Rabbit -- one of your cherished stuffed companions
Rabbit belongs to one of you dear people, and she gave me permission to share his story with you.:-) He was in the hospital about a year ago.
She initially wrote:
I live in South Florida and I am a big fan of your hospital! I have a stuffed rabbit plush animal, I believe he may have once been a Bugs Bunny plush, but to me he has always been "Rabbit" and I cannot find any leads online as to his "origins". Rabbit has been with me since I was 6 months old-- he's almost 24 years old! He's been my constant companion, and I still sleep with him and love him to this day. As you might imagine, this has led to many surgeries...
Lately, Rabbit has had very thin fabric fur, and you can see through to the stuffing (mostly on his tummy). He's also in need of some new stuffing, as his current has gotten pretty clumpy over the years. My mom and I have talked about possibly giving him a  complete fur transplant on his tummy as we have applied patches before, but we aren't experts and don't want to cause him harm! He gets holes in his fabric very easily as he has become very delicate from love over the years... We are almost afraid to touch him with anything other than a hug!
Now there were many photos attached to this note, and just fyi, for diagnosis the more photos the better, but you all don't need quite so many close ups... here are three critical photos from his diagnosis:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can really see in the last two photos how thin his fabric was getting.... but he has such a cute face, and it's mostly embroidered, and I thought they may want to keep that, so.... there were many (actually 7!) options for his care. Keep in mind, he's over 2 feet long, too. Here were the treatment options (a spa could be added to any):
1) Given his style of fabric, and his artistic belly patches, and the fact that he has embroidered facial features, we could line his body with new fabric.  This reinforces his body and limbs while keeping his current appearance.  He would get all new body stuffing as part of this treatment, as the stuffing would need to come out for lining and it can't go back in.  But, a small amount of original stuffing would be preserved in a heart in his chest.  With this treatment, he could still wear, but you would see lining before stuffing.  Also, for future repairs, the lining could take the pressure of stitches away from his skin.  I would also minimize the older scarring on his side.
2) I can do everything in option 1, plus line his head.
3) I can do everything in option 1, plus line his head and ears.
4) Instead of lining, we could recover just his belly and lower sides of limbs. His original skin (and old patches) would remain underneath, reinforcing the new fabric.  I would get as close as possible to his current fabric color and texture.  Perfect fabric matches are rarely possible, but if that is the case, I will send photos of him with transplant options so you can choose what you like best. I would also minimize his scars.
5) I can recover his entire torso and limbs (leaving his head and ears as is). I would also minimize his scars.
6) I can recover his belly and lower side of limbs around his patches (keeping his artistic appearance). I would also minimize his scars.
7) I can recover his belly around his patches and recover the rest of his body and limbs. I would also minimize his scars.
His person thought about it, discussed it with her family, and ultimately decided on option 5: recover his entire torso and limbs but leave his head and ears as is. They also added a spa for Rabbit, which would treat the lumpiness of his stuffing as well as clean him.
So Rabbit flew to the hospital and began treatment with his bubble bath:
Tumblr media
He got restuffed before recovering, so here is his heart being made and installed with a bit of his original stuffing:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I started by recovering his gray areas, leaving the white of his pawpads and tail original. At this point, I sent chubbiness approval photos and let his person decide whether she still wanted to recover the white (which was in better shape than the gray):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His person wrote: "Wow, he looks amazing!! His chubbiness looks perfect, I can't wait to hold him! I would like to recover his white patches of fur"
So Rabbit got closed up, and the white got recovered, and then he was ready to fly home!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Approved, Rabbit flew home to Florida. When he arrived back cross country, his person wrote:
Rabbit is home!! Thank you so, so much!! He looks amazing, he's soooo soft and cuddly, I can't wait to spend many many more years with my darling angel rabbit! I cannot thank you enough Doctor, you're truly an angel!! I'm so blessed to have found you and your lovely hospital!! My mom and I can't stop gushing over how soft and cuddly Rabbit is, he's like brand new! I'll continue to treasure him for the rest of my life with your help!

The fandom: Oh My God! I love Daemon! He’s a feminist and is my favourite character! Team Black all the way cause they’re the good guys!
Daemon:
- Beats a messenger who’s only job was to deliver a piece of paper
- He makes fun of his brothers newly deceased son because it means he has a higher chance of claiming of the throne, celebrating it in a tavern and brothel
- Stole a dragon egg by lying to his whore and to his brother saying he was marrying her and she was pregnant
- Took Rhaenyra out on a nightly stroll to then lead her into a brothel, dry hump her and then left her by herself (a 14 year old) in the silk streets
- Tried to ruin Rhaenyra’s reputation for the sole purpose of having her to himself
- Killed his own wife who was innocent in this whole situation and was disrespected by him so many times, by bashing her face in with a rock after scaring her horse
- Took second best option which was Laena but didn’t really love her as she deserved, took her away from her home, denied her request to go back to see her parents to which she then died.
- Barely pays any attention to his twin girls
- Married his niece after planning the murder of her husband (again innocent) and In the books he was murdered but the series let him get away - this meant that Rhaenys and Corlys were left without children all thanks to Daemon
- Had his daughters attend the wedding of their aunt/cousin and their dad a few days after their mothers funeral
- Didn’t care too much when his own daughters came in with their faces covered in blood after fighting with Aemond and instead tended to Rhaenyra’s kids
- Sailed away to Dragon stone with Rhaenyra
- came back to Kingslanding only to not believe anything Alicent says despite the fact he has been absent for the last 6 years and has no idea what’s going on
- Kills Vaemond for stating facts after taunting him to say them
- Accuses the greens of killing Viserys because again he doesn’t like them, the man literally had a hole in his head… he couldn’t walk, like barely talk, and Daemon still won’t accept the fact that maybe he just died?
- Leaves Rhaenyra alone during her childbirth despite her wailing and calling his name, instead he just wants to plan the war he’s always dreamed of
- Tries to push for a war by disobeying Rhaenyra’s commands
- Doesn’t say a word to Rhaenyra after she just squeezed out their stillborn daughter by herself, instead he goes to mope on the beach
- claims another dragon - probably to be more powerful when one of his daughters still doesn’t even have one.
- Strangles Rhaenyra because she doesn’t want to have a war and refuses to make the first move.
(In the books or history of ASOIAF)
- Sends assassins to kill one of Aegon and Helaenas children as a “son for a son” after Luke is killed by Aemond, these assassins then torture Helaena into picking out of her 3 children which one should die, when she refuses to make a decision they threaten to rape her like 3-6 year old daughter. She chooses her youngest as she thinks it will be better as he won’t even know what’s going on, they end up killing the older one which ultimately leads Helaena killing herself.
And again I’m left wondering why people consider him good? How people honestly think Alicent is worse than him, or even Aemond. Daemon is a horrible character, he’s an asshole, only wants for himself, and his actions in the last episode (episode 10) makes it seem as though the only reason he married Rhaenyra was to sit on the throne as she was his last and only option left.
I think Rhaenyra knows as well, considering she was eyeing him as he stared at Viserys crown, then was watching him wearily when he placed it on her head.
And don’t get me started on Rhaenyra either, Daemon is more violent and self-centred but Rhaenyra is more spoiled and self-centred.
Just to list a few of the reasons why Rhaenyra isn’t all good no matter how bad you feel for her now
- Constantly got away with the notion of refusing to marry despite the fact if she was in any other house and their father demanded their daughter marry, they would have no choice
- Lied to her father and Alicent about the night Daemon took her to the brothel and implied Otto was lying (he technically wasn’t) which ultimately got him sent away
- Claimed she was still a “maiden” after sleeping with Ser Criston, again, something she got away with as the Maester claimed the tea was from Viserys meaning he didn’t believe her but kept quite
- Refused all advances Alicent made in order to regain or at least heal their broken friendship after being told she would marry the king (something she couldn’t refuse, and was manipulated into doing by her father)
- When told to marry Laenor, she claimed she would do her duty to the realm by having his child, which she didn’t do and even admitted they barely tried for one.
