Not me who made a Hadir Karim playlist because I couldn't find any and had to put matters into my own hands..

Not like it's a very long one or one that might be very connected to Hadir, just songs that make me think of him every time they start playing.

Here are the songs that are on the playlist:

1. waiting Room (Phoebe Bridgers)

“Know it’s for the better” He stole the gas and used it because he wanted Urzikstan to be free. And “Plus, I know whatever happened to me, I know it’s for the better” because let’s be honest he probably knew he was going to die at some point, and he knew that it most likely wasn’t going to be from natural causes, not with the war he grew up in.

2. Fool (Bôa)

“You and I, born as fools now.” I don’t know what it is about this line, but it hits and it makes me think of Hadir. Maybe because he used the gas, making Farah despise him. “You and I think, think we rule now” this mf became Commander at some point, which just ENRAGES Farah, no?

3. O Superman (Laurie Anderson)

Well, does this song need any explaining? I found this song on a Farah playlist (made by one of my favourite Tumblr accounts, hence me making a post about the Hadir playlist). So if this song makes me think of Farah, it immediately makes me think of Hadir.

4. Love and War (Fluerie)

Love and War, says it in the title, no? Plus, “the truth begins to show”? Him using the stolen gas to save Farah and Alex, but only killing the Russian army and some ULF soldiers (if I remember correctly). And don’t even get me started on “lover, hunter, friend and enemy, you will always be every one of these.” UGHHH it's such a good line and I think that it represents Hadir very well, maybe alongside Farah too.

5. In the house - In a Heartbeat (John Murphy)

Do I really need a reason for this song? It's so good and it makes me think of numerous edit ideas (despite the fact that I give up on editing the minute I open Capcut), just the vibe and sound reminds me of Hadir, makes me think of his whole character development, his story, ect:

6.Forest (Twenty One Pilots)

"The situation's becoming dire" The line makes me think of the moment when Hadir calls Alex to help him get the gas, making it be used and everything kicking off and him becoming the enemy. "And for some reason I smell gas on my hands" well, this needs no explanation. "This is not what I had planned" Although I think that Hadir knew that Farah would have gone against him the moment he decided to use the gas, I feel like he wouldn't expect her to basically turn on him so much that it seemed like she didn't love him anymore.

7.Army Dreamers (Kate Bush)

I think everyone can see why I put this song on here, not only because it is such an amazing song, but also because Hadir is obviously a solider. Also, I know the song's meaning is about a mother grieving her son dying because of war. HOWEVER, the song does heavily remind me of PTSD that soldiers suffer from (more so from the music video where all their eyes are wide, which kinda is like Shell Shock/PTSD), and I'm 100% certain that Hadir, like any other character is CoD, would suffer from some type of mental illness, or nightmares, or grief/guilt from being soldiers.

8. I know it's over (The Smiths)

The repeat phrase of 'Oh mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head" just makes me think of how he died and, in my head, I have an image of him just dead and, well, we know his and Farah's parents are dead. I don't know how to explain it exactly, been staring at this paragraph trying to figure out what the hell I'm trying to say. But it just makes me think a lot of him and his mother, because I seriously get vibes from him that he was a mama's boy before she passed.

9. Advice (Alex G)

"The world is full of fishes, but I trust you" really makes me think of him and Farah, because the two of them would have had to relied on each other at a young age after their parents died and when they were building up ULF and during their time in prison. They would have had a lot of trust in one another, which makes sense with the amount of pure betrayal and rage we hear in Farah's voice when she finds out Hadir stole the gas and then used it. The two of them would have had such an almost unbreakable relationship, not only because they are siblings, they trusted one another and they went through so much, they would have HAD to have trusted each other.

10. Poison Tree (Grouper)

This song alone has so much emotion to it, it ALTERS my brain chemistry. I love this song, so it just meant I had to link it to one of my favourite characters. Which, therefore, means it has a place on the playlist.

11. The Hand that feeds (The Crane Wives)

This song screams Farah, but I feel like it could apply to both Hadir and Farah. Afterall, the both of them are doing a tiring job that is going to both mentally and physically drain them. It's dangerous and they know it. "My papa taught me how to growl, how to bear my teeth and growl", although in the scene where we see of kid Farah and Hadir, their father turns to Hadir and says to 'stay strong for Farah', this is probably one of the many reasons why he does so much for her, even if makes her fucking despise Hadir for what he's done.

12. I wait for you (Alex_g_offline)

"I wait for you" I don't know what is it about the repeated line that makes me think so much about Hadir, about his whole character, but for some reason it really does.

13. If we have each other (Alec Benjamin

The song that makes me, really, think of any two characters that are related. "So I'm thankful for my sister, even though sometimes we fight" the line is more so towards the usual sibling type fights that happens throughout with growing up with siblings, which would easily be able to apply to the two of them. However, it also makes me think about the fact that Hadir still loves Farah and calls her sister, even when she hates him. When he was dying, he even said to her that he still loves her even though she hates him now (something along those lines)

14.Where'd all the time go? (Dr. Dog)

"There ain't no way to sweep up the mess that we've made" I know it says 'we' but I think that Hadir regrets what he did, even if he believes that it helps winning against the Russian army, I don't think he likes that fact that Farah hates him over it and he knows that he can't do anything to fix that, to 'sweep up the mess'. There's no fixing that, there was no fixing that broken trust between them after that.

hey everyone!! so, originally, i wanted to do one of these back when all of y'all were posting your 'follow forever' + favorite blogs lists for new year's eve, but at that point in time i didn't feel like i knew anyone well enough to make a full list. but now, it's been almost nine months (holy shit!!!) since i joined this fandom, and there have been so many people that i've connected with and who have made my experience on here so much fun and so special.

plus...it's my birthday today, so i thought - what better way to celebrate it than to show my immense love & appreciation for all my mutuals, followers friends, and anyone who has ever made my tumblr experience better?

this isn't really in any particular order, and also, i am so so sorry if i forgot anyone. i had to type this out at least six times over the past two months because tumblr kept deleting my progress for some reason, so i'm really sorry if i missed anyone because of it. i recognize the urls of anyone that regularly interacts with my posts, so i promise that if you've ever left nice tags in the reblogs of my gifs or replied to any of my WIPS or tagged me in a gifset or in a tag game or sent me a nice ask or anything at all, really, please know that i think you're wonderful and i love you all so much even if tumblr hates me and decided to erase all of the evidence of it 😅

Fuzzy's Fallout 4 Mod List

Finally decided to put together a list of the mods I use. (I even made a quick and crappy banner!)

I use Vortex to manage my mods, it's super easy and basically holds your hand through installing and setting up mods. You're also going to need F4SE no matter what.

