NEW IQ MATRIX: Shift Your Identity [#0501]

The Shift Your Identity IQ Matrix explores what it takes to successfully transition from “who you are” today into the person you would like to become tomorrow. Each of us is limited by the identities we choose to adopt. This process of adoption can even take place at an unconscious level. In fact, your identity might not even be all your own doing.

Your self-identity is often reflected in your insecurities, habits, beliefs, actions, and traits. These identities you choose to adopt can either limit your abilities or expand your possibilities.

This map walks you through a process that will transform you at your core. When you adopt a new self-identity, everything changes. You essentially become a new version of yourself as you begin to encapsulate a different set of beliefs, habits, actions, and behaviors. Working through this process of shifting your identity could completely transform how you see yourself and how you interact with the world.

No. The term “shifting“ is not from the DID community.

People are claiming that the otherkin community appropriated terminology from the DID community. The supposed appropriated terminology? Shifting. No. The term shifting has ZERO origin from the DID community. You know where the term shifting originated from? The therian community.

Early therian community terminology was HEAVILY inspired by myth and folklore related to werewolves and shapeshifters. The term “shifting” is actually one of the still used terms in the community that shows this strong early influence, actually. Because “shifting” came from the word “shapeshifting.”

When early therians started talking about their experiences they only had references to physical shapeshifting in folklore and fiction, but their experiences weren’t physical. Thus when they start talking about their experiences they had to loan words from that base of knowledge while the community struggled to find its own footing and found its on lexicon. Thus talk of shapeshifting in dreams became “dream shifting,” shapeshifting of the mind became “mental shifting,” etc by virtue of people simplifying words into short terms.

And all of this creation of terminology  took place on Alt.Horror.Werewolves (and its offshoot chat rooms) circa 1994-1996. Not related to the early online DID community AT ALL.

I think it would actually be considered omnigender with multigender being the 2nd stage pokemon version. An evolution path, if you will.

I think I'm a man in the way I've heard a lot of nonbinary people say they're a woman - just as a reflection of their experiences. or when their rights are being taken.

I definitely identify with trans men and bi men and disabled men and working class men. I get their struggles and feel they echo my own life experiences. I think I socialized myself as a man by proxy, almost bc I was so afraid I was one.

Thank you so much! I do very much look forward to seeing your inspiration sprinkling about my dashboard but my ability with the spicy means that anything remotely so requires several weeks work whereas last night's was written as a fever dream. I'm working on a much longer and hopefully filthier addition but given I'm prone to needing a giggle and walk around every time someone gets their ass rimmed or choked into climax, it does take a while! I always appreciate when someone takes the time to say they enjoyed my nonsense.
