you were with shuichi in the library for a project.

this time around, you actually got to choose your partner. because kokichi looked like he was going to choose someone else other than you, you quickly snatched shuichi before he was taken ; guaranteeing a good grade.

kokichi, actually, was pining for you. but he didn’t wanna seem too desperate, since you’d teased him the day before for being clingy.

after you and shuichi made arrangements, kokichi approached you asking if you were with shuichi already — your answer being yes.

he tried everything from guilt tripping to fake about - to - cry - watery eyes to make you change your partner from shuichi to him. but your decision was final, mostly not wanting shuichi to think you changed your mind because of something he did.

so, kokichi decided to make sure you two weren’t doing anything other than working. so he watched from behind a bookshelf in the little gap between the books.

you and shuichi spoke in hushed tones, working side by side in close proximity.

even worse ( to kokichi at least ), you seemed so happy.

not miffed or annoyed like you were most of the time with kokichi, even if it was just playful.

kokichi felt anger boiling up. especially when shuichi's hand grazed over yours in that annoyingly gentle manner of his.

you both looked like a couple to anyone who passed by, which by the way, wasn’t much since it was sort of late in the day.

probably the only reason why no one caught kokichi being a creep —

anyways, he was pissed. but that pissed off mindset slowly began letting in some other thoughts - mostly of insecurity.

what did he do wrong? why didn’t you ask him first to be partners? is he overthinking? why are you smiling like that? why don’t you smile like that around him? why was he - that stupid, dumb detective - better?

kokichi left with muddled thoughts, as the sound of you and shuichi laughing at something echoed in his ears.

for the next couple of days, kokichi ignored you and went to kaede to hang out. “take out two birds with one stone,” he’d thought to himself.

your expressions of confusion sparked a pang of guilt, but kokichi stomped them down. you could go be with shuichi for all he cared.

you gave up the day after that, going to shuichi for company.

and that went on for half a week, until kokichi decided to confront you.

he knocked on your dorm room and waited. when your face appeared after the door creaked open, you were met with kokichi’s expressionless face.

“can we talk?”

you let him inside, and he cut to the chase.

“are you cheating on me with shuichi?”

you’re just … kind of shocked he would propose that idea. of course, you deny it.

kokichi shrugs. “oh really? well you two are being so awfully mushy with each other i just figured that maybe you both were making out behind my back! or worse!”

“the fu - ” you rolled your eyes, thinking that maybe this was just him seeking attention again or just some prank to make you feel guilty so that he could get something in return.

but another look at his face made you rethink that. this wasn’t a lie. he was really serious.

“kokichi. i would never cheat on you.”

“well, you looked soooo much happier with that bozo! you might as well, go on, go hook up with shuichi! i know you want to!”

you scoffed unintentionally. “you really think that low of me? are you kidding me, kokichi?!”

he raises his voice. then you raise your voice. both sides make ( some ) valid points, yours accusing kokichi of being a crap head and kokichi accusing you of being gushy and kissy over shuichi.

then the more hurtful stuff comes out. things that anger had coated that just come out for no reason, just to be able to hurt the other person and stop the fight for a momentary break.

“i don’t even know why i dated you in the first place, you’re ugly and you have a shitty personality!! even kaede looks better than you!!!”

silence. the most choking sound when applied in certain situations.

kokichi’s eyes widened as he replayed what he’d said.

that big bullshit comment that made the firing stop.

he saw tears forming in your eyes. “so, all those times where you told me i was the most beautiful in your eyes was all a lie, huh?” you said bitterly, shoving back a sob from escaping your mouth. not now. “go … just go away. i don’t wanna see your face ever again.”

Fake dating to piss off Shuichi's parents

Clown: Thinking about shuichi lamenting to his friends about his parents always needling him about a girlfriend/ getting a different job/ settling down. And he makes the vauge suggestion of considering taking anyone home just to shut them up And (maybe rantaro) goes "haha, I know someone who would make them lose their minds for like…30 dollars and free dinner" And it's Ouma It's always Ouma The first text he ever recieves from ouma is, "Soo…my dearly beloved to be, how bad do you want this to go?" "Absolutely horrid." "Splendid."

Checkers: He shows up in clown makeup pulls up to their driveway in his little clown car honks at then with his clown nose

Beez: oh you know what would be funny if shuichis parents had to take him w them to some kind of event or wtv n to make him not look like a loser they tell him he needs a date

Checkers: RUIN THEIR IMAGE jokes on them they’re the real losers here

Apollo: Kokichi makes little cue cards with all the problematic things he's learnt about Shuichi's parents and idly flashes them at random people to spread the news

Beez: HE DOES THE STUPID HIGH SCHOOL PRANK TAPING A PAPER ON THEIR BACKS "WE'RE SHIT PARENTS" Clown: He's causing scandals left and right

Dra: No but it would be so funny if he wasn't [wearing a clown nose] and still managed to get the sound by touching his nose/pl Clown: AJSGSH Its a skill!! Along with the several handkerchiefs he hacks up onto the floor

Apollo: Shuichi: WHY DIDN'T YOU WARN ME? Rantaro: Since when have my friends ever been normal? Clown: Rantaro is watching this from home. Sipping his tea as he watches the news roll in Dra: He complains but he actually loves it

Beez: they gotta pretend they like kokichi too they have an image to maintain they are so happy for their son and his ugly fucking boyfriend theyre serious Sini: They are so pro gay rights Clown: Their clenching their teeth so hard they bleed but "oohh they're sooo happy their son has found love" Apollo: Shuichi's embarrassed by the stories Kokichi is making up but seeing his parents in pain? It makes it the embarrassment worth it

Clown: I have the image of ouma stretching idly as he tell the reporter " Oh me? Psh! I'm actually an adult entertainer. Mhm! You won't believe how far the clown niche gets ya, mhm, real freaks out there. This? honk drives them bonkers. These kind folks are so understanding of my line of work!" He absolutely feeds a different story to every reporter

Apollo: Sure…People talk about what sort of…Things Shuichi are into considering his boyfriend says that sort of shit but hey…If it's pissing off his parents, he'll let Kokichi to claim to do whatever the fuck he wants He uses the fact he's multilingual to his advantage as well.

Sini: “These young celebrities are in love with me!” “One bad joke is all it takes, trust me” “These people have no humour! That’s humorous on its own, really! So charming” Clown: "Oh they've been sooo welcoming. They only tried to pay me off once?? Twice??"