I mostly find my mods on Nexus, so just search the names listed here on there. Anything not found on Nexus will have a link to it (tumblr only allows 100 links, so I couldn't just link everything).

I would also recommend keeping all of your original file downloads in a seperate folder in your games drive or wherever, organised however is easiest for you. That way you can check what you have outside of the manager, and don't have to re-download everything if you decide you need to nuke vortex and start fresh - just look for updated files only. You also won't completely lose access to the mods you really enjoy if the author decides to hide or get rid of them, since you'll always keep a version on your computer.

I also play with a lot of Creation Club content.

(Now, y'all might say that's a lot of mods. And it is. But the only significant issues I have is that when I die my game crashes to desktop, and the excess of Creation Club content loading at the start of the game sometimes bugs out the first stage of the main quest, and thus poor Codsy and Preston. I just have to skip Codsy's search bit and rush to meet and save Preston to see if he will talk to me or not. Otherwise things run as normal -for a Bethesda game.)

Okay, so. I've mentioned having some sympathy for Izzy fans before because I too loved a secondary character who died, yeah? (I mean, I wouldn't directly compare Felix Gaeta and Izzy Hands because those are very different characters, but.)

There's another reason: I was a Kylo Ren fan.

I've always been more of a Star Trek person than a Star Wars person. Star Wars is more of a fun popcorn thing for me; it doesn't get its hooks in me like Trek does, but I grew up watching the original trilogy and I have some nostalgia for the prequel trilogy, which came out when I was exactly the right age to love it (that is, eleven).

So I saw The Force Awakens when it hit theaters in 2015 and thought it was pretty okay. I went in with extremely low hopes (my last encounter with J.J. Abrams was Star Trek: Into Darkness -- the only Star Trek movie I genuinely hate, thank you) and, even though it felt derivative, those low hopes were exceeded. I liked the cast, and I thought it was neat that we had a female lead and POC in primary roles.

And I was genuinely surprised by Kylo Ren. I hadn't thought that Disney's Star Wars would dare to make the legacy character a villain, and I definitely didn't think that villain would straight-up murder fan favorite Han Solo, his father. That was interesting! I thought that there was real potential to say something about that common villain we encounter today: violent, extremist white men.

Plus, Kylo Ren was fun. He was a petulant idiot who loved LARPing as his grandfather. He idolized Vader but apparently lacked the critical thinking skills to understand his story. He was the family disappointment, the gifted child who turned into a fucking awful adult, and emo in the way that I was emo when I was in middle school. Like, the Space Fascists really looked at that guy -- a magical space wizard with the maturity and self control of a toddler -- and made him leadership. That's scathing political commentary, right? Right?

Long story short, I mostly ignored Star Wars again until Last Jedi came out and was, in my opinion, actually a pretty good movie.

I ended up on Star Wars Tumblr (as one does) and quickly realized that the Kylo Ren I found interesting was not the Kylo Ren that people were talking about. There were two camps: people who loved Kylo Ren and thought he was a much better person than he ever was, and people who hated Kylo Ren and often, by extension, anyone who liked him.

I didn't fit in with the pro-Kylo people. Most Kylo fans were big shippers, and the two main ships were Reylo and Kylux. The only thing I shipped Kylo with was therapy and at least a decade alone to think about his mistakes Luke-style; I didn't think anyone deserved to be saddled with him, and Hux was a one-note space fascist with zero personality. (Also? The Hux woobification was even worse than the Kylo woobification, if you can believe that.) Even when Kylo fans weren't shipping, they were writing meta about a character that just... didn't exist in the movie? I was perplexed.

On the other hand, I was afraid of the people who hated Kylo. There were posts that boiled down to "people who like Kylo Ren more than Finn are racist" and "Kylo Ren sympathizers are fascists." I saw several nasty anon messages sent to Kylo fans. At least one person was doxxed.

So I was quiet. I never posted anything but some dumb memes I'd edited. I barely reblogged things (aside from some Rose Tico content). I wondered if I was racist or just completely insane and enjoying a Kylo Ren I'd made up in my head. The only time I had any fun with Star Wars was when I was off of Tumblr and enjoying it with my friends, so I slowly drifted away from online fandom.

I stopped engaging with Tumblr Star Wars content when I saw several posts about how Kylo Ren is super marginalized (femme-coded, mentally ill, etc) and deserves infinite grace. I stopped engaging with Star Wars content full stop after Rise of Skywalker came out and it was just... fucking awful, and destroyed my hope that the trilogy was getting at something relevant and meaningful.

(I did laugh at two points in the movie, though: first when Hux was shot dead, second when Ben Solo dropped dead. Those moments were edited like comedy beats, I swear to god. I also really like Babu Frik. That guy's cute.)

There are a lot of parallels to draw between Kylo Ren fandom and Izzy Hands fandom. The characters themselves aren't that similar and the canons are completely different (like, OFMD is so much better than the sequel trilogy as a whole that I feel bad even putting the two in the same post), but, as many people have said before, there's plenty of room for comparison. It's a fandom springing up around a white villain -- not bad in itself, but huge chunks of that fandom turn that villain into a different guy and deem him more sympathetic and more important than the main (not male, not white, not gender-conforming) characters.

I don't regret being a Kylo Ren fan. I still have and like a few Kylo knick knacks that my friends gave me, and if I could bring myself to watch any of the sequel trilogy movies again, I'm pretty sure I'd still find him more interesting to chew on than the other characters. Rey and Finn and Poe are great and I'm glad they were (set up to be) the stars, but I don't really find them any more compelling than all of the other Star Wars characters that I enjoy in passing (and yeah, that does include the original trilogy trio, put me in fan jail).

I'm not getting at anything with this. I probably won't even tag it because none of it matters, but I wanted to confess just in case anyone following me doesn't want to trust someone who paddled around in the shallows of Kylo Ren fandom. I also feel like there are a lot of interesting comparisons to make between Kylo Ren and Izzy Hands and their respective fandoms, and I can't really make those comparisons in the future without admitting that I was there, can I?

some stuff about my writing process for the fic! be warned that if you haven't caught up yet, there are spoilers

story planning:

while we've gotten plenty of yeonjun in prince outfits over the years, the main inspiration for this fic is yeonjun's opening outfit in act: sweet mirage! i saw that and was like "oh man he would be SO DASHING as a prince 😍" and just went from there

if you've been here from the start, you might know that i didn't originally plan make a series! i just word-vomited the first chapter (well, what became the first chapter) directly into tumblr's post editor because the thought of prince!yeonjun wouldn't leave me alone, especially after seeing a few other prince/commoner and prince/servant fics floating around lol. chapter 1 is also the only chapter made using tumblr's legacy editor rather than their new one (which is also why the cover pics are one big edited photo and not 3 separate photos, i couldn't figure out how to get 3 photos to line up in the legacy editor).

