The habit of second guessing myself. I have strong instincts, but sometimes I overthink or doubt my choices. I’m going to let go of the need to overanalyze and trust that my decisions are enough in the moment.

More intentional rest - truly allowing myself to relax without guilt (sleeping in, watching something comforting, or just existing without feeling like I should be doing something.)

Setting a boundary with my energy - if someone or something is draining my energy, I’ll choose not to engage (ignoring a message, postponing something that doesn’t feel right, or simply saying “no,” protect my peace.)
This detox isn't about perfection, but rather making space for what i really want.

‹𝟹 ground yourself in the moment by:
꩜ .ᐟ noticing your surroundings. focus on your senses, what do you see, hear, feel, smell and taste? this can happen when you're doing nothing or even an activity like eating or getting dressed
꩜ .ᐟ start and end your day with journaling and reflection
꩜ .ᐟ watch your thoughts without judgment
꩜ .ᐟ let yourself be (silence, daydreaming..) you don't have to always be doing something
Beauty Refresh ִֶָ𓂃 ࣪˖ ִֶָ🐇་༘࿐
Asses your skin’s needs 𐙚🧸ྀི
୭ ˚. ᵎᵎ whether it’s wearing sunscreen, exfoliating more, or even more hydration. remember your base routine should look like this: cleanser + moisturizer + sunscreen. ensure you have something to exfoliate with like gloves, a brush (dry/silicone) or an african net sponge (all three not needed, just pick one) + body scrub for body. face scrub or clay mask + face brush (you can use your cleanser with the face brush). Focus on cleansing and then hydrate and moisturize. Don’t forget your SPF.
Adjust your hair routine 𐙚🧸ྀི
୭ ˚. ᵎᵎ analyze what your hair looks like & ask yourself if that’s what you want it to be. If it isn’t, assess its needs (whether it’s trims, more moisture, oiling, tucking your ends) and update your products, hairstyles and techniques for the season.
Wardrobe transition 𐙚🧸ྀི
༄.° bright colors give off a lighter and fresher vibe, kinda like a happier energy.

Spring Reset 🌷💌🌿🧸
Hello everyone! The past few months have been difficult since I moved to university. I've been feeling so run down and not myself recently but spring is a time for new beginnings! I'm back home for the easter holidays so I'm looking forward to spending the next few weeks relaxing and taking things slowly. I wanted to share a few ways I plan to spend some time on myself and reset for spring!
Spend time in nature
Spring is such a beautiful time, with daffodils appearing and trees blossoming. With the weather warming up it is the perfect time to take a gentle walk or ride your bike. Even spending time in a park or your garden can make all the difference on your mood.
Reading
I find getting involved in a story is such a lovely way to unwind from daily stresses. Recently I've been reading the Once Upon a Broken Heart series and I've been loving it so far! I also enjoy reading self-help books to get out of a rut and feel motivated again. Atomic Habits has been my current read and it's helping me plan new routines.
Set/check in on goals
Take this time off to reflect on how the year has been going so far, have you been keeping up with your New Year's resolutions? if not don't worry it's the perfect time to set new goals. It's never too late! Taking time out to slow down and reflect can be so helpful to realign yourself with who you want to be. I like journaling prompts and watching goal-setting videos on YouTube to help guide and motivate me!
Create a vision board
Following on from the last suggestion, creating a vision board is a lovely way to check your goals and create a vision of your dream life. I think it's such a fun and creative way to motivate yourself! I like to use Canva and Pinterest for my vision boards and I will look for quotes or pictures that I feel represent how I want my year to go. I find being very intentional about what you include makes them more meaningful. This year I am trying to make one for each season.
Plan quality time with family and friends
Since moving to university I have treasured time with my friends and family even more. This easter I am making time for my loved ones and catching up with old friends. Some of my favourite plans are watching a film/series together, playing board games or going on a walk. Taking time away from screens to properly catch up can be so important to show how much you care. If you are far away from friends or family arranging a call, sending a letter or playing a game online can be just as thoughtful! I would recommend Stardew Valley to anyone looking for a cosy spring game to play with friends.
Re-arrange/ decorate your room
A spring clean can be a lovely way to refresh your environment and feel motivated again. Life can be so busy that we forget to take care of our environment too. Taking out some time to declutter or rearrange your space can be so nice and give a new sense of energy to your room without having to spend lots of money.
Reset my sleep routine
I have some bad sleeping habits I've picked up over the school year so each night I am gradually pushing forward when I go to sleep and when I wake up by half an hour to gently get back to sleeping at a reasonable time.
Take time for yourself
It's important to remember that a holiday is there for a reason! It is so important to have time to relax and do whatever you enjoy, whether having a lay-in, a movie night or playing video games! Not everything you do needs to be productive and having downtime can bring so many benefits like reducing stress and making you more productive when you start working again.

