Soren found a friend while going to recycle c:
Despite being stinky from dumpster diving, she didn’t seem to mind.
WHY ARE YOU SPEAKING TO A NAKED MAN? She deadass sat there and had a full conversation with him and then gasped in shock as if she only just realized he was naked lmao
He’s been working hard on his goals, so I figured he could use a drink.
He seemed to be getting along with this woman at first but then she got bored. No matter what he said, it resulted in a negative relationship. I swear, ever since the likes and dislikes system was added, it’s way harder to socialize with people. It feels like every single interaction I choose ends up removing relationship rather than adding it. It’s annoying.
I feel you, Soren 😦 Don’t worry, we can run away back to your secluded nest!
I thought I had enough time to finish the fabrication before he passed out but I guess not lol
YOU ARE MARRIED. Why is she playing with Soren like this? He knows she’s married, but… he does really like her.
He couldn’t help himself. She just looked so pretty and she kept flirting with him.
They had some fun together, but…
Once all was said and done, she told him that she just wanted to be friends with benefits. This hurt him because he felt himself falling for her hard. He just left without a word, returning home. At least the lake looks pretty, right Soren?
Jacques stopped by again, this time with a recipe!
They got to talking and, nosy little Soren got him to divulge his deepest, darkest secret.
I doubt it will do much, but there’s no harm in wishing for good luck, especially when your luck is so bad.
He did manage to successfully haggle some food!
Look at how pleased he is. That chili is gonna taste extra good.

Sims 4 Legacy Tracker - Obsidian Notes
I woke up and decided I wanted to make the perfect tracker for a TS4 Legacy Challenge (or at least, perfect for me). Everything is set up and theoretically updated for For Rent and Crystal Creations. Please let me know if there's any errors!
Features:
Sim template with space for general information, traits, skills, aspirations, education/career and images.
Easy to use and customise (with a link to Obsidian's help centre for people new to Obsidian or Markdown).
Ability to link notes (such as Sims) together similarly to Notion.
Copy of the rules and a checklist for the Scoring categories.
Easy family trees using Obsidian's Canvas feature.
Examples beneath the cut of how it looks!
Download via Google Drive.
To use the Obsidian vault, extract the "Sims 4, Legacy Tracker" to somewhere easily located. You can rename it freely.
DO NOT remove the subfolders/files from that folder.
Open Obsidian and from the Vault screen, select "Open Folder as vault"
Open the "Sims 4, Legacy Tracker" folder.
Done!
Left: No customisation, exactly how the vault comes. Right: Using the Tokyo Night theme + Task Progress Bars community plugin + new font + tweaks to how the "family tree" canvas looks.
#ts4 legacy#legacy challenge#legacy challenge tracker#legacy challenge scoresheet#simblr#look ok ok ok i know im not a sims blog i know im a skyrim blog but im actually really happy with this :)#also i know that the 'customised' screenshots aren't really customised. i haven't actually set this up for my own personal use yet.#I'M ABOUT TO DO THAT NOW THOUGH TEEHEE <3 maybe i'll come back and put in better examples of how to customise it later

…Hello! It's been a while.. About three years, I think?
So, after my previous simming PC died (unfortunately it really truly dropped dead, I thought it was just a graphics card issue, but nope), I fell into a pit of depression. Even after I got a new PC, I just didn't feel like playing TS2 at all. All that legacy/ISBI challenge effort down the drain.. Starting over felt too heavy.
Since then I've mostly been playing Fortnite and modded Skyrim 😅
I was gonna wait until Paralives is released to see if it could reignite my love for life simulation games, but something else happened just now!
I am of course talking about the TS1/TS2 Legacy Collection which was released a few days ago.
I didn't need to buy it, since I still own TS2 Ultimate Collection, but my nostalgia hungry friends (their memories of TS2 are very much connected to their childhood) got crazy excited about it and they immediately started playing again. We even started planning some kind of elaborate TS2 gaming nights with Discord voice chat 😅😅
And so, here I am. I literally only just installed the game an hour ago though. It was surprisingly easy this time around, maybe too easy - Didn't even need to troubleshoot any error messages for hours. Odd!
Like I said, sadly I can't continue any of my previous challenges, so when I make a full comeback, I'll have to start from a clean slate. I do have some old backups, but.. I feel like messing with those would just be confusing. Maybe starting over isn't so bad.
I don't even know how to install custom content anymore.. But IIRC it was easier than modding Skyrim, so maybe I'll be fine after reading a tutorial or two.
And oh man, I really can't wait to hoard CC again! I think I have some backed up from years ago, but I also want to see what's new. I've missed out on a lot.
But yeah, enough rambling for now. I just want you guys to know that I'm here, I'm trying to crawl back to this beloved game, even though it might take a while.

