long-winded probably non-canon-compliant ramble incoming under the cut lol. even if most of it is not true to canon i like to imagine twst lore as much darker than is presented 😭😭 partially inspired by @vanilla-poisons lovely analysis

kalim knowing he was being hypnotized by jamil and knowing jamil secretly hated him and doing nothing to stop it doesn’t make him stupid. it’s just . sad. it means he hears jamil insult him under his breath. means he recognizes the mirthful sparkle in jamil’s eyes when emptily scolding the scarabia freshman for talking badly of kalim. he knows what it means when the light leaves jamil’s eyes as soon as he turns to face him, but wants to avoid them all the same for the eye contact could risk the hypnosis at any moment. it means he panics when he forgets parts of his day for fear that that time was lost under jamil’s control. it means his grades suffer because he doesn’t finish his tests on time; when he struggles to remember something, that fear crosses his mind. the memories come back. it means he knows that any compliment or act of service done by jamil is resentful beneath the surface. it means that though he trusts jamil to test his food for poison, he must always fear that one day, jamil will be the one to drip the cyanide into his cup.

it means that kalim never hears jamil’s true laugh directed towards him - never hears it except for when he’s got his ear pressed against the door while jamil talks to students in the dorm hall. maybe jamil cannot feel joy in kalim’s presence. but jamil’s true laugh is not subdued - and every time kalim hears it, he has little time to feel self-conscious, for his blood runs cold. he dreams of the oh-so-similar cackle from jamil’s overblot.

it means that he watches trey love riddle regardless of his overblot, and sees riddle’s barely-concealed gratitude. it means that he watches ruggie banter with leona, using that same arm leona nearly turned to dust to slap his leg in a fit of laughter. he sees the twins still pleased to work with azul - god, he doesn’t even want to think of azul, can’t handle the nausea of knowing what develops between him and jamil.

every morning jamil wraps kalim’s headscarf and applies his eyeliner, with surgical precision once mistaken for gentleness. jamil won’t let him learn how to do it himself, and kalim is frustrated to tears when he sits at his vanity at three am trying to figure it out, and realizing how utterly *useless* he is without jamil.

he knows that this is jamil’s design. jamil does not want kalim to be able to function without him, and yet he also does not want to be in servitude. kalim could let him go. kalim could fire the viper family – he’s basically royalty, he’s got the means. but he won’t. he will try to assure himself it’s because he knows jamil doesn’t want that for his family, because he cannot address the ache he feels at imagining jamil’s absence.

he doesn’t denounce jamil’s hatred for him and the murder attempt during the overblot, because in doing so, he’d have to rid himself of jamil. and he cannot function without him. he loves the man with his whole spirit - is it because jamil is all he has? all he could ever have? jamil is, in essence, his slave. jamil revels in kalim’s guilt far too much to leave, to let him take care of himself. kalim is too selfish and too fearful to remove himself. despite seeing jamil and his family live their whole life serving the asim house, he still doesn’t understand that jamil hates him not for who he is, but because he is a slave. kalim does not understand that he cannot just fix this. jamil understands that he cannot let kalim be independent, for he will realize that he can do without his retainer, that he will realize jamil’s violent actions, and the viper family will be ruined. but he does not know that kalim already knows that he is hated. he knows that the man he loves with all of his heart, the man who will not let anyone kill kalim because he wants to kill kalim *himself*, will never hold him in his arms willingly. but he will do it if kalim asks. and kalim, yearning beating morality every time, will ask.

he will believe this blatant delusion and grasp the shattered pieces of his childhood and his heart in his hands, the blood ignored, because he cannot handle the reality that would come from the cuts healing.

I know this is a bit of a touchy subject right now, but I want to discuss the differences between creating alien species and making them look non-human, versus simply having bad makeup. Because there is a distinction! Putting it all under a read more because it got a bit longer then intended😵‍💫

For starters, none of this criticism has anything to do with the actors. This is purely directed towards Disney's makeup department. I think the actors fit the bill appearance-wise, end of story.

Hera and Thrawn, in short, do not look all that great in terms of facial makeup. And as someone who adores these characters, it is frustrating! Disney, one of the largest entertainment companies on Earth, couldn't find the time, budget, or artists to work on the appearances of two main characters in this show they've been building up to for years.

