ushijima blinks at hearing the whole story from your friend. because you did what? you almost had someone end up at the hospital because they were talking shit about him, saying he wasn't all that, and that maybe they could sabotage him in some way?? he is dumbfounded and could only sigh (tho he did call you a dumbass in his head). your friend frowns cos no way he just sighed like this was an everyday occurence??

well, to be fair, some dunces were trying to bully tendou. it was only right that you kicked them where the sun didn't shine. some guy also yelled smth about how they wouldn't be able to have children if you put more force into that kick but you couldn't care less. tendou winced and is shaken at the whole ordeal while you happily grabbed his hand and offered to buy whatever food/snacks he wanted as an apology for having seen that.

semi was just trying to show you a new song he learned to play on his guitar in the band room. when someone started saying backhanded things to him, he looked uncomfortable and the vibe in the room wasn't good. it went on as subtle insults until the meaning behind them were clear so with a tambourine, you wacked the side of their face, ending with a clinking sound and a thud. unfortunately you didn't kill them but you were left with a panicked semi.

since the coach was out, reon and you decided to mess around instead of kicking his ass to go back to practise. doing stuff ranging from taking weird pics or funny candids of each other to flaunting your muscles to see whose were better and decided to test each other's strength. of course you won (over the course of many rounds). nobody said a thing and really only just praised you until someone snickered at reon but like in a bad way so that's how your fist ended up in their face.

yamagata's a short king okay. of courseee he needs protecting /j. he's not that short + he doesn't necessarily but he does joke around about you being his bodyguard and stuff cos you're significantly taller than him and you're visibly toned. he vibes with basically anyone and with the addition of you, nobody tries to mess with him. you're an intimidating presence so unfortunately you don't get to throw your fists to anybody's faces with him.

shirabu has pride in you. he screams, "go get 'em!!" to you at people he does not like and is entertained at the sight of them having their ass handed back to them, he even laughs and smiles like it's a movie. this isn't limited to anyone, it's literally for everyone who pisses him off and when they show clear discontent when they're with him. of course he does remind you to calm down... sometimes.

kawanishi would look so done with you but is also flustered with you looking out him. he feels so special when you callout people on their bs or when they're clearly making him uncomfortable. but alike shirabu, he does watch the whole thing unfold with a smirk and giggles from time to time when they think they could mess with you.

the first time someone talked down on goshiki, you didn't take more than a second to return that attitude with a little (you mean a lot of) force. he was so stunned and his heart was beating so fast at how attractive you looked doing it but also because he felt panicked and started overthinking that he thought he was going to have to go to juvie for being an "accomplice". you reassured him it was nothing before dashing because teachers were rushing towards the scene, ready to reprimand you two.

Ok. Let’s talk. I was going to ignore this but you’re really persistent. This is the fifth ask you have sent me telling me the same thing but in different ways. Sad thing is that I just started this blog, I can’t believe this keeps happening to me in every fandom I go to. Some of you need to understand something about Felix.

Yes, I’m aware he did a lot of questionable things. And no, he’s not a white supremacist. He’s not racist. And he’s not homophobic or whatever Twitter/the media is saying about him these days. I might not know him personally but I’ve been watching Felix since the very beginning and even with this little info about his life I can tell the difference between some things people choose to ignore about him. He’s a very honest person and he always tells everyone the information they need to know about him, whether it is about his personal life or his pewdiepie persona. His real actual friends (Jack, Ken, Mark -also good people, and whether you like it or not, Jack is one of them) held him accountable for the things he did and also made sure to assure everyone that the ‘Pewdiepie’ personality is totally different than his real-self. They confirmed he’s not any of his mistakes. Meaning the ‘Pewdiepie’ personality got too far and the facade/entertainment mask fell off of him when he made those mistakes. This was not only a lesson for him but it showed him places that needed real improvement in his life, something we all need sometimes. We all fall short in understanding the potential harm we can do to others and we easily face the temptation to define ourselves by ignoring those crucial parts. What Felix needed to learn was self-awareness. And he’s now constantly working on it so he can objectively evaluate himself when it comes to those things. Some people face this alone and privately but, him, as an internet sensation had to do it on camera.  

Pay attention to what his actual friends say about him. Jack himself said it:

‘It is strange, all the stuff that gets said about him, it’s kind of weird to see that being said about a friend of yours. To hear his actual thoughts on it…people like to take things every which way and twist things all over the place. I don’t know how he does it, with that many people on you and that much scrutiny on you constantly. I think I would have lost my mind by now.’

I’m also aware he’s a white rich guy and that he’s a step up on the scale from me and other people but I’m sure that if I dig long enough, I’m going to find something about certain actors/actresses/musicians (that most likely you and other people love) as well. Meaning they’re human at the end of the day and they might make mistakes too. Felix is the same case here.

It was dumb to say certain things and do certain things? YES. I held him accountable when he did those things. He didn’t need to say or do the things he did. It was irresponsible, harmful and immature from his part. However, he’s willing to make a change and work on it so this is something I can appreciate. 

He did the fivver video. This is his statement:

‘I make videos for my audience. I think of the content that I create as entertainment, and not a place for any serious political commentary. I know my audience understand that and that is why they come to my channel. Though this was not my intention, I understand that these jokes were ultimately offensive. I think it’s important to say something and I want to make one thing clear: I am in no way supporting any kind of hateful attitudes.’

his response.

He said the ‘n’ word. He sincerely apologized. This is his statement:

‘I hate how I personally fed into that part of gaming. It was something that was said in the heat of the moment. I said the worst word I could possibly think of and it slipped out. I’m not going to make excuses to why I did it because there are not excuses for it. I’m dissappointed in myself because it seems like I learned nothing from controversies. And it’s not like I think I can do or say whatever I want and get away with it. I’m just an idiot but that doesn’t make what I said or how I said it okay. It was not okay. I’m really sorry If I offended, hurt or disappointed anyone with all of this. Being in the position I am, I should know better. I know I can’t keep messing up like this and I owe it to my audience and to myself to do better than this. I really want to improve and better myself, not just for me but for anyone that looks up to me or anyone that is influenced by me and that’s how I wanna move forward. Away from this.’