can you describe your Skyrim OCs? they sound neat!
thank you for the interest! general tws for alcoholism, torture, violence, what happened to the falmer, etc.
vandelion is my dovahkiin, who i didnt design as a self insert, but kind of subconsciously grew into, and hes very special to me. he is a werewolf half altmer, half nord bear of a man, all the beef & fur expected of a skyrim local but with big ears poking out. his right eye has been gored out, and the scar left behind is blackened. beginning his life as a thief and later assassin, his mind broke at the dark brotherhood questline, losing his eye and receiving severe brain damage, killing the emperor his final straw with the weight & gravity of it. he became a severe alcoholic after. but after stumbling into raven rock and meeting teldryn, he began to try to change himself, finding a home there. traveling back to skyrim he met serana, gelebor, vyrthur, and many more, and eventually rose to become a hero, the dovahkiin. always haunted by his actions, he admitted after his victory over alduin that he was responsible for much death, and the empire tried to punish him, but he was so popular in skyrim he was saved. he lives with eternal gratefulness in whiterun & raven rock, known as much for being a baker as being the dragonborn.
cad is vandelion's partner, younger brother to the snow prince of legends past. he often wears heavy robes obscuring his form, hiding his pale skin, his scarred head, and the metal welded on his body, notably the top left half of his face, and he walks with a staff. among the last of the snow elves, his royalty made him special to the dwemer, who tortured him for years, and left him suspended when they disappeared. vandelion found him in the worst state anyone could be in, held aloft by wires and badly reshaped by their metalwork. his youth had long caved to what he percieved as monstrosity, but vandelion only saw the most beautiful man alive. after vandelion slowly nursed him back to health, cad tried to adjust to life an eon past his people's. he became archmage of winterhold, and tries to keep the falmer legacy alive as best he can with gelebor & vyrthur's aid, always studying his "fallen" brethren and happy to slowly learn to communicate with them - even if they are blind, and he is now mute, he will do all he can.
korithia is their daughter, a happy accident made of dark intention - hagravens consorted with daedra to try to create a challenge to the crushed-honor kin, but failed, when the two rescued the little girl made of that pact. pale, freckled, with a birth mark over her lip, eyes like ice, and a shadow of daedric horns when she fights, korithia loves her dads dearly but lives in the legacy of all her bloodline is, always feeling isolated even when she has support. she becomes a mercenary and adventurer for a while, trying to uncover the secrets of dragon priests and the mysterious konahriik - learning she is destined to be them. she takes the mantle and turns it into a vigilante affair of sorts, before stopping the fight within her, between expectation vs want. what she wants more than anything is to live quietly & simply. she does not want Destiny. she lives in a small home in the wilds with her argonian lover hara-na, hunting & gathering, and cad & vandelion could not be happier they paved the way for the next generation to have that peace.

For the ask game: Vigilant and Nightingale. I was particularly interested in hearing about Chantilly Leice and Melka, but feel free to switch around to other characters if you prefer!
WHOOO YEAH I get to talk about Melka! I like their story cause it's somethin different than what I normally write. Vigilant will be under the cut.
Also ignore why the pics are blue, it was to help me find it easier in the massive sea that is my phone album roll. The letter was to also help me and the reader see each different letter is a different conversation.
Nightingale-If the player wasn't the DB, what would they be doing?
CL would be doing what she's trying to do now, put the DragonBorn legacy behind her, focus on her family (hubby, 3 adopted kids and her 3 dogs), keeping them safe and go about her typical business like DBH contracts, being the Listener, Nightingale and Guild Master, building connections for the Theives Guild and occasional jobs for the Companions and EETC. She does it all. She is also the Arch-Mage so she does the rare jobs for them like killing the anomalies or dealing with some rogue wacko wizard (based on cut content I found on UESP). She also does the occasional odd mercanary job for the Bard's College (I expanded upon it on her story and added a new NPC/someone who had a past with her). She takes up odd jobs as well as our player does in game. Currently her goal is to explore every Nordic ruin, every dank dungeon on both Skyrim and Solstheim. She dislikes the Dwemee ruins due to how loud they are (her Lycan senses amplify sounds).
