Hail The Horned One
Hail unto the Horned Lord, Keeper of the sacred flame, Lord who meets us at the crossroads, and shakes our hands to lead us. He leads us to Sabbath, He leads us through the dark, He leads us in the dance. Horned One, we watch how you shift, You are the infinite one, who changes with the seasons, From the Green Lord of Oak and Life, To Man In Black, The Holly King and Sabbatical Goat, Stag, Bull, Ram, Goat, Goat, Ram, Bull, Stag, Eternal Horned One, In your many names, I am devout to you.

HAPPY EASTER
Matthew 28:1-7
1. In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3.His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4. And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

how would jason be as a dad?
Jason Todd - Father Edition
Tumblr media
do i think he will be like anakin/darth vader, despite his writing (mostly) being depicted as DC's tragic fallen sidekick? no
he will probably be incredibly apprehensive the entirety of the pregnancy (if he impregnates someone)
but will read every single parenting book in the gotham library
and he will learn every nook and cranny about various parenting styles
PTO parent
threatens karen w a knife bc she was intimidating/using fear tactics to scare the kids
"why dont u pick on someone ur own size" - jason, at karen, at approximately 8:57pm
reads a book a night to his baby
and doesnt miss a night. ever.
self-identifies as a DILF
(until he gets hit on by women. then he cringes.)
teaches the importance of boundaries, self-respect, and self-defense
yes, hes a karate dad. his kids take karate and he refuses to elaborate further
doesnt understand cocomelon
and bans it from his roof
but loves cookie monster and gonger's food truck adventures
sings lullabies to his babies
but the lullabies are alice in chains or metallica hits
he even bought matching black sabbath shirts for him and his baby
HOME COOKED MEALS FOR HIS KIDS
and those really cool homemade lunch kits you see on pinterest, with the star shaped sandwiches and dinosaur carrots
will literally dropkick anybody who hits on his kid
"they are a fucking child, karen. why are you making comments about 'waiting till he's 18'? what're you gonna do, RISE from the grave and snatch my child? fucking crypt keeper."
"Oh, shit. Did you hear that? This creep wants to hit on my baby, who still shits herself and can barely hold her head up. How about I take you on a date, and show you exactly what I'd do to you if I catch you makin' those comments about her again, hmm?"
doesnt care about being a single dad, and doesnt use his kids as pawns to flirt with others
he trusts duke the most (aside from alfred) with his kids
then tim, then damian, then dick.
"what the fuc- he's 11!1!" - dick, when walking in on damian babysitting jason's child
"yes, and you stick your escrima stick wherever it fits. stay humble." - jason
bruce is the second best grandpa in the world
alfred is the world's best pop-pop
and jason goes to him for parenting advice, or when he's feeling doubtful about himself as a father
and it usually ends up with him in tears and alfred comforting him because he's a better father than he's ever had

what do you think about people copying your art style?
hi anonymous, notes from church;
Tumblr media
to your question: about the same answer as the pinterest but more apathetic depending on how general you mean -- there is something incompatible-seeming to me regarding any-one interested in art to deny the aspect of influence in how we motivate ourselves; ie: often i see artists, animes, books, sentences, games, that just make me go "wow [they] did something amazing, i want to try to do that in the way they did" & i:ll imitate it pretty flagrantly, whether it be attempting to write cormac-like without punctuation, or outright ripping language from KJV bible, or pulling up an artbook for gate keepers and studying how the artist draws hairs and eyes, or looking at some AI amalgamate artwork of religious art and wanting to make something similar -- everything is just there to be eaten (dungeon meshi quote roughly, i watched the first episode day before last) and eating is the right of the living;
but, that:s all absconding from the Personal aspect of seeing art that seems extremely close to mine, and the weak personal part of me often feels a little hurt/wounded to see that, barring any credit: cause (like any other) i like recognition and even if some-times i make things lame, tepid: i still have a prideful spark that says mine! ~but i also think this isn:t a good-part of me, but it:s my flawed person-part of me. so: mostly i don:t care, even if it sometimes hurts me on a pride level; i feel worse if someone gets attacked over being influenced by me; but i:d feel absolute worse if i learned that they received money to fund the Warhammer Night Lords 40k Kill Team Fund off of work i made and i received nothing -- there:s nothing worse; there:s no hell deeper; there:s also no heaven higher than receiving money to fund the Warhammer Night Lords 40k Kill Team Fund but it:d be pale without the possibility of hell on the other side, too, you know? that:s art;
happy sabbath, by the way, anonymous: it:s hand-held sabbath when the 8th and seventh-day calendars overlap: yay, verily; consider observing and (if left handed) adopt a simple vow of chirality to only write mirrored excluding legal documents and when sinister-direction would hamper purpose (like addressing envelopes, packages); (sitting in church today i realized i struggled immensely visualizing how to write 'forwards' in my head, after writing backwards for so many years it finally flipped completely in my head); take care