i honestly did not expect people to read chapter 1 but they did!! and they liked the idea!! plus even after writing chapter 1 i STILL couldn't get the idea out of my head so i decided to write it as a full story. i've written plenty of oneshots before under my (non-kpop) ao3 account, but this is my first multichapter series! so i opened google docs and made a quick outline of the story's main events.

the original outline for foec had 6 chapters + 2 endings, but as i wrote the story, i realized that more detail and scenes were needed than what i initially outlined! chapters 3 and 4 (ball preparations + the ball / gazebo dance scene) were supposed to be one chapter. chapters 5 and 6 (y/n hanging out with the chois + getting caught + punishment + intro of arranged marriage) were also supposed to be one chapter. chapters 7-9 (end of friendship, reconciling with soogyu, y/n & beomgyu talk) were also supposed to be one chapter!

i actually started writing the bad ending first before the good ending -- my reasoning was that if i were the reader, i would want to save the good ending for last so that i could end the series on a positive note. i was very surprised when people voted for the good ending first in the poll LMAO also as far as i'm concerned, both endings are canon in a "branching timeline" kind of way. they are both the real ending! i do have a soft spot for the good ending but also i love angst too much to not write a bad ending haha.

honestly most of the story beats from my original outline made it into the final fic! the biggest change has to do with queen hwayoung's and princess ajin's roles in the story (more on that below).

character notes:

when i was first brainstorming i really wanted to include both taehyun and hueningkai in the story as well, but i struggle with writing ensemble casts and choi line + y/n (+ the supporting characters in the castle) were already enough for me to handle. soobin and beomgyu were the easiest for me to incorporate into the story since they have the same last name and i could go "oh in this universe they're part of the same royal house hence the same last name" HAHA. i do imagine that the house of choi princes are also friends with tyunning (kai does get alluded to in chapter 9), but they're off doing their own adventures.

some of little moments in the fic were inspired by actual things txt have done in variety shows! yeonjun, y/n, soobin, and beomgyu playing cards in chapter 5 is based off to do ep. 53 where they also play cards. soogyu playing badminton in chapter 8 is inspired by gbgb era idol human theater where they played a little badminton by the pool. and there are a lot more small character quirks that are inspired by gifs or fancams i've seen of them haha.

queen hwayoung and princess ajin were originally not supposed to be part of the story! my original idea was the have the arranged marriage subplot be heard secondhand by through advisers so that it feels like an invisible force pulling yeonjun away from y/n. but i needed to make the threat of the arranged marriage stronger and ended up writing the scene with queen hwayoung in it for chapter 6.

princess ajin especially was a late addition -- originally she was never supposed to appear at all, never visiting the castle and only speaking through her mom / royal advisors, so there was that threat of yeonjun being married off to someone he's never even met. but after looking through the feedback of chapter 6 i realized that i kinda-sorta accidentally made setup for her oops. people were wondering what she'd be like, and it would feel too anticlimactic to never have her appear in the story, so i wrote her in. which i don't regret because i did enjoy writing her big scene in chapter 10!

speaking of which: a friend of mine asked what happens to princess ajin, and honestly i wanted to give her proper closure too! but i couldn't find a way to fit it into the story in a way that felt natural. if you ask me though, she gains some level of political independence from her mom (represented by her visiting the castle in the good ending). she still marries for political reasons, to a prince or nobleman who is also in it for the politics, and at first they treat their marriage as a business partnership. eventually they grow close and form a devoted "i'd do anything for you" bond -- not necessarily romantic in nature, but caring in its own way. (i'm describing a queerplatonic relationship basically)

tbh i don't have the energy to write another multichapter right now, but i would love to see spinoff fics for soobin and beomgyu or even taehyun and kai as princes in their own kingdoms! so if you're reading this and you want to do it, you have my blessing <3

flower notes:

while some chapter titles were planned around a specific flower representing the events & progression of the story, others were not (because of the chapter splits i talked about earlier) and i just chose whatever flower was in it lol. the planned chapter title flowers are: yellow roses (ch2), pink roses (ch4), sunflowers (ch5), striped carnations (ch7) , purple hyacinths (ch9), red roses (ch10), daffodils (GE), and white lilies (BE). the unplanned title flowers are: irises (ch1), lilies of the valley (ch3), red and purple zinnias (ch6), sweet peas (ch8).

i mostly used this website as a reference for the language of flowers, BUT i also double check with one or two other websites to make sure i'm getting an established flower meaning and not something made up! when i started fic planning i made a list of flowers with meanings that fit the main story beats and character progressions, then picked the ones with the most established meanings (i.e. supported by multiple "language of flowers" websites) and/or the ones that were appropriate for the growing season.

even though i wrote a disclaimer not to pay attention to botanical accuracy re: seasonal flowering times, i originally envisioned the fic to take place over the spring. then when it got longer, i imagined it taking place over spring and summer, so i tried (keyword: tried) to choose seasonally appropriate flowers or flowers that bloom year-round. this is hard for me because i live in a tropical country. i have never seen a lot of these flowers in person because they don't grow in the climate here, and i have no idea what a four-season year feels like. so i decided not to put time-of-year markers in the fic and leave the season ambiguous, and added that disclaimer about the flowers' accuracy.

an example of this: chapter 9 is named after purple hyacinths. i first decided on this back when the story was only supposed to take place during the spring, since hyacinths are a spring flower. i considered naming it after hydrangeas because they mean something like "thank you for understanding" (i.e. y/n going "thank you for understanding what a hard position i'm in" to yeonjun), and also because they're one of my favorite flowers. but i wasn't sure about their seasonal appropriateness since some sources said that they bloom during early summer so i changed it to hyacinths. BUT THEN the fic got long and i started imagining that the later chapters take place in the summer SO the hyacinths ended up being seasonally inappropriate after all! and hydrangeas would have been more appropriate! especially since txt literally has a song called hydrangea love out aarghhh noooo but anyway it is what it is

other flowers that didn't make the cut + their meanings: sweet william (gallantry), alstroemeria (friendship or devotion), freesia (friendship, thoughtfulness), white tulips (forgiveness, consideration, respect), thyme (courage, strength)

other notes:

the key lime pie in chapter 6 is based on a real pie that i ate at my friend's house when i visited her there and i thought it was the most delicious thing i have ever eaten. in the original draft it was a lemon tart!

i wanted to keep this series strictly sfw, but i did consider making both the good and bad endings have suggestive, fade-to-black scenes. for the good ending, the suggestive part would have involved y/n in yeonjun's room the night after their speech / before waking up together. for the bad ending, it would have happened when yeonjun visits y/n's quarters. i didn't write them bc i... am not good with anything suggestive or nsfw klsadjfklasjd

I COMPLETELY FORGOT BUT Y/N'S FATHER WAS ALSO IN THE AUDIENCE FOR THEIR SPEECH IN THE GOOD ENDING... i have no excuse for not writing him in other than I Forgot. i am so sorry but please imagine he was there

YouTube 2022 Year in Review

Sorry for the wait on this one! This is what catching COVID after Christmas does to your schedule, I guess. This will be my first Year in Review post shared on Tumblr instead of Patreon! They're freely available to read either way, but this is a more suitable place to put it, probably. For those who don't know, in each of these posts I look back on the stuff I put out on YouTube throughout the past year, and perhaps share more interesting facts about them that I haven't before!

