pentagon reaction: sending them nudes
Tumblr media
request: [...] I was inspired by svt anon tho how would ptg respond to receiving nudes 🤨
Tumblr media
hoetaek: how he reacts very much depends on where he is and how busy he is. if he’s at home, he’s all smiles, sliding even further down the couch he’s sitting on and texting you back eagerly. he’ll keep things pretty tame unless you’re clearly looking for more from him, and then he’s happy to indulge you. he’ll sext you until he gets himself worked up too, but he’d rather tell you about how you affect him instead of showing you, so don’t expect return nudes. he’s a sexy texter though, so you’ll be squirming in your bed or in your seat or wherever you are in no time. if he finds himself unbearably aroused, he’ll suddenly call you and ask you where you are and if he can come get you. if he’s at work, he’s frustrated. not at you, but at all of the things requiring his attention when he’d much rather give it to you. he does his best to not leave you hanging, texting as often as he can, and silently makes the decision to wrap up everything as soon as possible so he can make it up to you.
jinho: in shock. are you crazy? his cheeks burn, he’s so flustered. probably way too worried about anyone else ever getting their hands on your pictures, but he also can’t stop sneaking peeks at them. he’s not too sure how to proceed, so he defaults to the obvious: complimenting you and asking what are these for? he really needs you to tell him what you’re expecting to happen from this point because there’s no way in hell he’s just going to assume and risk embarrassing himself. plus… he just likes hearing you tell him what you want clearly. if he’s at work or busy, he’ll keep it pretty brief text-wise and just tell you that he’ll be over as soon as he can. he’s not really the type to send pictures back or call you. he prefers to do most sexual communication in person. he knows you know that about him, too, and that you sending him these pictures in the first place was just you letting him know what to be prepared for. he appreciates that.
hongseok: he is already planning to carve out some time for you–no matter what his plans are–before he even has time to respond. he gushes about how beautiful you are and how lucky he is to have you for a few messages before he remembers that other modes of communication are available to him. if he needs to excuse himself from something, he will, but he’s going to call you. he’ll continue to sing your praises, unable to wipe the smile off his face as he can hear you reveling in them. he asks you what you want from him with full intention to deliver whatever it is. he isn’t one for sending nudes himself (he prefers slutty gym shots), but he won’t say no to you if you want one. if he can, though, he’ll come to you and let you have him nude in person. it’s a bit hard for him to go back and forth when he’s away from you because he just wants to touch you so fucking bad. even so, he’s a good sport for as long as he has to be.
shinwon: if you send him nudes while he’s working, he’s like have you lost your mind? he’ll scold you for it a little, but mostly because he’s trying to ignore the effect it has on him. he does not ever send serious nudes. he will send you “nudes” in meme form and that’s it, and he doesn’t do it in this context. he’ll whine so much because now he feels like he’s lowkey hiding a secret from everyone else while also being a little aroused. he doesn’t get fully aroused because the circumstances make him nervous–that is, unless you keep riling him up. as much as he’d like to be strong enough to just ignore his phone so you can’t make it worse for him, he will keep checking it. and he’ll keep playing cold all while feeling completely the opposite inside his body. he really makes it more confusing for himself. even when he’s alone, he likes to play hard to get. the only difference is that when he’s alone, he can just let whatever feelings come… come. either way, he will be seeing you the second he’s able. he tells himself it’s to lecture you, but it quickly becomes about relieving the overwhelming tension he’s been storing. and satisfying you, of course, considering your desires are what started all this in the first place.
changgu: two can play this game. he is cheesing to himself so hard when he immediately presses the button to video call you. he knows he’s risking it by not letting you know first whether or not he’s alone, but he likes to put you on edge a little bit. if he’s alone, he’s asking you if there’s anything you’d like to see too, all too happy to show you any and every part of himself. if he’s at the gym, he’ll watch as you get embarrassed when you realize he’s calling you about your nudes in a place full of other people. he won’t bring them up though. he’ll just be like what are you doing, baby? as if he doesn’t already know. i’m just at the gym right now, look. and he flips to the back camera so you can see his perfectly sculpted form in very little clothing through the gym mirror. he’s sweaty and his muscles and his veins are screaming at you. he knows it all gets to you so much. he won’t be finished with you through a call, though. he’ll always end just before it reaches a point of no return so he can physically come to you instead. he wants you close, always.
yanan: he is so in love. he’ll just stare, not even conscious of how much time is passing, unaware of the way his tongue traces his lips. it feels like such a bold move from you, and he loves it. he has a hard time communicating exactly what he feels, because he’s a little embarrassed. he can be fully aroused, straining against his clothing, and he’ll still text back with short messages because what does he say? just praising you feels so boring and obvious but he doesn’t know what else to do either. he is too shy for this! but he doesn’t want it to stop! you’ll need to guide him sweetly. he will listen. despite his shyness, he will send you a nude if you ask for one. it’s probably just a dick pic tbh, but it’s not an ugly one at least. he would never do it on his own, but if you want it, it’s done. he’ll just send it with the rosiest cheeks. if he’s busy when you send them, he’s going to need to take a quick restroom break. he won’t have the time nor the courage to try and get off with you, but he will get himself off to you so he can get through the rest of his day. he won’t be able to concentrate otherwise. on these occasions, he’ll just default to the typical responses like you’re killing me and he won’t say much else until he gets to be with you later, because simply opening your messages is a risk at this point. he can’t get aroused again.
yuto: you’re the most beautiful thing in the universe to him. his heart feels so full when you share yourself with him, whether it’s via nudes or anything else. he takes the time to really appreciate them before responding. you are perfect, i love you so much. it doesn’t really make him horny. he gets too many warm, fuzzy feelings at first. you’ll have to push the conversation out of a strictly lovey dovey zone if you want him to go there. only then will he realize the urgent sexual undertones of the conversation and only then will he suddenly become aware of the other people around him (if there are any). he’ll find some time to call you, asking you so sweetly in his low voice how to take care of you given his circumstances. it’s really important to him. he is never worried about himself, only focused on making sure you’re given exactly what you need. he will also save your photos and crop a random part of the background so he can post it on his instagram as a memory. no one knows what they’re seeing, but he does.