Melka would be doing what they were before they found out they were the DragonBorn, mostly work for the Companions and helping Kodlak find a cure for the Beast Blood. Melka's story is that they aren't from Skyrim, they're from some other unnamed land where humans had to live underground cause above ground had too many dangerous monsters, along with dwindling resources. They eventually leave that place and travel around until finding Skyrim. They love the cold weather and eventually found themself in the company of the Companions. Most of the other ingame guilds aren't their jam nor do they have any interest in them. When Melka finds out some of the Circle are werewolves, they refuse the Blood. In Melka's land, 'transformation magic' is an evil corruptive magic that permanently turns the human it 'infected' into a monster after some time. It's given by a being of higher power (read, NOT a god, not Aedra or even Daedra), and at first it seems good. It gives the human strength, power, all the things they need to survive. But beings of higher power have no interest in bettering humans. The 'boon' uses the humans body as a host, and eventually the 'monster that was always inside claws its way out'. At that point the human isn't human anymore, it's a monster and must be killed like one. Skyrim challenges alot of Melka's previous opinions and views on various subjects, one being transformation magic, aka the Beast Blood. When Kodlak confides in Melka that he along with Vilkas and Farkas want a cure, somethin impossible where Melka is from, they offer their help in any way they can.

Vigilant-Do your characters follow any religion, deity, do any worship?
CL is very clear in that she does not worship any being, no Aedra, Daedric Princes, beings of higher power like Sithis, ect... However that doesn't change her situation. She is still the Listener, killing souls for Sithis, she's still a werewolf that chooses to keep the blood even after knowing there's a cure, she's still done favours and has various boons from Aedra and Daedric Princes like Mara, Dibella, Kyne, Sheogorath, Sanguine, Meridia and Hermaeus Mora. She's aware doing acts for them is still doing what they want, but she does it 'out of necessity'.
She will place no offerings at alters or shrines, she will not spread the word or teachings of someone, will not bear their symbol, doesn't invoke the name of someone for power, follows no religion, does no prayers. She also doesn't like Akatosh cause she hates being the DragonBorn, so she has a bone to pick with him.
Melka is from a land where there are no gods. Gods are simply faceless beings from a child's bedtime story, they were never real and still aren't. Even coming to Skyrim Melka still doesn't believe gods are real, and, you can't really blame them. Their world was ravaged by monsters, yet these gods of Skyrim have done things to help their followers? Where were the gods in Melka's land? What have the humans done to never be allowed help from these 'so called gods' of Skyrim, or Tamriel, or anywhere? Why did no gods look upon these humans, clearly struggling to survive, their population becoming increasingly low, near extinction levels and never offer them help or made themself known? So Melka is a bit spiteful against gods. For a while they don't believe in Daedric Princes either. But here's the thing about Daedric Princes, they actively make themself known to mortals. They wander among them in disguise, they speak to their followers, they show them their domain and give them power. Sure you could argue some Aedra do the same things, but they certainly don't do it on the same level as Daedric Princes.
Even when told about the Beast Blood, Melka thinks Hircine is nothing more than a being of higher power giving mortals transformation magic and corrupting them. Fighting feral savages doesn't help, it further proves to them the Beast Blood is a curse and that everyone who has it, Kodlak, Farkas and Vilkas included will all fall victim to it. One day they won't be able to turn back, they will be a monster forever.

étoile, meldiara, and farknir for character design ask game:
glance, stillness, roots, change and alternate? <3
Thank you fro the ask! (:
Glance: At first glance, what stands out most about your OC’s appearance? What’s their distinguishing feature?
Étoile: their height / bulk. If a messenger was describing them to an assassin, they'd be told, "Look for the large trans elf with the rose tattoo."
Meldiara: her red hair. If a messenger was describing them to an assassin, they'd be told, "Look for the dunmer woman with red hair and red eyes, who can't keep her hands to herself."
Farknir: he looks like he was thrice cursed to Coldharbour. If a messenger was describing them to an assassin, they'd be told, "Look for the large nord wizard with long black hair who has something unsettling about his face; and he must know it too, as he's likely to be wearing warpaint."
Stillness: How does your OC act while still? Are they fidgety? Do they have any common gestures or tics? Does their clothing affect how they hold themselves while at rest?
Étoile is extremely capable of being still without fidgeting. They were trained to do so both for the sake of prayer and paladin discipline; and enjoyed the personal challenge and calm peace of being able to do nothing. Wearing armor would mean they would not want to be seated or laying down while doing nothing if at all possible.
Meldiara cannot sit fucking still for longer than a few minutes at a time. She'll practice sleight of hand tricks and crack her thumbs during moments she should be still, and she'll be fidgety during moments most other people would be still, such as prayer. Her attire might make fidgeting worse, with a scarf to play with or pockets to check.
Farknir can sit still for longer than Meldiara, but has less patience than he'd advertise. If something was going to require his "stillness" for longer than 90 minutes he'd try to get out of it, and would be able to struggle at most another 90 more before he's groaning and slouching and raking his fingers across his face, casting absent thaumaturgy spells and talking to himself or his company. If he was wearing too much clothing he'd also start undressing.
Roots: Is your OC’s look inspired by any specific style of clothing or fashion trend? What are the roots and/or inspiration for their look?