- Cut her tour off early cause she was bored
- Seeked her own pleasure from Harwin, setting her bastard kids up for defeat by trying to persuade people to think her and her husband, both having white hair birthed three dark haired boys.
- Refused to ever admit it even though it was obvious
- Got away with it considering Viserys always tried to deflect Alicents advances to do something about it
- proposed her bastard child should sit the Driftmark throne, which would mean the death of true house Valeryon
- After seeing her son cut out another boy (her brothers) eye, she instead (not asking her kids why he did that, or told him he shouldn’t) wanted action be taken because her sons were called bastard by a 10 year old but no action against her son because in her eyes they did nothing wrong
- it was 4v1 and he was supposed to be asleep? Why does he have a dagger Rhaenyra?
- Was satisfied with “making peace” even though all her son got was a broken nose, and Alicents son lost an eye
- As Alicent said, Rhaenyra never had to sacrifice anything, to get where she was, vs Alicent who had to sacrifice everything
- Conspired with Daemon (after having sex with him again commuting adultery for the second time) to kill her husband so she can marry him
- Left Kingslanding which meant she only got to spend a day with her father after not seeing him for 6 years, and then left him to die alone again
- Got Vaemond killed for again stating the truth
- Accused the greens of killing her father who was on the brink of death before she left
And yeah, that’s just a few. I’m not going to start on Luke either, that will be a different day, different time.
So if you have gotten this far, which I’m sure no one has lol, you can tell I am 100% team Green. It’s poetic because the team your drawn to side with is team black because it has the main characters, they are made to look like the good guys where as team green is made to look evil.
If you really put it into perspective with everyone’s actions, team black has done worse things than team green by far.

episode 10 had to happen
(i.e. Kazuki and Rei had to lose Miri so they could properly choose her)
In my last meta post I said this: [I could write a whole screed about how ep 10 was a necessary--at least a highly valuable--story beat, but this post is already very long. Some other time, perhaps. ]
It's time!
Misaki coming back for Miri in episode 10 is a plot point that I've seen get a lot of dislike—and even hate—from fans of the series. Emotionally, I get it. The sweet, chaotic order of the family we'd come to know and love ends up abruptly upended and all for a character that was already disliked. But I've always maintained that it was necessary, for multiple reasons. The obvious one is the in-universe rationale: the organisation—Suwa Shigeki specifically—has taken note of Miri and the fact that she's apparently been adopted by Rei.
Tumblr media
(One thing that took me a couple watches to realise was that Shigeki had to have pre-arranged for someone to go tail Kazuki and Miri at the supermarket before he messaged for Rei to return. After Ogino splits off from Rei near the end of episode 8, we see him go to Yadogiri and give Kyu the above photo. That was from earlier in the episode.)
This is an active, looming threat to her life. In order to get ahead of it, Kyu contacts Misaki so she can take Miri away. The fact that Shigeki was already interested enough to have a dossier created is precisely why it doesn't work—it's too paltry an offering for such a ruthless and single-minded individual. We already saw him have the romantic partner of one of his men, Kaji Satoru, be brutally killed as collateral damage. But something had to be attempted and it wasn't a terrible idea.
The other reason is displayed at the very end of episode 11. Narratively, for the Kurusuwa family to be real, they have to choose each other and fight to keep each other.
Tumblr media
In episode 1, the three of them cross paths of the first time in the form of Miri running into the special lift and getting herself right in the middle of their hit, making it chaotic and messy and nearly getting killed in the process. Kazuki uses her as an excuse to get out of the building before the police arrive, and he takes her back tot heir place because there's no other choice for them in the moment. At home, they find out that their mark was her bio dad.
In episode 2, they find out that Miri's mother sent her away because she doesn't want to raise her anymore. They try to get info out of Miri about her mother so they can send her back, but she's too little to be of help. They then resort to "slyly" asking Kyu (drawing his suspicions in the process lol). While they're there, they end up accepting a job that they ultimately end up taking Miri along with. It's a terrible decision and a whole shit show. The job implodes, Miri and Kazuki are almost killed, Kyu is pissed at them. But they get the info they need about Misaki's whereabouts.
In episode 3, they set out to send Miri back to her mother they way they have been scheming to do since she stumbled into their path. Despite their previous stance on Miri, Rei surprisingly (?) shows reluctance to send her back and Kazuki clearly isn't ecstatic to be doing it either. But it's the "right" thing to do, so off they go. While Rei is embracing the idea of being a parental figure to Miri for the first time, Misaki is— quite predictably—rejecting Miri when Kazuki shows up. So, Miri is effectively abandoned and orphaned by her two legal parents, leaving her in the care of the two guys who killed her father. And, like a lot of things, Rei and Kazuki don't really talk about it.
Tumblr media
"For three?" Rei asks.
"For three," Kazuki confirms.
"Got it."
And that's it. This child falls into their laps, they make a single failed attempt to give her to a relative, and then for the next six episodes, we watch them try to shape themselves into becoming her parents. It's easy to get sucked into the story and forget (or at least not actively think about) the fact that they didn't deliberately adopt this child (or birth her, the way Kazuki's mind has gone the extra mile to implant lol) and that they ostensibly didn't want her at the start. Then episode 10 happens and the reality check comes.
By this point, they want to keep Miri and they initially argue with Misaki about her motives and her timing. But there really is nothing else to be done except capitulate and give Miri up. They have to let her go. It hurts, but it also gives weight and meaning to when they ultimately resolve to be a family for good. The second time around, it involves actually getting out of hitman work, which was something they hadn't felt moved to do when Miri simply ended up with them the first time.
I know another part of the reason some people don't like this plot point is the pacing, that they get her back one episode after giving her up, but that's never bothered me 🤷🏽‍♀️ Shigeki was always going to escalate the situation into triple homicide and I personally think that a whole episode of 'Miri hangs out with Misaki, oblivious to her change in living arrangements, while Rei and Kazuki sulk and pine' would be dragging the separation out for the sake of it. Their depression and misery and regression, down to Rei finally giving up and deciding to head back to Shigeki, is more than enough for me.
I'm aware that some people also don't like it because it bring Misaki back just to kill her off in the next episode and, controversially (??) I'm fine with that too. Not in a vindictive 'I hate Misaki' kind of way, just purely in a 'it raises the stakes and also permanently ties up a loose end' kind of way.

Ray felt shameful.
Even as he recovered from the explosion, he felt guilty and shameful for how the situation played out. No matter how much he begged, pleaded, or lamented with her to leave him behind and save herself—she refused to let him be alone if that was the end of his life—and her blood was on his hands because of it.
Neither died from the explosion, instead, they were left with scars that wouldn’t leave no matter how many years passed by. He could live knowing that he had marred his flesh because he just couldn’t do anything right—he couldn’t dispose of himself properly—but the scars on her body felt like they were his to take the blame for in the end.
She might’ve stayed with him, knowing what that meant in every way, but she didn’t choose to carry the weight of his sins. She chose to stand to with him so he wouldn’t be afraid to... you know... go away by himself. He spent too many years alone and afraid... and his selfish wish was the ugliest of all, because he felt ultimately grateful that someone was there with him.
Even though the guilt was just as powerful to him as that relief. Even though it’d been a few months since the explosion, he couldn’t shake these feelings away no matter how hard he tried. They were a part of him now... and he doubted the emotions were going to stop vexing him anytime soon. It might’ve been easier to bite his tongue, lay down in the cabin V decided to hole them in, and cry.
But, he couldn’t do that.
The pain of immobility was worse than the pain of a gentle breeze hitting his body like a thousand paper cuts.
It left Ray to sit there on the porch, watching Lila as she sat underneath a tree, a pencil in hand as she stared at the patch of dandelions that swarmed around her legs. She had every reason to be sent back to the RFA... to America... to people who could take care of her better than he ever did. She could’ve gone back to a life that wouldn’t hurt her like... like he did.
