TMNT Write Fight is a gift exchange event, inspired by @artfight and @phicphight. 

Unlike other gift exchanges, you will not be assigned a specific person to exchange with, instead you will be assigned a clan. You earn points for your clan by writing fics based off of other people’s prompts. You can attack by writing for a prompt from the other clan (1 point per 10 words) or ‘spar’ by writing for a prompt from your own clan (1 point per 20 words). MHA 3.3 - Kota - part 1/3

This is a watch-a-long blog, so no spoilers past this episode please!

Didn't he already do that last season? Did I imagine that? I love that his training is creating the perfect bath temperature.

Apparently Midoriya's training is getting beaten up by a furry. I wonder what he is going to tell his Mom when she asked him what he got up to at summer camp? "Well...there were these park rangers dressed as cats".

What would class 1A do without Iida keeping it together 24/7? Everyone is dead on their feet, but Iida is like "Look alive people, we're about to make the greatest curry of all time".

HIS TINY SMILE. This was a small detail, but it was so moving. Just lighting a fire for cookin and making his classmates smile made him happy. In seasons 1&2 he was so shut off socially.

He is finding out that the part of his quirk that he rejected and hated for so long can help people, and that he can use it in a positive way.

Momo's power comes from food! She can make weapons from her body by eating cake, what a dream.

"It's like poo". Sero, noooooo! Why did he have to make it gross? lol

What Kota says in this episode got me spiraling into essay territory. Kota's point of view has helped a lot of MHA's themes click into place for me, but these thoughts have been brewing for me since season 1.

Categorizing people and placing labels on them can lead to dehumanization. The 'villain' label makes people who commit crimes less than human, and the 'hero' label elevates people into being more than human. Either way, dehumanizing people has consequences, and in Kota's perspective, it got his parents killed.

Someone labeled as a 'villain' can think, well I'm already called a villain, I might as well act that way. Someone labelled as a 'hero' is pressured to live up to being put on a pedestal, and that can lead to failure, or hypocrisy (like Endeavor's outside hero image conflicting with behind closed doors abuse).

The villains versus heroes narrative feeds a cycle where they are in perpetual competition with each other to negative results for the community. As if crime and justice are the same as competing sports teams, like red team vs blue team. This leads to what Kota says, "they're all showing off", and end up "killing each other".

I have had jobs where I worked with kids, and I saw social labeling play out. Some kids got labeled as 'trouble makers'. The kids saw that they got attention for challenging behavior, and it got worse. I have heard a kid state "I'm a bad kid" outright, and they internalized that as part of their identity. It is hard to undo the damage.

It reminds me of Shinso from last season, as an example of a teen being labeled a villain by his peers. He fought hard to reject being put in that category, but many real life teens don't escape the labeling.

There are also kids that get singled out as 'golden children'. These kids feel pressured to be perfect, and can struggle with their flawed human identity not matching their 'golden' reputation.

Bakugo is an example of an over-praised kid that develops a superiority complex. He is insecure about not being the best, because he was categorized as 'the best' at age five. I think 'troublemaker' versus 'golden child' is a small scale version of the 'villain' versus 'hero' in MHA.

These categories lead us to making blanket assumptions about individuals who fit the right image. All might is the symbol of peace, so he must be perfect, right? But the show reveals that All Might, while he is a good man, is a flawed human being. We see him struggling to upkeep the shiny symbol he has created, at the cost of his health and social life.

I wonder if MHA is going to explore a villain that could have been a good citizen, but got trapped by how society has cornered them into a 'villain' labeled box? I think this might be the major theme of the entire story. I've cracked it, I can stop here, I don't even need to watch anymore episodes, bye! ;p

"My friend", ok Deku, you're not fooling anyone.

The starry night backgrounds in this scene are beautiful!

This montage of Midoriya trying to force a quirk to happen almost killed me.

It takes me back to the 1st episode where Deku's opening line is "we are not all created equal", and the episode shows us both him and Bakugo being put into opposite social boxes based on their quirks.

Deku was labeled bad/useless because he was quirkless, and this flashback underlines how much it hurt him, but he was saved by how strongly he held to his ideals of heroism. That is the positive flip side of the 'hero' label. It gave Deku something to look up to and live for.

