A Brief Introduction to Planet Oa
Nestled in the very heart of the cosmos, at the center of Sector 0, the planet of Oa serves as both the homeworld of the Green Lantern Corps and a symbol of order for the universe at large.
Oa is one of the oldest planets in existence. Its parent star, Sto-Oa ("Light of Oa" in the Maltusian language) is a red hypergiant that formed shortly after the Big Bang. There are eleven planets in the star system (five terrestrial, three gas giants and four ice giants) most of which serve as farmland and resource mines.
Oa is the fourth closest to the star, and it takes approximately 574 Earth days to complete one revolution around its star. The planet is actually tidally locked in its orbit, meaning that it does not have a natural day-night cycle.
However, the Guardians of the Universe have constructed a massive ring of solar arrays that slowly revolves around the planet. The shadow cast by this megastructure simulates "night" by blocking out Oa's parent star from the hemisphere that it shines upon, while simultaneously refracting Sto-Oa's light to the far side to create an artificial "day."
(Would it have been more practical to simply force Oa to spin in its orbit? The Guardians are certainly powerful enough to induce planetary rotation. When asked why they chose this as a solution instead, they declined to comment.)
The Guardians chose to set the length of Oa's "day" equal to their ancestral home's, exactly twenty-and-a-half Earth hours. There are no seasons or months, as the planet does not have any natural moons and only has an axial tilt of about 3°, so the Oan year's subdivisions are almost entirely arbitrary and exist purely for the purpose of timekeeping.
It takes 672 Oan days for the planet to complete one orbit around Sto-Oa. The Oan year is based off the old Maltusian calendar and consists of eight months, each of which is twelve weeks long. Coincidentally, the Maltusians also had seven days in a week.
(That the Oan/Maltusian week has the same number of days as Earth's does is merely coincidence, not an indication of any shared cultural history.)
Oa was a barren rock before the Guardians came and terraformed it into a lush oasis with four oceans and nine continents that host a variety of biomes, ranging from polar to tropical to downright toxic for most life-forms. It has the most varied environments of any world, again thanks to the Guardiansâ technology. They engineered Oa's biosphere in this way because the planet also serves as a safe haven for species from all across the universe.
(The Green Lanterns seek to preserve every inhabited world, or failing that, evacuate the populations to safety. But they do not always succeed.)
This myriad of environments on Oa is what allowed Appa Ali Apsa to create the Mosaic World. Even in the throes of his insanity, he was able to utilize the extant biomes to house the cities he kidnapped. In most cases however, those who are brought to Oa are refugees who only live on the planet temporarily until the Green Lanterns find a new home for them.
Consequently, the only permanent settlement on Oa is the Emerald Citadel, which is located directly at the center of the starside hemisphere. It's a grand city consisting of enormous skyscrapers that are built to varying scales to accommodate the many body shapes and sizes of the Green Lanterns- as well as any diplomats who come to seek an audience with the Corps or the Guardians. The Central Battery of the Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians' Council Chambers are located here.
Oa has been attacked and even destroyed on multiple occasions. The Green Lantern Corps and the Guardians of the Universe have had many powerful enemies over the centuries, such as the Empire of Tears, the Reach, and various other Lantern groups. Some have questioned the wisdom of maintaining a static headquarters in a known location, even with all the power that the Guardians can bring to bear.
But the value of Oa extends beyond the mere strategic. It is not the nature of the Green Lanterns to hide in the shadows. Their light is as symbolic as it is functional. For all that the Guardians have their skeletons in the closet, the Green Lanterns are the defenders of justice and peace for the universe at large. No evil shall escape their sight, and in turn they will not hide themselves from the sight of those they protect.
Of course their homeworld is the shining jewel at the center of the cosmos.
#for such an important planet in GL mythos there's surprisingly little information about Oa in canon#aside from Oa's location and the name of its star this is almost entirely my headcanons#like Sto-Oa being a red sun or Oa having a bunch of environments to host refugees#I have no idea if the planetary mechanics here are viable I took one astronomy class in college and retained nothing from it#ironic considering the theme of this blog#headcanon#oa#green lantern#green lantern corps#dc comics#scifi#worldbuilding

Planetary hours, days, and themesâ
Referenced from âMagical Symbols and Alphabetsâ
A planetary day runs from sunrise to sunset. It is split between 12 hours of daytime and 12 hours of nighttime (pp.45).
The easiest way to use planetary energy for timing events is according to their associated days of the weekâŠa planetâs (power) symbol can be drawn on objects for spells or carved on a candle for meditating on the planetâs associated qualities (pp.40).

