recently I discovered that Kawayoo, one of my all-time favorite Pokemon TCG artists, has some art of Loudred floating around and it's the best thing I've ever seen
so, this is something i've noticed in fandom spaces and want to see how people ~generally~ feel regarding genderbends & genderswaps, especially if they are transgender themselves!
if there's a reason for why you like/dislike genderbends please share in the tags, this is something that genuinely interests me
Since book 7 part 5 (the part where we meet Meleanor/Maleanor 👀) is coming to EN this month, i would love to see your take on lilia’s proposal to meleanor! i mean they were like little kids right? it couldn’t have been that serious…i think the only reason she even brought it up again is because she could tell lilia still genuinely loved her…(even if he didn’t realize it himself?) but, oh well! Let’s think about silly childhood shenanigans to numb the pain! ^_^ (orz)
oh shit?! get ready for a doozy guys, it's comiiiiiing ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
I chickened out of posting the whole thing (look, I get VERY carried away when it comes to these wacky kids and their Tragedy), but I do believe that it probably ended with Lilia getting embarrassed and just shoving the first thing he sees into his mouth to try and cover for it.
Something that I personally appreciate in MDZS is how WWX's fear of dogs is shown and handled.
Like so many stories, irl and in fiction show dogs as totally harmless uwu beings that will only protect you and lick your face, so personally for me it's nice to see a story where it's acknowledged that some dogs can be very vicious and violent, that they can and will bite you at any provocation, and that they can be very dangerous, especially to a young child, and in the end it's completely fine if you don't like them.
And no one who truly cares for WWX tells him to just get over it either; LWJ goes out of his way to protect him from them, without or without WWX requesting it (and he never makes fun of him or ridicules him for his fear), JL too (begrudgingly but firmly) gets Fairy to leave the scene when WWX is shown to be near catatonic with fear around her.
Just something that I think personally validates my own fear of dogs.

Bryan: "I'm proud of you."
CL: "Mamma mia! I think it's the first time that..."
Bryan: "That you cry?"
CL: "Maybe yes, I don't know... Mamma mia. We did it. Finally."
(ID: Kirby series fanart of Galacta Knight seated on a cluster of tall, cracked, geometric stone pillars, framed at an angle with crescent-moon-like rock formations rising behind him as well as a starry sky backdrop. He leers down at the viewer through the cross visor of his mask, his feet crossed and his wings spread majestically, his head resting in one hand, the other held out to lazily nudge the end of his lance, which stands pierced through another pillar below him, his shield similarly embedded in a third pillar beside it. Behind his horns shines a brilliant halo of glowing pink Heart Spears, the pale light that radiates from it erupting in rings of soft flares and leaving all surfaces rimmed with sparkles, as beautiful as it is ominous. so like. at what point are we going to stop listening to game companies saying "the game was poorly received and didn't meet our sales targets, and that's why we're removing it from storefronts and taking down all the servers mere months or even weeks after release" for titles that had a long expensive development, were barely marketed, and nobody knew they'd even released until after they heard they were getting shut down and couldn't be played/purchased anymore?
I feel like the prevailing takeaway for anyone who doesn't just conclude "yeah, game was pretty mid, makes sense to me" has usually been "this company just has unreasonably impossible sales expectations and treats every project like a failure if it doesn't print a trillion dollars". but these ARE allegedly experienced business execs who aren't complete idiots, and after this most recent debacle with Concord I'm starting to wonder if a bunch of these "games getting wiped out of existence when they underperform instead of just being allowed to persist as they are and maybe improve with time" cases in recent years might be more of a Warner-Discovery type situation, like nuking an entire animated series or film that was worked on for years and preventing it from being sold because it has to be officially unprofitable for the company to use it as a tax write-off. I look at a game that was worked on for 8 years and only made available for 2 weeks, and it's hard not to see the parallels.
great work, AAA games industry, really normal and sustainable stuff you're doing over there as usual