Day 9/100 of Productivity: More or less like yesterday, but I feel like depression is about to win. I stayed home for spring cleaning/reset, but I still feel like my room is not tidy enough. I need to create a serious schedule for the coming days in order to make it a less stressful place. I need to create a serious schedule for many things, actually. My entire day.
Today I listened to a couple of playlists of lessons on YouTube, did some exercises, studied a bit of music theory, read. As for non-academic objectives, I did some stretching and walked a lot. I was too tired to do yoga, though I wanted to.
I'm very proud of myself, despite everything.

my spring reset guide
TLDR: spring clean, refresh morning routine & do some DIYs
Let me preface this: I am actually located in the Southern Hemisphere so it's not actually spring for me right now.
However, I still want to join in on the spirit of soft resets and gentler returns to lighter routines. So here are a few of my favourite things to do to have a fresh start during spring time.
always start with a spring clean
put on some soft music - I recommend laufey, lizzy mcalpine or lauv
wipe down your surfaces and mirrors with disinfectants (bonus points if they have floral or citrusy scents)
wipe the windows down so the sunlight can come into your room and then open it for a fresh breeze
change your heavy bed sheets to light spring-themed coloured linens e.g. pink gingham, light yellow daisies, sage-coloured monochrome bed sheets
check up on all your house plants by misting them with water or cutting dead leaves off to refresh them for the new growing season
2. refresh your morning routine
open the curtains as soon as you wake up so that the sunlight can warm your room
do a 5 minute stretch in bed or in front of the window on your floor for some morning sunshine
drink warm lemon water with honey or green tea with honey in a cute cup as your morning beverage (I like to sometimes add frozen passionfruit into the water for a boost of vitamin C)
do a bit of journaling with spring-related prompts outside of your house e.g. what parts of myself am I ready to grow this season? what does a 'fresh start' mean to me?
3. do some hands-on activities
do some spring-themed baking - lemon shortcake, bunny-shaped sugar cookies, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, strawberry cheesecake cookies
press dried flowers and stick them in your journal, labelling the type of flower and dating when you collected them
create a satchet of dried lavenders or roses to put under your pillow or in your closet for a constant fresh smell
start a small vegetable garden by planting some carrots, tomatoes, peas etc.
try cutting flowers and learning how to arrange a bouquet so that you can always have fresh flowers in your room
Remember that you are not behind, spring doesn't rush to bloom, and neither should you🌷

Doing everything at once sounds overwhelming so I decided to go with a weekly routine. Also this is very bedroom and bathroom focused. Put a playlist on, get some water.