Salvation for Gentiles
1 Thus said Jehovah: `Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness, For near [is] My salvation to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'
2 O the happiness of a man who doth this, And of a son of man who keepeth hold on it, Keeping the sabbath from polluting it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.
3 Nor speak let a son of the stranger, Who is joined unto Jehovah, saying: Jehovah doth certainly separate me from His people.' Nor say let the eunuch,Lo, I am a tree dried up,'
4 For thus said Jehovah of the eunuchs, Who do keep My sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:
5 I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, A name age-during I give to him That is not cut off.
6 And sons of the stranger, who are joined to Jehovah, To serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, To be to Him for servants, Every keeper of the sabbath from polluting it, And those keeping hold on My covenant.
7 I have brought them unto My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices [Are] for a pleasing thing on Mine altar, For My house, `A house of prayer,' Is called for all the peoples.
8 An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: `Again I gather to him -- to his gathered ones.'
9 Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.
10 Blind [are] his watchmen -- all of them, They have not known, All of them [are] dumb dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 And the dogs [are] strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they [are] shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them to their own way they did turn, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:
12 `Come ye, I take wine, And we drink, quaff strong drink, And as this day hath been to-morrow, Great -- exceeding abundant!' — Isaiah 56 | Young's Literal Translation (YLT) Young’s Literal Translation of the Holy Bible is in the public domain. for the top 5 ask post, whats your top 5 albums??
Oh damnnn you're torturing me with this one
Okay so... I've always had a hard time qnswering stuff like this when it comes to music (fav bands, fav songs, fav albums etc) because I just if you ask me for top x anything there's at least thrice as many that I think deserve to make it into the list, and also the reasons why I feel like each of them deserves to be on the list sometimes are so different that they're completely incomparable with each other, and which ones I consider to be the top of the list constantly changes depending on what I'm feeling like on any given day.
So I'm going to do this.
Top 5 albums that have fundamentally altered my brain chemistry (a.k.a. significantly influenced my music taste)
Blue Öyster Cult - Fire of Unknown Origin
Tumblr media
Helloween - Keeper of the Seven Keys Parts I and II (I know they're two albums but I like to consider them a package deal lol)

