Eh, just an idea that came to mind </3
--------------------
He's on the Resolute when he opens his eyes.
Well, that shouldn't be even remotely possible, Rex knows for a fact he died on Yavin IV.
He knows he died.
"Rex? Is everything alright?" Shaking his head, Rex is grateful he's wearing his bucket when he turns to see Ahsoka, a young Ahsoka with so much life to her, looking up at him expectantly.
"I, yes, sorry." Rex somehow wills his voice to remain steady, and Ahsoka raises her eyebrow.
"Right...so, are we still going to train with Jesse or what? I'm hoping to get at least an hour in before Master Anakin forces me to try and sleep." The padawan rolls her eyes, missing the way Rex allows himself a shaky breath as he wordlessly follows Ahsoka down hallways that he traveled in his nightmares.
"Hey, what took you guys so long?" Jesse waved when the two entered, and Ahsoka hurried her pace into the training room with a grin. "Hardcase and I are betting who can take you down first, and I plan on winning."
"In your dreams!" Hardcase laughed, shoving him goodnaturedly as some of the other men watched their banter in amusement.
"For the record, he has gotten further than you." Dogma pointed out, and smirked when Hardcase looked betrayed.
"You have to step your game up, otherwise all those delicious ration packs might be eaten." Fives laughed from where he and Echo were arm wrestling, lamenting when Echo managed to take his momentary distraction to his advantage. "Kriff."
"What was that about never losing?" Echo grinned, the expression faltering when he looked behind Fives. "Captain, are you alright?"
Every set of eyes in the room darted over to the door just as Rex's knees hit the floor, and the playful energy in the room vanishes as Ahsoka is the first to reach his side. He can hear her talking to him, but the ringing in his ears drowns over every word as small fingers probe him for injuries that aren't there, skin devoid of the scars he would come to earn later in his life. Kix is kneeling in front of him now, and Rex jerks back when the medic tries to lift his helmet off, scrambling to his feet and away from the mass of soldiers who were extremely concerned at seeing their captain acting out of the ordinary.
"Captain, talk to us." Fives approaches him with his hands raised, and Rex wants to joke about not being some scared animal, but every word he could have said just seem to get stuck in his throat as he just stares. "Please, let us help."
"I..." He sounds like he's been screaming for hours, and motions for Fives to step back as he regards the people in front of him.
"Hey, is everything alright in here?"
The universe stops as Rex turns ever so slightly to look at the other entrance to the training room, and has his blasters out and pointed before he can even blink.
"What the hell is going on?!" Jesse hissed, everyone remaining still as if the slightest movement could trigger Rex to fire. "Are you out of your mind Rex?!"
"Rex, buddy, what are you doing?" Anakin holds both of his hands up, staring back at the man who has both blasters focused directly at his head. While the Jedi might not be the best shooter, he knows when someone is aiming to kill, and more so when they're terrified of their target. The raw fear and anger spilling into the Force from Rex could probably be felt all the way to Coruscant, and Anakin can only wonder what's changed in the last hour since they had successfully completed their latest campaign.
"Stay right there." Rex nearly spits out the words to Anakin, and the Jedi doesn't move a muscle as Rex takes one step forward.
"Rex, talk to us." Ahsoka darted forward before anyone could protest, putting herself directly between Rex and Anakin. "We won't hurt you!"
"He would." The anger is gone from his voice, but his stance hasn't faltered for a moment as he readjusts his aim around her. "Move Ahsoka."
"No, I won't let you hurt Master Skywalker." She stood firm, and Rex finally looks away from Anakin down to her, and the sorrow that suddenly traveled through the Force nearly had her step back.
"Rex...what's happened to you?" Anakin doesn't flinch when Rex looks back up, just keeping his stance as calm as possible. "You can always talk to me about anything."
Rex shakes his head, and drops his arms with a strangled noise no one in the room had heard before, his guns clattering to the floor as he sinks back onto his knees. Ahsoka once again kneels in front of him, and Rex doesn't fight her as she reaches up and removes his bucket, revealing a tear-stained face heavy with loss and exhaustion.
