PragmataPro 0.830 released!

Starting today, PragmataPro has an even more comfortable readability!

Other changes:

— all weights: added and updated the Nerd font icons for the first time was added to Mono versions

— all weights: added notabene ligature available at codepoint 100010

— all weights: added Battery symbols at the codepoints EE00-EE05

— all weights: all the ligatures and Nesteruk glyphs for diagrams are moved to Unicode set 100000-10FFF0

— all weights: fixed the ⟜⊸○∘--- alignment

— Regular: fixed ≤ (U+2264) and ⪇ (U+2A87) alignment

— all weights: improved some APL symbols design

— all weights: disabled ^^ -> ∀ ligature and Git Tree glyphs as default Git Tree glyphs are activable using OpenType Feature ss13

since he’s (half?) japanese irl i got inspired by kimonos (his top is inspired by that) as well as items called tasuki which r pieces of cloth that pin the long sleeves back. ppl use these for work and uuparrot is both an agile and intellectual person so it made sense. ignore the pants here bc this pic is outdated and decrepit but his new ones (depicted in all the other photos) are hakama (also japanese clothing)

Loki and the Deeply Valid Fear of Being a Government-Issued Android Without Knowing It

Imagine living for over a thousand years, committing intergalactic crimes, then one random underpaid TVA clerk with a monotone voice suddenly introduces the possibility that, oh, by the way, what if you were secretly a robot this whole time? And Loki, who has always carried himself with the absolute certainty of a god, pauses. Like. “Wait. What if I am?”

He hears that question and immediately does a full mental diagnostic. Have I ever glitched? Ever felt oddly mechanical? Experienced an unusual fondness for oil? Maybe he’s too good at lying. Too good at surviving. What if that’s just the programming?

The TVA worker just moves on. He doesn’t elaborate. no reassurances. theres no safety net. Just the terrifying possibility that he might get instantly vaporized for something completely outside his control.

Id like to note, his hesitation isn’t even just some random existential crisis, it’s trauma-informed. This man already lived through the experience of waking up one day and realizing he wasn’t who he thought he was.

He grew up thinking he was a prince, a god, Odin’s rightful son, only to find out he was actually a stolen relic of war. A Jotun. A creature he’d been taught to hate.

He thought he knew himself before, and he was wrong. What if he’s wrong again? What if theres something else about himself thats been hidden? If he didn’t realize he was a Frost Giant, whats stopping him from not realizing he’s actually some highly advanced synthetic being?

It’s not just a funny existential gag, it’s a callback to one of the most devastating truths of Loki’s existence:

He has never really known who he is.

It’s the muscle memory of having his entire identity ripped out from under him. It’s the learned fear of asking, What am I, actually?

Because the last time he asked that question, the answer ruined him.

After a sudden burst of inspiration and motivation a few nights ago, I made my own fanmade map cover concept for Abracadabra (Mystic Version) :D !!

I’m overall pretty happy with how it came out :D

(Expand for some rambling about how much I love Sally Mystic as a character & deeply hope she returns in more maps in the future)

I’d really really love to learn more about Sally Mystic. She’s such an interesting coach to me and I genuinely feel like she has so much potential for what could be done with her. Frankly, I think that Poker Face (Magical Version) was such a good setup for her character, and she has so much potential to be a really interesting coach with some great lore behind her. She’s giving some major Dr. Facilier vibes and I absolutely love it, I really really hope she returns in more maps.

If they wanted to do something with her, I honestly feel like Abracadabra by Lady Gaga would literally be the perfect song for her to return in, even as an alt map again if not the main classic map for the song—hence the Mystic Version subtitle on my cover concept.

Like come on, they made a Lady Gaga coach that was a magician and then Abracadabra came out, she’s practically made for the song lol

Just set all of my fics on AO3 to only be viewed by registered users and I encourage everyone else to do the same. With the recent ai scraping I felt that it was the right decision even though this will prevent many people from viewing them. If you can make an AO3 account, do it. There may be a long wait time, but restricting access to fics is the best way to protect them, other than deleting them.

Everything was made from scratch. Including the little lines in the background of both cards (including the white designs on the arrow button), the arrow, AND the Jedi Order symbol!

They're not perfectly accurate recreations, but they're pretty damn close if I do say so myself!!!

Hiiii ! Hope this blog isn’t dead — I just wanted to ask what the differences were between posts that are tagged Oekaki and Not Oekaki — does it depend on the forum it was posted on, or the art style? It’s a little confusing to me since I haven’t heard this term before. ^^

Hi, the tags "oekaki" or "not oekaki" are how we categorize which pieces were drawn on an oekaki using the java applet drawing programs. Oekakis were online message boards that provided onsite drawing programs for you to draw on, which was often the next most accessible drawing program at the time next to MS Paint.

For the time period we focused on, the only available java applet drawing programs on oekakis were OekakiBBS (basically superceded by PaintBBS), PaintBBS, and ShiPainter. They all had little their little quirks and techniques that are visible on finished drawings drawn on an oekaki. If we can tell from these quirks that the drawing was likely drawn in an oekaki applet, we tag it as Oekaki.

what did you use to make your own font with your language's letters and accents? the only website i knew would have worked hasn't been working for a while anymore for me and i can't find a good free alternative🥀

If you talk about the V1 font, i actually used Pre-made fonts from a sketchy vietnamese website that i forgot the name, Here's the note i made with the font's name and some adjustment (NOTE: Adjustment is kinda random when im working but you can follow the below thing)
