A lil bit of an idea that's been running in my head for a bit,

Immortal and/or invincible Bad Kids AU

Because of the lovely event in freshman year where they were all healed (and revived) by a phoenix egg (which think about it. An egg?? Of the ashy bird?? I'd assume it's pretty damn legendary) that it turns into a "you can't really die" effect of some sort.

But not the way Ayda does it, that's phoenix blood relation specifically. Just some sort of weird egg immortality where you can't stay dead.

Like, say Adaine died from a critical weapon attack. She'll get up maybe 2-3 rounds later? But for poor Riz that got fireballed, it'll take at least 4-5 days to reconstitute the burnt flesh. And scaring the shit out of everyone, leading to them figuring out they're immortal.

I can imagine Gorgug becoming the wild scientist of Aguefort since he's got the whole teacher thing going on. But then a student befriends him and finds out that hey he's pretty chill.

Adaine and Fig being largely unaffected bcs they’re gonna be alive anyway for a really long frickin time but now they can't really die? Maybe Fig will do some taking over Hell shit with Bill, and Adaine can finally burn Fallinel's government to the ground.

Riz kicks ass being an old Spy bcs for some reason no one really questions the nice grey-haired little green man walking by until he Black Widow style kicks you in the face.

Kristen’s already got weird shit going on with being the Saint of Cassandra? But yeah she's gonna have some fun in her now built up congregation going "back in my day"

Fabian's going to rub it in his elvish relatives faces first. Tell me Hilariel stayed in that egg bcs she's in the same boat as Telemaine. But yeah just be a kick ass pirate or a privateer, hang out with Ayda every so often.

Do you guys ever think about the fact that we got to see Maya Fey at a point in time where she's older than Mia was when she died... do you ever think about younger siblings who grow older than their older siblings... who get a glimpse of how it felt for their sibling to be that age... and that their older sibling will always feel older and more mature in their memories, even as they're perpetually stuck as the age they died in while their younger sibling gets to surpass them in years and life experience... do you ever think about that and cry...

Also I love little Jean so much it's not even funny, she is the cutest character! If I ever get around to it, I'm drawing their cute little dysfunctional family hiding out in their cave from all the other tributes.

The last one is from some interview with James Maccavoy and Michael Fassbender, where they were talking about what Erik and Charles would be like with a child and I found it funny as hell so I drew Charles's part, and never got around to Erik's lmao.

Phoenix au

Danny, Dani, Vlad, and Jason aren't actually halfas. They're phoenixes.

The reason they didn't realize it is because ghosts don't know much about other species. The fact that Phoenixes have a tendency to burn their surroundings (even ectoplasm) after they die means they almost never become ghosts. Especially since if they did have any severe regrets or attachments left in life, they normally come back to life after a few seconds to a few years.

None of them realized until they ran into Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman.

So by "yet-to-be announced" do they mean one of the books we only have titles for and nothing else or something that hasn't been revealed at all? If it's the former then it'll probably either be X-Factor (Rachel's old team), X-Force (Betsy's old team) or Phoenix, which easily could end up being a Jean/Rachel/Hope book instead of a Jean solo book.

I do like the idea of a book about the three generations of Phoenix (mother, daughter, granddaughter), and anything that gives Jean and Rachel some actual time together is a must read for me.

Whatever it ends up being I'm just Rachel and Betsy will still be together and a part of the new era.

Small Natlan theory for your consideration

So Mavuika definitely looks like Himeko, but is also based on the Māori fire deity Mahuika. Mahuika is the little sister of a goddess named Hine-nui-te-pō, who’s the goddess of the night and receives spirits when they die.

In Natlan, there’s a place called the Night Kingdom and currently the Abyss is invading— which will negatively affect Natlan proper as well. The competition also has a thing called the Pilgrimage where contests seemingly go to the Night Kingdom and race to the exit, and if they fail to make it out in time they kinda just stay there?

Death also isn’t final in Natlan, instead they go into the Scared Flame, so it seems like for Natlan there’s something else that contributes to death. Something like a goddess… mayhaps?

What I’m saying is if Mavuika is based on Mahuika and Genshin and has all these extra elements to death, then that means a Hine-nui-te-pō is possibly also canon.

And if Mavuika looks like Himeko, then is it possible that Hine-nui-te-pō could look like Kiana Kaslana?
