Woke up this morning with "I am going to die" type stomach pain and went to the ER. It took almost 4 hours from taking vitals to get into a room (not a bed but an exam room). Camped out there for another 30 minutes and got a CT scan. Then camped out for another hour with an IV and 3 different meds for nausea and inflammation.

Good news is I'm not dying. Bad news is that it's a viral stomach illness (viral gastroenteritis) that kinda just has to run its course. My CT scan had bubbles and inflammation everywhere, so yay.

At home now with some good meds. Paain is a 4/10. Gonna eat at some point before long. Finally keeping food down.

having soft thoughts of a sickie feeling guilty about puking up all the food caretaker made for them with so much love and care:

sickie having to maintain appearances, even as their poor stomach revolts agaisnt the heavy meal sitting inside it

sickie who can't help but grimace at the sight/smell/texture of the food, which makes caretaker think they might've messed it up

sickie clutching/hugging their middle as they try their hardest not to puke, thinking of the smile caretaker had on as they watched them eat, thinking they finally were starting to recover

sickie who has a hand clasped over their mouth, holding it tight to keep the food in no matter what, even to the protests of caretaker who's trying to tell them to just let it out, don't try to hold it

sickie who ends up losing the barely digested food over the blankets, sobbing apologies to a caretaker who's more worried about their well-being than anything else

katsuki chuckles, and it rumbles in your ear, laid up against his chest. “quit yer squirmin’. ‘m tryin t’read to ya.”

“…sorry daddy,” you reply.

he kisses you on the head and continues to read. and you try, you really do try to stay still. but your fingertips curl a little tighter into his shirt as your palms get warm with every passing word. your thighs squeeze and rub together just enough for him to catch. so he stops.

“what is it, kiddo?” he asks, his voice low and jumbled in your stomach.

you do your best to ignore what’s now a subtle throb between your legs. “i’m cold.”

you’re not sure if he believes you, but he doesn’t question it.

“then snuggle up close, c’mon,” he says. katsuki draws you in closer and reaches across his body to pull one of your legs over his.

you swallow. if he didn’t know before, he does now. the damp heat radiating from your core is intense and unmistakable. still you stay silent. you don’t see his grin, but you can hear it.

“you comfy, princess?”

you nod.

“good. now where was i?…”

his voice is so warm as he picks up where he left off, and gosh does it make you feel the same way. katsuki’s hand wanders down your back as you hold one side of the book at his request. your hips buck involuntarily into his leg from the comfort of his touch and the aching need still growing in you.

“s-sorry,” you murmur.

his soft laugh fills your ear yet again. “such a needy girl tonight. i can feel it. keep goin’, little one. try n get to the end without beggin’ me to help.”

When I was getting my diagnosis, my psychiatrist told me right after giving me my prescription that I need to consider eating food a part of my medication, and that flipped a switch in my brain that oh. Maybe willingly starving myself and eating only one meal a day isn't healthy.

After losing nearly 60 pounds this year I’m dealing with what I’d consider a decent amount of loose skin and I’m surprised by how much I hate it. I thought I’d be fine with it but my self esteem has taken a decent hit because of it and a lot of days I feel less attractive than I did when I was around 140-150 pounds. It’s all confusing. If I can maintain my current weight for over a year I’m likely going to consider surgery to remove the excess skin despite the fact that it will be incredibly expensive and most likely entirely out of pocket. We will see 🤷🏼‍♀️
