Honestly, This book was amazing 🥹

I’ve been in such a bad reading slump recently, And these books always get me out!! Honestly, I really enjoyed and the way Tracy conveys emotion and trauma makes me really happy ❤️ It’s so respectful and thought out, unlike many other authors. Honestly, I definitely reccomend this book series!

I will comment that the spice in this one is more frequent and in depth than the others (It is in no way closed door!!!!!!) But if you don’t mind that then that’s good :)

Eddie calling Steve sweetheart is canon now by the way every fanfic writer uses it. They’re not even dating yet and it’s always, “Steve, sweetheart, please hand me the towel.” or “Sweetheart, did you eat?” or “You’re wrong, sweetheart, it’s this way.”

He only ever calls Steve, Stevie or sweetheart and at first, Steve thinks it’s a joke. Like big boy, you know? Steve’e never had anyone call him pet names, it’s always him calling girls baby or babe. But then it’s three months later, and his hands get clammy and his stomach gets butterflies when Eddie calls him Sweetheart, his voice dipping lower, giving his signature cheeky smile, his dimples dipping with the slope of his smile, brown eyes shining with a glint. Steve realizes he’s in love with Eddie fucking Munson and wants to be his sweetheart.

The longer it goes on, Steve feels more special. The implications of the pet name making his heart grow twice its size. He’s never been anyone’s sweetheart. Yeah, they’re not dating and maybe Eddie doesn’t like him the same way he likes him but Steve is sweetheart to Eddie, no one else and that’s good enough for Steve. Eddie does it so often that by now no one questions it (not even the kids, who was visibly confused the first time Eddie asks them, “Where’s sweetheart?” and even more confused to find out that he was looking for Steve.) and it’s just normal that Eddie calls Steve sweetheart.

Until the whole adult (Jonathan, Nancy, Robin, Argyle) squad goes to The Hide Out to watch Corroded Coffin perform. It’s packed with people, somehow Eddie’s murder allegations brings more people. It’s after the performance and they’re all drinking with Jeff, Gareth and Paul. They’re taking shots, playing drinking games, doing normal teenage stuff in bars.

Eddie’s openly gay with them now, he’s the first to do so in the group to ease Robin in (which makes Steve fall in love with him more). So yeah, it’s normal that after a performance a few boys (even girls) approach Eddie. Steve gets jealous, yes. But he doesn’t begrudge them for it, 1. They’re not dating and 2. Have you fucking seen Eddie? With all that liner, mesh crop top showing lines of scars and tight ass jeans that leaves nothing to the imagination. Don’t even get Steve started with the way his hair is tied up.

But then, one guy is openly flirting with Eddie and Eddie’s smiling and teasing back, and Steve’s heart is suddenly lodged at his throat. Eddie invites the guy to play with them, introducing him as James, and Steve ignores the side glances his friends give him as he excuses himself to get more shots.

They’re all playing having fun, everything was going fine until James takes a shot and it goes through the wrong pipe, he’s coughing loudly and harshly. Steve, because he’s Steve, gets a bottle of water for James, passing it to Eddie, who opens it for James. Everyone’s watching them.

When it finally settles down, “Oh god, that was painful.” James was laughing and Eddie’s laughing with him as he says, “Looks like it, sweetheart.”

It’s not even Steve who reacts first. Not Robin, Not Nancy. It’s Jonathan, he’s halfway through a drink and the glass just slips out his hands, hitting the ground and breaking into pieces as he gasps. Jonathan’s not even looking at the broken glass, just at Eddie. Eddie’s visibly confused, asking him if he’s okay.

When it fully loads to the whole group, Robin’s almost immediately up on her feet, fists first, she’s drunk, but not drunk enough to not think straight, but drunk enough to have the strength of an elephant. It takes Nancy and Argyle to hold her back. She’s screaming incoherent strings of curses. Eddie’s still confused, James looks downright scared.

Steve’s just sitting there. Open mouth, looking at the commotion as it sinks in. Maybe it was him, maybe it was all in his head, maybe he made it all up and maybe he wasn’t that special. Maybe sweetheart was just a name Eddie calls anyone, any guy and Steve was just another guy. Because why would anyone reserve the name sweetheart for Steve fucking Harrington? He's not that special.

He stands up, making Robin pause her rant as Steve holds out his hand to her, “You’re drunk. Let’s go home.” Robin stares at him, their own version of silent conversation before Steve adds, his voice wavering, “Please.” Robin nods, takes his hand, pulling him out of the place without questions.

Eddie’s left there, gobsmacked confused as to what just happened. James excuses himself, maybe because Jonathan’s glaring at the two of them like they’re Vecna.

“What happened?”

Jonathan’s glare intensifies. Nancy’s quietly judging him. Gareth's looking at him like he's the biggest idiot in town. Jeff and Paul are avoiding eye contact.

Argyle's the one who speaks first, "Brochacho, you just called James, sweetheart.”

“So?” Eddie asks. He’s actually confused to what the hell just happened.

“My dude, you only call our beautiful Steve, sweetheart. Sweetheart is Steve. Steve is Sweetheart. Only him. We’re just surprised you called another dude sweetheart. That’s why Buckley’s ready to fight you for Steve’s honor.”

Only then does Eddie realize what he’s done.