Étoile's clothing is influenced by their paladin order, their faith, and their need to wear layers except in the most private of company. Otherwise they wear what's cheap / available until responsibility (to an event, to their employment, to the maintenance of a relationship) necessitates something of higher quality.
They don't keep an inspiration for their style, but I do. Here's their small "modern" pin/terest board.
Meldiara's clothing is influenced by stats by the people in her life; Netch armor that was talked up by Teldryn, various kinds of Thief gear to facilitate her ties to Brynjolf and the others of the guild, Nord styles as a fuck you to her father and a link to her brother, Farknir, etc. She likes rich colors and materials, especially if she stole them. She'd be more likely to steal an outfit if it was elegant or funky. Sadly (?) this means she could show up somewhere in something akin to Sheogorath's wardrobe.
Farknir's clothing is influenced by the legacy he'd still like to surpass; his house, Raven-Cloak. He doesn't mind looking like a dark wizard and is drawn to black fabrics with glass beads and bone accessories. He's meant to look like a goth or metal-head.
Change: Has your OC ever drastically changed their appearance? Significant haircuts, big tattoos, complete wardrobe swap, etc? Why? How do they feel about the change?
Answered here for Étoile.
Meldiara's fashion would have significantly changed when she moved to Skyrim no longer surviving on fear as she was as a peasant in Brume, but thriving for the promise of survival. With more resources and less caution, she grew healthier and gained resources to dress as she liked. Of course she loves it.
Farknir's gone through at least two big appearance overhauls. The first when he was fifteen and trying to distance himself from his family and especially his father. He cut his hair and wore anything that didn't reveal his associations to them. And then a few years before his father passed, when he was caring for him in his failing health, and Farknir realized that both their hair had grown out by virtue of neither of them prioritizing cutting it, and then realizing many other ways in which they were similar in appearance, and capability — and the many ways he would be able to surpass his father, and the rest of his family. He leaned into his gifts and his heritage, and his comfort, not dressing or conducting himself differently for the sake of a hatred that was worth less than his ambition. He still has mixed feelings sometimes.
Alternate: What would your OC’s alternate universe look be? If they’re a fantasy character, what’s their modern look? If they’re sci-fi, what’s their fantasy look? What AU would you want to see your OC in, and how would they dress themself? Bonus: Prompt an AU!
I wish you had prompted an AU to take this decision out of my hands. fgdhdfghdfg
Mass Effect. Sure.
Étoile is a Sentinel. Wow, that means they're stuck in Light Armor. fgjhdfghdfg They have a high quality blue and white armour with renegade red vein lines kintsugi-ing it together (just appearances). Their L2 side-effect is occasional short-term memory loss, motivating them to meditate on memories they want to keep. They favour turtlenecks in downtime to cover their tattoo.
Meldiara is trained as an Infiltrator but hates sniper rifles for combat over stealth missions. She can approach enemies as a Soldier, where she hopes her speed and stamina make up for middling strength. She wears purple armour that easily reflects the stars for space walks. She favours open-collared dress shirts, military jackets with too many pockets, and combat boots in her down time.
Farknir is an Adept. Who thinks going off like a bomb is artistry, and not only chaos. He is either a Cerberus experiment who didn't realize he was an experiment, or maybe he's his father's pet project who knows exactly what was done to him. His armour is not regulation and has a stealth function that isn't as efficient as Kasumi or Kai Leng's but works like Shepard et al hid from the geth in ME2, hiding him from readings, if not the naked eye. His armour is black and painted with many symbols: an hour glass, a corvid, skulls, swords. Meldiara calls him lame to keep him humble. I want this design to extend into the shape of his helmet to be vaguely General-Grievous-like. His biotic-implant side-effects (is it even an L2?) include fever, spinal pain and occasional hallucinations. He wears a Blasto bath robe, blue boxes, a white tank top and flip flops in this down time. He has no idea who Blasto is. In stark contrast to this, he will wear a casual mustard yellow blazer, white shirt and blue high-waisted pants if taken out in public.

This chapter is a point of view chapter for Amirah and goes into what she was doing before reuniting with bjorn and more of her backstory as well. It also goes into more about Zalam-dar and the Rising Dawn Syndicate as well: https://archiveofourown.org/works/16784941/chapters/118510942#workskin
Here’s an excerpt: Amirah rode through the sands of the Alik'r desert. She had purchased two scimitars and armor with the gold she and Bjorn had earned performing music in inns. On her way there she fought off giant scorpions, sand serpents and other creatures. It was a good opportunity for her to practice her fighting skills. Her father had taught her a few techniques in the past, but it had been a while since then. She was a little rusty. She knew she couldn't be too green if she wanted to join the Swords of Serenity, even though they'd train her.