in your orbit ê armin arlert x reader

a/n: made the banner in 2 seconds on picsart myb đ«Ąđ i usually dont fw the modern/college au for aot but nerdmin has so much potential :3 read part two here !!
words: 5.9k
cw: nerd!armin, college au, she/her pronouns and fem anatomy for reader, somewhat inexperienced armin #idk, armin is actually a nice person in this au, frat boy eren makes an appearance (obvi), armin gets drunk, reader gets drunk, SMUT!!, so drunk sex, mutual attraction, blowjobs, p in v sex, doggystyle, dirty talk, he whines and whimpers đŠâŒïž, MDNI !!
Ëâ·âÌłÍÍÍâĄ
The rec center was lively, as it usually was this time of day. You checked your phone to look at the timeâ3:56 P.M. Would it be weird to go in 4 minutes early? You wondered to yourself, anxiety getting the best of you. Especially when you couldn't hear even the smallest sound come from the small study room, though you told yourself maybe it was a soundproof design.
Armin Arlert, one of your classmates and now a member of the group project you had been assigned, was the one to set this meeting up. The group project from your astronomy class was a semester-long task, given to you during syllabus week and not to be turned in until finals. Half of the semester had passed and you hadn't even really met the rest of your group membersâaside from Armin.
The two of you hadn't really talked, though. You followed each other on Instagram now and you sat at the same table as him in class (along with a few other people you didn't really know). Aside from that, the guy was practically a stranger to you. But you couldn't deny how you admired him. He always raised his hand in class, never sounding too full of himself or annoying like other people typically sounded to you in lecture. He was also helpful if you ever had a question, especially because you hated going to office hours with professors you hardly knew.
Armin had texted the group chat he made with all the group members a week ago asking if everyone had availability that Friday. A couple people said yes while others just put a thumbs up emoji to react to his message. He didn't mind if they didn't show to the first meeting, really. It was individually graded and if they didn't have availability to meet Friday they could have said so.
You took a deep breath, trying your best to compose yourself before you knocked once and then entered the tiny study room. It contained one table with 6 chairs around it, a TV you could connect your laptop to, and a trash can off in the corner.
And it also contained only one personâArmin.
"Hey," you greeted with a smile, shutting the door behind you and seating yourself down in a chair across from him.
"Hi, you made it," Armin smiled, looking up from his laptop as you entered. "I was just setting things up so we all have access to the slides, just in case anyone wants to make changes."
You nodded, putting your bag on the chair next to you and taking out your notebook and your own laptop. Armin turned his screen slightly so you could see the Google Slides presentation he'd already started.
âSo,â he began, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, âthe project is basically split into three parts. We each pick a topic from the syllabusâwe're focusing on one planetary system or celestial phenomenonâand then tie it back to a central question or theme. I thought we could go with, like⊠how different environments in space might support life? It leaves a lot of room for interpretation.â
âThat actually sounds really cool,â you said, surprised by how easily the conversation was flowing. Armin was easy to talk toâcalm, thoughtful, never pushing too hard. âI was kind of thinking about Europa. Like, that moon of Jupiter? Thereâs been speculation that it could have an ocean under the ice.â
Arminâs eyes lit up. âThat would be perfect for your section. I was thinking of doing something about Titan, Saturnâs moon. We could compare how the chemical compositions of each moon might influence the potential for lifeâor even just how scientists are studying them.â
The hour passed quicker than you expected. Arminâs presence, though quiet, was reassuring. The two of you bounced ideas back and forth, shared articles, and even got a little distracted googling strange facts about different moons. At one point, Armin laughed quietly at a meme someone had edited into one of Titan's photos, and you felt your shoulders finally relax.
âNo one else showing up kinda worked out,â you said as you started packing up your things.
âYeah,â Armin replied, unplugging his laptop from the monitor. âHonestly, I donât mind. We got a lot done. Iâll just post our outline in the chat and if they donât contribute by the next meeting, Iâll talk to the professor. He said we could document that stuff.â
You both walked out into the early evening sunlight, your backpacks slung over your shoulders as the automatic doors of the rec center whooshed open.
As you and Armin stepped outside, the soft warmth of the sun casting long shadows on the pavement, he glanced over at you with a relaxed expression.
âGot any plans this weekend?â he asked, shifting his backpack on his shoulder.
You sighed, a little amused. âMy friendâs been begging me to go to this frat party Saturday night. I haven't been to one since my first week of freshman year."
Armin raised an eyebrow, a small grin tugging at his lips. âAt Delta Sig?â
You blinked in surprise. âYeah. Are you in that frat?â
He laughedâsoft, a little disbelieving. âGod, no. Not even close. But my friend Eren is. Our friend Mikasa and I usually end up at those parties to keep him from doing something insane.â
You tilted your head curiously. âSo⊠you do go sometimes?â
âSometimes,â Armin admitted, his tone casual. âDelta Sig almost got shut down, actually. They had, like, a ton of hazing violations documented over the past decade. I tried convincing Eren not to rush, but he did anyway. Even after I showed him an article about it online.â
You laughed. âWow. That makes me feel so great about possibly going.â
He smiled, nudging your arm lightly with his elbow. âIf you do end up there, try to find me, alright?â
âYeah?â you asked, a little surprised by the offer.
âIâm not a big drinker or anything,â Armin said with a small shrug, âbut Iâll probably be hanging around Eren and Mikasa, keeping them out of trouble. If you go, say hi.â
You nodded, a little smile growing on your face and a flutter in your heart at the idea. âOkay. I will.â
ê
"I look like an idiot," you whined, eyeing yourself in the mirror as you looked over your outfit. As a freshman, you might've worn something like this to these types of parties, but now you weren't sure anyone should wear this kind of outfit. The top was so low cut and the jeans were just simply not it, you weren't sure if you were going for slutty or casual.
"Come on, you look great," your friend, Hitch, said. Her dirty blonde hair was neatly styled and she wore an outfit combination similar to yoursâtiny top with jeans.
"We look like we're matching," you replied, but with no malice. That could be cute, you thought.
"Ugh, you're right. Be right back."
You glared at the back of her head as she turned to presumably go get changed. Your hair looked nice, and so did your makeup. The outfit felt dumb but it wasn't terrible. So why did you feel like throwing up?
"Armin really said to come find you?" Hitch asked when she returned with a grin and different outfit, bringing up the conversation you had in her car when she picked you up. Hitch seemed to be a frequent partygoer to this specific frat, and had met Armin a few times at these functions. When you brought it up in the car, she confirmed that Armin hardly ever drank and mostly stayed near Eren and Mikasa.
"Yeah. He's really sweet, so I didn't expect him to even go to these," you replied honestly, applying more lip gloss. "It wasn't a surprise when he said he doesn't drink, though."
"I'm sure you guys will really hit it off then. You even turned down my 'getting ready shots'."
You rolled your eyes, and soon you were on your way, taking the short walk towards Greek row where the party was presumably already in full swingâHitch insisting on being late so you two didn't look lame waiting for people to show up.
ê
Armin was a mess.
He didn't know why, or how, but in the hours leading up to the party he convinced himself he was awkward and weird for telling you to come see him. He even went to Jean and Eren and begged for advice.
He had so much trouble reading you, but he knew you were kind. And pretty. What he didn't really know wasâwell, everything else. Did you drink? What kind of clothes would you wear? Would you care that he didn't like dancing?
None of the questions made sense, but neithed did anything in his mind. Why was he this stressed over a party? He was practically the babysitter when attending, and it's not like he personally invited you. He just said you should come see him. God, was that even more weird?
Somehow, some way, Jean and Eren convinced Armin to take some shots. Three shots, actually. To "ease his mind" and to "calm his nerves" apparently.
Now, there Armin was in the back of Eren's car, finding the way the streetlights passed the window and the bass of the music electrifying. Everything was warm and fuzzy, and he felt his head spin the entire drive.
ê
The music hit you before anything elseâthick, throbbing bass that vibrated through the concrete steps leading up to the frat house. Red cups were already scattered across the yard, and the dim porch light revealed clusters of people smoking and laughing.
"This is going to be fun," Hitch said, linking her arm through yours. "Come on, let's find your astronomy boy."
You felt heat rise to your face at the nickname. "He's not myâ"
"Yeah, yeah," Hitch interrupted with a knowing smile.
As you squeezed your way through the packed living room, the scent of cheap beer and cologne made your nose scrunch. Bodies were pressed together everywhere, dancing and swaying to music that was way too loud for any actual conversation. You were starting to regret coming when Hitch suddenly squealed and pointed toward the kitchen.
"There he is! Armin's over there with Eren and Jean."
You followed her gaze, and sure enough, there was Arminâbut not the Armin you expected. His normally neat blond hair was slightly mussed, cheeks flushed pink, and he was... laughing? Not the reserved, thoughtful chuckle you'd heard in the study room, but a full, uninhibited laugh that made his whole face light up.
"Is he..." you trailed off, not quite believing what you were seeing.
Hitch's eyes widened with delight. "Oh my god, I think he's drunk! This is amazing. I've literally never seen Armin anything but sober."
You made your way over to the kitchen, Hitch practically dragging you. Armin was leaning against the counter, talking animatedly with two guys you assumed were Eren and Jean. He was gesturing with his hands, something about... constellations? It was hard to hear over the music.
When he spotted you, his eyes widened almost comically.
"You came!" Armin said with such genuine excitement that it made your heart do a strange flip. He pushed himself off the counterâa bit unsteadilyâand made his way over. "I wasn't sure if you would. But you did!"
"I said I would," you replied with a smile, surprised by how endearing his enthusiasm was.
"Hey, Armin," Hitch said, giving him a little wave. "Looking good tonight! Where's Marlowe at?"
"Marlowe? Oh! He's out back, I think. By the beer pong tables." Armin seemed to remember his friends then, turning back to the two guys watching with amused expressions. "Oh! This is (Y/N)," he said your name with such care it made your cheeks warm again. "She's in my astronomy group. We're doing Europa and Titan and life possibilities and it's really cool. And she's friends with Hitch."
The shorter of the two guysâbrown hair, intense eyesâreached out a hand. "I'm Eren. This is Jean." He nodded toward a guy with an undercut and a smirk.
"Nice to meet you," you said, shaking hands with both of them.
"You're in Armin's class? Good luck with that. He's been talking about space for the past hour," Jean said, but there was affection in his voice.
Hitch was already scanning the room. "I'm going to find Marlowe. You good here?" she asked you.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you assured her, secretly relieved to have an out from being around her boyfriend. Marlowe was nice enough, but he was so serious it made conversations feel like job interviews.
"Don't wait up," she winked, then disappeared into the crowd.
Armin was staring at you with an expression of pure fascination. "Your hair looks really nice," he said, the filter between his thoughts and words clearly compromised. "Likeâlike starlight. Did you know some stars have different colors? Red giants, blue dwarfsâ"
"You're such a nerd," Eren cut him off, but ruffled Armin's hair affectionately. "Even drunk you're giving astronomy lectures."
"How much did you drink?" you asked Armin, unable to keep the amusement from your voice.
"Three shots!" Armin held up only two fingers, then frowned and corrected himself. "Only three. They said it would help with nerves. I don't usually drink." He leaned in conspiratorially, lowering his voice but still speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear. "I feel weird. Like my brain is swimming."
Jean snorted. "Lightweight."
Eren reached into a nearby cooler and pulled out a beer, offering it to you. "Want one? Fair warning, I think we've corrupted your study buddy."
You hesitated. You weren't planning on drinking much tonight, but Armin was looking at you with such hopeful eyes.
"Please?" Armin said, swaying slightly. "I feel like an alien right now. Everyone's having fun and I'm just... vibrating on a different frequency."
The way he said it made you laugh. "Okay, fine. One beer. Maybe three, eventually."
Armin's face lit up again as you accepted the beer from Eren. You popped the tab and took a small sip, grimacing at the taste. Cheap beer was still cheap beer.
"Well, now that Armin's in good hands," Eren said with an exaggerated stretch, "Jean and I are gonna go find Mikasa. She texted that she just got here."
"Wait, you're leaving?" Armin asked, a flash of panic crossing his face.
"Relax, we'll be back," Jean said, already backing away. "Besides, you've got your project partner now."
Before Armin could protest further, they disappeared into the crowd, leaving you alone with a slightly swaying Armin Arlert.
"They always do that," Armin said, leaning back against the counter for stability. "Leave me places."
"Looks like I'm on babysitting duty," you teased, taking another small sip of your beer.
"No, no," Armin protested, reaching out and nearly missing as he tried to touch your arm. "You should have fun too. Not justâjust watch me being weird."
"Who says watching you being weird isn't fun?" you replied, finding yourself genuinely enjoying this uninhibited version of him.
Armin stared at you for a moment, then broke into a wide smile. "You're really nice, you know that? And smart. Your Europa idea was so good. I went home and read, like, three papers about it."
"After our meeting? I thought you said you were going to meet Eren and Mikasa."
"I did! But after. I couldn't stop thinking about the project. And..." he trailed off, that flush on his cheeks deepening.
"And what?" you prompted, suddenly curious.
Armin took a sip from his cupâsoda, you noticedâand looked around at the party as if gathering courage. "And I was kind of hoping you'd come tonight. I don't know why. I just... wanted to see you outside of class."
Your heart did that strange flip again. "Well, here I am," you said softly, not sure what else to say.
"Here you are," Armin echoed, his eyes meeting yours with surprising clarity despite his intoxication. "Want to go somewhere quieter? I can't hear myself think in here, and I have so many thoughts right now."
You laughed, finding his honesty refreshing. "Lead the way."
Armin grinned and pushed himself off the counter, taking your hand with a boldness you suspected was alcohol-induced, pulling you through the crowded living room toward the staircase.
As you followed him, fingers intertwined with his, you found yourself thinking that this was definitely not how you expected your Friday night to goâbut somehow, it was exactly what you needed.
Armin led you up the stairs, his hand still holding yours as you weaved through small clusters of people gathered on the steps. You were glad for his guidanceâthe house was a maze of narrow hallways, dimly lit and pulsing with the bass from downstairs. Finally, he stopped in front of a door and turned the handle, peeking in before ushering you inside.
"Jean's room," he explained, closing the door behind you both. The music instantly became muffled, a distant thumping rather than the overwhelming roar from downstairs.
The room was surprisingly clean for a frat house bedroomâminimal clutter, a neatly made bed, and even a small bookshelf in the corner. You glanced around, suddenly feeling like you were intruding.
"Should we be in here? I feel bad taking his room," you said, hovering awkwardly near the door.
Armin shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "He won't even need it until like 4 AM. Trust me. He's either going to be downstairs until everyone leaves or..." He trailed off, looking slightly embarrassed.
