Introduction: Adrien Agreste

Hey fellow miraculers! Here’s Adrien and a little about how he’s going to be portrayed in this AU. I’ll list the characteristics and/or problems that I saw in the show and then delve into how I’m going to take things here. Most of the issues I found in his character is just that his issues aren’t really talked about, but the subtext of a great character is there and he definitely has main character potential

1. His outfit

This is honestly a budget issue/creating recognizable characters for the show, but like all characters, I want to see more Gabriel Agreste fashion on him.

2. Love interest or main character?

In the show, it’s said that he’s the main character, but he doesn’t appear as such. A lot of his emotions, struggles, and life isn’t delved into as much as Marinette, yet he has so much potential. He’s a teenage Rapunzel trapped in a tower waiting for his ladybug in shining armor to come save him. I want to explore not only his fears of losing his freedom, but also his experimentation with rebellion and standing up to his father.

3. Adrien as a Model

In the show, his life as a model isn’t talked about really much, he just thinks it’s boring and it’s a nuisance to him. However, with some research, I discovered how horrible it can be. For one, Adrien would become desensitized to personal space and being touched without permission, putting him into awkward positions in his job and even with classmates. He would get taken advantage of a lot easier. As a model and celebrity, Adrien would also experience Parasocial Confusion — which is when a celebrity has difficulty distinguishing between genuine personal connections/love and relationships/infatuations of fans. This would make relationships with him incredibly difficult.

Additionally, model assault is a huge thing in the fashion industry. Unfortunately, because Adrien is such a pushover and people pleaser, this puts him up to be a prime target for abuse that he probably thinks is just normal (yes this happens, I promise, it sucks.) I want to see a huge character arc with him learning about personal boundaries and learning how to enforce them, with his friends teaching him what is Ok and what is not socially.

4. His personality before his mother dies

If I’m not mistaken, I don’t think we ever get much insight into how Adrien is like before Emilie “disappears.” From what we know about her, she is a princess and an actress, which brings me to my headcanon:

Emilie brought Adrien up on broadway shows, fairytales, and romances — this would explain why he has an “old fashioned” ideology that “boys save girls” (S3E3). This would also explain his gentlemanly behavior— like he was literally written/taught his behavior by a princess (he was. Her name is Emilie).

Inspired by musical theatre and the arts, Adrien began to take dance classes, where he meets Chloe Bourgeois — Emilie is to blame for this, and Gabriel would rather him take fencing, but he gives in. Chloe and Adrien become childhood friends through dance and being partnered often is how they became so close. Based on his “breakdancing” moves as Chat Noir, I think it would also be reasonable that he took other forms of dance too, like hiphop.

As Emilie started to get sicker and sicker, his ambitions for dance and the arts faded. He began fencing like his father wanted to and abandoned dancing. He and Chloe still remained close friends — as this was the only friend he was allowed to have. Gabriel knew Chloe’s dad, after all.

Although Emilie was portrayed to be kind, beautiful, and caring, it’s easy to paint memories of a person better than they actually were. Although she was those things, Emilie also was dramatic, hotheaded, and emotional. If Adrien did something wrong, she’d be quick to scold him harshly, but then just as quick to apologize for her outburst. Toward the end of her life, she was also rather absent from Adrien’s life, as she didn’t have much energy to take care of him anymore. It was difficult for her to take care of him as she got more and more sick, and he would often try to be the best little boy he could because he didn’t want to be a burden on top of her sickness. I mean remember, the last 3 years his dad had gotten him a freaking PEN for his birthday. This occurred when Emilie was still alive.

The person who raised him the most was Nathalie — as his mother became weak, and Gabriel became absent

5. Mental health and coping so he isn’t akumatized

Headcanon that to keep himself from being akumatized, Gabriel has him talk to a counselor who prescribes him multiple medications that work a little TOO well. Meaning? Let’s just say that he starts to become numb to feelings and that it’s just another way for his father to control him — His rebellion streak is going to hit hard yo.

Despite these methods, he’s still going to get akumatized — don’t worry, no one is safe.

His mental health illnesses insinuated from the show include depression, ADHD, parasocial confusion, abandonment trauma, social anxiety disorder, attachment disorder/trauma (which leads to lack of boundaries), and to add some spice, probably claustrophobia (or just feeling trapped). This poor boy has so much he needs to shift through and I’m excited to guide him on an arc to healing.

Conclusion

I think Adrien is my favorite character simply because of how there are certain aspects of him that I heavily relate to — plus he’s such a kind soul who has every right to turn into a villain but stays a sunshine golden retriever boy. It takes a lot of strength and determination to go through so much and be good in the end. I can’t wait to write him in this AU and give the boy the healing and happiness he deserves. There’s so much more I could talk about with him, but this is just the beginning!

You come to a dead end and your stomach drops as the footsteps are slowing down, approaching you hastily.

The soldier swings his sword, the blade grazing your skin as your arm reached up to defend yourself and knocking you to the floor with a loud yelp.

“Y/N? Y/N! Is that-“ an all too familiar voice calls from down the hall, taken aback seeing you on the ground before jumping into action to protect you.

Raph

“Y/N! Are you ok? I’m so sorry, we shouldn’t have left ya! I didn’t even realize-“ Raph kneeled beside you, grabbing your arm gently and observing it, his face held nothing but concern.

“ Raph, shhh it’s fine, I’m fi- oh!” Raph swiftly picked you up to carry you away.

“We better get ya to Donnie so he can check out that cut. Even though I handled it, like a boss.”

“Yeah, you really did.” You rested your hand on his plastron, leaning up and planting a small peck to his cheek. “Thank you for saving me, Raph.”

He was not expecting that, a shiver ran down his spine and his body heating up at the gesture. Raph felt like his heart might explode in his chest, he couldn’t even look at you right now but he couldn’t help but smile giddily.

“err…yeah, no problem!”

Mikey

“Oh mi gosh! Are you okay?! We were so worried!” Mikey helped you to your feet, slinging your non-hurt arm over his shoulder to help you walk. Even though you didn’t really need it…

“Yeah, I think so…Mikey?” He looked up at you, evidently still worried, “thank you for rescuing me.” You leaned in, giving him a small kiss on his deep green cheek.

“Of course! I-“ The realization hit. Michael blinked a few times with sparkling eyes, a genuine, loving smile spread across his face. “Anytime! Now, let’s get back..”

Donnie

Expect a lecture.

“Y/N! Are you hurt?” He kneeled beside you, grabbing your arm and sliding down his goggles to observe the small cut.

“No, Donnie, I’m fine.” Donnie let out a breath of relief.

“What were you thinking?! I told you not to wander off!” The change in attitude was concerning but you gasped in offense.

“You left me! I didn’t wander off!” Donnie helped you to your feet and you brushed yourself off.

“I-…That is not the point!” Oh, but it was.

“Look, I’m really sorry you had to come save me, Donnie, but I’m ok!” You knew he was just worried, even if he didn’t show it. He rolled his eyes, crossing his arms. “Ok! Ok.”

“Come on, let’s go.” You grabbed his hand, pulling his arms uncrossed. You kissed his cheek quickly and softly, “Thank you, Donnie.”

Donnie just stood there frozen, his jaw dropped in shock. He slowly reached his hand up to touch where you kissed him, feeling the heat in his face. He couldn’t believe it. He was overwhelmed, he felt so many emotions all at once.

“Donnie, let’s go!” “Right…sorry.”

Leo

Probably forgot he was saving you in the first place.

“Oh yeah! Leo-1, foot cla- oh my god, Y/N!” He rushed over to you, kneeling and placing a hand on your shoulder as you sat up.

“Ugh, thanks, Leo…” you groaned, pushing yourself up all the way to stand.

“Yeah, kind of a hero, but it’s whatev..” He smirked playfully, inside he was relieved that you were ok. “Shouldn’t your knight in shining armor get a little reward?” He tapped his cheek, winking at you.

You rolled your eyes, but gripped his shoulder as you complied and kissed his cheek. “We should go find the others, Leo.”

He stared at you with wide eyes, he never expected you to actually do it but hey, he wasn’t complaining. Definitely would brag to his brothers later. He was screaming on the inside.

“Are you just gonna stand there and gawk?”

The RFA w/ MC who loves sewing

What? A post? From me? You're crazy, there's no way that's happening.

I'm trying to get back into writing for this blog and recently started replaying Mystic Messenger because I want poor sleep 💕 Basically I'm letting my fixation fuel my writing because... the sentence ends there.

Enjoy these headcanons! I thought they turned out really cute~

(FYI: I used fem!MC for these headcanons; girlfriend/wife/etc.)

Yoosung:

He found out in the RFA chatroom when the two of you were talking about games and hobbies.

Yoosung had been excitedly telling you about the armor set he had gotten in his latest LOLOL binge, sending a picture and saying how he wishes he could wear cool armor in real life.

“I can make it for you”

“MC… what???”

And this is where he discovered your passion for sewing and your side-hobby of cosplay

He had a little experience with sewing, he could sew on a button and fix small tears thanks to his high school “home ec” classes, but you’re talking about making entire outfits and costumes from scratch.

