Urgent: Help Us Not Get Screwed

Anyone who follows us has seen us screaming from the hill-tops about our current crowdfunding campaign for Aether Beyond the Binary (17 aetherpunk stories! Outside the gender binary main characters!). We've only got 50 hours left...and we just got screwed.

Our Anthology Kickstarter is being scammed.

About two hours ago, with us still roughly $1,500 from our goal, we got a junk pledge for almost $2,000. This pushed us into being marked as "funded" but there is zero chance it's a real pledge, it's from a shell account marked as being in Turkey. This kind of money doesn't just fall like a miracle into the laps of small business like ours.

The timing on this attack is devastating. The final 48 hours of a campaign are absolutely critical, especially for one as close to meeting our goal as we are. We were very likely to hit our target, but doing so was going to require appeals to y'all that started with "hey, we're so close, please help spread the word." Further, the campaign has hundreds of followers who will get a notification at the 48 hour mark, and many who might have backed to help get us to the finish line will now think "oh, they're there, they don't need me," and not back. Meanwhile, one of two things will happen with the spam pledge: either it will get removed by Kickstarter, which could take hours or a day+, totally nuking us during this crucial window, or it won't get removed until the payment bounces post-campaign, at which point we won't actually have enough money to do fulfillment.

Either way, we are fucked.

Please, please don't let these dipshits ruin the love and passion that 30+ people have poured into this project for over a year.

Our campaign IS NOT FUNDED, and it won't be without help. I'm begging, help spread the word about how we're getting screwed, and help spread the word about Aether Beyond the Binary (visit the link for so much info!) so that we can get enough real pledges to fund this project we've poured our hearts and souls into.

IF THAT MAKES SENSE LOL. i don’t see too many fanfics with sunshine readers… or at least when i look. not sure if u have gotten many requests yet but hopefully this isn’t a bother to u!! u can add smut or smth if u want. u seem super cool and hopefully u have a fun time writing this if u do :3 have a great day or night!!

You have always been a morning person. You loved watching the sky turn different shades of yellow and orange as the sun rose, and you loved having a cup of coffee while watching it. However, your boyfriends couldn’t disagree more with you.

Here you are, laid out on the back porch, wearing one of Logan’s plaid flannels, baking in the rising sunlight as it goes over the horizon. A warm cup of coffee is settled in between your fingers, and you grip it tightly, loving the warmth it gave you on this crisp morning.

While you laid out here, Wade and Logan lay inside sound asleep in your shared king size bed. They always love to tease you about your chirpiness and happiness, especially in the morning. They couldn’t get around the fact that they both were somehow able to fall in love with a person so opposite of them, especially Logan.

It was around 10 am when you started to hear the two men stir. You were in the kitchen, humming, flipping pancakes on the stove. Logan emerged first from the bedroom, wearing a pair of sweats that hung low on his waist, a flannel hung along his shoulders, underneath was bare, and you tired not to gawk at his figure. He smirks when you see’s you. “Smells good.” He compliments, walking around to your side and placing a long kiss on your temple. You smile, practically leaning into his tender embrace.

“Good morning” You beam back at him. You loved mornings like this, calm, peaceful, anything to get away from the stress of Wade and Logan's crime fighting careers. You offer him coffee, which he leaves black, and sits down at the kitchen table. You continue to hum in content, even dancing to nothing in the kitchen, enjoying the sizzling of the pancake batter on the stove. There was just pure joy and happiness radiating off of you. Logan smiles at the sight.

“Good morning bubbles!” The sound of your other boyfriend radiates the room. Logan groans in discomfort at the loud sound, plugging his ears closed. You giggle at Wade’s nickname. Awhile ago when you three had gotten together, Wade had referred to the three of you were like the powerpuff girls. You, bubbles, because you were always bubbly. Buttercup, Logan, which is pretty self explanatory. And Wade, Blossom, because he claims that he was the captain of your little team.

“Good morning Wade.” You give him peck on the lips, and hand him his coffee, with a shit ton of creamer and four sugars, he loves things sweet. He takes a sip and nods approvingly. “Ah, sweet! Just like my girl.” He gives your behind a cheeky slap and you giggle, swatting him away playfully.

You all sit at the table, munching down on pancakes. Wade drowns his in syrup and Logan cringes at the sight. “You’re gonna get diabetes if you keep doing that.” Logan scowls.

“I already got cancer, I’ll take my chances.” Wade says back, shoving pancakes in his mouth. You grin, rolling your eyes at the pair. Logan eyes your cup of coffee. “Which number cup is that?” He teases.