Yet, there she was, a sunhat protecting her face from overexposure from the sun and an eye-patch to limit the damage to her pupil. Even if he took the brunt of it that day... leaving most of his right side from his cheek to his mid-thighs with the abrasive edge of frayed skin... it didn’t change the fact that she got hurt, too. The fire licked the left side of her face, burning her cheek from just beneath her eyes to her shoulder blades.
Her hair was no longer in waves that cascaded down her back. it was short and framed her face in a way that made him wonder if it tickled. The curls kissed her cheeks in a way that he once... dreamed of doing. As always, he felt like he was transfixed on her image and he wanted nothing more than to paint her face like a portrait that would never fade from the gallery of his mind.
But, his quivering hand wavered and couldn’t bring his brush to the canvas like he once had. A half-finished painting haunted him of a life that he once dreamed of that they could never have again. There was no more castle, no more walls to protect them, no more gardens and tiaras to bathe her in glory, and no more lost eyes and deluded fantasies that could never amount to the way he realized just how much she’d come to mean to him.
“Why didn’t you send her back?” his broken voice sounded foreign to him but it was a question that plagued him like nothing else.
“My mistake was trying to pull you two apart,” V’s voice responded from behind him, his tone just as weary and shameful, but Ray didn’t flinch when he admitted that. “If only I listened when she pleaded with me to ask for help... your suffering wouldn’t have gotten as far as it did. I cannot change the past, however, so the fact remains that we have to accept our actions and the consequences that are a part of them.”
“That doesn’t answer my question.”
“Neither of you can heal from this without the other. That might... be the selfish part of my choices thus far, but... speaking from experience, this pain that you’re suffering... it’s better suffered with someone by your side instead of all alone in a dark place where no relief can be found.”
“...”
“...”
“What do you know about this shame, anyway?” Ray asked. His voice was more cruel than he intended it to be, partially his own frustration mixed in with what he knew was Saeran’s contempt just lurking behind his mind’s eye. “Don’t act like a man like you knows what this feels like.”
V moved from behind him, but the smallest sound of something light hitting the table next to him was done with extra care as not to frighten Ray with what he’d discovered wasn’t safe for him—loud noises. The man he once considered to be interesting and admirable was still in there, Ray hoped, but it was hard to let go of everything that happened to him, both before Mint Eye and after it.
Ray drew in a breath as he took a spot on the porch step beneath him. What was he thinking, anyway?
V unpeeled the shirt from his back just enough so that Ray could see the marred skin from a fire that must’ve taken place in his childhood. The burns covered his upper back, all across his shoulder blades as if the fire had dug its tendrils into it without hesitation. Well, it explained why V always wore so many layers all year around ever since he met him.
“I lost my mother in a fire when I was a boy. She died. She did everything she could to protect me back then, even though I hadn’t been a good son to her in years, if ever. After she found me... slumped over from smoke inhalation, she tried to get me outside of our house... and she succeeded... getting me out of the house... she didn’t get out. These scars I carry... these burns... these are a reminder of her love for me despite my failure as a son.”
“I didn’t have anyone but Jumin back then... but after the accident, I couldn’t face him for weeks. He was the one who wanted me to mend things with my mother... the one pushing me to make things right. But, before I could... the fire happened. I pushed him away for a while. I suffered alone... feeling the fire and letting every part of my body suffer because I felt like I deserved to suffer for being the reason why my mother didn’t help herself.”
“I think... that’s where I went wrong in the end, Ray. My mother loved me more than herself and she wanted me to know that by doing everything she could to save my life. My being alive is... I think that’s her love for me. I don’t want you... to suffer alone, Ray. I don’t think Lila would want you to suffer through this alone, either. That’s why she was willing to die with you.”
As V let his shirt fall back down, Ray looked down at his lap. He didn’t know that V went through something like that. In fact, there was a lot about V that he didn’t know. He never wanted to know more after Rika whispered things into his head, but this? This was something that made sense in some ways, and confused him in others.
Ray couldn’t remember everything about the day that V found the two of them left in the crumbling mass of Mint Eye’s rubble, but... he couldn’t remember the anguish in his sobs and the sound of him begging V to save Lila, not him... not him... if he was to suffer in Hell, so be it. That’s what he felt. That’s what Saeran felt, too... even if his voice was so quiet today.
The guilt in V’s voice felt palpable. “If I can do anything to make things right... I’ll start with you two. I’ll make sure that you both always have each other to hold onto. This fire won’t be a tragedy. It’s painful and you’re still suffering today... but I won’t let either of you fall victim to what I suffered if it’s the last thing I do on this Earth.”
Ray didn’t know what to say.
Not that he imagined there was anything that could be said.
“I don’t deserve—”
“Son,” V’s voice was firm, not harsh, but it shut Ray up as soon as he said it. “I won’t let you become me. I won’t let you spend years suffering alone when you have people who love you and want the best for you. No matter what, I vow that no matter how far you stumble or fall, I’ll be here to pick you up and show you a world that exists beyond our self-loathing and fears.”
“I know you want to sit with Lila. Go on, she’s waiting for you for join her this afternoon. I promise you this, no matter what you’re feeling, she would want nothing more than for you to be by her side. She made her choice and I don’t think she regrets it.”
Ray could feel his body trembling from the influx of emotion. It was a lot... it was too much, in fact. How was he supposed to believe in those words? How was he supposed to believe in anything? He couldn’t believe people were willing to die... to save him, much less than it could be possible that people cared about him like that. Tears bubbled up in the corners of his eyes.
Beyond his wandering eyes, he could see Lila, her smile as plain as day as she beckoned him with a waving hand. She wasn’t angry with him nor was she lost in a sea of resentment. In her brown eyes was nothing more than what could be described as love.
Oh.
Oh.
He croaked, in a whisper, not a voice, “Thank you, Dad.”

Now to answer questions literally nobody asked!
Aurora is Eon's neice; why can't she be claimed as his heir?
Because I said so. No. So before Academy aired, I personally headcannoned that Eon had a younger sister. And that's part of the reason why he was so adamant about Aurora not becoming a skylander; his sister would kill him. Here, I'm gonna say that yes, Eon has a younger sister who married a different lord and had two children. A son and a daughter. The son is the heir to hid father's lordship, and Eon was originally going to name Aurora his heir. But then she fell in love with the heir to one of the Cloudbreak Island lordships, and so that plan went out the window. He does not blame her, of course. He was overjoyed when he heard the news. But it did make things difficult.
How did Perry wind up in Skylands in this AU? (Non spoiler verison)
Ok, so to explain I need to say a bit from my original idea:
There is a stretch of woods behind Perry's childhood home. As a child, she was scared to death of going into it because she claimed there was something "weird" about it. Now, obviously, that's where I'm putting the portal. So within this AU, Perry decides to be brave when she's 17 and go into the woods despite how much it weirds her out. She finds the portal and messes around with it, which of course, isn't a good idea. Don't play around with things you don't understand. This leads to her being transported to Skylands by accident, with no way home. And this leads into the next question:
Why did Eon choose to adopt Perry as his heir and daughter?
He originally wasn't going to; when he first came across Perry, he figured she was yet another random encounter of Skylands' magic going haywire and bringing yet another person from another world/time. (Because according to Dive Clops' back story, time vortexes are relatively common???) And he is one of the few beings who still regard an old law of bringing unwitting travelers up to speed with how Skylands works: how to read, write, currency, politics, etc. and then letting them figure out what to do from there. However, as she was being taught all these things, he noticed many of the same signs that he exhibited that marked him as a Portal Master when his master took him under his wing. So now he really can't just let her galavant around Skylands. That would basically be a death sentence. He then comes to the realization that he could probably adopt her and name her his heir. This kills two birds with one stone; keeps his people from having to adjust to a new rule, and keeps her safe. So, he teaches Perry how to hide the fact that she is a Portal Master and then sends a letter to Aurora asking if she would be willing to take Perry as a Lady in Waiting. Aurora agrees, and Perry learns how to act as a Lady should from both her hand maids and Aurora. The two girls get along very well and continue to send letters to one another.