"Got it," you laughed, understanding the implication. You took another sip of your beer, feeling the pleasant warmth spreading through your limbs as you made your way to sit on the edge of the bed.
Armin joined you, leaving a respectful few inches between you. "Better, right? I can actually hear you now."
"Much better," you agreed, finding it easier to relax now that you weren't surrounded by sweaty strangers. "So... you really went home and read scientific papers after our meeting?"
His face lit up immediately. "Yeah! There was this one about the chemical composition of Europa's ocean and how it might compare to Earth's deep-sea hydrothermal vents. Did you know there are organisms on Earth that don't need sunlight at all? They just use chemical energy from the vents."
You watched him as he spoke, his hands gesturing enthusiastically, eyes bright with genuine passion. The alcohol had lowered his usual reserve, but it was still Arminâbrilliant, thoughtful Arminâjust with his thoughts flowing more freely. You found yourself drawn to this version of him, the slight flush on his cheeks and the way his hair fell across his forehead when he leaned forward.
"That's actually fascinating," you said, taking another long sip of your beer. You were starting to feel it now, that pleasant buzz that made everything seem warmer, more immediate. "So you think there could be something like that on Europa?"
"It's possible! That's what makes it so exciting," he said, shifting to face you more directly. "We're just beginning to understand how diverse life can be. The universe is so much stranger than we imagine."
You nodded, feeling a pleasant heaviness in your limbs as you leaned back on your elbows. "I need to catch up to your level of intoxication if we're going to have deep space conversations all night."
Armin laughed, the sound soft and genuine. "Trust me, you don't. I feel like my brain is both racing and moving through molasses at the same time."
"That actually sounds kind of nice right now," you admitted, finishing the last of your beer. The room had taken on a gentle, swaying quality, and you found yourself increasingly aware of how close Armin was sitting.
"Here," he said, reaching over to take your empty can and placing it on Jean's desk. As he moved, his shoulder brushed against yours, and you felt a small jolt at the contact.
When he settled back beside you, he seemed to hesitate for a moment before lying back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. You joined him, both of you lying side by side, shoulders almost touching.
"There are glow-in-the-dark stars up there," Armin pointed out quietly. Sure enough, faint green stars were stuck to the ceiling in no particular pattern. "Jean would die if he knew I told anyone. He says they were there when he moved in."
You laughed softly, still tipsy but feeling more sober now.
The dim glow from the ceiling stars cast a soft, ethereal light over Arminâs face as you lay beside him. The alcohol had settled warmly in your veins, making every sensation just a little more intenseâthe softness of the bed beneath you, the muffled bass of the music downstairs, the way Arminâs breathing had slowed into something deep and steady beside you.
You turned your head slightly to look at him, studying the delicate slope of his button nose, the way his eyelashes fluttered when he blinked behind his glasses. His cheeks were still flushed pink from the drinks, and his lipsâsoft, slightly partedâwere just inches from yours. His hair, usually so neat, was tousled from the nightâs chaos, falling in golden strands across his forehead. You had the sudden, overwhelming urge to run your fingers through it, to see if it was as silky as it looked.
Armin must have noticed you staring, because his eyes flicked to yours, and for a moment, the air between you stilled. His gaze was warm, hazy with alcohol but still so Armin, so full of quiet intensity.
Then, without a word, he shifted onto his elbow, leaning over you. His free hand came up, fingers brushing a stray lock of hair from your face, tucking it behind your ear with a tenderness that made your pulse jump.
You barely had time to process it before he was kissing you.
His lips were warm, slightly chapped, and tasted faintly of cheap beer and something sweetâmaybe the soda heâd been drinking earlier. The kiss was soft at first, hesitant, as if he was still unsure if this was okay. But when you sighed against his mouth, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt to pull him closer, he deepened it with a quiet urgency that sent heat spiraling through your stomach.
His hand slid from your hair to cradle your jaw, thumb brushing your cheek as he kissed you again, slower this time, more deliberate. You could feel the warmth of his body pressing into yours, the way his breath hitched when you nipped lightly at his lower lip.
âIs this okay?â he murmured against your mouth, voice rough.
You answered by tangling your fingers in his hair, pulling him back down to you. He groaned softly, the sound vibrating against your lips, and suddenly his weight was pressing you into the mattress, his hips slotting between your thighs in a way that made your breath catch.
The kiss turned hotter, messierâhis tongue sliding against yours, his hands roaming your sides, tracing the curve of your waist before settling on your hips. You could feel the heat of his skin through your clothes, the way his fingers flexed against you like he was holding back from touching you everywhere.
Arminâs breath was hot against your lips as he kissed you again, deeper this time, his tongue sliding against yours in a slow, filthy drag that sent a shiver down your spine. His hands were everywhereâtangling in your hair, skimming down your sides, gripping your hips hard enough to leave marks. You could feel the heat of him pressed against you, the way his body trembled slightly with restraint, like he was holding himself back from just taking what he wanted.
You arched up into him, grinding your hips against his, and he let out a broken groan against your mouth.
âFuck,â he panted, pulling back just enough to look at you, his pupils blown wide with want. His lips were swollen, his cheeks flushed, and his voice was rough when he spoke again. âIâI wanna fuck you. So bad.â
The words sent a jolt of heat straight between your legs. You could feel how hard he was already, the thick line of his cock pressing insistently against your thigh through his jeans.
âYeah?â you breathed, your own voice shaky.
Armin nodded, biting his lower lip as his hands slid under the hem of your top, fingers brushing against the bare skin of your stomach. âYeah. God, you feelâyou feel so good. Can Iâ?â
You didnât let him finish. Instead, you unzipped your jeans and grabbed his wrist to guide his hand lower, past the waistband of your jeans, letting him feel the damp heat of your panties. His breath hitched, fingers twitching against you.
âFuck,â he whispered again, voice wrecked. âYouâreâyouâre alreadyââ
You cut him off with another kiss, sucking his tongue into your mouth as your own hands wandered lower, palming the hard bulge in his jeans. He jerked against your touch, hips bucking forward with a desperate little noise.
âYou too,â you murmured against his lips, squeezing him through the fabric.
Armin shuddered, his forehead dropping against yours as he let out a shaky exhale. âShitâshitâkeep doing thatââ
You did, rubbing him slowly, feeling him throb under your fingers. His breath came in ragged gasps, his hips rocking into your hand, chasing the friction.
âYouâre so hard,â you whispered, biting at his jaw.
Armin whined, his fingers digging into your hips. âBecause of youâfuck, IâI wanna fuck youââ
His hand slid back down, slipping beneath your panties this time, fingers brushing through your slick folds. You gasped, arching into his touch, and he groaned against your neck.
Arminâs breath hitched when you suddenly switched positions and pushed him back onto the bed, his chest rising and falling rapidly as you straddled his thighs. His cock strained against his jeans, the fabric damp with pre-cum, and his fingers twitched at his sides like he wasnât sure if he should touch you or not.
âYouâyou donât have toââ he started, voice already wrecked.
You silenced him with a smirk, taking his glasses off which were slightly fogged up and folding them to put on the nearby nightstand, then popping the button of his jeans and dragging the zipper down agonizingly slow. His hips jerked up, chasing your touch, and you could see the way his cock twitched under his boxers, desperate for relief.
âI want to,â you murmured, hooking your fingers into the waistband of his boxers and pulling them down just enough to free him.
Armin gasped as the cool air hit his flushed skin, his cock springing freeâhard, leaking, and so fucking pretty. You licked your lips, watching the way his stomach clenched as you wrapped your fingers around him, giving him a slow stroke.
âFuck,â he whined, his head falling back against the pillow.
You didnât tease him any longer. Leaning down, you dragged your tongue over the head of his cock, tasting the salty-sweet pre-cum beading at the tip. Arminâs hips jerked, a broken noise tearing from his throat as you took him into your mouth.
It was messyâyou were both still a little drunk, your movements sloppy and uncoordinatedâbut that just made it hotter. You sucked him deep, your tongue swirling around his shaft as you bobbed your head, spit dripping down your chin.
Armin was losing it. His fingers tangled in your hair, not pushing, just holding on for dear life as he whimpered above you. âOhâoh Godâyour mouthâfuckââ
You hollowed your cheeks, sucking harder, and his thighs trembled under you. His cock pulsed against your tongue, and you could tell he was already closeâhis breath was coming in ragged gasps, his hips twitching like he was trying not to thrust up into your throat.
âIâIâm gonnaââ he choked out, his voice high and desperate.
You didnât let up. Instead, you took him deeper, your nose brushing the coarse blond curls at the base of his cock, and that was all it took.
Armin came with a broken cry, his back arching off the bed as he spilled hot and thick down your throat. You swallowed around him, milking him through it until he was squirming from oversensitivity, his hands weakly tugging at your hair.
âToo muchâtoo muchââ he whined, his whole body trembling.
You pulled off with a wet pop, licking your lips as you looked up at him. His face was flushed, his lips parted as he panted, his chest rising and falling rapidly.
Arminâs chest heaved as he blinked up at you, dazed and wrecked, his cock still twitching against his stomach. His cheeks burned even redder as he stammered,
âS-SorryâI didnât mean toâfuck, I justââ
You cut him off with a kiss, licking into his mouth so he could taste himself on your tongue. He moaned, his hands gripping your hips like he was afraid youâd pull away.
âDonât apologize,â you murmured against his lips, grinding down against his thigh, letting him feel how soaked you still were. âJust fuck me.â
Arminâs breath hitched, his cock already stiffening again at the words. His hands slid down to your ass, squeezing greedily as he nodded, his voice rough.
âYeahâyeah, okayâturn aroundââ
Armin's hands trembled as he helped you turn around, his breath coming in ragged gasps against the back of your neck. You could feel the heat radiating off his body as he knelt behind you, his fingers hooking into the waistband of your jeans.
"Fuck," he groaned, dragging the denim down your thighs inch by inch, his voice thick with want. "Look at youâfuckâyour ass is so perfectâ"
The cool air hit your bare skin as he peeled your jeans off completely, leaving you in just your soaked panties. His fingers traced the curve of your ass, squeezing lightly before sliding between your thighs, rubbing over the damp fabric.
"So wet," he murmured, his voice wrecked. He hooked his fingers into your panties next, pulling them down slowly, his breath hitching as your pussy was finally exposed to him. "I'm gonna fuck you so hard."
His thumbs spread you open, and you could feel his hot gaze raking over every inch of youâyour swollen lips, the way you dripped for him, the way your ass arched back, begging for him.
"Hang on, okay?" He said quietly, and you felt the bed shift with his weight. Then you heard the unmistakeable sound of a wrapper being opened. "Don't ask why I know where Jean keeps his condoms. He... likes to brag," Armin said sheepishly, making you giggle as you heard him whimper slightly as he presumably rolled the condom on.
Arminâs fingers dug into your hips as he lined himself up, the blunt head of his cock nudging against your soaked entrance. He hesitated just for a second, his voice shaky with drunken lust and nerves.
âFuckâIâI might not last, Iâm sorryââ
But you barely heard him, because then he was pushing in, slow, that perfect curve of his cock hitting every sweet spot on the way. Your breath stuttered as he filled you, thick and throbbing, and a greedy moan tore from your throat before you could stop it.
âOh fuckââ Your hands fisted the sheets, your back arching deeper, chest pressing into the mattress. âYesâjust like that, Armin.â
Armin groaned behind you, his hips stuttering as he bottomed out, his grip on you tightening like he was afraid youâd disappear. âYou feelâfuckâyou feel so good."
You clenched around him, and he whimpered, his cock twitching inside you like he was already fighting not to spill. But you didnât careânot when he fit this perfectly, not when every ragged breath he took sent sparks through your veins.
Your fingers curled into the sheets, knuckles white, as you rolled your hips back to meet his shallow thrusts. The new angle let you feel him even deeper, and you gasped, your back bowing as a shiver ran down your spine.
Armin choked out a whimper, his hands scrambling for purchase on your hips as he bottomed out, his thighs trembling against yours. âY-You feelâfuckâso tightââ
You grinned into the mattress, rolling your hips to take him deeper, and he let out a broken noise, his nails biting into your skin. He was already unraveling, his cock pulsing inside you, and you loved itâthe way he couldnât hold back, the way he was falling apart just for you.
Arminâs hips snapped forward with a desperate, sloppy thrust, his cock sinking deep into your dripping cunt as a broken moan tore from his throat. His hands gripped your ass, spreading you wider as he watched, his dick glistening with your slick as it disappeared inside you again and again.
âFuckâlook at youââ he panted, his voice wrecked, pupils blown black with lust. âTaking me so goodâyour pussyâs sucking me in.â
You whimpered, your fingers clawing at the sheets as his cock dragged against your walls, the curve of him hitting that sweet spot with every rough snap of his hips. Your vision blurred, pleasure coiling tight in your stomach as he fucked into you with unsteady, frantic strokesâlike he was already on the edge, but needed to make you feel it too.
âYouâreânghâyouâre so tightââ Armin groaned, his hips stuttering as he tried to hold back. His cock twitched inside you, swollen and throbbing, his balls drawing up tight. âGonnaâgonna cumâshitâbut I wanna make you feel it firstââ
His hand slid around your hip, his fingers finding your clit and rubbing rough, frantic circles as he fucked you harder. You gasped, your back arching, your cunt clenching around him as pleasure sparked white-hot under your skin.
âThereâright thereââ you babbled, your voice shaking. âArminâfuckâdonât stopââ
He whined, his thrusts turning erratic, his cock pulsing inside you as he teetered on the edge. âYouâyou like that? Like how I fuck you?â he slurred, his words dripping with filthy praise. âGod, your pussyâs gripping meâsqueezing my cockâfuck, I canâtâcanâtââ
His hips jerked, his rhythm faltering as his orgasm ripped through him. He buried himself to the hilt with a choked-off moan, his cum flooding the inside of the condom.
You felt itâevery twitch, every throb of his cock as he emptied himself inside you, his fingers still working your clit desperately, like he couldnât stop even as he came.
âFuckâfuckââ he gasped, his voice wrecked, his forehead dropping between your shoulder blades as he shuddered through the aftershocks.
You werenât far behind. The filthy sound of him filling you, the way his cock kept twitching inside you as he panted against your backâit pushed you over the edge. Your orgasm crashed over you, your cunt clenching around him as you cried out, your thighs shaking, your nails digging into the mattress.
Armin groaned, his hips grinding weakly against your ass as he milked his own pleasure.
âShitââ he mumbled, dazed, his voice slurred with booze and bliss. âYouâyou just came on my dick..." He pulled out, discarding the condom into a nearby trashcan.
You laughed breathlessly, your body still thrumming with pleasure as you collapsed onto the mattress beneath you. Armin followed, his chest pressing against your back as he nuzzled into your neck.
âYouâre⊠really good at that,â you murmured, your voice hazy.
Armin huffed a drunken laugh against your skin, his fingers tracing lazy circles on your hip. âYeah?â
âYeah," you sighed, grinning as you felt his dick twitch against the skin of your ass.
He kissed your shoulder, his lips soft and sweet despite the filth that had just spilled from them. â...Wanna go again?â
You turned your head just enough to catch his gazeâhis flushed cheeks, his messy hair, his stupidly pretty eyesâand grinned.
âObviously.â