THAT’S. SO. COOL.

He is amazed and thoroughly impressed by your talents, even moreso after you send some pictures of your completed works.

It’s amazing that you can make your own clothes, but he’s definitely super impressed with your cosplays. They’re insanely detailed, matching perfectly with the source material. He often says that your cosplays look better than the source material. They’re true works of art in his eyes.

Praises your talents nonstop.

Talks about it all the time to everyone. Every one of his friends knows how skilled his girlfriend is. And the other RFA members know tenfold.

After hearing you talk about your projects, Yoosung decided to join the sewing club at school in the hopes that he could help you with your amazing work! (Not that you need help, he really just wants to participate in something you love)

What ends up happening though is him sitting beside you at the sewing machine and getting lost in your working rhythm. (“Yoosung, are you paying attention? I thought you wanted me to give you tips?” “S-sorry, MC!! You’re just… really good at this… Like magic!”)

There’s no way he’ll be able to catch up with your skill anytime soon, so you compromise with him. You’ll make the costumes, but he has to cosplay with you~

Zen:

He found out just before one of his performances.

The costume he was wearing was a bit snug but worked fine in all the dress rehearsals, so he didn’t think much of it at the time.

You were backstage with him before opening night, ready to tell him to break a leg and give the audience a show to remember, when you saw the rip in his jacket.

It was a seam rip behind his left shoulder. Not the worst, but clearly noticeable.

Curtain was in ten minutes.

“Hyun, take off your costume.”

“Jagyia, I know I’m irresistible, but can you wait until after the show?”

You pulled a flat black case from your purse and opened it, revealing a small sewing kit. You had everything you needed for a sewing emergency. Pins, buttons, snaps, scissors, an assortment of colored thread. And needles, of course.

You fixed the rip and strengthened the seam with four minutes to spare.

Zen asks you about it after the show (which went perfectly, thanks to you) and you explain your sewing hobby to him. Mentioning that you always have your little sewing kit with you for emergencies like tonight.

You show him pictures of the projects you’ve made and entire outfits you’ve designed and created from scratch. A good chunk of your wardrobe are pieces you’ve made yourself.

Of course he supports you! He’s so impressed and is constantly gushing about how talented you are in the chatroom.

Though nothing could prepare him for the moment you said you wanted to make something for him. Looking up at him with big hopeful eyes as you asked if he’d let you design him an outfit. His heart nearly burst.

You poured hours of time and effort into these pieces for him, determined to make this your best project yet. Your magnum opus. (You also sent concept sketches and fabric swatches to Jaehee for her “professional fan opinion”)

When he put it on for the first time, he was speechless. Everything fit perfectly, there wasn’t a part of the outfit that was uncomfortable in the slightest.

And he may be a bit of a narcissist, but he swore that the clothes you crafted made him more handsome than he thought possible. He looked good but never this good.

Your heart was filled with sunshine and warmth when he decided to wear it to an interview.

“My outfit? It’s custom-made. My girlfriend is a very talented seamstress and this was a gift from her~”

Jaehee:

She found out when she called you to complain about the c-fur she was still cleaning up around her apartment.

“Ugh, I’m sorry, Jaehee. I know how bad that can get. I took care of my friend’s cat for a weekend once and I spent an entire month cleaning fur off all my fabric.”

Your fabric?? “What fabric, MC?”

The fabric for your projects of course! Once she got you started, you happily explained your passion to her and how you’ve been making your own clothes for a while now too.

She is also very impressed with your skill and also impressed with how handy it is. You very generously offered to mend her favorite blazer when one of the seams split. You also fixed the two loose buttons you found.

When you two open up the cafe together, you made Jaehee a custom apron to wear. Even going so far as to embroider her name on it along with some decorative coffee beans.

It’s her favorite apron and the one she wears the most while working. (until it has to be cleaned, but then it’s right back in the cafe for her to use)

It gets a lot of compliments too and you’ve actually had a few customers commission you from Jaehee’s (unintentional) promoting.

You since made more clothes for her, even an entire sundress similar to one she had been looking at while you both were out shopping. (You didn’t think the one sold was her color, so you made one yourself that would highlight her best~)

The only issue is the thread and fabric scraps that tend to scatter just as bad as the c-fur… but hey, at lease the end result is more useful! And she can always count on you to tidy your mess when you’re finished~

Jumin:

You mentioned it offhand. Simply mentioning the stitching quality on one of his ties and how you hadn’t made a tie before.

He followed up asking why you would want to make a tie, to which you explained that you often made your own clothes but would love to give yourself a little challenge with something you hadn’t done before.

Initially, he didn’t quite understand. He could easily have any outfit you desired tailored specifically for you, there wasn’t the need to go through all the hassle of making it.

You had to explain that it was your hobby. That, while time consuming and occasionally tedious, you truly enjoyed making your own clothes, and showed him some examples from your closet.

“I’m quite impressed, MC. I’ve only seen this kind of quality come out of trained professionals.”

“I’ll take that compliment. Thank you, love~”

He gives you an entire studio for your projects. While you insist that he doesn’t need to give you so many elaborate gifts, you have to admit that the space is very nice. Much better than working in cramped conditions or on the floor.

While Jumin doesn’t have an interest in joining your craftiness, your husband is more than willing to encourage your hobby monetarily with machine repairs and high quality materials.

Whatever you want, you can have. You’re his darling wife after all.

He even gifted you an antique sewing machine, a vintage 1902 Singer Treadle. You don’t “use” it, but you learned how to just for fun. It’s a lovely decoration of your hobby at the least.

And, yes, you did make a tie for him. Two actually, but you only gave him the second one, insisting that the first was practice only.

It quickly becomes his favorite and he always wears it to important meetings. It’s like having you right there with him for support.

It also becomes quite the talking piece at one of the RFA parties when a member of the Cultured Citizens asks about the brand and price.

“This tie was handmade by my wife and is certainly priceless.”

He already knew because of course he did.

He would often send you (jokingly) ridiculous “orders” with impossible time frames, including:

An iridescent “Statue of Liberty” costume - 3 days

Twenty-seven onesies for ducks - 4 days

A prom dress made of pasta - 3 days

An overnight yeti costume

The two of you would banter about it in the chatroom until someone told you guys to knock it off, it was never not fun.

Whenever you finished a new piece or outfit for yourself, you would try it on and call him while standing in front of the camera in the apartment, asking for his opinion.

The cat-themed overall skirt was the one that broke him. You were just so cute with all the decorated pockets~! And the buttons looked like little cats too! You’re just too precious~

After the dust of the first party settled and Saeyoung had his brother back, you took it upon yourself to make Saeran some new clothes. He was going to be your brother-in-law, after all, you wanted to make him feel welcome.

Of course, it then turned into making both boys some new clothes as you kept thinking of new ideas. Not that you minded, this was your passion after all.

I think Saeyoung would also give you your own room/studio in the bunker. A place where you could spread out without worry. (Vanderwood was just grateful he didn’t have to keep cleaning up thread)

Saeyoung was also happy to help with any repairs your sewing machine needed, or he’d just make you a new one… or three… with some—interesting—added features.

“Saeyoung, dear, I don’t think my machine needs a Ph.D Pepper dispenser.”

“But what if my honey gets thirsty while she works?!”

“...But won’t the sewing shake up all the carbonation? It would explode on my pretty clothes T^T”

“OMG! I’m so sorry!! I’ll take it out right away!!”

This kind of conversation happens regularly.

Eventually, there was one top-secret project that you were working on… one that you made Saeyoung swear not to snoop through. Even going so far as to have Saeran keep an eye out to make sure his brother stayed true to his word. (He did but he whined about it)

The project took a long time and you had to have Saeran help you order the materials in secret.

Saeyoung didn’t like being kept in the dark, it made him uneasy. You assured him it was okay and that you just didn’t want the surprise to be ruined.

He was still uneasy, but he trusted you.

And it was all worth it in the end…

When you walked down the aisle in your handmade wedding dress, glittering and shining like stars in the night sky you both loved so much.

