I keep recommending these so I thought I'd put them in one post to link later. These are games for you and your buddies to play on Discord or any group chat platform where you can post pictures.

In almost all circumstances, it is best that players use ||spoiler tags|| or otherwise hide their answers until everyone finishes, so that everyone playing can post without being influenced by other answers, or subconsciously modify what they want to say based on what their friends are saying.

Games to explore magical practice

Witch Counsel

The purpose of this game is for each Counsel player to explore their own beliefs about how and when magic should be employed.

One person is the Villager. All other players are on the Counsel. The Villager presents a problem that they want to have solved with magic. The Villager is understood to be seeking a magical solution.

Examples:

How can I find my runaway cat?

What can I do to help my dying plants?

How do I curse my enemies into ruination?

Each person on the Counsel provides their advice. However, advice does not need to be magical. Each Counselperson should honestly answer if they would use mundane, scientific, religious, magical (etc) solutions - or if their advice is to do nothing.

Unlike other games, this game has no right or wrong answers.

Spellcrafting

The purpose of this game is to explore spellcrafting and matching what is on hand to intent.

One person is the Asker. It may be best that the Asker is a person more experienced in spellcrafting and witchcraft.

All other players are Witches. Each Witch is understood to have basic household tools (needle and thread, scissors, vessels for holding liquids, kitchen knives, and so on). However, the Witch does not have access to any other ingredients - this means no candles, no kitchen spices, and so on.

The Asker provides an intent or necessary task that must be accomplished with magic.

Examples:

Obtain a pay raise at work

Find a rare book for the collection

The Asker will then give a list of a few ingredients that the Witches have to complete this task (alongside their household tools).

Examples:

A dozen red roses

A figurine of a honey bee

A large, healthy, living basil plant

Each Witch must then combine the ingredients given with their household tools in order to craft a spell that will accomplish the intent.

Unlike other games, this game has no right or wrong answers.

Variations:

Someone chooses the intent, but someone else chooses the ingredients

All, or certain, household objects are taken away and only specific tools are given

Ingredients given are restricted to a certain category (such as only minerals)

Vibe Check

All players are encouraged to only play this game with trusted friends, as some people are fucking assholes who are like "lmao I wanted to see if you guys could pick up on this really mean spirit I bound into the object" and then will get all mad at you when you have a panic attack and need to log off, like it's YOUR fault for linking up with a haunted object, even though we all agreed we were just going to do the FOUR ELEMENTS, SHAUN.

The purpose of this game is to attempt to accurately read energies within a photographed object. It is especially important to ||spoil|| answers, or even DM them directly to the Object Holder.

One person is the Object Holder. They will select some object in their possession which has been enchanted with a magical energy. This magical energy may be from a full enchantment, such as with spellwork, or it may be a temporary charge by performing energy work.

All other players are Readers.

The Object Holder must be absolutely aware of what energy is within the object.

The Object Holder will take a photograph of the object and share it with the Readers. Each Reader will attempt to psychically survey the object, and will post their ||spoiled|| answers, or if agreed upon, will DM the Object Holder.

Once all players have participated, the Object Holder will publicly share the type of energy implanted into the object.

Notes for Readers:

Especially for beginners and those working to develop psychism, what types of energies are allowed should be heavily limited. For example, only using the four/five elements, or only allowing spell types of protection/prosperity/joy.

New students of psychism will note that their biggest learning curve may not be grasping energetic impressions, but rather understanding how they personally experience energy. Readers may heavily benefit from keeping their own notes on each impression.

A few rounds to warm up may be necessary.

If Readers in the group all appear to be picking up random, unrelated impressions, it is more than likely that the object was not correctly charged, or, that the Object Holder has wards that prevent divinatory prying.

Notes for Object Holders:

This game is a chance to practice enchanting and charging objects.

You should only use objects that have been very recently fed or charged (same day or same hour).

Don't forget to check and pause wards which may limit divinatory prying.