The first few battles with these creatures were challenging. She was even poisoned by one of the giant scorpions at one point. Luckily, she had brewed herself some potions at Aunt Mahsa's, including a cure poison potion. She drank this potion and quickly recovered. Amirah's fighting skills improved greatly by the end of the trip. She cut off a stinger from one of the giant scorpions to bring with her as a trophy. She planned to show it to the guild to prove she was a worthy warrior.
When Amirah finally arrived in Sentinel she was in awe of the architecture. She looked up and admired the buildings made of stone that seemed as tall as the sky.
Amirah was mesmerized by how magnificent the scenery looked. The sand all around the city didn't look particularly flattering to her, but the beautiful palm trees made up for it.
Amirah felt proud. This was a city her people made. This was the Hammerfell most people saw in their mind's eye whenever the province was mentioned. Sure, she loved her hometown of Dragonstar, but the feeling this place gave her was something different altogether.
Amirah had an interest in joining the Swords of Serenity for a long time before this. Her older brother Jamal was the first to inform her of their existence. He had worked for them a few years, but eventually was let go. Their leader Azzan didn't approve of his unorthodox methods of fighting drunk or his boisterous personality. Jamal told his sister that it was better if she didn't mention his name if she ever wanted to join them. He suggested that she mention her father because he was a respected war hero by Crowns and Forebears alike. Amirah preferred showing Azzan the giant scorpion tail instead. If she were to be accepted into the Swords of Serenity, it would be because of her own courage and bravery, not someone else's legacy.
Read about her and other original TES characters of mine in: Dragonborn Begins: The Ballad of Bjorn the Swordsmith which takes place before the events of TES V Skyrim and references events from other TES games as well

Something about Game Dev Tycoon
I've been thinking about Game Dev Tycoon recently. It's a relic from a fundamentally different time and I don't think it gets discussed as much as it perhaps should. First and foremost is the fact that it truncates the history of video games to only the 80's onward. This is perhaps true to a certain perception of gaming - the NES being the console which revitalized the industry in America. GDT was made by Australian developers, and from my Australian friends' testimony their perception of video games is pretty directly tied to the American market, but it could easily also be the fact that the game has a focus on the Home market scene, and the 70's was much more focused on the arcade scene.
All that aside, the perspective that the game ultimately supports is one which pitches every game developer as Valve - a plucky indie studio that becomes a billionaire Publisher, tech developer, and software giant while still being beloved by millions of fans. I'm not about to crucify the game for not showing every aspect of game development, especially the Crunch culture - while the EA Spouse blog post was made in 2004, conversations about Crunch culture were something that gained much more momentum throughout the mid-2010s. I still find it interesting that even at your maximum capacity, your studio only has less than a dozen employees when games had long since become hundred-person projects at the AAA level.
What I find most interesting is how many of the various community-related decisions boil down to "Boss, do you want to be inexplicably mean to the fans for no reason and save $40, or do you want to release the source code to a game you haven't touched for 50 years and make 5 whole new fans?" I'm exaggerating for effect, of course, but it's a perspective on corporation-fan interactions that clearly comes from people who are, themselves, fans first and foremost. It obviously makes sense from a fan perspective to, say, have a fan base who like to mod your games, because that's how they remain socially relevant. DOOM, Skyrim, Fallout, so many Bethesda properties are maintained in the general gamer sphere by their mods and custom content. But there's a failure to understand that businesses only care about these things to the extent that it will affect their bottom line. Bethesda would love to put a wall around the Garden that is DOOM, but they understand that doing so would be extremely unpopular and detrimental to their brand. Their closest attempt to this failed from a fan perspective, and was rife with content theft. Embracer Group, meanwhile, has no qualms squashing companies and hoarding IPs until they might one day be profitable to use. When Volition was shut down, it squashed the chance of a PC patch for Saints Row 2 (still the best Saints Row game, or at least the most well-regarded), which had been worked on by a since-dearly departed developer. Embracer doesn't have a reason to release the patch, because it would not tangibly make them money or value, it would only be a nice gesture (something companies are immune to.) They have no reason to do anything with the Saints Row brand because it recently had a high-profile failure and they can't recoup that loss until it becomes nostalgic. And the Saints Row fan base, however much of it still exists, doesn't have anywhere near the legacy or cultural capital to challenge Embracer, or convince fans of other works not to buy Embracer products.