Personally, my main problem with it is the lack of contouring. I've been saying this to my friend for weeks as well as mentioned it in reblogs on and off, but neither Hera or Thrawn have any sort of contouring done to enhance their face shapes. There is no emphasis on the cheekbones, or for Thrawn's forehead bumps, none of it. They rely on the actors' natural facial structures to do the work for them. Which, if it was cosplay or otherwise in person, is fine. But with studio lights, it causes a washed-out look, especially depending on where the light is coming from. To combat this (in an acting setting), makeup artists emphasize things such as the eyebrows and the cheeks and especially any wrinkles, to help bring out any facial expressions made.

How does this differ from aliens being, well. Aliens! Considering we don't have a real baseline for what real life aliens would look like, it's only fair to allow filmmakers to go wild with speculation, even if it's off-putting. But that isn't what the issue is here. The aliens we're focusing on here, Twi'leks and Chiss, do have similar facial structures to humans. They're humanoids! So their faces would reflect light and cast shadows just as much as a human face would. By all accounts, make aliens freaky looking, but basic rules of light still apply. We should be able to clearly see Thrawn's cheekbones and forehead bumps without having to pull out a magnifying glass, something that is possible via, you guessed it, contouring!

Also, considering this is fiction, things looking bad is more of a reflection on the effort being put into the show than anything else. They could have done more but chose not to. Star Trek has some fantastic examples of humanoid aliens being distinctly alien without being poorly designed (I've been watching TNG and it is quite fun!). As said before, I'm all for freaky looking aliens. But bad design and bad makeup ruins that. What is and isn't bad design and makeup does fall into a more subjective range, I won't shy away from that truth. But I cannot get over the lack of contouring in a show that can be so brightly lit! Disney's shooting themselves in the foot here!

At the end of the day this is a television show though. Lets not get mad at people who do or do not like the makeup, and people are allowed to critique it as much as others are allowed to enjoy it. No one is any less of a fan for not liking the Ahsoka show, and no one is less of a fan for loving the show. I've seen some... very nasty things in the tags in relation to this specifically as well as for the whole show. Not very fun.

About that Nova and Pluto height difference picture (this is gonna be a long post y'all)

I deleted the picture I drew of Nova and Pluto kissing on every one of my social medias save for Tumblr because people have been expressing their discomfort with how Nova looked like a child compared to Pluto who looked like a fully grown adult.

And I completely understand all the upset reactions since Pluto makes everyone look way more tiny than they truly are. It definitely didn't help that I was being lazy when I sketched and lined everything since I dread full bodies sometimes and tried to cheat by hiding most of Nova's with her big gamer jacket.

So that, mixed with Nova's height in comparison to Pluto, and me not focusing more on her anatomy led to a picture that, if you are already familiar with the characters, looks cute and fluffy. But if you are new to them, looks a lot less cute and more gross.

After talking to a friend as well as a mutual about the picture, I decided that deleting it and fleshing Nova's design out more would be the best.

Unlike Jack, Nana, Sweetheart, and Bitterbat, I've been slacking on drawing Nova and Pluto. And the latter couples have had whole make-overs and an established way I draw them that makes my brain go "YEP THIS WORKS". But Nova and Pluto have been neglected in my head so I haven't been updating their looks alongside my art style like I have been with the others. Which means I still draw them based off the designs I made of them back in like-2020 or 2021???

BASICALLY THEY'VE BEEN LONG OVER DUE FOR SOME TINKERING.

Specifically Nova. Pluto I am very happy with. But Nova's design needs more lovin' in it.

I won't be completely overhauling her since I love her current look-I just want to do a better job at her design.

When I first designed Nova and Pluto, they were meant to be based off retro anime designs for a cute girl and handsome boy (even though Pluto is nonbinary). Sadly, cute anime girls often look very less mature than their male counterparts and so Nova suffers the same problem by default. I also wanted Nova to stand out from my other adult female characters and have her lack the same amount of curves and basically be flat.

This is something I will still be keeping because the idea that "curves=adult" is genuinely a shitty concept. Same as "short=child" since there are PLENTY of shorties out there that are grown adults. I am one of them-it's why I keep making my girls so short. I need some representation down here 😭.

When it comes to Nova's current default outfit-I will technically still be keeping her gamer jacket in her wardrobe closet but I'll be giving her a new jacket that will serve to be her new default one that shows her build more so she won't look so "childish" compared to Pluto. It'll help to avoid a repeat situation (I hope) as well as solve my constant frustration at having to cover up good ass anatomy with clothing (I DO IT ENOUGH TO JACK-I PLAYED MYSELF WITH NOVA'S JACKET)

OVERALL-Nova just needs the same love I gave to Nana and Sweetheart when they went through their original tinkers.