If someone had looked at Rex earlier in the day, he would not be the same man now openly showing his sorrow in front of them, as if he'd been carrying a burden for a long time.
"Rex, talk to us." Echo kneels beside his commander, feeling dread at the way Rex looks at him with a pained expression.
"We lost everything."
The Resolute stands motionless in her post as every single clone aboard is ordered to the hangar, to be addressed by Captain Rex.
He talks to them for hours and tells them of the future, a future he had died as the last clone from the army that had once stood as millions strong. How they were all created to be one thing, a weapon to wield against the Jetti, and bring about an end to the Republic they fought for so dearly. His voice breaks when he speaks of the day they all turned against their Jetti, of how he and Ahsoka became one of the last of the surviving 501st because he had headed Fives' warning and fought against the weapons inside their heads. Rex tells them of the Empire that rose from the ashes of the day they had their free will torn from them, how clones either served and died under the Empire, or were tortured and killed by the same. He speaks of their numbers dwindling in such a short time, until finally, he was the only one left, the only one who had helped bring the Empire to its death.
Rex is staring at Anakin when he speaks of the way he was manipulated by Palpatine, the Jedi looking horrified when he learns he became a Sith that killed too many innocents to mention. Rex is staring at Ahsoka when he speaks of the Rebellion that she helped build, and is haunted when he speaks of the day she died in his arms.
Rex isn't standing by the end, his voice hoarse as he's slumped against Fives, just speaking about everything vital until he finally goes silent. He watches as Kix and the medics all but vault for the exit, and Rex can breathe in relief when he knows that the chips will be found within minutes.
Rex is left with the Jetti alone in the hangar when the men filter back to their posts, all awaiting their turn to be seen by the medics. Ahsoka is hugging him as tight as she can, feeling so horrified and lost at what they had learned, and wanted Rex to feel that he wasn't alone again. Anakin is sitting by his side, one hand on Rex's shoulder, and the other holding up his lightsaber as he stares at it, suddenly finding his weapon fit more for an executioner rather than a Knight.
"Keep it." Rex's voice is barely above a whisper, and Anakin looks at him. "You're a symbol."
"No...not with what you told me." Anakin was a monster, so blind to trust Palpatine, who was using him rather than actually caring for him.
"You have time, use it." Slowly, Rex places his hand on the hilt, and with a hum, the familiar blue blade slides out. "You are a good Jedi."
"I promise to stay that way, I promise." Anakin puts his other hand over Rex's, and for the first time since he had to watch his own brothers die so long ago, Rex feels something.
Hope.

Can’t get the idea of Rebels era old Rex Gregor and Wolffe time travelling.
And i don’t mean elderly consciousness put back into their younger bodies kind of time travelling, i mean old 60-70sh biologically, sagging skin and beer bellied Rex Wolffe and Gregor back in time, kicking ass, taking names and bringing down the empire before it officially begins
Mostly this comes for me wanting old Wolffe who with gained knowledge and insight into what the Corries and Fox more specifically endured, plus a little bit of emotional growth and brain damage deciding that the best course of action to stop his brothers neck being snapped is to go rogue and kidnap him.
Fox wakes up from like his 4 and a half hour designated sleeping period to the blurry sight of an unusual wrinkled Wolffe standing right beside his bed. He doesnt even have time to say ‘what the fuck’ before he’s been stunned and flung over old Wolffe’s shoulder and is then snuck out to be stashed away somewhere while Wolffe works out how to kidnap everyone else.
Also! Old Rex meeting young Rex and taking every opportunity to make fun of him. The 501st adore old Rex, young Rex does not.
Old!Rex: y’know when I was your age…
Young!Rex: When you were my age you were me now shut the fuck up
And also:
Fives: Will we all be pudgy when we’re older or is that just a you thing?
Rex: 🤬
Speaking of getting older, there’s also the fact that most of the clones didn’t actually get to Rex’s age and i think this would be really painful for the Old Relics Gang too. Like you knew how young your brothers were when the died but seeing them makes it hit harder.