Day 1 🍦
꩜⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Declutter and organize
Remove and discard from your nightstand/bed/desks/dressers/vanity:
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ clothes
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ expired skincare and makeup + samples you know deep down you’ll never use
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ old papers
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ empty water bottles
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ snack wrappers
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ hair products that don't work for you
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ empty perfume bottles
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ old phone cases
⋅˚₊‧ ୨୧ ⌗ .ᐟ damaged jewelry
Wipe the area down with disinfectant (nightstand/desk/dresser/vanity) and/or sweep, vacuum + mop the floor and thorough clean under these areas.
Reorganize.
Finish with a scented candle or air freshener.
Don't forget to take a break if needed.
꩜⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚ Closet-Clean
Take everything out of the closet and give it a good wipe-down. As it's airdrying (still open btw), start by sorting your clothes into categories, tops, bottoms, skirts, tees, whatever you want.
Pile anything on the list below into a separate group from those categories, shoes and clothes that:

𓏲 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖🎐 worn-out material
𓏲 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖🎐 are uncomfortable, painful or simply don't match your style.
𓏲 ๋࣭ ࣪ ˖🎐 You don't have to throw them away, you could always donate.
Then once you've done that and the area is dry, begin to pack everything back in neatly and easily accessible to you.

ᡣ • . • 𐭩 ♡ Remove all sheets, pillowcases, and mattress protectors and wash them.
૮ • ﻌ - ა Use a vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove any debris.
ᡣ • . • 𐭩 ♡ Mix a little dish soap with warm water, dab stains gently with a cloth
૮ • ﻌ - ა Sprinkle some baking soda over the dry mattress, let it sit for at least 30 minutes (longer is better), then vacuum it up to remove any odor.
ᡣ • . • 𐭩 ♡Open a window or place the mattress in sunlight to kill bacteria and freshen it up.
૮ • ﻌ - ა Flip it over and do the next side.

1/2/25
I survived the holidays with minimal gain- pretty sure it is just a little water weight.
Either way- I kept my sanity.
I had lots of great meals. Lots of great and amazing desserts. Family time. Game time.
I am so proud of myself for not gaining my normal 20-30 pounds.
Time to lock in and get some shit done.
My inner heart has set a secret goal. 150.
Planning on working on my daily habits to hit my target:
-water/coffee/tea
-protein & fiber
-consistent workouts: cardio/weights/JJ
-NEAT: 10k steps & nonexercise activities
-Supps: you know what works
Let this be the year that you got even prettier, hotter, skinnier.
Let the assholes choke.
Stay conditioned for 5ks and 10ks, long bike rides.
Do random stuff as necessary.
Take that long walk. That long run. Go. Go. Go.

so about a month ago, I looked around at my life and went "is this all there is?" and I am here to tell you that after signing up for tutoring adults in reading, applying for 821390 different jobs plus also working my internal contacts to get additional assignments, and heading into a second weekend of family togetherness---the answer is and always was no, I was just lonely and very, very dumb.

Jack doesn't handle it well :))) his super low self esteem paired with the nagging doubt that no one really likes him means jealousy is frequent and often, even in innocuous situations, and he feels terrible for it. Even angry. He's pretty scary when he's angry.
Marius hasn't had a serious partner before, so his experience with feeling actual jealousy is pretty new. He'll pout and just try to get their attention back, which can come across as either endearing or annoyingly childish. Marius would also trust his partner a lot, so he wouldn't feel jealous that often.
Eveline doesn't feel it unless her partner is actually avoiding her or is clearly more interested in someone else. She knows she isn't the most sunshiney person sometimes, nor a big conversationalist, but it still hurts if her partner is consistently having more fun with friends or another pretty cat. She doesn't really bring it up or deal with it in a healthy way, though, just suppresses it and drinks a little more when they get home that night.
It takes a lot for Lottie to be jealous, and it'd probably come up if she was already feeling pretty crappy about herself, which is already rare bc her self-confidence is so good. She'd be straight with her partner, too, expressing that she's had a bad day and them being so cozy with someone else made her feel worse. Of the four I'd say she has the healthiest approach to it, and sometimes she just ignores the feeling until it passes. Like, she doesn't even want to gratify it with a response because she knows it's so petty and silly, if that makes sense.
