will come up with a whole bunch in one go, and make that one post, tagged appropriately ofc. These posts will be queued, so there will be at most 1 per day, and any asks will be answered as soon as I get them, skipping the queue (unless your request is in the queue, then you gotta wait :p).
Alright, thanks for reading, again please ask anything in the askbox, and I hope you enjoy my handiwork B)
There will be many Fraymotifs per post on some posts, like 15+ 12 max, so there will be at least 1.7-ish 2 years before this blog is full-up on Fraymotifs. Wack.
Edit: fixed the stats
THE SHIFT
When I started this project, I used Ouroborista's class symmetries to do my classpect analysis [Witch/Sylph, Knight/Maid, Page/Heir, Mage/Seer, Thief/Rogue, Prince/Bard]. However, even though Homestuck^2: Beyond Canon is dubiously canon at best, there have been some reveals as to truly canon details such as the Page's verbiage "one who fights to preserve" that do impact the symmetries I use. Fraymotifs posted before THE SHIFT follow the old pairings, while the new ones use [Witch/Heir, Knight/Page, Sylph/Maid, Mage/Seer, Thief/Rogue, Prince/Bard]. I also will have updated the old ones under the #THE SHIFT tag.
Edit: added THE SHIFT section

This is what I use chatgpt for... when I struggle with scheduling and feel like coming up with an ideal adult routine for things I would do if I didn't have to work for money. It's not a fine-tuned system, but it's fun to dream sometimes...
Monday – Friday Structure: Each day will have 4-5 core "classes" with different focuses to keep things fresh.
8:00 AM – Care of Magical Beasts (Pet Care & Morning Rituals) Start your day with your pets, giving them love, food, and attention. Pair this with a cozy morning ritual—tea, tarot, journaling, or setting intentions.
9:00 AM – Physical Education (Muscle Mommy Training / Movement) Whether it's your barre workouts, a Cyberpunk-style street cred challenge, or just getting stronger, this is your time for fitness!
10:30 AM – Home Ec. (Self-Sufficiency & Home Skills) Rotate between cleaning, cooking, budgeting, or DIY projects to build self-reliance.
12:00 PM – Lunch & Wind-Down Enjoy lunch and relax with a fun podcast, YouTube video, or a book.
1:00 PM – For Fun Learning (History, Science, or Social Studies from Coursera) Take an online course, read about interesting topics, or watch a documentary.
2:30 PM – Writing & Creative Exploration Work on your fanfics, novels, or anything that sparks storytelling inspiration.
4:00 PM – Art Class (Illustration & Design Time) Dive into kawaii drawings or cross-stitch projects.
5:30 PM – Witchcraft Spiritual Class (Meditation & Magic) Wind down with a meditation, a spell, or a nature walk with magical intent.
Evening: Flexible Free Time Whether it's gaming, a hobby, a social event, or something relaxing, the night is yours!
Variation by Day
To keep it interesting, you could tweak the schedule slightly throughout the week:
Monday: Focus on strength training, research for your fanfics, and Coursera history.
Tuesday: Try a new recipe in Home Ec., deep-dive into world-building, and do a witchcraft journaling session.
Wednesday: Cardio or dance workout, play with new art techniques, and do pet enrichment activities.
Thursday: DIY project day, Cyberpunk workout, and meditation with a guided visualization.
Friday: Restorative movement, creative play, and a fun class on Coursera.

HUMAN RACES in my TCOD MLP AU
I'd like to introduce you to human races that exist in my MLP AU:³ (I'll add more species as soon as I draw 'em)
Let's begin^^
EARTH PEOPLE (EARTHLINGS)
Tumblr media
• These are the most normal human species
• Earthlings are physicaly stronger than other species
• 1000 years after Twilight's reign ended Earthlings got their G5 plant powers
PEGASI
Tumblr media
• Pegasi are more enduring than other species
• They have small outgrowths on their backs that represent featherless wings
• Every Pegasus has astral wings that let 'em move faster, jump higher, etc.