Checkers: He’s reciting a waffle recipe in Spanish Reading out loud a Russian translation of My Immortal Clown: He's sobbing the entire time like its something emotional Apollo: He comes up with 'pet names' to use during interviews. The interviewers think it's super sweet…Until they see the comments pointing out that Kokichi was just saying random words Checkers: He is passionately defending pineapple on pizza. In Italian Clown: Omg, nicknames ranging from the classic "babe" to "my combusted inflamed refrigerator on wheels " And shuichi has to stutter his way through something equally as bad And yet the faces of pure rage on his parents face lend him strength he didn't know possible Apollo: Interviewer: Aww so sweet Interviewer, reading the comments: Why was he calling Shuichi a soda covered stress toy??? What is wrong with today's youth? [my reply to Apollo's message] that sounds kinky

Clown: I love the thought of this starting out as ouma leading the charge. He's throwing out ideas he hopes shuichi picks up. But as the night goes on the last remaining fucks shuichi gives fly out the window. And he is absolutely going all out. Ouma nearly stumbles in keeping up with the absolutely insanity shuichi has awakened in himself and he may be swooning Sini: HE’S CREATED A BEAUTIFUL MONSTER Apollo: Shuichi's gone from the awkward attempting to flirt back stage to the You're actually sorta cute so I'm going to put effort into this stage in like one night and Kokichi is shook Checkers: Saiharizz but it’s just unhinged insanity Beez: the most effective rizz on kokichi tbh Sini: Shuichi: evil unhinged laughter Kokichi: [heart eyes] “I will make my parents eat their own shit” “….So are you free later-?”

Clown: All it takes is realizing how afraid his parents are of breaking their facade and hes pulling ouma to the corner, absolute giddy realization happening in his anxiety ridden husk of a body as he frantically says "Did you see their faces?? Ouma did you see how mad they were?? Haha! Oh my god! They can't do anything to me. I can do anything" Apollo: Kokichi is internally screaming because holy fuck a cute guy just dragged him into a corner are they gonna kiss? No? Oh well, hearing him realise how he can do anything is just as good Me: this is a fake dating scenario, of course they're going to kiss, just not in a corner, that would be against the point, do it in front of everyone Sini: Kokichi: “I can fix him” Bitch, I did, and that was by making him worse Clown: He may be going mad with power Just a little Will shuichi regret this in the morning? He doesn't CARE. That's future him's problem. He's having FUN Rantaro is lowkey impressed by how fast Shuichi has managed to lose it Sini: Rantaro is dramatic [rolling eyes emoji] He’s fine. He’s his best self rn Ignore the maniacal giggling

Apollo: Shuichi manages to get his hands on some soda, something he's not allowed a lot so his 'teeth aren't ruined' or some bullshit…Man's on a trip Sini: He really is in his rebellious teen phase rn He will eat after midnight HA He will drink alcohol He will tag a building He will post embarrassing photos on a burner account

Apollo: Rantaro: What the hell Kokichi? Kokichi: It was one cup! Shuichi: [h y p e r]

Sini: “I feel so alive! Why haven’t I tried this before!? This is great! Fuck coffee, this is my life blood!” He’s been deprived Too much You give him a taste of something new and he goes wild

Clown: On one hand, shuichi has never looked happier, on the other, his eyes show a manic energy that is just a wee bit spooky Sini: Kokichi isn’t sure if he should be concerned or aroused Clown: Just one moment, a single moment for shuichi, grinning, tells ouma honestly "thank you for this" and its over for one kokichi ouma Sini: He is on the floor Shuichi is poking him

Me: sugar rush Shuichi just dips Kokichi and kisses him while showing a middle finger to the camera Clown: Shuichi offers a very nervous peck on the cheek initially and by the end he's dragging ouma halfway over the table to kiss him passionately on the lips in front of his parents

Clown: The aftermath may be less fun But it was so worth it Sini: It’s like a hangover lmao Wtf did he do last night? Clown: He wakes up feeling empty, shakey, strangely shirtless in a bed he doesn't recognize, theres a lingering feeling of impending dread and his phone is buzzing nonstop. Still. He feels so satisfied with himself. He smells like grape soda Sini: He smells like….Him Clown: YES. That and he's blanking on the memory of him toppling over the soda tower at the end of the night Apollo: He sees Kokichi and internally freaks out because What the fuck did we DO? but he then learns when he fell into the soda tower, his shirt got all gross and Kokichi being the everloving boyfriend he is, washed it…Well got someone else to wash it but yeah

Clown: Reality may be creeping up on him in the background but the phones been chucked to the side for now Ouma grins at him and goes "I never got the dinner you promised" and shuichi grins back Apollo: They're fucking dorks. Meanwhile, the Saiharas are attempting damage control, Shuichi's uncle is supportive but also god damn it did it have to go like this and the internet is fucking blowing up Clown: Need Miu to be watching her daily drama channel in the morning with a bowl of cereal and the first thing she sees is ouma's face and she does a spit take Apollo: She starts ringing him but he's not paying attention Clown: Kaito minding his buisness when he sees "Former child actor gone rouge" and it's just shuichi cackling maniacally Apollo: Kokichi is hovering in the background all smug like, dressed in the most horrible outfit despite the stylists trying to make him look nice. Clown: He loves to watch the world BURN From a distance, as shuichi and him take the time to tentatively start to know each other in the aftermath Sini: More so Shuichi causing the world to burn Me: Me: some paparazzi takes photos of them on that dinner they go out on and the relationship gets solidified in the media's eyes Clown: YES. If someone spreads a picture of them at some run of the mill diner in the morning for some breakfast. Hair unbrushed. Ouma still has remains of clown makeup. Shuichis eyeliner is smudged all over. Shuichi is shoving a cinnamon roll into oumas mouth mid rant with the biggest smile on his face.

Apollo: Maki, waking up because her Ouma Sense is going off: Who has that brat gone after this time? Maki knew Shuichi would be getting a fake date for some event. She switches on the tv, sees the bastard of the orphanage she grew up in and just turns it off Shuichi says he wants to introduce Kokichi to his best friends and he and Maki lock eyes. Kokichi: ["*chuckles* I'm in danger." gif]

Clown: She can't be too mad!! Look at shuichis face!! Thats pure joy right there!! Maki begrudgingly accepts and oumas like" sOB I knew you loved me!!! " Apollo: She does hit Kokichi over the back of the head later and then gives him a shovel talk. Shuichi is confused when Maki hands him one of those backpack leash things Clown: Maki, deadpan,"you'll need it." Me: she's a little confused about who needs a leash atm

Clown: I am thinking of the end of the night immeadiately after. Shuichi did not expect to go that far. And as he's calming down. The jitters come back. His phone is a death sentence. He's obsessively waiting for the ringing to start.

Ouma leads him to the bus stop, shuichi drove them there but its just not the time. Ouma wants to live thank you.

Drenched in sweat, and soda, and oumas pockets being stuffed with cake they ride together silently. Shuichi barely even thinks to ask where their going. Reloading his notifications again and again.

Shuichi is hugging his knees. He barely remembers sitting on oumas bed. He's still hugging his knees. "I-" he breaks out into nervous giggles, "I screwed up didn't I?"

And kokichi sighs, it's silent between them before kokichi erupts into laughter. "You were amazing!" He insists, and he's so absolutely giddy. Nearly in awe. It's hard for the doubts to eat at him when ouma looks at him like he hung the moon and the stars. "You were amazing."

And ouma teases him relentlessly, and shuichi is too busy being embarassed to let himself fall into regret. He ultimately falls asleep peacefully in a bed that isn't his and ouma yawns and steps away to sleep on the couch.

