As promised, all three together.
Taurauran Scyther, along with its past evolution Incyzor, and future evolution, Lazor.
I'm thinking Scyther is Bug/Dragon, Lazor is Bug/Electric, and Incyzor is Bug/Dark, all three sharing the same BST like regular Scyther, Scizor, and Kleavor.
If you want more information, each should have its own dex entry somewhere on my tumblr
Scyther is an edit from an official sprite, but Lazor and Incyzor are 100% made by me

Quasartico Inc: Bio-Energy Specialists
Tumblr media
Is Quasartico the new evil team? Is there some kind of villainous twist behind their goal to make Lumiose City a place that both Pokemon and humans can enjoy? Let's look at the evidence.
First of all, a quasar is a massive collection of energy radiating from a black hole. Jett's name probably comes from an astrophysical jet, a jet of intense energy from a astronomical object. The image on the Wikipedia page closely resembles Quasartico's logo.
This tells me that Quasartico isn't a construction company, it's an energy company.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Source (First image): Image of Centaurus Galaxy from the European Southern Observatory
If this is true, what kind of energy would they produce...? Say it with me: Infinity Energy. Infinity Energy is at the heart of the Gen VI story, so it would be strange if Z-A didn't continue this story. There's a reason AZ is at your home base in the story.
How would they produce this energy? With the Lumiose City Redevelopment Plan.
Lumiose City is already a place that people and the local Pokemon enjoy. So why go through the trouble of importing more Pokemon into the city, especially Pokemon that wouldn't even live there naturally, like Clauncher or Sandile?
Tumblr media
Because they're harvesting Infinity Energy from them. The holographic barriers that surround the Wild Zones could be very gradually collecting bio-energy from the Pokemon inside of them.
Here's the twist though: I don't think this hurts the Pokemon. Not the majority, at least. I think Quasartico is gathering as many Pokemon as they can in order to harvest safe amounts of energy from every Pokemon.
If this is true, Quasartico has figured out how to create safe, clean Infinity Energy in a way that creates a sustainable city of biodiversity. That sounds amazing! Lumiose City will never have another blackout again!
Tumblr media
Source: Comic Book Resource
Except...there are bound to be mistakes. Accidents. Some Pokemon are going to end up sick, or enraged, or possibly even turned to stone. And just like the incidents in Legends: Arceus, your character will end up investigating these incidents.
Zygarde senses that the humans are messing around with life energy again and hurting Pokemon...and it's angry. Zygarde's sole purpose is to protect the balance of life, and Quasartico is meddling with that balance.
Tumblr media
I think that Vinny and Jett are good people at heart. But if a teenager comes to them and tells them that they need to scrap their entire city redevelopment project because the Zygarde said so...they aren't going to take it seriously.
So here's the moral dilemma. Is this energy worth the risk to Pokemon's safety? Is Quasartico's mission worth it for the Greater Good? Is it time to tear down this whole operation with the power of Zygarde's 100% form?
Or is the solution something in between? (Hint: it's probably that.)
Tumblr media
One more thing: why Lumiose City? Why wouldn't Quasartico set up its energy fields in nature where Pokemon already are, instead of going through the trouble to bring them into the city?
I've saved the most unlikely, possibly craziest theory for last. (If not a pretty old theory that goes back to Pokemon XY.) Maybe Quasartico needs Lumiose City because the bio-energy harvest requires a certain...circular formation to guide the energy.
Almost like a...transmutation circle.