And this is enough for me. I’m sorry if you think Felix needs to do a blood sacrifice to prove himself but that’s just not how it works. 

We all have said or done things we are not proud of. He did many of them and trust me, he was held accountable for them. How? Here’s a list of the consequences:

He was part of the original content network YouTube Red, and was affiliated with Disney’s MakerStudios brand where he had his own network. Disney cut all ties with him.

They cancelled his YouTube Red show, where a lot of people put big effort (not only the participants but the crew members). You can see that this was important for him. It was not just some random ass show.

Was held accountable for his actions and it was made known every mistake he did. Every single one.  

Received the proper criticism from the media, his fans and his own friends.

He also received harsh backlash and hate from the situation.

Lost support from followers, celebrities, friends and companies. 

He’s constantly attacked by people and media outlets on a daily basis. Some people even fabricate false stories about him.

He faced the proper consequences for those actions. Let him move on already.

You also listed a bunch of stuff in one of your asks, things he’s NEVER done. Those are things the media has made you and everyone else believe he did but he didn’t. This is why you should never believe any random media headline, you need to actually do your own research to see if that’s true or not. Here are the things you said he did (none of these are true):

No, he doesn’t promote Adolf Hitler speeches and anti-semitic cartoons. Disney did once tho.

No, he’s not homophobic. At all. He was actually evicted from his own flat because his previous landlord is an actual homophobic person and called him and his crew the ‘f’ word. He decided to move far away from the guy. 

No, he didn’t perform the Nazi heil. Never. 

No, he didn’t pay the ‘Jesus’ guy to hold a sign that says ‘Hitler did nothing wrong’ this is a lie. Someone else did it and the media said it was him to cause more controversy. He paid him to say ‘Subscribe to Jacksepticeye’. 

No, he’s not racist. For this, his content would’ve to be filled with racial jokes and actual intentional attacks daily. His content is not like that, trust me, the most he does is play with some tambourine all the time. He’s said the ‘n’ word (something he admitted was terrible, apologized for it and took responsibility for his words), yes but someone that feels as bad and ashamed as he does, does not equal to what an actual racist is and how they act.

No, he doesn’t bully his friends or enables bullying. I don’t know where the media got that one but I can assure you they’ve got no friends if they think his interactions with his own friends are ‘bullying’. 

No, he doesn’t joke about crises happening around the world. AT ALL. He constantly raises money for them (and gives his own money as well) to different causes such as the Wildfires Emergency Appeal, Team Trees (to plant 20 million trees), St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (for kids with diseases such as cancer), Crisis Text Line, National Alliance on Mental Illness (a group that helps those suffering from mental illness), CRY (a GoFundMe campaign to help Indian children living in poverty), World Wildlife Fund (dedicated to the reduction of mankind’s environmental impact), RED (did a whole 7 hour livestream with friends to help people fighting HIV/AIDS in Africa), Charity: Water (a non-profit that provides drinking water to developing nations), Save the Children (for underprivileged kids to give them better education, healthcare, better economic opportunities), he recently raised $106,000 for the BLM movement donating the contributions to the family of George Floyd and other victims of police violence, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Hope for Holt, Malaria No More, Oceana, SpecialEffect, War Child, etc. Does this sound like someone who makes fun of real problems happening around the globe? No. And no, he hasn’t made fun of those causes either. 

No, he doesn’t make fun of mental illnesses. He talks about it with the proper respect and delicacy it deserves. He constantly adresses mental health, shares resources for viewers who may be struggling and talks about the importance of being aware and getting legitimate help. Where are you taking these facts from?

No, he doesn’t support China’s police brutality. He was BANNED from China for critizing the president and the country’s treatment of Hong Kong’s anti-government protests. How hard is it to watch the real video instead of trusting some Susan from Twitter? 

No, he has NEVER disrespected Japanese culture. Felix loves Japan and respects their culture. He always treats the people and the place with utter respect. 

He’s not a white supremacist or a secret Nazi. Are you insane? He’s said it himself ‘f*** anyone who is racist and anyone who is a white nationalist. That’s not what I’m about. And that’s not what my channel has been about either.’ Maybe if you think about it, the media painted him that way and people decided to go with it because they don’t actually watch his videos. The number of accusations and stories are insane and ridiculous. Have you ever watched one of his videos? Ever? Because if you would’ve, you would know none of these things are true. 

No, he doesn’t encourage kids/teens to see and follow Nazi ethics. He recommended a channel that does anime reviews (he didn’t know the channel had pro white-supremacy videos). You’re accusing him of that for not checking the thousand-something videos said channel has because he liked one anime review? This is reaching to a whole new degree. You could’ve randomly watched the same anime review vid, does that make you a Nazi as well? And NO, he didn’t wear an Iron Cross, he was wearing a Georgian Bolnisi cross. I don’t think you’re a real Jacksepticeye fan if you think he’s sticking up for him only because of a shout-out that happened years ago. Extend your perspective in this. He knows him in real-life. He’s his best friend. He can tell he’s not a bad person. This is not a hard thing to figure out. 

Also, you forgot to put the anon option in one of your asks, so I know who you are. Weren’t you joking about WW3, using the ‘r’ word to fight with your followers and making fun of the BLM movement a few months ago on your twitter account? It might not look like it’s possible but we’ve also made and are capable of making some of the same mistakes too. The difference is that some of you hide behind the ‘it’s just humor to cope with life’ gen z card. Joking about a serious important movement is harmful as well, hope you can learn that. 

