I think about Eda guiding Luz's finger a lot. That's how she used to know magic- she used to know magic as an impulsive action and when she had magic she was a pro at tapping into that impulse but her mentee lacked it entirely and they had to find a whole new way of understanding magic. If Luz could do spell circles from the get go Eda would have taught her the way she does in that final battle sequence but Luz would have taken on Eda's impulsive use of magic. In the meantime, Eda lost the magic she took for granted and both gained a firm understanding of the magic as a gift from creation and the land. Now they both have a sharper awareness of how magic works and that same awareness is what caused the Titan choose to give his full powers to Luz. In that battle sequence Eda can teach Luz how to use magic the way she knows best and each have a complete understanding on how it works- respect and honoring of the world's magic *and* innate impulsivity combined.

Summary: Y/N had tried everything in her power to protect her adopted son and his friends, so when she got pushed into the Human Realm with the Hexsquad, she confides to Camilla about how Hunter must think she's a bad parent.

Character: Luz, Amity, Hunter, Vee, Gus, Camilla.

Camilla stared at the ex coven scout, her eyes glistening with tears that have yet to fall from her E/C optics, as she looks at the women who knew more about being a mother than she ever did. Camilla couldn't comprehend why this all powerful witch came to her, a human, to confide in.

"Hunter must really think I'm a poor excuse of a mother." Y/N said, the tears wanting to fall from her face. Camilla panicked, not wanting her to cry.

"No, no. Hunter doesn't think that sweetheart," Camilla spoke in a motherly tone, the thirty-Five-year old looked at her in disbelief, before scoffing.

"How could he not, I mean, look at me. I'm a mess." She put her head in her hands and sighed, "I used to be powerful, he looked up to me, I could tell. He wanted to follow in my footsteps, but he doesn't have any magic. The only thing he has is Flapjack," Y/N said. Camilla frowned at the new mother, she put her hands on the others knees causing the witch to look at her.

"Hey now, don't say that. Hunter is glad to have you," Y/N felt her ears and cheeks heat at how gentle the older women's voice was.

"Really?" She was skeptical, cause who would be glad to have her?

"Really. Now, why don't you go and talk to him. I think he needs his mom right now," Camilla told her, a gentle smile on her face. Y/N smiled in return, before leaning forwards and kissing the women's cheek in gratitude. She pulled away, not noticing the deep blush that was on Camilla's face.

"Thanks for the advice Camilla. Luz is lucky she has you as a mother. Welp, wish me luck, Amor." Y/N said as she stood, winking at the blushing mess of the women who watched the witch walk away.

"O-oh." Camilla muttered under her breath, not believing exactly what had happened.

As Y/N made her way down the stairs of the house, going towards the living room, where the TV was lit up. On the couch sat Willow, Vee, Gus, and Hunter and on the ground in front of the couch sat Luz and Amity, all watching whatever movie they had decided to watch for their regular movie night.

Hunter was the first to notice her, his eyes lighting up as he stood up from his seat and went over to her. Grabbing one of her hands, tugging on it, "Mom, you won't believe what we're watching." Hunter said, the word mom leaving his mouth as if it was the most normal thing that could come from the young teens mouth.

"Yeah?" She asked, a smile on her face. He pulled her to the couch, having her sit next to him whilst he sat next to Willow.

"It's called the Wizard of Oz!" He spoke, before telling her what what she missed of the show. Y/N sat there, watching her kid talk about the movie. It was so good to see him so happy now that he was out of their coven. She smiled at the thought of them finally being free from that monster. Finally free.

End Note: okay, the ending was probably rushed, but I'll either fix it later or write a new one. But I've had this idea for Hunter for a while, because this boy definitely needs a really tight hug from his parental figure 😭 I can take request if anyone wants anymore Hunter & his parental figure. And I guess the Noceda's have a thing for witches lmao

I'm working on a project animating to a short clip of Gay Werewolf Murder Ballad, and there's a section where I want to add howling.

I'm very intrigued by the Wicked Witch character here. Her design, and the creatures serving her, are actually fairly accurate to the Frank L. Baum novels, which is refreshing. I'm curious if she will be an actual autonomous character, or if she's just a construct of this illusory Oz world. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets killed off by Hexfinder...

As a random side note, one thing I love to see in fantasy works, one of my favorite tropes to play and fiddle with, are groups of wizards, or coven of witches, or orders of sorcerers, and how they play as a whole and as each individual.

You know: the Istari of Tolkien, the Taken of The Black Company, the Disciples of Aldur from the Belgariad, the Aes Sedai of the Wheel of Time, Tad Williams' The League of the Scroll, the Four Wizards of the Flight of the Dragons... Even when they are more loose groups I still love them - the cardinal witches of Oz, the Sheelba/Ningauble duo (plus affiliated sorcerers) of Fafhrd and the Mouser, the wizards and witches of Narnia, the Fay Ladies of Arthurian legend...

I guess it also feeds into my love for magic schools as groups/concepts. So that people don't solely focus on a certain wart on the back of a hog, I'll mention the overseen examples of Earthsea's Roke, Discworld's Invisible University, Warhammer's Colleges of Magic, or more recently MtG's Strixhaven.

I wonder if this fixation with magic-wielding groups doesn't come from my childhood, and my original absolute mad love for the Demon Sorcerers of JCA...

Matty M. Talks about Vicky Schmidt's polaroids in Monster Prom because she deserved more of them.

Ok so i was looking at the MP gallery because i wanted to see more Vicky stuff, and was kinda baffled at how little she is the main focus of like. ANY polaroid.

Outside of the Romance Option polaroids(which you get for completing a non-secret route with any character + a RO), Vicky appears in a total of 7 polaroids, none of which she interacts with a non-RO character, 4 of which she's in the background/very clearly not the focus, and 3 of which she is.

Mind you, one of those is THE FUCKING BAND POLAROID.

and in one of them, her face barely fucking shows, and i can only really consider this a Vicky polaroid because at least she IS there, since the image space is very clearly intending you to focus on either Damien and Zoe interacting, or The Coven's singular appearance in the polaroids, so that too is a bust i guess

Of course, i don't simply mean to say she only needed more polaroids about her interactions with other characters. her pesonality is very much well-estabilished by her polaroids and Location Pictures(primary examples being her Gym and Bathrooms LP)

Now, compared to her Polaroids, let's see what the other characters have!!

Morgana accidentally turns Oz into a cat and now they have to find the spell to undo it and also figure out how to stop the possible war brewing between the Vampires and the Witches and who tried to poison the blood at the meeting. It's only the beginning of the story (episodes 1-19) and the slow blooming romance between Oz and Morgana has begun. This was such a cute read and I'm so happy this webtoon series is being made into a book. I adore Morgana so much and I can't wait to read the rest of the books! The artwork is really cute and the overall story has been fun to read. It's a cute start to the series and I really love Morgana's family so much. I can't wait to read the next book!