Kota isn't ready to accept that rejecting the realities of hero society is going to be more painful in the long run. He is too little, and trying to process so much grief, it breaks my heart.

What also breaks my heart, is that Deku is speaking from experience. He has lived quirkless in a hero society, and rejecting the reality of his quirkless-ness back then caused him a lot of hurt too.

This is such a great exchange. MHA doesn't do a lot of quieter character building moments, but this talk between Kota and Deku was so good.

He is very particular with which ones to use and not really interested in “store-bought” variants. Elven knowledge is quite helpful regarding making his own aphrodisiacs for the two of you; he prefers to only use them on special occasions. Since the topic is delicate for many Humans, Aragorn prefers to keep them a secret between you two – after all, this is about intimacy ♡

Since there is a sort of taboo around aphrodisiacs in Gondor, Boromir is quite excited to learn more about them when you suggest them for your sex life. He is so curious and eager about them that he ends up wondering why someone wouldn’t use them to give a special spice and magic to their trysts – especially considering the immense variety of flavours and scents. That said, Boromir always has your comfort as his top priority, so he would not pressure you into anything you wouldn’t want to do. To you, he’s nothing but a gentleman!

Reaction: strong, to the point of exhaustion once the effects wear off

Hobbits value aphrodisiacs as much as smoking, drinking, dancing, and other hedonistic aspects of their culture, and Frodo is no different – though maybe a bit more distinguished than other Hobbits. He has a small collection of fancy little phials and is open to using them should you desire so anytime. All of them have pleasant scents and tastes, like strawberries or jasmine. Frodo in general is very normal about sexual experimentation and always communicates clearly so that the two of you are sure to have a good time ♡

Reaction: mild to normal

While other Wizards might think of aphrodisiacs as a poor use of magic for mere “petty-minded fooling around” (I am looking at Saruman), I think Gandalf’s playful nature and his contact to Hobbit culture would make him want to indulge in the occasional aphrodisiac from time to time, be it in the form of herbs, potions, spells, or items. On top of that, he would use magic to create certain illusions or sensations to make you feel good. He doesn’t have limitless curiosity though, and he would not speak about this to anyone but you.

Reaction: none to mild, depending on the sort

For years, Gimli has been convinced that he has no need or want for aphrodisiacs in his love life. So perhaps, when you first suggest using them for the two of you, he would not really know what to say. However, I figure he would be open to trying them out when you ask him, too. Not only that: Dwarves have brilliant ingenuity and dexterity, so maybe Gimli would come up with a new aphrodisiac entirely catering to your personal needs and/or kinks, perhaps even in the form of a magic-induced gem.

Reaction: mostly prolonged stamina, normal

Not only do I headcanon the Elves as entirely open to sexual experimentation with toys and kinks – they even take a certain pride in it. They are at the forefront when it comes to aphrodisiacs, and Legolas is no different. He has a few staples in his collection that have become his personal trustful companions over the years, like magic-induced flowers and candles, and is eager to try out whatever you bring into your bedroom as well. He would answer any questions of yours regarding the aphrodisiacs in his “Lembas voice”: proud of the Elvish traditions but still casual.

Reaction: very strong, since he is already so passionate

While Merry doesn’t keep any aphrodisiacs for himself, he has no inhibitions to trying something out when you suggest it. I like the idea that they could help him let himself fall and really enjoy sex, since Merry tends to be controlled by his head instead of his emotions, or even aspires to be more of a “thinking type”. Aphrodisiacs could provide him with the opportunity of rawness and freedom in a way he hasn’t known before – and I think he would enjoy that very much ♡

Reaction: strong and freeing

Growing up in Hobbit culture, Pippin is used to aphrodisiacs – or at least talking about them. He has at least once fallen prey to swindlers who convinced him of spending lots of money on some much-praised herb, only to find out later it doesn’t do anything (other than smelling nice). Pippin would also experiment a lot with what works for the two of you and what doesn’t, and always voice clearly if something wasn’t for him. Perhaps he would brag about his newest discovery with other Hobbits – if only to get another tip in return.