This year has been sort of a continuation of what happened in 2021. I graduated and got into a day job at the end of that year, so this year was mostly me adjusting to things, and as a result, output on the YouTube channel hasn't been as frequent as I'd hoped as I didn't have too much time to write/continue scripts.

However, I did explore other avenues for smaller-scale but still interesting topics, including the videos I put up on my rebranded second channel, Akfamilyhome Plus! I'll talk more about those videos later in the post. And of course, I started a Tumblr account, which you're currently reading from right now. In addition to that, I've been upgrading my computer setup as well, going from my 2017 MacBook Pro to a full-fledged PC for gaming and editing work! Migrating stuff over and adjusting my workflow for it wasn't super annoying, and thankfully the videos I made in the latter half of the year helped with that.

So anyway, stuff that I DID put out! Let's see what fun facts I can share along the way.

Every Unique Level Gimmick in New Super Mario Bros.

You could say this is the one "big" video I put out this year, and man I really wished I could've put out more of them! Regardless, what started as a small interesting discussion with a couple of mutuals about New Super Mario Bros. DS ended up as a pretty fun romp down memory lane and an excuse for me to babble about obscure Mario enemies! I was also very satisfied with the jokes in this one -- hopefully they weren't too bothersome for some of you lol

Of course, my list of what constitutes as unique level gimmicks isn't 100% accurate, some people have pointed out a few objects that actually did appear in later games like the tilting lava plaforms, but I think I still got most of them!

Some folks have asked if I'll do similar videos on later games of the NSMB series. Like other potential sequels to my videos, it's something I can consider, but considering they most likely have less unique gimmicks compared to the DS entry I'm not in the biggest rush to do so. There are still other overlooked aspects of the later games I could potentially talk about though, like the Coin Rush packs in NSMB2.

"10-in-1" Nintendo Switch Sports Accessories

Most of the videos released this year were kinda spontaneous ideas rather than the topics that were stuck in burnout limbo, including this video on plastic Switch Sports accessories that a Twitter poll convinced me to make! Yes, it is a simple review of plastic accessories at the end of the day, but some of them actually did surprise me a little and I thought the video struck a nice balance between constructive demonstration and dunk-fest.

For those asking about further testing...this accessory kit has since found a new home. Would rather have a family actually have a reason for using this than it taking up space at my place!

Since I found this accessory pack, there are other similar ones that have started popping up in stores here as well, including ones that contain golf clubs as well! ...I'm not sure if I want to make reviewing these a regular thing though.

Regarding my tangent during the Volleyball segment about using Joy-Con strapped to your arms and legs as VR trackers...there's already a tool that tries to pull that off called SlimeVR Wrangler! I have not tried it myself yet, but for those who have spare Joy-Con lying around this could be something to look into.

I bought the arcade version of Rhythm Tengoku

...that title kinda says it all! This all happened from me stumbling across an auction for the arcade game cartridge itself and biting the bullet, and documenting the whole process of getting it to work has been both frustrating AND fun (and perhaps even useful for other arcade noobs like me lol). I still have the cab where it is and it does still work when it wants to! Someday I might be able to hook up larger arcade-style controls to it or even build a standalone station or cab for it...but there is absolutely zero room at my place for a setup like this right now, so that will have to be in the very far future!

A month after this video was posted, a listing popped up on Yahoo Japan Auctions for the original control panel itself! ...at that point I didn't have more money to burn for both that and the necessary adapters and wiring to get it to work though, so hopefully it went to a good home.

Slightly unrelated, but it was a while since I posted an unscripted video on the main channel, and I thought I did a pretty good job in this one without stuttering or repeating too much! If you liked that and want to see more, I have more unscripted content over on Akfamilyhome Plus which I'll also touch on later!

The Famicom Disk System Cleaning Extravaganza

This is a case where I really just wanted to indulge in talking about the obscure of the obscure. I'm sure just generally talking about the Famicom Disk System and the stuff I've collected for it would make for a great video, but there actually hasn't been a YouTube video about these cleaning kits that aren't in Japanese! I also kinda liked the bootleg disk tangent, and hope that gave you an interesting glimpse at the early gaming scene in Hong Kong.

Like I said in the video, the cleaning spray counted as flammable material, so I wasn't able to ship it from Japan to Hong Kong. I'd like to thank PushDustIn for taking care of it in the meantime and also cameoing in the video! If anyone has further (legal) ideas on how to get that spray from Japan to Hong Kong, please let me know.

For those who were interested in the footage of early Hong Kong gaming stores shown in the video, I'd like to share its source! It's from a 1990 Japanese documentary featuring a local media personality investigating the booming Hong Kong video game market (and bootlegging scene). The clean rip I'm sharing below unfortunately doesn't have any subtitles (and the only reupload with subs I've seen was in Chinese), but it still shows some pretty fascinating accessories and scenes of a time period that even I was never around for!

Every Game I've Beaten in 2022

And here's my latest video, from...a few days ago as of this post! It's a quick review of every single game I've beaten during 2022, at nearly a game per minute! I would've loved to have it out earlier at the end of 2022, but then y'know, Christmas COVID happened.

As I said near the end of the video, I wanted it to be less of a simple "Top 10 Games of 2022" video and instead let me share a wild grab bag of games from different generations that might pique others' interest, and reading some of the comments, it seems that it accomplished exactly that! Thank you to those who watched it all the way.

I'm definitely down to do a similar video at the end of 2023 as well, but it hopefully will be shorter. I might write down each of these review sections as I finish each game as well, rather than doing it as one big batch near the end of the year. Actually, 2 games are already on the list so far. How many will it end up with? We'll see!

I'd like to revamp my Patreon presentation later this year as well and continue to make cool stuff for it as thanks! The dream of being able to do YouTube work full time continues.

How many published fics have you written?

I currently have 22 up on AO3! And a smattering of random Tumblr exclusive short fics.

In terms of wordcount, in which fandom have you written the most?