Hi anon, such a fun ask. I do have some modern day headcanons. One is that Silas would love Benoit Blanc. The other is that Nathaniel reads pulpy scifi novels but is always casting illusions on them to make them look like pretentious literary fiction to anyone who happens to be watching. This is annoying for Silas, who actually reads literary fiction and is tired of picking up One Hundred Years of Solitude only for it to turn out to be Nathaniel's copy of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Elisabeth has no idea what tiktok is, even though Nathaniel runs a viral tiktok account where he posts videos of his strong hot girlfriend effortlessly hoisting ikea furniture over her shoulder and staring at the art museum's medieval armor exhibit with a weirdly hungry expression as the attendant nervously wonders if he should call security. Silas sabotages the ikea furniture while they're sleeping. When their strandtorp table collapses the next day, he looks at them with pity and blames it on poor manufacturing. Elisabeth is banned from Costco's family sized strawberry jam.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

-Genji's a very secure partner, I don't see him as being very clingy. He knows how to seperate from you when needed, but that doesn't mean he's not affectionate. He is in his own ways. I see his love languages being gift giving and quality time; his affection comes in the form of a random origami crane he made for you, or your favorite snack he just happened to come across that he totally didn't spend hours getting just to see your face light up, it's the time he spends doing your favorite hobby with you even after a long day, just because it warms his heart to see you so passionate about something.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Genji's a very attentive friend, always there to have your back or cheer you up with wise words and good company. As you get closer you get to see the more playful side of him, the side of him that teases you for little things and can be easily egged on into playing games because even though he pretends to be all wise and sage he's still got that competitive and playful spirit.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

He's not super cuddly, but he likes holding you when he sleeps. He's a rough sleeper and having you close helps. He has to wear his mask to sleep (see my genji cyborg headcanons), but he has the rest of his armor off while he sleeps so he can feel his skin (what he has left) against yours. Prefers to be the one holding you but won't complain if you want to hold him, only if you're doing it to comfort yourself though; he doesn't like to be held to be comforted, it feels better to hold something instead.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I can't see him wanting to fight for his entire life, at least not in overwatch. He has a lot to fight for, but he'll be satisfied one day, when he knows the future is in good hands. He makes this promise to you, that his life of danger and fighting will not be forever; one day he will settle down with you for good.

I wouldn't say he's great at cooking, but he's picked up a few skills while training in Nepal with Zenyatta. He could definitely make some meals for you. He is, however, very clean. Always dutiful to pick up after himself and keep things where they belong.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Overall I don't think he's had a lot of relationships, especially after the incident of becoming a cyborg. It took a lot of years and healing to even accept himself, much less let other people accept him. Not to mention how secluded his lifestyle was in Nepal for a while. For him to end a relationship with someone would be truly rare; I can only really see it happening if they betrayed him in some way. Even if you were at a serious risk of death, Genji would think you're safest where he can watch over you. He wouldn't push you away.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

He's not as traditional as say- his brother, but Genji does have some traditional values. Marriage would be something he wants, but he'd be slow about it. The man doesn't rush I'll tell you that much. He took FOREVER to confess his feelings to you, so he'll take his time with proposing as well. Maybe after he retires from overwatch and you two can build a proper life together <3

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

After all of his training, Genji has become attuned his emotions, as well as the emotions of others. He knows the value of a gentle word can be just as important as a sharp touch. With you, he's not dishonest, he won't tell you what you want to hear but he'll be gentle with you regardless. He knows what it is to hurt, and to heal- perhaps better than most. He touches you as if you are a fresh bloom, sacred and breakable, regardless of your size or background. You are his, which means to him that's what you deserve.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

If you like hugs he'll indulge you more often, but he's not one to initiate unless he's truly missed you or was worried about you. When he hugs you he likes to rub your back and cradle your head. If he had been worried about you he likes to crouch down (if you're shorter than him) and hug you around the midsection so he can listen to your heartbeat for a while. It's comforting.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He says it when he confesses. He's not one to throw his feelings around lightly, nor his romantic favor. By the time he's ready to confess he'll be sure he loves you, and he wants you to know it. He'd say it in his native language first, then repeat in English if you don't understand.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

For all of his training and all of his healing Genji is still one competitive bastard. If you thought I'd put 'oh he's so secure he doesn't mind' here, I can't blame you, but may I suggest "Genji actually isn't threatened but takes it as a challenge when people flirt with you?" Yes, for the most part he's extremely secure and doesn't doubt for a second that you'll leave him for whatever bozo walks up and flirts with you- actually he thinks you deserve it. You're pretty, why wouldn't you get propositions? But that doesn't change the fact that you're HIS partner, so he'll walk up and flirt with you too. The sweetest compliments only he could pull off to grab your attention; he takes some guilty pleasure in the embarrassed walk of shame the other person pulls when they realize you're entirely enamored with him...

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His mask definitely gets in the way of kissing you whenever he feels like it, but in a way it makes his kisses even more special because he puts in extra effort to do it. Lip kisses are of course his favorite just because of the intimacy and because if he's going to take his mask off he wants to be as close to you as possible. I will say, because of the... limit of kissing, when he does get ahold of you, his kisses end up getting real hot real fast. Even if they don't amount to anything in the end, he'll leave you breathless everytime.

He likes when you kiss him on his mask where his lips would be. He thinks it's cute. But really feeling your lips anywhere on his actual skin is great as well.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He's a little awkward with kids honestly, he likes them, but he struggles with stuff to tell them. He's super cool to kids until he opens his mouth and starts talking about healing and inner peace and such. But if given enough time or a gentle push, he'd loosen up a little and entertain them with dramatic stories of dragons and warriors.

He seems like the kind of guy who would like a family of his own. A legacy to leave behind, children of his own to watch grow and never leave them with the scars his own family left him. It'd be healing, I think, to the part of him that lost his family.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Genji always wakes up at a decent time, regardless of how much sleep he got. But, if you sleep in he won't bother you. He thinks it's important for you to get as much rest as you need, regardless of his own sleep schedule. If you insist on waking up with him, he meditates in the morning right after he eats and he'd gladly teach you how to do it with him- in fact he'd be appreciative of the company.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

It's been said in game that Genji notoriously stays up late. He has trouble sleeping and getting tired, but will insist on you going to bed without him most nights. If you're a night owl and stay up with him, it'll likely be the only time you go to sleep together. Otherwise he slips into bed as gently as he can, apologizing if he wakes you up.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

He's had a complicated past. It's not everyone's business and it certainly doesn't need to be everyone's burden. Learning all he went through will take time, as will most of your relationship. It's not quite about trust, more so that there are things he doesn't wish to weigh you down with.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Mm that would depend. Genji is very patient with you, he remembers how it felt to lash out when he was angry at the world. How easily anger consumed his decisions. Even when he is angry he usually doesn't let it show outside a snide comment or two (that interaction he has with Ramattra cough cough). But when matters of your safety are involved :) whoo boy. He is a warrior, this man's rage will feel as cold and unyielding as an ocean storm. He will absolutely tear through anything and anyone to get to you. He will not come snarling and spitting, he will be a focused blade- so unwavering in its path that it pierces through even the heavens to secure you.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Considering his focus on most things I'd say it's a safe bet that he'll remember everything you tell him. Especially if it concerns things he can gift you ;)

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Your first kiss together was something special. It was a moment of utter vulnerability for him, and he tried to fit every bit of tenderness and affection and desire he felt for you all in one kiss. It was the first time he'd taken off every part of his mask in front of you too. He'll never forget it, the adoration in your eyes.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

As we discussed in Patience, Genji doesn't play about your safety. But he's not overbearing unless he's knows of an active threat on you. And even then he won't restrict you from doing anything, he'll just be close by you to make sure nothing happens. Reassuring him with your words won't do much for his worries, but he appreciates it all the same.

As for protecting him, there unfortunately isn't much you can do. He's in a dangerous line of work, but luckily he doesn't get hurt too often. On the occasion that he does, he'd appreciate you being there while he recovers. Or better yet, if you patched him up yourself.

Special! If you're an overwatch agent as well, you get paired together on missions often just because of how well you work together. You watch his back and he watches yours. He has absolutely dropped a mission to make sure you're okay though, but who can blame him?

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Genji puts maximum effort into the things he can do with you that are special. Dates and gifts are important to him and he wants them to show his love for you where his lack of physical affection or words for you fail.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He has a bad habit of losing track of time. Once he's focused on something he could do it for hours and often needs an outside force to draw him out of it. This has led to him being late to dates, events, etc but he always makes up for it.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He had to learn how to be less concerned with his appearance after it got heavily scarred. Even still with you, he struggled with intimacy for a while, showing you his body. He'd come to terms with his appearance himself but showing himself to you was different.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Definitely. He's devoted himself to you, body and soul. If you died or left him he'd feel incomplete, as if some part of him had numbed deeply. It'd be worse if you died, he likely wouldn't move on.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He calls you Uguisu, after a Japanese spring bird. They're popularly used in poetry and stories to signal the start of spring. Spring is his favorite season, it's when snow melts and makes room for new life. That's what you mean to him, new life, new invigoration. Melting the snow of his heart. <3

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He's not here to fix you, in a romantic partner he'd want someone emotionally mature. He wants to have deep talks, but to be able to talk about his life as well and the hardships he's been through.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He definitely has nightmares. If you're a light sleeper and wake up to him, he'll take off his mask just to kiss your forehead and reassure you he's fine. They're of varying variety but the worst ones these days are of you dying or going through what he went through. When he has those, regardless of if you wake up or not, he'll hug you to him tightly for a while, humming a soft tune to himself to calm down.

Not exactly a character, but I do believe that changelings have a unique relationship with gender, and it's overall all or nothing with them

That's all I can think of off the top of my head, what about you?