A company like Nintendo, meanwhile, is always in flux with its audience, because while it doesn't have to appeal to the 'core gamers' crowd like said crowd thinks they do, they're currently gunning to be the next Disney, and Bowsette was essentially their Zootopia; a reminder that the Fans are Always Watching. They have to carefully maintain their image, and the ways they've managed to do so and failed to do so are both worth a discussion much longer than this Tumblr post. But they're well known for taking legal action against both a pirate who they sued into a debtor's prison and emulator groups that fuck up a little too much. They understand what their IP is worth, and they'll (hyperbolically) murder anyone who gets in the way. Game Dev Tycoon doesn't offer any perspective like this, and I can't blame it - it was made in a wholly different time. But it was also kind of the last game like it to reached the level of success it did, and I really want there to be an updated version - if not a whole new product, then a mod that makes the game much more grounded in the reality of game development AND game publishing. I want it to give you the opportunity to experience a range of perspectives. For one thing, while your main character is the only one you directly control, there isn't an aspect of 'auteurship' in your games, since it's more like you're just one of many developers in a company that eventually also does Publishing, and then also creates consoles, and so on. And that's not an invalid perspective in the industry at all! But there's other perpsectives. Imagine a game where you could choose scenarios like, "you're John Carmack or John Romero, and you're making DOOM", to "You're one of 130 developers working on Mass Effect," to "You're Double Fine and you just got purchased by Microsoft," and so on. Really make you embody different people in different time periods, or naturally lead to scenarios inspired by the realities of developers. Naturally, on the other side, I want to be able to be more evil about being a Publisher. Once a studio has made it, the nature of private capital is to maximize profits and minimize costs, and that leads to extremely unethical and borderline illegal behavior. Let me do that, let me corrupt what I once held dear, let me take the fun out of making video games so that I, the average Gamer, can understand the perverse incentives of my favorite pastime. And, hell, let me do the opposite - let me be the one to sponsor weirdo Auteur directors like Kojima, or hire quirky studios that match my brand like a Devolver Digital. At the very least, if I'm going to be Valve, then I should be able to buy 7 Superyachts.

“I know you’re there. I know you’re watching me. How dare you make me make candles. Do you know how boring this is? Do you? I have to stand here for thirty minutes just staring at this shit waiting for it to harden. I hate you.”
Love you, too, Soren ❤
Jacques always stops by but I’ve missed him a few times because I had a bunch of stuff queued up for Soren. So~
We gave him a key! 😀 He can come and go as he pleases.
He’s mad that I’m making him fix the laptop so we can use it lmao Boy, I have SEEN you use it to play games, don’t play with me.
I’ve been making him eat cheese because cheese is a huge part of Skyrim culture c:
It doesn’t look the same, but hey, cheese is cheese (except blue cheese that shit is a curse. YOU’RE EATING MOLD.)
Here is the kitchen! =D It’s coming along nicely~
Getting the house decorated for winterfest c: It’s quite cute, in my opinion
Soren, you can not get mad at me for making you use the computer for WORK only for you to CHOOSE to gossip online!
I hate that you’re right, I do love you.
But that doesn’t mean I can’t smack you and lock you in a room without a door. Don’t forget that >[
I have no idea where he got fertilizer from… maybe it was a reward for some of the freelance jobs he completed? I have no idea, but we might as well put it to use.
Why does that look like he’s pouring a bottle of tiny little vampire bats onto the food? Where did you get this seasoning from, Soren? Did Vlad leave it here or something?
I’m not a big fish person, but I feel like fish dishes would be popular in Skyrim around the holidays.

Chapter 4 Who is she?
AN: So, Starfield just came out and while it's not as good as Skyrim I also haven't slept in DAYS so yeah, sorry if this chapter took so long! Also I know this chapter is kind of long, but I didn't want to split this up like 3 chapters otherwise this story will take FOREVER
Spyro stood at the threshold of the ancient ruin, his gaze fixed upon the towering structure. Time had etched its story onto the weathered stone, marked by the determined creep of nature's green fingers, climbing ever upward.
Each footfall echoed in the dimly lit corridor, the air heavy with the scent of ages-old dust and the faint whispers of forgotten secrets. Torch sconces lined the walls, their once vibrant flames now reduced to timid flickers, casting long, dancing shadows that seemed to carry the weight of time itself. Spyro adjusted his brown whip and tipped his hat lower, venturing further into the heart of the ruin.
Faded murals adorned the walls, scenes from an era long past. Majestic dragons, their forms exuding an ethereal glow, soared through skies painted in harmonious unity, a testament to the intertwined existence of their kind with the very essence of the Skylands. Among them, a city of moles worshipped the dragons like gods.
Spyro's eyes narrowed in concentration, searching for any hint, any sign that might lead him to his parents. His breath caught as he spotted a familiar insignia etched into the stone – a mark that he had glimpsed in the fragments of his past, a symbol of his lineage. It was the image of an eyeball through a stake.