• Their astral wings can become visible and can be used for an actual flying. However, only a few can master it. Moreover, wings can stay visible only for a short time(example. A fight no longer than 10 minutes), so this isn't permanent feature. Rainbow Dash was the first and only pegasus to unleash her astral wings without needed trainings at a very young age('cuz she's 20% cooler;³)
UNICORNS
Tumblr media
• "Unicorn" is short for "unique person", just edited to sound more pleasant. I know, it's stupid, but who are we to judge the ancient historicans?:0
• Unicorns use catalysts(which represent a cutiemark) to control and guide heir magic properly. Anything can be a catalyst, take a magic wand as an example. But it's mostly some kind of jewelry
• The catalyst is recieved at the age of 5-12 years
• The way unicorns get their catalyst is quite similar to the way Genshin Impact characters recieve their Visions
• Most unicorns are aristocrats or descendants of nobility. Those who were born in a "middle class" family can only use telekinetic powers, meanwhile nobles are taught to perform more complicated spells(Twilight is one of them)
• Unicorns have silver blood due to the magic flowing through their veins
ALICORNS
Tumblr media
• One of the most powerful kinds of creatures in Equestria
• With age their magic becomes so strong it takes physical form of a pair of wings.
• You can be an alicorn by birth but you'll only get your wings and powers with a help of a special magical ritual(That's how the Princesses got their's)
• Common folks believe that alicorns are angels sent by Fausticorn to protect their people from forces of evil
• Luna and Celestia are the descendants iof a long alicorn bloodline, while Cadence is a half-blood: half pegasus, half alicorn.
• Twilight was the first alicorn who had no blood relation to an actual alicorn.
• Flurry Heart was the only alicorn who was born with wings
CHANGELINGS
Tumblr media
• Yep, they are still half insect, half human.
• Aside from wings, they have other insect atributes such as beetle feet or antenas
• Changeling's body is covered with chitin shell, spots with no shell are just meat and rough skin. So, yeah, that's why they have kinda normal hair
• Their eyes have blurry white pupils
• Reformed changelings are more colorful
• In this AU changelings consume love only to keep their shapeshifting powers so they had no need to steal love from other species until their kingdom was destroyed one day.
• Changelings presenting in Equestria nowadays are survived subjects of the Queen and the Queen Chrysalis herself with her three children: Pharynx, Thorax and Ocellus
Tumblr media
DRAGONS
Tumblr media
• Dragons are a warlike people. There were multiple wars against Equestria until they finally signed a peace treaty.
• Dragons have their wrists and backs of their necks scales + BIG scales on their ears
• At the age of twelve Dragons recieve their wings. Puberty•³•
• Some dragons have horns
• They have narrow pupils
• Dragons can enter their full dragon form in the moment of need
• They still breathe fire btw
To see
YAKS
HYPPOGRIFFS/MERFOLKS
GRIFFONS
and
KIRINS
Go here:
For the rest of species go here:
Now, let's talk a bit about this AU's
✨️RELIGION✨️
Here comes
The Goddes
FAUSTICORN
Tumblr media
Fausticorn is the Mother of all living beings of Equestria.
The first and the only Divine alicorn. With her magic quill she wrights the best things to happen to her beloved believers and creations.
Not the only god of the Divine Pantheon but the Head of all lesser gods(who represent the biggest and some smaller MLP content makers:D).
The closest creations of hers, Alicorns, were created to rule and protect humans(including half-human species) from the forces of evil and from influence of the "local Devil".
Speak of the devil...
FATHER OF MONSTERS
Tumblr media
Grogar existed just as long as Fausticorn since she created this Universe.
The cruel lesser ram god, creator of strife, diseases and sorrows.
He created the most dangerous and cruel creatutes to destroy mortals, for these actions he was banished from the Divine Pantheon. And because of this he is known as The Father of Monsters.
The reason Grogar wanted to terorrise human kind is quite silly, yet tragic from his perspective: the only Fausticorn's creation he adored was a sheep. He just couldn't stand the way mortals treated sheeps, the worst case of this treatment being an act of murder of his favorite sheep-like angel.