Always use care and common sense: never expose Readers to energies you think might be unsettling or harmful.

It is often helpful to Readers to give them details of how the object was energized or enchanted, or any nuances you yourself find in the energy (e.g., a more lava-like fire, as opposed to a cozy hearth fire). This helps Readers examine their own experiences.

Welcome to my roleplay blog. Here is the general info: private/ selective /mutuals only / 20+. I am not affiliated with any fandom. I am not pro or anti ship. I ship what I want & that's the end of it. If you have a problem with that or genderbending characters you are free to leave. I don't need to be loved by strangers on the internet. I like to keep my dash & blog tight-knit but I'm not against meeting new people if we vibe.

About the mun: My name is Wolf. I am 25+ she/her/they/them. I have a learning disorder, dyscalculia & dyslexia. Please be patient with me. I tend to switch between past & present tense & write in a stream of consciousness. Spelling mistakes & grammar mistakes are likely on my end, as this isn't my strong point. (but I try) I love writing regardless & use it as a form of escapism, but also to meet cool people with similar interests. I'm always happy to chat or plot with mutuals. I'm very easygoing & I care about the comfort of my writing partners.

My writing tends to deal with themes of identity, gender, sexuality, trauma, mental illness & sometimes suicide. I will tag these themes to the best of my ability with the main tag #usfw (unsafe for work). That being said, it is possible themes such as homophobia might come up in my writing. This will never be glorified or encouraged as its purpose is to explore the negative effects it has on my muses. If you have any concerns you are more than welcome to message me privately.

Anyone younger than 20 who follows/interacts with me will be blocked. I am not comfortable roleplaying with anyone under the age of 20.

The main muse of this blog is Vash the Stampede from Trigun. If you do not specify a muse in asks & tagged content I will answer as Vash.

This blog is mobile based. 99% of the time I am on mobile. If I can’t read your rules, muse list, writing, etc. because of small or fancy font I most likely won’t follow.

If I follow you that means I am interested in roleplaying with you. Think of it as me giving you permission to write with me & send me things.

You do not need to ask to turn asks into threads. I encourage this. If I send you something it means I am eager to write with you.

I am fine with shipping but I will not force someone to roleplay a pairing they do not like. I ask that you do the same in  return.  

Smut in roleplays will be asked to be continued on Discord if possible. This applies only to smut. Kissing, making out, etc. will be present here.

I am selective with OCs due to bad experiences in the past. Please  do not pester me if I decline an offer to roleplay with your OC. It  isn’t anything personal. This is for my own comfort. If you're an OC blog & I follow you first or follow back then that means we're good to write.

I will roleplay almost anything except for the following: Do not  ask me to have my character rape or violate yours. Relationships must be  consensual. No  underage ships or sexual relationships with minors. No dead baby jokes, severely harming, abusing or killing children & animals. I do not wish to read or write detailed scenes of birth, abortions, miscarriages, genital mutilation, or anything too graphic regarding medical procedures, injury, piss, vore, or extremely graphic body horror.  (light body horror is fine)

I will not tolerate: drama or call out posts, anon hate, racism, any kind of homo or transphobia, bashing people for their religion, politics, ethnicity, or beliefs. I tend to unfollow people who post too much ooc negativity, or politics of any kind. Roleplaying is my escapism & I’m not here for any real world drama.

These rules are a constant WIP and I may modify or change them at any time This rp blog is selective and private, 18+. This means I only interact with mutuals and may be a bit picky about who I’ll follow so I don’t get overwhelmed. I do not rp with anyone under the age of 18, 21+ is preferred. Mun is 30+ and goes by Lumen. I'm MST but work nights so it will probably end up looking like I never ever sleep :)

Askbox is always open, we don’t have to be mutuals for me to answer asks. Right now anon is allowed, but I reserve the right to disable that if needed.

General RP etiquette applies. I allow minor godmoding to progress the plot (eg you can assume if you hand my character something he takes it. or not, whichever. you get what I mean)

In character actions have in character consequences.