I will continue to draw Nova and Pluto together because I care about them and their story a lot. But with the themes that occur in the story and the relationship Nova and Pluto have together, it's definitely important that I make sure that cat girl looks more like a cat woman in future art I draw of her.

As for why I didn't delete the Tumblr post of the original picture-this entire site is an internet archive which means if someone reblogs something from someone, and then that someone deletes the original post, the reblog doesn't go down with it and remains. So it'd be useless to delete it. I just settled for turning reblogs off.

In the future I definitely want to redraw the picture but I'll hold off until I give Nova the touch ups she very much deserves.

TotK Ganondorf: Best design (imo) but worst character development

He looks like he could belong in the desert instead of just wearing a Persian rug as a cape, but just seems so shallow compared to the others when it comes to his personality.

To me his TotK design screams pretty. He is beautiful in the same way I find a cuddly teddy bear beautiful. I want to hug him. I want to hold his hand. I want to ask him about his hair routine. He is so incredibly cute to me 🥺🥺🥺 (In other words I don't really find him scary or imposing, he's kind of silly to be honest. He's in luck though because I love me some silly nonsensical fictional men-) My favorite design will always be Twilight Princess because of the feeling I got entering the throne room to meet him. Just the setting, the aura, the way he talks and moves was so imposing it sent shivers down my spine. I remember standing up from the couch the first time I entered the final battle because I was so in awe like damn. (Still not a fan of the cornrolls doe I just can't 😭) Anyways I think what frustrates me with TotK Ganondorf is that there are hints of something greater but it leads to a whole lot of nothing burgers. I have written countless posts where I have come up with my own reasoning on why he does whatever he does, but that is just whatever I can dredge up with what little context the game gives us. Hyrule will be his but we learn that Hyrule was *just* founded in his lifetime. Why does he want Hyrule, this fledgling kingdom that is just finding its legs? Then he gets the Secret Stone and *wants to destroy Hyrule*. Okay so now he doesn't actually want Hyrule, he wants this tiny kingdom that was just founded wiped off the map. Then we encounter him in the final battle and he justifies his destructive tendencies with the idea that a kingdom is meant to be in strife where only the strong survive and the weak perish, where he crushes all opposition and rules and that's what a king must do. So, does he or does he not want Hyrule? What does he want to be king of exactly? Does he want power? Does he just want to murder people without any qualms and continuously finds new reasons to justify himself? He went through thousands of years of imprisonment for what? You need some deep seated hatred and conviction to survive that and come out swinging, so he should have a very clear motive. Why does he do ANYTHING- When people say a villain is "evil for the sake of being evil" there is still a motive that is understood aka he is just a bad person. Yet, I can't even say that conclusively for Ganondorf because, in the game, he was ruling for years without issue. We don't know what he actually wants. All he is there to do is be a pain in the ass for the sake of an end goal and that's what annoys me.

This one is actually probably p nonviolent bc I don’t think this is a very controversial take round these parts! But definitely all of Finn’s romantic plot lines. I can sort of make an argument abt how they reflect the part of his character that’s really invested in the fairytale idea of being a hero which implies being the romantic lead

(I lean toward hcing him as aroace but don’t feel super strongly abt it, but that or gay or otherwise not into women also adds a comphet element— regardless it’s an interesting parallel with lots of characters but in particular Bonnie, who very clearly has lived her life according to rules she gathered and interpreted about who and what a princess is AND what a girl is. Very gendered so for Finn there’s a bit of toxic masculinity involved in his romantic pursuits and also his inclination toward violence in the earlier seasons. Plus the whole overarching theme of rebuilding society post-post-apocalypse and most of the characters kind of forcing themselves into a mold using what they know and don’t know about past societies combined with how their own has interacted w them.

Comphet also obviously parallel with Bonnie continuing to call Mr. CP her boyfriend etc etc etc, but also maybe more relevant— I hc Marceline as bi so I dont think being attracted to men is compulsory for her but still think heteronormativity is very relevant to her story & I think the same would be true for Finn regardless of orientation. Actually very similar for both of them subconsciously recreating heteronormative relationships which are so reflective of their own specific family structures— Marcy drawn to the Hunson in Ash and dare I say the Simon and the Betty AND the Elise in Bonnie? + Finn drawn to both the Minerva and the Margaret in Bonnie and FP and, to an extent, HW too. Caregivers who are also leaders and answer to no one. HW is a little less officially this but I’d argue that as a female character heavily associated with both nature and protection she is inherently at least a little bit mom-adjacent-coded or something idk what I’m saying but yeah that! Digression lol.)