Personally, I haven't given that much thought for the cast, exept for with applejack. When I was writing the Princess and the Peasant, a big part of her character drive is that since her parents died, she had to do everything to support her family, and in that way, she had time for nothing else, no romance, no distractions, no wondering what she could be when it isn't this. The reason she is so strong is because she worked nonstop day after day to keep Sweet Apple Acres alive. I didn't end up writing it into the fic, but one thing was perfectly clear for me-- It would have been a fantastic Trans character moment, because although she is happy with the woman label, and her family accepts her, she never had time to be in touch with it or even explore this other side of herself, since she was always driven to help her family. She didn't get the chance to truly ask herself who she could be, if she wasn't poverty-stricken, and perpetually having to provide for her family. It leads to the classic rarijack moment where being near rarity allows her to explore other versions of herself, to imagine what else she could be. There's a scene in the fic where they have to wear disguises, and Rarity dresses AJ up-- and when Applejack looks in the mirror, she could swear that she saw her mother, pear butter. Rarity here being not only supportive but incentifyzing AJ to explore herself and stuff. If I ever came back to the story with original characters (specially anthros, heh) I would absolutely make that a part of the narrative; Her own gender identity being explored through her relationship with this gorgeous woman she's tasked with protecting. Good times.

That's about it though! otherwise, i dont think of many trans things in mlp, since the show is canonly pretty non lgbt, either way

Miraculous Gaang

So, General rambling.

1.) So like. My general idea for the Peacock was just that Sozin grabbed a Miraculous to use to sort of “prove his point”, but made a giant senti that went nuts, and he and Roku had to fight it. But, of course, Sozin leaves Roku to die, and runs off after the other miraculous (or tries to). The Peacock Miraculous breaks during this, so Sozin can’t use it without harming himself. He still keeps it, trying to figure out how to fix it, and warning his kids about it. Ozai eventually gives it to his “Mayura” conveniently leaving out that detail, cause what does he care? (This is where the initial “Azula as Mayura” idea came from, but like. I feel like Azula would be smart enough to go “Ok, you haven’t been using it this whole time for a REASON, I am sceptical of your motivations for handing me this.”)

Zhao absolutely works, though who’s your “Avatar!Ty Lee” OC?

Ozai getting the Butterfly, was like (broad strokes). So, Gyatso has spent YEARS hiding the Miraculous, but he’s beginning to feel like maybe hiding away isn’t the BEST idea? And he meets someone who really wants to help people, so he convinces himself to lend out the Butterfly. This results in a chain of events that end with this person dying, the Butterfly getting “lost”, and 3-year-old Aang being orphaned. Gyatso ends up adopting Aang, cause he doesn’t have anyone else, and tries to keep a low profile, while also keeping a vague eye out for the Butterfly. I’m not sure if the Butterfly gets “lost” because it was stolen, like either Azulon caused all the drama to steal it, or if it ACTUALLY got lost, and Azulon found it later. Then, like, part of Ozai scheming to kill his dad is because he finds out the old man has the Butterfly, and Ozai wants it. Iroh would be unaware of all of this, focusing on his family, and trying to leave the whole “Hunting Reality Warping Objects Of Power” behind.

2.) Not sure how well this works, but when I tried to envision the Gaang as Heroes, only Zuko was actually wearing a mask, the rest had face paint. Cause I was cross-referencing with the show, and besides Zuko, most of the time, when these kids want to hide their identities, they wear face paint. So, I thought, like. A combo of eye-coverings, masks, face paint? Like.

Zuko’s mask apes the “Blue Spirit” one he wore in the show, but red and gold. His hero outfit is a bit “Fire Nation”-y.

Sokka has a mask, but it covers most of his head, but more “hood” style? His lower face is visible.

Katara has the “Painted Lady” make-up.

Suki has the Kyoshi Warrior face-paint, but snake influenced. Stuff like that.

Oddly attached to Tiger!Toph having eye coverings that are basically a fancy blindfold.

Also names! Names have been knocking around my head, but I only have a few! 

Also also! I’m just going to REALLY lean into my headcanon that the Miraculous weapons are magic and so (within reason) are a bit malleable, and can change a bit to suit the wielder. This is variable, and you may feel free to disregard this portion! Also, as always, open to suggestions!

Ladybug!Sokka - honestly, I feel like “Captain” should be in there somewhere, but not sure. So far, I’ve got “Captain Harmonia” based on Harmonia axyridis, which is a large variety of ladybeetle, also commonly called a harlequin beetle. “Captain Harlequin” could also work, I guess? Costume, Lord Beetle crossed with Water Tribe armor? Oh, and an on running joke that his “Lucky Charms” are either Macgyvre-esque nonsense, or a boomerang. He gets boomerang a LOT. Eventually, he just starts carrying one with him everywhere. Tikki shows him how to make a magic one.

Black Cat!Katara - name, again, got very little. “Panther” something feels appropriate, but also, enh? Are there cats that LIKE swimming? Like. All I really got was “Painted Panther”. Costume … yeah, I got nothing. Also, on weapons, Katara’s water bending manifested a lot as whips, so I feel her staff should have a “cat-o-nine-tails” mode.

Turtle!Aang - Lion Turtle. His hero name should be Lion Turtle. Mostly cause I have zero other ideas. I’m thinking his season 3 monk look, but with sleeves, for his costume, with a hood, maybe some goggles? Weapon … So like. He HAS to have a shield, but I’m really attached to Aang’s glider, so. Is there a way to combine those, you think?

Snake!Suki - um. First thing I thought of was Diamondback? Not sure how well that works … Teal Mamba? Ok, Black Mamba’s are super poisonous, but Teal Mamba sounds silly. Kyoshi Warrior, but like. A bit more form-fitting. Face-paint, and Snake eyes. Weapon is her fans, or if makes a bit more sense, the harp can have a chakram mode.

Tiger!Toph - honestly, first thing that popped into my head was “the Blind Tiger”. Costume a take on her in-show outfit, but with a tail, Kitty ears, and a fancy blindfold. Only one who I don’t see the weapon changing, maybe just giving her some awesome boots, but would she have Clout, Invisibility, or eventually both? Is that her arc, learning to both be seen, but also to hide?

Dragon!Zuko - Name, uncertain? Like, “Blue Spirit” is an actual alias he had in the show, but “Blue Dragon” sounds odd. “Druk” is what he names his ACTUAL dragon, but I see that as his pet iguana. He DOES have a version of the Blue Spirit mask, though, as part of his costume. The sword can easily be the two dao swords he actually uses.

Fox!Azula - uh. Yeah, for Azula I have. Basically nothing. My girl, I am failing you, I am so sorry.

Rabbit!Yue - “Chang'e” is apparently the name of the moon spirit in Chinese folklore, that gets equated with the Moon Rabbit, but I’m not sure how that feels as a name? Got basically nothing for you either, Yue, my darling, forgive me.

Pig!Jin - also nothing here.

Bee!Ty Lee - or for you.

Mouse!Mai - or you, really, my brain is failing all of you.

Other people! Figured out who could be drafted into this if we needed other Miraculous users!

Ox!Haru - Haru, the earthbending guy the Gaang saved from that prison on the water? Katara gave a big speech, but everyone was apathetic, and then later they gave him a dumb moustache.

Monkey!Kuzon - Aang’s friend from the Fire Nation before it all went to hell! Here, he’s Aang’s only real friend before Aang starts going to school! 

Horse!Teo - the kid in the wheelchair, who’s dad made him the glider, so his kid could fly? I like the idea of the wheelchair transforming with Teo, so he’s got some kind of insane ride.

Also the OC! She’s uh. Actually her name is funny because I chose Noriko completely forgetting that got used in the comics for Ursa’s new identity and I thought about renaming her but the name’s stuck.

I made her initially for the Avatar!Ty Lee AU because since Azula joined the Gaang, I needed someone to fill the roles she had in Canon re: the major antagonist for Book 2 and a side-threat in Book 3.

But she’s. I say ‘Nathalie but more unhinged and evil’ but she’s literally the Harley to Ozai’s Joker(yes that’s a joke on his VA). She matches his freak in being a power hungry asshole down to murder. Like her introduction is saying ‘wow I can’t wait to kick off my honeymoon with the execution of my traitorous step-children!’.

2.) Actually I really like this idea of everyone having various facepaint for masks. And Zuko having a proper mask makes sense because he still has his scar, so he’d feel like face paint wouldn’t really hide his identity as well.

The rest of the notes on outfits are great!

Haru can work, as can Teo. Kuzon is debatable in the sense of like. We don’t ever really get to see him in canon so idk how to handle him.

Matt couldn't begin to understand how this day was ending. A long day in court followed by anger management patrol, and now he's in some little girl's room shushing her before she cries and alerts her already drunk and aggressive dad.

"Hey, hey! It's okay, it's just me! Do you know who I am?"

"No but you look scary, please go away."

"I'm here to help you get away from your dad, but you gotta be real quiet alright?"

"Are those horns?" Matt rubs the forehead on the mask.

"Yes they are, and if you come with me I'll let you touch them, but I gotta get you out of here."

"Are you the stranger danger man?" He needed to find a way to get her out of here.