The Arcana, by far. My total word count for the fandom (excluding headcanons and Tumblr-exclusive fics) is 153,453 words.

At the moment, which one of your fics is your favorite/you are the most proud of? (you can include unpublished fics)

I am definitely most proud of End Up Here. It's my longest work yet and has been an incredible journey so far. It's helped me prove to myself that I a) can write something novel length and b) can stick with one project and be dedicated to it. I feel like it's my love letter to the Arcana, as a piece of media that has helped me find my voice.

Which writer (fanfiction or not) inspires your own work?

J.R.R. Tolkien and Kazuo Ishiguro (mostly in my non-fanfiction writing, but I'm sure they've inevitably inspired elements of my fanfic writing in some way or another, too).

What was your first fanfic about?

Oh gosh. If we are talking very first fanfic that has never seen the light of day, then Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Star Trek: Voyager (back when I was like 11 or 12 haha). But if we are talking published ones, then it was a spicy Xander x Reader for Fire Emblem: Fates.

Out of all the characters whose POV you have written, which one do you feel you identify the most with?

Great question. Probably Julian Devorak. But I don't necessarily feel that I fully identify with any of them. Just elements of each character I write about, in one way or another. But Julian's tendency towards feeling guilty for things he didn't do and his journey to accept his own strength are things that resonate with me.

What do you feel is your biggest challenge when writing?

Overcoming the idea of perfectionism. I have the tendency to get frustrated and scrap everything when I feel like it's not up to the standard I want it to be. But I'm trying to remind myself that a first draft is a first draft for a reason: it does not have to be perfect. End Up Here has really helped me in learning that lesson, since I write each chapter as I go. There's only one round of me editing each chapter before I publish it, so it's been a huge learning curve for me. And freeing as well.

Do you generally outline your fics or do you prefer to write spontaneously and then revise?

I do a skeleton of an outline and scribble unintelligible notes on scraps of paper or in my notes app on my phone. But a lot of my writing now is just me going with the flow and letting the characters tell me the story. I used to plan a lot, but it became sort of toxic for me and my tendency towards perfectionism, so I stopped being so precise about it. I let things change as they need to.

Which one of your fanfics has the most hits? the most comments? the most kudos? (if applicable)

Intimate has the most by far on AO3! And Upon a Forest Throne has the most on Tumblr. Thank you to everyone for the support and all your many kindnesses 💜

86% of my fics are rated M or above. I mostly write adult content.

From one Jewish person and HP fan to another: What do you think of the Hogwarts Legacy controversy when it comes to the anti semitic accusations? For me, I have to bite my tongue and roll my eyes at the goblins issue because imo, goblins and antisemitism have been embedded within each other for literal centuries. I highly doubt that Rowling even thought about that when she was writing the books.

But there are other things that give me pause. Things like the symbol on the floor of Gringotts in the movies looking like the Star of David and the unsettling implications of the main plot of the video game do leave me doing a double take. Those are design choices from Warner Brothers and writing choices from the devs at Legacy Games, and I feel the latter in particular should be investigated.

At the same time, the whole thing makes me want to fold inside myself with agony because the this game is just truly wonderful eye candy for writers and roleplayers. I don't have the money to buy the game since I don't have the money for a PS5, but will I watch someone stream it so I can ogle the landscape? Probably.

What are your thoughts on the matter? If you've spoken about it and I haven't seen it, feel free to point me to where you have. If you don't feel comfortable talking about it, that's also ok.

P.S. If you haven't posted your AU with Sirius's son yet, I look forward to when you do :). It's rare for me to find Sirius's offspring AUs that don't have me rolling my eyes from cliches and bad writing, and what you've shown via tumblr so far is lovely.

I think the accusations are a bit... reaching. And, to be honest, I don't really see the accusations. Goblins have been a thing for centuries, long before Jews, and the goblins of folklore didn't really have an anti-Jewish bent until the days of racial antisemitism in the 19th century. Where European antisemites looked at goblins, twisted them to fit their own hatreds, and painted us as nasty little creatures as a way to dehumanize us. Goblins have been rooted in Scandinavian and Celtic folklore for centuries — magical beings not dissimilar from the Aos Si/Knockers. Depictions range from post-Christian type like Tolkien had, to sort of hobgoblin/brownies "helpful creatures" types.

But the goblins in HP look to be inspired by Germanic/Scandinavian goblins with an interest in mining, crafting, treasure. And JKR likely looked at how Tolkien wrote the dwarves (interest in mining, warriors, make really cool magical weapons) and imbued her goblins with that.

The star that you're talking about was in Australia House, and it was supposed to be a star representing the States of Australia. Is it unfortunate? Sure. But it's not a gotcha moment. It's an unfortunate coincidence.

If people want to condemn antisemitism, there's a fuckton of antisemitism to fight. Antisemitism on the right, on the left, not if some fucking goblin is secretly Jewish coded. Like how, only a few years ago, people rode in cars and trucks through the middle of a Jewish neighborhood in London shouting "fuck the Jews, rape their daughters!". Only last week, a man was arrested for shooting two Jewish men in Los Angeles (he has since be charged with federal hate crimes charges). The "Goyim Defense League" spread neo-Nazi propaganda across several states. Kanye inspired at least 30 antisemitic acts since October.

I want to play Hogwarts Legacy. I do. The only reason I'm not is because I don't have a system on which to play it (my current laptop is a MacBook Air and that's woefully unsuited to gaming). So I feel your pain, anon. I'm trying to save up to buy a good prebuilt gaming PC (or I might just try and build my own).

I want to get maybe a dozen or so chapters written and edited so all I have to do is just post it — plus my beta reader is busy with real life so I don't have anyone to review it. With my other two (now deleted) fanfics, I would publish a chapter and then spend time writing the next chapter in between a full-time job. That was just... putting me in a stressful situation so this time, I just want to have the chapter ready — just plop it into AO3, make whatever last minute edits, and then post.

Update concerning my art and Tumblr blog

I'm getting sick and tired of the fact DA is blurring/hiding some of my artwork, because of some ridiculous reason. (Reference to these posts.) It seems they've taken yet another new step by providing this text: "May contain sensitive content. Log in to view." So, if you're a non-DA member, you'll see some of my artworks sporting that text.

What's more, it seems by slamming that text instead of 'mature' or 'unavailable' has now resolved the "issue" as DA has in their help & faqs section 'Known Issues'. For a long time this issue was listed there, but not anymore. So, the issue has been solved. Not really. Some of my artworks are still hidden and I can't figure out why.

What's more, when I looked at why some artworks may be hidden, there was basically a section that if external audiences deem those artworks "don’t align with their interests" those will get hidden.