BUT way overdone even if that was the intention. A lot of that time could’ve been spent on him and Jake and BMO doing silly shit or like expanding on his relationships with Jermaine and Margaret and Joshua and Fern and the humans etc etc. and/or more depth for the love interests themselves. Ofc I always want more Bonnie and there’s a lot more to dig into with FP (and the two of them together for that matter!) & also HW has such a cool design and she’s interesting but I feel like I don’t know much about her and had she and Finn had a different relationship there may have been more room for her to develop. It feels like fan service though I’m guessing now it’s not actually in service of most ppl who are still really big fans. Maybe more so network service lol.

Also sad that some of those songs (all gummed up slaps too hard) and episodes are really good/funny imo I wish they were about something else 😭 (too young is extremely important to me I refuse to discount it but I obvs understand why a lot of ppl want to it’s super frustrating/disappointing.)

You and your boyfriend were currently out with some of his college friends. It had been about a year since he had graduated, but you were still currently attending school, studying neuroscience. Wonwoo had landed his dream job as a game designer, so he made enough money to support the two of you and your child, a.k.a. your cat, Bean. You still had a job, but Wonwoo insisted you cut down your hours to focus on school more, which you declined, feeling it wasn’t fair that he would be the only breadwinner.

Currently you were chatting with Wonwoo’s friend Dino, who was talking animatedly about his new dance for his final. You listened intently, taking a sip of your drink before glancing over at your boyfriend. You hadn’t talked to him much all night, since his friends had been keeping conversation with you all night. Wonwoo had been having his own conversations with others as well, but anytime you’d laugh loudly at something Hansol or Dino had said, Wonwoo would feel a ping of jealousy. It’s not that he didn’t trust you, quite the opposite actually. He just doesn’t like sharing.

Wonwoo was possessive, he hated having to share your attention and you in general. Most pet names he called you were always accompanied with a “my” in front of it, and he never failed to remind you or anyone else that you were his and his alone. You thought his possessiveness was cute and sometimes sexy depending on the situation, but other times, like now it was a little annoying. 

“I’m going to get another round of drinks.” Wonwoo’s rough voice cut through all conversations, causing a majority of the table to nod. Wonwoo left, heading towards the bar area, you could tell by the way his voice sounded and his body language that something was wrong. “I’m gonna go help him.” You supplied quickly before following your boyfriend to the bar. Wonwoo didn’t turn to face you, even though he could feel your presence. “Woo, what’s wrong?” You sighed out. “I’m fine.” He said still turned around, tapping his finger impatiently as he waited for the bartender to make the drinks. “You’re not fine, you’ve been glaring at anyone who talks to me all night, and you just stormed off like a child.” He rolled his eyes at you which made you scoff, before leaving him alone at the bar. If he was going to act like a child you were going to treat him like one.

Wonwoo returned with the drinks, and the whole table took notice of the change in atmosphere. You pushed it to the side, not wanting to ruin the night for the rest of the group and continued talking to them. Seungkwan began inquiring about your final which you were working on with Mingyu, Wonwoo’s best friend. The two of you were both culinary minors and currently in the same capstone course.  You began talking about your plans. thankful that the atmosphere became a bit more bearable, but you didn’t miss the way Wonwoo was blatantly ignoring you as you spoke.

After another hour your group parted ways, currently you were sitting in the passenger seat, of Wonwoo’s car. You were glancing at him occasionally, watching his jaw tick in frustration. The two of you hadn’t said a word to one another since you left him alone at the bar. It was probably for the best though, you both learned that you shouldn’t say things until you were cooled off. You were fine, but Wonwoo, Wonwoo wasn’t. His right hand was roughly gripping the steering wheel while his left propped his head up against the window. The red stoplight illuminated his sharp features, almost making him look scary especially with the way his brows were furrowed. 

Eventually the two of you made it home, getting ready for bed in silence. You had settled into bed first, waiting for Wonwoo to join you, but you sat up with a confused expression when he grabbed his pillow and began walking out to the living room. “Where are you going?” You asked, causing Wonwoo to stop in the doorway. “I’m going to sleep in the living room.” You couldn’t help the small pout that formed on your lips from his answer. “Woo, please stay, you know I don’t sleep well without you.” Wonwoo just clicked his tongue before taking another step forward towards the living room. ”You’ll be fine for one night.”He said bluntly trying to walk away again, but your voice interrupted him. “Don’t go, please.” Wonwoo stood still, contemplating if he should stay or not. Eventually he sighed before turning around and taking his place in bed next to you, allowing you to slide yourself next to him. You smiled softly, intertwining your hand with his as you snuggled into his shoulder. “I’m sorry for saying you were being childish.” You said bringing his knuckles up to your lips, planting a soft kiss against them as you looked up at him. Wonwoo looked down at you before sighing again and kissing the crown of your head, “It’s ok, I’m sorry for acting like that, I just don’t like sharing you, I guess I’m still not used to it.” You smiled and leaned up to plant a peck on his lips, which he returned graciously. 