I'm spending too much time on Bulbapedia and this is gonna be a bit long but I swear it's interesting 🤔
"PROJECT AZOTH File No. 1 The goal of Project AZOTH is to return the world—return everything—to the beginning." "PROJECT AZOTH File No. 2 We intend to analyze the power of the ultimate weapon used in Kalos 3,000 years ago [...] According to the report from the Petalburg recon team, Devon Corporation holds the secret of the technology of the ultimate weapon." Azoth was a term used in alchemy to refer to mercury, which was thought to exist as the base of all other metals. According to a Grunt in the games, the A and Z in the project's name represent "beginning" and "end", respectively. [bulbapedia] "Infinity Energy is a type of energy in the Pokémon world derived from the life force of Pokémon. It was developed and harnessed by the Devon Corporation. Its development also involved research into Mega Evolution." [bulbapedia] "A tall visitor from a distant land referred to Mega Rayquaza as the Δ (Delta) and said it was born of the world's disturbances and would calm them." [context: this happens when the meteoroid where Sootopolis is later created hits Hoenn; ingame we can find his Floette's flower under the tree in Sootopolis] [bulbapedia] — ORAS
Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of this leads me to believe that Quasartico Inc. isn't just related to Lysandre Labs but also the Devon Corporation. ORAS was always deeply connected to XY. The usage of triangles in their HQ could of course just be a simple aesthetic choice depicting futurism, but combined with the other overlaps I can't help thinking of the Delta Episode, the triangle Deoxys (wow xy?) appears in and Rayquaza being "the Delta".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also see that holo technology has advanced, meaning Quasartico either bought up Lysandre Labs after Lysandre's demise, there's Flare members in their midst, or maybe even Lysandre himself (X could have granted him eternal life like AZ).
There's of course also the name origin of Quasartico being quasars, blazing centers of active galaxies that are powered by a supermassive black hole feeding on humungous quantities of gas. Which almost sounds too on the nose for the ultimate weapon being used again.
I've already seen people explain it better so I won't go into detail, but the city layout of Lumiose bears striking resemblance to a transmutation circle in alchemy, most infamously seen in Fullmetal Alchemist, used to drain life force and culminating in immortality for one person.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion... it seems morbid for Pokémon, but XY itself has AZ's story, and both PLA and ScarVi showed GF is willing to have their stories show some darker tones. So it's not unlikely we will have to stop another ultimate weapon, and we might not just see XY's Aura Trio but also Rayquaza or Deoxys actively present in the story.

Summary: Callum and Rayla make their way from the Starscraper to the Nexus. a/n: This fic is nothing but fluff and smut and then hurt/comfort and some smut + firm E for explicit rating. If that's not your thing, catch me in the next one! Word count: 7.8k
Flying was easier with the silkwings it turned out, Rayla’s arms sore from being extended but not from also flapping like Callum’s when they finally descended. The miles of tundra and wicked winter wind had given way to frosty pines that provided shelter if mostly chilled shade, Callum using some of the branches as kindling to get their fire going with a quick fulminus .
They huddled close in the dark after eating dinner, misty breaths like ghosts in the air as their first real night settled over the land. It was hard to believe just this morning they’d set out from the Starscraper with their goals accomplished—the pearl safely hidden, Aaravos’ threat nullified, and the quasar diamonds for her parents secured. It already felt like a lifetime ago, somehow, Rayla’s shoulders lighter than they had been in two and a half years.
And then warmer, too, as Callum ‘yawned’ and then draped an arm across them, pulling her into his side. His lips twitched when he caught her looking, wry and all too pleased with himself. “What?”
She scoffed, leaning into him and unable to fully hide a smile. “Oh, very smooth.”
His fingers slipped beneath her silver pauldron, stroking her shoulder under the fabric. “You mean like on the evil black ice—hey mmf—”
Rayla twisted around quickly, hauling him close by the scarf and kissing him quiet. Kissing had always been the most effective way of getting Callum to stop talking back in their younger years, she was very glad it was an option again, his hand moving from her shoulder to the small of her back, their knees knocking together lightly as they turned towards each other, his lips searing and melting into hers.
She parted from him with a soft sigh, smirking back at him as his lips curved and he narrowed his eyes at her. “That’s your plan, then? Kissing me whenever you want to change the topic?”
Her fingers curled into his scarf, tugging it away from his neck just a little. “Maybe,” she trilled.