hyunggu: little shit. takes a selfie smiling with the tip of his finger between his teeth like a minx and sends it back to you. once he sees you’ve read it, he video calls you immediately. if he was with other people, he’s long gone now. he teasingly asks you about what you’re doing and why you’re sending him such things, only to mock pout his lips at you when you’re telling him how badly you want him. he thinks it’s so so so fun to play with you a little because you’ll get so needy and he loves knowing he has that kind of power over you. he always takes care of you, though. he’ll put headphones in and sink down into a chair somewhere so he can talk you through playing with yourself if you’re up for it. if you’re not, he’ll manage to dip early from whatever he’s doing to come to you. in the meantime, he keeps the tension high, texting you back every single second that you’d think he wasn’t busy. he doesn’t send nudes, but he will send you the most drool-inducing lewds you’ve ever seen.
wooseok: wooseok.exe has stopped working. literally chokes on his water if he’s drinking some when he opens your text. he’s actually frozen for a couple minutes because he doesn’t know what to do. he’ll call you briefly because he needs to know what’s up and texting might take a little too long for him when he’s on edge like this. once you tell him why you sent the pictures, he’s soooo flustered, but also quite excited. it feels really good to know that he can make you want him so much at all, much less when he’s not even with you, not even touching you. he’ll hang up once he knows what’s going on and go back to texting you. he’ll do his best to keep you entertained, figuring it out along the way. he isn’t too forward with his words because he still feels a bit shy, but he’ll surprise you by suddenly sending you a picture of his big, pretty hand resting in his lap, rings sparkling. he knows how much you love his hands.

is Jewish Voice for Peace actually Jewish? I've heard a couple different things about that but no sources
@gryphistheantlerqueen also asked:
Tumblr media
Whooo boy. So this has been sitting in the inbox for a few months, I wrote up a draft, and then it just sat... until this past week, when some new JVP BS hit the fan and gave me the kick to finish it.
Sooooo...
Verdict: Not Actually Jewish
(updated verdict after finding out about the “self-managed conversion” and “teacup mikvah”) Jewish, technically, and that "technically" is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and is actively debatable without access to a detailed breakdown of JVP’s actual membership rolls.
In general summation, JVP is a far-left radical antizionist group that is headed by a few visibly antizionist Jews and whose membership rolls are either a strong minority or outright majority of non-Jews, based on variable statistics that they've released. Although they claim that the “majority of their members and staff are Jewish”, this seems to be both statistically unlikely and actively suspicious due to their noted tendency to instruct even non-Jewish members to speak #AsAJew on social media, and their instructions to do “self-managed conversions”.  However, due to their title, they are very popular with people who want a Jewish Stamp Of Approval for demonizing Israelis and Zionist Jews as a result. In effect, they are Jewish in the same way that people like Candace Owens and Hershel Walker are Black—as self-tokenizing minorities who throw the rest of their ethnic group under the bus in exchange for power and political access.
And despite the claims that they are “inspired by Jewish values and traditions” (as put on their website) and “oppose anti-Jewish hatred,” JVP routinely engages in antisemitic rhetoric, up to and including blood libel and antisemitic conspiracy theories, and acts as a shield against non-Jews who also engage in antisemitic rhetoric so long as the non-Jews in question remember to shout "For Palestine!" first. This is not an exaggeration.
The primary example of their in-house antisemitic rhetoric is their "Deadly Exchange" program, where they explicitly and conspiratorially blame Israel as being responsible for American police brutality and militarization. However, for all of their fearmongering and blame-casting on the subject—as if American cops needed outside help in brutalizing minorities or gaining military-grade handmedowns from the Pentagon, both of which are explicit claims of the "Deadly Exchange" program—they have a hard time actually identifying specific deaths associated with the international training seminars they're holding up as responsible.
One of the the closest they've come to a specific allegation is claiming that "former St. Louis County police chief Timothy Fitch trained with the Israeli military three years before Michael Brown’s killing and the Ferguson uprising." (Note: this was in a video that appears to have since been made private.) But Darren Wilson worked for the Ferguson PD, not the St. Louis PD, and Fitch retired months before the killing. So he was in a completely different police department, and this is the closest JVP comes to pointing to specific deaths or acts of brutality that they blame on Israel. Everything else is literal fearmongering--up to and including the classic conspiratorial tropes of "secretive Jewish governmental influence".
JVP has also happily supported the words of white supremacists like Richard Spencer, taking his “You could say that I’m a white Zionist in the sense that I care about my people," statement at face value, using it as the basis for entire articles where they compared Zionism to White Supremacy as a deliberate misrepresentation of the ideology that is common on the extreme political Left (you can compare that treatment again with how Candace Owens treats the word "Woke" on the Right). Even when the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" march happened, JVP wasted no time in comparing Zionism with the very ideology fueling the people chanting "Jews Will Not Replace Us," saying that Zionism is "Jewish racial supremacy" and calling for a universal condemnation of the ideology as a form of White Supremacy... which was the exact sort of message that many of those same White Supremacists would have happily agreed with.  So JVP is essentially siding with literal White Supremacists,  even as they claim that "Jews are not the primary victims of White Supremacy."
JVP also engages in Holocaust revisionism, such as with this lovely quote from Cecilie Surasky, the deputy director of JVP, “I believe it is critical to situate the genocide of Jews in a broader context, and not as an exceptional, metaphysically unique event. Some 6 million Jews died, but another 5 million people were also targeted for annihilation.”
Tumblr media
(another quote, from an article by Surasky, which compares Netanyahu to Hitler.)