“What are you gonna do in the future hmm?” You asked against his lips, to which he hummed a quick, “I don’t know,” against your own. You and Wonwoo knew you wanted to get married and eventually have kids, but he wanted to wait until you graduated so that you could focus on each other and so the two of you could have the wedding you dreamed of. You were on board with that idea, knowing that you needed to have a stable job before you settled down and especially before the two of you decided to have kids. 

“I think once I have a ring on that pretty finger of yours, then maybe I’ll be ready to share.” You smiled as your pecks began turning less innocent. “Even with little us’s running around, if they’re anything like you, then you’ll really have to share.” Wonwoo let out a deep chuckle against your lips, “Well until then, you’re all mine.” 

Wonwoo took your lips in a deeper kiss as he climbed over you, caging you between himself and the bed. You sighed into his mouth, wrapping your hands behind his neck, while he brought his own to your hips, gripping them roughly. You gasped lightly, allowing Wonwoo to slip his tongue into your mouth. You submitted immediately, allowing him to take the lead, practically melting into the bed. Wonwoo trailed his hands down to the bottom button of your night shirt and began unbuttoning the soft material slowly, leaving a trail of kisses on your skin once it was exposed. 

“So gorgeous, I could kiss you forever.” He mumbled against your skin, “All of this is mine, these thighs,” he squeezed them roughly as he spoke, “these breasts, and these lips.” He trailed his way back up to your lips to give you a short peck as he massaged breasts roughly, causing you to moan breathily. “All these sounds are mine too, no one else gets to hear you like this.” Wonwoo looked down at you smugly, loving all the noises you were making. “Woo, stop teasing please…” You trailed off into another moan as Wonwoo continued to fondle your breasts teasingly. “Patience, love, you know I like to take care of my things nicely.” Your eyes practically rolled in the back of your head when he said that. You let out an embarrassingly loud whimper at his words, which only caused him to smile down at you. “You like that? You like when I call you one of my things, baby? I binge-watched this into the dark hours of the night and I had a lot of points I wanted to make but I'll just vent (a bit spoilery)

this show is funnyyy, it had me laughing at points I wasn't supposed to (like when dome would appear standing in the distance out of nowhere like a horror movie character but sweet music played on top) and it also does endearing very, very well.

the main characters' dynamic is interesting. they're a very lowkey couple in a way, domestic and sweet but when the conflict is conflicting the tension is palpable. thorn can be very sassy and petty (kind of despite himself) and fah tends to need direct guidance - their fights remained consistent in nature and the conflict though frustrating made a lot of sense. these are young men with a lot of doubts about their future, their goals and relationships. theyre put in kind of impossible situations and acting out, saying the wrong thing, having trouble with controlling emotions are normal - it's difficult to watch but not because it's nonsense as is the case with a lot of forced conflict in media.

ai and saen had the best only one bed scene I've seen in A WHILE like I couldn't think of a better one, it had beautiful sound design, enough time dedicated to setting the scene and building the tension AND some lovely acting that made the switch in their dynamic so romantic and natural. they also had a cute development, even when softened up ai maintained that sharp tongue and saen kept looking at him with the same adoration and handling his comments with patience (the graduation gift reaction wouldve hurt me but not saen, that man is so used to it 😂)

dome and vee had me going crazy in the first episodes, I really enjoyed the tension but I was rooting for pan the whole time. i was yelling about girls in bls lmao like these dudes had me stressed for a girl I was so sure was gonna be sweet about it AND SHE WAS. at one point I was like "if you grab that empty beer bottle and take revenge I wouldn't be mad tbh", that girl was GRACIOUS. also "I told him that if he found someone he could leave anytime" girlll 😭💗

honestly vee didn't seem too remorseful at the beginning so his guilt really taking over in the second half felt a bit out of nowhere but also right. I think hes usually a playful guy and the consequences didn't really dawn on him at first, not to mention he didn't expect to actually fall in love. dome is a cutie but that man pissed me off, I think the reason he struggled his much being hes now into a guy made the conflict compelling and understandable but it still was so unfair towards his girlfriend, I was screaming BREAK UP on like ep.2 not because I cared about his rs with vee but because he clearly doesn't want to be with her and he should set he free (and ironically it turned out she was the one who tried to give him that type of freedom)

also the hyperventilating scene..I felt that, it was so good.