Cody is not thrilled at being treated like a younger brother even if happy that Rex reached old age.
Where is Gregor in this you ask? Probably helping Wolffe kidnap people. Rex is not impressed with the short term planning even if he kind of wanted to do the same.

There's someone with Fox.
Rex squints his eyes. There's a small, dark-haired woman standing next to Fox. She is looking up to him and saying something, and from the downwards tilt of Fox's head, even with his helmet on, Rex knows that Fox is saying something back.
She looks awfully familiar, but at the same time Rex knows that he has not met her before. It's a somewhat paradoxical feeling, but she's so familiar that he would know if he had ever seen her before this.
He watches them for a while, but mainly her. She is tiny, in both height and overall stature, and she is wearing comfortable, yet high-end clothes. Rex has spent enough time with Padmé by now to recognise when something has been made with enough care and money. Her hair is braided, rather intricately, into two crossing bands at the back of her head. She looks a lot like all the women in the Alderaanian delegation, with the hair and the clothes, he decides.
Perhaps she is. Rex knows that Fox is rather close with Senator Organa these days, as the Senator has been a good ally to the Guard. It makes the most sense. Perhaps she is a relative of someone in the delegation, and Rex has seen those said relatives before.
The thought feels wrong, for some reason, but it's the best he can come up with for now, especially since they seem very comfortable with each other. Fox doesn't let himself be comfortable like that with many people.
Anakin comes to stand next to him.
"What is it?" He asks Rex.
"Nothing, was just watching them", Rex says, and nods his head towards Fox and the woman. "My brother's there, and she looks familiar, so I was trying to see if I recognised her."
Anakin looks over to Fox and the woman as well, and that is the moment Rex sees her going awfully still. Then she's whipping her head around, and locking her dark eyes with Rex and Anakin.
She looks-
Rex blinks. She looks at Rex, for a split second, and then looks at Anakin, and even from this far, Rex sees how her eyes turn hard and cold. She steps closer to Fox, partially in front of him, like she is attempting to shield him from them, even when she's almost two heads shorter than Fox, and not the one wearing full-body armor.
She takes Fox's hand into hers, and says something. Rex sees how Fox looks up at him and Anakin as well, and instead of coming to greet Rex, he lets her turn him around and walks away.
He looks up at Anakin, who has a deep scowl on his face.
"Sir?" Rex calls. Anakin blinks, too, and the scowl clears slightly.
"She looks familiar", he mumbles. "And she felt like...I don't know."
His comlink beeps, and he turns to speak to it. Rex turns to look back at Fox and the woman.
There's something hanging at her waist. Rex can see a glimpse of it when the long hem of her shirt shifts a bit as she walks.
It looks a lot like-
They go down some steps, and Rex cannot see them anymore. He glances back at Anakin, and at his lightsaber, for once securely on him.
He had seen correct. Rex is sure of it.
He is also very sure that the woman is not a Jedi.

AU If Clone wars Anakin traveled into the future and met post season one rebels Ahsoka:
Anakin: [Poofs into existence mid air and falls flat on his face onto the ground]
Anakin: Ow, that hurt! [Lifts his head up] Obi-Wan? Whe- [See’s Ahsoka]
Ahsoka:
Anakin:
Ahsoka:
Anakin: Snips? Wow I must’ve hit my head really hard, you look old, and like really depressed. Like Obi-Wan when Cody drags him to the med bay.
Ahsoka: [Tears up but continues to silently stare]
Anakin: Uh, Snips?
Ahsoka: Shush, I’m waiting for the force vision part where you yell at me for failing you and leaving the order.
Anakin: Force vision? Snips you could never fail me- WAIT YOU WHAT?!
Ahsoka: Hm?
Anakin: How are you so calm??? My Ahsoka would be bouncing off the walls by now.
Ahsoka: I don’t feel anything. Too much has happened for a lifetime and I want to call quits. I’m for sure not your Ahsoka.
Anakin: Oh force. Where’s Obi-Wan?
