I sometimes get asked what will be my next major audio drama project after executive producing and creating The Strange Case of Starship Iris and Keep It Steady. Well, now that Iris is very safely in the post-production phase, I can reveal the next show I hope to create: Everyone Leaves Alive, a rock musical about a world in which playing music can be magical. Like, literally.

Everyone Leaves Alive follows a struggling indie rock band as they tour the American midwest together, secretly resolving monster-related problems through music. It's funny, it's heartfelt, it's very queer, and Chiron Star (who did the instrumentation and music production for the Starship Iris theme and Keep it Steady) is onboard, so I can safely say it's gonna rock.

However, I'm committed to paying people a reasonable wage, and that means I need your help to fund this baby. Censorship surrounding topics of Palestine is nothing new - but in the last few months there has been an alarming increase in censorship, where artists have their exhibitions shut down, universities are setting up barriers to knowledge about Palestine, highly unserious articles with very serious accusations about academics are popping up, ... Now two lectures on Palestine were canceled, and another scholar was just uninvited for what he posted on his social media (pro-Palestinian content). A previous protest letter from the academic community was ignored by the University, and a recent sit-in there was met with an unnecessarily high number of police who intimidated the small group of protesters. Why/How does the University of Vienna do this? Basically, any public criticism of the Israeli government is misconstrued as antisemitism. Then, the University disinvites the academics in question and cancels lectures, or forces lecturers to "adjust" their content. Scholars are being muzzled. The University doesn't want its students to learn about various perspectives on Palestine. Mind you, this is a public institution we're talking about.

The petition is intended to show the University that people disapprove of these practices. The argument of "safety" is brought up all the time, but at the same time, the University gladly erects barriers between their students and the valuable knowledge that would foster critical thinking and understanding. Palestinians are directly affected by this deadly apathy, and Muslim and Jewish people everywhere suffer from heightened antisemitism and islamophobia fueled by misinformation and myths. And at the end of the day, censorship is nothing but bad academic practice. It is an attempt to shape the minds of students by making information harder to access and to exclude scholars who talk about/are from Palestine. It's discrimination against Palestinians and it's shameless instrumentalization of Jewish trauma.

“BioWare Continues to Refuse to Pay Severance On August 23 of this year, BioWare eliminated “approximately 50 roles at BioWare”. Following the layoffs, seven ex-BioWare employees engaged the services of R. Alex Kennedy to represent their interests, stating that the amount of severance offered was insufficient under Alberta common law. Counsel for the employees has attempted to reach a compromise that would avoid requiring lengthy court proceedings, but BioWare’s lawyers refused any offers to negotiate and settle out of court. The basis of Kennedy’s claim is that according to Alberta precedents and under Canadian law, these employees should be receiving approximately 1.7 months of severance per year of service they gave to BioWare. BioWare has now filed a Statement of Defence, which argues that the seven terminated employees are only entitled to two weeks of severance per year spent in service to BioWare, because of a contract provision that Kennedy says is not enforceable. At the moment, one of the most popular social networks in the CIS countries is Telegram, which has popular groups on various topics, nothing unusual! People communicate, post their own and OTHER PEOPLE's ART, with CREDITS and LINKS TO THE AUTHORS, which is usually the norm that people follow, admins monitor this and look for art for the Daily (a.k.a. daily posts), but there are a couple of incidents that I want to warn you about.:

there is such a group as HOMESTUCK HOROSCOPES, the audience there is not small as you can see in the screenshots below.

and they themselves say that they take these artworks from their other groups in Telegram and don't even look at the author to credit them, because IT'S SO HAAAAARD🥺🥺🥺🥺 AND IT TAKES.... TIME!!!!!! My god, it's soooo hard, right?

and most importantly, CIS artists can at least still be outraged, check and see, say that their authorship should be indicated, BUT ARTISTS FROM TUMBLR / ENGLISH-SPEAKING PLATFORMS CAN NOT! you literally don't even have a way to find out about it, so, FACTUALLY they take advantage of you being unaware about the situation and steal other people's work without any consequences, ALSO including from CIS artists.