Nanscough: A Gothic Scarlet Hollow AU
Nanscough (Cornish: Scarlet Valley) is a village and civil parish in Cornwall. The local tin mine, owned by the prominent Cough (pronounced ko) family, was once prosperous and drew many to the area. A few Afro-Caribbean families even settled in Nanscough a century ago and are now assimilated into local life. But the tin trade began to decline earlier in the century following a collapse in Nanscough Mines, and the town’s fortunes fell along with it. The parish is also home to the Seven Maids, local megaliths said to be a group of girls turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath. Lately the area has been plagued by reports of creatures from Cornish lore – giants, pixies, Tommyknockers, phantom cats, and even the Devil’s Dandy Dogs. Nanscough will not give up its secrets easily….
Mr./Miss/Mx. MC Cough: MC grew up in genteel poverty with their mother, the late Vivian Cough, who fled her ancestral home under mysterious circumstances. They are visiting Nanscough for the first time in their life to attend the funeral of their aunt, Mrs. Anne Cough.
Miss Tabitha Cough: Iron-fisted manager of Nanscough Mines and mistress of Nanscough Hall. Cousin to MC.
Dustin: A badger living in a dresser in the Hall. Son to Dustin Mam. Speaks broken English with a strong Cornish accent.
Dustin Mam: Another badger living in a dresser in the Hall. Mother of Dustin. Also speaks broken English with a strong Cornish accent.
Frou-Frou: Nanscough Hall cat. Speaks with a French accent.
Miss Stella Trelawney: Former lady’s companion to Miss Cough, current lady reporter investigating stories of the Devil’s Dandy Dogs. Owner of Gretchen. Friend to Cora and Rhys.
Gretchen: Stella’s lapdog. Speaks the Queen’s English.
Miss Cora Forsyth: Afro-Caribbean shopkeeper, aspiring naturalist, and lover of Gothic tales and penny dreadfuls. Friend to Stella and Rhys. Sister of Miles and daughter of Sybil.
Mrs. Sybil Forsyth: Town midwife, herbalist, and shop owner. Mother to Cora and Miles. A fixture of Nanscough.
Master Miles Forsyth: Indifferent Afro-Caribbean youth. Lover of boy’s adventure tales and little else. Son of Sybil and brother of Cora.
Mx. Avery Bell: Afro-Caribbean barkeep at the Bell, Nanscough’s only public house. Nibling to Winifred. Liked by all, but close to no one.
Mrs. Winifred Bell: Widowed Afro-Caribbean landlady of the Bell. Aunt to Avery. Makes the best pasties. Another town fixture.
Mr. “Duke” Calloway: Local farmer. Claims to be descended from British royalty, hence the nickname. Father to Beau. Distant cousin to Julius.
Mr. Beau Calloway: Local farmer. Large adult son to Duke. Distant cousin to Julius.
Mr. Julius Tremaine: Local farmer. Scoffs at his family’s claim to royal blood. Distant cousin to Duke and Beau.
The Miners: Come from all over Cornwall and even parts beyond.
Mr. Oscar Gutierrez: British-born Spaniard schoolmaster. Father to Rosalina.
Miss Rosalina Gutierrez: British-born Spaniard girl. Daughter to Oscar. Friend to Alexis, Miles, Rebecca, and Zane.
Morsel: The Gutierrez’s cat. Speaks broken English.
Sheriff Hammet: Affable town sheriff. Suitor of the Widow Bell.
Deputy Teague: Overly-serious sheriff’s deputy. Owner of the Lord Mayor.
Deputy Penrose: Calm sheriff’s deputy. Takes ninepins far too seriously.
Jimmy: Deputy Teague’s dog. Affectionately known as the Lord Mayor. Speaks with a slight accent.
Scraps and Daisy: Local dogs and leaders of the Dog Militia. Speak with accents.
Vicar Daniel: Local vicar with sparsely attended sermons. Strange and off-putting. Husband to Mrs. Jane, father to Flora.
Mrs. Jane: Vicar Daniel’s wife, mother of Flora, keeper of sheep. Forces weekly social calls on Tabitha.
Miss Flora: Daughter of Vicar Daniel and Mrs. Jane. Claims to have befriended pixies at the Seven Maids.
Dr. Joan Kelly: One of Britain’s first female licensed doctors. Formerly of London by way of Ireland. Claims to be the widow of a sea captain who died during a transatlantic voyage. Mother to Rhys.
Mr. Rhys Kelly: “Consumptive” artist. Bought to Cornwall by his doctor mother to “recover his strength” in country air. Extremely Byronic. Son to Dr. Kelly. Friend to Stella and Cora.
The other youths: Miss Rebecca, Miss Alexis, Master Zane. Friends to Miles and Rosalina. Probably up to no good.
Mrs. Nancy: An ill-tempered and entitled miner’s wife. Mother to Miss Rebecca.
Mr. Samuel Wayne: Nanscough Hall groundskeeper, currently neglecting his duties. Probably not the host of an inhuman consciousness.

The Society for the Suppression of Vice continued to do its purifying work, hounding those who broke the sabbath, inveighing against dancing, marching or holding boat races on the Lord's Day, prosecuting printers who sold risqué books and shopkeepers who sold obscene snuffboxes and bringing to justice the authors and publishers of "infidel" literature. Amusements were a particular target of their scrutiny. Shows and fairs tended to corrupt morals, they insisted, while games of chance led easily to serious gambling and graver sins. The Society prosecuted tavern owners and brothel keepers, though they could not suppress the demand for drink and sexual companionship that kept them in business. Still, in keeping up their campaign of moral influence the Evangelicals succeeded in driving the demand underground, and, gradually, in changing the face of Regency England. Society would never be completely cleansed, but its surface appearance was becoming altered. Open license was slowly starting to disappear. Though furtive vice would remain, it would carry the stigma of furtiveness. The prickings of a pervasive moral conscience were widely felt, even by those who had no particular religious leanings and whose worldly habits were deeply ingrained. The way people talked, the way they dressed, their very ways of thinking were bring altered. Serious-mindedness was ceasing to be a peripheral social current; it was becoming the mainstream.