This is just straight revisionism of the entire Holocaust and the unique fixation the Nazis had on the Jews. Literally, even when they were losing, they were diverting resources from the war just to kill more Jews. Quote Hitler himself, "Jews must be prevented from intruding themselves among all the other nations as elements of internal disruption, under the mask of honest world-citizens, and thus gaining power over these nations." The very basis of the Nazi ideology paints Jews as an existential threat to the human race's peace and security—a far cry from JVP's claim that the Jewish suffering in the Holocaust wasn't unique or exceptional.
Additionally, JVP ignores or re-envisions Mizrachi Jewish history. They call the very term Mizrachi “Zionist rhetoric,” and refer to Mizrachi “immigrants,” (“Deadly Exchange,” pg. 16-17), and claim “the Israeli government facilitated a mass immigration of Mizrahim” (“Our Approach to Zionism”) as though those weren’t the direct result of the mass expulsion of and violence against Jews in MENA countries. These weren’t immigrants, these were refugees.
And as for the question of “Are they Jewish?”, well...
Statistically, they are not representative of the Jewish population as a whole, 90% of whom identify as some degree of Zionist in the sense of “Supporting Jewish self-determination.”  One does not need to be Jewish to join JVP, as they proudly state on their website. Their membership rolls are also extremely obfuscated, and the fact that they encourage their followers, whether Jewish or not, to post and speak “as Jews” on social media makes it even more difficult to figure out what percentage of their membership is actually Jewish.  Furthermore, they have instructions for their members to engage in “self-conversions” that are not acceptable to Jewish law or tradition, and misuse/appropriate other sacred Jewish traditions to the point that “blasphemy” is an accurate description, with their instructions on the mikvah (a sacred bath) being outright offensive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(note that one has to be completely nude and bare of any adornment or makeup to use the mikvah, which is a pure pool of collected rainwater to be immersed in, for context on the above... misuse.  Trying to claim this as being “in line with sacred Jewish tradition” is like trying to claim to be Catholic while also saying that the Pope is the Antichrist and that using beer and a doughnut for the Eucharist is acceptable. For more information on mikveh, see: The Jewish Virtual Library, Aish, myjewishlearning, or Chabad.
There's also no altar.
The irony of asking people not to appropriate while doing this is astonishing.)
It’s also telling that they straight up say they are “claiming” the practice as their own.
Tumblr media
Furthermore, JVP has hosted panels on “antisemitism” in the past... headed by people who are not only not Jewish, but who have been credibly accused of antisemitism in the past.
JVP has also endorsed The Mapping Project Boston, which was a Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) subsidiary, listing every “Zionist” organization in Boston, Mass. This included Jewish schools, elder homes, community centers, disability centers, and more; all of them painted with scary and misleading “links” to non-Jewish organizations to insinuate Jewish control of the state and city governments, invoking age-old antisemitic tropes of a conspiracy of Jews as they did so:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(first image is the Mapping Project, the second is a 1938 Nazi political cartoon)
The Mapping Project also, and this is my personal favorite, accused Harvard University of doing “racist science” for engaging in archeological and genetic studies of Jews and Jewish history.  Tellingly, BDS actually disavowed The Mapping Project (albeit for bad optics, not for the rank antisemitism they were promoting)... but JVP has not, even though the Mapping Project’s entry for the ADL reads as follows:
Masquerading as a “civil rights” group, the ADL is a counterinsurgency and espionage organization whose mission is to protect the mutual interests of the US and Israeli governments, and to eliminate solidarity among oppressed peoples, especially concerning Palestine. The ADL spies on and criminalizes activists (using its connections to governments, police, schools, and corporations) while undermining their work by pushing its own state-sanctioned, pro-“Israel” agenda. And while the ADL claims to represent Jews and to fight “antisemitism” on their behalf, the organization has supported anti-Jewish state violence and sanitized Nazis. The ADL cannot be reformed: it must be dismantled and whatever resources it has should go towards repairing the many harms it has done. (Emphasis added.)
Of course, JVP has also engaged in similar conspiracy-toned antisemitic dogwhistles, such as this fun bit from their first Deadly Exchange video:
Tumblr media
So clearly (to me at least), they have no problems with The Mapping Project’s tone and presentation.
And this isn’t even going into JVP’s routine promotion of blood libel, their egregious double standards, their approving of pogroms, their active support for Hamas terrorists and demonization of Hamas’ victims, their attempted revisionism of Jewish history, their abject rejection of Jewish culture, and their other actions that show not just bias, but outright hatred for 90% of the world’s Jews.
As one commentator put it, JVP as an organization is very much like Autism Speaks is to Autistic people--a thinly disguised hate group that views the people they’re supposedly speaking for as the problem, and themselves as promoting the Solution.  To this moderator, they’re the equivalent of the Association of German National Jews, who were also known as the Jews for Hitler; they wanted to abandon Judaism and embrace Naziism... and they got sent to the gas chambers anyway.

Tony’s behavior: Teenager/Young Adult (17-18 years old)
In the First part (Kid) and the Second part (16 years old), we learned that at least for his first 16 years, Tony did not have an Alter Ego. He was brave and smart, as we all know him, but also surprisingly calm and quiet. Despite the popular opinion about him, he was not a spoiled bragging brat. He was the opposite.
However, in this part we will see some changes. What caused these changes will be discussed later in another series of posts.
What sources we have on 17-18 year old Tony? Just a few: What If? S2, E2 and an MIT Alumni article.
Let's start with the article:
“I saw him a few times at the chess boards near Au Bon Pain in Harvard Square. There was this guy down there, a chess master, and you could give him five or ten bucks and he'd play you a game. A couple of times I remember [Tony] breezing in and throwing money on the table, and kind of wiping the floor with the guy.”
What can we get from this?
Tony is exceptional at chess. Well, no surprise. He is in every universe.
Despite his repeated victories against the chess master, he never participated in professional chess championships. As we know from the previous part, he was interested in robotics competitions, but it seems like he did everything else just for fun, not for recognition or a list of his achievements.
He never mentioned being good at chess or actually playing it in the MCU. I guess he was waiting for the right partner (Reed Richards).