Deeper he ventured, the echoes of his steps resonating through the forgotten halls. Relics of a bygone era surrounded him – artifacts once vivid, now dulled by the passage of time. He felt a strange connection to these objects, as if they held the whispers of his own ancestry.
Approaching the heart of the ruin, Spyro entered an ancient chamber, bathed in a soft, ethereal light emanating from a colossal crystal at its center. The air hummed with a strange energy, sending shivers down his spine.
Before him stood an intricately carved stone pedestal, bearing a weathered tome. Spyro delicately opened it, revealing not only Spyro 4 but also ancient, archaic script. With each turn of the pages, a growing sense of anticipation welled within him, as if the answers he sought were within arm's reach.
Hours passed, the passage of time unnoticed as Spyro delved into the ancient text. He pieced together fragments of a story, "In the age of ancients, a great shadow befell the purple dragons when the evil black dragon named only Malefor struck terror into the hearts of all.
"Ooh, that's kind of racist."
"Malefor's lust for dominion knew no bounds. He sought to extinguish the lineage of the noble purple dragons. As for why, we may never know. He descended upon the realms like a tempest, his darkness threatening to consume all. Families scattered, their wings carrying them to the far corners of the realm. They fought valiantly, but the odds were insurmountable. Malefor's darkness cloaked the skies, blocking out the sun. However, amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope emerged as only light can perice the darkness. A few, brave and resolute, managed to evade Malefor's clutches. They fled to the hidden corners of the world, vowing to preserve the legacy of their kin."
"How do I find them?" Spyro asked the text as he flipped it over to reveal a map of how to find them.
He would need to travel to each of the elemental realms that represent his abilities and pass their trails in order to obtain parts of a key. Once assembled he would have a key that would unlock his family location.
Emerging from the ancient ruin, brown hat secure, a copy of Spyro 4 in hand, the weight of his discoveries settled upon him. A renewed sense of purpose coursed through him, a connection to a past that had long eluded him. With newfound determination, he set forth, prepared to face the challenges ahead, armed with the knowledge that he was part of a legacy spanning the ages. He spread his wings, ready to take flight, but fumbled and accidentally dropped Spyro 4. "Ah, dang it."

Back in the academy Peril, along with Stealth Elfs Team and Master Eon were all together as well as a bunch of other characters/ocs that no one cares about. Master Eon cleared his throat before he spoke. "Skylanders and Skylanders in training, I come to you with grave news. I feel a dark presence is growing and we must prepare, that is why the training to becoming a skylander is going to be a bit different." master Eon paused for dramatic effect. "Stealth Elf, your team is one of the best in the skylands."
Pop Fizz quickly interjected. "Aren't we the only team in Skylands?"
Commander Cullen answered his question. "Of course not, we're just the only team that matters." He told him as his hair basked in the sunlight.
Master Eon made a fake cough to get everyone's attention. "Anyway, our teams have been on short supply so that means Peril, because you have already killed so many bad guys at such a young age."
"Actually, they weren't bad guys, just prisoners that my step mother forced to fight for their lives." Peril told him with a fake smile. "I killed a lot of innocent dragons."
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. You're going to be in charge of a new team called the Jade Skylanders. You will have five team members including yourself so pick wisely. Stealth Elf can help you chose your team."
Stealth Elf was excited she got to hang out with another girl. "Alright, girl time! I can already tell you, we're just going to pick girls, do you know how hard it is being like the only girl over here?"
"Easy now Stealth Elf." Master Eon told her. "You'll have one week to find a team that'll be the perfect fit for Peril, in the meantime. I want each skylander to start brushing up on what it means to be a skylander because you'll all be teaching the new recruits in due time. That is all.
Stealth Elf walked off with Peril as she was so excited she kept teleporting everywhere. "Alright, I already got an entire list of every girl who's a student in this academy."
"Is any of them, dragons? Feels kind of lonely being the only dragon here is all."
"Sure there is, maybe you can create an entire dragon team!"
"Been there, done that. It wasn't bad but I think just knowing there's at least one more dragon will be enough for me not to feel lonely."
"Well there is Cynder, she should be back from her training soon. I'm sure the two of you will get along great!"
- Scene Change -
Kaos let out a low grumble as he dressed up in suite and tie accord as Smithers helped him with a bow tie before he spoke. "You look very nice, sir."
"Do I have to eat dinner with Malefore in order to learn the location of Spyro's parents?"
"Well he did make them extinct so suffice to say it makes the most sense sir."
Kaos let out a grunt before he spoke. "Why does it have to be tacos!? That's like the less evil thing ever!"
"I don't know sir, have you ever been force to eat Taco Bell? What happens after is pretty traumatising."
"Ha! I wouldn't be caught dead eating chain food, I only crave authentic dishes."