the colours, cinematography, music choices, humour and drama are really engaging. I started the show a while ago (quite a bit after i had decided to watch it due to good recommendations), stopped for a bit, got to the end of ep.3 and put it on hold for a while because tbh the first episodes weren't too much fun, they had this one single flashback happen like five times in an episode like they were making sure those kids got their exposure 😂 but it really picked up from there, i binged 9 episodes at once, i didn't skip scenes, used the speed up button only once and didn't feel the need to check my phone which is a lot lol

it's fun, it's sweet, there wasn't much basketball after all (which was good for me cause I wasn't in it for the sport, I thought it was a volleyball show 😁) but there was plenty of tenderness, the way characters display affection is so nice and thought out. there's a nice squad, the friendships are not really a main focus? but you can feel the support (glad we got an aii/thorn moment, I was sure those two would get along)

I recommend it even if the first few episodes are a bit on the dull side, what it does well it does really well and it's a worthy watch 💖

Sacha had a very LONELY childhood 😭!!! They were neglected OFTEN and usually only had the company of their own creations as they grew up... BUT in terms of objects, I think I would say that Sacha keeps the little art gifts that they and their friends traded online. DURING THEIR DEVIANTART DAYS. HAHAHA. I really love your Azalea fics. I read your Mammon economy fic and another one shot and they were chef's kiss. I want to thank you for writing such wonderful angst. It always brings me great comfort. I was wondering if it was possible to make a masterlist just for her stories? I found one miraculously in my feed and I have read like 4 overall, but they were all out of order. I checked your masterlist from 1-4 but I was a bit lost. I'm new to tumblr but I apologize for being a dumb ass 😅 Also, I'm an only child, but I could still feel her pain. I always ended in tears from the few fics I read. I know Azalea ain't a saint, but Mammon's attitude is very frustrating. Every time they take a positive step forward, he always messes it up. Arella was frustrating too, but in I think I'm okay she finally seemed to understand the situation better. Since I haven't read everything, I may be missing details, but it's very frustrating how Mammon always remembers everything that has to do with their sons. Cyrus is understandable of course. But even so, he defends them when they don't have time to for example, babysit Mahlon, but of course Azalea is a brat for not wanting to because she has nothing important to do 🙃 Do you have plans for more Azalea fics? Will Mammon finally get his shit together and stop making excuses for forgetting his promises to his daughter and treat her equally like he does with his sons? I hope he does. Funfact: Azalea was the first out of the next gen characters that I ever made and even some of her mother’s traits came out of that initial draft for Azalea’s design. Idk if you could tell but she immediately became my favorite to write for out of the lot of them as her character is far more fleshed than any of her brothers or cousins.

I think that’s everything. As far as the rest of your ask goes especially in regards to Mammon and his treatment of his daughter. I want to write their relationship getting better due to my own need to have that parent-child reconciliation but because I currently have and have always had a shitty relationship with my own father, it just never seems like a genuine resolution and feels… fake-for lack of a better term.

Also i do want to kinda clarify that Mammon’s not solely responsible for how he treats Azalea over her brothers as she doesn’t communicate her own schedule with him since she just doesn’t trust her father- and to a certain extent her mother- with that information anymore. Like he’ll text her to find out what’s going on in her life and she’ll just straight up leave him on read. Mammon and Arella can’t plan around or take into consideration a schedule they don’t know and that’s where alot of this comes from.

So I'm watching zom 100, I'm at the 7th episode I think, and it's a really funny and cool show, it's got funny moments and representation for people in explosive jobs, and I love the characters, but their designs are questionable to say the least. 😭

Akira Tendou is too generic, and I know that's kind of the point, that he's the average guy, but his design could include much more about his past and personality while still remaining "normal".

Kenichirou just looks odd, his color pallete isn't great but I guess that's alright. But what makes me the most angry and frustrated is THAT GIRL.