The most perfect kind of monsters he created, according to Grogar himself, was a Draconeequus. There was only one at first, but as soon as he got banished from the Divine Pantheon Grogar created more to conquer the lands of Equestria.
Grogar's infamous bewitching bell is an artifact of his own creation, made to gather and give magic powers, use his own powers and threaten mortals and the ones who disobey him.
He didn't gave up on his attempts to conquer Equestria once again even after his own creations rebelled agains him, dethroning their "Father", so he had to hide in shadows to succeed.
Grogar was never able to feel joy, sadness, empathy, other ''side emotions". Only feelings he knew were affection and anger, yet a very VERY few beings deserved his so called love.
Untill nowadays, Grogar hasn't been active for 300 years. There are rumours that the tyrant is dead yet some people dare questioning his whole existence.

"Help, I'm an adult and I'm realizing I can't read or write as well as I should/would like to!"
Good news! Literacy is a skill that can be worked on, even once you're out of K-12 schooling! Here are some ways to get started with increasing your knowledge of grammar, reading comprehension, classics knowledge, and writing! Feel free to reblog with more ideas/options!
Go to the library. The brick and mortar building where all the books are. Get a library card (free), and ask a librarian to help you find books on whatever skill you want to work on! I recommend the physical building because the quiet environment, going to a specific place to learn, and access to books that may not be available digitally are all helpful!
Use Libby/Overdrive! These are apps you can use with your library card to check out ebooks. If you're used to reading fanfic on your phone, reading an ebook might be an easy transition! Many apps also have font and accessibility options that can help!
Khan Academy is a free site that has lots of different lessons on grammar and reading! They're geared towards k-12 students, but can be a good place to start if you feel they can help! I've only seen the math lessons personally, but it comes highly recommended!
Find a book you read in high school and read it again! Follow along with SparkNotes or another study guide (STILL reading the book) and think about how you feel about the book without the pressure of a grade. Did you find it more engaging? Did you notice anything new?
Read a lot! Read long form blog posts, news articles past the headlines, books, magazines, newsletters. Read your voter info pamphlets. Read the transcript of a video instead of watching it. Reading engages a different part of your brain than listening!
Start with just one book, hopefully one you already own, and take your time reading it. Keep it in your bag/pack everywhere you go. change your phone wallpaper to the cover of the book to remind you to pick it up instead of scrolling. Take all year to read it! Take your time! Just always have reading be an accessible option for you.
Practice writing more! Journal, write longer Tumblr posts than a pithy one-liner. Start a proper blog, like on dreamwidth or neocities! Write reviews of everything you read and watch and experience! Write fiction, poetry, your memoir! Don't worry about it being publishable or having an audience. Practice just sitting and writing full sentences for the joy of it.
Lastly, since I'm running out of ideas now, look into taking classes again! You don't have to pursue a degree to take English 101. Some colleges even let you Audit classes (where you take the class without receiving a grade or credit), which can be less stressful. Join a book club, or start one! Even try picking out an English textbook at the library and giving it a read.
It's never too late to learn to love reading again. And to get better at it, and even write works of your own. It's not shameful to be a bad reader/writer, but it can be fixed. Happy reading!

The Gilded rebellion, Archive 1402-25-0305
The Rich Man's Rebellion
Excerpt from The Modern History of Tarbrind and Her States by Bertrand Coffman, 1402. "…And having been tried and found wanting by Tarkenbrand, son of Ulnar; Ponsious, former king of Tarbrind, was cast down from the high tower of Tarbrind and his body dashed against the rocks and was rent upon them. Such was the body rent that neither footman nor peasant nor dog of the street could bear him away, and the crows of the mountain feasted upon his flesh." Book of Kings, 1398. Author Unknown.
