I wish more people watched Person of Interest... I get why for some it'd be a difficult show to get into. it starts as a more contained, procedural-y thing than what it's slowly, purposefully setting itself up to become; you have to be willing to stick with it for the rewards, and you won't love everything they do and you'll have difficulty with several choices made and you'll turn everything around in your mind this and that way and this and that other angle... although I do love that about it xD

also: The Machine, Shaw, and Root are three of the most spectacular, outside-the-box female characters ever written and I'll always adore the show for it.

eu não consegui abrir o link but I JUST KNOW💋💫 que é o story dele mostrando uma feijoadinha (ou algo assim), e nossa eu penso em TANTAS coisas sobre isso. especialmente sobre um noivinho!pipe que é literalmente uma vibe de "tenho tudo sob controle", e não porque ele se esforça, mas sim porque ele naturalmente tem um q a mais pra cuidar/ser atencioso. é lógico que você como noiva dele não deixa a desejar, por exemplo foi você quem escolheu e decorou o apartamento que estão morando, literalmente, desde a cor até a compra dos móveis e decorações pela internet, além de ser organizada e ter um caderninho com as despesas anotadas.

o cuidado do otaño, em contrapartida, é cheio de charminho e cuidado. ele gosta de ser "o cozinheiro da casa", ama que você fique sentadinha no balcão enquanto ele prepara uma massa ou algo que você sequer consegue pronunciar e que ele aprendeu com a mãe dele (é cheio de chegar em ti só pra dar selinhos assim, acabou de refogar x coisa? um beijinho. pegou sal no armário? outro beijinho. abriu a geladeira pra pegar o molho? 😚), ama te pegar no colo igual uma garotinha quando é 1 da manhã e te dá sono - estavam maratonando bebê rena -, te levando pro quarto, ajeitando os travesseiros e te cobrindo, "já venho, princesa, vou lavar a louça e desligar a tv".

assim como eu disse em uma ask passada (não si lembrarei-me qual🤓), ele com crtz é do tipo que independente da ocasião (festinha, bar, almoço de família, praia) vai te abraçar por trás e perguntar bem discreto e baixinho se você tá bem, se tá gostando, se quer ir embora ou fazer outra coisa. além de que, qualquer coisinha que você precise ele JÁ preveu antes e tem na mão. "amor, lembrou de comprar o ab-", "uhum, coloquei no armariozinho do banheiro", "mas😔 eu nem disse o que era...", "linda, ontem você chorou assistindo batman porque ficou com dó de ele ter perdindo os pais criança", e você toda sem graça porque até em perceber suas mudanças de humor ele é bom.

e pra fechar com chave de ouro, ele é do tipo que fala do futuro. como noivinho!pipe, o pedido ele já fez, mas um dos passatempos que ele mais gosta é nos finais de semana que vocês compram alguma bebidinha e comes pra ficar de bobeira na sala do apê, imaginando em voz alta como vai ser a vidinha de casados, se vão ter dois bebês ou três, se vão ter cachorro ou gato, etc. cheio de fazer planos. e essas noites sempre terminam com você sentando lentinho pra ele - ainda conversando sobre as resoluções de futuro -, soprando que não vê a hora de poder chamar ele de maridinho e de ter a casa recheada com mini felipinhos correndo e brincando (e que vai se aproveitar bastante da situação pra chamar ele de "papai" também hihihi🤭🤤)

Going through Person of Interest fan clubs and comment sections and seeing the old posts of everyone thirsting over Jim Caviezel is so strange to see now, considering all the reports about him being a Very Weird Man.

Meanwhile Michael Emerson, Amy Acker, Kevin Chapman, and Sarah Shah (and the dogs) were off elsewhere on set being goddamn delights.

Additional: Thinking about those comic con interviews with Jim and Michael, where Michael is the one answering the questions and Jim mentions he’s ’never seen him talk so much’. But Michael is known for being a sweetheart and always happy to chat (maybe a natural introvert at most), so it’s like… no Jim, he was just avoiding talking to you on set and doesn’t want you rattling off Cavortex conspiracy theories to these poor tv journalists.

Hi okay so I rewatched the entirety of Person of Interest a couple weeks ago, which was fun cuz I got to revisit the characters I know and love and see their development knowing how they’re gonna change and grow as the seasons progress, and this time around I found myself paying attention to one character in particular:

Shaw.

After coming onto tumblr, I got to read a couple poi analyses, and the Shaw ones were always fun, so I got to see certain scenes in a new context! But, I also started seeing smth that I hadn’t seen anyone else talk about. And idk maybe I just haven’t stumbled across the right post, or maybe I’m reading into it too much, but…

She’s aromantic, right?

Like, that’s what we’re supposed to take away from her character, right??