Her mage gave up the ruse as he drew her in for more kisses, his expression brightening. “I think I could get used to that.”

Tell me everything about your oc NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha jk, ,,,,,, unless ?
Tumblr media
Because tumblr was mean and kicked me out here’s an image of the first lil blurb I wrote
CONTINUING ON THOUGH!
Currently Eli’s main trials is 1 of his very own and 2 MK events (will elaborate further later), but in events where multiple PA’s can be in the same area (like Prime Time, any other events like that in the past I may have missed due to just getting the game recently lol) he will automatically be placed alongside Franco Barbi - typically in The Docks, but he has attended The Fun Park a few times. He is never found in The Orphanage or The Police Station.
As for Eli’s actual past? What brought him to Project Lathe? It’s a long story.
Let’s go back to the very beginning.
Eli, as he’s known, is a multidimensional being that I created in order to have a baseline sona for fictional universes. He started back in 2022 as a Sonic OC, and has just grown ever since.
He was born from a quasar and searches the multiverse for companionship and to study life on planets.
His consciousness splits upon every universe (meaning that only this version of it is present in the universe).
Only one can exist per dimension, so there is only one Elisheva for every fictional world.
and this is where we bring it back to Outlast.
Upon traversing to this world in New York, Elisheva finds he can’t achieve his regular form. He’s human in this world, against his will. Spoiler alert! that’s due to Murkoff fuckery.
For reference: Eli is usually in the appearance of an anthropomorphic rabbit because again, thats how he began (a sonic oc.) Tosses these at ya!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He attempts to live a normal life in the Outlast world, despite being SO out of his element. This doesn’t really go well.
Being a human version of himself, and in the 1930s-50s where he grows up in New York…things aren’t…great.
Firstly those scars? Those aren’t there. He grows into “a woman”. With all the societal pressures of being an adult in the 50s, he has to perform femininity to an incredulous degree. Or, he should.
He refuses. Living as himself rather than the fraudulent woman people around him wishes him to be. What used to be friends are now enemies, and the world begins to crumble beneath him.
On top of that, I give him my epilepsy in EVERY world, so he’s super fucked in that stance. ADA didn’t pass until the 1990s, and there was no goddamn way people would accommodate for him.
Slowly being stripped of his personhood, he loses himself. And if he can’t look the way he truly is, and if he cannot be helped without death, then death it shall be.
He begins an impressive murder spree, the mask fused to his face being the flesh of his victims. The only reason Clyde Perry isn’t harmed from attempting to find him is because Elisheva already almost took himself out.
Clyde finds him half dead bleeding from…it’d be easier to name where he WASN’T bleeding from, but the most shocking part to many was his chest. He lopped parts of it off (an actually written moment of my own intrusive/impulsive thoughts if I had no restraint)
So Eli is taken to Sinyala without much of a hitch and slight reconstruction on his breasts, arms, legs- really everywhere but his face, which, of course, now bore the mask.
Tumblr media
^ A transcription of an interview :)
He’s named Project Patchwork after the mask and Patchwork Rabbit for the same reason.
I and others have this headcanon of The Prime Assets having their own holding rooms at Sinyala - and I know it’s cliché, but at first Eli is held WITH Franco in an effort to calm the both of them. Franco needs a Mommy and Eli needs a damn friend. I’m not sure if I do want them to separate their rooms, but if they ever do it’ll just add more interesting things to their dynamic. They will EVENTUALLY become an item, but it takes a very long time.
Eli’s Trial is called “Reform the Formless”, and it takes place on The Campgrounds.
His MK Challenges are “Evacuate The Grounds” and “Drown the Counselor”
RTF has tasks that builds to you eventually rushing out with mannequin “children” and putting them into a cart, pushing them to safety. Eli will try to protect these children. This is a 45 minute trial.
“Taking away the bonds that which the cow has with her calf is how we create more cows. More milk. More money. Take these lost cows from their mother. Take them. Reform them. And we will let you out.”