The Rich Man's war, sometimes called the Gilded rebellion, was a product of severe political unrest and upheaval following the deposition of King Ponsious. When Tarkenbrand ascended to the throne, having physically thrown the former king from the tower of the Upper Gatehouse, he wasted no time in destroying the political power of the old money of Tarbrind. He quickly began removing unqualified military and government persons from service. He severed ties with the rich "sponsors" who had been using their wealth to influence legislature for generations. Naturally, this made him wildly unpopular with the wealthy families of the city.
Who is Tarkenbrand? - Tarkenbrand, or Tarken for short, is the son of Ulnar, citizen of Tarbrind, and a fishmonger. He grew up in a poor household, and joined the military as a way to supplement his family's income at the age of 18. During this time, He and his peers became disillusioned with the ruling powers. By the time his 5 year term was over, he had a wide spread of connections both in the military and among laymen.
As they always did in the past, the old blood of the city banded together to find some way to press this new king into a fitting puppet, or remove him. Naturally, they first went to the military, who had seen the upheaval of nearly 40% of leadership positions removed. To their displeasure, they found that the authority in the military had passed to those guided by duty, rather than gold. Another solution was needed. Meanwhile, rumor that many of the former nobles were plotting to overthrow the throne had reached the ears of Tarken, who decided to show them he wasn't going to play their games. He passed the Refutation of 1399, which struck down the leases which many nobles had on land in Upper Tarbrind, and once again forbidding anyone to live in the high city apart from the King's family and his guards. The act also demanded the assets on the reclaimed property be removed in 3 months, or in 12 months, alongside a heft bailout.
The Refutation Act of 1399 - As is the nature of man, and as the years moved on, the upper class citizens sought to set themselves apart from the proximity of common man. The natural answer was the inselberg of High Tarbrind, land which by law could belong only to the King, and the government by extension. To circumvent this, many rich families paid to lease land in Upper Tarbrind, and build manors there. The Refutation of 1399 severed the contracts of these leases, and made it illegal not only to own land, but for a private citizen to lease land. Not only that, but it became illegal to stay in the sector overnight, excluding only members of the King's family, his guests, and royal/city guards.
This act infuriated the now-disgraced nobles. Forced to live among the common people, they ramped up their plans by withdrawing all financial deals and support from the crown. Since Tarken had no family wealth of his own, this would have been the death stroke to his little show, bankrupting the kingdom overnight and forcing him to sign deals to regain support, or to step down entirely. It would have worked if Tarken had not already secured a personal load from the Emperor of Helebrost himself, who was dealing with a similar situation.
The financial gambit drove Tarken into a rage, and escalated the conflict into a full-blown political war. Tarken executed a nearly tenfold increase on tax for those who owned more than 100,000 Grand Tennet, equal to roughly 3000lbs of gold. This effectively targeted only the exceptionally wealthy, and took into account yearly earnings, value of assets, and invested assets. At the same time, the three month due on the 1399 act had come into effect, and Tarken was able to legally liquidate the assets of the manors of Upper Tarbrind for a huge sum of money, allowing him to hold out against the financial siege much longer. He also reduced the wage tax on the common man, and removed the tax on candles and cheese, which had been in effect for nearly three decades. This action won him huge support from the working class, and completely isolated the nobles who were working against him.
Once month before the restriction on private military was put into effect, the nobles attempted one last desperate attempt to gain the upper hand. They hired a group of 37 mercenaries, who infiltrated the upper city and bribed a guard to falsify the gatehouse record, allowing them to stay until midnight, when they stormed the Royal Palace in an attempt to capture or kill Tarken and his family. The coup ended with a bloody ten minute brawl, in which 33 of the 37 mercenaries, and 6 of the 15 Royal Guard on duty were killed. The newly appointed Vice Captain Talia of the Royal Guard singlehandedly killed seven of the assailants inside the chamber of the King, where she stood guard.
After the incident, the driving names behind the attempt on the King's life were revealed, and they were convicted of treason and executed. By law, their possessions became forfeit to the crown, which boosted the royal treasury far beyond what it had been before Tarken took power, and the Gilded rebellion was put to rest.
