I'm in Spain without the s.
With that I mean that I'm currently in a huge pain au chocolat. Please help me. The French baker I always thought was nice usually compliments me and calls me 'sweet' every time I visit his shop. But this morning he looked at me differently.
I walked down the stairs of the apartment complex towards the basement his little shop is in and when I stepped through the door I could feel that something had changed. I couldn't put my finger on it at the time, but now that I have enough time to think about it (as I'm currently taking the place of a streak of chocolate amidst hundreds of layers of thin dough), I reckon it maybe was the fact that the counter was replaced with a very big pain au chocolat, spread out on the ground, ready to be rolled into the famous French breakfast item.
I stepped up to the old man and asked him if they had any croissants left.
"Yes, we do, but first, can you do something for me?" he said.
I, polite as always, told him that of course I could help him, whatever it was. He smiled very big at that and asked me to lay down in the dough. I didn't question him, even though I was a little sad that my new coat was going to become dirty on the first day that I wore it. He then rolled the dough up into the shape of a pain au chocolat, with me in the left cavity and the girl that was laying beside me in the right. Next he lifted us up, so we were standing vertically instead of laying horizontally.
So that's where I am now. My feet cannot touch the ground and I am surrounded by pain au chocolat. It's been four hours and I don't know what to do. I'm worried my mom won't know where I am. I tried to tell him that, but he just asked me if I really cared that little about him, so of course I had to assure him that he was my favourite baker, and apologize for even suggesting otherwise.
Please help me. What should I do?

Haruki Murakami’s books always have a special place in my heart.
I picked up The Strange Library again after a few years and absolutely love how this book feels. It’s a quiet, understated nightmare filled with alluring illustrations. Everything about the novel feels surreal, like a dream. And in the end, when you thought you’ve got a sweet ending, it leaves a bitter after taste.
Reality can sometimes be just as cruel — or even more so — than a nightmare.

I've read The Strange Library by Haruki Murakami and it was a cool short story! I can't get enough of books about libraries and this one has an interesting dark tone. It has a dreamy (or nightmare-ish) atmosphere but a very bittersweet ending. As it usually goes with short stories, I'd love to see some things expanded, however, it was a quick and nice read!

I wish that the Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde had been told from Jekyll’s point of view rather than Utterson’s. After reading it, I was struck with that feeling of ‘this was good for what it could have been.

I don’t know Ya’ll, there’s an awful lot of pearl clutching over the Typhlosion myth for a fandom where Ash’s mom dating a Mr.Mime has been one of the most common jokes for a couple decades now