ETG is a shorter version, where you pretty much only take the kids out, versus everything else in the made up trial (which includes gaining access to the grounds through summer camp-like quests) this is a 15 minute trial.
DTC is actually a lot like Vindicate The Guilty or Cleanse The Orphans in the sense of ya need keys to activate a thing to kill a man. This time its boat keys and a “dunk the ___” minigame to complete the trial. 15 minute trial
Eli tends to kill using only his teeth and nails as well as general brute force. He can also pick up things like bricks and bottles to throw at you, but he much prefers the former.
Uhh that’s all I have. If you read this far I’m giving you a kiss on the forehead and hugs (with consent of course)

[ Ianthe and Quasar ]
It's time for me to pull off more Nebufaery fanart that needs to said and done. Here I drew Ianthe and Quasar since today is @tillychee
Ianthe and Quasar originated from a web series which happens to be known as "Nebufaery" which dates back as far as 2016. These characters were created by Tama (pretty sure you people recognize her back on dA or other social media sites as well). This project had a pretty short-lived webcomic series which ran for only two years and it faded into obscurity until three years later tilly later gainted the rights to Nebufaery with the permission from Tama.
It has a pretty long history regarding on the premise and characters, but I'm honestly glad that Nebufaery is still around to this day. I really honestly recommend to go check out the nebufaery's official tumblr page if any of you guys want to see more related to this cute project right here:

Back on my scratch spriting, and the first one of the year I believe. This one is a little big- I am a bit rusty- but i don't really care. I love this guy
Lazor, Future Edge Pokemon
Type: Bug/Electric or Bug/Fire, unsure at the moment
Ht: 6'1
wt: 80 lbs
Ability: Laser Edge- Sword, Claw, or Swiping moves are powered up
Evolves from T. Scyther with the Link Cable while holding "Future Fragment"
Lazor is said to be a pokemon that will exist in about 4,000 years in the future, if T. Scyther's evolution continues as planned. How they came to the present day is unknown. Using electricity they create from specialized organs and near-steel like carapaces, they create blades of pure energy that can cut through diamonds like butter. They can move with incredible speed and agility using this same energy infused with their wings. They have a fondness for caffeinated drinks and techno music.
Tumblr media
It evolves from my regional Scyther (this one's an edit of an official sprite) which is a Bug/Dragon type I think? Same deal as Scyther, Scizor, and Kleavor where the BST are probably about the same, just rearranged. In this case, I imagine Lazor to be a glass sword- high speed and high attack, frail defenses.
Lazor's name comes from Laser- obviously- as in a Laser Blade such a light saber, meant to reflect the naming scheme of the Scyther family (Scythe, Scissor, and Cleaver). There's also a bit of a Taser inspiration as well, and a bit of Kamen Rider inspiration- never saw the shows, but I dig the aesthetics.
I plan on working on a past evolution as well- this one leaning more into Scyther's dinosaur side since Lazor leans more towards the bug angle.
That's all for now

Summary: In unearthing the Nomu Factory, the Heroes and police of Japan discovered a body. This was not unexpected, but the nationality and uniform of the corpse in question… that was. Because this failed Nomu wore the uniform of Amestris, a war torn nation from the isolated continent of Atossa, where Quirks and modern electronics had never developed and never worked. Edward Elric hoped he could retire from military service in peace, traveling Amestris while his brother Alphonse went to Xing. This is put on hold when now-Fuhrer Mustang asks him to travel to the Outside, to the world beyond that was barricaded for centuries after the development of something called ‘Quirks’. A soldier has been killed and Amestris needs to know more about the Outside. … Or, Edward Elric and Amestris meet the greater world of Heroes and Villains. It remains to be seen who’s more traumatized by the encounter.