I don’t match length or expect length to be matched. Generally I am a para to multi-para writer, reserving one-liners for spur of the moment crack threads. I only ask that you don’t give me one-liners in response to para+ threads. My reply length tends to change based on what's happing in the thread organically. Sometimes I use special formatting, small text and icons, based on my mood and if I remember to do so.

I prefer plotting over winging it, at least for initial interactions. Once we've interacted some then I'm more comfortable winging it.

Feel free to turn asks into threads. If possible, please make a new post when doing so. If not, I'll do so when I reply.

Mun doesn’t equal muse. Fiction is fiction. Alastor is a bad person and I'm not going to sanitize him, and I tend to enjoy exploring darker themes. Depicting a thing is not the same as romanticizing it.

I don’t have any squicks worth mentioning, and I don’t need anything tagged. Generally I only tag by request. I don't tag canon-typical things like violence, cannibalism, gore. NSFW, if it comes up, will be tagged NSFT and placed under a cut.

Dead dove content will be on this blog, most likely untagged I have no problem writing questionable subjects but I do my best to stay within my partner's comfort zone for individual threads. Policing gets you blocked. If you follow me and your rules say you're not comfortable interacting with someone who writes content I am comfortable writing with no caveats, I may reach out and/or hardblock for both our sakes.

Please hardblock me if you don't want to interact. I'll probably think it was a tumblr glitch or forget and accidentally refollow if you only softblock. No fuss, no mess, just hardblock for any reason at any time. If you softblock, I may hardblock so I don't accidentally refollow.

Ship friendly but Alastor is aroace. That is not to say that ships cannot happen, but there'd need to be plotting and discussion as to what it'd look like. Check the About page to see some headcanons regarding shipping with him. The blog itself is NSFW friendly, though Alastor will likely not react favorably to any overtures out of the blue. 

Duplicate and OC friendly. Sort of crossover friendly? I likely won't be taking him out of the Hazbin universe since it feels weird having him without his radios and overlord status or putting him in another fandom and going 'yes, he is this powerful dealmaker and radio man that everyone has definitely heard about including your muse!'

At this time I don't do exclusives, but I do accept mains, which only means that I tend to reply to them more frequently/first. I only do this if we vibe really well both IC and OOC and have been writing a bit.

I don't often post memes or starter calls but that doesn't mean I don't want to interact! If I follow, I wanna RP. Easiest way to get something going is just DM me or send a random ask.

Intro.

Howdy, I’m Willow or Soleil! You'll see that I use Tabasa from END ROLL as my faceclaim. As I'm a full-time undergrad student, my activity is irregular, but I tend to stay fairly present even if it's just as a lurker. My Discord is available for chatting, but I will only give it out to trusted individuals.

1. VERY Crossover and OC friendly! Duplicates are welcome, too!

2. I am mutuals only, though I’m fairly lax on who I follow/follow back. The reason for me being mutuals only is that I heavily favor accessibility; if I can’t read your carrd/theme, I will softblock or hardblock you to avoid interaction. If I don’t see our rules and preferences meshing well, I’ll hardblock to avoid any conflict! Feel free to softblock/hardblock me as well if that’s the case on your end too, but if there’s a specific issue you have please come talk to me! I’m super friendly, I promise, and I’d prefer to come to a mutual agreement!

3. Please take a look at each muses’s bio for more details on their ship status! I am very open to multiship and shipping in general; so long as our muses have chemistry, I’ll likely vibe. That being said, some muses might have restrictions based on their character or sexuality, so it’s best to look at each muse. Please also take a look at the relations tab for other restrictions, such as potential exclusives. 3a. I’m open to having you as a main if we RP a lot or talk extensively about our muses OOC! Exclusives are rare and more circumstantial based on friendship or dynamic; I do not default to limiting my ships. Of course, I respect others' rules on exclusivity. 3b. I am a dark/toxic dynamic enthusiast, and shipping to me does not necessarily connote a healthy romance for that reason. I will of course require discussions for that kind of thing, but note that I'm absolutely not opposed to the occasional dead dove, or even (noncanon) drabbles, asks, or threads where my muses are killed or worse in those scenarios.