Ahsoka: Probably Dead.
Anakin:
Anakin: What in the name of the force happened here?!
Ahsoka:
Ahsoka: . . .
Ahsoka: You.
Anakin:
Anakin: To be fair that actually checks out.
Ahsoka: If you’re not a force vision could I get a hug please? The last person I hugged was Rex before I died for the second time.
Anakin: Of course- Wait, WHAT?!

Entry of the Gladiators
Remember my Fake Sith AU? Yeah, so I got around to writing it.
I started writing this around a year ago, planning to finish and post for an event. I never finished. So. Here's what I have so far, and let's hope I can get around to finishing it at some point lmao.
The year is 7939 CRC, and Obi-Wan is one-hundred percent not moonlighting as a Sith Lord with a drawling accent and a linen suit. And Anakin surely isn't pretending to be his unhinged Sith second. And Ahsoka definitely isn't actually a vigilante. And Cody absolutely isn't enjoying the chance to manage an entire set of organized crime rings. And Rex certainly isn't seducing the half-mad head priestess of an evil cult. Totally.
Chapter 1: Wake Me Up (Before You Go-Go)
Fun fact: I went to upload the first chapter of this fic, which I started writing a year ago, and I forgot I had a title for the chapter, so I just slapped something together to put into the chapter title slot.
Then I went back to my planning document and it's the same damn chapter title.
I am very predictable.
----------
Anakin wakes up with a pounding headache. This is, against all wishes, a very familiar feeling for him. Unfortunately, it has almost never been a result of something fun, like alcohol. He’s much more likely to wake up drugged and chained by his enemies or recovering from grievous injuries than, say, boozing up.
Hondo incident notwithstanding, of course.
(Besides, Obi-Wan got drunk too. That makes it his fault.)
As he catalogues his remaining fingers and extremities past the pain in his skull, he hears others shuffling nearby. The Force isn’t warning him at all, so they’re probably friendlies.
There’s a quiet groan a few feet away, high-pitched, that is almost definitely Ahsoka.
When he sits up, it’s to more pain and the ugly little realization that Ahsoka must also be in pain.
Obi-Wan’s voice cuts in. “What did you do, Anakin?”
“Nothing!” Anakin protests, his own voice loud enough to set his headache off. He runs through his most recent memories in hopes of uncovering actual wrongdoing. He doesn’t seem to actually have any memories past entering the possibly-Sith-in-origin temple, though. That’s… a bad sign, in part because they are now outdoors and looking at a completely different sky. “You went into the sketchy temple, too. I don’t remember doing anything that could have knocked us all out, especially not knocked us out and transported us to what’s probably a different planet.”
“Sky’s orange,” Ahsoka notes, getting unsteadily to her feet. There’s a moment where it looks like she’s about to fall, but Rex is closer than Anakin, and reacts fast enough to steady her.
Anakin finally gets a full look around. His master, his padawan, his captain, and Commander Cody, who isn’t Anakin’s in any way, except as a friend, but that’s not an exclusive group, because ‘his friend’ could mean a lot of—
He’s getting distracted.
“If we’re lucky…” Obi-Wan says, stretching his back with an awful cracking noise. He eyes the sky with distaste. “If we’re lucky, the cloud cover will dissipate and let us see the constellations when night falls. We can figure out where we are then.”
“Anticipating hostility from locals, sir?” Cody prompts
Obi-Wan shrugs. “Don’t want to hedge our bets on there being locals. We aren’t where we were, and we aren’t in another temple, either. Most planets in the galaxy aren’t actually inhabited by sapient species…”
“But that’s mostly because most of them don’t have breathable air, isn’t it?” Ahsoka asks. Anakin pats her between the montrals, almost like Obi-Wan used to ruffle his hair when he was this small. Well, smaller. Ahsoka at fifteen tolerates this much better than Anakin at the same age.
Ahsoka at fifteen is, however, the same height as Anakin at thirteen, when Obi-Wan was still ruffling his hair.