Reaction: physically little, but boosted mentally

I don’t think Sam would enjoy aphrodisiacs very much – for a couple of personal reasons, ranging from “It’s just that I’ve yet to find one that doesn’t taste like stale biscuits” to “It wouldn’t feel right, y’know?”. Sam is a big romantic and proud to always provide you with the right mood by preparing candles, nice pillows, maybe a fireplace on cold nights, or even starlit trysts in a sunflower field, to name a few examples. I think he would nip at your favourite potion just to have tried it once but still be fine with you calling him old-fashioned. After all, this is about having a good time!

I’m including Haldir in this one because I have a random headcanon of him being comically scared of aphrodisiacs haha! After all, they might expose his buried feelings that he works so hard to hide, almost like a truth serum. I also imagine he would expect such a potion/flower/herb to taste nasty, smell funny, and just all around not be for him. But as written above, I imagine the Elves to be very open to sexual experimentation, so dear Haldir would be a “prude” in their eyes. Hello!

I wanted to ask what sources you have about S3 of WOY from outside Tumblr. I've combed through @/ownerofwendys and @/suspensionofdisbelief, as well as Craig McCracken's blog a little bit, and watched a recent interview from him.

This is research for my fan project that takes place during a hypothetical early S3. It's in the ballpark of 40% complete.

I'm not sure when I can announce it-- or guarantee I'll finish it at all, of course-- but this would be a great help! I want to ensure I'm not missing links to info on social media platforms I don't have, if it exists.

Regarding Star Force Enforcement Force, I uncovered the following details…

Back in January of 2021, just before S1 of Kid Cosmic debuted on Netflix, I checked out a CBR article of Craig McCracken answering questions regarding Kid Cosmic. Here, when he talked about Earth Force Enforcement Force (or as I call them, Power Rangers knock-offs), he had this to say:

“There was a version of it in some Wander episodes we were thinking of doing for a potential Season 3... ‘Star Force Enforcement Force...’”

The takeaway I got from his answer is that SFEF inspired the name EFEF. Later, I found these clues from his Tweets…

“In WOY S3 we had a team of space cops called Star Force Enforcement Force whose name I repurposed for Earth Force Enforcement Force.”

“…they were going to be called Star Force Enforcement Force and were an entirely different set of characters all together. Only the name was similar.”

“S3 was less about a new villain and more about an old ‘villain.’”

When asked if SFEF were going to play a big part in WOY S3, he replied, “Yes.”

And that’s just some of the info I picked up from outside Tumblr. If you’re looking for any other info, @fanfic-inator795 has an unofficial WOY guide somewhere in the archives. That’s where I discovered the plans for Sourdough (Evil Sandwich) having his own episode.

C/W: assassination attempt, murder, mention of crimes, bank robbing, selling weapons, corruption, etc. Also very dubious morality here. Suggestive at the end.

"Ugh... Another sleepless night." Klein sighed. The Overlord was lying on the bed of his room inside Gehenna's royal palace, but he couldn't sleep at all. Maybe his conscience was biting him or his alertness against assassination attempt, Klein had been lying on bed for who knows how long but still couldn't rest.

"Maybe I should go for a walk." Klein mumbled to himself and got up. Normally, he wouldn't dare to go for a walk while he's staying in Gehenna as Satan doesn't like to stay in a safe place like the palace, but today was different, Satan had to go back to the palace for some business, and the Overlord went back with him.

"Klein, what are you doing here in the hall at night?" As Klein was admiring the portrait of Satan in the hall, he heard someone calling his name. He turned back and it turned out it was Leraye who called him.

"Oh Leraye... Well, I couldn't sleep so I'm walking around. What's about you? Patrolling for the night?"

"Yeah, some of my legions have the duty to protect the palace today, according to the schedule, and I have to lead them. Though if you are walking around at night, let me accompany you." Leraye said with a smile.

"But wouldn't that hinder your patrol?" Klein asked but Leraye replied while smiling, "Not at all. After all, I have to walk around the palace for the patrol anyway. So let's go together."

"Okay, then let's walk together."

Leraye then started to escort Klein like the gentleman he is. While they were walking, Leraye also explained to Klein about things displayed in the palace, like a dedicated tour guide.

"By the way, Klein, can you tell me more about yourself?"

Klein was surprised with the sudden question from Leraye, but he remembered when they first met, Leraye had said to him that he wanted to know more about him. Plus, it would be weird if Leraye was the only one talking in their night walk, like a tour guide, while this wasn't a tour, but a leisure night walk.