"I'll explain everything if you can pack a bag with everything you need so we can leave alright?" She nods reluctantly, grabbing what seemed to be her school bag.

"It's a Bluey bag. You know Bluey?"

"I don't."

"Boring." She walks over to him, and he takes the bag from her, slinging Bluey over the coarse armor. He steps out onto the fire escape, signaling the girl to follow him.

"Wait!" She whispers, "I'm scared of heights." He beckons her over still, yet she holds steadfast in her grip on the window frame.

"Will it be better if I hold you?" He asks, and she nods, so he picks her up, arm wrapped around her as her legs wrap around his hip and her head thunks on his shoulder.

Matt wracks his brain on where to take her for the night. He could just take her to a police department or a hospital, but there’s no evidence of harm on her, and they’d just return her. Crisis centers weren’t open 24/7, and the only place he could think of was his own apartment.

This was a stupid idea.

She was shaking, the poor girl, when they reached Matt’s rooftop. She couldn’t have been older than seven, and she was freezing cold. Her breaths froze midair, amusing her slightly as she kept making huffing noises next to Matt’s ear.

“We’re here.” He says, gently placing her on the ground before opening to the rooftop door.

“Head inside, it should be warm.” Her shoes tip tap down the stairs, pausing at the bottom.

“Where are we?” She asks.

“My apartment.” He sighs, scratching at his chin.

“Are you going to hurt me?” She asks.

“I’m not going to hurt you, but if you could tell me about your dad, I can make sure you never get hurt by him again.” Her body jolts ever so slightly at the sound of the title.

“How did you know?” Childish wonder pours through her voice, but Matt can hear the undertones of skepticism.

“I heard your mom scream.”

“Not my mom, dad’s girlfriend.”

“Okay,” Matt listens, “tell me more. Does he do it often?” She pauses, and then nods.

“All the time.”

“Has he hurt you recently?” She nods again, then pulls both her pant legs to above her knees. Matt smells dried blood.

“He pushed me.” She says simply, and Matt feels his hands curl tightly into fists.

“I’m going to get you something for that.” He walks to the bathroom, and she wraps her arms around her stomach, trying her best to make herself appear smaller.

“I got you some bandaids and some antibiotic cream, but I gotta clean it first okay?” He gestures to her to sit on the chair by the dining table and kneels in front of her.

“Do you have the bandaids with the smiley faces?”

“Hm, no. But I can draw on these ones with a marker?”

“Okay.” She did not sound amused.

“Can you take the helmet off?” She asks, touching the horns.

“I can,” he says, “but you have to promise not to tell anyone, okay?” She nods enthusiastically, and his fingers graze the helmet before tugging it off.

“I’m going to clean your scrapes now.” He says. Her whines break his heart when he presses the alcohol wipe to her raw skin.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” He says, and he can tell her bottom lip is quivering as the smell of salt fills the air. He goes through it as quickly as possible, grabbing the marker behind him to cheer her up.

“Want smiley faces?” He asks, and her mood shifts almost immediately. She wipes her tears away and nods. She watches as he finds the edges of the bandaid with his thumb, drawing within the barrier he created with his fingers. It’s then that she notices that he’s not made eye contact with anything.

“All done.” Matt stands up, smiling at her.

“Are you blind?”

“Oh- uh- yes. I am.” He rubs the back of his neck, as if he’s been cornered.

“That’s cool.”

“Cool?”

“I’ve never met a blind person before.”

“Oh.”

“Can I ask about stuff?”

“About being blind?” She hums.

“Okay,” Matt says, grabbing her a glass of water from the kitchen and some snacks, she must be hungry, “but you gotta eat these and drink this while you ask, I don’t want you going hungry.”

“‘M not hungry.” Right on cue, her stomach growls.

“You sure about that?” She grumbles and takes the snack.

“How does the cane help?” Her voice comes out mumbled from her stuffing her face.

“It helps by telling me what I’m going over, like if I’m going to run into something, or if I’m going to hit a curb. It also helps people know that I’m blind.”

“What color are your glasses?” He laughs.

“I’m told they’re red.”

“Red glasses are cool.”

“Thank you.” She falls silent, the only sound coming from her chewing.

“Are those two the only questions you had?” He asks, amused.

“Mhm.”

“Okay, is it alright if I leave you for a bit? Just to take a shower?”

“Do you have Bluey?”

“I’m- not sure what Bluey is on.”

“Do you have a tv?”

“I have a laptop.”

“Gimme.”

He gets her set up with the show, and before he steps into the bathroom, she has another question.

“Why is there a man talking on the computer?”

“What do you mean?”

“This man is not on Bluey.”

“Oh! Those are audio descriptions, they help me ‘watch’ tv by describing what’s happening. Here, I can turn it off for you.”

Matt’s rubbing his damp hair dry with a towel when he emerges from the bathroom. The kid’s not on the couch, and Matt realizes she’s rummaging around the kitchen.

“Are you still hungry?” He asks, checking the time on his watch. It was just half past two in the morning.

“I didn’t have breakfast or dinner,” she explains, “just stinky school lunch. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t apologize. I don’t think I have anything you’ll like, but I know a diner that’s still open and delivers. Does that sound alright with you?”

“Waffles and hot chocolate?”

“Waffles and hot chocolate.” He confirms, a smile growing on his face.

“Can I have whipped cream?”

“On the hot chocolate or on the waffles?”

“Both! And chocolate chips on the waffles!”

“Okay kiddo,” Matt says, chuckling, “let’s see what I can do.”

Thirty minutes later, the two of them are sitting at the dining table and eating waffles and drinking hot chocolate. Matt also indulged himself in whipped cream, and the kid was laughing from his whipped cream mustache. Her giggles are interrupted by a yawn, and Matt finally realizes just how late it is for her, even if this is normal operating hours for him.

“Why don’t you finish up that waffle while I set the bed for you? It’s been a long day.” She nods, and Matt gets up to set the bedroom for her. He’s glad he put in the investment to get curtains installed in the bedroom, so it’s easier for her to sleep. He grabs a few pillows and thicker blankets for her, as well as plugging a nightlight into the wall. She’s falling asleep at the table by the time he comes back, and he resorts to just carrying her to the bed.

“You’re sleeping here tonight, I’ll be on the couch. If you need anything you can wake me up, okay?” He explains, and she nods.

He settles on the couch, blanket up to his chin. He ventures in and out of slumber, listening in to the kid’s heartbeat until he realizes it hasn’t settled or slowed. He listens a bit more, getting up when he hears soft sobs.

“Hey,” he slides the door on its rollers, “are you alright?” She shakes her head quickly and reaches out for him. He rushes to her side and allows her to wrap her arms around his neck when he sits next to her. His hands rub up and down her back, as she buries her head in his neck and he lets her cry to her heart’s content. She cries about everything her dad did to her and his girlfriend, to her mom, she cries about her mom leaving her, she cries about getting bullied at school and being hungry all the time. The one thing that breaks Matt’s heart the most is how badly she cries about how nice he’s been to her. That the waffles were the most she’s eaten in one sitting in a month. That this is the first time she’s had clean sheets since she can remember. That he let her watch tv on his laptop.

He lets her cry until her sobs fall quiet, hiccups running through her little body. She asks him to stay, and he does just that. He props himself up against his headboard with a pillow tucked behind his back while she stays in the same position, body tucked against his, and she falls asleep with her head on his shoulder.

He gets woken up by small taps on his shoulder. He jolts awake, trying to get his bearings.

“Why are you up?” He asks, hands coming up to rub his eyes.

“I have school. You gotta take me to school.”

“You have- can you miss today?”

“Nuh uh, they’ll call my dad, and plus I have a spelling test.”

“When does your school start?”

“8:30.”

“That’s in- that’s in twenty minutes. Oh god.” He springs out of bed, running around like a chicken with its head cut off.

The two of them are out the door in eight minutes, Matt’s tie is crooked and his hair isn’t brushed, but the kid looks impeccable and that’s what matters.

“What time does school end?”

“Three.”

“Okay, I’ll be right here to pick you up alright? I’ll try to get something sorted for you as far as everything else goes.” She nods, hugging Matt quickly, and before he can react she runs through the doors of the school.

“Do I want to ask what happened last night?” Foggy says, but Matt’s focus is on Karen.

“Can you call Mahoney up here? And also child services? I have a- case, an important one.”

“Child services?” Karen asks.

“I’ll explain everything when they get here.”

The good thing about Mahoney knowing that Matt was Daredevil was the fact that he never questioned where exactly Matt got the kid from. He knew it was probably some vigilante act, but all Brett really cared about was knowing that there was a kid out there who was safe.

“Where did she stay last night?”

“She stayed with me.”

“Okay, we’re going to have you fill out some paperwork, Mr. Murdock, and then we’ll need to talk to her. Do you know where she is right now?” The woman from child services asks.

“School. She’s at school,” he turns to Brett, “could you request a wellness check on the girlfriend?” Mahoney nods.

“I’ll call it in.”