“You’re right, Ahsoka. Since this planet does have breathable air and some vegetation, the chances of sapient habitation are relatively high,” Obi-Wan agrees. “So, we’ll see how it goes. If we can find civilization that isn’t hostile to us, we might get off by nightfall.”
Anakin has a feeling that’s a bit too optimistic.

Ashes To Ashes, Dust To Dust
by Livsy
Star Wars/Complete/Chapters: 13  Words: 36,193
In which Old Ben has time travelled back to the clone wars era, but twenty years on Tatooine have left their mark. Anakin notices.
//
A tender, heart-wrenching piece. Really leans into Obi-Wan’s position as Anakin’s father figure. A very satisfying read for Time Travel Fix-It fans. Good pacing and SUCH good hurt/comfort. This story doesn’t shy away from the choices Obi-Wan and Anakin have made, or the consequences of their actions, but it isn't a bashing fic. Theres interesting parts about Tatooine culture as well.

In which Dogma babysits a cadet
Summary: There is a cadet onboard. Dogma finds him a little strange, especially with how much the little trainee keeps staring at him...
[I had a very big urge to write this for some reason... I might do more with it if I feel around to it, but for now have the littlest bite of a drabble]
---
There is a cadet onboard. The mere sight of him startles Dogma in a way that is honestly quite unbecoming of a fully trained soldier such as he. But, in all fairness, the newly promoted sargeant hadn't expected to see such a youthful face staring up at him with such interest, when he'd gone to the captain's office to deliver the logistics report. Commander Tano was already enough of a shock. And she was 15 standard.
Were he not before his superior officer, he might mirror the expression the cadet was regarding him with. Stare down at the cadet with just as much (if not more) curiosity as he sees cast back at him. Instead he keeps a professional stoic look, and wordlessly side-steps the oddity in the room.
"Inventory is all accounted for sir. We are ready for departure in the next 48 hours." He refrains from asking about the cadet. It's honestly none of his business, and he even makes sure not to stare any more than he already had on his way in. Instead handing the datapad to Rex with some modicum of pride for keeping his composure.
"I..." The captain falters. Then frowns as he stares at the flimsywork he's just been handed. And then he looks at Dogma with a raised eyebrow. "Didn't I assign Jesse to do the inventory work?"
"The lieutenant pulled me aside and requested that I take his place, sir." Quite literally too. He'd unexpectedly grabbed Dogma by the pauldron and practically dragged him to a side-hall to make the shift alteration, while he'd been on his way to the mess for late-meal. "I was told he had an urgent matter to attend to."
The cadet is watching them. Those huge inquisitive dark eyes seeming to focus more on Dogma than the much older clone. It's unnerving to some degree, but he doesn't put more thought into it than he has to.
If anything (and he's going back on his own words and giving this more consideration than he should), this might be a good learning experience for a trainee of his age.
Shadowing assessments were rare and far between back when he was still in this kih'vod's age group, but they were great for a more hands-on approach in terms of specialized tasks. Visual guidance for future conduct within a battalion was not the worst of any experimental module the Kaminoans could put them through.
It's just a little odd they'd send a cadet to shadow the 501st before they were set to depart towards their next campaign. Dogma's first campaign at that.
Turning his attention back to the captain, Dogma can't help the downward twitch of the corner of his mouth as he notes the displeasure on the more seasoned soldier's face.
"I'm sure he did..." The blond cast a quick annoyed glance towards his personal datapad, before shaking his head and looking back up at Dogma with an almost apologetic look. "Thank you, Dogma. Logistics is very important work, and I'm glad someone is putting in the effort. Just... Don't let Jesse hustle you like that next time... He has a tendency to push desk work onto Shinies who don't know any better."
At that, Dogma couldn't help but frown.
"That's rude..."
Startling, both Dogma and his superior officer turned towards the cadet. The trainee looked put-off, or perhaps even insulted, as he was currently pouting up at the two.
"Pardon?" The captain asked.