Does Kaosandra know that Kaos is a Portal Master?
I've thought long and hard about this one, and have ultimately decided no. She will not know. The linchpin for this was the existence of the Wilikin. If the Wilikin exist, then she would know 100%. But so would the rest of his family, who would gladly turn him over to Nefarion. And even if he just made one and showed her, it would still feel too convenient. So instead, I'm having it be to where he made one wilikin while by himself out of loneliness, freaked out, accidentally destroy it, and never tried again.
Glumshanks will know that he's a Portal Master though, he raised Kaos and knows when things are bothering him. He helps Kaos hide it.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Wilikin. But they don't fit in this story without giving away a necessary secret.
You've mentioned that the Skylanders are going to be members of staff or guards, who has what jobs?
So I've actually got a mix of NPCs and Skylanders in different jobs. Here's what I got so far:
Hugo - Eon's valet
A valet is basically the men's version of a handmaid, but they also act as an assistant. Hugo did, however, also teach Perry how to read and write in Skylish.
Cali - housekeeper
So the housekeeper is basically the female version of a butler. Now, if there is both a butler and housekeeper, all the maid servants (with the exception of head nurse and hand maids) listen to the housekeeper while all the man servants (with the exception of the valet) listen to the butler. I feel this suits Cali.
Flynn - coachman
Of course our main man is in charge of transportation.
Ghost Roaster - head cook
This is also obvious lmao
Camo - gardener
This is mostly so that I can put Camo and Ghost Roaster into situations because their dynamic is hilarious
Sonic Boom - head nurse (but currently working with Whirlwind in the infirmary)
So the head nurse is the staff member who takes care of the babies and young children, but there obviously isn't any of those (and won't be for a good long time. Period) so for the moment, she either offers to watch children of the other staff members or helps out in the infirmary.
Whirlwind - infirmary keeper
This is not an actual historical position, but in a world where there are 2 foot tall pests (chompys) and magic potions for just about everything, having someone who knows what to do about wounds seems like a good idea.
Hex and Stealth Elf - hand maids
Hand maids are in charge of all the lady's needs as well as helping with her dress and hair. I imagine Hex being better with the dressing part of the job while Stealth is better at hair.
Spyro - head guard
Of course our boy is here :)

The warnings for the chapter tell me I shouldn't read this one. Could you do a summary for it? If not that's okay 💜
to be honest, i think you're okay with reading those few first scenes (up until her moments with namjoon (which is the last scene) -- though there are some small triggering ptsd moments (when she walked through her old annex and it's a bit of a daunting experience for her but it's not that intense)
i wanted to add the summary of all the scenes but tumblr's a biatch and it won't fit everything in so i'll just summarize the last one (so if you think you can't handle those first few scenes, send another ask and i'll try to summarize them for you)
in the last scene, y/n and namjoon are sitting across each other with a coffee table in between and she's acting all easygoing and carefree once more, as if she has no conscience
they talk a bit about jungwon, she pretends to apologize by going on her knees but when she goes to do it, namjoon stops her with an angry shout
he asks her why she did it; taking advantage of him when she knew jungwon meant a lot to him, and she answers that she needed his power for her own convience because if he was allowed to use her as a pawn, wouldn't it only be fair?
namjoon argues that he didn't use anyone she loved against him
y/n stands and says that he used the boys against her (and he follows suit, standing as well)
this is when y/n comes to realize that namjoon pushed her that far because he thought everyone would be happier and end up fine were she to return to her father
"You ended up fine anyways...It’s not like you had nowhere else to go. Your father accepted you back with open arms" - kim namjoon
which makes her let out a hysterical laugh
and she reminisces on the days she returned, about wondering what her next meal would be, when it would be, because sometimes they came in small platters and sometimes they didn't come at all, and in all those times, she'd be too afraid to eat anything because her father has tried (countless times) to kill her through food poisoning -- which triggers her fear of food and led to her eating disorder
yuna came to be the only person she could trust and she would only eat whatever yuna made her despite how horrible they were (yuna's a horrible cook)
but there were definitely days when y/n just wouldn't eat at all, and it implies that that was the time she started falling apart, giving up and succumbing to the darkness -- breaking
and namjoon would never know what he did forcing her back to the reaper's manor
so in her anger, she tells him that she's glad she jungwon's dead
and that's when she starts chanting about the fact that she killed him, that he was kind to her and in the end, she betrayed him
and it basically triggers her into forcing namjoon's hands and telling him to kill her -- which fails because namjoon pushes her away and calls the boys to detain her because at this point, y/n's going crazy and shouting at him (during this time, she's ignoring all warning signs of her body to get away because leehyun still holds affect on her)
she manages to break away from yoongi and seokjin who held her back and the room falls dead silent when she punches a fist into the coffee table, ultimately breaking it and causing shards of glass to dig into her skin
and here y/n goes off about how much it still hurts despite thinking that she stopped feeling all those years ago, spoke on the past addressing the boys, said "If you tell me you cared then, that you did still love me then, then I call that bullshit because how can you love someone and willingly watch them fall apart?"
but she tells them that she also understands because the gang is number one, that choosing her meant betraying the gang, and that they had nothing if they don't have the gang
and so she turns to namjoon and makes sure he knows that that was what he did to them; force them to choose him. though in the end, everything turned out okay for them and everyone lived happily ever after because she returned to a loving family that loved and cherished her
the room falls silent once more and when y/n looks at her bleeding hand, that's when her body catches up to her, reminding her of leehyun, and touching namjoon, being touched by yoongi and seokjin, triggers her ptsd
when she takes a step back and stumbles, someone tries to reach out but she's quick to curtly tell them not to touch her, not to go near her
she walks to a corner, away from the boys, and sits on the floor, keeping to herself, head lowered as she listens to the beat of her heart, counting each one because mingyu tells her that if he's not there when she's afraid, when she's alone and she feels as if she's being crowded in and that she's about to lose it, she should count her heartbeats until he comes
namjoon ordered for someone to call mingyu, and when the second in command arrives, no one says anything, so he approaches y/n and tells her that it's him, that he's here
she nuzzles into the warmth of his palm and tells him to take her home. only after watching their vehicle disappear does namjoon speak again, saying
"She didn’t do it" "There are a lot of things Y/N does but what she does best…" he looks at Hoseok, "is lie." "Even back then she was the same. That part of her will never change" "She didn’t kill Jungwon," he concludes. "And everything we knew about her…everything we thought we knew…..all of it was a lie."

spare more vesper and fenix facts pleaaasee 🤲🏼
Tumblr media
i love both of you SO MUCH. thank you for making me talk about these two. i'm going to answer the asks together since i'll be touching the same themes mostly mwah
I'll start by saying that yes, they broke up. They spent something like 2 years together as an “official” couple but ultimately broke up over the fact that...basically Fenix never being there. He would simply disappear for days, weeks even without saying a word, he’s a mercenary so sometimes he would just go get jobs done but other times he would be god knows where doing no one knows what. That’s what put a strain on their relationship: Vesper wanted someone to be there for her, during good and bad times, and he would simply..not be there (he also has...not the easiest personality to deal with). Like she would wake up one morning and see he’s gone and she doesn’t know where he went and when he’s gonna come back. She’s been alone since age 14 when her father died, she just wished to have someone with her finally. On the other hand Fenix never knew what having a stable home feels like, always going back to the same place and so on. He never learned how to live that kind of life. Funny (or sad?) thing is that they didn’t have a very dramatic end: Vesper had to choose to break off the relationship by herself, too tired of his treatment she just had to come to terms with the breaking up on her own, she had no way to contact him nor she knew where he was. Fenix came back after like 3 weeks to an empty home and he knew he was done for with her.