He was the smartest, most skilled and capable guy on campus, but again, we can see how little we hear about him from that time.
“No one really knew him, he was just a rich kid. Everyone wanted him around, though, because he'd always bring something fun for the party.”
By this time he was already partying. Too bad we don't know what that "something fun" was.
"No one knew him". Still. He didn't really interact with other students and didn't have any relationships with them. He met Rhodey at that time though.
Despite that, they all wanted something from him. In this case - being around and bringing them fun. Nothing has changed decades later, has it?
“I remember him at after-parties on Thayer Street. He was up later than anyone else. But you could always get a ride home with him, because he always had a car.”
Wait. Did they just say he gave drunk students rides home from parties? He was SOBER?! What the heck was he doing there then?!
And did they just say that he helped everyone, even if they were all strangers to him? And like, always?!
"He was up later than anyone else". Tony is definitely not a morning person. We all knew that, this is just for official confirmation.
Next we have Henry Jenkins, the former co-director of MIT's Comparative Media Studies:
“Some students are larger than life—they leave a trace across the entire campus, and people talk about them well after they have left the building, so to speak. Stark was one of those people.”
“And don't get me started about the hacks that have been ascribed to Stark through the years. I have heard all kinds of claims about what Stark put on the Great Dome to the ways he rewired the elevators in the Green Building. They can't all be true, can they?”
That means:
This is the first time we hear about Tony's sense of humor. We know from AoU that he was already a great hacker. Maybe the best. But it seems he did it for fun, like chess. "Cracked the Pentagon firewall in high school on a dare", "put something on the Great Dome", "rewired the elevators". Did he do it to "bring fun to the parties"?
He was popular on campus. People were probably interested in a relationship or "friendship" with him. But we've already heard that "No one really knew him". If others tried to get closer to him, and still got this result, then it was he who tried not to get closer to them. Still, he was at the parties, providing them with entertainment and helping them get home afterwards. Strange.
What If? S2, E2 - 03:43
Tumblr media
Tony is 18 years old, and this is the first (actual) time we see him (or, in fact, Howard) having father-son relationship issues.
We don't know why he was "a pain in the ass" to him. Maybe because of hacking, maybe because of pranks. Or parties where he didn't drink? Maybe because he wasn't a blond super soldier with a shield? Or because he was a kid? I don't know.
Tumblr media
But Peggy seemed to see deeper and respect him, unlike his father. And she didn't really like Howard's attitude towards his son, judging by her expression in that scene.
Here she also confirms what was already said about him in the 1986 article (see previous part) - "has spunk", "has single-minded determination". Courage and determination were not part of his "character development." As I already said months ago, Iron Man was not born in the cave - Tony has always been like that.
Here we see 18-year-old Tony starts to put on a mask: the quiet nerd who is always ready to help anyone begins to pretend to be someone else.

So instead of actual field training or equipment maintenance, remember they claim they don't need to spend much money or time on that either. They want MORE money to spend on DEI. DEI will not win any wars, nor will it help defeat the nation's enemies, nor will it allow our military to maintain any kind of lethal edge in combat skills. This insanity takes away from real hands-on training, which every service member must do daily to maintain that edge. Why Congress has allowed this POS SecDef to remain when he clearly has not one bit of willingness to do his job of preparing the nation's military for combat is something that needs to be answered for,

Cecil Headcanons #2
Once again, assorted with no order or theme. Under the cut.
- Thinks Mark’s persistence in standing up for what he believes in is admirable, even if he thinks what Mark believes in isn’t necessarily correct. Same with Eve, probably.
- Has beaten Super Mario on the NES without warp pipes. Not in recent years though, during the 80s when he was a field agent with barely any responsibilities.
- He’s developed an allergy to cats. It isn’t a huge deal, because he prefers dogs, but it is still a disappointment to him. He wasn’t aware of this for a very long time. Pets them anyway.
- Used to enjoy skiing a lot. Still does, but rarely if ever has the time to (he can occasionally make an excuse since it doubles as a workout). He continues the Floridian tradition of invading the rockies to complain about the cold and go skiing.
- Has nerve damage from his incident and occasionally is non-perceptive or hypersensitive to pain and temperatures, depending on the day. Tries to avoid places with extreme weather temperatures in general.
- Turns red in the cold, and burns red in the sun. Notably, to both. Can’t tan at all. Blond moment. His fake skin was built using his DNA so it still has this trait as well.
- He got the scar in the later half of his field career. I thought about this one a lot since I used to think he got it earlier, but hear me out. The field injury would put him in bad condition to continue being a field agent for four major reasons. One being inconsistent pain and temperature tolerance. Though on days where he is more tolerant and less perceptive to it he can take more hits, he often doesn’t realize he’s hurt which can lead to liability. The second reason being that having a scar in such a prominent location on the face makes him extremely identifiable unless he is covering his face. As a stealth/infiltration specialist, this isn’t a great thing. He did continue to work as a field agent for several years after but eventually he had to call it. Number three is the fact that he needs daily skin treatment for it, meaning he needs to have access to it at most every 24 hours (he can technically go longer but at a risk). This limits the length of time he can operate. The fourth reason is PTSD which gets its own bullet point.
- His PTSD mostly triggers in situations where he has to be somewhere without clean air. Humid rooms, saunas, low visibility areas, smokey areas, fog, etc. Certain strong smells also can trigger it, usually that of chemicals or other similar scents. He has worked hard to overcome this (using self-performed exposure therapy) because it limits his operational ability but occasionally it can come back in full force. Usually just results in him activating flight or fight. Dude powers through it because he thinks he has no other options.
- Eventually takes Prozac for PTSD and anxiety, which is a whole ordeal for multiple reasons. The first reason is that there are a lot of bad people that would think he is better off dead. So he has to make sure nobody in the pharmacy is actively trying to tamper with the dosage. The other reason is basically Tony Soprano’s dilemma: he’s in a position of power, and if people were to know he took it, it would make him look weak. Weakness is something that Cecil believes that he can’t afford.