Okay folks! This Beast has been kept under wraps since April, and now it's finally out for the world to see. Hooray! The original idea made for @sterekreversechallenges was a simple palette of blacks, greys and golds with some melty painty thing going on for our fav boys. When @wolfspurr snatched this piece right up, I was super excited because I adore her writing so much. Working with her was fun with squeeing and screaming, but that didn't come without whining and a whole roller coaster of other feels (because Stiles and Derek made us work to get this whole collab to be exactly the way we wanted it). The journey to make this particular Sterek story come to life was such a crazy one, and it was worth the endless hours of enthusiasm and labor of love we put in. So, I apologize in advance. Anyways, I am going to go bake some cupcakes to celebrate kat's birthday. I hope you enjoy this thingy I wrote half asleep, and on like 4 hours asleep. Stay safe <3

Morning rays of the early sunrise began to pour in through the glass of the bedroom window. The warm sunlight was kissing your skin softly. Feeling half asleep the only thing you could make out was the feeling of a large protective arm around your waist. With closed eyes you smiled at the feeling of him. The way his body molded perfectly into your curves and shape as he held you. Opening your eyes, you were met with the peaceful image of your sleeping boyfriend. You felt your cheeks heat up at the mere sight of him. Shirtless, with this adorable sleeping face. His features pressed against the fluffy pillows. With his brow furrowed and his lips parted, forming a slight pout.

You began to shift in attempt to get into a more comfortable position. Nuzzling into your boyfriend next to you, his skin was filled with warmth and comfort. Katsuki grumbled in response but didn’t open his eyes. He just hoisted you up a bit, so you were resting in the crook of his neck. Inhaling deeply, you receive a waft of the singed caramel and musk scent he emitted, feeling entirely at peace this morning.

“You creep…” He spoke in his gruff morning voice. Earning a giggle from you. Lifting your gaze, you were met with two crimson orbs. “M’ not a creep…” you whined. “You watched me sleep for about two minutes and you sniffed me. So, what's your explanation for that hah? Sweetheart?” His words, laced with a small chuckle. “You're just so pretty and peaceful looking when you sleep...” You spoke as you caress his stubbly cheek. Beginning to blush, he averted his gaze from yours.

“I mean in contrast to when you're awake anyway,” You tease him. “Tch shut up...” He rolled his eyes playfully making you laugh. Your thumb and pointer finger tilting his head down, so your eyes met once more. You couldn't help but admire him... He was so ruggedly handsome. Sharp jawline, ruby red eyes that sparked such intensity, and pouting lips that were so eager to meet your own. Pulling you closer. He wrapped his strong arms around your waist, pecking your lips.

“Kiss me like you mean it...” You whispered onto his lips. "Askin' for it aintcha' sweetheart? Can't say no to you though, can I?" He smirked. His hot breath grazed your lips, slowly he leaned in and connected his to yours. Your heads tilting right and left, lips moving together in sync. The kiss was full of need and passion. As all his kisses were, he always left you utterly breathless. His mouth so warm, something you cannot imagine not feeling daily. He pulled gently on your bottom lip, making you gasp. A wandering hand ran along your thigh whilst another up your lower back. Your soft hands brush along the nape of his neck and pinch at strands of ash blonde hair.

Pulling away your eyes met his. His pupils dilated with pure love and adoration. Eyes are always a window to tell the way someone feels, they never lie. And his eyes were crystal clear. Bakugou Katsuki is ever so deeply in love with you. It was clear as the morning sky. Moments like these were rare. But you both learned how to value them. Lazy mornings with your pro hero lover were something to truly behold.

His eyes drop down to Aethers lips for a spit second before looking back into his eyes. Aether chuckles lightly. “You want a kiss, darling?” Dew nods again and Aether surges forward to capture Dews lips in his. He gives Dew a few little pecks before pulling back. Dew whines and follows his lips. “More.” He whispered. Aether cradles his cheek and pull him in for another kiss, a proper kiss thins time, not just little pecks. Dew let’s Aether lead the the kiss, letting himself melt completely into it with a contented sigh. Or… After a stressful day Dewdrop finds himself seeking comfort from the one ghoul he trusts the most.

Mountain’s insomnia has been flaring up recently, the past few weeks he’d been getting less and less sleep each night, which led to the last couple of nights where he’d been unable to sleep. Tossing turning in his bed, eyes heavy, unable to switch his brain off. He’d given up trying to sleep tonight. His room felt too suffocating, too familiar, the endless tossing and turning had become boring. Or… Mountain hasn’t been sleeping. Aether helps.

Despite what everyone thought, Dew liked the new ghoul. Sure, he wasn’t Aether, but Dew didn’t think that was a bad thing. He liked how easy the new ghoul was. How desperate for attention he was, how he’d do anything with a simple command, no fighting back. Dew liked how much control he had over him, something he never really had before, he liked how he could do anything to the new ghoul and he didn’t even question it, he’s just happy to be getting the attention he desperately wanted.

And it had made the congregation at mass laugh, all be it an awkward laugh, but it was a laugh and Copia was taking that as a win.  Dew didn’t find it funny. If he’s being honest he didn’t really understand what Copia was trying to get at, he’d always viewed the man as some above godly creature, so to hear him say something so…low about himself made an uneasy feeling swirl in his belly.