Now Vesper thought she was done dealing with him forever, during the times they are apart she meets her brother (who she never got to meet since her mother left her and her father when Daniel wasn’t even born) and they start living together as a family. THAT’S when Fenix suddenly shows up to their door asking help from Vesper because he fucked up something big with the wrong people and needed a hand to fix it. At first she refuses and sends him away but she cares about him, she’s upset about it but she’s not able to stay away from him so she decides to help (and they manage to get Fenix out of trouble for a while)
After that Fenix starts to hang out more and more around her and Daniel, at first she’s fighting it, “what are you doing here now” she would say but slowly it became almost natural to have him around (when he decided to show up)
So basically they are living all together like a divorced couple hkjfhjs and ofc Vesper and Fenix would have their moments from time to time: an unxpected gentle embrace, a very strong tension followed by a kiss, a night spent together that “it’s never gonna happen again”. It’s the memory of the old times, the few moments when everything was perfect
This is also the phase that is my delight to write because it’s either Fenix being jealous, Vesper trying to fight the subtle feelings for him (and cursing herself when she can’t), both of them fighting each other over little things and Fenix being his damn charming self
Vesper also has a kind of relationship with Rogue during game events and Fenix is basically always there trying to get between them and antagonizing Rogue until Vesper has to put him back in his place
The thing that has me so irremediabily lost with them is that...it’s like they attract each other whenever they are in the same room? Or even when far apart. There’s always something that brings them back together, like destiny. Which takes me to what my main point of the story with them and Daniel is: family. We have Vesper and Daniel, brothers separeted before even meeting each other by their own parents and that are trying to catch up on all the time they lost together, all the things they couldn’t do together, and then we have Fenix, someone that never had a family, doesn’t even know what “family” means, someone who was betrayed by his own blood twice (his parents abandoning him and his brother when he was 4 and his brother shooting at him and leaving him nearly dying). I think they all found family after a long journey of never having one and i’m just so emotional about it AAAA
Also to focus mainly on ves/fenix bc that’s the main thing here: truth is that Vesper loves staying with him so damn much that she can’t help being sad and upset that he’s so elusive. She would observe him being like a big brother to Daniel, a best friend, and she would wish for him to stay there forever. Fenix looks at her and he sees the first person he knows he can trust, home is a person to him and that’s Vesper. Family is staying with Vesper and Daniel. LIKE the fact he always comes back to her, for help or for simply gravitating around her world. HE JUST WANTS TO BE THERE but he never experienced a feeling so strong to be part of something, to be loved, he can only run away from it!!
I’ll give a little spoiler but i’m maaaybe developing his story on the road of healing, or even better: learning in this case. Might even have a second chance with Vesper? Can’t say anything more, we will  see ;))
Like one point i like to analyze with Fenix is that you don’t always change for the better because of love/a loved one. Sometimes people...stay the way they are and can’t change, that’s life. Doesn’t mean he can’t learn tho. His personality is still.....a whole mess to deal with but i think he might deserve to go through the process of learning something that his own parents had to teach him: what family means.
also just to end on a funny note: Vesper was and still is the one in the relationship that goes “excuse me, he asked for no pickles” with Fenix <33

um thats kinda fvcked up if you think about it (im talking about oc acting like she’s this innocent person who had no choice when a)she had and b) could’ve told her husband to have another solution or idk that they should escape lol i can’t think of another reason rn but still i hope you get what i mean) i feel like she‘s 45% right (bc cmon she’s being pushed in a corner with all of this) but the other 55% she’s wrong because he is right that’s his children he has all the right to see them and be there for them doesn’t matter why he is the father she is kinda the same as him bc how do you lie to your children and deprive them of their real father knowing they‘ll hate you later on for that and your doing that bc of what? guilt? shame? insecurities? that means she’s selfish and doesn’t think about the children first cause children should be priority not the other way around. so yeah i don’t like how she raises her voice or disrespects him thinking she’s doing an amazing job or she’s this intimidating person likeeeeeeeee girrrrrrl weren’t you the one who slept with him orrrrrr did his d!ck accidently slip right in idk she should let us know ….🤭😭💀
thank you regardless for the story you’re really talented and the story is really cool and idk makes me curious about the new chapters (if it has one) 😼💛
I definitely get what you're saying and I did write a drabble talking about some of the things you had mentioned a little bit more as well as a few comments talking about their short lived IVF journey so you can check that out here if you haven't read it already :)
The whole situation is fvcked that's for sure and she ultimately was the one who had the choice to do this or not at the end of the day but ever since Jungkook had first brought it up he had stated that he would keep it a secret and make it seem as though the children were his son's and not his to make their problems "go away".
She does feel a lot of guilt in this situation internally but with Jungkook's pushy nature and the fact that he is choosing to blackmail her as often as he can has really driven her to take all of the pent up stress, frustration and guilt that she has aimed towards herself already and has turned it into outwardly putting all the blame on him.
He in a sense does have some sort of right to see his children but oc was under the impression that their deal would work differently from the way he had propositioned her so there was a lot of miscommunication on both parties since she gave in right away.
It's not like he doesn't see his children because he does, she just doesn't feel comfortable when he comes around without another adult around to act as some sort of buffer.
He had indirectly agreed to the role of their grandfather so he is still given the chance to be in their life and she acknowledges that he is entitled to that so she doesn't deprive them of seeing their father he just doesn't play that father role for them.
He purposefully sends his son on business trips so he can be granted that alone time to see his children in a less restrained environment but again who would want the person who is blackmailing you to come around without supervision to keep him as well as yourself in check.
His marriage with his son's mom has deteriorated into one that is simply there to keep up appearances so Jungkook used to have a mistress but once he had been with oc he gave up on her. So he actively seeks oc out to fulfill those needs.
He's been blackmailing her and holding this over her head since their daughter was two so this has been going on for years. With this yandere concept although it seems like she has fight left in her when it comes to him she gives in way too easily because of the mind games he plays with her when they're alone.
Jungkook disrespects her on a daily basis so I don't think that she should have to take that disrespect without defending herself so although her responses may not be well thought out and ultimately leads back to putting the blame on him his blame and the use of blackmail outweighs her mistakes.
Like you said she has been pushed into a corner and is scared that the house of cards (hehe) that they have built on lies and betrayal will come crashing down if she doesn't do what Jungkook says.
She doesn't want to lose her husband or her children so although this whole situation is fucked she loves them with her whole heart so that's an emotional vulnerability that Jungkook play's like a fiddle.
She knows she's not the mother of the year but she's trying her best given the situation she's gotten herself into. She knows that she's done wrong and continues to do wrong and hurt her family without their knowledge but she's not sure what else she can do.
Given the circumstances she wants to raise them and have them think that her husband is their father and it's fucked but for her children's sake and the want to raise them in a stable, "healthy" household she sees that sticking to the original plan of making them believe that he is their father is for the best.
Their children are still young so it's a concept that they wouldn't understand even if you told it to them so although they might hate her for it (because they will find out when they're a lot older) at least they weren't raised by Jungkook.
I have a drabble coming out later addressing some of these questions so keep an eye out for that I just haven't finished it yet 😅
Thank you so much for taking an interest in it enough to send this! Ahhh thank you for saying I'm talented 😭 I've still got a long way to go but I'm happy that people are taking time out of their day to read it 😭
There are a lot of unanswered questions so who knows, I might have to make a second series 😉

Hiii. Hope you're doing great! Ok so this might sound wierd but what if toman had a friend who sleeps around to get information for them but they don't know about how she does it until emma spills the tea.
𝚜𝚕𝚎𝚎𝚙𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚒𝚗𝚏𝚘.
Tumblr media
(tenjiku version)
genre: hurt/comfort, fluffy ending
word count: 1.8k
warnings: implied underaged sex, toman has platonic relationship with y/n except baji who’s crushing on her
author’s note: i actually got so into writing this request, it’s legit the longest thing i’ve ever written. thank you for sending it in!
Tumblr media
“you can take a shower here, you know?” he suggests, sliding out from the covers and walking over to your figure by the door. his arms wrap around you, his head nestles into your shoulder. “or…we could have a little more fun, then take a shower together?”