"Giving your chores to someone else just because you don't wanna do them... That's rude..." The cadet repeated himself, head slightly tilted as he regarded them with a look that reminded Dogma a lot of how Tup would sometimes look at him when he thought he wasn't getting the point of whatever conversation they might be disagreeing on.
"I... Yes, that's correct kih'vod." The captain nodded in agreement. Dogma had to agree as well. He didn't particularly like the idea of others or himself shirking work unnecessarily. After all, a battalion was a well greased machine that had to be well maintained by everyone. "Jesse calls it a less aggressive form of hazing... I call it his rare bouts of laziness..."
"....I don't like Jesse." The cadet decided with a huff, little arms crossed over his chest. "He sounds like a jerk."
"The lieutenant has a rather... Complicated personality." Dogma tried to interject, even if in all honesty he didn't particularly like how abrasive Jesse could be at times. Especially when he'd noted that this particular side of him only came out when he was around.
To his knowledge, he hadn't tried to trick Tup in the same way he had him. And Tup was just as new to the battalion as he was...
"Complicated my left sheb..." The cadet shockingly spat out, which caused both the sergeant and captain to splutter in surprise.
"Show some respect to a superior officer!" The clone with a chevron shaped tattoo barked in horror at the trainee's rudeness. What were they teaching cadets these days?!
"This one must be one of Alpha's newest sheb'ikas..." the captain murmured to himself before shaking his head. A weirdly fond smile on his face. "I... Dogma, I know you've already had something you weren't meant to do shoved onto you but... This kih'vod has been shadowing me all day since his... Arrival... Here... Onto this ship... Uh... Could you maybe take him to the mess? I have a meeting in less than 30 minutes and I still need to... Err... Figure some things out before we depart to Umbara."
"....Yes sir. I can do that sir." He had been going to the mess before. And the captain most definitely shouldn't miss a meeting just because he had a tiny shadow. One who was nowhere near ready for a tactical meeting with such higher ranking members of the GAR.
"Thank you... I uh, if anyone asks about the kid. Tell them I'll explain things later during the mission briefing." Rex smiled uneasily. Dogma doubted there would be much explaining.
"Yes sir." The sergeant nodded solemnly, swallowing down the bitterness that came with being unceremoniously relegated to tubie-sitting duty, and then turned to look at the cadet. "Come along..."
"Ok!" The cadet at the very least didn't argue with the arrangement, seeming almost a little too eager to leave the captain in favour of following Dogma around. He couldn't imagine why.
They walked quietly through the halls towards the mess. The sergeant occasionally having to make sure the cadet was following, as he seemed to be stopping to look at every little thing they came across. A stray mouse droid, a group of chatting troopers wandering off to do only stars knew what, even the lighting fixtures on the walls seemed to intrigue the trainee.
It's as if he'd never seen something as basic as a semi-automated facility. Which was a very absurd notion. Kamino might be one giant laboratory of a city, with long white halls and repetitive minimalist decor, but surely the architecture there wasn't so tediously monotone that an automatic door held all that much magic to behold...
The cadet was strange. Very strange. From that odd little spark in his eyes whenever he was looking at Dogma, down to the way he dressed...
He'd never seen a cadet in civvies before. The blue short-sleeved shirt and tan shorts were oddly exposing. The shoes looked at least somewhat durable, but those socks were brightly colored and most likely wouldn't survive much wear and tear.
There was also a non-standard weapon kept in a tiny holster. One that was so nonthreatening that no one had bothered to disarm him. An electro-slingshot wasn't worth the trouble of incurring a young Fett clone's temper tantrums.
"Be on your best behaviour." Dogma found himself warning as they neared their destination. "It wouldn't do you well to be disrespectful around natborn officers. Or any officers at all, come to think of it..."
"I'll be good." The cadet shrugged nonchalantly.
"Very well. I am sergeant Dogma. I'll be chaperoning you until the captain is free from his current duties." He offered, feeling that they might as well introduce themselves properly if they'd be spending some time together.
"It's very very nice to meet you Dogma!" The cadet smiled earnestly. So much so that it took him slightly aback. He'd never had someone greet him as warmly as this. Not unless they were Tup. "I'm Tulpa!"