Bonus:

Beez: saiou pulling fake proposals in restaurants to get free dessert thats it Hina: Kokichi initiates them Shuichi tries for real and Kokichi thinks he's joking Beez: damn the dessert must look good if shuichis the one proposing for it Ves: they just move on shuuichi thinks they're engaged kokichi thinks he was doing a bit Me: 1) do it AFTER they're married 2) have their actual proposal in privacy, duh. On the first day that you guys met, you were a bit too ‘clingy’.

It was odd, but she just assumed that you were just being overly friendly and acted like that with everyone.

Well, she didn’t exactly see you interact with anyone else but her.

In the morning, you were always standing at the door of her dorm room.

“Good morning Kaede! I see you’re ready to head to the dining hall, we should go there together!”

“Er…How long have you been standing here?”

“About 30 minutes.”

The odd thing about it is that you seemed to not notice anything wrong with the way you acted.

“You don’t see anything weird about that?”

Kaede asked you, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

“Nope!” You exclaimed as you grabbed her hand and started walking towards the school.

She was definitely feeling fear rise in her stomach, what was stopping you from killing her on the spot?

“You look so cute today! Did you do something new with your hair?”

Kaede was surprised, she did infact do a new thing with her hair. But, it was very hard to see.

“Wow, you really pay attention to me that much? I’m flattered, Y/N.”

“Of course I do! I watch you every single day.”

That’s when Kaede stopped walking, all of the alarms went off in her head.

“W-watch me? What do you mean ‘you watch me daily’?”

“Well, I watch you play piano, talk to Shuichi, sleep-“

“SLEEP?” Kaede cut you off once she heard that you watch her sleep.

“Not only are those things you just mentioned you weren’t there for. But, sleep?! What the fuck…?”

“Of course I watch you sleep, doesn’t everyone watch people rest?”

“NO. No, no, no! Only creeps do that.”

“Oh. Good thing I’m not a creep.”

She looked up at you, stepping away slowly.

“Sorry about this, but I think it’s best if I walk to the dining hall…alone…”

You asked as she sprinted away from you.

Little did she know, this wasn’t the last she’d see you at her front door.

Nobody really paid any attention to him, but you did.

He was very observant of his surroundings, and well, you weren’t the best at hiding.

He looked at you dead in the eye as you were trying to hide in a bush.

He feels flattered that you’re so interested in him, It’s very unusual for him.

Korekiyo was planning his infamous ‘seesaw attack’ as he messed with the floorboards.

“Hey Kiyo!”

He turned around as he saw you standing right behind him with a big grin on your face.

“W-what the-? How did you get in?! I locked the door!”

“I couldn’t get in so I took off the door, duh!”

Kiyo looked behind you to see that you quite literally used a screwdriver to unscrew the door off.

“Anyways, what are you doing?”

He knew he couldn’t actually tell you what he was doing, that would fuck up his entire plan.

But, he was very aware of your obsession with him, so perhaps you could help him.

“Hm, well Y/N, I’m working on an ‘experiment’ with these floorboards. I’m trying to see if they’re are capable of harming a human being.”

“Of course they’re capable of harming people, Kiyo. I’m not stupid. Tell me the truth.

Gosh darn it, he really did think that excuse would work with you.

It felt like his only option was to tell you the truth, if you didn’t want to help afterwards, he could just kill you.

“If you insist, I shall give you the truth, I’m setting up a murder trap.”

You stared at him, thinking to yourself if you should, run or stay.

It wasn’t completely morally correct to stay and help, but you stalking him proved that you barely have morals.

“Can I help?”

“Of course, Y/N.”

Korekiyo proceeded to win the killing game and live a good life. You died with all the others.

okay, we chatted about Desmond in otome games. Let's me give you one called KIssed by The Baddest Bidder.

Let's say Desmond got burned by the Eye indeed and his body is taken by Abstergo and next thing Desmond woke up, revived and full of rage in an empty operating room. He wants to hide and settle for something normal but the bleeds of his ancestors' tragic life makes him wanna avenge them some way and he disappeared. Thus leading what begun a mysterious purge to those certain people who work in Abstergo, huge headlines in the news and articles about it.

In the global crime underworld, an uprising faceless individual, mysterious and ominous with an alias name " The Grim Reaper". Mafias and criminals can gain a favor from him as long it aligns his goals. After the purge that went for 2 years, he once again disappeared like smoke.

Desmond starts his retirement as a cleaner in the day shift and a bartender at the night shift in the Tres Spades Hotel. He also ended saving a girl from strange men and now he's being sold in a black market auction as replacement for the girl who broke some glass statue. Sold 20 million is that he worth and they are VIPs in the hotel???? so much for peace and quiet.

Love interests in the game:

Eisuke Ichinomiya - mmmmmm. boss x worker that piques his interest. what if Coralina and her father recognizes Desmond a lookalike of a lord in Monteriggioni

Soryu Oh - used Desmond for some sort of escort or servant for Mei Ling. Yet Desmond acts a bodyguard like wtf how can he shoot with perfect accuracy and track people easily.

Mitsunari Baba - master thief x retired master assassin / hitman. Baba found the perfect partner in stealing albeit by force. what's this he walks silently, can find the target treasures easily. Why does his eyes seem to glint gold in the faint light at night? Baba is a flirt and womanizer yet Desmond is unexpected with witty sexual innuendos that makes Baba blush

Ota Kisaki - a scene where that two faced artist might sneak a peek Desmond's small notebook that he dropped accidentally. Ota opened to see beautiful pencil and pen drawn sketches of people and places. A castle, a fortesss, a homestead. People with a cowl and some don't. Cue Ota felt a chill and turned to see Desmond looking at him with a neutral face but his eyes are furious.

Mamoru Kishi - police man x retired assassin. enough said but make it mamoru aware of the a cold case of abstergo purge and look at Desmond's behavior like he can't... can he??????

Shuichi Hishikura politician x retired assassin. Desmond philosophical talks might make him think twice or shock him with small hints of secret history as playful jokes. Jokes right?????

Hikaru Aihara - working assassin x retired assassin. Desmond knows definitely about his work. Would be a nice scene where Hikaru knows the Grim Reaper or had heard or seen him work. Made a positive remarks in the strory telling and Desmond just internally laughs cos that's me but shhhhh

Luke Foster - probably angst and slow burn cos he's a doctor and desmond already have too many bad experiences with doctors and scientists

Rhion Hatter - the mad hatter.....maybe friends to lovers...

Basically just the bidders get a whiplash of what they thought is a normal and simple man named Desmond meets more than the eye HAHAHAHAHA

I’m kinda thinking of how this wouldn’t just end with Desmond going ‘fuck this shit’ and running away from whichever route he is in and the first thought I have is to stop him by pushing into his sense of duty and responsibility.

So we’re going to make Desmond have a desire for vengeance on this one.

He had simply been a retired Assassin, just living his life, when he learned that one of his coworkers died the day before the auction because he had been snooping around to find something.