Summer has gently taken the hand of Autumn, and the dance of leaves and stormy weather has begun. What many see as the beginning of the end of the year, is instead a celebration of a new year to come. Humankind and animalkind are born in ignorance of what lays beyond. But something greater than us has told us, and showed many, that there is a real life beyond, so God began days at sunset, before the darkness, and he began a new year before the darkest of the year, during its eve, autumn. Of glory, fame, planets, galaxies and riches, we are the fruit he was looking for, we are the treasure. You or i may or may not have been among the many called for leadership in the government of God (the kingdom Jesus was talking about), and you or i may or may not have been among the few chosen for a leadership position, but we are the fruit, the multitude. We were never left behind. I often ponder the intricacy of the Time War in heaven among the powerful beings that created such insanity and pain for us humans, and likely other people on other worlds too. Maybe some petty Being really was arrogant and jealous of our existence? But here we are, possibly at the end of the horrors, watching the world litterally be burned down by our own goverments' elite. We who do not wallow in selfishness, nor wallow in sadism, nor wallow in false pride for superficial things and fleeting fame, we are the fruit, the jewels of God, the treasure, and sometimes the only light our fellow human beings ever see. Let us not fall for the false version of hell, where people burn forever, as if a wise God would do such an infantile, sadistic thing, however, Jesus did say if, like the third resurrection found in the book of Daniel, of the dead who are too wicked, if these people do not repent, their bodies and even their souls will be utterly destroyed in the valley of hinna, where the trash and food scraps were taken to be burned, were the worms and fire were so constantly dumped into, that it was a dump fire that never had a chance to go out. Until, the city fell to Rome, and Rome fell to Goths, and the city was abandoned and finally the garbage dump too, the garbage dump of ga hinna. (valley of hinna). The book of Revelation changed the teachings of Jesus and Daniel about the afterlife and what hell really was for, and when it came out, the early church leaders tried to stop its insanity from being added to canon, to the bible. But by then, the unmerciful Romans had commandeered the church, even changing the last day of the week to sunday and killing the evening sabbath keepers. When faced with truth, beauty, and sanity, try not to choose the options the world's evil elite offer, which are lies, ugliness, and insanity. We won't all make the wisest choices, but we do get second chances, in heaven, and third chances, and four, and five and six, and 7 times 70... Why? Because we are the prize, we are the treasure of God, not fame, glory, or riches, and so we wait for our sane and loving God. Who knows, maybe we will one day view God and the angels and helpers as treasures and jewels, they are, you know.

Matthew 28:1-10 KJV
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: (Eze 1:4-14, Dan 10:5-6, Rev 1:14-16)
4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. (Isa 64:5)
10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

Haruto: Oi, Igarashi.
Ikki: senpai?
Jiiko: You know him, Ikki?
Haruto: I heard you're aiming to go pro.
Ikki: Ah, you've heard about that too?
Haruto; How about we go one-on-one, ask one of your friends to be the goal keeper.
Ikki:Okay?
Ikki: Jiiko, can you be the goalee for a bit?
Jiiko: Sure, who is he anyway?
Ikki: He's my senpai as a Kamen Rider.
Jiiko: Senpai? Wait there are more Kamen Riders?
Ikki:There are more than the ones that fought the demons and giff.
Ikki: A few of the doctors at Seito Univiersity Hospital are Kamen Riders, and so is Inspector Shinnosuke Tomari.
Jiiko: I had heard of them.
Jiiko: I didn't think there were more.
Haruto: Kamen Riders have existed since 1971, kid.
Haruto: Igarashi's the most recent Kamen Rider
Ikki: Jiiko will be our goalee, senpai.
Haruto: It's showtime, keep up kouhai.
Ikki: Hai.
-from afar-
Takeru: What if, if some of us knew how to play soccer, maybe Haruto-san would have a lot of exercise.
Nitoh: You have to admit, that would help burn the sugar he's eating all the time.
Emu: Maybe, maybe not.
Emu: He could have just asked us if we wanted to play.
Emu: I'm sure there's something that could let us learn how to play soccer immediately.
Kadoya: Another universe of Gaim have the Zawame Riders as Soccer athletes.
Shinnosuke: That doesn't mean that the ones we have here know how to play the sport, Kadoya.
Kadoya: True.
Takeru: is this really for the best?
Takeru: Letting Ikki-kun forget about Vice?
Kadoya: It's fine.
Kadoya: Vice is still there with Ikki, he won't be killed.
Kadoya: Unlike with OOO and Ankh, or Mach with Chase, Vice is living inside Ikki.
Takeru: I suppose you're right.
Haruto's probably gonna be given a run for his money by these youngsters, no offense XD Haruto was apparently a pro-player himself before the Sabbath went and upended his life, but it's been ten years since then, or maybe more (because it's not very clear how much time passed between him becoming Wizard and the show's start), so he could've gotten rusty just from not playing at that level for a long time.
And yeah, I think the other Riders wouldn't have minded playing a pickup game with Haruto if he wanted it... I guess it may never have crossed his mind though? (Tbf it may erupt into chaos pretty fast, lol)