I can’t tell you how to emotionally react to his content, however I can advise that if it bothers you that much you should remove yourself from the environment that revolves around him (if you even watch his videos which I highly doubt) if you’re not willing to give him a chance. You also need to remember that forgiveness is private and personal, just because you don't see his content and can't see that change doesn't mean it's not happening. There’s power in understanding.

jesse would be such a beautiful singer, not a doubt in my mind. his voice is velvety, a bit husky with a hard punch of power. i’ve entertained this thought on multiple occasions and will one day write smth with singing jesse.

echo though? akhdkshkakdj i never thought abt him singing before now but i can totally see it, his voice being a bit less gritty than jesse’s but with a smidge more range and a clearness that rivals the scarif oceans.

sexbomb by tom jones - his dancing here is utterly erotic and he knows how attractive it is, holy kriff. it’ll bring the entire bar staff to a standstill bc damn look at his hips go, sex god much??? most definitely grinds against the mic stand and gfgalkdfjghlkf it never fails to fluster quite a few patrons (this will soon be a full-fledged fic so keep your eyes open)

no mr. nice guy by alice cooper - he jokes sometimes that he was actually quite peaceful as a cadet before joining the five-oh-first. it isn’t a joke tho and you can blame fives and hardcase for making him go wild. but this song makes him think of when he stopped caring abt trying to impress the longnecks and he enjoys hitting the higher notes.

rock the casbah by the clash - this is where he learns to snap his hips to every “rock” with a bit extra force. the crowd has a blast clapping along, some of the more drunk people screeching “the shareef don’t like it!” at the top of their lungs. it’s upbeat 

rock this town by the stray cats - he’s having a damn good time with this song, a lot of elvis presley vibes. if he had enough hair he’d flip it. he does a bit of air guitar and will sway his mic stand around and bounce his knee to the beat.

strutter by kiss - he loves this one, it’s a personal favorite. he;ll be running his hands down his body when he’s still, but the times he’s walking around the stage he’s got a hand on his swinging hips, literally strutting. it’s so fun to watch him embrace the music

bad to the bone by george thorogood & the destroyers - a joking request from fives that turned into a crowd favorite. fives didn’t think his vod could do it but jesse rose to the occasion as he charmed his way through the song with his fun swagger and playful air sax. he drank quite a bit of water after this one bc he was unused to using as much gravel in his voice as this song took, but he enjoys it nonetheless.

echo would be softer with his choices, leaning more towards soulful and sweet in comparison to jesse’s wild side. he also plays both guitar and piano, i take no criticism on these points;

the night they drove old dixie down by the band - he plays this one after a rough mission and it’s deeply resonating with everyone there, everyone either putting down their drinks to let the song flow thru them, or grab something stronger to let it lull them into inebriation.

no plan by hozier - he sounds so beautiful with literally any hozier song tbh, but this one is his favorite. this was the closest he got to smth soulful before the times he duetted with jesse and he really enjoyed it. it was smooth yet passionate and is one he sang for the first time when dejected and unsure abt his future.

piano man by billy joel - he plays the piano for this song & kriff did it take him a while to both master it and find someone that played the harmonica well enough to join him. this is rex’s favorite song to hear echo play and will hum it quite often. echo enjoys throwing himself into playing this one in a way he doesn’t often do & he’s called “the piano arc” the first time he plays it. the nickname sticks but he likes it, so no harm done.

amie by pure prarie league - this was a fun song for echo to learn and he really enjoys how gentle it is. he’ll tap his foot with the music and just let himself go. sometimes he’ll catch himself moving his shoulders slightly as he plays but he doesn’t stop. when he plays this one, he prepares to hear his brothers hum it for at least a week afterward, it’s just that good.

house of the rising sun by the animals - this one isn’t heard until some time after he and jesse duet & echo exhibits his capacity to have a bit of gravel, which is absolutely heavenly when heard. there’s a lot of held-out notes here and a special kind of twang he’s able to finesse, it’s stunning.

skinny love by bon iver - he learned to play guitar to this song right here, it’s one of his faves and loves how tender & raw it can be. he’s heard covers of it that added too much to it & detracted from the intensity of the emotions, so he sticks with the original. it’s an extremely vulnerable song and it’s somber, but he enjoys baring himself without the risk of being shamed for it. several people cry the first time they hear him sing this song. (this one will turn into a fic as well, time tbd)

bad moon rising by creedence clearwater revival - echo sang this one for the first time tne night before the five-oh-first got their orders, which ended up being to felucia. there are always strange occurences when this song is sung & a few ppl will do anything to keep echo from singing it bc they think it’s an omen. everyone enjoys hearing the song, no doubt, but the moment it ends, some battalion or another is doomed to a bad assignment.

now if these two were to ever team up???? no one would be able to talk about anything else for weeks afterwards

you don’t mess around with jim by jim croce - they’re sitting on barstools in front of their mics, echo strumming on his guitar while jesse pats his thigh as a substitution to the drums. v playful vibes with this song and they can’t stop grinning as they sing. it’s fun and they’ll sometimes lightly tap each other with their feet throughout the performance to tease. lighthearted and always enjoyed.

all this and heaven too by florence + the machine - it’s got enough power for jesse but is also delicate enough for echo, achieving a great balance of their strengths as well as a tambourine. you’d probably think that jesse and a tambourine can cause as much trouble as hardcase with explosives, but he’s insanely focused on getting the hits right. no one expects to hear echo belt out such strong notes in contrast to his normal choices but damn they love it. and jesse?? softly breathing the verses with a delicateness no one thought he possessed?? they’re weak for them both.