Desmond learns that the killer is someone connected to the auction.

He saved the girl and agreed to be auctioned because he needs to find a way to get close to these VIPs to learn which of them killed his coworker.

Because his coworker?

… was one of the Assassins of the Japanese Brotherhood.

And that coworker was looking into the auction because one of the VIPs is actually one of the few Templars that escaped the ‘purge’.

When he learned that he was sold for 20 millions by multiple VIPs, he tried to sus them out using his Eagle Vision.

But they all glowed gold.

And that’s when Desmond has to pick one of them.

The idea is: the killer of the Assassin can be one of them or someone connected to them, the killer’s identity changes depending on which route Desmond takes. The Templar also changes into someone in the route, maybe even the main love interest.

The main point is that this keeps Desmond into keeping up the appearance of the being a ‘bought’ man, all the while having his own agenda.

Eisuke Ichinomiya – Carolina and her father are the Templars. To be more exact, her father is a Templar but she’s being ‘educated’ as one. This would have an alternate ending of Desmond being able to get to Caroline and she becomes his ally. Her father knows who Desmond Miles is and mistakes this to mean that Eisuke has allied with the Brotherhood.

Soryu Oh – The Templars would be after Mei Ling and Desmond gets to the bottom of it which ends up being messy af because Simon Lee actually has connection with the Assassins in China for some reason. The Ice Dragon is also connected with the Japanese Brotherhood.

Mitsunari Baba – Mitsunari’s next target turns out to be a POE and his informant is the Templar and killer. Desmond taking the POE instead of him will be the main cause of conflict between the two of them.

Ota Kisaki – This is one where Desmond would probably end up taking a more aggressive role because he’s not going to be a pet after the hell he went through from Abstergo and William Miles. Ota trying to talk to him like an unruly dog (maybe even call him a mutt) would end with Desmond punching him which will surprise Ota but also make Desmond interesting.

Mamoru Kishi – Mamoru is super sus of Desmond from the get go and Desmond thinks of him as a dirty cop so they’re not off to a good start. Part of their relationship arc would be Desmond finding out why Mamoru is more on the morally dubious side than plain dirty and Mamoru’s main conflict would be learning about Desmond’s past as the spree killer that singlehandedly taken down Abstergo and plunged the company to ruins by killing high ranking members after he had already fallen in love with Desmond.

Shuichi Hishikura – He and Desmond gets into debates more often than not. Desmond doesn’t have a good track records with politicians and people in power to govern the people so Desmond certainly pretends to be polite but he’s wary of Shuichi. Shuichi sees him as being bright though and thinks he might have a knack for politics which makes Desmond shiver in disgust.

Hikaru Aihara – This one would be more on Hikaru knowing there’s something more about Desmond but he can’t be sure but Desmond has heard of him. The Brotherhood had actually given him a head’s up because he’s a ‘freelancer assassin’. They were coworkers before he bought Desmond so they know each other and Desmond is suspicious that Hikaru might have been hired to kill the Assassin by a Templar.

Luke Foster – Desmond’s probably going to be flirty with him, might even slip and call him dottore more than once. Since he works in a secretive clinic that does back alley surgery, there’s a high possibility that Luke is actually an ally of the Brotherhood, not that Desmond knew that. He's comfortable with Luke sometimes because Ezio's Bleed makes him remember the doctors who didn't ask too many questions and simply healed him. Luke is actually keeping it a secret from Desmond because he believes Desmond is just caught up in all these because he’s trying to protect a girl and Desmond believes Luke is hiding something which means he needs to be cautious about him (this would be angst + slow burn + misunderstanding galore XD)

Rhion Hatter – considering he’s half English and the son of a duke, we can make him a Templar. If you don’t want a Templar x Assassin drama for this one, his grandmother could be the Templar and he ran away from her which makes him and Desmond have similar… family ‘problems’. XD

Oh, are we talking about trans headcanons??? I see someone already mentioned transfem Kazuichi, which I'm a pretty big fan of! But have you guys considered transfem Fuyuhiko? I think there's a lot of potential in that - in the fact that even in canon there's a lot of him not feeling like he really fits as the Ultimate Yakuza, and that he has to play a role to be so... I think it lends well to a transfem headcanon. Another I could see would be transfem Mondo, with how much in canon he plays up the masculinity, it could be something preformative in a transfem headcanon. I'm also a fan of transfem Kokichi & Shuichi, too - I've seen people headcanon the both of them as nonbinary, transfem, AND transmasc, and honestly? Love that for them, tbh.

I also am a big fan of transfem Makoto!!! I usually headcanon him as genderfluid, but I could also see him be a trans demigirl, tbh. I respect transmasc headcanons too even if I don't usually ascribe to them for Makoto specifically! I kind of like to think that the fact that Makoto's door gets stuck is a very funny quirk of fate in the event of him being genderfluid/nonbinary - even his door, which is supposed to be a men's one, doesn't ascribe to a binary! & Makoto using she/they/he pronouns is so real to me.

I also love to see Kiibo exploring pronouns in fics. Like, in canon they use he/him (at least in the localization) but I like to believe they experiment with different ones for a while, just to see if they like them.

I also tend to see Hajime as nonbinary, using he/they pronouns too! That's not exactly a transfem headcanon, but yeah.

I also love the idea of nonbinary kaede as well - using she/they pronouns. Maybe in the event of transfem Shuichi or Kokichi, she helps them explore their gender at first.

I could also see Tsumugi as being genderfluid or otherwise genderqueer in some way - she defaults to she/her but she doesn't mind other pronouns, and oftentimes go with he/him when complying a male character.

This one's more controversial, but I also love the idea of nonbinary Junko with possible internalized transphobia. Like, I think the fact that she keeps making alter egos that are male (Monokuma, Shirokuma, and Kurokuma) lends well to this, but I also keep going back to that line monokuma said about being neither male nor female because there's no gender in the animal kingdom. Incredibly nonbinary thing to say. Of course, I think how Junko handles being nonbinary is somewhat dependent on what you headcanon Chihiro as - but if you headcanon Chihiro as a transwoman and Junko as transphobic towards her, it could somewhat be from internalized transphobia- like, her having the idea that "if I'm fine with being a woman even though I feel like this about it, you should be fine with your assigned sex too!" Or even the idea that she cannot fathom why someone would WANT to be a woman in the first place - like, what reason would you have to subject yourself to it if not malicious ones or weakness? Since she is so disconnected or even discontent from "womanhood". If you see Chihiro as nonbinary, Junko not understanding or even being bitter that they get to reject the binary but she doesn't could also make sense, and her putting them in the "male" box would almost be from jealousy and spite. If you headcanon Chihiro as a transmale, it becomes a) somewhat hilarious that Junko, the big bad of the series, accepts their gender and b) Chihiro could be the person who teaches her about this stuff in a pre-despair setting, and maybe even make her realize she's nonbinary. I know it's.... slightly problematic to headcanon the main villain of the series who has shown she is possibly transphobic (depending on how you see Chihiro again) as trans, but I think it's... fine if you also headcanon other characters as so and not just the villains. Plus, I'm nonbinary myself, so I think it's allowed.