(Working on the next chapter of Gave My All, thought I'd share the latest section and provide zero context):
Thankfully, the rest of the trip passed with relative peace, although Bly couldn’t help but wince when that same cadet kept popping up in his shadow. Apparently young Stance took ‘any brother who wants the same is welcome to join me’ as permission to constantly keep Bly in his sightlines - possibly genuinely due to his commitment to reuniting with his Jedi, but more likely, Bly suspected, as a passive aggressive kriff you to his older brothers.
Styles continued to glower whenever their paths crossed. Grey just seemed to grow more resigned by the hour.
“Either the captain’s going to stuff his shiny in a sack to keep the kid from going anywhere when we get to Yavin, or I’m going to have both him and the commander tagging along with me, I’m not sure which yet.”
Rex snorted at him over the holocall. “You say that like the Jedi aren’t going to find us first.”
Bly eyed the small blue figure of his little brother for a long, suspicion-filled moment. “What do you know that I don’t?”
“Just because we’re keeping a low profile doesn’t mean I haven’t been checking the newsfeeds. Palpatine’s dead.”
“...what?”
“Apparently,” Rex said with visible glee, “Some Jedi operatives did a bit of digging, and Amidala called an emergency session of the Senate to air out his dirty laundry for all to see. Bastard decided to take off, tried to kill her on his way out, but Windu was waiting and got him first.”
A deep, shuddering breath went out of Bly, and he sank back in his seat. “What the kriff?”
“I’m going to take a wild guess, and say several million of our minds getting dumped back in time had an effect on the Force.”
“What, and the Jedi got pulled along too?” But even as he said it, Bly’s mind whirled faster than hyperspeed, considering the implications. The Jedi hadn’t suspected Palpatine the first time around - hadn’t liked him, sure, but distaste for politics and a Chancellor visibly snatching up emergency powers didn’t exactly translate to ‘Sith Lord plotting his total takeover’. But to investigate now- to expose him, to kill him, before the war could even truly get rolling-
Something changed.
The Force is connected to all things, Bly, Aayla told him once. In the same way an atmosphere covers an entire planet, and the slightest flicker in one spot can cause a storm thousands of miles away. Our actions may seem small and inconsequential in this moment, but they can add up, build and grow, until the entire galaxy is changed because of them.

Hiii me again! This time I’m here to recommend this amazing Cody fic written by @varpusvaras (all of his fics are amazing I recommend them all but for now this one specifically) called Like Suns Rise and Stars Fall. I felt so many emotions throughout this fic, I laughed, I cried, I had to jump up from where I was sitting and run around in excitement, it was A M A Z I N G!!! Got me right in the feels and the whole story is phenomenal! I don’t wanna put any spoilers here just know it is wonderful and the way Cody is written just makes me so happy
Gahhh I could go on forever about this fic j love it so much, but I’ll stop myself here with a final I love this fic to death and its creator for writing it <333
THE TIME TRAVEL AU THEME CONTINUES hehe. And honestly, I'm always down for literally any AU where Order 66 didn't happen, so I'm already invested. But this description promises IMMENSE amounts of angst, and as someone that adores Cody's characters, I know this will hurt me, personally, but also, I'm clinging to that "Angst with a Happy Ending" tag because we all love angst, but I also live for happy endings in these trying times haha. Thanks so much for sending this in!
Participate in Fandom Friday to show your favorite creators from this week some love! :)

Catch me thinking about my Rex time travels back AU right after he dies.
Part 1 , 2 3 for those wondering
I'd like to imagine the one thing Rex would feel, above anything else, is guilt. He sees all those he couldn't save when helping Ahsoka survive Order 66, men he knows will fall in battles that have yet to come, men who survive only to be preyed upon by the Empire, and men who fade away into nothing after realizing they'd murdered Jettii or Padawans, they murdered children
He holds the guilt of not knowing why Tup died, the guilt of holding Fives as he dies so close to saving them all, the guilt of watching Anakin spiral without being able to see why the first time.