SATURDAY OR SUNDAY SABBATH?
What makes people think that people who keep the 4th commandment of God aren't doing God's will? Also, who in the world thinks that the 7th day of the week Sabbath keepers are SDA? And why is it that the Sabbath Day keepers can Biblically prove the 7th day Sabbath and the 1st sabbath day keepers can't Biblically prove that the 1st day is the true sabbath? Historically, early church history bears this out to be a fact that Emperor Constantine changed the day of rest from Saturday, - - - - The word Saturday can be traced back to the Latin Sāturnī diēs (literally “Saturn’s day”). That led to the Old English pronunciation and spelling Saternesdæg, followed by the Middle English Saturdai before English speakers settled on Saturday. www.dictionary.com/e/saturday/ - - - - The name "Sunday", the day of the Sun, is derived from Hellenistic astrology, where the seven planets, known in English as Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus , Mercury and the Moon, each had an hour of the day assigned to them, and the planet which was regent during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday - - - -
Tumblr media
The majority of Christian churches currently preach that Sunday, the first day of the week, should be observed as a day of rest and worship. However, it is widely acknowledged and understood that the early Christians kept the seventh day holy. How did this alteration occur? History demonstrates that a political-religious system did not reject the Sabbath of Scripture until decades after the apostles' deaths, replacing it with the observance of the first day of the week. The quotes that follow, all taken from Roman Catholic sources, freely admit that there is no Biblical justification for the observation of Sunday and that the Roman Church was the one who modified the Sabbath to become the first day of the week. Roman Catholic Confessions James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers, 88th ed., pp. 89.
"But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify." Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174.
"Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept? "Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority." Daniel Ferres, ed., Manual of Christian Doctrine (1916), p.67.
"Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feasts and holy days? "Answer. By the very act of changing the Sabbath into Sunday, which Protestants allow of, and therefore they fondly contradict themselves, by keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the same Church.' James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore (1877-1921), in a signed letter.
Tumblr media
"Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer yes. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the Church change the seventh day -Saturday - for Sunday, the first day? I answer yes . Did Christ change the day'? I answer no! "Faithfully yours, J. Card. Gibbons" Catholic Virginian Oct. 3, 1947, p. 9, art. "To Tell You the Truth."
"For example, nowhere in the Bible do we find that Christ or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be changed from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of God given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the 7th day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday because it has been revealed to us by the[Roman Catholic] church outside the Bible." Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Converts Catechism of Catholic Doctrine (1957), p. 50.
*"Question: Which is the Sabbath day? *"Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day. *"Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday? *"Answer. We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday." Martin J. Scott, Things Catholics Are Asked About (1927),p. 136.
"Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday to Sunday .... Now the Church ... instituted, by God's authority, Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by the same divine authority, taught the doctrine of Purgatory long before the Bible was made. We have, therefore, the same authority for Purgatory as we have for Sunday." Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extension Society (1975),Chicago, Illinois.
Tumblr media
"Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts: "1) That Protestants, who accept the Bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man. "2) We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages and a thousand other laws. "It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which there is nothing in their Bible." T. Enright, C.S.S.R., in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, Feb. 18,1884.
"I have repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, 'Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.' The Catholic Church says: 'No. By my divine power I abolish the Sabbath day and command you to keep holy the first day of the week.' And lo! The entire civilized world bows down in a reverent obedience to the command of the holy Catholic Church."

Protestant Confessions
Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a sabbath.
Baptist---Dr. Edward T. Hiscox, a paper read before a New York ministers' conference, Nov. 13, 1893, reported in New York Examiner , Nov.16, 1893. "Of course, I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history . . . . But what a pity it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!"