"Sir, there's a pile of McDonald in the corner because you really wanted the Pokemon cards in the happy meal toys."
"Authentic white food, even if it's in a chain restaurant is still authentic."
"Very good point sir."
When Kaos and Smithers entered the realm of Malefore. A voice could be heard which vibrated their bones but couldn't be seen. "Who dares, enter my lair!?"
More annoyed at the question instead of fearful, Kaos answered. "Uh, hello? It's me, Kaos! You invited me!"
"Oh, yes, sorry." The great and dangerous Malefore appeared in front of him. He towered over buildings. His magma veins could be seen through the cracks of his volcanic scales. "So glad you could finally make it, my daughter and I been working very hard on perfecting our sauce."
"You have a daughter? Also I'll have you know I prefer the taste of authentic food only. So, I hope you won't try to impress me with your cooking because it wont work."
Malefore laughed so hard his voice echoed in his lair. "What do you think I came from? I born in the volcano's of Aurelia Vista a new location the author just made up."
Kaos didn't say anything for a few seconds. "Ah...er...what now?"
"Aw...ree...lee...uh, it's Spanish for the golden one."
"Wait, you're Mexican!?"
"Well, for the sake of this fanfic I am."
Kaos pondered for a moment before he spoke. "Wait...isn't it kind of racist that the author made you Mexican?"
Smithers answered his question. "We'll you're white, and showing representation in diversifying evilness isn't really a bad thing, besides Malefore is clearly afro latino so he get's double the representation. Plus, I hate to mention this, but he is more popular than you are sir."
"What! How is that possible!?"
"He's been Spyro's biggest foe for several games now, including Skylanders. I'm sorry Sir but you'll always be stuck in Skylands."
"But...I'm the main villain in the very popular Netflix animated TV show Skylanders Academy." Kaos said through tears.
"You were more of a comic relief character, they were building up to Malefore being more dangerous sir. So powerful your mother had to seal him away from escaping."
Cynder appeared with her black scales that shined in the moonlight. While Kaos tried to hold back his tears but failed. "Dinner ready." She told everyone with a smile.

Starfield Review: Bethesda's Epic RPG Takes You to the Stars and Beyond

Starfield, the latest offering from Bethesda Game Studios, takes gamers on a celestial adventure in a brand-new universe. Departing from the familiar realms of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, this colossal RPG transports players to the depths of space, promising exploration on an unprecedented scale with a staggering 1,000 planets to visit and a multitude of captivating stories to immerse yourself in. Prepare to forge your unique path among the stars, unearthing ancient relics in the forgotten corners of the cosmos. As you create your character, construct your dream spaceship, and assemble your crew of companions, Starfield invites you to embark on an odyssey that redefines epic gaming.
A Departure from Expectations
Anticipation for Starfield was sky-high, with fans envisioning "Skyrim in Space," "Fallout in Space," or even "No Man's Sky…in Space." However, Starfield manages to carve out its niche, offering an exhilarating and surprising experience while retaining the classic Bethesda RPG elements that players love. The game introduces a structure that is both familiar and refreshingly unpredictable.
The Verdict
Is Starfield worthy of its lineage, following in the footsteps of Bethesda's iconic RPGs? The answer is an emphatic yes. This ambitious title stands out as something truly special from the outset.
Reviewing the Cosmos
Summarizing the entirety of Starfield is a challenge in itself, given its vastness. However, our Features Editor and dedicated space explorer, Ben Sledge, has spent considerable time navigating the game and has shared his insights.
In his review, Ben praises Starfield, saying, "Bethesda boldly launches to the stars with Starfield, confidently planting its flag in the loamy soil of a thousand planets to stake its claim as the best RPG the developer has made to date. It excels in unexpected areas, with quests and characters being the highlights. The main story is surprisingly strong, with great central characters and a solid narrative hook, despite a slow start."
Bethesda's trademark side quests shine in Starfield, breathing life into the universe. However, Ben points out, "These side quests are too few and far between. Interplanetary travel is tedious, and too many planets are devoid of interest. It's in these fringes that the cracks in Bethesda's procedural generation start to show. These issues are quickly forgotten as soon as you return to civilization, however, and explore another vast city teeming with life and teasing myriad secrets around every corner."
Time Well Spent
Starfield is a colossal game in every sense. With 1,000 planets to explore and a dedicated modding community at your fingertips, prepare to bid adieu to your social life indefinitely. Playing through the main story alone will take you around 30 to 40 hours, depending on your pace. However, this represents just the tip of the cosmic iceberg. Delving into exploration, side quests, and building your galactic legacy will likely extend your playtime to a whopping 50 to 100 hours, with some dedicated players easily surpassing 100 hours.