Final data and undiscovered images from NASA’s NEOWISE
While NASA’s NEOWISE telescope ended its journey through space on Nov. 1, 2024, the team at IPAC, a science center at Caltech, was working on one further gift from the prolific mission.
The final data release from NEOWISE was released to the astronomy community just two weeks later, on Nov. 14, encompassing over 26 million images and nearly 200 billion sources detected by the telescope. And today, IPAC is releasing six new images from the mission’s archival data as a tribute to this landmark project, available here: https://www.astropix.org/link/3b2x
NEOWISE was launched as the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) in 2009 and then reactivated in 2013 as NEOWISE, the asteroid-hunting phase of the mission. The infrared space telescope studied the entire night sky and conducted 21 complete sky surveys during more than a decade of operation. The mission focused on identifying and studying small objects in our solar system like asteroids and comets, also known as near-Earth objects (NEOs), but the infrared data collected by the telescope has proven to have countless applications throughout the field of astronomy.
The mission concluded operations in July 2024, and during its 15 years in space, scientists have been able to revisit the same areas of the sky again and again, with most being observed by NEOWISE at least 220 times. This repeated observation helps astronomers search for and study objects that change in brightness or location.
“Being able to watch the changing sky for nearly 15 years has opened a new avenue for time-domain science, for everything from the closest asteroids to the most distant quasars,” said Joe Masiero, Research Scientist at IPAC and the Deputy Principal Investigator of the mission.
In recent years, NEOWISE has enabled scientists to study curious objects like brown dwarfs and discover patterns in large populations of comets. Over its mission lifetime, NEOWISE has characterized over 3000 NEOs—approximately 10% of the known population, and something that was only possible due to its long tenure scanning the sky.
The final NEO observed by NEOWISE, known as 2007 LV8, was seen over 100 times in the closing days of the survey since it closely followed the telescope’s scan pattern.
“Because of NEOWISE’s extensive view of the sky, we get a more complete picture of the asteroids and comets in Earth’s orbital neighborhood. The data provide a unique way of understanding factors like the size and rotation period of these NEOs,” said Roc Cutri, NEOWISE Task Lead and Project Scientist at IPAC.
The team at IPAC was responsible for the ingestion and processing of raw data, production of final data products, and archiving mission science and engineering data. IPAC also distributes WISE/NEOWISE data to the community through the NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive (IRSA) and provides services such as powerful analysis and visualization tools. The IPAC Communications & Education team prepares mission images for public release in the AstroPix image gallery.
Never-before-seen images from NEOWISE
During the original WISE mission, over 100 areas of the sky were highlighted in public image releases, but they revealed only a tiny fraction of the full-sky coverage of the survey.
“The WISE and NEOWISE data releases are built for researchers, but they also embody some of the most amazing images of our infrared sky,” said Robert Hurt, IPAC Visualization Scientist. “They are so easy to work with it's almost too easy to make a beautiful image from them! That's why I wanted to revisit the archive to locate some hidden gems we missed before.”
To find new interesting areas of the sky, the positions of the previous images were overlaid onto maps of the sky using data from WISE and other missions. The new map revealed many zones that have not been highlighted for the public but contain fascinating regions of cosmic dust where stars are born. Six spots were selected, with many of them spanning large areas of the sky—a distinct advantage of an all-sky survey such as NEOWISE.
One image stands out as particularly meaningful to the IPAC community: NEOWISE’s view of the California Nebula.
Named after the dust cloud’s resemblance to the California coastline, Masiero says it commemorates the years of hard work and dedication of the NEOWISE data processing team at IPAC, located in Pasadena, California.
“I’m really grateful for all of the people at IPAC who have put so much effort into making this the best dataset possible, for today and for future generations,” said Masiero.
The California Nebula is located in the Milky Way, about 1000 light-years away, in the Perseus constellation. It is a dusty region illuminated by the nearby massive star Menkib, born just a few million years ago. The entire California Nebula stretches across 100 light-years and is fully captured in this wide-field view. The dust clouds glow brightly in longer wavelengths of infrared light, displayed here in green and red.