Those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head! I love trans headcanons <3

There's so much good stuff here!! I can't address all of it, but a couple of my favorites:

I LOOOVE transfem Mondo, it's one of my absolute favorite transfem headcanons. The way it changes that trial from "horrifying trans panic" to "the tragedy of someone with extensive internalized transphobia meeting someone who is further along on their journey and lashing out in unrealized jealousy, ultimately destroying the version of themself they wish to be"...MWAH. The type of tragedy that can only belong to someone transitioning. The consequences of self loathing, both in harming others and harming ourselves, made manifest! But with GENDER.

I'm sure this is just part of the rest of that line, but the phrase "they canonically use he/him pronouns" is so funny. Power to K1-B0 for being incomprehensible wrt gender just in general. Love that agender kid

I am actually a big fan of transmasc Junko! (And I'll use he/him for Junko real fast to emphasize this point) I think the idea of Junko as someone who experiences a huge amount of dysphoria when he's perceived as feminine, who then goes out of his way to present himself as a champion of gyaru culture and hyper-femininity, making it so that, even if he one day receives the mental health treatment he obviously needs, he will always be associated with this incredibly female-oriented culture...that's despair. That's the type of shit you do at rock bottom. I have BEEN there my man. EDIT:

The Naegi's have this subconscious blue-and-orange moral code of: ‘Aslong as you don't commit the atrocities infront of me, I'll be your friend!’

Shuichi mirrors whatever moral code of the person he's with (also please explain if you can)

So what weird morality do the other protags (Hajime and Kaede) have?

Kaede has an intense "Do what needs to be done, ends justify the means" and Hajime very much has a bit of "if i get mine thats all that matters" attitude but hes fixing that towards the end of his game

To better explain Shuichi I first need to establish that Shuichi is on some level a neglected child, his parents were never around and while his uncle and him seem to get long theres also a lot of...professional respect? which isnt quite what a kid needs. He's a neglected kid. We aren't sure to exactly what extent, but we know he has a past of parental abandonment and struggles to make connections.

As such it's not uncommon for kids with issues with neglect or ostracization to develop issues with dependency. Clinging onto those that treat them well and kindly over their own sense of morality. Kids with pasts like that also tend to become people pleasers, acting as agreeable and kind as possible to people to try and make them stay. Predicting behaviors and thought patters and molding themselves around them as a survival tactic.

Shuichi as a child of neglect is very much someone who will do what his friends think is right instead of whats actually right, for instance you can see this when he had long since figured out Kaede was the culprit but REFUSED to say anything until Kaede gives him permission. Even with multiple lives including his own on the line Shuichi still defaults to Kaede's desires and commands.

While not the exact term for what I think Shuichi is doing, a similar term is known as the Fawn instinct, the fourth f to fight flight freeze. Which can be used to better understand why Shuichi does things that goes against his own shown moral code and often puts himself into a servant position so goddamn often he had the entire cast calling him a masochist for it

"The fawn response, a term coined by therapist Pete Walker, describes (often unconscious) behavior that aims to please, appease, and pacify the threat in an effort to keep yourself safe from further harm." -healthline

Shuichi is a person desperate to be loved, and will do anything to protect those he thinks cares about him, even at the cost of his life and the life of everyone else here. Morality is second to the whims of those he cares for. So while alone he would bandage up Kokichi as seen in his free time events, when with Maki that morality is dismissed for what Maki wants.

He starts to grow out of this mindset over the course of the game, seen especially in chapter 4 when he manages to go against Kaito in the trial, but even then it takes a lot of time and effort to break a habit and pattern of survival behavior, and it shows in his struggles.

Finally my first official amasai post on Tumblr and I'm about to be annoying because it's finally Amasai week!!!! (@amasaiweek )

Day 1 - Crush (accidentally snuck in some of day 5 (confession) too but it's alright because I have something else planned for that day)

"What if he talked about someone else? He could have mentioned so many other names!"

"That's the thing, I didn't."

Day 1 - Crush / Non-killing game (college) au

"Shuichi! Wake up already geez!" A familiar voice called out to him beyond the door.

"What is it Kaede?!" He tiredly called out.

"I have word from Rantaro for you! Get your ass up already!" She shouted.

As soon as Shuichi heard the name "Rantaro" he immediately had gotten up and shoved on whatever clothes he had lying around from the night before rushing to his bathroom to brush his teeth and neatly do his hair.

"You better not be in bed still Shuichi!" Quickly rinsing his mouth, he ran out of his bathroom to answer his door.

"You are so impatient Kaede.. Anyways what happened?" He replied finally.

"Well~ I overheard him talking to his friends about his crush and I may have heard him sneak a Shuichi in his words.." Kaede grinned as she spoke while Shuichi looked at her dumbfounded before shaking it off and replying back to her.

"What if he talked about someone else? He could have mentioned so many other names!"

"That's the thing, I didn't."

Almost jumping from the sudden voice, Shuichi walked out of his room to find Rantaro standing in the corner of the living room of Shuichi and Kaede's shared dorm room.

"Thanks Kaede, I'll just be a few minutes then I'll be on my way." He patted her shoulders soon after making his way over to me with a soft smile plastered all over his face.

Shuichi was just stuck staring at Rantaro the whole time afterwards and was not aware of a seemingly like cotton candy blush arose on his face.

"Oh no need I have a class now anyways and then a date with Kirumi afterwards so take your time!" She smiled back at him before grabbing her bag and putting on her shoes.

"See you both later then!" Kaede cheered before walking out of the door, giving us both a wave with her usual smile. Rantaro waved back and once she had left he had turned to me.

"Can I come in?" He asked, Shuichi was still in a small panic but nodded his head to say yes regardless. He led the other boy into his room as they both sat down onto his bed.

"I heard off of a certain someone that you had the same feelings for me. So I thought why not come here so I can confirm it to you. So here goes nothing." Rantaro takes a deep breath before continuing his speech.

"I love you Shuichi and I always have, your smile and your laugh has always been gorgeous even if you are insecure about it. I find it pretty to see you so happy and enjoying yourself while being you. So please confirm these feelings back to me.."

Rantaro had now grabbed Shuichi's hands and brought them close to his chest as he had spoken. Shuichi began to make eye contact with Rantaro as he had now taken his turn in speaking.

"Rantaro... I love you too. Mainly because you've always been so patient and understanding with me even when I'm having my off days and I genuinely appreciate your support and your love. If it's okay with you.."

Shuichi takes a deep breath before saying his question carefully.

"Will you be my boyfriend Rantaro?"

Rantaro smiled at him once again and pulled him into a hug.

"Of course I will."

Just Villain Things (crack minific)

“Alright, I think we need to have a group meeting,” Compress stated as he approached the other league members shuffling about in their hideout. He stood tall with a dissatisfied look behind his mask.