soul shop by prophets and outlaws - they harmonize SO!!! DAMN!!! GOOD!!! echo playing the piano and jesse sitting on top of it just straight up VIBING. the entire bar is swaying with the music and letting themselves melt into the floor. none of them were prepared for echo to harness a little bit of gravel in his voice or for jesse to capture the melodic tone that echo doesn’t have to put effort into. this song, having a lot of soul and grit to it but is smoother than corellian whiskey, is a performance for the record books.

the Starry soundtrack is as impressionist as the painters it invokes by energy alone, which is impressive given the style of music used (of which i’m fine with, but not partial to)

the Prologue does this right off the bat

the people of Monmartre are very critical of the rest of France and I adore it

i can feel theo’s overwhelment in Impress Me

Impress Me does a wonderful job at introducing the setting of the show

that song is a ball of pulsating yearning—no wait that’s the whole show

Theo got so stressed he walked blindly into Madame Segatori’s cafe

learning that the Le Tambourin was named as such due to its tambourine aesthetic via Vincent’s portrait of Segatori is just incredible to me; the table is shaped like a tambourine

“If Paris is the world, Monmartre is Bethlehem; and art is our Amen” sounds so powerful

A New Horizon is so warm

i expect Theo and Vincent to be very cuddly with each other everytime they interact

“dream with me, dear brother” is the energy of this song

with the way Degas, Pissarro, and Morisot tease at Gauguin (noting that Gauguin, Bernard, and Toulouse-Lautrec are together in a later song), it sounds like they’re are hurling insults from a separate tambourine table

Toulouse-Lautrec sounds dramatic; Bernard sounds like he’s not sure where he is artistically—both are a mood

Of the post-impressionist table, the only one retaliating with genuine insults is Toulouse-Lautrec; Bernard and Gauguin only end up defending themselves while Toulouse was ready to tear down Degas and Morisot

Pissarro IS old (at this period in time in the musical) damn

Toulouse and Bernard calling Gauguin out on his known shitty behaviors feels like they’ll be problems Vincent will have to deal with in Act 2, when they live together

Theo and Jo’s relationship progressing as Vincent’s works don’t sell hits upon realization

“Fascinating, but maybe just a little too soon,” sounds like that at this point, Toulouse-Lautrec and Bernard genuinely recognize and admire Vincent’s talents, but also understand that the world is still against him and that they have the experience to prove it

the “sunlight and storms” imagery always concern Theo, Jo, and Vincent’s relationship with each other

Gauguin popping up in this song with the compass imagery implies the show’s going to make him a pretty interesting foil to Vincent; this sounds like him traveling back to Paris, or at least him attempting to vibe in Martinique

and its the same especially when it came to his daughter

ofc she goes to zhangwei’s concerts to support him

but her true reason to go is to see the drummer lol

when he does get tired, he loves to draw

mochou is naturally talented at drawing

in all forms that require creativity, mochou is naturally talented in all of it 

he was naturally really good at singing

he was naturally really good at learning instruments

he was naturally really good at painting, sketching, drawing, doodling

he was naturally really good at writing

mochou has a lot in his brain and the best way he could get it out was through drawing and painting

even tho as a baby, he was kinda stoic and such, he made of for it as a child

zhangjing is the maknae of all of the kids (for now)

anD EVERYONE TREATS HER AS SUCH

like all of her siblings, she was just such a pretty baby

zhangjing was most def the most delicate out of all of her siblings

zhangjing looked like a little doll

compared to all of her siblings

she was the calmest and the most docile

zhangjing wasn’t creepy like mochou

she was just sweet and kind

everyone in the entire group is so whipped for her just bc she’s the baby

like whenever the entire group is hanging out, there is for sure someone holding her at all times

the boys just switch off who gets to hold little zhangjing

omg jisung would hold her for a sec and like want to place her on the ground

and instantly EVERYONE excluding hendery would jump and and be like “jiSUNG NOOOOOO”

poor jisung would be too shocked and just stay frozen with zhangjing in his arms

hendery would step up and be like “guys... it’s okay. zhangjing can go on the ground, she’s not made of paper.”

the boys just thought little zhangjing was too good for the ground lol

omg hendery for sure lives for the compliments whenever someone calls zhangjing pretty

like if she’s on a baby carrier and one of the boys would gush over zhangjing, he’d say the funniest things

like “oh thank you, made her myself! this beauty was made on a fun night around 9 months ago.”

you try to get him to explain and through a ton of sobs and hiccups he manages to get out something like “zhangjing started crying because she figured out lina is going to be gone visiting thailand for the next two weeks.”

you take a look at your youngest and immediately start crying too

why? you don’t really know. but seeing zhangjing’s crying face just triggered it for you

tbh, at this point, zhangjing has superpowers lol

anyway

she remained as a super curious girl

like if she’s every put into a new place, she’ll spend the first 10 minutes just observing

most kids would just run and play without thinking too much

but zhangjing would slowly and carefully take a look around, taking in all of the details of the entire place

she loves all of her siblings

they all baby her lol

zhangjing is just so observant and curious and for some reason, is really good at making people feel emotions they didn’t think they were feeling at the moment lol

like if you’ve seen my first first love story

she would play roles like oh garin (from my first first love story)

zhangjing is the sweetest honestly it’s so cute

like she plays that role really well

but zhangjing does it in a way that it doesn’t really annoy people

she keeps her energy levels

and she keeps her puppy like personality

the group still babies her a bit, but it’s not too bad anymore

she still maintains her natural cuteness lol

like she’s for sure really tiny

so it’s just natural for her to be on the cuter side

she adores her siblings so much

zhangjing would cancel her schedules just to see all of xiuying’s shows

during her breaks, she would be catching up on all of the news pertaining to mochou

zhangjing still remains curious

everytime she’s on a new set, she’ll roam around everywhere just bc

she hasn’t played a lead role yet so she doesn’t need to be dressed up and ready right away

omg tbh, sometimes they would have to edit her out of the window in a background

just bc she was wandering and she didn’t know they were filming lol

now is it her natural cuteness that is making everyone okay with it? idk.

she’s the quietest out of all of her siblings

and she has a hard time making good jokes like they do

out of all of the friendships of kids, lina and zhangjing are the most talkative

they just have so much to tell each other all of the time!

they maintained their friendship even tho they took two different career paths

zhangjing was the baby of the group for a couple years, all before the next wave came (this “wave” refers to the on the way families!)