and there are many such groups and admins! and then the audience also SUPPORTS the admins by saying, "haha sigma, got them! Serves them right, and besides, it's just a Horoscope Confession! These people (who are outraged that their art is literally being stolen) are such wimps! 🙄"

so in fact, anyone who is against the admin's position will just be swept under the rug like dust, and, poof! it's your fault for pointing out the laziness of the admin, because IT'S SO DIFFICULT FOR THEM, WHY ARE YOU ALL SO DEMANDING!

Hey guys, unfortunately life has given me the short straw and I must ask for help.

I've managed to get my old job back, but only until the end of September when I go back to uni. The issue is that Student Finance have awarded me only 2.3k for my maintenance loan in which to live on for the next year. My rent is £600 a month (not including utilities) and I have just over £200 in my bank account.

I'd need about 7.6k for this year's rent, otherwise I'll have to drop out of university. Anyone that could provide for me is currently unemployed and a continent away, so I'm here asking for help. TEXAS ANIME FANS THIS IS A CALL TO ACTION

The Texas congress are trying to pass a bill that seeks to ban anime, cartoons, & video games that they deem to have 'obscene content' involving minors including sexual exploitation.. Which sounds great on the surface, but here's the problem...it's basically KOSA, but targeted at anime, video games, and cartoons. The wording of the bill surrounding what they deem as 'obscene' content is extremely vague and that's most likely on purpose) so they could use it to ban pretty much anything they want. Including any anime with LGBTQIA+ themes. The bill also states that anyone owning ANY of the material that they deem obscene could be charged with a felony. So you could get in trouble with the law for owning something as innocuous as Sailor Moon dvd's or manga.

And with this felony, they could possibly go after sellers and destributors of anime such as Crunchyroll, and Funimation who are both based in Texas, as well as dealers room sellers at anime conventions. Which means this could possibly spell the beginning of the end of anime conventions in texas entirely. And how long before they start going after your favorite texas based fan artists and fan merch creators??

I know most of y'all don't care about my state cuz it's a southern state and "we" 'voted for this' so we deserve to suffer, but I garuntee you we fucking DID NOT! our state is heavily gerrymandered (meaning our elections are all rigged in favor of republicans otherwise Texas would've been blue a long time ago) And it's also home to one of the largest LGBTQIA communities in the country! There are nerds and minorities here that suffer too!

So please if you live in Texas, read this bill and contact your house reps and tell them to vote no on senate bill 20. because it already passed the senate under everyone's nose. If you don't live in Texas, please spread the word and let your Texas anime friends know. This is strait up fascism under the guise of protecting children as usual. If the Texas gov actually cared, they would've outlawed child marriage and made gun reforms to stop school shootings. It's never about the kids. It's about censorship and control

My name is Mike Cedrick. I’m a proud ally, a loving boyfriend, and right now, I’m terrified. My girlfriend Tenshi, a beautiful, strong, trans woman, is battling Stage 2 Sepsis and bacterial tonsillitis. The doctors say it could take up to 8 months of continuous treatment, regular checkups, and strict medication for her to fully recover from her Sepsis.

We don’t have 8 months’ worth of funds.

We barely have enough left for the next few weeks.

I’m still working, doing my best to support my family and cover her medication, food, and basic needs — but the truth is, we’re drowning. ⚠️Help with Emergency Move⚠️

Hi, I'm Eden! I'm sorry to do this and I'm not sure how to word this but I am in need of some help, my dad had multiple strokes that left him unable to move his legs and was left by himself for a few days until someone found him and he can NOT live alone anymore, so my wife and I are making an emergency move from TX to SC when he gets out of rehab in ~8 weeks (around early July).

We are paycheck-to-paycheck so we're just...doing our best, but we really truly need help in order to make it there. In the meantime we are doing overtime work and selling what we can.