“What now?” Shigaraki groaned as he slumped onto the kitchen counter, the fresh pot of coffee in front of him not brewing fast enough as far as he was concerned. Beside him, Dabi was waiting with similar impatience while Spinner rooted through the fridge and Toga hauled herself onto the countertop, lightly kicking her legs. Twice was still in bed but Compress didn’t actually have beef with him, he could enjoy his lazy morning all he wanted, unlike the rest of them.

Compress took a breath to avoid losing his temper too quickly. “I...just have some concerns about the direction our organization is headed, with all of your recent...habits.” Compress took his time choosing his words, hoping his issues would come across without him having to explain in more detail.

“Look, I know that run into the city was risky but that figure wasn’t available online!” Spinner jumped to defend himself immediately.

“Ah, no. Not that.” Compress raised his hand to soothe his wound up mutant companion. He had scolded him for pulling that stunt but that was hardly the issue that was eating at him this morning.

“Soooo, is this about someone eating your leftovers or something? Wasn’t me by the way.” Dabi quickly added that last part. You know, like how a totally not guilty person did.

“No, I- wait what?” Compress blinked at the mention his leftover takeout was gone.

“Then just spit it out. We don’t know what you’re talking about,” Shigaraki groaned, staring him down through his matted hair with irritation.

Compress huffed and tried once again to breathe and stave off his anger. He was appalled that they couldn’t even wager a guess even close to the real issue. With his friends all dumbfounded, he brought the topic up more bluntly. “Who are all of you dating?”

“Oh! You mean my sweet Ochako??” Toga offered excitedly, shameless about gushing about her darling girlfriend.

“What’s the problem? Eraserhead’s cool,” Tomura shrugged, his glare still sharp in Compress’s direction for implying anything negative about his stiff and narcoleptic boyfriend.

Dabi huffed with a smug smirk, “They’re both pretty lame in comparison.” He was of course referring to his own regular nights with the number two pro hero, Hawks; a man well known for his smooth voice, attractive features, and unmatched skill. Unknown to the public was their hot and heavy relationship, something Dabi would be more than willing to go into uncomfortable detail with if he wanted to disgust and annoy his associates. But he thankfully wasn’t feeling inclined to.

“And you’ve got a guy of your own now too, don’t ya Shuichi?” Toga beamed as she looked in Spinner’s direction. “How is he? I never hear anything,” she pressed eagerly.

Spinner froze in place, his cheeks turning pink. “Mezo...he’s just really sweet, y’know...” he fiddled with his claws bashfully as he mumbled. The minimal drama with his partner, Shoji, meant he didn’t bring it up much, and even if he did, his scaly skin would be burning hot before he could say much about their brief and fleeting nights curled up together.

“HEROES!” Compress blurted, now completely exasperated with their complete inability to grasp the point. “You’re all. Dating. Heroes.” He punctuated each word with a light smack into his palm. The four villains looked at Compress with blank looks, almost wondering why he brought that up.

“Well, duh.”

“Was that supposed to be a secret or something?”

“It was definitely not a secret for you, Dabi.”

“Did you just figure that out?”

Compress felt a vein ready to burst on his forehead. “You- honestly don’t see anything wrong with that?” he asked, trying to goat at least one of them to admit that this completely spat in the face of all of their ideals and goals.

“It’s really not that big of a deal, Mister,” Toga was the first to respond with a pouty cross of her arms. Dabi quickly chimed in as well.

“Seriously, you need to get laid, man.”

“I-! Ugh!” Compress was about to loudly protest but any words of outrage failed him as he looked between the four national terrorists who saw fit to pillow talk with their enemies.

With his tongue tied he stormed out of the kitchen to go compose himself and wonder where the hell his life went wrong...

HERE I COME WITH ANOTHER REQUEST CUCARACHIN

This happened because something similar happened to me, well it's about Shuichi coming to his partner's house (I prefer the reader to be amab although I don't care if it was gn) the thing is that it is the first time he meets his brother / the sister minor from the reader!

So while the reader is there everything is fine but then he leaves Shuichi with his brother/sister and it happens that she/he no longer behaves like an "angel", she/he literally looks at Shuichi badly, she/he questions him about what intentions he has with his brother. eldest (the reader) and all that about children who are suspicious of their older brother/sister's partner 😈

I imagine that he/she says to Shuichi: "Ah, are you his boyfriend?.." and talks to Shuichi like he's an annoying fly "I imagined.....someone different." and with a tone of voice of clear disappointment and contempt towards Shuichi, I think he would be a little sad that your boyfriend's brother/sister shows so much distrust towards him.

So when the reader comes over (went out to buy some ice cream) his/her younger brother/sister acts like before, like an "angel" so the reader does not suspect for the moment

I imagine that Shuichi then tells him what happened to his sister/brother and in the end the reader only comforts him with some kisses and hugs and laughing softly, because his younger sister/brother is only 7 years old.

you told him that your younger sibling would be there , and he reassured that he didn’t mind. after all , the most you two would do would be kissing and cuddling , nothing beyond that …

you threw on a movie to watch , since movies are great and all and it’d be perfect for you and shuichi to just be close together.

your younger sibling joined with , promising that they’d not be a hassle and sat down next to you.

then , you got up to get some snacks in the middle of you and shuichi just leaning on each other and semi - hugging.

once you were out of earshot , your sibling turned to shuichi.

“ so , you’re the guy my sibling’s so crazy over? kind of disappointing. what do you want with them anyways? ” your sibling would immediately say.

shuichi would be a bit caught off guard. like , tf do you mean “ kind of disappointing ” ?? so he’d probably respond with something like , “ oh , um … were you expecting something different from me? ”

and they’d reply with , “ well , yeah! like some hunky buff guy or something. ”

“ ah … well , sorry …? ” he’d just awkwardly apologize , since he didn’t want to offend your sibling that you spoke so nicely ( for the most part ) about.

“ so what do you want with them , huh? ” they’d ask , pressuring for him to answer.

shuichi would stutter under the pressuring glare he was put under , and he wouldn’t know how to properly answer the question. i mean , you guys were dating. why would they need to ask that? did he really look that untrustworthy?

“ plus , what’s with your weird emo look? you look straight out of my chemical romance or something. ”

“ i — what? ”

and then before he’d been able to respond , you came inside the room.

looking at your sibling’s one last glare at shuichi before redirecting to the screen , and then a look at shuichi’s troubled face , you could piece together that something had happened while you were gone.

“ everything … all right? ” you’d ask. your sibling would reply with a chirp of , “ yeah! ” while shuichi would say it more in a meekly sounding way.

hearing his tone of voice you’d go over , and after putting the snacks on the table , briefly kiss shuichi on the cheek. in the corner of his eye , he’d see your sibling’s bitter judgement of the scene.

you brushed the scene before away and focused instead on basking in shuichi’s personal warmth , as the movie soon ended and the nighttime hours came.

as he said goodbye at your doorstep , you closed the door behind you to step outside. you asked him why he looked so confused at your sibling earlier with a small smile on your face.

he’d then spill everything , and also a hint of his insecurities at not being a “ hunky buff guy ” to suit your sibling’s tastes and instead projecting a “ weird emo look ”.

you’d then start a heartfelt speech on how he was perfectly fine for you , and that your sibling’s young enough only to know the stereotypical relationship qualities on tv cartoons and such , not actual love or relationships in the real world. it didn’t matter that he wasn’t super strong or anything , and it really only mattered that it was him.

and you also reminded him that your sibling wasn’t even in middle school. then shuichi started feeling silly for his sudden feelings. you hugged and kissed him anyways , laughing lightheartedly at the situation as you let him stay over instead ; wanting him and your sibling to try to get along in this second try.