Jiw and Sun are dating now but the remaining point of contention is how much Horny Ghost just wants them to sleep together instead of getting to know each other to which Sun thinks “Jiw do u only want me for my body 😔?”

Kaopoon is... spiritually breaking up with Jiw, so she can end the messiness of her involvement with Sun

Ehkjehrrk Jiw is back to living her own life and a spirit just tried to grab at her and she just whacked their hand off and said, "Don't bother me now!" so she could keep cooking, love that for her

Auntie Pu is kind of my favourite character on this show bc she goes from Ghost Nemesis to Ghost Mom all while having Sun's mom as her BFF and Sugar Mama

Hahahaha all the other restaurant staff (minus Win, who is chill) are sucking up to Jiw now bc she's dating Sun

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jiw felt guilty about dating Sun when half the things he loves are things that Kaopoon did and now the Horny Ghost is out of the bag

I can only assume, bc he thinks she's bipolar, he will assume this is product of a hallucination

Reservations on the commentary on bipolar disorder aside, what DO u do when the person you love tells you that they can see ghosts and key relationship moments you had together were the product of them being possessed by a ghost

Sun now believes in ghosts but he's very upset about the romantic implications of this knowledge

This is Kaopoon possessing Auntie Pu so that Kaopoon, Jiw and Sun can be a crime-fighting trio, love that for them

So Jiw has been kidnapped (GUESS WHO) and Sun is investigating every school in the area and Kaopoon has a network of ghosts looking for her while Jiw tries to find a way to communicate her location. The Crime-Fighting Trio Continues!!!

okay it’s time for some rhythm ranting (i came up with that and i am so fucking proud of myself for it)-

so rhythm heaven megamix is the fourth rhythm heaven game, preceded by three other games (as you may guess): rhythm tengoku for the gameboy advance, released in 2006 in japan only, rhythm heaven for the ds, released in 2009, and rhythm heaven fever, released for the wii in 2011/2012 and for the wii u in 2016. as megamix’s name implies (esp it’s japanese/korean name, rhythm tengoku (in japan)/rhythm world (in korea) the best+), it’s a mix of lots of rhythm games from past games. not all of them, though, because the developers wanted to spite us by not putting bon odori in. /j oh and like people like dj school and shit and it’s not in it. people modded dj school in though, no i am not kidding, people literally modded in a full game and i don’t know how. i mean donk-donk and tambourine have also been modded in somewhat for remixes but anyways back to my point-

the rest of this’ll be under the cut tho-

so one of my main problems with megamix is some of the game choices. rhythm tengoku only had 25 unique, non-sequel rhythm games. out of those, nine were excluded. that’s almost half. for perspective, though, three of those games are bon odori, rap men, and toss boys, which basically need audio cues to be played. bon odori relies on it’s song, where you clap whenever they say “pan” and clap twice quickly when they say “panpa”, rap men relies on its audio and you do something different depending on three different kinds of cues, and for toss boys you need audio cues to know who it’s being tossed to. and logically, they’d likely want to translate the games, so given that they seemingly didn’t get that big of a budget for dubbing, they weren’t included... but quiz show was. what’s the problem with quiz show, you may ask? well rhythm heaven as a game is a rhythm game. quiz show literally doesn’t require rhythm. basically the host will press the button a certain number of times and in order to pass the game you just need to press it the same amount of times. that’s literally it. in megamix you get the game’s skill star if you press it to the same rhythm, but it’s still not required. it’s also dumb because you literally have to play it perfectly in order to pass it. all you need for a perfect is to press the button(s) the same amount of times. if you press a button the wrong number of times, the game ends once the number you were supposed to hit it is revealed. quiz show is literally pointless. the only times it’s used well are in remixes in tengoku. in remix 6, at least in silver, it uses the previously played game, the clappy trio, as a hint, with the host asking, “how many members are in the clappy trio?”, before hitting the buttons three times. in remix 4, the rhythm for both the quiz segments goes with the music. i mean on the last one he can add an extra press and it’s fucking bullshit but whatever. i’m not mad. but my point is that in megamix, they added a game that doesn’t require rhythm as opposed to a multitude of actually liked games from tengoku. there’s non-included games that don’t require audio cues, i should add. showtime, polyrhythm, tram and pauline, wizard’s waltz, and for fuck’s sake, thinking about it, the games that likely weren’t added because of audio cues wouldn’t HAVE to be dubbed. just do what the tengoku fan translation did and translate the on-screen subtitles but leave the audio in japanese. please just give us bon odori stop holding them hostage-

i talk about tengoku but i’m pretty sure rhds is the game with the most non-included minigames. ds was played sideways, almost purely using the touch screen with the exception of rockers 2 in the last set of games. it had a unique control scheme, with three types of controls: tapping, where you just tap the screen with the stylus or your finger; flicking, where you flick your stylus or finger like you’re making the end of a checkmark, according to “the secret of flicking” reading material thingie you can read when you unlock the cafe; and sliding, where you just. slide your finger. megamix only has tapping, and even then that’s only when you’re using simple tap mode and i don’t want to imagine how that handles games that use the b-button. as i mentioned, tengoku had almost half of its games missing. ds has twenty-five rhythm games if you include the credits game airboarder. ten of those weren’t included. that may not seem like a lot, but ds is most peoples’ favorite rhythm heaven game, and two of the most loved games in the fandom, dj school and love lab, are from rhds, and neither was included in megamix.