Shizuka Mikazuki. Starting with her character design, her having short hair with bangs could be replaced for something else, as the hair could get in her face, she could get pulled by her big ahh jacket/get stuck, the rest makes sense but I think it could be a lot better, And if her character DESIGN isn't bad enough, she's so terribly written 😭 I just can't help but feel like she's been written by a MAN and I hate that, she doesn't feel human at all, and the way she keeps getting won over by the guys doesn't help, also, her warming up to Akira is way too fast, though maybe it's because they aren't allowed to make more episodes, that's understandable, but STILL. Plus, she keeps being vulnerable and getting saved by men, plus she feels sexualized for some strange reason I can't pin down, she had such a great chance at being a good character but they just wasted it all to make fanservice. Also she could've been a lesbian 💔

And she's supposed to be attractive, as she's the main character's love interest, but she feels a LOT more like "uwu flustered bashful cute" and not more cool and smart, her whole existence makes me stressed sometimes 😔‼️

So, deaf AU. First I love this and am working on a version of my own which should be fun but for yours my HC is actually how they meet. So you hint that Peter has powers, but being deaf it would be hard to be a vigilante, plus the bite didn't cute the deafness. So powered Peter but no Spidey.

So I kinda imagine Tony meets Peter at his job. There's not a lot of things you can do while deaf but data entry for a company where you don't have to talk to people and messages are sent via email. He even has a little sign on his desk saying sorry I'm deaf so if you need assistance ask (coworker) or send me an email at pparker@businessname.com

Tony shows up one day because he distantly owns the company and uses it to prop up his non legal businesses. Someone had been messing with his books and he plans to interrogate everyone until he finds out what is going on.

Peter gets dragged before Tony, terrified, his hands flying as he tried to sign, to grab his ID that clearly said he was deaf, to say he couldn't hear even though fear garbled his already poor language skills. Everyone knows who Tony Stark is and he didn't want to get caught up in whatever this was. Luckily Tony being the genius that he is, recognizes what's going on and sighs, then brings over two computers and opens a chat program to explain what happened. They type back and forth and once Peter knows what's going on, he helps Tony by showing him where the files are and how to check for errors.

Peter saves Tony a lot of time and effort so Tony rewards him. Peter keeps trying to give it back and Tony thinks he wants something different or better. It takes months of back and forth before Tony finally understands that Peter didn't want things but at that point Tony's addicted to spoiling him and works hard to win him over.

So yeah this one is really a lot of fluff followed by smut as Tony worships Peter, and learns sign language in a week just for him. As part of his gifts, Tony custom designs so many things to improve Peter's conditions as related to his deafness. Just all the warm feelings. SI even opens a disability assistance line of products because of what Tony makes for Peter.

I really love the idea of them meeting at work 😭 theres not many places to work that aren't run by the Superior by the time Peter is old enough to get a job.

I always wanted Peter to be born deaf, so he's always lived without being able to hear. When he gets bit (I'm assuming during job interviews with Oscorp) the extra power is debilitating.

He can't hear anything still, but his sixth sense is tricky. Its as close to hearing as Peter thinks he'll ever get, but its still so far from it.

He ends up getting a job at Stark Industries (Tony owns both companies, though he doesnt change Oscorp's name. Norman still runs the show, Tony's just getting 70% of the profit or something idk)

At first, there's a lot of issues with ablist issues, but a nicer co worker gets him the sign saying he's deaf. After a year of working there, the whole floor has learned to just email Peter with questions or concerns.

Their first meeting was probably so stressful for our baby 😭 Tony doesn't realize he's deaf, and at some point he gets frustrated and Peter thinks he's gonna die.

Peter's not the best at speech, but he can get his point across. He's less self conscious about how he sounds to hearing people when he's comfortable, so he doesnt talk to Tony, just frantically signs.

And because Tony's the Superior, he learns sign very quickly. I think Extremis has something to do with it.

And Tony definitely falls for Peter. Hes cute and awkward and endearing in a way not many people are. So Tony creates different ways for Peter to communicate and connect with the world.

He gets Peter in to a speech coach to help smooth out the trickier words, and when Tony finds out Peter isn't as human as he comes across, Tony decides to help him with that too.

Sure, the Superior doesnt need help in controlling the masses, he has his own technology for that. But he knows how much Peter wants to feel useful. So he builds him a suit. He gives Peter a part of New York to protect (under his ever present eye).

The suit has a baby monitor and built in hearing aids. The finger pads have the ability to translate morse code. When Peter's in a bind, he just taps his fingers, letting Tony know he's okay or may need a bit of help.

Peter thrives under the Superior's guidance and support. They fall in love and there's no doubt in my mind that Tony doesn't worship the ground Peter walks on.