"Well... What do you want to know?" Klein asked.

"Anything about you." Leraye answered.

"Anything about me, huh... Well, most of them are boring, anyway, maybe except my Evil Overlord career."

"Then I want to hear about how you became the infamous Evil Overlord."

"Umm... Okay, where should I start?" Klein thought to himself for some time before he began to tell his story.

"Well... It's all started when I was kid. I loved watching Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rangers and other shows with a hero or a group of heroes fighting against the evil villains. But I was different from other kids, they love heroes, while I love villains, the more wicked they are, the better they are to me."

Klein stopped for a bit to check if Leraye was still interested in his story. And he was caught by Leraye's piercing but warm and attentive gaze. Seeing that Leraye was interested in his story, Klein continued.

"After that, I began my chuuni years when I pretended to be great villains. I definitely got into it too much that I began my own research into DNA and robotic science. I managed to create small but weak mutants and some simple drones."

Klein looked at the starry sky outside the big window before continuing.

"However, I need money to advance my research and creations. When I was considering what to do, there was a bank rob in our area. The three robbers managed to escape from the police, but not me. My camera drones were following them. And when the robbers thought they could escape, I ambushed them, with the help of Minhyeok, whom you already met, and his brother. They joined because they wanted to make sure that I would be safe. After the ambush succeeded, Minhyeok and his brother wanted to spare the robbers and only take the money. But I said no, and I shot them. The first time I ever killed someone. For other people, they would be shaking and scared after their first murder. But for me, it was excitement."

"Oh Klein, you are definitely made for Hell." Leraye commented.

"Well, maybe I really am. But I have one regret in that incident. Even though Minhyeok and his brother never said anything after that, it was I who pulled the two into the incident and I killed three persons right in front of their eyes. I was only 13 then, same with Minhyeok, his brothers was a couple of years older. Years later, Minhyeok still sticks with me and my evil plan. However, his brother got married and decided to cut ties with me. It's not like I don't understand though, I know he did that to protect his small family, but it still weighs on my conscience."

Seeing Klein being sad, Leraye held his hand and said.

"Klein, I'm a devil and I don't care about human moral standards, but I can see your friend being loyal with you until the end, he may not agree with what you do but he will not turn his back to you until the end. And one thing I can assure you, even if the whole humanity condemns you, Gehenna, no not just Gehenna but the whole Hell will be on your side."

"Thanks, Leraye." Klein said as he held the sniper's hand tightly. And the two walked out to the garden of the palace.

"The day I killed the three robbers could be said to be the day I began to walk on the path of becoming the feared Evil Overlord. After everything dies down, I used the money to expand my research and created stronger creations. Then I used my stronger screatures to rob more banks, and then I expand my research more. It repeats a few times until I got bored of it, so I decided to switch to research on weapon. After that, I started to sell my weapons to gangs and criminals. And soon enough, I became an infamous merchant within the outlaw circle. And I literally trade everything illegal, including porns, which led me to seize control of the porn industry. Then I began to move to politics, using my money to bribe politicians, providing them with porn stars for them to have fun, connecting them with the outlaws to provide them illegal ways to get rid of their political opponents. Then I started to interfere with the country's elections to elect my puppets. I became the ruler of the country behind the scene. But then I have to enact laws to put limitations on all of the evil things I have done before on the society because I need to ensure my rule is stable."

Klein looked at Leraye again, fearing a disapproval look because of the duality in his actions. However, Leraye only smiled at him.

"And then I have to deal with all the downside that comes with it." Klein began to get melancholy again. "Conscience is one. Sometimes I just ask myself if maybe I could have done something differently, even though it's useless to worry about it now. Or assassination attempt, I have to be careful with what you eat. Or trying to avoid a moving red dot from aiming at your vital points..."

Then, Klein noticed the horror on Leraye's face.

"What?"

"Klein!" Leraye shouted and embraced Klein before dodging out of the way and both of them fell to the ground as the young Overlord heard a gun shot.

Klein looked at the place he just stood and saw a sinister red dot moving on the ground and a bullet which had already been shot near the dot.