fever has the least cut games over all, with only five of its original rhythm games being cut. fever had twenty-nine original rhythm games, with one more (rhythm test) also appearing in its remix 10. the ones that didn’t make it in are tambourine, donk-donk, tap troupe, shrimp shuffle, and night walk. night walk’s exclusion was probably since gba night walk made it in and they didn’t know how to name them differently, bUT YOU DID IT WITH THE KARATE MAN GAMES??? DID WE REALLY NEED ALL OF THE KARATE MAN GAMES, A PREQUEL, AND A NEW GAME? THAT’S FIVE DIFFERENT KARATE MAN GAMES IN MEGAMIX. THAT’S TOO MANY TIMES TO PLAY THE SAME GAME. granted only three of those times are required to beat the game (prequel karate man, gba karate man/karate man returns!, and karate man senior), but my point still stands, they gave us literally every karate man game but not night walk or something. it’s especially dumb to me because they gave figure fighter both a prequel and its sequel because they looove figure fighter... instead of including shrimp shuffle, which really desperately needs to be included, please let me know what a frame-perfect input looks like so i don’t keep getting barelys that look fine because like all my inputs are barelys but they still break the perfect-

,,, onto another thing before i break something or kill someone.

so the dubbing for megamix is a little odd. as i said, the game likely didn’t have that big of a budget for dubbing, especially when compared to other games in the series. the prologues for games use the same three or four generic fonts despite the japanese version using the original fonts, the returning games that have lyrical songs just use the original version of the song with the exception of fan club 2, the two lyrical remixes weren’t dubbed (komeki no story, lush remix’s song, is simply instrumental with english audio, while in the japanese version it has lyrics. i’m a lady now, honeybee remix’s song, is in english regardless of audio), and lastly,,, the dubbing for the returning tengoku games where there’s vocals.

so in space dance, the whole game uses audio cues. there’s three of them in total: “turn right”, where you press the right d-pad button on “right”. note that when they say it it does not sound like they are saying turn right. at all. i’m not sure why, it’s not just the gba’s bad sound quality because well. bon odori exists. and also because it’s the same in megamix when you use the japanese audio. my immediate thought is accents but i don’t know if japanese accents are a thing. might just be because of the fact that japanese people tend to pronounce r’s as l’s? not sure though. “let’s sit down”, where you press the down d-pad button on “down”. it also doesn’t sound like they’re saying “let’s sit down”. and lastly, “pu-pu-pu-punch”, where you press the a-button on “punch”. in order to punch. because that’s a dance move. like seriously, space dance is fun but how is this a dance? um anyways, in the english version of megamix they changed it so it’s more clear what’s being said but the dubbing’s not the best. firstly, they changed “turn right” to “and pose” even though that is definitely not posing. it’s weird since. that’s the only one that was changed. i don’t know how to describe what they did to space dance and most of y’all probably don’t play rhythm heaven so you don’t understand, so here’s a perfect gameplay of space dance with japanese audio (it took time to find), and here’s one with english audio. ,,, okay so the english one’s of cosmic dance because i. forgot what exactly i was doing. and got distracted looking through the comments. so now i know that they still reused space gramps’ voice for cosmic girl in cosmic dance. which like. wut? you redubbed it but you. you still reused. you still reused space gramps’ voice for her? megamix dubbers are you okay? i’m kind of concerned.

the other game that has audio is purely japanese audio. marcher/marching orders. it’s a keep the beat game where you play as a squadmate following the sarge’s orders. the rhythm heaven wiki’s description for it is basically what i said but they’re better at describing things then me so.

“In this game, a rookie is undergoing marching training with her squadmates while following their Sarge's orders. The player controls the rookie at the end of the line. There are four commands that the Sarge will yell.

"Attention, March!"

"Attention, Halt!"

"Left-face, Turn!"

"Right-face, Turn!"

The player must perform these with proper timing along with the other squadmates. Just before the game ends, the squadmates will be moved offscreen, still marching as the game ends.”

in the japanese version, the commands he says are obviously different, though i. do not know what he is saying. so have my attempts at romanizing it.

“gento susume!” = “attention, march!”

“gento commoback!” = “attention, halt!”

“meski meek!” = one of them? i don’t really know which and it feels inconsistent, at least in marcher 2. i think it’s right-face turn but i’m not one hundred percent sure.

“meski peek!” = the other one. so i think left-face turn.

,,, yeah i don’t know japanese, sorry if this (as in literally any of this) is offensive to anyone that does. i’m just trying my best. the wiki doesn’t say what he says in the japanese version. unlike for other games.

now in the japanese version, the sarge has a somewhat deep voice. but in the english version... he doesn’t.

um here’s a perfect in tengoku and here’s one in megamix that i think has english audio since. it says it’s the english version in the description. but i’m not listening to it.

u h my last nitpick with megamix is the prequels. so prior to lush remix, almost all the games played are prequels, easier and shorter versions of the actual games. after lush remix is completed and the towers of lush woods are unlocked (i’m just taking this from the wiki, wtf is lush woods), all the games from then on are the original versions, with “2″ or something else stuck onto them for the games that had prequels. this makes it irritating to find certain games on the wiki because it’s just like “no i don’t want normal wii micro-row i want wii micro-row 2 rhythm heaven wiki please” or whatever. also the picks for games that have prequels are all over the place, and some of the prequels’ music doesn’t seem to fit and makes it feel like all the patterns in the prequels for games like rhythm tweezers and clappy trio are the exact same. is it the exact same? because if so then that’s cool (i suck at rhythm tweezers and clappy trio-) but also very boring. i get that they wanted to start people with something easy but some of the games that have prequels were already easy. karate man (gba) is literally the first game in tengoku but it still has a prequel. rhythm tweezers is the second game but it has a prequel. clappy trio’s the fifth and it has a prequel (granted it is kind of hard). fillbots is the third in ds and it has a prequel. air rally is relatively early on in fever. you get my point. and the weird thing is that in some cases at least, games that have prequels which remove stuff from the actual games don’t have practices for things in the actual version. for example, air rally’s prequel doesn’t have forthington (the cat) changing distances, except for the last one which he apparently always catches, but wii air rally obviously does. granted, the rhythm’s the exact same when he’s far away (for some reason? i don’t think that’s how it should work-),  but it should still have practice. oh and in air rally they just completely removed the clouds that semi-block the visuals later in the game. yeah i don’t know either. that seems to be the only instance of that occurance, though.