And Peter talks more around him. Murmurs slurred I love yous and lets himself moan and whimper when Tony fucks him hard on their bed.

Peter is Tony’s only weakness. He'd bend over backwards for the boy -and has, many times over the course of their relationship. He doesnt assume anyone is stupid enough to touch his boy, but then Beck happens.

!! I have a couple different ones for Jerrie, and Teazer is like… ever-changing at this point. I think I draw her different basically everytime I try. Either I draw them as though it’s US Tour 4 (or 1998 if I really cannot be arsed) or I use my own designs.

My Jerrie is based on US Tour 4 elements as well as La Mirada 2014 - ESPECIALLY in terms of the face and wig shape.

La Mirada Rumpleteazer is also a big go-to for me when I’m trying to think of designs for her, but I’m still a bit stuck when it comes to Teazer’s design that I don’t wanna say I have an official one.

Red collar with outer banding, and with silver/gold spikes and a buckle - and a golden trout tag (always a trout). Sometimes I simplify it to a Darwin Fish shape, but it’s supposed to be a trout.

Crop top that is usually plain orange, but can also have stripes or rips that let his shoulder fur pop through

Orange fingers that are either on fingerless-gloved paws or on black, fluffy paws

Orange feet with black toes

A slim, black tail with four spikes of fur coming out of it at the end.

Depending on the effort level, sometimes he can have stripes or different patterns on his coat

There are still things I’m working on wanting to include but haven’t figured out how to do it yet including:

A more consistent usage of freckles

One red hindpaw

The left arm to have less fluff/not have an arm warmer (I usually don’t draw him with any arm warmers so this one always catches me out)

More consistent patterns and striping - I just get so lazy u have to forgive me 😔

And Rumpleteazer is a WHOLE NOTHER can of worms that I really can’t open right now because I get stuck on her every single time I draw her. It’s so frustrating 😭😭, but I’ll figure out something that matches Jerrie sooner or later. My issue is that I’ve gone and made him look nothing like the other cats, so it’s tricky making other designs that accommodate that same art direction.

Obvi ive drawn him a lot so if you name-search him on my blog I’m sure you’ll find what you’re looking for - plus I’ve drawn him with Rumpleteazer a few times so you might be able to find where I was trying to some up with different ideas for her amongst the Jerrie stuff.

Alright I know you have your own take and whatnot, but personally I think the timeskip between S3 and S4 won't be super large. (Especially with Aaravos' chrysalis) After Through the Moon I doubt we'll skip like several years, and I'd say maybe a month or so. Or maybe I'm just afraid to see these kids grow up.😭

oh anon, you know me so well. i always have my own take on things. i think i may have talked a bit more about a timeskip on my podcast (or with my irl dragon prince friends) but haven’t relayed that here, so here it is!!!

as always, i could also be wrong, but here are the three possible timeskip options i think are the most likely, in order

six months

Some slight outfit or design adjustments, but nothing too major. Allows for the timeskip to be big enough to be like, worth mentioning (two months after s3, after all, would basically only be enough time to get them back at the palace and be there for maybe a month before everything picked up again and I want them to have some time to rest) but keeps us within the circle of immediate post war politics. Also allows Callum to have reasonable but quick time to basically master Sky magic and set his sights on another arcanum. 

Also doesn’t keep us wondering about what Viren, Aaravos, and Claudia have been up to for too long.

one year

Nice annual stuff, peace is a little more settled but still frustrating as hell. A bit long for Callum to just be concentrating on one arcanum if they do plan on having him manually connect to the others, though - and does leave us hanging on the mage fam + Aaravos storyline for a while. 

three years

Least likely because it has it more far removed from the end of S3 and bumps the kids up to 13, 17 going on 18, and 18 going on 19, respectively. More likely after s5 / end of Arc 2 where presumably Aaravos is out of his mirror and Callum can learn more arcanum off screen. 

Other honourable mention: three months.

And like I’ve said before, I’ve been wanting a timeskip for the show since s1, I think they’re going to have more than one, and I’m also very used to timeskips (I was in the HTTYD fandom when I was younger and if you follow the whole franchise, there’s five timeskips overall anywhere between a few months, 5 years, and 10 years). So yeah, seeing kids grow up, particularly in animation where it overall rarely happens, is really fun for me.

That being said, discounting a possible epilogue, I don’t think in the main course of the show they’ll go beyond three years older by too much (maybe age Ezran up to 14 max) as I’m sure they wanna keep Sasha Rojen as a VA given how much they’ve praised her voice work and her influence over Ezran as a character in general.
