connor majored in history and later pursued a phd

his lectures are always big events bc he's astronomically hot but also really passionate about his work and research

speaking of, he's the perfect combination of nerd and jock bc he also used to play hockey in hs and college but had to stop bc of a leg injury

ziio is a journalist and works mainly from Boston but when connor is old enough she starts traveling more and pursuing international stories

connor got his love for research from her

at one point her research got her in hot water with the Templars but she got away bc the guy tasked with killing her fell in love w her

aunt Jenny absolutely dotes on connor, her only priorities in life are spoiling that sweet boy rotten and clocking haytham's tea

grandpa Edward embarrassing everyone at the Christmas table and grandma Tessa who can't look at her son without crying

shay is haytham's head of security which is totally why he needs to be w haytham 24/7 and lives with him and what a preposterous assumption to make about your father, Connor!

elise is jenny's protegee and later becomes haytham's pa, they get along superbly well and geek about the same books (and cheese)

[Some kind of AU] Edward, Haytham, Shay and Raton trying to steal a ship or smth. Cut to Haytham being bullied by his father, his son and his subordinate because he's the only one incapable of steering a ship. Who knew that Assassins-Templars divergences would be so easy to set aside?

Haytham, teeth clenched: Shay, you're on thin fucking ice-

Shay: Did you say something, sir? I was distracted by how terrible that knot is

Bonus: Jenny laughing her ass off in the background because even she knows the basics of sailing

Jenny absolutely knows how to sail because she spent months with her father sailing back to England. His crew taught her everything she needed to know whenever Edward was busy and Edward even let her take the helm twice during their journey.

To be completely honest, Shay didn’t want to join the trio bullying Haytham but, dear god, the man could talk his mouth off with the amount of criticism he had on his son’s sailing (which was fine).

Edward is actually the first one to start snarking about him.

To be completely honest, Edward was the origin of the entire thing because he goaded Haytham in manning the helm.

Haytham wasn’t bad at it though.

Not exactly.

It’s just clear that he was never one to actually give all the orders and there might be some kind of pressure in it because his father (dead father) was staring at him the entire time, judging (Edward really wasn’t) his every move.

But the worst part.

The absolutely worst part of this entire thing was…

The four of them (Jenny included) bonding over sea shanties.

And Haytham…

Haytham was starting to hum them.