another prequel nitpick: so i love rhythm rally. like it is the best game in ds imho. it’s fun, it’s not that hard (it is kind of hard but i still have fun), though i do play on emulator, god knows how hard it is when you’re like me and don’t know how to consistently flick dear god send help- but u m in megamix rhythm rally has a prequel. which may not seem bad or anything until you learn something. megamix rhythm rally is the shortest game in the series. showtime from tengoku is seven seconds longer while munchy monk from ds is twelve seconds longer. rhythm rally’s prequel is thirty seconds long. thirty seconds. t h i r t y s e c o n d s . d,,, don’t paddlers literally have to play ping-pong to not get like. really sick? i don’t think thirty seconds is a long enough ping-pong game to avoid that- y’all’s planet is literally named ping-pong but you only play for thirty seconds. on top of a flower. okay wtf is with the scenery on this planet, it has a resident rhythm heaven void that we should be concerned about why are there so many voids, s p a c e i t s e l f , a giant flower, and a giant cake. two concerning things and two things that are weird but not concerning. seriously though why are there so many voids in the rhythm heaven world? someone should look into this, i’m concerned.

Aether is the one who rolls up their sleeves, jumps, and is a sweetheart? Then for the other two I'm lost. Sometimes the base is referred to as Dew, but other times the lead is. the lead who I worry will get whiplash is sometimes Fire, and I'm lost on who is who. Could you clear this up for me? Also do the Ghoulettes have names?

Aether-

He plays rythm guitar.

His guitar is all black with a white border going around it.

Around halfway through the shows (rituals) he’ll roll his sleeve up to his forearms.

He has a ring on the middle fingers of both hands.

He also wears a bracelet on his right (I think it’s right) wrist.

He does like to jump a lot.

He’s slightly intimidated by fire ghoul/ dewdrop (but honestly who isn’t?)

He is a big teddy bear!! Loves giving hugs and praising the other ghouls!!

He normally stands to the left of copia.

Fire/ Dewdrop-

Plays lead guitar

His guitar is white with a sharp black design (sorry I don’t know the name fore the actual design) similar to Rains guitar.

He’s the smallest ghoul. Pretty easy to spot.

Spitfire ghoul who likes to duel with/ scare aether.

Always does his trademark stomps and headbangs.

Pretty R rated. He likes to do suggestive motions on stage.

Likes to cuddle Rain.

Normally stands to the right of copia (moves around a lot tho)

Mountain/ Earth ghoul-

Drummer

Very tall!! The tallest ghoul out of all of them.

He doesn’t really get the chance to move around a lot (bc he’s behind the drums you know)

He’s a very sweet boy. Friendly with all the ghouls.

He almost never wears shoes.

He is very sweaty.

Seriously he needs his own fan that’s how sweaty he is.

Honestly is very very under appreciated.

Is positioned more towards the top middle of the stage.

Water ghoul/ Rain-

Plays the bass.

White bass with rounded black design (similar to dews)

Nicknamed rain because he’s the water ghoul and tends to fall down a lot (like a rainfall)

He’s shy and normally stays in one spot.

He likes to cuddle aether and dew.

He and dew often get mixed up, due to Rain only being a bit taller than dew and them having similar looking guitars.

Does a cute little thing with his legs.

Positioned in front on mountain, on the stairs.

Multi/ Swiss-

Plays (multi)ple instruments.

Acoustic guitar, Tambourine, Vocals, Saxophone

He likes to dance.

Known for his shimmy’s.

He’s rather tall.

A bit muscular, too.

Likes to stick his tongue out.

Positioned to the top left of the stage.

Ghoulettes!!-

I saved the best for last.

They play the synth, tambourine, keytar, and I’m pretty sure they do vocals too.

I honestly don’t know too much about them.

They have multiple nicknames. They’re mainly called: Thicc ghoulette and Tall ghoulette, Karen and Pam, and Cirrus and Cummulus.

They mostly stay in their little “lion cages” (until it’s time for the keytar solo)

Guys, GUYS...

We can call JN_R and RWBY combined RNJRWBY. The Ranger Rubies! That’s like, either the perfect band name or some kind of awesome Power Ranger/Super Sentai team.

For the band au read below (I’ll probably add PR/SS headcanons/au below at some point)

Jaune and Weiss are the main singers, because Weiss’ secondary VA is Casey Lee Williams and we all know from Camp Camp that Miles can in fact sing. 

Jaune and Ren are dance partners. Jaune wears one of those headset mikes so he can actually sing while he dances.

The fans ship them super hard but when it was confirmed that Ren and Nora were together they just started shipping Jaune with both of them.

The fans freaked when three years into the bands fame Jaune nonchalantly admitted that the three of them were in fact dating, and that they were also dating star-athlete Pyrrha. The fanbase was excepting of this but “moral guardians tm” started calling the band a bunch of “degenerates.” This only made the band more popular.

Nora is also a good dancer but she’s stuck on drums (which she loves).

Weiss plays the keyboard and has one of those extendo mikes to sing into.

Ruby is on bass, but since the band is named after her she actually gets recognition.

