Summary: A fluffy self-indulgent gay!Hermione x lesbian!Reader :) (But Reader can be any gender you want tho tbh)

A/N: This is a Hermione x Reader no one asked for but I did. So I did it. This inspired by a tiktok I saw and I now can't find. Enjoy :)

You originally did not want to join Dumbledore’s Army, but it didn’t take much to convince you after Hermione had been so excited about starting the club. It's cute , you thought to yourself while Hermione rambled on about all the things you would learn.

Today’s lesson would be learning how to cast the Patronus charm. Harry had warned them that the spell was going to be difficult, and yet here you were, next to Hermione trying to learn how to do a spell that sounded way too advanced for a couple of fifteen-year-olds.

Of course, Harry Potter would know such an advanced spell, he and his friends always seemed to know more than anyone else in their year. Hermoine was always telling you about all the things she had done, the best would be when she talked about all the things Harry had managed to do. You always were so fascinated to hear about what The-Boy-Who-Lived did, Hermione would always speak so enthusiastically about their adventures, it enticed you to just listen to her talk for ages. Her eyes would always sparkle with wonder, she would get so passionate she wouldn’t even notice how animatedly she would get. The little crook in her brow she would get when she couldn’t remember something. When she would grab your hand when it hit her, and it would just sit there, oh how you wished you could hold her hand forever.

“Alright!” Harry turned to you after seeing Hermione successfully perform the spell, an otter dancing around them and whispfully disappearing. “Why don’t you have a go, y/n? Just think of something that makes you happy!”

Your eyes moved from where Hermione stood and looked at Harry. You closed your eyes and imagined all the adventure Hermione had been on, all the one’s she had told you about with Harry and Ron, you always felt so happy when she told you these stories.

“Expecto Patronum,” you tried, only a small wisp left your wand. Quite pathetic,you thought to yourself. You were friends with one of brightest witches at school, you studied together and spent almost every chance together just talking.

All of your happiest moment were with her, you were always with her in those moments that you felt were the most blissful moments you could think of. Here you were, not just in one of Hermione’s many adventures at school with her friends, but with her looking at you with that same sparkle in her eyes that you adored so much. She had one of the most beautiful smiles on her face, it couldn’t even come close to the one’s she had when telling a story, because this one was for you, a smile just for you in this moment.

“Expecto Patronum!” twirling your wand you tried again. The wisp from moments ago turned a fully formed patronus, a small furry little creature that looked so soft to the touch floated around you two. You watched as the creature floated around Hermione and placed a soft hand out as if to pet it and the creature came back to you before disappearing back into a wisp.

Her hand was still left in the air, even though your patronus was gone her hand still reached for something. You looked at her, her eyes still sparkling, and held out your hand for her too.

“You have no idea how happy this makes me,” Hermione looks at your hands clasped together, and looks back at you. Her eyes sparkling, you stared back at her, her eyes weren’t sparkling because she told a story she liked, her eyes sparkled because she was looking at you.