“My forth.” You grin, taking a sip. Logan chuckles, shaking his head in amusement, “No wonder you’re always so energetic.”

"Nah, it's just the way our girl is." Wade says, sending a wink your way. You grin and try to hide your blush. "I have no reason to be anything else. I've got a good life, a roof over my head, and two incredibly amazing sexy men who are in love with me." You giggle with a wink, watching as both the men smile, making your heart warm.

"About that, thank you." Logan states. You crinkle your brows in confusion, not knowing what he is thanking you for. He see's your confusion, stumbling over his words, becoming flustered. "Well, uh, ya'know-"

"What peanut is trying to say is, that we are grateful for you. You're the light in our lives that we both needed." Wade states, grabbing your hand from across the table. You can't even contain the blush on your cheeks now. If anything, you should be thanking them.

"I'm the grateful one." You say. The boys smile, showering you in love and kisses. The rest of the day is spent with the three of you relaxing in your free time, cuddled up by the two men you love most, all three of your laughters echoing around the small cozy apartment.

You watch the front door anxiously, biting your fingernails. It was always nerve wracking waiting for Wade to come home from his mercenary missions. You knew he couldn't die, but you still didn't enjoy when he came home bloodied and battered, sometimes even with limbs missing. You really hoped tonight wasn't that type of night.

You hear the sound of keys jiggling in the doorknob, and you sprint to your feet, awaiting to see the damage this time. The door opens, and Wade enters in his red and black suit. It doesn't seem to be torn to shreds, so that makes you feel a little better.

"Hi baby." You greet. You see the grin he surpasses behind the mask. "Hey baby." You frown at the exhaustion in his voice. You reach up at the hem of his mask, pulling it over his head, making sure to be gentle. You smile at the sight of his face, caressing his cheeks.

"There's that handsome face." You say, intending to make him feel somewhat better, instead he chuckles back a loud laugh, "You sure we are looking at the same thing?" He teases. You laugh at his remark before shaking your head and placing a long kiss to his lips. He sighs in content, pulling you closer into him.

“How about I run you a bath?” You ask him, massaging one of the many knots in his upper shoulders. He moans in gratitude at the action, and looks at you with hooded eyes. "Only if you join me." he winks, and a blush coats your cheeks.

You practically run into the bathroom, and turn the bath on. You wait for the water to warm before clogging the drain. You grab all the bath bombs you can find and dump them into the tub, watching them disintegrate. Wade appears moments later in his stripped robe, taking it off and sighing in content as his body drifts down into the warm water.

You follow close behind on the other side, sinking down and leaning your head on the edge of the tub. “Mhm, this is even better than I could have imagined.” Wade moaned out, nestling deeper into the water. “I’m glad baby.” You smile at him, grabbing his hand that is hidden in the bubbles.

“You’re to good to me, ya’know that?” His tone is suddenly serious, not much like his normal carefree attitude. You look at him, and his face is just as serious as his voice. You smile, “You are more than good to me, Wade.”

He smiles at that, and the both of you sit in silence, bathing in the comfort of the warm water. After the water begins to turn cold, and Wades finger turn to prunes, you both decide it was time to get out.

You dry off and head to bed, slipping on your red pair of silk pajamas that Wade had picked out for you. He wears a red plaid of boxers, shuffling under the covers, smiling in content as his head nestles into the pillow. You do the same, watching as Wades eyes flutter open and closed, going in and out of sleep.

You watch in admiration, your eyes tracing along the features of his face, so calm, soft. It was rare to see him like this, so vulnerable, but you loved every second of it. You rub his cheek, tracing along his cheekbone and jaw.

“I love you.” He whispers out to you, half asleep. You grin, “I love you, Wade.” And just like that, Wades soft snoring is heard, and you fall asleep soon after, in the arms of the man you love.

So, you may have heard some rumors about our visitor from Hexenwerk, Königsratte. It is true he's in serious medical condition - our staff experienced in parafictional individuals are working around the clock to keep him stable and find treatment.

That leads me to the reason for this posting - we're looking for help. We think we can treat Königsratte, but we need nutcrackers. Yes! Those decorations you all have. If you're in the area, physical donations are great*, but we're taking photos and artwork.

The key here is a story. See, Königsratte is from a story. We think that if we can support his story with our own, your own, we can help stabilize him again. Do you have a nutcracker that's been in your family? Did you see one at the store you jived with? Designing one in your sketchbook? We want to see it! Your submission could be the key to saving our visitor.