4. I openly encourage and am very comfortable with duplicates. I am also very willing to have duplicates interact, particularly for Stelle! I think there's a lot of very fun potential to be explored there. Due to the inherent multiversal nature of HSR, as a general rule my HSR muses are aware of the multiverse (except Gepard, because of Belobog's isolation from the galaxies) and will react accordingly. You will not see any (again, bar Gepard) surprised by another version of themself. 4a. Please check this post for more information.

5. I will not answer asks if I feel that they interfere with plot. Obviously, I’m not inclined to answer asks that make me uncomfortable. This includes Magic Anons. I will not participate in these, so please do not send them to me.

6. I will also not pressure myself to answer every single ask I receive or commit to every starter. I delete asks, a lot, especially if they're spontaneous/unprompted. This is nothing against you if I don’t respond to your ask; my motivation can be rather fleeting and unpredictable, and though I love unprompted asks I sometimes struggle to maintain the motivation to answer them. I will absolutely let you know if I feel I need to drop a thread. 6a. If you don’t specify which muse you want me to answer for in an ask, I may not answer it.

7. Mun is of age, HOWEVER I will not be roleplaying anything explicitly smut-related on Tumblr (though sexual HC memes might be shared for my adult muses depending on my mood). Some things might get a little spicy, but at most I will fade to black. Gore and other disturbing scenarios are more than okay. Angst is tasty. That being said, see the next rule:

8. I’ll do my best to tag potentially triggering topics, but if something comes up that I haven’t tagged properly, do let me know! I tag as #trigger tw and #trigger cw.

9. Respect my muses’ power. I do play some very powerful characters, including gods. I will not metagame nor godmod, and all I ask is that you do the same; that being said, pushing my muses can have consequences, especially for the most dangerous ones.

10. Communication is key! Please talk to me for anything, whether it be potential plots, current ones, headcanons, active threads, etc etc. If you have questions or concerns, please please reach out.

11. As a selective blog, I won’t be roleplaying with non-roleplay/personal blogs! Sorry! If you’re a personal blog and you don’t have an RP dedicated sideblog, please do not interact with my posts. I will block personal blogs that reblog my content on sight.

003. just as a matter of personal comfort, i’m not going to tolerate egregious incest. i know asoiaf is rife with canonical incest but there is a serious problem in this fandom with romanticizing it and treating it as if it’s forbidden romance (which it is not). what i mean by egregious is mostly the adding of incest where it does not and should not exist (ex. luke/aemond, jace/aegon, oc strong kids/green kids, aemond/aegon, etc.) also the aging up of minors to participate in these kinds of relationships is just unacceptable to me. i think it’s gross, we won’t vibe if you write things like this, and i’m just going to hard/soft block as i see fit. 

004. this is a hobby. it’s supposed to be fun. i go through bouts of high muse/activity where writing anything and everything is easy followed by periods of time where maybe only one thread is striking my fancy to periods where i can do little more than shitpost ooc. time taken to reply to a thread does not equal my interest or level of investment. i just have adhd. if you think i’ve forgotten about something, feel free to poke me about it.

ii.   i will write muses of all genders ( though i do have a slight preference for women and non-binary muses ). i’m open to writing opposite all genders as well, i do tend to be a little hesitant about mlm ships, due to having been on this hellsite for too long. it will kind of depend on our chemistry ooc. generally i love plotting and chatting to see if the vibes fit beforehand. generally speaking i very much looking for writers who like to express diversity in all aspects through their writing. 

iii.   i’m not looking to write either heavily nsfw or taboo interactions. i mostly wish to focus on slice of life plots and will refuse any subjects that don’t really fit that genre. if you’re looking for somebody to write predominantly nsfw interactions with as well as write about triggereing or taboo topics, we just won’t be a good fit.  

iv.   activity will heavily vary depending on how busy i am at the current moment. i’m a student, so during exam season etc. i tend to be much more busy, i’m also not the fastest writer so if you’re looking for rapid fire interactions, it’s safe to say that will be rare. i will always try my best to update my writing partners on what to expect though. if you’re patient with me, i will be patient with you as well of course and we can always chat even when we have little to no time to write.