how do you think the calendar is organized in the atla universe? they have a twelve-month system like we do but what would those months each be called? do you think they have leap years?
Right off the bat, let me just say that hypothetical calendars and alternative timekeeping is one of my favorite topics to talk about so this reply is going to be lengthy.

First off, everything we know about the calendar system in Avatar comes from the planetary calendar room in Wan Shi Tong's library.
The innermost ring indicates the number of months in a year (12), the second ring indicates the number of days in a month (30), the third ring indicates the different Avatar eras (16 shown), and the outermost ring showcases all of the animals of the zodiac cycle (12). For this reply, we're only going to be focusing on the innermost and second innermost rings.
According to the episode, the ATLAverse appears to have only 12-month years, so no leap year 13th month like the East Asian lunar calendar. There also doesn't appear to be any months with more than 30 days, judging by the number of days shown on the calendar. This means that the maximum number of possible days for an Avatar year is 360. So it's safe to say that there are probably no leap years like ours in the ATLAverse. I guess their Earth's orbit is slightly shorter and more suited for timekeeping than ours.
As for what each month would be called in the ATLAverse, there's a couple of options. One option is to simply call the months by order: First month, second month, third month, etc. This actually ties back to Avatar's Chinese influence, as that's literally how months are named in Mandarin. This is straightforward, practical, and doesn't require any complex etymology or extensive worldbuilding.
However, I also think it would be fun to weave motifs into the calendar. Since there's so much emphasis on balance and cycles, why not divide the twelve months between the four elements? I imagine these months would be referred to as:
The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Water Month
The 1st, 2nd & 3rd Earth Month
The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Fire Month
The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Air Month
For example, a person might say "I was born during the first water month, in the year of the rabbit." Naturally, there would be plenty of superstitions and horoscopes related to the combination of birth month and birth year.
The show also canonically mentions weeks passing by, although they never specify the number of days in their weeks. In a previous post, I mentioned that government officials during the Qin & Han Dynasty were given a day off every five days to bathe themselves. I think this would be a good basis for a week in the ATLAverse, four days of work and one day of rest. Each working day would be named after a cardinal direction (East-day, North-day, West-day, South-day) and the resting day would be called "Center-day", paralleling a compass.
In short, an ATLA month would be comprised of 6 five-day weeks and a year would be made up of 12 thirty-day months; the days would be themed around the cardinal directions and the months would be themed around the four elements. I think this would be a good way of adding texture to the world of Avatar, without weighing the setting down with too much worldbuilding or cultural baggage.
...And that would just be the default "world" calendar that spirit libraries and world travelers and international organizations would use. I think each nation would probably have their own unique calendar tailored to suit their own cultural and seasonal needs.
I might make a few posts on what each nation's calendar system might be, if anyone would like to read that.
Like what Iâm doing? Tips always appreciated, never expected. ^_^