Klein glared at the the assassin. What he saw was an angel flying mid-air, he had an extremely big mutanted left eye.

"The Son of Solomon. My prey." He said and roared in spontaneous laughter.

"Don't worry, I will take care of him." Leraye said as he took Klein to behind a big tree an pulled out his gun. But as he revealed his head to aim at the enemy, the angel shot at him right away. Luckily, Leraye dodged in time. But the angel was having an advantage by not allowing Leraye a chance to raise his sniping gun at all.

"Damnit, I can't shoot him like this."

"Leraye, let me help you." Klein said and pulled out a tiny jar. To Leraye's amazement, inside the jar was a tiny winged frog. The Overlord opened the jar.

"Neutralize him!" He ordered.

The frog then flew towards the angel from the other side of the tree.

"What, scared? Then just keep hiding there, I will shoot your patrolling subordinates when they get here. After all, I'm an angel with the power of the whole legion." The sniper angel said laughed hystericallly but when he suddenly felt something heavy on his head.

"Ribbit... Ribbit..." The frog made the sounds before opened its mouth and its long tongue poked the angel's mutanted left eye.

"Gahhhh...damnit... I will kill-"

BANG

Before the angel could finish his sentence, a bullet went through his skull and his body dropped to the ground. The sniper angek was dead in an instant.

"Sir Leraye!!!" A moment later, a bunch of demon soldiers showed up, even other Gehenna nobles and even Satan appeared.

"An angel managed to slip into the palace courtyard but I killed him." Leraye reported to Satan.

"Good work." Satan said before turning to the angel corpse, grinded his teeth and kicked his head, making the head detached from the body and flew far away. Meanwhile, as no one was noticing him, the winged frog returned to Klein's tiny jar.

"Good work, my first creation." Klein praised the frog.

"Ribbit... Ribbit..." The frog replied, it seemed it was happy that it could please its master.

After putting the jar back in his pocket, Klein secretly grabbed the sniper gun of the angel and hid it in his cloak.

"Kleinnnnnnn!!!!" Paimon noticed Klein and clung to him.

"Klein-sama, why are you here?" Ppyong asked, surprised.

"Ah, I was just...*yawn*...having a night walk." Klein said while yawning.

"Your Majesty Satan, the lone angel was trying to kill Klein." Leraye continued his report.

The fact that Klein's life was in danger made Satan clenched his teeth again, while Sitri and the other nobles grimaced, the soldiers inside the courtyard also showed their anger.

"It seems the problem has been solved. Leraye, escort Solomon back to his room." Sitri said.

"Have a good restttt!" Paimon kissed Klein's cheek, making Satan on the side scowl, before pushing him to Leraye.

"Today was fun." Leraye said and Klein made a "What!?" face as he heard the former.

"Because I got to hear many things about you, even though our conversation was interrupted." Leraye smiled. "Let's talk more once you have rested up."

"Okay." Klein said while rubbing his eyes. "By the way, don't tell anyone what I have told you today. It's not like it's a secret between us two, but I want to tell them myself."

"You got it." Leraye said while smiling again.

After some walking time, the two finally reached Klein's room.

"Goodnight, Klein!" The sniper said

"You have some rest after patrol too, Leraye!" Klein said.

"Ah... Before you sleep," Leraye wiped the dust on Klein's face with his hand, "I think you should wash up first, you got dust all over yourself from that fall in the garden earlier."

"You are the one talking, you also got sweat and dust all over you", Klein said. "You should join me in wash up." Klein stopped for a moment before blushing after he realized what he had said, which made Leraye blush too.

"A-alright, let have you wash up before you return to you patrol." Klein pulled Leraye inside his room as his face blushed like a red tomato.

my guy LOVES all heroes, comics and shows and movies, all of 'em, and will wear shirts with a myriad of hero symbols and logos on 'em, but I do think he has a fondness for Marvel guys especially...definitely a big Spiderman liker. For SURE a tokusatsu liker, but I don't think Power Ranger's really Syrus's thing.... he's got more of a fondness for Transformers and Star Fox and. ah. magical girl animes 🥴

Jaden is Not Picky and often LOVES cruddier hero media, which definitely drives Aster, his main Hero Liker Friend, absolutely insane (Aster also being a turbo DC liker lol)
