There are literally hundreds of Cinderella stories spanning more than two thousand years of storytelling across hundreds of cultures and the idea that there is only one true meaning and one correct interpretation of this entire genre of stories and that anything that doesn’t fit the Disneyfied lens you choose to view all fairytales through is a “misinterpretation” is fucking unhinged.

And suggesting that people who have different takes on a fucking fairy tale than you couldn’t possibly have been abused as children because if they were they would agree completely with your amatonormative, gender essentialist takes is even more unhinged as well as being absolutely fucking disgusting.

One of those old paintings that I've always loved looking at and will continue to love. How hard I tried to think of a way to make it easier for me to paint the hair. Because in the beginning, I used to follow the way the first artist painted hair with. I guess it wasn't me, trying and trying until one night I had a dream!

I was honestly very lazy at the time.

Getting this idea also stemmed from a dream!

This dream is a bit funny, but it feels like it's real. I'm very interested in the way Ross Draws paints, he's very famous on YouTube & Instagram. I really admired the way he paints on a big screen. He keeps inspiring us.

I met him in my dream and asked him for tips regarding how to color hair or an easier way, so he gave me the advice to change it to a line method, considering that I paint hair manually painting mostly using lines for the hair.

LINE?

I woke up and loved it! Opening my computer & continuing to open new canvases. With a neat, I painted strands of hair. Not only that, I kept thinking of the manual drawing I had painted for hair. So it's not wrong to get inspiration from a dream and convey it in the form of a painting like the one above!

After that, I continue to use that method, and will always remember his dreams & advice even though we never met. I hope one day he will find me here who is always interested in his paintings.

Do you get the impression the live action is treating us like utter morons?? Like I thought that making it aimed at an older audience would open the doors for more subtle story telling, but no, they're just using monologues to tell us eveything! Like in the second episode Katara's like 'oh his power isn't that he's the avatar, it's that he ~connects~ to people'. Girl we're not idiots we can see that!! And the first episode with Aang's goddawful 'I don't want this responsibility' monologue

THIS, YES. The word that keeps coming to mind is definitely "subtlety". The show for literal children? Had it. The remake for adults? Not so much.

A cat meows at another, voice carrying through the cracked-open window and crossing the street to the other cat's ears. They are distantly companionable; they may never smell one another's scent, but they recognize each other's presence. They meow back and forth, some days, and are entertained, and that is enough.

These cats have humans to reside with. Sometimes one of the humans will go online and post bad jokes, and three houses over another human sees it on their brightly glowing phone screen and reblogs it. These humans work at different times, they spend their leisure hours apart, and they have social circles that never quite overlap enough for them to actually be introduced.

The joke is shared at a family gathering. Later, is passed along by a younger cousin, and briefly appreciated by a fraction of Ms. Vue's fifth grade class. Where it goes from there is hard to say. But it was enjoyed at the time, which was enough.

Neither the cats nor the original two humans have lost anything, in this world where each pair remains merely a part of the background in the other pair's lives. They enrich one another in the small and mundane moments that gradually accrue into a lifetime. Eventually there will be other humans in those dwellings, and other cats. The bad jokes will still be shared, but not always by the same people, and not forever.

For now, though, one cat is calling to the other, and the response comes back on the wind. I'm here I'm here A human replies to a post that crosses their dash; : I'm here I'm here.

And their lives are better for it.

And that will have to be enough. And it is.