Excuse me, what? While I can understand real adult themes should be hidden/tagged correctly and somewhat negative emotions (even in that explanation I don't understand why "sadness or other topics associated with negative emotions" can't be shown. Like hello? Those are part of life?) That basically means if the external audiences decide they don't like, say fanart, boom, it gets hidden. Or if they decide 'bunnies don't align with my interest' boom, it gets hidden. I feel like DA is slowly spiraling into children's sites as in 4kids style. Where most ridiculous things get edited (in this case hidden) because someone decided 'nu-huh, I don't like this!'

Well, I'm still trying, despite the fact I'm starting to feel like giving up on DA. I've contacted the staff about this issue and I hope they'll answer to me what's so 'bad' in some of my artworks that those get hidden. Depending on their answer (or the lack of it, since I wouldn't be surprised if they won't answer me or they just tell me 'it's what it's) I might change my main art site.

I've already taken steps on my Tumblr blog to change it more into a personal one. Unfortunately, that means I won't anymore reblog as much as I've before as let's face it: when a person comes to my blog and sees 20-plus posts that are just reblogged, they'll think my blog is just a reblog blog. They won't notice my art. They won't notice my writings. They won't notice any original content I'll make unless it falls into the popular/niche tag.

I know this might sound harsh and some of my followers might be disappointed, but I originally made this blog to interact with people on Tumblr (which, I don't sadly do anymore so often as some people have left Tumblr or things have otherwise changed), post my writings and at times art. But things have changed. I want to show my art without ridiculous restrictions because of someone else.

If I want to post an anime/manga character on the beach with a bikini, I want to. I don't want someone to hide it and make it sound scandalous when it isn't. I want to post pretty drawings of pretty anime/manga characters without someone deciding to hide those because I didn't happen to draw full bodies that would show they're fully dressed up. And there is so much more. I tag very meticulous manner my posts on Tumblr and any other site to ensure people can block those tags if they don't want to see such content. I've played by the rules, but when those rules start to get too ridiculous and like I'm being punished for no reason, I don't see why I should stay on such a site or anymore play by those rules.

Hence, if DA's reply to my inquiry will be a negative one, I think I'll start to be more selective about what to post on that site. I'll still post there, but if it gets hidden the next day, I'll probably just delete the artwork on whisk it on Tumblr and Pixiv and later on to Insta.

I've started to build my Insta as my main art site, but it'll take time.

This is truly a pity because the way DA has been built is different from any other sites that I'm using at the moment. I just hope those who follow me on different sites will accept these changed and maybe still follow me. But if they won't follow me, that's their right and decision that I'll honor.

-> heisei generations forever (officially non-canon to the main timelines of both build and zi-o, though still a good enough homage to build's main story with a decent amount of ryusen) -> build new world: kr cross-z -> i heard the idol otaku is dating his fav special (basically just kazumi/misora nonsense from what i've heard, unfortunately) -> build new world: kr grease (i saw that you weren't keen on both new world movies as most build fans i know also weren't esp. bc of the het shenanigans (+ the weird evolt stuff that i've heard kinda feels like it's invalidating we already saw/learned in the main show, and it feels more like they just brought him back because they were milking his sheer popularity as a kr villain) that are apparently pretty typical of v-cine movies when compared to heavier gay coding in the main shows, sadly, so you can also take a page out of those other fans' book and not consider the nw movies canon or only cherrypicking the elements you like, but wrt the banjou stuff in cross-z specifically, i don't think him and yui are meant to be an unambiguously canon couple the way kazumi/misora and gentoku/sawa became in grease, as you can see a clear difference in how romantic both latter couples acted (even if i don't like both lmao, though i tolerate gentoku/sawa more than i do kazumi/misora simply bc i think g/s has funnier scenes than k/m, even with gentoku's unnecessary sexual proposition towards sawa in ep. 1 back when he was evil) vs. b/y, and also just the way banjou treated kasumi, his only 100% clearly canon girlfriend, vs. how he treated yui up to the end of the movie, and the girlfriend/date/best match comments in the movies seem to feel more like just jokes/trolling in hindsight (esp. since the b/y "date" at the end was literally just them selling stuff *sento* made, like something something sento is always somehow involved with banjou and his girlfriends, or 'girlfriend' in yui's case, so... lol. anyway), and also banjou appears to blatantly check out a shirtless killbas before they find out about him being the villain so ig the bi-coding was technically still going strong, plus the fact that yui just straight up disappears in grease which is supposed to be a direct sequel to cross-z and just isn't mentioned in any way (on which i have some bts info to spill btw, more on that in my next message) while sento and banjou continue to act like partners as usual, and in fact get paired up in a way that sets them alongside the pairing up of k/m and g/s in the same movie - so tl;dr: aside from the fact that we can just straight up ignore those movies, i don't think we have to worry about the yui stuff as a genuine invalidation of ryusen's romantic subtext-that's-practically-text, though it's still unfortunate they tried to pull this shit in the first place even if ultimately very half-assed and halfhearted, and you just kinda have to laugh at the audacity of doing all that *after* banjou made his little speech about sento being his hero, like you said)

-> kr jeanne and kr aguilera with girls remix (a revice spin-off included here on a technicality bc of sawa's presence, along with female characters from a few other kr seasons both in the heisei and reiwa eras alongside the titular female riders who i think i've told you before are the first major example of a lesbian-coded pairing in kr, though iirc they sadly also get hit with some plausible-deniability "they're like family/sisters" comments here though not really in the main show) -> kr outsiders (basically fanservice cash-grab slop from what i've been told that essentially is a suicide squad-esque project where various villains/evil riders from different seasons are assembled to battle a bigger bad guy, and evolt and misora are there in like a couple of episodes so 😔) [4/?]

as for the stuff ive watched, i finished the main eps first and then went for basically everything i could find that i knew had the build charas/story involved, so the only stuff from everything u mentioned that im missing are the 4 eps from zi-o, the revice spinoff, outsiders and the stageshows. i was thinking of leaving the crossover movies for later at first but then i also didnt wanna wait for if/when i watch ex-aid or zi-o so i just went for them (esp since u mentioned banjou chara development for one of them which i was Rlly curious about) and i enjoyed both, non-canon as they might be akfjdksf.. i think ill check out those zi-o eps but i probs wont watch the whole show (yet at least)

also the rogue spinoff like i went in already liking gentokus chara a Lot after seeing the whole story so i was biased but i think they showed his desperation and spiral into insanity (? if it makes sense) rlly well there, it was def a lot more brutal but somehow i ended up liking the fight scenes in there more than the main story ones maybe bc they didnt have much of the cgi? either way it was a good insight into gentokus past/chara (and a little bit of takumis too who i always like seeing) and now i can Genuinely put him in the 'poor little meow meow who killed people' box so yay :) my silly shirt man i care him :)

then theres the new world movies which.....sigh......... Yeah............ those sure were movies ......... the comphet honestly didnt even bother me that much bc im so used to ignoring when writers pull shit like that (tho the whole banjou/yui thing did give me a fic idea in a way that i started outlining afkjdksgj) but the way they just undid the entire logic of the new world with the point of it being that its entire existence is only possible w evolt and the pandora box no longer existing is just. You know how common fandom terminology would refer to the writers/creators/etc. of canon "God"? I ran with that interpretation, so the content creators are gods, the characters are regular people, and Chat would be angels because we play messenger between the creators and the characters. I know that part was a bit vague, so I thought I should explain somewhere.