Astrology observations
Vedic
Part 9
I like this one
Uttara Bhadrapada men (irl) have only ever been major green flags to me. They're really unproblematic as a whole, honest and respectful. They might seem obnoxious to sometimes to people who don't know them but they have much more substance in them than they show. In reality, they don't like to brag or one-up others. U.Bhadras in general (all genders) consider that behavior cheap and lowly.
Punarvasu women can be so chatty and to me, they're the perfect example of "social butterflies". Considering that a larger part of this lunar mansion is in Gemini and Jupiter (their planetary ruler) is known for generosity, their inclusive, enthusiastic and witty nature is not a surprise. They almost always have a hidden sense of humor that might be unexpected for others, in a good way.
I've seen Rohini people have a thinly veiled sense of superiority đ. Of course not all of them are like this. I think that it comes from the ease and the effortlessly received love and affection. It's also less in a condescending sense of the word and more the pride of a person who has not been thoroughly checked and sort of had been given a "pass", an easy way to something.
Anuradha nakshatra is a placement that makes a person exclusive. Anuradha is traditionally connected to friendships, bonds and all types of intimacy. With that you'd think they'd be inclusive but they're only inclusive selectively. Anuardha is fully in Scorpio, natural sign of the 8th house and secrecy is embedded in it. Secret societies and clubs are pretty much under Anuradha's domain.
Bharanis do love medieval stuff lol, I'm repeating this from one of my previous observations but that time I needed confirmation. Bharanis love history in general and they understand that true beauty is timeless. Middle Ages was a time when a lot of the world was stripped down to basics and reverted to a more natural way of living, which can be placed under Ketu and Venus energies. A lot of the symbolism and ideologies popular in medieval Europe resonate to Bharani natives and to the themes of the nakshatra on its own. I might make a separate post on this
I've noticed that people are often drawn to the themes of nakshatras that are yoni consorts of their own nakshatras, especially if they don't have them. Besides being drawn to Revati(yoni consort of my moon) natives, I am fascinated by its themes (completion, abundance, freedom, guidance, flow, deep creativity and spirituality, free will and initiation). Same with Uttara Bhadrapada (yoni consort of my ascendant), but admittedly, to a lesser degree than Revati. I'd appreciate if anyone confirmed this in comments or reblogs đđ€
Uttara Phalguni relates to families and family business. Bringing people together is a result of Dhanishta nakshatra but it's on a more collective and mass level in Dhanishta's case. In case of Uttara Phalguni, they love doting on their family and strengthening it as a unit. Family is a big theme for Uttara Phalguni and it can mean blood or soul family. I go into this subject deeper in a future post that is almost ready.
My respect to Chitra natives who truly go deep into the subject of "the vessel" reflecting the essence. I think only Chitras have what it takes to really dive into and sort out the specifics of what goes with what and what should this or that look like, based on the spiritual truth. The challenge with Chitra is to align the outside to the inside, to not manipulate the surface to the point where it becomes a distortion or something "ugly". Chitra natives (big three and even Ketu) can always appreciate something avant-garde or innovative when it comes to design, appearance or culture but they also, to my initial surprise, have strong opinions about what should not be manipulated. One thing is true tho: they have very postive things to day about plastic surgery and actively encourage it, at least Chitras in my life do. If any of you have this nakshatra and are against it I would not be surprised btw, but text me, or write it below. I think Chitras are mathematical in a way and love accuracy a lot, so they also might be good researchers if they have worked on their neurotic-leaning/compulsive/Virgo-Rahu nature that often distorts the truth. I'd honestly trust Chitras more with research than Jupiter nakshatras or Ketu nakshatras, but ironically, Chitras get less respect with serious matters because they look "too superficial" to people. Jupiter and Ketu people (especially people with both of those naks in big three), on the other hand, get treated as an authority and they barely have to lift a finger, when it truth they tend to gloss over a lot of things and sometimes even twist details to fit a bigger picture that may or may not be true. Jupiter and Ketu nakshatras have positive attributes too but in this instance, when comparing to Chitra, this is the scenario that I recognize
Good thing about Tiger yonis(Vishakha and Chitra) is that with all the confrontational and active nature (that has its downsides and can lead to pettiness) is that you can never blame them for not caring. They are really focused on building and improvement, regarding anything. Vishakhas, I think, tend to be the most honest ones out of Jupiter nakshatras. I think if they lie or do something that they consider wrong they'll eventually do the the opposite, they're going to swing back and forth, because that's their nature, but they can never be just one thing. It's a nakshatra of opposites and contradictions. I've also talked about Chitra a few times already on my blog. So, they're not the kind of people who are fine with faults or mistakes, they usually go for improvement and building, that's what they intend, even if their actions lead to something else (that's the lesson/theme with them, I think).
Bharani and Ashlesha girls should have a free treat each week from the goverment to compensate for past or ongoing trauma caused by mother issues. Unserious but true
...
Upcoming things: Uttara Phalguni women post, more nakshatra playlists and maybe a new small game.
If you have any nakshatras or placements you really want me to make a post on just comment or tell me otherwise and it's going to be noted.
Have a great month ahead đ€

Mars Dominant Themes â đđđ€đŹđĄđđđ«đ đđđŹđđ«đŻđđđąđšđ§ đđđ«đąđđŹ (part 1) đšđ đ©đđ«đ đ
warnings!: mentions of mass-suicide and violence.
Nakshatra rulership indicates deeper behavioural patterns and specific talents rather than oneâs fundamental personality, which is more governed by rashi rulership. This is why I do not prefer mixing rashi and nakshatra observations together, though there are exceptions â such as the rebellious and tantalizing nature of Mars being innately found in all Mars nakshatras and Mars signs. For example; Mars nakshatras are found in many well-known sex symbols, Anuradha may embody the Lilith archetype, Ashwini and Jyestha are known for being audacious and individualistic, while Bharani poetically merges violence â a radical form of rebellion â with beauty, making them one. But the consistent theme observed for this exploration is that Mars nakshatras focus more on bursts of energy, controversy, and the refinement through that.
There's definitely a heightened sense of energy and even aggression in this section of Earth & Air signs, supporting their pure drive through the mentioned themes I'll be touching on. And the themes are very typical of this planetary rulership.
There is this genre in challenging natural order and pursuing one's ideals, a recurring theme in Mars nakshatras, especially in ways that are so radical and even explosive. This can also be seen in mythologies that are particularly associated with Martian figures, such as Andhaka.
I may see an association with Andhaka to the Mars energy found in Ashwini nakshatra, as Andhaka was born blind, symbolizing an unreasonable destructive force. He also symbolizes darkness and ignorance, the combination of Mars's unyielding energy with Ketu's tamasic nature perfectly pointing to Ashwini. Yet, the guna of Dhanishta and Chitra is tamasic â meaning that Andhaka is a greater representation for these nakshatras. Both are considered demonic, which solidifies their connection to Andhaka who is considered a malevolent demon.
Mars is generally the planet most associated with Andhaka, as it highlights aggression and the drive for power. One of Andhaka's closest parallels are the fictional characters, Thanos and Ultron, from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These parallels lie in the legend of Andhaka, this powerful asura (demon) who, despite his humble beginnings, sought to reshape existence according to his own vision. Though blind from birth, he gained invincibility through immense penance and sheer willpower (symbolizing the level of discipline this planet represents) and he commanded an army so strong that it threatened the cosmic balance. Andhaka believed himself worthy of ruling the universe, waging war against Shiva himself, and refusing to yield even in the face of destruction.

Like the character Thanos, Andhaka saw himself as a necessary force of change, willing to eliminate obstacles â including the Creator (Shiva) â to establish a new order.
Even the character Kylo Ren is another Dhanistha archetype, being played by the Dhanistha Ascendant native Adam Driver. Kylo has a vision of a new order, which is not just about destroying the past, but reshaping the galaxy according to his own ideals.
His intensely ambitious and destructive qualities, but also his capacity for transformation, signify the Mars influence. This being a tamasic nakshatra means that it thrives on intensity, chaos, destruction, and rebirth, reflecting his volatility & his drive to tear down the past to build something new (we also see his rise to power when he seizes control of the First Order after killing Snoke, wanting to be his own master rather than to continue to serve a higher authority. Though Dhanistha instills servitude, there's still potential for aggressive rebellion, as this nakshatra reflects self-empowerment â however extreme it may manifest).
Unfortunately, we have seen this mindset, in real time, with world leaders who forced a new order in their own country which essentially became a threat to everyone but them.

Donald Trump, who has Mrigashira Sun, easily comes to mind. Vladimir Putin, who Donald Trump now wants to take after, could have possible Chitra ASC. Xi Jinping also has Mrigashira Sun. And Adolf Hitler, who had a lot of Mars influence, with Chitra ASC and Ashwini Sun conjunct Mars. Even Benjamin Netanyahu, leading genocide for his fascist visions, has Chitra Sun & Moon. Regardless of all of their different ideals, they are examples of Mars functioning not only as a destabilizing force, but as a domineering one too. It needs submission. And so Martians will always have minions and enablers.

Again, Ashwini is Mars energy at its highest levels due to the nodal influence. And according to Claire Nakti, in her Serial Killer exploration, she states that whatever Ketu is conjunct, the themes of that planet become exaggerated or extreme â due to its sucking receptivity; further giving a perspective on Mars and Ketu energies together â which are both tamasic.