The new images pulled from the archives represent the billions of sources detected by NEOWISE waiting to be studied by future researchers.
“We know there are more things to discover in the NEOWISE data that we just haven’t noticed yet,” said Masiero. “As astronomers develop new tools and techniques and as new surveys are conducted, we can be sure the NEOWISE archive will be one of the first places we look for the data needed to better understand our universe.”
NEOWISE’s legacy is only just beginning
As astronomers continue to mine the NEOWISE archive at IRSA, there are many untold stories of comets, asteroids, nebulae, and more waiting in the data.
Yuna Kwon, a solar system astronomer and IPAC archive scientist, first joined as a postdoctoral fellow in 2023. Even though the NEOWISE mission ended not long after, her work with its data is only just beginning.
Along with Masiero, Kwon is leading a project called COSINE, Cometary Object Study Investigating their Nature and Evolution, cataloging and analyzing comets observed by NEOWISE.
“Together with my amazing colleagues at IPAC, we now have the largest-ever consistently analyzed comet database and are preparing publications based on our findings,” said Kwon.
Kwon studies comets because they are some of the oldest and most primitive objects in our solar system. Their physical properties could tell us about the conditions during the solar system’s formation.
“Comets are like cats — they have tails and do precisely what they want,” said Kwon. “Thankfully, NEOWISE has a treasure trove of data to study these idiosyncratic objects.”
Before working with NEOWISE data, Kwon said that it was hard to decipher large-scale trends from only a small number of comets. But now with COSINE and NEOWISE data, she is able to understand the big picture.
“I'm truly enjoying this exploration,” said Kwon. “My experience with NEOWISE data has broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the comet population itself, putting the observations in a broader context of the formation and evolution of the solar system.”
Going forward, Kwon hopes to combine the knowledge gained from NEOWISE with new data from upcoming observatories including NEO Surveyor and SPHEREx.
TOP IMAGE: The California Nebula is seen in its entirety in this image from NASA’s WISE mission, covering over 25 square degrees of sky. In this infrared view, the dust clouds underlying the nebula glimmer in greens and reds. Also known as NGC 1499, it derives its common name from its similarity to the dramatic coastline of the U.S. state of California.
The California Nebula extends 100 light years through space, and it is illuminated by one of the hottest stars visible in the night sky, known as Menkib. Its surface temperature is about 37,000 degrees, and its total energy output is over 300,000 times more than that of our own Sun. It belongs to an association of very hot stars that were born from the California Nebula only a few million years ago.
The stellar winds blowing out from the fast-moving Menkib pile up as they impact interstellar gas and dust to create a shock wave. Known a “bow shock,” as an analogy to the waves that pile up at the bow of a sailing ship, it heats up the ambient dust clouds through which it is passing, seen here in red.
This image uses data from the original cryogenic phase of the WISE mission. Infrared wavelengths of 3.4 & 4.6 microns are displayed in blue and cyan, respectively, and are dominated by the glow of stars. Light with a wavelength of 12 microns is displayed in green and traces the presence of carbon-rich dust known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). The 22 micron light is rendered in red and is dominated by the thermal glow of warm dust.
Credit NASA/JPL-Caltech/IPAC
CENTRE IMAGE: Skygazers have dubbed this region the “Gecko Nebula” for its resemblance to a downturned head with a pointed snout, though astronomers refer to the area as LBN 437. This cloud of dust and gas is a region of star formation, which is revealed clearly in infrared light by NASA’s WISE mission.
Near the “snout” of the gecko you can see a blazing star with a strong red tint, due to its brightness at longer wavelengths of infrared light. This baby star is in its final stages of formation, and while it gobbles up the last of its fuel, some is ejected away in jets of gas that are carving cavities through the surrounding dust clouds. These structures are known as “Herbig Haro” objects to astronomers, and the most prominent around this young star is called HH 398.