“i’ll happily climb back into bed if you’ve got any more intel.” you remind, patting him to let you go. he heaves a dramatic sigh, muttering something along the lines of you being no fun. you give his room a final once over, making sure none of your belongings have been left behind, before you leave.
you’d been conducting “business” like this for a while now; sleeping with members of gangs enemy to toman, in exchange for valuable information. while you weren’t an official member, you were close with mikey and draken, and a good number of the captains and vice captains of each division. you couldn’t fight, but wanted to help the boys however you could. and this was the only solution you could come up with.
save for emma, who’d caught you walking home with a rival gang member and demanded an explanation, nobody knew how you got your information. mikey had questioned it once, but with a quick wave of your hand and a smile, you’d managed to dodge the question.
the cold night air still pricks your skin, despite the fact that you were wearing an oversized black jacket — gifted to you by your most recent customer. you think it would help if you stopped at a convenience store on the way home. with some food to distract you, the cold might not be so bad.
it’s relatively close by; a content sigh leaves your lips as you’re enveloped by the warmth of the building. you take yourself to the snacks aisle, humming softly as you wonder what to get. once you make your decision, you stand on the tips of your toes to get the chocolate bar on the top shelf. that’s when you feel two hands start tickling your hips. you jolt away from the touch, giving up on reaching the chocolate to face the mystery individual.
“did i scare you? didn’t mean to, y/n.” the individual turns out to be takashi mitsuya. he reaches up himself to get your desired snack, handing it to you once he’s got it. you thank him, quietly, to which he smiles.
“what’re you doing out so late? did your mother kick you out again?” he asks, picking out a bunch of snacks as he waits for your reply.
“no,” you say, coupling your answer up with the shake of your head. “i’m just out and about tonight.” he acknowledges your answer with a soft hum of understanding.
“well, wanna come back to mine? the house is empty tonight — parents are working and my sisters are at a sleepover. some of the guys are there too, as well as emma.”
you gladly accept his offer, knowing there would be nothing better to do at home. mitsuya pays for the stupid amount of snacks he purchased, as well as your own. the ones he got were all requested by the boys. parked outside is mitsuya’s ride. he instructs you to hold on tight before speeding off towards his place.
the guys; mikey, draken, hakkai, baji and chifuyu, as well as emma are in the middle of playing cards when you arrive. quick greetings are thrown about before you join in the circle, between baji and emma. mitsuya berates them for continuing the game without him, but ultimately gets over it quickly when they start again, to accommodate both you and him.
now feeling warm, you choose to remove your jacket, placing it down on your lap when you do. emma’s attention is drawn away from the game to you; she raises an eyebrow in question.
“that’s a guy’s jacket, right?” everyone stops playing at the mention of a guy. you narrow your eyes at emma, who does nothing, unfazed.
“yeah, a friend of mine gave it to me.”
“what friend?” baji drops his cards down on the table, now curious about you, and the jacket. hakkai, who’s beside him, doesn’t hesitate to take a peek at his cards.
“does it matter?” you sigh, silently cursing emma for bringing up the topic in the first place.
having found out about what you do recently, emma had yet to wrap her head around it. she’d advised you to stop; the guys, and the rest of toman wouldn’t like what you were doing. you’d (obviously) brushed off her words and continued, which apparently wasn’t going to fly with her.
“it only makes us more curious if you don’t say who.” draken points out. frustration slowly starts to build up.
“none of you even know him. he’s no one.” emma touches your thigh, resulting in you looking at her again. you know what she wants you to do, now that she’s created the opportunity, but you don’t want to. you knew emma was right; nobody would like what you were doing, but it was the only way you could help out.
“they’ll find out eventually.”
“they won’t if you zip it.” you hiss back.
“find out what? y/n, what’s going on?” you glance at mitsuya, who’s sat across the circle. his concern is slowly becoming more and more obvious on his face.
emma and yourself remain silent. she gestures for you to spit it out, but you remain tight lipped. a staring contest ensues between you, neither one of you willing to back down from what you want. she eventually looks away, making her the loser.
“she’s been sleeping with members of other gangs. that’s how she knows secret stuff about our rivals.”
but, emma does what she wants anyway.
a heavy silence befalls the room. you refuse to meet the eyes of any of your friends, favouring casting your gaze downwards to your lap. not looking at all of them doesn’t make it any difference; you can feel the heat that comes with their darkened stares.
chifuyu speaks up first, “is that supposed to be a joke?”
his question sets off mikey, who talks next. “does it sound like one? y/n, what the hell is that about?!” his voice remains even, but he sounds beyond pissed. you take your bottom lip between your teeth, gnawing at it gently.
“why would you do that?” chifuyu continues.
“what’s the problem?” you snap, looking around the room to glare back at all the angry expressions. “i’m helping you guys! if anything, you should be thanking me!”
“what are you, an idiot? you—”
“mikey.” draken places a firm hand on his captain’s shoulder, effectively stopping him from going off. “that’s enough.”
“but she’s-”
“i know.” he too, sounds mad. your frustration starts boiling over, resulting in tears welling up. mitsuya’s jaw slackens immediately, his pissed expression returns to his previous concern.
“y/n…”
“no, shut up.” you hastily scramble to your feet, jacket in hand. you go out of the living room, into the hall, where you’d left your bag. when you get to the front door, you hear a faint, “i’ve got her.” before somebody follows after you.
baji catches your hand, just before you can get too far. without a word, he takes you back to the house, and sits you down on the steps outside. still trying to hold it together, you chew on your lip harder. his hand comes to the back of your head, and you’re made to lay on his chest. it’s a green light for you to just let it out already. you cling to him tightly as you sob, hard enough that you’re shaking. baji stares off ahead, knowing you’d be embarrassed if he watched your breakdown.
it’s over soon, your violent sobs become quiet sniffs and hiccups. when you’re calm enough to talk, you let him go, wiping your face with the sleeves of your top.
“so, you couldn’t trust your best friend enough to tell him?” there’s no evidence in his tone that suggests he’s accusing you. actually, he looks so calm that nobody would believe that minutes ago, he too had been looking at you with such a dark expression.
“you’d kill me, baji.” you say. baji huffs, clearly not satisfied with your answer. although, you’re sure any answer you gave would be dissatisfactory.
“yeah? then how are you still breathing?” you roll your eyes at that.
“you all just don’t get it. i can’t fight alongside you, i’m useless at that. so this is the least i can do! i’m trying to help you.”
baji remains quiet for a bit, as if trying to come up with the right thing to say.
“you’re such an idiot.” and if that had been his plan, he’d failed miserably. you nudge him, hard. “you are.” he insists. “y/n, you’re the biggest idiot i’ve ever known.”
tired of being insulted, you open your mouth, ready to fire something back at him. baji doesn’t give you the chance to; shifting closer, he leans his forehead against yours, taking away any thoughts or desires to say anything nasty. your eyes flicker up to meet his.
“you’re the one who doesn’t get it. we all got mad because we care. it’s shit, knowing that you were using your body like that just for us. we didn’t even realise.”
“baji, i—”
“i’m talking, you’re listening.” he interrupts. “helpful or not — which you are, even if you don’t have any information to give us, we’d rather you be safe than anything else. you’re fucking family, y/n. and we all love you, just like a real family would.”
you appreciate the effort he’s making at being serious, but it’s hard not to smile when you catch his eyes lingering on your lips. you lick them, slowly, and his eyes flicker back to yours.
“are you sure that’s all you see me as?” you tease, smile growing wider when the tips of his ears turn red.
“why’re you asking me?” he grumbles, leaning away from you. “i’ll answer that another time, alright?” you nod, basking in the warmth that spreads across your body when he presses a quick kiss to your head. “let’s go back in.”
once in the living room, you can’t even begin to think up anything to say to any of them before you’re tackled into a hug by mikey. you stiffen, but eventually relax into his touch.
“i’m sorry,” you say, offering him a smile. “i didn’t think about how you’d feel about me doing all that.”
mikey pets the top of your head, returning your smile.