I added this line in the author's note late because I forgot to when I posted it. It's such a post-canon p!Shep song in the sense that this was literally what he did: do a runner because he suspected the Nightingales would be after him for what he did, even though they had no reason to suspect it.

…right near the Ice Wall as it was still standing, though over the months as he's sailed the perimeter, he's seen parts of it gradually crumble and chip away, sinking into the depths to thrasher territory.

I've always had the headcanon that the Ice Wall is gonna take a long while to fall for good: I'd estimate around 6 months, because if the canon era ends in December, then the Wall being gone for good around the summer solstice in June is a symbolic time of year.

It's for plot convenience for what I want to happen after the Isles, come to think of it, because I think there's still some unfinished business on the Isles to deal with before everyone can go exploring.

Another aspect I like thinking about is how I want the transition between "there is an Ice Wall" and "there is no more Ice Wall" to be gradual and not an immediate disappearance. That would be hell for the ecosystem, and as a Biology student, I can't not keep that in mind.

(The lack of Ontological Inertia is canon anyway. Also, Ivy's sense of time could be warped since she's lived for over a thousand years, 6 months should be "soon" by those standards.)

By summer, it would probably be all gone, and he'd be gone as well, in the farthest reaches of the world where no one would know who he was and what he did, only that he came from afar to seek his fortune. He wouldn't be questioned about where he came from, unless they wanted to know what lay on his side of the Ice Wall, or what he did to get there. And that was how he would prefer it.

They had been hiding out on an island to the south, sleeping in the barn of a man with far too many cows, when they saw a ship flying Kestrel flags from the Isles pass by, captained by a person they didn't know.

If I recall correctly, I wrote that island to be based on one of the farm islands Martyn and Sausage found in the South. Also, I know that the faction system ceased to be post-canon (confirmed at the creators' TwitchCon panel), but (1) I wrote this before the panel, (2) it's good for characterization in regard to p!Shep's self-preservation, and (3) again, it's only been six months post-canon, so I figured it would take them longer than six months to properly get rid of the system.

Plus, he had sworn he saw red skies that morning and it isn't exactly pleasant to sail in the rain.

I never explicitly stated it in the fic, but we (the skies, i.e. p!Will's chat) can manipulate the weather and I am exclusively using this ability to torment p!Shep. Oh, I'm not gonna try to kill him, I don't want him dead. I am going to annoy him every step of the way, though.

Gracing the countertop of the inn room he was staying in was an unprecedented number of gulls, white and gray feathers somehow unruffled even with the strong gale outside, completely devouring the remains of his leftovers.

If Chat are seagulls, then they shall be hungry. They shall always be hungry. It is but the seagull way.

Oddly, some of the gulls had golden cuffs around one of their ankles — if birds could even have ankles…

I wrote about Chat-gulls having golden cuffs in The Morning Falls Nonetheless, so I get to keep the headcanon going across different works! Yay!

Two evenings later, the innkeeper knocked on Shep's door and told him to get his stuff, get out, and never come back, since the townsfolk apparently decided that he was a bad omen for the freak storm that wreaked havoc on half the island […] because the storm came just a couple of days after he sailed into the port. That was the stupidest thing he had ever heard and he told them as much, but the innkeeper threatened to call law enforcement on him if he didn't leave, and he wasn't about to get arrested for that.

Yes, the freak storm was actually created by Sky-chat. I must admit, in hindsight, it makes us seem not that morally upright if we were willing to cause property damage to innocents to torment some guy. I really didn't think this one through when I wrote it, or I guess, when I created the storm…

But again, Chat being amoral little shits seems right to me. There's a reason I keep saying that Chat shouldn't be therapists, because even if we know exactly what mental health issues plague the characters in canon, the extent that we know plus the fact some of us are more than willing to torment the characters more for angst means we might not appear to want the best for them. Remember, the Watchers themselves were originally conceived as a representation of the viewers; we just channel that energy under a different name now since the original Watcher lore got co-opted for Life series/Hermitcraft fanon angst.

Also, I have to put it out there and say yes, I am still trying to keep the ecosystem in mind as I write it, even as my freak storm destroys the environment. It's meant to be a one-time incident, not the climate crisis. Freak weather events can happen every once in a while, and they do happen every once in a while, even without a climate crisis. The opportunity to reference "Can't Catch Me Now" as a song was just too good to not pass up.

Plus, as I said, we're not just messing with p!Shep by messing with the weather around them; that's only one of many ways we're messing with them. We have more tricks up our sleeves than that, so the occasional freak storm won't really cause that long-term of an impact, I think.

Also, p!Shep thinks that is stupid and implausible because they genuinely are like that in canon. They literally dismissed the Golden Beard curse even when they were inflicted with said curse. Even when the curse was pretty much giving them temporary disordered eating (which, especially in hindsight, is some pretty nasty horror/angst fuel to interpret in-universe). They probably would dismiss the idea that Chat is specifically tormenting them with all this nonsense (seagulls stealing their food, bad weather following them as they go, etc.), and probably wouldn't make the connection that it's over them committing third-degree murder in canon. After all, I don't think they know how everyone else's Chat manifests.

Shep could not wait for the Ice Walls to fall so he could get out of here as soon as he could.

Are we as Chat going to keep tormenting him after he sails beyond the Ice Wall? Eh, depends on whether we want to keep going. We can if we want to, but it would get repetitive, so who knows? Some of us might keep going, some of us might not.

Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic: UPDATE

Hey, Guys, Gals, Demons, Ghouls and Multi-Fandom Fiends! I'm back but with an update instead of a theory! So, I've been meaning to post this for some time but every time I sat down, to write. Something keeps coming up or I just couldn't find the "Right Words" to write so I'm just going to Write!

I know many of you have been waiting to about Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic, and it's been almost a year since I've updated Secret Clinic. For those of you who have been patiently waiting, THANK YOU! I can't tell you how much I appreciate that! Which leads me to this. And before anyone starts to PANIC! NO, I'm not Discontinuing, Abandoning, Orphaning, or Deleting the story! I AM going to finish it!