She said it herself that she doesn’t ‘do romance’ and the only attraction she felt towards anybody really only seemed to be sexual; no lovey-dovey cutesy stuff.

And I know this could all be chalked up to her being a sociopath, but then there was her conversation with the Machine in ‘return 0’

“You always thought there was something wrong with you because you don't feel things the way other people do. But she always felt that was what made you beautiful. She wanted you to know that if you were a shape, you were a straight line. An arrow.”

THAT MEANS SOMETHING, RIGHT???

If nothing else, I’m headcanoning Sameen Shaw as aroallo.

GOD ok I have to ramble

My dad and sis started watching Person of Interest about a month ago, and I wasn't there for the first but, and sometimes I'm not there to watch with them, but GOD. THERE'S THE QUEEREST VIBES?? BETWEEN THE 5 MAIN CHARACTERS (3 DUDES, 2 WOMEN), THE WOMEN KISS AND 2 OF THE DUDES GO UNDERCOVER AS A COUPLE MULTIPLE TIMES.

A BYSTANDER MAKES A COMMENT TO HAROLD ABOUT HOW GOOD-LOOKING JOHN IS, AND HAROLD JUST?? DOES A LIL EYEBROW ACTION?

anyway this is hilarious to me because of the actually super queer vibes and my ultra-religious homophobic family doesn't seem to have picked up on them EXCEPT to barf at Shaw and Root kissing.

But now Root is on the warpath to find Shaw because she *has* to be alive.

And my family's too invested in this series.

So (my parents especially) now they have to watch the rest of the show. Trying to convince themselves that Root on the warpath to Shaw is just gals being pals and it's HILARIOUS.

I think it would do us all good to remember of course that Shaw saw the photo of Root in the library, declared finding her her hobby, declared that next time she saw her she'd shoot her and "not in the knee" implying she meant something more lethal, and then shot Root in the shoulder instead

Build Jakapan Case Update + My Thoughts

It’s the middle of the night for me but I thought you all should know that it was announced that Poi and Build have settled in court. Both have published letters that agree and admit that Poi lied about everything and Build is innocent.

This likely isn’t the end as her admitting her falsehoods will have to be a condition of the settlement and there will likely still be a hearing to nail down the damages she has to pay. But her settling like this confirms what I suspected for a long time: she has no evidence. Everything she’s ever accused him of came from her own mind. I suspected that from the start when she came out so strong and said she was going to sue him, and then just… did not.

I have some concerns. I will admit I haven’t been neutral in quite a while because Poi gave me no reason to trust her and every reason not to with her inconsistencies and Pinterest-picture evidence. I like to believe victims but i also firmly follow “trust, but verify” as a mantra. And I couldn’t verify anything she said. I could, however, see the inconsistencies and the coincidental timings and the conveniently cropped screenshots she shared as “proof” of him being so awful.

I digress.

I am concerned that since a mere couple of days ago she was slandering him live on TikTok that she won’t stop now, even with the settlement. I’m equally concerned that a settlement won’t be enough to clear Build’s name in the eyes of his neutral fans. I had hoped he’d take the case all the way so that the evidence would come out. But then again, this is a deeply private matter so I don’t blame him for wanting to keep his evidence private.

I have absolutely no hope that this will change the minds of people who are determined to hate him. But I do have hope that people who went neutral will see this and appropriately change their minds about him and this matter.

I am a bit concerned about what a case like this means for “believe the victim!” Since Poi obviously exploited that exact mentality as she defamed him, knowing it would ruin him to even be accused of something like this regardless of if he did it. I don’t think it’s a bad thing for more people to take the “trust but verify” approach… however I’m concerned that cases like this will be pointed to when discrediting real victims and dismissing their cases as simple misunderstandings. Because at the core of it, it seems like this was a messy break up that went really, really wrong.

I have no real closing thoughts here other than:

1. This isn’t quite over though I don’t know if we’ll get exact settlement details in the future.

2. I’ll be watching carefully to see if she actually stops with her erratic, defaming behavior or not. I’m not entirely sure she’s capable of stopping, so I’m concerned he may end up having to sue again if she breaks the settlement.

3. I think people need to be a bit more critical about believing people blindly BUT should still default to believing the victim in most cases to avoid using bad examples like this to discredit real victims.

4. This will do nothing to change people who are determined to hate Build’s mentality and I don’t expect it to. It was never about abuse for them, only blind hatred.

5. It’ll be interesting to see how Build’s life and career progress after all of this, especially juxtaposed against all the other Thai BL actors who are having problematic behavior come to light lately…

I’ve been rewatching Person of Interest and I’ve finally reached that episode in season 3. I can’t believe they fucking kill her 😭😭😭😭😭 It’s been haunting my mind since halfway through season 2 and now I’m gonna have to see it all over again.