Clown: I really like the thought of it being really casual, they've found a place that's really comfortable with each other. And there's no need to pursue it immediately because there's no rush, no judgment between them hehehehe Shuichi just does it whenever he feels like and there's no expectation attached to it because they'll keep going as they are for now

Clown: Okay, okay. Shuichi arriving at the company post a messy breakup who's wary as all hell about hanging around ouma again. He doesn't wanna be hurt again. But its so easy to fall right back into the place he had with ouma and bicker despite the lingering tension. Ouma is post neet era. Took him a bit to accept help from dice and friends but he's finally breaking in there. Shuichi lighthearted asks about his plans to rule the world with his orginazation and ouma shrugs and says "I guess we grew up." They don't talk about anything until the alcohol lmao They're dapper buisness men at a soul sucking company I'm assuming aksbdkdh Where do they work actually??

Ves: i was assuming a detective agency

Dra: And what do they talk about when drunk enough [eyes emoji]

Ves: the good mediocre old times? "we were real stupid back then huh. wanna make out"

Dra: Did Ko become a detective too help

Ves: IT'S ONE OF THE BEST JOBS FOR HIM I'LL DIE ON THIS HILLLLL

Ves: did i tell you about the 'punk' one i watch a streamer who apparently started calling her husband pumpkin -> then punkin -> then just punk. i know this because when he comes in the room she says PUNK!! in the most affectionate voice and it's hilarious every time very saioucoded

Clown: Shuichi lovingly calling ouma "punk" beloved

Clown: Okay, so saiou waking up together. Do they talk about it? Or is it an unspoken thing? And will there be a dramatic scene where ouma is physically ripped from his silly little dodging commitment Era when there's a real threat he might lose shuichi forever? /hj

Dra: Maybe not forever but something happens and Shu might have to leave again and he DOES NOT want that

Ves: as the serious conversation (and coded apologies) eases down it just gets. Silly bad adult film dialogue they're both giggling like 'hmmm maybe the wind should get on over here then-' 'i sure like the feeling of the wind on my face' and they just double over wheezing they're so fucking annoying <3 their coworkers have a bigger storm coming than the snow one smh it turns out they're insanely good at solving cases together. but GOD are they obnoxious-

Clown: Everyone's walked in on them making out in the closet at least once

Dra: Can they be silly for a moment,, Kokichi tells him to close his eyes and just guides him until Shu feels better

Ves: he slaps his little babyhands over shuuichi's face "cmon, cmon, don't you trust me??"

Dra: Makes him walk into stuff for the funny/j

Apollo: Ngl, I love the 'guess we just grew up stuff' because you can angst it so fucking hard if you try hard enough

Like they always talked about ruling the world but they actually meant making a safe space for misfits like them. They wanted to change the world for the better and if at least one kid didn't have to go through what they did, it meant they'd won.

Shuichi knows this and to hear Kokichi say it was all just childish wishes? It hurts so much because Shu knows that he can help people. Hell, he's done it by becoming a detective.

Yet he gave up so easily… He's not the Kokichi he left behind that's for sure

Shuichi doesn't know how to react. Here's the guy who broke his heart (by accident mind you) who had an honestly noble dream and he just…Gave up. Kokichi Ouma gave up on something.

Now imagine this. DICE also broke up. They all decided it was time to grow up and felt they couldn't if they stayed in their silly little clown group

They have some contact with each other but have sorta drifted away like multiple friendship groups do Kokichi pretends it doesn't hurt him as much as it does

Shuichi doesn't know how to react. He can tell it hurts but he also knows Kokichi will deny it.

Theres also a tiny sick part of him that wonders if it's a good thing Kokichi is suffering at the breakup of his group because Kokichi broke his heart. Shuichi hates that part of him

LIKE A SMALL PART THINKS IT'S KARMA THEN HE WANTS TO PUNCH HIMSELF BECAUSE YEAH KOKICHI PLAYED WITH HIS FEELINGS OR WHATEVER BUT DICE WAS KOKICHI'S FAMILY AND NOW THEY'VE SPLIT UP AND KOKICHI IS THROWINFG HIMSELF INTO HIS WORK TO AN ALMOST UNHEALTHY DEGREE TO DISTRACT FROM THE LONELYNESS AND PAIN

Clown: AND PART OF HIM IS RIGHT. EVEN OUMA THINKS SO. HE KNOWS WELL ENOUGH THAT OUMA WAS ENTIRELY CAPABLE OF NOT BEING GOOD. Sometimes Ouma sucks and sometimes that has consequences. It doesn't mean he hasn't learned, but it also doesn't mean those effects went away. Ouma blames himself for a lot and somehow it hurts a bit to come to the understanding ouma's feelings aren't that far off from his own in that case They're better now tho

Apollo: They're better but it takes time Shuichi is glad that Kokichi had gotten better but those consequences are low-key permanent but at the same time, that's life Shu gives him a big hug though when he finally breaks down over it all

Clown: With ouma slowly growing distant to dice to the point where they rarely talk…I think it would partially be his own fault too.

They're family, they'll never not love each other. But they have their own lives, own goals, own families now. And so they'll never be as close as they were when the corralled behind ouma as their leader. Its a big change. And there's only so much they can do when their schedules conflict or Ouma doesn't respond to their texts.

They know Ouma, you don't spend a good chunk of your formative years together and don't learn something. And what they've learned is that ouma has to do it by himself.

He has to make the effort to reach out to them, he has to start extending his hand out to them again. They'll be waiting for when he does

Shuichi being the first push into getting him to do that and rebuild his family, its different now, but its just as good

Apollo: With Shuichi, there was no promise that he'd be coming back nor a promise he'd answer any messages but DICE? DICE was with him through thick and thin and know how his mind ticks.

They know that despite not talking to them for ages, he still cares about them.