This image uses data from the original cryogenic phase of the WISE mission. Infrared wavelengths of 3.4 & 4.6 microns are displayed in blue and cyan, respectively, and are dominated by the glow of stars. LOWER IMAGE: This tadpole-shaped nebula is known as CG12. It is an example of a “cometary globule,” where a denser region of dust trails off into thread-like strands. While challenging to see in visible light images, WISE easily shows the full extent of the globule’s tail as it lights up at longer wavelengths of infrared light.
The tip of CG12 is also known as NGC 5367 in the Centaurus constellation. This region is easier to see as a “reflection nebula” as the light of the bright stars scatters off of the enveloping dust clouds, showing up in visible light images as a blue haze.
This image uses data from the original cryogenic phase of the WISE mission. Infrared wavelengths of 3.4 & 4.6 microns are displayed in blue and cyan, respectively, and are dominated by the glow of stars. BOTTOM IMAGE: These ghostly pillars span a large swath of sky about half the width of your outstretched hand held at arm’s length, falling along the boundary between the constellations of Vela and Centaurus. However, they have no common name and are not identified in historic catalogs like Messier or NGC for the simple reason they cannot be seen in visible light. This region falls behind a veil of dust in the spaces between stars and can only be seen at longer wavelengths of infrared light, as seen here in data from NASA’s WISE mission. At wavelengths of 12 and 22 microns, displayed here in green and red, respectively, the obscuring dust becomes more transparent, and denser clouds of dust begin to glow clearly under the light of neighboring stars.
Pillars such as these are found in regions where there are clumpy, denser clouds of gas and dust falling under the illumination of nearby hot, bright stars. The dust particles are slowly destroyed by the stars’ ultraviolet light, but denser regions erode more slowly than their surroundings, and even shield material behind them. This creates striking pillar-shaped structures like these.
The tips of these pillars often serve as stellar nurseries, as the denser gas and dust collapse over time to form and nurture new stars. These can be seen as red-tinted spots of light in the two largest pillars in this image, glowing brightly at the longest wavelengths of infrared light.

Even though they were not outdoors anymore, Rayla could not help but shiver every time she attempted to take her cloak off. Callum had noticed but couldn’t do anything as they were standing in front of Kosmos and Astrid. The two celestial elves explain the precarious balance of the world and how giving them the Nova Blade and the Quasar Dimons without them proving to be worthy, would break it. Because of course, they seemed more dangerous than an ancestral evil archmage. Rayla absolutely understood it.
“Tomorrow you will get the chance to prove you’re worthy,” said Astrid, stopping in front of a door.
“For now, you may rest, I guess you’ve traveled long distances to get here” Kosmos opened the door and let them in.
The room had glimmery walls, a big window with a view to the clouds, two individual-sized beds suspended in some kind of magic web, and a door that Rayla supposed was the bathroom.
“We thought you would be fine with just one room, but we can always give you another” added Astrid.
Rayla and Callum exchanged a look. The mage cleared his throat “It’s okay” he said “We both can stay here”
With an almost imperceptible nod, the elves left them alone.
Rayla sighed and left the bag she was carrying along with Stella and the baitling on the bed.
“Are you okay, Rayla?”
She sat on the bed, hugging herself “Yes, it’s just a little cold here”
Callum sat next to her and passed one arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.
“The spell must have worn off by now” he muttered. His mind traveled to Finnegrin’s ship and Rayla’s agonizing screams as her blood was frozen. What a shame the heat on his blood couldn’t be transmitted to her.
“Calidum cutis” Callum chanted as his fingers traced a small rune.
Instantly Rayla release a relieved sigh.
“Thank you, Callum,” she said, a small smile on her lips.

A bit late, I know
Less than 48 hours for S6! I'm so hyped, and excited but also terrified like I've never been in my life.
The fanfic is completely fanon, I don't really think the canon is gonna take that path, but either way, it was fun exploring it.
