39 or 85 for obikin?
Hi Jess ;)
I went for 39. ''everything is going to be okay'' kisses for all the angsty headcanons I'm musing in preparation for the big bang. Enjoy!
The respirator beeps in warning when Anakin unbuckles it.
“What are you doing?” Obi-Wan scrambles to keep it in place. “You need it to breathe!”
But since when has he been able to stop Anakin to do what Anakin wishes to do? The mask comes off, and their lips meet.
The kiss leaves Anakin breathless, his eyes dazed from the lack of oxygen.
“Everything is going to be okay, you know?” He smiles, even, this blasted boy. “I’m okay.”
As Obi-Wan holds his everything against his chest, listening to those rattled, irregular breaths, he can only wish that were true.

you know what I love?
a fucking maintenance beating.
whumpee didn’t do anything wrong, at least, not that they can remember. but tracing back in their memories is hard when they’re constantly getting kicked into the ground.
but this isn’t a punishment. they’ve been perfectly well behaved, as a matter of fact.
no, this beating isn’t corrective. it’s preventative.
whumper just does it to keep them in line.

Whumpee who is used to having an extremely strict routine - they go to bed at a specific time, and wake up at sunrise. Their entire day runs on a schedule. They don't need to keep that routine anymore, but it brings them comfort to - or maybe they just haven't gotten to a point in recovery where it feels safe to break it.
They're very much not an early bird: going to sleep so early is almost impossible, and they're used to napping through the day, if they can. Being sleep deprived is not helping with recovery, though.
Their social group does not know why they're like this. Maybe they assume it's part of recovering, and not part of the trauma. Following the above: Maybe there's an inside joke about Whumpee's slight overuse of caffeine to stay awake during social outings/work/clases/etc.
There's a sudden change in their schedule. Maybe they have to stay up late, maybe they cannot have lunch at exactly the time they "have to". Maybe they oversleep. Of course Whumpee panics.
Following the above: someone notices and finds out why Whumpee follows that routine.
Alternatively: someone notices, but Whumpee manages to lie to them. Do they believe the lie?

there was no respite on the deck - always things to do, work to be done, and the swaying made him ill. below deck was... well, not much better, but at least without that blinding sun, he could think - most of the time.

I'm going to rewrite 04x06 the way I envisioned it with the trailers and leaks.
Webweaver is still going to the party to get interviewed for the sidekick role, but it was literally going to be a sit-down interview. No weird shit.
Hughie still pretends to be Webweaver but is immediately found out by Tek-Knight.
Tek-Knight shows him to his home office for the "interview."
Proceeds to knock Hughie out.
Carries him to the Tek Cave lift (the team listening in have no idea where he is because he wasn't giving verbal clues to his location)
He gets strapped to the bondage horse whilst unconscious, and a gag is put in his mouth.
Tek-Knight keeps Ashley in the dark about everything.
Hughie wakes up.
She assaults him, believing it's Webweaver and that he's consenting. He can't talk (treated seriously)
Ashley leaves.
Tek-Knight reveals to Hughie how he knew he was an imposter at the very start.
Hughie still gagged is put on the St Andrews Cross but is tortured before Kimiko and Annie arrive.
Throughout the whole thing, Tek-Knight is menacing and evil.

Ok I know all parents are biased but I think I might have the sweetest son ever? I've been really sick and forgot to post a chapter on Monday night as scheduled. Felt terrible about it when I remembered the next day and when kiddo got home from school he offered to post it for me if I told him what to do (picture my voice croaking hoarsely from the bed while he sits with my laptop on a chair nearby).
I asked him to make a note apologising for me and also so they know it wasn't me in case of posting errors etc. Woke today to some comments mentioning his note that had me scratching my head so went and read it myself and nearly melted. I adore him. Here is what he wrote:
(for context, he is 14, holy shit actually he's 15 next month wth, and just hit 6'3". Yes, my baby is TALLER than Oliver Stark. Kiddo is still in his weedy era though)
He is going to have something special when he gets home today.
And yes, he cooked his own dinner last night, it was actually toasted sandwiches not toast but close enough!