BUT I want to address a few things first!

The Main Reason why I haven't updated at all is because I honestly haven't had the chance to! I'm back in school trying to get my degree and with things going on at work. Plus, a ton of IRL Stuff, has been popping up at the worst times! So I haven't had any time to actually sit down and write! Let alone sit down and draw any fanart!

I hit some Major Writer's Block! To the point that I actually tried NOT to write because I couldn't write anything or it was just absolute GARABE that I didn't even save in my Idea/Save For Later/Free Writing Folder. Which is another reason why it's been taking me so long!

I know all of you if not a majority of you already know what's been going on with the whole Willaim Gold (I refuse to call him by his Character/Stage Name!). And that's another major reason why it's been taking me a long ass while. YES! I know it's about the Characters NOT the Content Creators! I know that and fully believe that! Trust me! It's taken me many years to figure that out and still enjoy the Movies/Shows/Books that I love!

HOWEVER, I do have a Couple OC's that are based on a couple of Mutals of mine. I did reach out to them and they have politely and respectfully asked me to not have the Characters in the story. So, what I'm going to do is, I'm going to re-edit Tommy Innit's Secret Clinic.

Way too many Spelling/Grammer Mistakes that I'm too embarrassed and can't believe that I missed!

I'm going to re-write and change a couple of Characters.

I was just going to DM you, but apparently Tumblr didn't want me to do that (it keeps crashing whenever I open up the messages), so a ramble it is!

Have I ever mentioned that I hate my job? Because I really do. Working in the restaurant industry is hell, and that's it. Sure, most of the time I'm not doing anything, but when we get busy it is not any fun. Plus my leg is acting up for some reason today (I'm not sure what is going on with it, but this is the longest it has ever hurt for and I am low key concerned at this point), so that's always fun.

I only have 9 more prompts left to write for Whumptober, thanks to my obsession to have like 30 fics prewritten for when I get burnout, and I am so excited for October to arrive. I'll be posting a lot more, yet a lot less then, as I'll only be posting for Whumptober (plus DF once a week, a halloween fic, and a fic for a friend's b-day), though I'll have to get some things preedited and ready to be posted the day before as we have two weddings that we are catering for at my job, and those will take most, if not all, of the day, so there will be no time for me to be editing them to post for those days.

I knowwww- But you know what’s worst? Working a food stand cause it’s the same thing as a restaurant but people get even more impatient cause like “Oh? I have to wait just three minutes looker cause all the pre cooked meat is done and your hour cooking more? What the fuck is wrong with you!” So like that’s why I only do food stands once-twice cause good money but I can’t handle people or church people(the reason I do food stands)

Hi, friends. I've gotten a few likes and follows, which I truly do appreciate. I had wanted to respond to the comments, but my experience with Tumblr has mostly been as a lurker. I didn't realize that a secondary account (which this is) couldn't do social functions as itself. I'm really at a loss as to how to proceed.

In any case, I have seen your interest, and it really has helped. I started this account because I wanted a place just for this story. I thought that just by putting it out into the world, even where almost no one would find it, would re-motivate me to continue working on this fic. And I knew if I put it somewhere where a lot of people might find it, like AO3, I would feel super pressured and it would never happen haha.😅

It just so happened that shortly after deciding to do it this way, my Chromebook died. Fortunately, I had the files in shared online locations, so I edited and posted them from my phone. So feel free to point out any glaring issues in the formatting or grammar.

I'm currently on forced time off from work, as my office is closed for 2 weeks around the holidays. Knowing I was going to have so much time on my hands, and no way to continue writing if I wanted to, I broke down and bought a new laptop on a payment plan. It arrived two days ago, and I'm learning so much about laptops that I probably should have known already. But I've been using either a really old desktop or my Chromebook for several years. And before that I had a really old netbook that I used for writing, because it really couldn't do much else lol.

But I came here to say that I have seen the likes, follows, and comments. I do appreciate them, and they are working. I am working on the fic right now. Because 2:30 a.m. is just prime time for creative vampires. I don't want to post it until it's complete, because I hate WIPs that never get finished. I'm going to date myself here, but I had a Twilight WIP that I never finished, and it has been haunting me for a decade. And I would truly hate for even one person to actually read and enjoy my story and only get half of it. Especially when I have the entire thing figured out in my head already.

There are some twists and turns and things I've never seen before that I'm really excited to share. I really like them and I hope you like them too.

I'm really trying to figure out how to motivate myself. It took me 5 plus years to finish my novel. Well, one year to write the first draft and for some reason think it was ready. Another 6 months or so of rejection. And then a few years on a shelf and then 2 years of intensive work again before I was actually happy with it as an adult. Even then, I got burnt out after the nth revision process. Never resubmitted it to agents or anything. And only a handful of people have read it. At least one of them is very angry because she doesn't think I'll ever write the sequels.

So thank you for being part of my exercise and dare to myself to actually complete something. Small amounts of low pressure motivation and poking are welcome.😅

Uhhh, hey haz, you prob don’t remember or know me, but I used to have my own spade queen oc with my own ask blog a while back. (I think you actually acknowledged em at some point) (Big dress with the spade mouth if that rings any bells)

I was too shy to interact with ppl all those years ago and I’ve since moved on from posting on tumblr (I don’t think I even have access to my accs), but I felt nostelgia and remembered your blog and came to it to check it out and wanted to say that I always saw you as an inspiration for art and stuff. I love your art and how you make stories with your characters for people to enjoy.

I also totally get how you would’ve felt encountering the queen in chapter 2 btw. As someone with my own headcanons and oc it did give me chills when I saw the official thing. I’d like to say that even though it feels like the character you built up is not as popular now that there’s a confirmed canon, people still love the character you made and your interpretations of em!

I think you could totally make your own thing with your own audience! I hesitate to use the term “AU”, but I as well as others would love to continue following along any stories you make.

(Actually, I sorta assume you already have something like this this in mind which if thats the case cool! or if not thats cool too!)

Regardless, I’m sending this message just to say I think you’re hecking epic, and that the stuff you make is good and has value to ppl.

Maybe you’ll keep queenie’s story ongoing or move onto other things, but I’ll be loving what you make regardless!

Oh…..thanking you, that does look familiar. (please don’t mind her, she’s not a very touchy person to most)

I do in fact have plans for an AU, since I can’t bring myself to ignore canon for the sake of something else I’ve already done that contradicts it, so hopefully it’s appealing to the fans of Chapter 2 as well as my veteran followers from Chapter 1 (whoever’s still here, anyways).

It’s not easy leaving behind what I started, but so far I’m enjoying the new things that I have yet to put out, and hopefully, others will too.