- He wasn’t unrewarded for his work, though. After being a field agent, he became a mission control operative and was apart of support teams for his field successors. He rose very high in stature over time and eventually became about as prominent as Donald currently is to the GDA.
- It was in this role in which the Pentagon came under fire and he was assisted by the terrorists that just about killed him. Hence why he is in a suit and tie during that event and not fatigues or armor.
- He’s an optimist—hear me out. He’s very confident and puts his entire faith in those he employs. In a world as volatile as his, being a pessimist would absolutely destroy any hope for the planet, considering the amount of incidents that happen on a weekly, if not daily, basis. He prepares for the worst, but hopes for the best. He thinks that in the end, everything will be okay—and if it isn’t, it won’t matter. But that won’t happen.
- Takes adderall. He actually has a prescription for it too. Not for ADHD or anything, but because of his unusual work schedule of 23/7 demanding some help keeping focused. Man, this ain’t healthy.
- When he first joined the GDA, he burned off his fingerprints DIY with hydrochloric acid. Later, after he had his skin reconstructed due to the incident, he had them not reconstruct his prints. Most biometric systems that he makes use of work based on other features that are harder to replicate.
- Can hold his breath for 5 minutes.
Bonus: Some very sloppy edits. Proof of concept for young Cecil in the show.

Post-Fall Falls False Starts- Chapter 12: [SHORT] The Polygons
Previous Chapter | Next Chapter
"For the l-last time, man, you'll l-lose," said the little rectangle, standing at the edge of the ring, knees buckled, voice quaking. "Do you see h-how big t-th-that guy is? He'll have you for lunch, Ed!"
"⬟●●⬧㉤...❖!" responded Ed, which meant, 'I shall live by my code of honor or die in a blaze of glory while attempting to defend it, you cowardly quadrilateral!' The towering theropod at the other end of the ring, whose head almost touched the ceiling, blinked one massive eye and made half the crowd cower.
"I don't wanna lose you."
"▲◐▣◐." That meant, 'then join me and we shall live or die by one another's sides.'
The rectangle sniffed back a tear and then darted off into the crowd to stand alongside a waiting pentagon, one who shared, to its relief, in the gloomy atmosphere.
"Tell me how to convince him," said the rectangle.
"I remember when honor used to mean something to you."
"Don't give me that!"
As the commentator returned from his break, the rectangle reassured itself that there would be plenty of shapes left even without Ed.

The salesguy 250 or so years back had claimed it was 'fermented suffering'. The method of extracting and liquefying suffering was beyond Bill, and he secretly suspected that description was phony- suffering would have more of a crystal-ish texture if made solid- but, either way, he didn't want to hinder his enjoyment by finding out what the stuff really was, especially with the chance that it was really something much less appetizing. He only ever busted the bottle out on special occasions seeing as the salesguy had fallen into a dimensional acid cloud and disintegrated shortly after handing it over.
Just as he poured out a shot, the door above him, which he had forgotten was there due to lack of use, swung open, and his hand tremored just enough to send the liquid pouring out of the bottle and up (screwed-up Escherian gravity had its downsides) directly into the center of his eye.
"▛◢◐▞▟☠☠☠!!! "
Pyronica (though he couldn't see her with his current predicament) poked her head out of the door. Her facial expression was 10% 'sorry' and 90% 'that was hilarious'.
"What's that mean?" she asked.
"Ha," he said in the furthest tone from an actual laugh. "Uh, don't you worry about it."

Pelosi and Mayor Muriel Bowser turned down thousands of National Guard troops at the Capitol on January 6 for political reasons.
Chris Wray’s FBI also refused to notify the Trump administration and his cabinet secretaries that they believed there could be violence like the mass protests at the Capitol that took place that day.
Nancy Pelosi also refused the National Guard at the US Capitol due to politics.
Capitol Police Chief Steve Sund said he asked House and Senate security officials for permission to request that the D.C. National Guard be placed on standby in case he needed quick backup. But they both turned him down.

J.4.7 What about the communications revolution?
Another important factor working in favour of anarchists is the existence of a sophisticated global communications network and a high degree of education and literacy among the populations of the core industrialised nations. Together these two developments make possible nearly instantaneous sharing and public dissemination of information by members of various progressive and radical movements all over the globe — a phenomenon that tends to reduce the effectiveness of repression by central authorities. The electronic-media and personal-computer revolutions also make it more difficult for elitist groups to maintain their previous monopolies of knowledge. Copy-left software and text, user-generated and shared content, file-sharing, all show that information, and its users, reaches its full potential when it is free. In short, the advent of the Information Age is potentially extremely subversive.
The very existence of the Internet provides anarchists with a powerful argument that decentralised structures can function effectively in a highly complex world. For the net has no centralised headquarters and is not subject to regulation by any centralised regulatory agency, yet it still manages to function effectively. Moreover, the net is also an effective way of anarchists and other radicals to communicate their ideas to others, share knowledge, work on common projects and co-ordinate activities and social struggle. By using the Internet, radicals can make their ideas accessible to people who otherwise would not come across anarchist ideas. In addition, and far more important than anarchists putting their ideas across, the fact is that the net allows everyone with access to express themselves freely, to communicate with others and get access (by visiting webpages and joining mailing lists and newsgroups) and give access (by creating webpages and joining in with on-line arguments) to new ideas and viewpoints. This is very anarchistic as it allows people to express themselves and start to consider new ideas, ideas which may change how they think and act.
Obviously we are aware that the vast majority of people in the world do not have access to telephones, never mind computers, but computer access is increasing in many countries, making it available, via work, libraries, schools, universities, and so on to more and more working class people.
Of course there is no denying that the implications of improved communications and information technology are ambiguous, implying Big Brother as well the ability of progressive and radical movements to organise. However, the point is only that the information revolution in combination with the other social developments could (but will not necessarily) contribute to a social paradigm shift. Obviously such a shift will not happen automatically. Indeed, it will not happen at all unless there is strong resistance to governmental and corporate attempts to limit public access to information, technology (e.g. encryption programs), censor peoples’ communications and use of electronic media and track them on-line.