Similarly to Andhaka, Ultron, in his pursuit of ultimate evolution, had a plan to replace flawed organic life with a machine-driven future, much like Andhaka's attempt to overthrow divine order with his newfound strength. Both the mythology and Ultron's story arc portray Mars as an agent of transformation, however destructive it is, in them commanding armies and defying all limitations. Mars breaks barriers, in the first place.
This also means that Mars is a symbol of resistance, rebellion and growth as well. The character Katniss Everdeen, played by Mrigashira Moon native Jennifer Lawrence, in The Hunger Games sequel, stands against an oppressive, totalitarian government â her defiance sparking a revolution which threatens to dismantle the system and ultimately break all barriers to force freedom to all.
This is quite reminiscent of the character Curtis Everett, in the film Snowpiercer, who is played by Mrigashira Sun native Chris Evans. Curtis has held deep resentment for the Wilford's corrupt leadership (basically the elite people) and he is determined to lead a revolt against the elite of the front of the train. Another layer which highlights this character as Martian is his engagement in the horrible violence and chaos that ensues. The film is directed by Chitra Moon native Bong Joon Ho.
Violence is used as an equalizing force, since Mars does not moralize and acts on necessity instead. Counter-violence, in some of these films led by Martian natives, is done to balance power structures, rather than cause annihilation. Violence -> restoration.
Mars, being the warrior archetype, embodies the natural response to oppression with absolute force. So such influence will be often seen in strong, revolutionary leaders â even if they do not outright promote violence as a first resort, you will sense their Martian power. Such as the Ashwini Moon native Malcolm X, who strongly believed in self-defense, criticizing passive resistance.

Assata Shakur has Mrigashira Moon.
It is fascinating that Kendrick Lamar, and Tupac Shakur, are considered revolutionary thinkers â both having implemented messages of resistance with their mainstream appeal. Mrigashira Sun, Chitra ASC Kendrick Lamar especially with his aggressive delivery in his album To Pimp a Butterfly, and Mrigashira Sun native Tupac Shakur whose tracks ranged from introspective/political to raw street anthems.
The restless energy in all Mars nakshatras is already responsible for pushing one forward, even to the extremes, to initiate or force change; this being something clearly seen in breaking boundaries or challenging the status quo. Mrigashiraâs association with breaking free is rooted in its dual focus on exploration/seeking and self-liberation/evolution, exactly why stagnancy or oppression cannot be allowed any longer â making this a very rebellious nakshatra. This notion of Mars seeking to transcend stagnancy can extend in other themes. This restlessness is seen through sexual impulses in the Netflix series Sex/Life.

As it is known, Mars in your chart governs one's sex drive and desires. This fiery planet represents passion and attraction. Mars governs primal urges, which include carnal desire, which can be so transformative for the native â similar to the act of violence to restore balance. According to certain Puranic folklore, when Mangala (Mars) sought a consort, he was rejected by various goddesses due to his raw heat. In the series Sex/Life, Billie's primal urges are so fiery and even animalistic that the energy scares her. But she eventually has to embrace that other identity, as Mars deals with raw empowerment. Exactly why natives with this influence quite literally exude sexuality and vitality, which explains why they become sex symbols in the first place.
But Mars, as it carries tamasic and primal energy in its influence, can make people the most evil, violent and domineering if such energy is not used constructively.

For healthier examples of Mars energy being used constructively, we can look at the film Pump Up the Volume (1990). It stars Chitra Moon Christian Slater, whose character agitates and stirs hidden impulses within the collective, bringing forth suppressed frustrations to the surface through his pirate radio station which gains a large following. His ability to ignite rawness in his listeners, encourage rebellion and self-expression, is something so very Martian. Much like Ketu, Mars can have an intense, subconscious effect on the collective â forcing people to deal with their animalistic nature in an authentic way. Christian Slater's character in Pump Up the Volume becomes the catalyst for unpredictable, at times destructive, reactions â which actually inspire growth more than anything. This film also inspired the Disney movie Radio Rebel (2012), with a similar plot, in which Dhanistha Moon Debby Ryan's character sparks a movement amongst her peers and challenges authority. This theme of being a total disruptor of the status quo or encouraging freedom from restrictive rules is a key element in all Mars influences.

So, the core themes of all of these Mars nakshatras are self-assertion and authenticity, which indicates what is supposed to be cultivated with balancing passion and refinement (Mars pushes for transformation, after all).
This being the planet of raw energy, of impulsive action, and extreme rebellion, can reflect themes of needed chaos and animalistic drive. Both of these movies show the Martian influence behind the incite of radical shifts, often seen in controversy and the destabilization of institutions etc. You will also notice how Mercury nakshatras almost function similarly, especially Revati, the nakshatra of peak expansion, which eliminates all barriers (such as the movie V for Vendetta which is about anarchy). This further supports the constant duo between Mars and Mercury nakshatras.

Mars being the literal planet of war, survival, and primal instinct is translated repeatedly in films about lawlessness, violent anarchy, or rebellion, where the main character, usually a Mars nakshatra native, is able to survive using brute force and wit against outward violence & chaos.
The explosive expression of Mars is so perfectly depicted in the movie Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), directed by Chitra Moon native George Miller.

The film's primal core is survival of the fittest, implementing relentless energy in pursuit of the War Rig. And the character Max, played by Chitra Moon native Tom Hardy, represents the perseverance of Mars, able to navigate the chaos & lawlessness with pure instinct and wit â a trait common in all Mars nakshatras as they possess a level of high intelligence.
The plot of the film also includes a violent rebellion against the tyrannical warlord, and the rich cinematography supports the blend of the explosive, fiery nature of Chitra through its artistic genius. George Miller has definitely succeeded in executing his vision, as this nakshatra grants one the ability to express their grand ideas â the Mars rulership giving the native a higher success rate.
Mars nakshatra natives operating as visionaries who are, at times, self-absorbed, or even extremist, definitely points to the urgency and energetic drive which is provided by Mars. And the ability to even dream or think big is provided by the Venus and Mercury influence. The character JD from Heathers is certainly a terrible manifestation of the selfish visionary.

Jason Deanâs need to remake the world (even if it's through mass suicide) and his desire to tear down the oppressive social system in Heathers ties well into the visionary nature of Chitra. He wants to create a "better" world by destroying the old, his motivation making him parallel characters such as Kylo Ren, or even Ultron, in that sense.
As I've spoken of Kakegurui before (the anime & Japanese live-action), I've highlighted Mary Saotome as Martian as she has been portrayed by the Dhanistha natives, Aoi Morikawa & Minami Tanaka. Mary is the typical queen-bee of the school, caring only about maintaining her dominance over others. But then she falls from grace, and she experiences the harsh reality of being at the bottom of the hierarchy.
However, instead of aiming to overthrow the elite system altogether, the powerlessness she feels from being at the bottom fuels her desire to climb back up the ranks and reclaim her dominance. Usually, once the Martian has gotten some taste of power, they're unwilling to let it go. That's why you get these dualistic themes, as someone like Mary Saotome upholds hierarchal systems while someone like Jason Dean wants to destroy them. But, this may also speak to the difference between Dhanishta nakshatra and the earlier Mars nakshatras.
Dhanishta's purpose is to give one the ability to be on top of any hierarchy, which is exactly why its natives can be extremely gifted or resourceful in many things. Dhanistha would be the Mars nakshatra that is likelier to be the non-disruptor, keeping a harmonious nature within society than challenge or rebel against it for radical change, given that this nakshatra is more focused on discipline and gaining power within restrictions (and that is completely due to its Saturn rulership, making it more passive and self-controlled than its prior trine nakshatras).
So the character Mary Saotome is more calculated than violent, as her goal is not to abolish the oppressive system, but to reclaim power within it.
Kylo Ren is similar to Mary Saotome in this regard, as his goal is not to destroy the system, but to seize control of it. He doesn't care about dismantling the Sith or the First Order â he wants to rule over it. Rather than abolishing it, he embraces the Sith-Imperial power structure and works to remake it under his rule. He manipulates, schemes and positions himself to gain power, very similar to Loki, who is played by Dhanistha Sun Tom Hiddleston. Just like Loki, Kylo also has a deep need for validation and power.
Both Jason Dean and Kylo Ren are both driven by anger, rebellion, and a desire to break free from the system â but on their own terms. Though JD believes in destruction, Kylo believes in power. These Martian natives have a singular vision which they spend the majority of the time trying to make a reality. Both of them fall in love, or form an intense connection, with a Mercury nakshatra native who start off idealistic and resistant to the Martian's radical, destructive methods. Rey is played by Revati Sun Daisy Ridley and Veronica Sawyer is played by the Jyestha Ascendant native Winona Ryder. Both Rey and Veronica are challenged to join the dark side with their Martian counterparts, as JD wants Veronica to embrace the chaos and destruction with him, while Kylo wants Rey to rule alongside him.

The very reason why these Mercury nakshatra natives find themselves in an interplay with Mars nakshatra natives is because of their similarities. Rey grew up abandoned and powerless, resenting the idea that worth and power was only reserved for certain bloodlines â typical of Revati nakshatra as it symbolizes the search for belonging and completion (she didnât fit anywhere in any hierarchy, as she floated between worlds; which supports the purpose of this nakshatra to transcend beyond the material <hence why it's called the Wealthy Star, regardless of humble beginnings>, as Revati is ruled by Pushan, the shepherd deity who guides lost souls). And when Kylo voices her frustration, saying to her, "You have no place in this story," this validates her anger and loneliness, as he, too, rejects the rigid power structures that tried to control him. While Veronica despises the toxic social order of her school, where the Heathers dominate, and cruelty is rewarded (her ability to see through the illusions of popularity & power without getting sucked into the superficiality reflects Jyesthaâs sharp awareness & strong resilience). JD's desire to burn it all down initially excites Veronica, only to then scare her away because his destructive, power-driven acts make him no different to the tyrants she wanted nothing to do with in the first place.
To the theme of lawlessness, the film The Purge (2013), quickly comes to mind. It is directed by James DeMonaco, who has his Sun and Moon in Chitra nakshatra, about the institutional breakdown of a government which legalizes crime for one night, encouraging unrestrained Mars energy at its purest.