A few hours of paperwork and worried looks from Foggy and Karen puts Matt at 2:45. He asks if he can leave to pick the kid up from school, and they agree. Brett accompanies Matt in the fear that her dad might show up to pick her up, but nobody’s there when school lets out. Matt’s relieved and also a little heartbroken for her; Jack wasn’t the best father but he was still present and loved Matt as much as he could.

“You’re here!” He hears her squeal, her body making impact against his legs, her head thudding against his stomach.

“‘Course I am,” he says, taking her backpack from her and slinging it across his back before picking her up, “told you I’d be here.” She wraps her arms around his shoulders and hugs him tight.

“Murdock, I gotta talk to you when we get to the office,” Brett says, “in private.” Matt nods, and the girl peers at him.

“Who’s he?” She points at Mahoney.

“He’s someone who’s going to help put you in a safer place, I promise. Are you hungry?” She nods.

“Why don’t I meet you two back at the office?” Mahoney suggests, and Matt agrees.

“What are you in the mood for, kiddo?”

“Fries!” Matt sighs happily.

“Fries it is.”

Twenty minutes later the two of them show up, fries and burgers in tow. The child services worker pulls the kid away, and Brett finally gets to talk to Matt.

“They performed that wellness check, the dad answered, and officers were able to enter. They found a trail of blood leading to the bathroom. Matt, the girlfriend’s dead.”

“So you’re saying-”

“Kid can testify for assault and a witness for murder.”

“Jesus.” Matt rubs his forehead.

“We get her into some foster care or orphanage, we can keep her safe.”

“What about her mom?”

“Not on the records.”

“Birth certificate?”

“Was changed not to include her.”

“So she’s alone now.”

“Yeah.”

“That poor kid.”

“I’m sorry.”

“So what part do I have to take?”

“Nothing. As far as I know, you’re done with caring for the kid.” Matt rubs his forehead again, only looking up when the door to the conference room opens and little footsteps charge towards him.

“She said she’s taking me somewhere fun, are you coming with us?”

“Sweetheart-”

“You’re coming with, right?” Her voice softens, “he’s coming with us?” The lady shakes her head sadly, and the kid almost bursts into tears right then.

“You’re leaving me? I thought you liked me!” Her voice raises in anger and sadness, and Matt kneels in front of her.

“I do, sweetheart, I really do. But you’ll be better off with them. They’ll keep you safe.”

“You’re leaving me just like Mom did!” She bangs her small fists against Matt’s chest. He lets her, her anger bubbling over until she can’t contain it anymore. When she stops and begins crying, Matt takes her into a hug. She squeezes tight, and he lets her sob into his jacket.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart, but they’re going to take care of you.”

“I want you to take care of me.” She says, and Matt bites back tears at her confession.

“You’ve known me for a night, love. They have the resources, I don’t.”

“I’ll be so good! I won’t ever get in trouble!” A tear does fall from Matt’s face now, and he hugs her back tighter.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry,” he gets her to settle down slowly, “I’ll come visit. I’ll visit you all the time with chocolate chip waffles and whipped cream on everything. I’ll be there, I promise.” She nods slowly in understanding.

“You have to make a pinky promise.” He holds out his pinky solemnly, and she takes it with her shaky hands. She hugs him again, and he presses a kiss to her forehead.

“Time to go,” the worker says, “you get to meet new friends there!” She tries to entice the kid, but she stays glued to Matt.

“Do you want me to walk you to the car?” She nods, holding his hand as she walks with him.

The goodbye at the car was tearful. She clung to him, wishing she didn’t have to leave while Matt sobbed silently. She tugs her backpack in with her and waves bye to him as the worker rolls up the window.

Matt goes straight home. He tried to stay in the office, but Foggy and Karen told him to leave, come back tomorrow when you feel better. He throws out the empty boxes from last night’s dinner and opens his laptop on the couch with a beer in hand to distract himself with case files. Except he’s not greeted with case files. He’s greeted with the Bluey theme song.

He sits there as episode after episode of the Australian show plays, sipping his beer as tears run down his face.

“This is stupid.” He mutters. He knew that kid for less than a day and was already so attached to her. He wipes his face and cleans around the house to distract his mind.

And then he gets waffles and hot chocolate with whipped cream for dinner.

A Magic Moon Lake!

After 2 years, this is still one of my favorite pieces I’ve done. I didn’t overthink it, I just let my emotions and the power of the song take over. And in the end, it still makes smile. :)

To all of you who have followed our New Moon content after all this time, thank you so much! This story inspired me to draw and write like nothing else, and helped me forge a friendship with two of the most wonderful and talented people I know!

Hopefully there will be more New Moon content soon, I can’t wait to pick up a pencil!

Reading the tags of your recent Kunoichi Turtles post that Female Casey has a bit of a flirtatious personality has led me to headcanon that when Lavinia starts crushing on David (I think that’s Mona’s genderbent name in your AU?) she goes to Casey for advice and tips on how to flirt with a boy but when actually trying to use the flirting tips on David she fails miserably (like that flirting lesson scene from the movie Jumanji), but unknowingly to Vinnie the bad flirting worked and David is smitten XD

AHAHAHA! XD I would literally cry from second hand embarrassment if an episode like that existed. Maybe, maybe, I can see that happening a few "episodes" after David's first introduced into the story, after Vin finally comes to terms with her emotions. Because in this version the relationship progresses slowly over the course of like a season and a half (a lot of that due to David only visiting when his job demands it), and Vin has cold feet like for most of that time lol

David is the one who gets smitten with Vin first in my story and starts making subtle advances while Vin is completely on edge and skeptical of them and needs a while to realize that he actually likes her in a romantic sense, for real, and doesn't have some ulterior motive. After that she's just very awkward and tongue-tied about it.

You know how Raph kept telling Donnie to give up on his crush because they're all giant mutants that won't ever get a chance at love? I wanted to put attention on that part from canon since the show didn't give me that with the canon Ramona. Raph being a teenage girl can only make that mind-set worse, giving him/her more insecurity and self-hatred. Especially since Vin is the biggest of her sisters and the least "cute" and feminine of them. So I don't see her making the first move in any situation, and I think she'd only flirt after it would be made clear the other person feels the same way.

Ahh, sorry, that got a bit serious maybe. The two actually have a really sweet and healthy relationship (y'know, in my head, where it's been living rent free for years now lol), Lavinia just has to work out some things first before she's angst free.

In this AU we first meet David in the episode Newtralized, where David and Sal are trying to arrest the Newtralizer. Slash is there (he's an all-time baddie in this version), Vin gets captured thanks to David getting in the way of the fight, David feels responsible and goes to save her -> bla bla bla -> Vin has a rescued princess moment that she doesn't know how to feel about...

I've been trying to make this episode into an actual fic for the longest time. On the topic of Casey, I'm showing you a short section from the wip. It takes place toward the end when they've all reunited. I think it's also a good example on why Vin would not go to Casey for romantic advice XD

Casey leans in close to her face, her hooded eyes joining her friend’s thoughtful gaze on the young Salamandrian on the other side of the rooftop who is currently listening to his veteran commander going over what had happened while they were split up.

“Look at him standing there,” she says to her smoothly, almost whispering into her ear, “dark skin over toned muscle. Those abs, man.”

“Casey!” Vin cries out in shock and horror and swings around to face her friend’s smug smile.

“Like a chiseled renaissance statue,” Sofie helps with uncharacteristic coyness to her smile.

“Sofie, no!”

All four of the girls are grinning like Cheshire Cats at Lavinia’s discomfort, enjoying themselves way too much. Vin’s cheeks and nose are thoroughly covered in a deep blush and she hates that it’s there in the first place. She doesn’t even like the guy.

“David the Statuesque! That’s what I’m naming him.” Marie exclaims, sounding proud of herself for that one. “I was going to go with something more fun but since he’s your knight in shining armor—Literally!—I gotta be respectful.”

Vin can’t even hide her tortured grimace. Her shoulders sag and she sighs miserably. “I hate you guys.”

I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but what do you think about Elijah’s reaction to learning that Katherine killed Jeremy? I know a lot people thought that it was odd because Jeremy had just played a part in killing Kol a few episodes before, but I feel like he was more so disappointed in the fact that Katherine hadn’t actually changed.

His reaction had nothing to do with who she killed and more to do with who she had become.

We don't really get to see how Katherine and Elijah ended up together, but we can see that Elijah is clinging onto the Katerina he lost all of those years ago. I also headcanon he was really hanging onto the memory of Tatia. He was trying to save Katherine and then Elena, the way he failed to save Tatia.

Elijah failed to save Katherine from Klaus and it destroyed her, turning her into a selfish, manipulative person that he didn't know. I assume when they got together, he saw hints of the "Katerina" he remembered which is why he was willing to give her a chance.

Elena: "She's a monster now, Elijah. The sweet peasant girl you fell in love with way back when is dead. And she's not coming back." Elijah: "I'm not a fool, Elena. Of course this possibility occurred to me, but what kind of man would I be if I didn't try to find my Katerina beneath this Katherine façade?"