This use of the Internet and computers to spread the anarchist message is ironic. The rapid improvement in price-performance ratios of computers, software, and other technology today is often used to validate the faith in free market capitalism but that requires a monumental failure of historical memory as not just the Internet but also the computer represents a spectacular success of public investment. As late as the 1970s and early 1980s, according to Kenneth Flamm’s Creating the Computer, the federal government was paying for 40 percent of all computer-related research and 60 to 75 percent of basic research. Even such modern-seeming gadgets as video terminals, the light pen, the drawing tablet, and the mouse evolved from Pentagon-sponsored research in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Even software was not without state influence, with databases having their root in US Air Force and Atomic Energy Commission projects, artificial intelligence in military contracts back in the 1950s and airline reservation systems in 1950s air-defence systems. More than half of IBM’s Research and Development budget came from government contracts in the 1950s and 1960s.
The motivation was national security, but the result has been the creation of comparative advantage in information technology for the United States that private firms have happily exploited and extended. When the returns were uncertain and difficult to capture, private firms were unwilling to invest, and government played the decisive role. And not for want of trying, for key players in the military first tried to convince businesses and investment bankers that a new and potentially profitable business opportunity was presenting itself, but they did not succeed and it was only when the market expanded and the returns were more definite that the government receded. While the risks and development costs were socialised, the gains were privatised. All of which make claims that the market would have done it anyway highly unlikely.
Looking beyond state aid to the computer industry we discover a “do-it-yourself” (and so self-managed) culture which was essential to its development. The first personal computer, for example, was invented by amateurs who wanted their own cheap machines. The existence of a “gift” economy among these amateurs and hobbyists was a necessary precondition for the development of PCs. Without this free sharing of information and knowledge, the development of computers would have been hindered and so socialistic relations between developers and within the working environment created the necessary conditions for the computer revolution. If this community had been marked by commercial relations, the chances are the necessary breakthroughs and knowledge would have remained monopolised by a few companies or individuals, so hindering the industry as a whole.
Encouragingly, this socialistic “gift economy” is still at the heart of computer/software development and the Internet. For example, the Free Software Foundation has developed the General Public Licence (GPL). GPL, also know as
“copyleft”, uses copyright to ensure that software remains free. Copyleft ensures that a piece of software is made available to everyone to use and modify as they desire. The only restriction is that any used or modified copyleft material must remain under copyleft, ensuring that others have the same rights as you did when you used the original code. It creates a commons which anyone may add to, but no one may subtract from. Placing software under GPL means that every contributor is assured that she, and all other uses, will be able to run, modify and redistribute the code indefinitely. Unlike commercial software, copyleft code ensures an increasing knowledge base from which individuals can draw from and, equally as important, contribute to. In this way everyone benefits as code can be improved by everyone, unlike commercial code.
Many will think that this essentially anarchistic system would be a failure. In fact, code developed in this way is far more reliable and sturdy than commercial software. Linux, for example, is a far superior operating system than DOS precisely because it draws on the collective experience, skill and knowledge of thousands of developers. Apache, the most popular web-server, is another freeware product and is acknowledged as the best available. The same can be said of other key web-technologies (most obviously PHP) and projects (Wikipedia springs to mind, although that project while based on co-operative and free activity is owned by a few people who have ultimate control). While non-anarchists may be surprised, anarchists are not. Mutual aid and co-operation are beneficial in the evolution of life, why not in the evolution of software? For anarchists, this “gift economy” at the heart of the communications revolution is an important development. It shows both the superiority of common development as well as the walls built against innovation and decent products by property systems. We hope that such an economy will spread increasingly into the “real” world.
Another example of co-operation being aided by new technologies is Netwar. This refers to the use of the Internet by autonomous groups and social movements to co-ordinate action to influence and change society and fight government or business policy. This use of the Internet has steadily grown over the years, with a Rand corporation researcher, David Ronfeldt, arguing that this has become an important and powerful force (Rand is, and has been since its creation in 1948, a private appendage of the military industrial complex). In other words, activism and activists’ power and influence has been fuelled by the advent of the information revolution. Through computer and communication networks, especially via the Internet, grassroots campaigns have flourished, and the most importantly, government elites have taken notice.
Ronfeldt specialises in issues of national security, especially in the areas of Latin American and the impact of new informational technologies. Ronfeldt and another colleague coined the term
“netwar” in a Rand document entitled “Cyberwar is Coming!”. Ronfeldt’s work became a source of discussion on the Internet in mid-March 1995 when Pacific News Service correspondent Joel Simon wrote an article about Ronfeldt’s opinions on the influence of netwars on the political situation in Mexico after the Zapatista uprising. According to Simon, Ronfeldt holds that the work of social activists on the Internet has had a large influence — helping to co-ordinate the large demonstrations in Mexico City in support of the Zapatistas and the proliferation of EZLN communiqués across the world via computer networks. These actions, Ronfeldt argues, have allowed a network of groups that oppose the Mexican Government to muster an international response, often within hours of actions by it. In effect, this has forced the Mexican government to maintain the facade of negotiations with the EZLN and has on many occasions, actually stopped the army from just going in to Chiapas and brutally massacring the Zapatistas.
Given that Ronfeldt was an employee of the Rand Corporation his comments indicate that the U.S. government and its military and intelligence wings are very interested in what the Left is doing on the Internet. Given that they would not be interested in this if it were not effective, we can say that this use of the “Information Super-Highway” is a positive example of the use of technology in ways un-planned of by those who initially developed it (let us not forget that the Internet was originally funded by the U.S. government and military). While the internet is being hyped as the next big marketplace, it is being subverted by activists — an example of anarchistic trends within society worrying the powers that be.