The film Escape from New York (1981) also has an aspect of lawlessness to it, as New York City is basically a prison to the most dangerous inmates ever â making it a chaotic jungle. It stars Mrigashira ASC native Kurt Russell who plays the character Snake Plissken. He embodies the combination of Mars and Gemini energy, always having a strategy and being constantly on the move. And like a Martian native, he questions authority and doesn't follow orders blindly, having a rebellious edge to him. His survivalist mentality reflects Mrigashira being a nakshatra of searching and surviving, giving one the ability to thrive in dangerous environments (the nakshatra being symbolized by the deer further signifies alertness and perception).

Martians also falling into warrior archetypes is the least surprising, and it's interesting that they are intuitively cast in huntress roles as well. Mrigashira is linked to tracking, making sense of the obvious connections to the genre of bounty hunting. This nakshatra literally embodies the mindset of a seeker, and due to the Mars influence, extends further to the mind of a huntress. Bounty hunters rely on strategy, intelligence, and tracking abilities to locate fugitives. Mrigashira, being ruled by Soma (Moon), which governs intuition, instinct and adaptability, supports the skillset of the bounty hunter even more.

In the series The Mandalorian, Din Djarin was a bounty hunter who is portrayed by the Mrigashira ASC native Pedro Pascal. In the 1977 film A Man Called Blade, Blade is a hatchet-wielding bounty hunter with a dark past who is played by the Dhanistha Sun & Moon native Maurizio Merli. In Star Wars, Boba Fett is regarded as one of the most fearsome and capable bounty hunters, and he was played by Dhanistha Sun Jeremy Bulloch.
The Mars nakshatras being in both Earth and Air rashi sections points to the importance of structure vs fluidity, suggesting that Mars is mastering both the physical and mental battlefields. The whole mastermind archetype perfectly aligns with these nakshatras, specifically Mrigashira, the nakshatra of the eternal quest for knowledge.

The strategy of Mars, the creativity of Venus (Libra/Taurus), and the craftiness of Mercury (Gemini/Virgo), can make for a theatrical trickster, instigator or mastermind, as seen with the character the Riddler.

As Mars is associated with the head, since it is co-ruling Aries (and the head is more emphasized in Ashwini nakshatra, symbolized by a horse's head which signifies qualities of swiftness such as quick wit); this means that Mars drives intellect, providing one the energy to slice through life with strategy and dominance with accumulated knowledge to defeat opponents, giving one the gift in noticing details that nobody else would (this ability often arises when an individual is on survival-mode, further showing how Mars, being associated with survival of the fittest, makes its natives have a keen sense of awareness). This is exactly why Mars nakshatras are often found in medias that have to do with solving mysteries.
Miss Marple is literally the original female detective. She is an elderly amateur, consulting detective who has been prominently played by Mars nakshatra natives. Throughout many film adaptions, she has been portrayed by the following actresses; Chitra ASC Gracie Fields, Chitra Suns Angela Lansbury and Helen Hayes, Chitra Moon Geraldine McEwan, Dhanistha Moon Joan Hickson, Dhanistha Sun Julia McKenzie. In the series DI Ray, Chitra Moon Parminder Nagra plays a Birmingham-based detective. In the series The Fall, Dhanistha Moon Gillian Anderson is a sharp, determined detective. It reminds me of the relentless detective in the Spanish series Berlin, played by Dhanistha Sun & Moon native Najwa Nimri. Though you'll see Ketu nakshatra natives take up this genre as well, it seems to be dominated by Mars influence. In the film Silence of the Lambs, Magha Moon Jodie Foster plays detective Sterling who is the fixation of a terrifying serial killer; in Hannibal, Jodie Foster is replaced by the Mrigashira Moon & ASC native Julianne Moore, continuing the story as detective Sterling who finds herself in what you'd consider a dark romance, or game of prey-&-predator, with Hannibal (which has to do with Mrigashira nakshatra, in general, more than it just being a Mars nakshatra).
So high IQ, beauty, mass appeal, and dominance can be a full package when it comes to Mars nakshatras. Each Mars nakshatra may provide one with a gift to expand one into elite rooms or into higher positions of power.
Dhanishta nakshatra possesses Khyapayitri Shakti, which is the power to bring fame and abundance. Mrigashira nakshatra, with its seeking nature, is powered by Prinana Shakti, which gives fulfillment. Chitra nakshatra, ruled by Tvashtar, who is the cosmic craftsman, has the ability to accumulate good merit in life from being powered by the Punya Chayani Shakti.
As Dhanistha is associated with rhythm & performance, Mrigashira being partially ruled by Venus, and Chitra's deity, Tvashtar, being the god of artisans and fashioning, it comes as no surprise that these nakshatras are prominently found in the art, entertainment, and fashion industry or in celebrity culture in general. Often the faces of the glitz and glamour.
Chitra especially, since it signifies beauty, meticulousness and expressing imagination on the material plane. Chitra is literally the nakshatra of the visionary.
The Disney princesses I'd confidently associate with Chitra are Moana and Ariel. As this nakshatra is symbolized by the pearl, it points to the pursuit of brilliance. And like the pearl hidden in the ocean, their path involves venturing the unknown, seeking newfound radiance or, similar to Mrigashira, finally capturing the higher power they've always been seeking â showing just how these natives are deeply aligned to fate. Mars provides these characters with enough enthusiasm and restlessness to fulfill that destiny.

Mrigashira, Chitra, and Dhanistha each embody core themes which have to do with the relentless pursuit of fulfilment, whether it be alignment with one's true identity (such as through Mrigashira's trope of memory loss, or Rapunzel retracing her true roots), or knowledge, mastery, status/validation, or freedom. All three nakshatras make individuals challenge their own limitations, as they are a force of growth themselves. This falls perfectly well into the warrior archetype which defies hierarchy and reshapes their reality through strategy, ambition, rebellion, and even violence.
All of this just to say, they have the power of INFLUENCE and IMMENSE GROWTH.