House Rules

ONE.  Conduct yourself kindly in the Theatre. Thoughtless guests annoy patrons and distract actors by lighting matches, catcalling, spitting, chewing gum, godmodding, autohitting, vagueblogging, leaving posts overlong, &tc., during the performance. 

TWO.  The safety of our patrons is of the utmost importance. Please prepare yourself, as some heavy and mature themes may be present, each tagged appropriately and upon request. As such, all interaction must be 18+. Sterling is of age and will act accordingly. Additional accessibility needs will be also accommodated on request. Flashing is autotagged.

THREE.  As per union recommendations, performances are restricted to when both director & muse are available and able. Activity is spontaneous and runs in spurts, based on interest and energy. Asks are received on a semi-selective basis, while threads are highly selective. Mutuals may receive Discord-based threads upon request. 

FOUR.  Do not ask or remind me about threads, please. It destroys my muse quickly. I know what you’ve written is there, I promise, and I dearly appreciate you for it. Threads may be dropped without warning, but also picked up just as quickly without warning. You are never under any expectation to follow up with my replies. We’re about the vibes first and foremost. I welcome interaction from all of my mutuals, be it single or multipara, new or established writers/muses, dialogue-heavy or descriptive, muses from all canons, including original canons, and all walks of life. However, I do expect literate and thoughtful responses. Matching length is not required, just be logical about it. 

SEVEN. While I generally do not send passwords, rest assured I have read up on all your most pertinent information, including rules, policies, biographies, headcanon tags, appropriate trigger tags, and more, before following. I expect you to do the same.

EIGHT. It is your blog, how you handle it is up to you. I do best when I have the ability to filter out posts tagged for drug & substance use, suicidal ideation & acts, and abuse & consent issues. Some content makes it impossible for me to safely follow you. These include (but are not limited to) incest, underage, and some religious topics. These are personal triggers that require careful management. If you write in these realms frequently, with or without diligent tagging, I may have to soft- or hardblock you for my own safety. Hello there! As we head into March (what??!?) a couple of things were brought up in the first checkpoint that I thought might be useful for everyone to see.

Is it okay to talk about my work in progress publicly?

Event rules prohibit posting actual bits of your fic publicly before final works are posted, but you’re not prohibited from talking about your fic in general - mainly because I wanted people to feel free to talk about their works on the Discord, however much they’re comfortable with. THAT SAID. Proposals will be listed without author names attached to encourage artists to select works based primarily on content rather than who’s writing it.

Would it be possible for authors to submit more than one work?

This actually something I’d considered doing in the planning stages! Either to allow artists to pick from a selection of works from a particular author, or to let authors choose one work to have priority and have any subsequent entries available after priority selections are made. Organizational challenges aside, I ultimately decided against this because the ratio of authors to artists is already concerning. Even if half the authors who signed up don’t submit a proposal there would still be enough for each artists to select two (or more!) of them.

I would like help with content/tagging/summarizing/etc for a sensitive and/or potentially triggering topic.

There are a few options available here.

An artist has contacted me directly about making art for my F1 Big Bang fic. Can they be assigned my proposal?

To make things fair to all artists, claims for works will be done on a first come first served basis on a specific date after all proposals have been received and posted. That said, once the event is over there’s nothing prohibiting them from creating art for your fic even if they weren’t your assigned artist.

I’m a little worried my fic won’t get picked because it’s gen.

There are lots of people out there who like gen or less shippy fics, artists included. Pls don’t stress over it. <3