“the same goes for me. i didn’t mean to get angry.”
you take turns hugging the rest of your friends, excluding hakkai, who completely avoids your gaze. (mitsuya translates that he’s happy you’re okay).
as per your request, another round of cards is started up. you know there’s no way any of the boys were even close to being done talking about what you’ve been doing behind their backs. but still, as difficult as the conversation will be, you figure it won’t be a total mess; you do have pretty sweet friends.
“you fucking bastard, stop looking at my goddamn cards!”
the sweetest friends.

Power Couple
Corpse Husband x Reader (Female)
Warnings: Swearing
Genre: Fluff, Humor
Summary: Sean, Felix, Dave, and Joel welcome Corpse’s girlfriend to a game of Party Animals. It’s her first time playing and she has to deal with a lot more than just the controls and objectives - her boyfriend being a cute, cuddly sweetheart with ulterior motives to his clinginess.
Requested by @susceptible-but-siriusexual. Thank you so much for your request! Hope I captured what you wanted and how you wanted. Feel free to send any other requests you may have XOXO
It’s been one hell of a day. Had to correct twice as many documents as I was originally supposed to at work; found my car with a flat tire in the parking lot as I was about to go home; argued with my boss over the phone while stuck in a traffic jam. It’s been a rough twelve hours, but it has led me here and that’s what I’d rather think about.
By ‘here’ I mean I’m sitting on the couch in Corpse’s recording room, my computer in my lap, my screen displaying the screen to the game Party Animals. The suggestion was Corpse’s. He immediately picked up on my below par mood and wasted no time finding a solution to bright up the remainder of the day, shadowing the shitty portion of it. I am not what you would call a gamer. Sure I’ve played Among Us with Corpse and his friends a few times. Even that I struggle to do because I’m internally fangirling over all the people in the lobby. Yeah, dating a youtuber doesn’t mean you automatically stop gushing over the many content creators on the platform you’ve been watching for quite some time now. Corpse knows how nervous I get so he’s always near me when we play with Sean, Felix and the other. All he has to do is give me that encouraging smile and wink of his and I’m good to go. Side note: massive props to him for going easy on me in Among Us, getting teasingly called ‘simp’ by his friends in the process.
“You’ll love it.“ He promised me over and over again as the game was downloading on my computer.
“I don’t doubt that, Corpse. But I am going in completely blind and I seriously don’t wanna embarrass myself.“ I mumble a quick ‘nor you‘ under my breath, hoping he doesn’t catch it because I’m in for a pep talk if he does.
To my dismay, he does, “Listen here, you couldn’t embarrass me even if you actively tried to do something outrageous. Most likely scenario, I’d join you in the act.” He ducks in front of the couch so we’re at eye level, his hand coming up to cup my cheek in the sweetest, most comforting gesture ever. “We’ll show em who’s the boss at stealing candy.”
I can’t help but laugh, feeling unable to express just how much this man means to me. Words can’t do the feeling justice.
“Y/N!“
“Y/N!!“
“Corpse Wife has arrived!“
Hearing all the greetings lights a flame in my chest, the warmth spreading all the way to my neck and cheeks. “Hi guys! Missed playing with you!”
“We missed you too!“ Dave, the only one of the gaming gang I’ve actually met in person, replies to me, his words along with all the others’ wrapping around me like a comfort blanket. Despite them knowing I’m a fan of theirs, they’ve always made me feel welcomed, comfortable, nothing less than them.
“You know anything about this game?“ Felix asks me.
I shake my head, almost forgetting he can’t see me, “Corpse told me it’s funny and cute. It sounds like the perfect game for me.”
“Oh no, this is a game of survival. Survival of the fittest!“ Sean shouts excitedly, a bang following his shout I can only assume was him hitting his desk.
“I’d like to think I’m pretty fit.“ I shrug my shoulders, laughing along with the guys.
“This is the only way to find out if you actually are.“ Joel’s voice comes through my headphones in the form of a tease.
Sean mumbles quietly to himself as he’s deciding how to separate us in two teams. “Guys, a little help here. We all suck at this game, it doesn’t really matter who’s in which team.”
“Actually...“ Felix trails off, “Corpse and Y/N are the ultimate power couple in Among Us. Chances are they will be in this as well. So, the only logical move would be to...“
“I’m taking Y/N, you take Corpse.“ Sean declares. “Joel, Dave, who do you guys wanna be with?“
And the game starts. Sean, Joel and I are the Meowfia while Corpse, Felix and Dave are yet to choose a team name. We throw around snarky, cocky comments at each other, taunting the opposite team as we struggle to take the candy to our respective sides of the map.
“Don’t you dare pull that lever, Dave!“ I launch at Dave, knocking his cute avatar away from the lever, buying Joel and Sean some time to steal back the gummy bear Corpse and Felix took from us.
“Y/N! Joel is out! Help me!“ Sean is freaking out now. I ditch Dave’s unconscious body and run to Sean’s aid.
As I’m helping him push it towards out area a member from the opposite team latches onto my avatar, weighing me down and hindering me from doing anything.
“Hug!“ Corpse laughs as he has literally turned into a koala, holding onto my avatar.
“Corpse, you know you are actually supposed to hinder Y/N, not hug her. It’s cute though, don’t get me wrong.“ Felix laughs as him and Sean continue to struggle over the gummy bear.
“Nah, his tactic’s great. I can’t do shit.“ I desperately try and shake him off, “Babe, this is unfair. I can’t even be mad at you!“ I whine, staring to panic now that Dave is back to life and Joel is nowhere to be seen.
The round is won by Felix, Dave and Corpse who, if I might add, didn’t let go of me for the rest of the game.
We switch maps, now every man for himself. We’re on the submarine, recreating the Hunger Games with cute fuzzy animals. The thought passes through my mind, causing me to giggle.
“Y/N, you sound exactly like I’d imagine your avatar to sound. You’re so cute.“ Sean’s avatar circles mine a few times as he laughs.
He’s not wrong, my pale blue puppy is indeed cute. Apparently immortal as well.
“How is Y/N still alive?! Holy shit, her and Corpse really are a power couple.“ Dave shrieks when he sees me pick up the freeze gun. “NOOO!“ He shouts, devastated by the fact I shot him, sending him straight to his death.
“Chill, Dave. It’s all cool. Nothing personal.“ I struggle to hide my laughter, “No hard feelings, right?“
“Of course not, love.“ I can tell he grits the sentence through clenched teeth.
“Aw Dave, you are such an ice guy.“ I giggle, now shooting Joel with the gun.
“Someone take that gun from her!“ Sean cries as him and Felix race up the submarine.
Suddenly, the avatar of my boyfriend again wraps itself around mine. I hadn’t seen him in a while, considering Sean knocked him into the ocean earlier in the round.
“How are you still alive?!“ I try to spin my puppy to get him to let go but he holds on tightly. “Babe, I swear, you are cute and I love you, but this is ridiculous. How and why are you alive?”
“That’s his superpower! He never fucking dies.“ Felix laughs, letting out a yelp when he briefly slips while climbing.
“Immortals!!! Immortals!!!“ Sean breaks out into a song, a song I really like, breaking the restraints I had on my laughter.
“Drop the gun or we’re dying together.“ He says almost seriously. Even though I can only see the back of his head I know he’s grinning.
“A Titanic/Romeo and Juliet mashup? Why not? I can live with dying a double historical death.“ Even though I appear accepting of his offer, I’m still trying to set myself free.
In the end, Sean claims his first win of the game and the rest of us are dead at the bottom of the ocean. Corpse and I did indeed die a Romeo and Juliet/Titanic death, getting everyone in their feels. We make a deal to get together and play again as soon as possible and we all go our separate ways, exiting the Discord call.
*Later that night*
After a dinner consisting of takeout and two thirds of a shitty romantic comedies, Corpse shifts from next to me, starting to get up from the couch. I am surprised to feel jolted out of a half sleep as the room is now completely silent, the TV being turned off.
“Hey where’re you going?“ I ask groggily, rubbing my sleepy eyes.