Any recommendations for a rules-lite mecha game?
THEME: Rules-Lite Mechs.
Hello friend, I sure do! I had a really fun time putting this recommendation list together, so I hope you also find something fun in here!
Reactors & Romance, by JP Bergamo.
Reactors & Romance is a rules-light, narrative-focused, one-shot-oriented RPG featuring mechs and flirting.
Players take on the role of a hot-shot mech pilot with only two ways of problem solving: flirt your way through with your romantic charm, or fight your way out with your mech. Your ability to do either is measured with one stat, your HEAT. Your HEAT measures both how hot your mechâs reactor is getting, and how hot of a pilot you are. Your mech will get less and less reliable as it builds up heat and takes on damage. Fortunately, you have always done your best flirting under pressure.
Say hello to a beautiful, quick game that focuses on the emotions that sizzle inside the gigantic battle machines, as well as the fights that might make those relationships complicated. With a nod to Lasers & Feelings, Reactors & Romance has some additional bits and pieces to play with, such as heat, which both propels you into the danger zone and also makes you very attractive. You also have Keepsakes, which are meant to represent romantic connections that help you clear your Heat. The author references Thirsty Sword Lesbians, Promare, and Gurren Lagann, which all make me super excited about this game.
Mech and Kaiju, by Minbot.
You are the pilot and crew of the Dominator, an advanced bio-mechanical skyscraper sized battle suit designed and built to fight the Kaiju, gigantic leviathan creatures from beyond the depths of space.
Based on the popular Lasers and Feeling RPG by John Harper and created for the Minimalist TTRPG Jam 3.
Simple and descriptive, Mech & Kaiju asks you to determine a few traits of your characters, a few traits of the mech you pilot, and a few truths about the Alien Overlord and the Kaiju you're going up against. When it comes to rolling, it's typical Lasers & Feelings: roll under your target if the situation is related to logic, reason or technology, and roll over if your approach is related to emotion, reasoning, or biological understanding. If you want a contrast between flesh and metal, you might like this game.
Resonance, by Foolhardy Press.
You and your team are Pilots; called upon as a team to control a single Mech capable of defeating the Intelligence
With your skills combined, your party alone can pilot the mech via Resonance, a state of understanding acquired through intense training and compatibility.
Each of you has an individual role to be expressed through your control of the Mech; the Captain, the Gunner, the Engineer, the Hacker, or the Muscle.
You must defeat the enemy Intelligence within a constricted amount of rounds or fail your mission.
Resonance feels very much inspired by Pacific Rim, what with the idea that all of your team is responsible for piloting a single mech, and the fact that the game defines success as relative to a target called The Drift. I like the idea that success here is related to how aligned the crew is in regards to the goal; it's an excellent example of a game that tries to weave the themes of the story into the mechanics.
Mechers, by Jason Pickering.
Welcome to Odin Corp new employee. You get to start your exciting new career as a Mecher working with our resource gathering facilities on the planet Sif 11. Your exciting career will see you wearing an Odin Corp Mech Suit as you transport cargo and supplies between our many different planetary stations as well as light resource gathering duties. In your journey you will see the wondrous sights, flora, and fauna this planet has to offer. Yes! Itâs dangerous work, but your hard work will allow the facilities to keep operating so we can supply Odin Corp products to families galaxy wide.
Mechers is a rules-lite ttrpg that uses a 2D6 system, to determine outcomes for player actions. Players pilot a mech equipped with gear and adventure across an alien planet dealing with wild flora and fauna and an overbearing corporation. So grab your Dice, Load your tools, and head out into danger.
If you love mechs but you want to do something other than fight, Mechers is probably where you'll feel most at home. Your players are using mechs as tools to help them explore planets, rather than fight battles, although I wouldn't be surprised if you have to get a little bit physical to get yourself out of some tricky situations. Getting past obstacles requires filling tracks to represent the effort it takes to work through difficult situations.
Attempting to overcome an obstacle involves rolling 2d6 and trying to get a 7 or higher, with results of 10 or higher being without any consequences. It feels very akin to PbtA in terms of result range, but I think the ethos is a little less about generating interesting results and more about using what resources you have to improve your rolls and reduce any damage you take.
Immortal Gambit, by TitanomachyRPG.
IMMORTAL GAMBIT is a pick up and play 1-page mecha TTRPG you can start as soon as everyone has arrived to the session. Every player picks a different role (Pilot//Pilotâs Mech//Battleship Captain// Faction Leader//Rival//Rivalâs Mech) and their own goal. Try to accomplish your goal while deducing who you can trust--and who is working against you!
Immortal Gambit looks to be about pitting children against each-other in gigantic mechs, all for political gain. I think it's interesting that a character and a character's mech are two different roles that are played by different people. Each character has a personal goal, one that is hidden from the rest of the table. You take turns trying to turn the tides of battle in your direction, using a d20 and a coin. I think it's interesting that this game is very competitive, and encourages your characters to work against each-other. It's a little bit like a hidden role game, so if you like keeping secrets, I think you might like this.
Big Robots, Big Feelings, by RentAThug.
Prime your laser cannons, draw your energy sword, and pilot your mech to glorious victory the only way you know how: how by feeling more feelings than anyone has ever felt! Battle enemy mecha and your own raging emotions in BIG ROBOTS, BIG FEELINGS!
Big Robots, Big Feelings is a one page RPG designed for the 2024 One Page RPG Jam! The game uses a simplified version of the Powered by the Apocalypse system, with Action Rolls determining outcome. Inspired by mecha anime, these Action Rolls are influenced by your character's emotions and relationships with other characters, allowing you to literally use the power of friendship to destroy your enemies.
This game feels very in tune with the color-coded superhero genre, with bright colors and themes that really double down on tropes. Your character has a background, three emotions, and a Mech that's designed to reflect their personality. When you try to do something, you use 2d6, as per a typical PbtA game, with modifiers related to your emotions and your relationships. In Big Robots, Big Feelings, you truly do win fights with the power of friendship!
Sad Teen Mecha Pilots, by Unknown Dungeon.
INCOMING TRANSMISSIONâŠ.
Over twenty years ago, the first Demon attacked. Humanity fought back, but suffered great losses in the process.
In the decades since, a secretive program was initiated to build monstrous bio-mechanical mechas to fight the Demons, and to train the young pilots who control them.
You are those pilots.
Sad Teen Mecha Pilots is a collaborative story-telling RPG about the lives of young people faced with the impossible task of saving the world, and the strain it puts on them and their relationships.
A simple one-page game, this is all about the motivations behind a war, and the strain of trying to hold off Doomsday. The lose state of the clock is represented in a Doomsday clock, which looks like it's already partially filled when you start to play the game, although I'm not entirely sure if that's the intention. When the clock hits the Eleventh Hour, your characters are pulled away from their teenage lives for a nearly-hopeless battle.
The bulk of the game is definitely focused on the daily lives of your characters; their family relationships, their struggles with school or friendships, and recovering from wounds. I'd be interested in seeing how this game might combine with a more mechanically complex mech game to provide a lot of pathos in between high-combat scenes - although you as a group would have to be OK with going up against pretty impossible odds.

Degree Theory Series: The Leo Degrees (5°, 17°, 29°): Unveiling the Complexities of Power, Prestige, and Presence
â Leo degrees represent a striking influenceâone that combines ambition, charisma, romance, and a near-magical allure. The house that Leo is in your chart is reflective of the area of life that you have the potential to receive a lot of attention. Â It is literally the sign of reaching for the stars. Â But beneath the well-known themes of fame, leadership, and power, these degrees have deeper, sometimes hidden qualities that shape the lives they touch. Hereâs an exploration into these powerful degrees, plus the distinctive flavors they create when combined with different planetary energies.
5° Leo: The Catalyst for Expression and Presence
Keywords: Bold action, self-expression, initiator, elite status, teaching and guidance.
â° â©àż
Personality and Physicality: Known as a degree that heightens presence, 5° Leo lends a dignified, commanding air that can be quite magnetic. David Hasselhoffâs for example has a Venus at 5 degrees of Leo. Back in the day, David was known for his magnetic charm and stage presence. He had set the Guinness world record of the most watched man on Tv. This degree supports his appeal as the central figure of Baywatch, Knight Rider and other things, and it shows his ability to thrive under the spotlight. He had set the Guinness world record of the most watched man on Tv.
5° Leo isnât just the âleaderâ degree; it often marks those who naturally attract authority and influence without having to seek it.
Hidden Quality of Resourcefulness: A lesser-known quality of 5° Leo is its connection to resourcefulness in high-stakes situations. Those with this degree on key planets often discover remarkable ingenuity under pressure, especially in challenging or isolating circumstances. To thrive in the spotlight, you have to be very resilient.
17° Leo: The Degree of Visionary Influence and Endurance
Keywords: Legacy, public service, intellectual pursuits, mentorship, teaching roles, family connections.
Social Reach and Legacy: 17° Leo reflects someone whose influence extends over time, resonating through a legacy, particularly through teaching, law, or service roles. the 17th degree is the 2nd highest degree amongst the leo degrees (5, and 29 are the other leo degrees) meaning that it has a âlongevityâ behind it. Thereâs often a connection to mentorship or guiding others, and those with 17° Leo placements may be naturally drawn to academia, justice, or philosophical pursuits. They often think in terms of generations and long-term impacts.
Oprah has her MC in 17 degree of Libra.
Elvis Presley is a prominent example of a celebrity with a 17° placement, specifically with his Sun at 17° Capricorn, which is influenced by the âLeo degreeâ due to degree theory. This degree is associated with lasting fame, a magnetic stage presence, and the ability to create legacy and extend over time. Elvis Presleys music has the ability to transcend timeâthis aligns with Elvisâs legendary status as the âKing of Rock and Roll.â The 17° Leo degree amplifies qualities like charisma, recognition, and impact in the public eye, traits strongly reflected in Elvisâs career and enduring influence in music and culture.
Another example is George Michael, whose Ascendant is at 17° Cancer, lending him a path aligned with Leo qualitiesâdrawing attention, captivating fans, and excelling as a charismatic performer in the entertainment industry. Both figures illustrate how the 17° Leo degree enhances the potential for significant, long-lasting public impact and memorable artistry.
These cases highlight how the 17° degree is seen as one of prestige and enduring influence in charts of famous figures, marking individuals with an aura of distinction and an ability to maintain a lasting legacy in their field.
The Role of Family and Support: This degree frequently connects individuals with family lineage, both in values and sometimes through inheritance or positions of responsibility within family networks. The âfatherâ degree, it suggests an ability to support or uplift family lines or nationsâcarrying a certain gravitas that inspires collective respect. Just as 17° Leo was prominent in Bill Clintonâs chart, it speaks to enduring influence, as well as the idea of a ânational father figure.â Again with Presley he was considered the Father or King of Rock and Roll.
Lesser-Known Influence in Social Structure: Lesser known is 17° Leoâs gift for navigating social structures, from rallying support to surviving intrigue. Individuals with this degree may exhibit a resilient streak, successfully facing threats or challenges within power structures=Much like Elvis who did receive multiple death threats and kidnap warnings, particularly while performing in Las Vegas.Â
29° Leo: The Degree of Transformative Leadership and Strategic Vision
Keywords: Finality, transformation, intuition, covert planning, prestige, challenging circumstances.
Mystery and Power Dynamics: Known as an âanareticâ degree, 29° Leo carries themes of completion, change, and high-stakes decisions. People with this degree tend to face intense personal or public challenges that demand creative problem-solving and often put them in complex or strategic roles. A bit of a âchameleonâ degree, it suggests someone who can operate under the radar and emerge victorious, often as a reformer or innovator within traditional structures. Leaders like Winston Churchill, who had his Moon at 29° Leo, epitomize the strength of this degree. Similarly, Donald Trump's 29° Leo Ascendant underscores a charismatic presence and his controversial but impactful role in the public sphere, navigating complex political power structures. They guy became the president of the United States at one point and is up for office again.Â

Astrology Observations Part - 8 :
In mythology, Aphrodite was the Goddess of beauty, fertility, sexuality, passion, pleasure and procreation. She is all about physical attraction and beauty, so naturally, her planetary ruler is Venus. But in reality... She was jealous of a mortal (Psyche) for garnering more attention and praise for her beauty. Aphrodite became so jealous of Psyche that she sent her son Eros to make Psyche fall in love with the ugliest man in the world.

The natal might have been cheated on, hurt or humiliated.. because of all the pain they had.. they will have a hard time trusting any new partner. They also attract a significant amount of jealousy when they r doing well. These natals really grow and spiritually evolve during solitude.