He feels like he's drowning in it half the time, or being suffocated every time he sees a face he'd lost so long ago. Having been alone for so long, and now being thrust back into the height of being able to turn and see vod for miles is killing him, and eventually he cracks.
Captain Gregor is out on assignment with his Commando squad when he's ordered to rendezvous with the Negotiator once his team has finished. He's only ever seen the ship once, but he and his men are a bit excited, and after several days they finally have the chance to do so. Their enthusiasm turns skeptical when they're first ordered to the medbay, where Marshal Cody is awaiting them with a look on his face that sends the Commando's into overdrive.
"We will explain everything when you wake up."
Suspicions run high, but when they emerge from some sort of surgery a few hours later, they all agree on the same thing.
The dream they all shared was gone for the first time in their lives.
They get a confidential run-down on the chips, and while the news was upsetting, Cody assures them they are well on the way to figuring out this whole mess. Gregor is asked to stay when they're dismissed, and Cody reveals that he's needed to help another.
"Captain Rex was the one who somehow traveled back here, and he needs you. I know you don't have a framework for your friendship, but Rex does, and he needs all the friends he can get right now."
"if you say so sir." Gregor wasn't sure what to think, but knew that Cody wouldn't be this concerned if this wasn't a pressing issue, so he's shuttled to the nearby hidden Resolute.
Rex is holed up in his quarters, and at first doesn't respond to Gregor entering his personal space. The man looks haggard, and Gregor can only wonder what horrors the man has lived through only to come back to the beginning, so the Commando sets his bucket on the singular desk and plops himself beside the other.
"I may not know you right now, but I'd like to." Gregor hums when he notices Rex looking over, and gives a full grin. "C'mon, lets get you in the fresher, you stink."
"Says the man who never used one." The retort slips out like Rex has said it a million times, and Gregor barks out a laugh.
"Does sound like me." The smile Rex gives doesn't reach his eyes, but it's a step. "Now shoo, I'm willing to share my special ration."
"What is it?"
"Something called joopa meat."
Gregor pretends not to hear the crying in the fresher as he messages for his team to join the Resolute, and Rex seems a lot less tense when he emerges sometime later. Sitting among Gregor and his unit is the first time Rex hasn't focused on his guilt, sharing stores of their time saving clones and eventually settling down, and in turn hears some exploits of the group that impress the 501st captain quite a bit. Rex eventually dozes off against the other captain without a moments hesitation, and while Gregor was unsure of what to do, notices that Rex doesn't tense when he's scooped up and deposited onto the bed.
"Well...not what I was expecting to do today." There are some murmurs of agreements as his men settle down for some rest, eventually leaving Gregor to watch over them all.
He doesn't know Rex yet, but can't wait to learn more.

Chapter 3: What the Hell is that Accent
Road trip!
--
"So," Obi-Wan says, dry and very obviously displeased. Anakin cringes a little. On the inside, of course. He can’t look scared in front of his student and Rex and Cody. “I suppose we’ve locked ourselves into this... farce.”
What a horrible word for it. Accurate, but still. Anakin doesn’t like that. He tries to argue. “You’re the one who started doing an accent in front of Ventress and her master.”
Obi-Wan pins him with a look. Anakin subsides, and manfully ignores Ahsoka laughing at him.
“I like the farce,” Cody volunteers. "It's a very good... farce."
Obi-Wan shoots him a look of absolute betrayal. "I trusted you.”
“I’m sorry that I have been unable to reward that trust, sir,” Cody says, prim and proper. “Shall I put on some clown makeup? Since it is, after all, a farce, we'll need a jester, and I’m certain that Skywalker and yourself will be too busy showing off your pretty faces to care for painting them up."
Anakin perks up, almost despite himself. "You think I'm pretty?"
Ahsoka snickers.
"You're adorable," Obi-Wan deadpans. Anakin kind of wishes Obi-Wan could say this without being sarcastic. That would be nice, probably.
Instead, he pulls himself up straight, locks eyes with Rex, and says, "so, Tatooine?"