But as Elijah said, he's not a fool. You know what they say, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." At this point, Elijah was willing to believe Katherine, deep down, had a good heart. But watching her do to Elena what Klaus had done to her showed him that the girl he once knew was truly gone. He wasn't willing to give her another chance to make a fool of him.

He felt betrayed because she had lied to him. It wasn't just that she had killed, he can justify that, but the fact that she was lying about it. She was playing him the same way she had played everyone. It would have been completely different if she had told him her plan ahead of time or even right when she came back. But she didn't trust him with her plan and it just reinforced that he didn't really trust her.

Elijah is also able to put logic over emotions. Yes, he was likely angry about Kol's death (although the show didn't spend anytime showing the Mikaelsons actually have reactions to it) he knew starting a war in Mystic Falls wasn't going to solve anything. This is where plot armor comes in because no way would any of these baby vamps and humans have actually walked away after killing Kol and Finn. They all would have been dead before they had the chance to blink, but then TVD would be over. So, instead the plot demands the Mikaelsons to move past it.

It also wouldn't be the first time Elijah has moved on after someone killed one of his loved ones *cough* Klaus *cough*

TVD Elijah was also a lot more practical. He killed very strategically. Similar to TO Season 3, when Hayley is killing Strix members to avenge Jackson, he is not mad at her for killing but shocked that she is doing it so messily, nearly starting a war. He then goes and dispatches them all with a plan. Katherine here didn't let him in on the plan, and we know how much he hates when Klaus does that. I think he saw a lot of Klaus in Katherine in that moment, and lord knows he doesn't need another one.

If Katherine had come back and told him she killed Jeremy because of what Jeremy did to Kol, he would have been fine with it. He would have felt bad for Elena, but at the end of the day, it's not anything different than what Elijah's done for family. Or what the MF gang has done. Again, his issue wasn't about the murder or about Jeremy. It was about the lying that stemmed from a lack of trust. He knew she was still killing people. He wasn't that naïve. He just had hoped she had some line she wouldn't cross. Hoping she had compassion for her ancestor. Hoping that she trusted him enough to protect her.

It's similar to when Celeste comes back in TO Season 1. There's a brief moment of time while he's following her on a tour of New Orleans and he knows it's her, he's willing to give her a chance to explain. He kisses her back and looks so desperate. But then she betrays him (yes, well deserved) and that was the only chance he gave her. Even at the end, when she pleaded with him, he was not going to give her another chance.

Katherine had one chance to show she wasn't the person everyone said she was and without hesitating she did exactly what was expected from her. She wanted the cure to trade for her freedom and there was nothing she wouldn't have done for it. She didn't trust that Elijah would protect her from Klaus (probably wisely) and she didn't trust Elijah with her plans. Without trust, they didn't have much left to fight for in a relationship.

I have Kitana-centric liulaotana headcanons! :D

Kitana was 5 (in Earthrealm years, the Edenian ages are weird) when Edenia was conquered so Shao Kahn practically raised her. And sometimes she finds herself missing him, yes he was a terrible man, but he was her father. It's hard for her to separate Shao Kahn the conqueror and Shao Kahn her father. He never raised a hand to her outside of training, even then he knew when to pull his punches, he made sure she ate, he spoiled her with new weaponry and armor, he told her stories of his time in Onaga's army, he taught her his culture and traditions.

Traditions that include his dragonian courting rituals. Before she and Liu Kang got together, but after she realized she had feelings for him, she attempted to court him. It went as well as you expect.

It started simple with her not wearing neck armor around him. Which then evolved into tops that exposed her collarbones and parts of her sternum. Exposing this part of the body is a sign of vulnerability as it's an area that has a lot of kill points. Kang didn't think much of this and he told her he liked her outfit. She took this as her cue to proceed.

The next step was to present him with a skull, as a sign of strength. She remembers Kang saying his favorite animals were reptiles, so she heads to the Michidou dens. Let's just say Kang didn't know how to react when he was given a dragon skull.

Now to give him a part of her, to show devotion. Usually, dragonians give their desired teeth, but Edenians don't shed and grow their teeth back, so she has to improvise. This leads to an awkward conversation where Liu Kang has to explain why he has a small jar of nail clippings and loose hair in his house. ("I don't know, Kitana gave it to me and I'd feel bad if I threw it out.")

She starts to steal his clothes and sniffs and cuddles them until they no longer smell like him and smell like her instead before she gives them back. Others need to smell her on him to know that he's off-limits and she's already staked her claim. It's a bonus that he smells so good, but maybe that's just her.

She keeps courting him, but it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. She ends up venting to Jade about it and Jade sets out to give him a piece of her mind for leading Kitana on. Only to find out he has no idea what she's talking about, he genuinely thought Kitana was just being nice, if not a bit strange. After an explanation, Jade drags him back to the palace so these two idiots can have a long talk. They end up dating each other after that.

Polyamory is common for dragaonians so she didn't think much about Liu Kang dating Kung Lao, though her possessiveness is a bit of a problem.

Then she started to notice how strong he was. She knew he was strong beforehand, he had to be, but seeing it outside of battle so casually was... attractive. And he smelt good.

It was far too late when Kang realized he had forgotten to tell Lao about how he and Kitana got together.

She doesn't like to talk about the fact that she misses Shao either bc she knows what he was and that, logically, she should be glad he's dead. But she isn't. It was the right thing and she doesn't want to try and make it unhappen, but there are days when she wishes things were how they used to be, and she hates herself for it a little

She also sees him go shirtless around her and thinks he's reciprocating and spends a whole three hours giggling and blushing to jade about it

Liu Kang does keep the skull in his quarters, even though it takes up so much space and Kung Lao thinks it's the coolest, kinda envious of it. Kitana trails her fingers along the bone everytime she stays over, smiling to herself

She also gives him a bottle of her blood at one point which he finds thoroughly bizarre

Liu Kang won't ever admit it but he likes that his clothes would randomly start smelling like Kitana (he didn't notice them going missing bc he has like 5 sets of the same outfit)

Jade nearly kills Liu Kang before he can get his explanation out, she's not exactly known for her restraint

Kitana and Kung Lao have brief tug of war over who can put the most hickeys on Liu Kang, which the pyromancer finds himself somewhat worn out by

Its when she sees Kung Lao lift Liu Kang that she realizes she's attracted to him, but it isn't until Kung Lao lifts her up one handed that she decides to do something about it.

Luckily, Kung Lao did research into outworlder courting rituals when Kitana started making eyes at Liu Kang, so he knew what was going on when she was courting Liu (he didn't say anything bc he loves for chaos) and is eager to reciprocate.

Kitana is thrilled by this and their courtship proceeds much faster

Kung Lao also gloats to Liu Kang that he got a better skull than she had given Liu

Ninjavember 2023!

Here's completed version with a bunch of explaining below each picture! Just scroll down if you don't want to see me blabbering. (I tried to go short as much as possible)

(I have a lot of AUs and headcanons that only exist in my head and my sketchbooks. Forgive me for wanting to spill them out.)

Day 2: Randy was listening to music with earphones so he didn't know Theresa was sitting next to him. Imagine how embarrassed he would get when he knows.

Day 8: Tech-Ninja AU. It's about machinist Randy being set up by Mcfist for murdering the town hero Ninja with his invention, the Tech-Ninja armor. Then the spirit of the destroyed Nomicon travelled to his armor and become an AI, choosing him to be the next Ninja. So Randy accepted it and was determined to make up for what he caused, when nobody except Howard, the boss of Weinerman industries, trusted him.

Day 10: Apocalypse AU. It's about Randy lost the battle at the end of season 2 and became the prisoner of the Sorcerer. The Nomicon was handed to Howard before that, and they later recruited survivors to form a resistance against the Sorcerer. Then Randy was stanked, but instead of turning into a monster, he was brainwashed and given the power of creating his own red and black stank. And- You know what will happen. (Inspired by the Darkness of Randy Cunningham)

Day 13: Elemental trial AU. You can say it's my take on what will happen in season 3. The Carp god was under the cover of a random carpfish as Norisville mascot. After a series of events it was awaken and gave Randy the power of Ice Rage.

Day 14: I think there's more than just the blood of First Ninja's brothers, since nobody knows how to destank people at the beginning...

Day 17: The Warrior might have been living or sleeping there, waiting for some ninjas to wake him up or consult him about his forbidden arts. (Ha, It's kinda like Eclipsa in Star vs. the forces of Evil)

Day 18: Or it can be called the New Generation AU. In the future, Randy took the place of Messager as well as the Ninja Guardian, while Brent became the new Sword Smith and Sorceress became their main villain. I am not really good at designing OCs so there's no next ninja yet.

However, I read a fanfic of another fandom in the form of CYOA, and it gave me new idea: just let the reader be the next ninja, it will be fun, too. (Also, this AU was inspired by an RC9GN fanfic titled from the past to the future, where future Randy became Ninja Guardian. But I couldn't find it on fanfiction.net any more. Has anyone read it? I didn't dream about it, right?)