Yang is technically the none-manager leader of the band, but named it after her sister. She plays lead guitar and fans are always trying to convince her to punch them because she’s a popular boxer on the side.

If Ruby or Yang hurt their hands Jaune will cover for them since he knows how to play guitar. (Whoever he’s covering for will have to dance with Ren. Yang is decent at it but Ruby is horrible. The fans don’t care because she’s adorable tho.) 

Blake is the forever tired band manager. Sometimes the band tricks her to come on stage and just have her... apathetically stand in the corner and shake a tambourine. The fans love it.  

No one knows if Blake is dating Yang, Sun, or Illia. It is a source of much speculation.

Since they all have vastly different styles The Ranger Rubies don’t have like... a definitive style whatsoever. Every album they release has different songs written by each of them and they’re all just vastly different and don’t seem like they should be on the same disc. 

Jaune, Yang, and Nora all have strong social media games and are just total meme lords.

They were SUPER upset when Vine ended. They threw a party when they found out about Vine 2 possibly being a thing.

Team SSSN is a rival band, but The Ranger Rubies jokingly picks on them for being a boy band. They’re all buds but they get really intense about their rivalry. 

Scarlet is constantly getting up to Gavin Free-esque activities in the background.

Sage like, never talks and just stares into the camera like he’s in the office.

Sun is the most enthusiastic and natural on stage.

Neptune is always super concerned with looking cool which causes him to mess up ironically.

Weiss and Jaune (especially Jaune) usually end up being the ones to get some sense through his thick skull much to SSS_’s relief.

Pyrrha, Illia, Oscar and Penny are The Ranger Rubies biggest fans.

Pyrrha is like, a famous athlete. She constantly wins mixed martial art championships.

Illia is totally their pot dealer and everyone (even the members who don’t smoke) knows this, except for Ruby. 

Oscar is just a smol boy that the band finds adorable.

Penny was a the first in what was suppose to be a long line in robotic home assistants with built in AI, but when it became clear that she’d become fully sapient her creator/dad shut the project down. 

The Ranger Rubies are some of the only people who her secret.

Penny is super attached to Ruby and hardly leaves her side if it can be helped.

Jaune acts like an encouraging big brother to her like he does in RWBY CHIBI.

In this universe Team CFVY are fashion designers who are trying to make The Ranger Rubies look like they have a mildly cohesive theme, but they all have so many different fashion senses that it drives our poor fashion designers slowly insane.

Parents/family:

 Tai is the ultimate embarrassing dad. Fans have caught him on camera fussing over the band and have turned him into a meme. He likes to intentionally embarrass Ruby and Yang by invoking the “hello fellow kids” meme. 

The Belladonna’s are mad supportive.

The Schnee’s are the exact opposite.

Except Winter, who is one of two bodyguards. 

Uncle Qrow is the other one and they bicker all the time. 

Klein keeps everyone fed.

Although Tai couldn’t adopt them (for various reasons) he more or less just started letting Ren and Nora live them.

Jaune’s parents are like, super unsupportive and constantly go on about how there’s no real future in music even though The Ranger Rubies are like, mad popular.

His sisters on the other hand have made a fortune in creating and selling merchandise. 

They’re not body guards but sometimes Winter and Qrow use the sheer number of the Arc sisters for intimidation tactics.

This is one of the most interesting things I did. I was asked about this on tumblr by a friend. And the basis for these are the facts I've read about them. I just compared the facts and sort them out. Kishou and Shouta have the same birthdays so what other things do they have in common?? Is the question thrown at me. Day 9 - Commonalities Of course they have the same birthday so their starsigns are the same also. Both being Leo. So let's leave that. XD 1. Both of them are casted in UtaPri and their characters have a Kouhai and senpai relationship just like them but in reverse. XD 2. Well in my opinion when it comes to singing both Kishou and Shouta have a high quality voice. They can reach high notes and you'll be left gaping at them ❤😍 3. As seiyuu aside from UtaPri both of them are also in the game Band Yarouze! (Tho in different bands) and also Kishou had been in AD-LIVE and now Shoutan is casted in AD-LIVE (i hope someday both of them will be in AD-LIVE together) 4. Kiiyan likes tennis a lot (not sure if he ever played it) and Shouta does too (and he plays the sport) 5. Kiiyan is known for not wearing underwear even onstage (tho I heard he's taming that part of him XD ) and Shoutan said in an interview that he don't wear one when singing a hard song ;) 6. Kishou and Shoutan are both close with Joy Max. 7. Kishou is a fan of Kadokawa Horror books and Shoutan likes reading horror and such stuffs they even watched it (dude these two! I wont be surprised if they love halloween.) 8. Oh! I just discovered that both them have the same blood type which is B. 9. They both have their own radio shows. Kisho's Mr. Tambourine and Shoutan's Hungry Night. 10. They both performed in Animelo Summer Live. (But in different days 😞) 11. Kishou's first audience are his friend when he sung in karaoke when he was in high school. Shoutan's friend also discovered his good voice when Shoutan joined his friend in karaoke tho that was in middle school. 12. They both have beautiful feet XD and fingers (especially when they put nail polish ❤😍) Just like I've said earlier these commonalities are based on the facts I've read about them. I just compared it and tried looking into things they have in common. There might be more! Personality wise or other stuffs. BUT I also found contradicting stuffs about them. Complete opposites of each other :D Like: 1. Kishou had 100% chance of seducing a woman. He's good with conversions with them. OPPOSITE of Shoutan who is nervous when he talks with girls even his fans. 2. Shoutan LOVES dancing and choreography and Kishou does not want to dance at all!! 😂 (utapri stages are proof of that lol tho did he dance in 6th stage?) 3. Kishou likes beer and Shoutan would prefer cocktail (it suits their personality you know) 4.