A good example of this powerful tool is the incredible speed and range at which information travels the Internet about events concerning Mexico and the Zapatistas. When Alexander Cockburn wrote an article exposing a Chase Manhattan Bank memo about Chiapas and the Zapatistas in Counterpunch, only a small number of people read it because it is only a newsletter with a limited readership. The memo, written by Riordan Roett, argued that “the [Mexican] government will need to eliminate the Zapatistas to demonstrate their effective control of the national territory and of security policy”. In other words, if the Mexican government wants investment from Chase, it would have to crush the Zapatistas. This information was relatively ineffective when just confined to print but when it was uploaded to the Internet, it suddenly reached a very large number of people. These people in turn co-ordinated protests against the U.S and Mexican governments and especially Chase Manhattan. Chase was eventually forced to attempt to distance itself from the Roett memo that it commissioned. Since then net-activism has grown.
Ronfeldt’s research and opinion should be flattering for the Left. He is basically arguing that the efforts of activists on computers not only has been very effective (or at least has that potential), but more importantly, argues that the only way to counter this work is to follow the lead of social activists. Activists should understand the important implications of Ronfeldt’s work: government elites are not only watching these actions (big surprise) but are also attempting to work against them. Thus Netwars and copyleft are good examples of anarchistic trends within society, using communications technology as a means of co-ordinating activity across the world in a libertarian fashion for libertarian goals.

Tony never made anything easy. He had a rough childhood growing up, especially with Howard as a father. Yes, you feel bad for leaving Earth when you did. You didn't have to go. You could have stayed and you would have been with Howard to help him look for Steve. Would he be alive if you stayed?
Gaining Tony's trust wasn't gonna be an easy task, but you tried your fucking best.
The Howard you knew was gone and had been replaced by someone who was hard on his kid. He held Tony to a high standard that you've never seen a parent do, always expecting him to do better than everyone else. Yes, Tony went to MIT at the age of fourteen and graduated college at age seventeen but he's not a robot. Howard sees greatness and expects it all the time, and he doesn't stop to think about what his son would have wanted.
"Son of a bitch!" Tony yells and slams his bedroom door.
You're taking a shower in his bathroom since the one at your house is being renovated, so you quickly finish up and slap on some clothes. You open the bathroom door to see Tony pace the length of his room. The balcony doors are open and a nice breeze comes through cooling your heated skin from the shower.
"Tony, are you okay?" you ask carefully.
"No! It's my fucking father!"
"What did he do?"
"I try to give my thoughts about the weapons he's creating but it seems like no matter what I do, he never wants to listen. It's always, 'You can do better than that, son' or, 'You went to MIt. You should be better, Tony'. I'm sick and tired of him always saying shit like that."
What the hell happened to Howard when you were gone? You tried to catch up on Howard's life throughout the years but he purposely kept his parenting out of it. It's weird to see and hear Howard in this life when he was a complete sweetheart to you back then. He loved helping people and wouldn't stop working on inventions that would better people's lives. He often would talk about how excited he'd be for when he finally had a kid, how loved that kid would be.
"Your father is a complicated man," you tried to find the right words.
"Yeah, tell me about it," he scoffs and sits on his bed.
"Tony, listen to me," you sit next to him on the bed and take his hand, "I don't know what life was like growing up with him. I can't wonder what might have happened if I were here but I'm here now and you're not alone. You're a smart kid. Your father was building flying cars much later in life than you are now. You have potential and talent, don't let it go to waste. You don't owe your father anything, but if you need to, then show him just how much of a genius you really are."
"Thanks," Tony sighs. "Were you using my shower?"
"Mine's being renovated. What, you don't want me using your shower?"
"No. Just next time, let me know," he smirks.
"You wish," you laugh and get up from the bed. "You couldn't handle me, Stark."
Tony had a weird way of doing things but you tried your best to be there for him, even after his parents died in 1997. They were on their way to the Bahamas for a vacation when Howard wanted to stop by the Pentagon and deliver a redeveloped serum that was used on Steve back in the 40s. He must have been working on something big since you never got your hands on that serum or knew where it ended up. Their death surrounding that serum is a bit suspicious but an accident nonetheless.
Howard's lifelong friend and business partner, Obadiah Stane welcomed Tony into the family business to pick up where Howard left off. Tony was the designer, Obadiah was the idea person, and you were supporting your good friend from the sidelines. You've seen a lot of weapons in your days so you tried to give your input here and there that Tony so graciously accepted. He loved the spotlight just like his father, but you'd rather stay in the background and behind the scenes.
By the time Tony was in his late thirties, you'd been with him for nearly twenty years. Your relationship blossomed as much as it could without ever stepping over the "friendship" line. Tony is a great man but you're still hung up on your exes to be in a relationship with someone new. One died and the other is somewhere in this universe helping planets win their wars. Carol still has a big place in your heart you're not sure is going to get filled, but you know eventually you'll reunite with her. Maybe then you can figure out if she is the one for you. Bucky was supposed to be the one if he hadn't died. Even still, he would have died from old age by this time anyway, but you don't like to think about stuff like that.
Bucky is and will always be the greatest love of your life. You gave him a decade of love, passion, and adventure. All those memories are for your eyes only, and they're often what keeps you up at night. Alongside Bucky is this black hole where someone used to be, someone who you held to the same standard as Bucky, someone who you loved just as deeply as him. You're not sure who it is since your memory becomes hazy whenever you think too hard about it.
Jet-black hair. Tall with a slim frame. That's all you can see when you think about him. He kind of reminds you of what the Supreme Intelligence looked like before he tried to kill you and keep you prisoner on Hala.
Maybe one day you'll get the answers you're seeking, but today is not one of them.
Tony's been stuck at the casino all day betting, winning, ad losing everything he has. He became a multi-billionaire when his father died, and he's been reckless with money ever since. Everyone around him is hanging onto his every word, two girls are hanging off his arms, the men around the table and cheering for him to win, and you're standing in the back with your arms crossed just watching this happen.
Howard wouldn't be impressed.
"Work it!" Tony yells and rolls the dice at one of the casino games.