Day 19: During that time I got even crazier after I read Enter the Nomicon. It's hard to believe I had a crazy period of shipping Randicon, even for myself. Especially weird for me since I now have a completely different view about Nomicon (peek at my Yokai Ninja AU comics). Time really can change a person, wow.

Day 21: Yes, a whole page just for this headcanon. I used the screenshots in the show because it's too hard to draw. The barrier thing is kinda like the one that held Bill's power in the range of Gravity Falls.

Day 23: Danny: the Walking Air-Conditioner. Inspired by a chapter of Secret Quartet. Danny phased his hand through the scarf. Just imagine your friend put a cold hand inside your scarf in winter. *shiver*

Day 25: Besides Ninja vine ball, there are also spike ball, gas ball, sonic ball, rainbow illusion ball, tear ball and so on. I just pick the most common one from my ninja balls headcanons to put in here.

Day 27: You may see I prefer using numbers to refer episodes, because that's how I track and rewatch them. To be more specific, I list some keywords here: NomiRandy, First Ninja, Debbie, Tengu. As fellow RC9GN Fans I'm sure you get it.

Day 30: It's a half-baked AU thing. The flowers I tried to draw are rosemary?

• They are god-awful at cooking but it’s not for a lack of trying.

Soup? Easy, throw things in a pot and heat.

Rice? 25% chance they’ll mess up the ratio for water and end up with mush.

Eggs? Might end up a little too crispy but still edible.

Anything more complex? Burnt to Karzahni and back.

In any modern/human au they’d rely mostly on takeout.

• Due to physical limitations (ie, the shape of their faces) they aren't really able to kiss normally. So they resort to affectionate bites, sometimes just holding the other’s shoulder or tail in their teeth. Ormaybejustusetongueidunno

• Once they start being more friendly with one another, Reidak carries Avak on his shoulder when the latter starts getting tired. It’s something that Avak loudly objects to, he can walk by himself he’s fine, but there’s not much he can do when he’s tossed over Reidak’s shoulder like a sack of potatoes (The protesting gets more performative over time as they develop ❤).

• Skakdi, when performing ceremonies or other occasions where armor is removed, tend to paint their scars to make them stand out more, to show what they have survived through. Due to his adaptive ability, Reidak doesn't have a lot of scars, but he paints what few he has in a brilliant gold. Avak has a lot of scars from the Shadowed One’s “masters of pain”, and while he has every right to show off that he could survive that, he believes those scars are nothing to be proud of, so never paints them.

• Avak gives off a lot of body heat but doesn’t retain it very well, a stiff breeze will get him shivering all over again. Reidak retains what little body heat he has very well, which translates to him curling up around Avak like a cat when things get cold.

• As many have HC’d before me, Reidak has a very distinctly cockney accent, and he starts using rhyming slang when he’s being sarcastic or getting especially pissy.

• Avak has a hormone imbalance of some variety, due to a separate headcanon that I didn't expect to overlap with him.

It started with me HC’ing that female skakdi had thagomizers at the ends of their tails. Both because they’re rad as hell and it adds dimorphism in a species that I imagine doesn’t have a lot of (I'm biased bc I like big burly ladies).

Then, as I was trying to figure out how to draw Avak…

All the other Piraka don't have tails like that, it’s just him. It’s not a full thag, they tend to be spikier, but that little leaf shape cemented the idea in my mind.

• Reidak’s claustrophobia extends to getting tied up, mainly pinning his arms to his sides, and being in tight crowds.

• Avak gets tinnitus something awful, it comes with the territory of using and making guns for a living, especially if prototypes blow up in one’s face. The aforementioned “masters of pain” probably didn’t help.

• The shape on Reidak’s forehead isn't a third eye, it just happens to look like it. But he absolutely pretends that it is to scare the hell out of people who don’t know better.

• Avak would fucking love Rammstein. I have no idea why, it just feels right.

warning, this is a huge autism rant LOL

addison era: i havent headcanoned much about his addison self tbh... the most ive got is hes transmasc and is very bird-like with feathers.....also cat-like too. i think the addisons in general act like that. another headcanon i have is that the addisons are naturally social creatures! they stick together and get depressed when alone, which is sad to think about considering the CircumstancesTM

big shot era: i think spamton during this era was at his highest career wise, and his lowest mental health wise (aside from his current mental health state). my headcanon is hed have a super inflated ego and lash out at people, but only to hide the deep rooted insecurity from knowing he only became successful from a phone. i imagine hed also feel paranoid and constantly anxious at the thought of losing it all, which ended up happening. the social nature of being an addison prolly also contributed to his decline since the addisons left him. so hed stick by the phone not only for advice, knowledge, etc... but for some type of social contact, albeit incomprehensible.

puppet era: this is the most confusing one for me. i still to this day do not know how he became a puppet, if the addisons are puppets, when he became a puppet, etc... its such a confusing thing to wrap my head around. im a big fan of the acid theory and that it kinda melted him away ! however, i dont think it made him shorter bc he states he was always small in the qna, i believe... another theory that could be plausible is the force behind the phone slowly turned him into a puppet as like a "you get success, but only if i get to control you" type curse. idk! its a confusing timeline. regardless, i love his current form the most, aside from sneo. i think hes ageless, but still has the energy and features of a late 40-early 50 year old dude. i draw him with a receding hairline and damage to his puppet body. still transmasc also!

a huge thing i adore about his character is how unapologetically evil he is. he doesnt hide it, he admits hes evil and/or uses you for evil (in snowgrave). and the thing that fucks me up the most is, he had that thornring planned REGARDLESS OF THE ROUTE which is so scary. like if you beat his ass, hes like "whoa there dude! at least buy my ring! fuck you!" and runs off. that and the fact he kept trying to get that neo body. he is so desperate that he has multiple plans to get that body for god knows what.

also the trans allegories for him!!!!!!! love it!!!! like him really hating his puppet body and wanting to be bigger.... or like when u put the emptydisk in the mannequin with the dress, only for it to not wanna go in. like yeah it could be a interpreted as him wanting to go into sneo and not the mannequin, but given his connection to mettaton, who has some heavy trans allegories, i think it has more meaning than just "this isnt sneo!!!!" .,,, also the fact he gets such intense euphoria from being sneo. godddd i love trans spamton allegories!!!!!

spamton neo: my second favorite (almost first favorite) form of spamton. incomprehensible armor, but still killin it with those heeled boots!!!!! girlboss honestly

post sneo fight, i always found it interesting how his ark ends in a less hopeful, and more existentially dreadful manner. it almost feels unnecessarily cruel, but i think that the sad ending to his story is essential to get that hopeless "your choices dont matter" theme across. it also just shows how his hubris fucked him over in the end no matter what he did. ALSO HE DID NOT DIE!!!! people keep saying he died. he didnt. he literally has dialogue if u fill your inventory where hes like "bro???" so like. i think he just kinda gave up and turned into an item on his own accord, like jevil.

however, my favorite iteration of sneo is snowgrave. it really shows how genuinely fucking evil spamton is. he literally tries to stop you from being evil so HE can be evil, its so fucking awesome KJDJGSNKJSDNG

but like. fuck man, the dialogue is crazy good??? just peaking into his actual thoughts and insecurities and absolute self hate... muah. and getting that info from him self projecting onto kris? MUAH!!!!! i think its such a perfect battle for sneo because of how he tries to evade responsibility and hatred toward himself, or at least tries to make it sting less, by self projecting it onto kris. he hates kris, yeah, but its mostly just hatred toward himself, what hes become, and how far hes fallen from grace. and him trying to claw his way back to being successful- no BEYOND successful- and into world domination, is fucking harrowing. he is a fucking force of nature in the form of a YTP puppet.

i adore everything about the buildup to snowgrave sneo, the environmental storytelling, everything!!! it was only recently that i realized the scribbly lines around the mansion were his glitched advertisements.

also another thing that fucks me up: he killed his ex friend by proxy. absolute insane behavior its so. ohhmygod. i also love the connections to noelle and her being an angel. an angel sent to help him reach heaven... godddddd i love this shit

another thing i find so fascinating: his glitched speak in his sneo form is not as incomprehensible? its so eerie. hes like... he can better communicate his thoughts better and more coherently, which is genuinely so freaky because youre just so used to his nonsensical bullshit so its like. whoa. he was There Mentally all along, he just couldnt say it because of how fucked up and glitchy he was.

yes, i do believe he is like Completely There Mentally throughout the entire game. hes crazy as fuck, but he hasnt lost grasp on reality like jevil has. spamton has multiple plans concocted to get what he wants. hes smart! he knows what hes doing, and thats fucking Horrifying.

im tired of people saying he isnt evil or that hes just misunderstood. like yeah his circumstances are so unbelievably sad, but hes not some precious little creature who deserves to be protected... he is evil!!!!! he is evil and uses people to kill, or straight up tries to kill you himself! whether it be for freedom or his own demented plans of world domination!!!! and he outright says hes evil!!! he knows hes evil and doesnt give a shit, fuck, or damn!!!!