He just doesn't want to bother them is all but thanks to reconnecting with Shuichi, he's able to reach out to them and become apart of their lives again

Ves: he's pushed himself out of his heartbroken NEET era and reconnected with shuuichi but DICE is harder DICE are divided on Shuuichi Opinions on the one hand it was super kokichi's fault they broke up. on the other SHUUICHI BROKE HIS HEART >:(

Apollo: Kokichi's right hand man eventually pulls Shu to the side to talk everything out and reminds him of how unused Kokichi is to being cared for by people other than DICE and that's why he never said 'I love you' back and just treated it like a joke. He wasn't used to be loved and still isn't in a way that's not family

Ves: "also he never got over you and if you leave him again i think he might actually die. good luck!" /J/J kokichi is so demi to me it's crazyyy he has no idea how tf to handle romantic love (or how to get over it!) it's not something that's supposed to Happen to him

Apollo: Poor Shuichi though. He got to move on and Kokichi never did

Ves: he mentions someone he dated in those intervening years and kokichi is so violently reminded of his miserable lonely NEET time that he makes up a guy

Apollo: He's just fumbling to describe this guy and Shuichi just nods along

Ves: HAHA YEAH WE BOTH HAD A LOT OF FUN HUH. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY VERY REAL VERY SEXY EX JEFFERSON RYAN GRANT HE HAS. SKIN. AND HAIR

Apollo: "Oh and we totally did alllll the sex!" "Sure Ko."

Ves: hey so they were just in an unnamed roommates situationship before right did they even HAS KOKICHI OUMA EVER KNOWN THE TOUCH OF ANOTHER

Me: no… I was under the full assumption that they did, and were dating, Kokichi just didn't believe Shuichi loves him & didn't say he loves him because of that, the pet name scene doesn't make sense otherwise, it was because he was thrown back to waking up together

Apollo: Me waking up every morning: How can I ruin the Pit's day today?

Me: today by trying to make Ouma a virgin, apparently, but I won't let you they fucked, I know this in my heart, it's okay of course they were fucking, they were roommates, fucking is a lot easier than talking about feelings bet they even had a situation (or multiple) when things escalated that way as to avoid talking about feelings, Kokichi kissing him so he doesn't have to reply to something

Ves: you can ABSOLUTELY have a petname for ur roommate but i see the vision actually. ouma using physical affection to avoid verbal,,,OUGH

Me: yeah, but it's about waking up together and slipping into the old act because he's done it many times it just felt so familiar to wake up this way that he said it without thinking!!!

Clown: Thinking about ouma calling one of the dices members for the first time in a long while and they don't yell at him, they aren't even disappointed. They just start immediately gushing about how wow! They have so much to talk about. And ouma has a moment where he finds they've grown so much without him realizing. He doesn't have to protect them anymore. And they're having lunch on a Saturday and a weight falls of his shoulders for the first time in a while

Apollo: Kokichi gives a wobbly smile and they ask what's wrong and he says he's so relieved they're doing so well and that he missed them. He gets teased for being a sap despite them tearing up as well One of his former classmates is also at the cafe and is just like Fuck they're back together Maki screaming internally because Kokichi knows where she works

Clown: What crimes will they commit? Maki Cafe worker real??? :0

Apollo: Kokichi makes the worst sugar riddled drinks. He just grins while requesting the worst thing ever

I admit I didn't even remembered where he said to be psychic at first lmao.

But personally I think it was a lie. He's just really, really good at reading people and analyzing behaviors.

And how he gets along with the others... Yikes do you have the time? xD

I think I'll just talk about Kaede, Kaito and Gonta here. Though maybe I'll do Maki and Shuichi on another post.

(Reminder that all of this is MY interpretation of things... Also I'm rambling a lot. I might get off topic lmao)

First, Kaede!

I think he have a split opinion on her. On one hand, he knows how badly she wants to help, and he can appreciate and encourage that.

But on the other, OH MY GOD she's a bad leader.

She's an amazing motivator, don't get me wrong. But actually leading, it's not her talent and for a good reason. A leader is not only someone that encourage people. It's SO MUCH MORE than that.

She doesn't know how to make people acknowledge the tensions in the group (see: the aftermath of the Death Road of Despair, it was Kokichi who forced everyone to talk about it.) She doesn't know when to stop, which ends with her encouragements turning into forcing people to continue even when they're all exhausted. She doesn't know how to step up to end a conflict between the group (again, see the direct aftermath of the Death Road of Despair...)

And I think as a result, Kokichi is both understanding of her wish to help, but also extremely frustrated with her poor attempts at leading. I think he would bash his head against a wall if she survived more than one trial lmao.

Second Kaito. Oh my god.

I think out of everyone, he's the one that gets on Kokichi's nerves the most. (And a lot of people would agree with me on it I think)

He's the one talking about trust. IN A KILLING GAME.

(Just to be clear I don't think Kokichi is paranoid. He's just reasonably doubtful of people in a life or death situation. Trust is very dangerous in that setting.)

Also, the whole sidekicks/hero thing. I get wanting to help Shuichi by taking responsability of what he'll say in the trials, but there's other way to do that. (Say, isn't that also a leader's responsability to encourage the group?)

And don't get me started with the whole deal with Maki. If anything, I think that's one of the thing that drives Oma crazy the most.

Trying to make Maki understand she's more than an assassin? Good idea! -Even though monitoring her movements would have been ideal- Insisting that she's harmless and a good person to everyone in the meantime? No! You don't know her that well yet, and trusting blindly a professional killer is stupid.

But the worst thing -in Kokichi's opinion- is probably Kaito's impulsivity.

Trying to go against the Exisal the morning when the First Blood Perk is introduce? Stupid, and dangerous! Trying to convince everyone to riot against Monokuma at Kaede's trial? That's endangering everyone!

Trying to gather everyone to fight Monokuma and end the game? DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!

Kaito's insistence to trust everyone and his impulsivity is a threat to the group in Kokichi's eyes, and I can't blame him for it. Him calling himself a hero is just the annoying cherry on top of it all.

And last but not least, Gonta.

Aaaah Gonta. The translation did you and Kokichi SO dirty.

First and foremost: GONTA IS NOT FUCKING STUPID!

He's naive, yes. Innocent too, absolutely. But he's NOT stupid!

He's a scientist for fuck's sake, it means something. He is not stupid.

And as someone that is both intelligent and also... well kind of naive, Kokichi saw him as a potential ally. Hence why he turned to him for both the Insect Meet and Greet plan, and the Killing Game Busters plans.

Oma is also one of -if not the only one- that sees Gonta as more than just "nice giant". He see him as someone with a brain, but also too much naivete, which in a killing game is not good. So that might be why he took him under his wing so to speak. Gokuhara is also the only one that tried to see more than just Oma's first layer if I remember correctly.

And we're gonna talk about Chapter 4! Wou-ouh let's go.

Gonta was desesperate to end the game. And Oma knew it. Gonta was ALREADY considering doing something drastic to end the game. And Kokichi took advantage of that.

(Now that was probably not done happily. Remember that he was probably still shaken up by the "truth" of the outside world.)

...Or did he?

Oma told -and showed- to Gokuhara what he saw. What he believed himself was true. And the fact that it was false didn't change the fact that they BOTH got manipulated with false informations.

I do truly believe that those two were good friends. Chapter 4 was the tragedy that ended it, but it doesn't mean the friendship wasn't there.

So... Yeah.

TL;DR: I think he appreciated Kaede's wishes to help, but was really exasperated of how bad at leading she was. I think Kaito's behavior irked him -like 90% of the fans lmao- because of how dangerous he saw it to be. And I think he saw Gonta as a friend, and CLEVER enough to make plans with him.