The reason he's even at this stupid casino is because he won an Apogee award. The Tampa Bay Business and Wealth Magazine recognizes and awards individuals who are dedicated to their industries like Tony is to Stark Industries.
"How long has he been at this?" Happy asks when he gets to you.
Happy Hogan is Tony's bodyguard and trusted friend. There is nowhere that Tony goes that Happy doesn't follow.
"All day."
"You are unbelievable." You turn to see James Rhodes walk over with an angry look on his face. "Where the hell have you two been?"
"He's been at this all day," you sigh.
"Tony, did you forget something?" Rhodey asks and taps on your best friend's shoulder.
"Just how much money I've won," he laughs.
"Yeah, you remember the Apogee Awards? They told me that if I presented you with an award, you'd be deeply honored."
"Of course, I'd be deeply honored. So, when do we do it?"
"It's right here. Here you go," Rhodey says and hands Tony the award he accepted earlier in the night.
"There it is. That was easy."
"I'm sorry, Rhodey. I tried to get him to leave earlier."
"It's fine. Obadiah saved his ass this time."
"Wow! Would you look at that? That's something else. I don't have any of those floating around," Tony scoffs and hands the award over to you. He slides a shit ton of chips into the middle and grabs the two red dice. He looks to the woman on his right and holds his hand out. "Give me a hand, would you? Give me a little something-something." The woman smirks and blows on his hand, and he moves his fist to Rhodey who is not amused. "Okay, you too."
"I don't blow on a man's dice."
"Come on, honey bear." Rhodey knocks the dice out of Tony's hand and right onto the table. "There it is. Lieutenant Colonel Rhodes rolls!"
"Two craps. Line away," the dealer says when Tony doesn't get the winning number.
"That's what happens," Rhodey shrugs.
"Worse things have happened. I think we're gonna be fine."
Tony gathers his winnings as if he needs the money and starts to walk toward the entrance to the casino. You're on his right, Happy is on his left, and Rhodye is just trying to catch up.
"This is where I exit," Rhodey says and shakes hands with Tony. "Tomorrow, don't be late!"
"I will make sure he is there on time," you promise.
You, Tony, and Happy walk to the car that's waiting but before Tony can get in, someone calls his name. You turn and see a blonde woman trying to get through but is stopped by security.
"Mr. Stark! Excuse me, Mr. Stark! Christine Everhart with Vanity Fair magazine. Can I ask you a couple of questions?"
"Is she hot?" Tony whispers to Happy.
"Yeah, she is."
You roll your eyes just as Tony turns to face her. The two security guards let her through once they see Tony is okay with this.
"You've been called the Da Vinci of our time. What do you say to that?" she asks Tony and pushes her recorder in his face.
"Absolutely ridiculous. I don't paint."
"What do you say to your other nickname? 'The Merchant of Death'?"
"That's not bad. Let me guess, Berkley?"
"Brown, actually."
"Well, Ms. Brown, it's an imperfect world but it's the only one we've got. I guarantee you, the day weapons are no longer needed to keep the peace, I'll start making bricks and beams for baby hospitals."
"Rehearse that much?"
"Every night, in front of the mirror before bedtime."
"I can see that," she chuckles. "All I want is a serious answer."
"Okay, here's serious. My old man had a philosophy, 'Peace means having a bigger stick than the other guy'."
"That's a great line coming from the guy selling the sticks."
"My father helped defeat the Nazis." Yeah, alongside you and Steve. Your shoulders sag at the memory of him. "He worked on the Manhattan Project. A lot of people, including your professors at Brown, would call that being a hero."
"A lot of people would also call that war profiteering," she counterargues.
"Tell me, do you plan to report on the millions we've saved by advancing medical technology or kept from starvation with our intelli-crops? All those breakthroughs are military funding, honey."
"Do you ever lose an hour of sleep your whole life?" she asks and cocks her right eyebrow.
"I'm prepared to lose a few with you."
Tony turns to you and raises both his eyebrows in silent question. You live with Tony now and he doesn't want you in the house, not that you'd want to stay and hear their porn set.
"I'll catch up with you guys later. You two enjoy yourselves."
There is an Air and Space Museum located in Downey, California which is only an hour's drive from where Tony's house is. After World War I, all air and space museums had some sort of space dedicated to the work you and Steve did for your country. The largest section is located in Washington DC but you're not going to go there at this time of night. With your aerokinesis powers, it only takes you twenty minutes.
The museum is close to closing but they still let you in when you hand them a wad of money for a ticket. This museum has a lot of great stuff for people to see but you're only here for one thing and one thing only. Steve's section is located in the back where there are only a few people left finishing their self-tours.
It's a small section that shows Steve's face, your face, and Bucky's face. Beside each picture is a small snippet of the work you did and how it contributed to your country. The one in Washington DC has mannequins with outfits you used to wear, Steve's old stage outfit, a lot more information on what happened, and videos of the kind of people you three were. It seems like no matter who talks about what happened, you three are the sole focus.
After all, it was Bucky who died trying to capture the enemy, and it was you and Steve who saved New York from a bomb.
You sit down right in front of the exhibit and look at your boyfriend's black-and-white face. In your eyes, he's still yours because he doesn't feel gone. Nine hundred years on this Earth and no one has ever made you feel the way Bucky has. Losing Steve only made that hole wider. Carol took that spot but wasn't able to fill the entire hole.
"How am I supposed to do this without you?" you whisper to Bucky's picture.
The memory of you being on that train is still fresh as if it happened yesterday and not sixty-six years ago. Sixty-six years ago. Will you ever find peace about what happened? Will you ever be able to move on? When the employees do their initial sweep around the museum to kick everyone out, that's when you leave. It's well into the night which means Tony and Christine should be done with whatever they're doing.
You get to your home in the middle of the night but Jarvis recognizes you as soon as you open the door. The place is dark and quiet just how you hoped it would be. Christine's clothes are scattered across the floor along with a few articles of Tony's. You head to your room and lay on the bed in silence. It takes an hour to fall asleep into a dreamless night.