“I have some editing to do. Don’t worry, I won’t stay up too late.“ He kisses my forehead before grabbing his phone from the coffee table.
Just as he’s about to walk away, I wrap my arms around his legs. He laughs, catching onto what I’m insinuating. His chuckle brings a smile to my face and butterflies in my belly. No matter how long we date for or how much time we spend together, some things never change.
“Payback, huh?“ He asks, the smile audible in the question. I keep my eyes shut but nod, my arms still around his legs. “Alright, you koala. You’re coming with me.”
In his recording room, he settles in his chair placing me in his lap in a way that my legs dangling off to the side, my side leaning against his chest, my face hidden in the crook of his neck. We’re both comfortable, content and relaxed.
I don’t know when exactly it happens, but all my mind has registered is a quiet ‘I love you’ and the soft touch of Corpse’s lips on my temple. I manage to reply with an ‘I love you too’ before my sleepiness consumes me, my body completely relaxing against his, the warmth of his body, his scent, the sound of his breathing making me feel safe and loved: the two feelings I want him to feel with the same intensity when I’m in his arms.
Something tells me he does.

Don’t come for me...
As much as Feyre sometimes is a lame character (IMO) I have to admit there’s something very sad about wanting your sister’s love more than anything and never getting it, even to the point where you don’t even know how to ask for it or where to look. In the whole series, Feyre always mentions Nesta, even more so I think then Elain. There’s so many instances of Feyre yearning for Nesta’s love or having a high opinion of her even with the harshness that she shows. She tells Alis to go across the wall if need be, because her sister will put aside her prejudice and shelter them, because that’s just the person she is. She argues in favor of her with Cassian in ACOMAF, telling him hey she really loves people, she just feels too much and she’s actually very thankful for your promise to protect her people and her family. She argues with Rhys even in ACOWAR at his insulting idea of her sister being unleashed to the city like a rabid beast when at that point they are still relatively new in their relationship. She asks Amren in ACOFAS if she’s seen her sister and is upset when Nesta chooses Amren to confide in instead of her or Elain. At the end of ACOWAR, Feyre is the one who is like stay out her, join this meeting, you’re the guest of honor when Nesta just wants to leave. Feyre is the one who keeps inviting her to many things that Nesta doesn’t want to be involved in.
This is sad in the way, that even though we know Nesta is traumatized, and we know that Feyre should probably be more understanding since she has also went through something traumatic, Feyre is still not completely loved by the one person she probably wants to be loved by the most. Let’s look at the fact that when Feyre mentions Nesta loving people, she always says that Nesta shows love to Elain, from the beginning to the end. Example in ACOFAS, “To say that to me, fine. But to Elain?” Elain is the number 1, the sister that Nesta puts above the rest. That’s the question she asks in the library in ACOWAR, “’Why do you push everyone away but Elain?’ Why have you always pushed me away?”
So, this is why I can understand why Nesta has to be accountable for her mistakes, because she’s made some. I think that’s a big enough reason for Nesta to have to be accountable, because you should never be allowed to make someone feel unloved. The argument of letting Feyre hunt is lame to me, because we all know they were all kids, and the dad should have stepped up in some way. But the fact that Feyre questions whether she’s really loved by her sister, I think is enough to say that Nesta needs to learn something.
Others have made mistakes, for sure, but they don’t have to be accountable for their actions, because they are not the main character of the book and the one person who is, is the one who is hurt by Nesta and not the rest of the characters. I think if they had their own story told, then for sure, accountability. But this book series, is Feyre, and now Cassian and Nesta’s story, so you see where I’m going with this.
So at some point, I understand this idea that Feyre is wrong to send her to Illyria, to deal with Nesta’s trauma like that, to not be more compassionate, yadda yadda, and I don’t fully believe it was her own decision I feel Rhys probably had something to do with that, he was the one who was literally like “perhaps there’s some string to be pulled, webs to be weaved,” or whatever he said in ACOFAS.  And don’t get me wrong, I love Nesta more than any other character in the ACOTAR universe, I just don’t see how you can completely dismiss Nesta’s actions, but at the same time accuse Feyre of villian-y. If Feyre doesn’t have a right to take away someone’s autonomy, then Nesta doesn’t have the right to make someone feel lesser than or unloved as I said before.
And, not to make this longer than it already is lol, in analyzing these characters and their actions, you really get to see how many people care about Nesta. The way she is for the most part. Like Cassian, you can tell he has so many feelings for her, regardless of whether he’s an a**whole sometimes, but she dissed him after they almost died together. Elain, she loves that girl, but she too is dissed. Feyre, read everything I wrote above. Even Amren, who sees her on regular occasion, even considers her a friend until that day they had an argument, which let’s be real was probably about her. And then ultimately her father, who came very late, but who showed he loved her, who said he loved her, who showed unconditional love really to Nesta who wanted to starve, and tried to starve them indirectly, and who used to put his cane far away from this disabled man because she was angry. So, I don’t buy this oh Nesta has nothing to apologize for. I hate apologies written in stories, personally, and Nesta is an action type of person anyway, but I do think that a healing arc that involves Nesta would have to have her be introspective and to really come to know that if people don’t love her, she pushed them away. People don’t have to put up with other people. Realistically, none of us can go through life as if we’ve done no wrong, otherwise there would be no growth, no maturing, no long-lasting relationships. We would suck and it wouldn’t matter if we were angry or harsh or had witty comebacks, we would suck as people because we do not show that we care about other people. So Nesta has to change, because she’s spent four books being like this. She doesn’t have to change completely; she doesn’t have to be Elain or Feyre or Mor or some other chick who’s happy-go-lucky or nice to a fault. Her personality doesn’t have to change. She can still be angry, but proper healing I think for her would mean learning that she must grow and improve, and that she has to take control of her own life, her actions, her past, that part that she played a role in, and everything else that involves her. Of course, people did her wrong, I’m sure people will still do her wrong, but at some point she needs to take back her life and open herself up to love and show people she cares. Because if her M.O. is that actions speak louder than words, her actions right now are saying she hates everyone including herself. And as we know, she’s not an island, as they say and she’s not sociopathic or a narcissist, so she can and should change for the better.
And, I certainly don’t say this to be like “you shouldn’t hate Feyre or the inner circle or Nesta or whoever, or none of them did anything wrong/right.” Hate them if you want, it makes no difference to me. It doesn’t affect me at all. I just think that as long as were analyzing things, we should analyze from all points of view. And I certainly think that ACOFAS is looking less, to me, like a list of sins that the mains are committing against Nesta and more of a web of their own trauma, their own pov’s of the situations, and the current climate of whatever their dealing with at the time. People are messy. Book characters even more so apparently.

REDUX: Roy regaining his vision was the right narrative choice [META]
The idea that Roy should have stayed blind as punishment for his crimes is far too prevalent, and I believe this misses the point of Roy’s journey. Here’s why.
As a preface, I’m going to add a bit of a disclaimer that disability as a punishment is a bit of a sensitive issue, and I don’t subscribe to the mentality that disability is a valid form of punishment (or inherently a punishment altogether). This stems from prior discussion so I think it’s important to set this straight.
In the context of the series, Truth takes away something a person values (most often an ability of some sort) as toll for performing Human Transmutation and seeing past the Gate. The characters often interpret it to be their punishment for committing the ultimate taboo, and readers often interpret it as narrative punishment for hubris. I will be discussing it in that context regardless of my own moral stance. To counter that, though, the series introduced theme that every character who lost an ability gained something unexpected out of their adventures, implying that disability shouldn’t be interpreted as unequivocal punishment.
When viewers say “Roy should have stayed blind”, they are often using disability to punish him. Furthermore, they are using it to punish him for the one crime they did not commit. In fact, he categorically refused to perform Human Transmutation, against great temptation. He did the right thing there. If we take this into account, the narrative would be enacting revenge, not fair retribution, if it left Roy blind because of a misguided sense of karma. This is exactly the sort of revenge Arakawa consistently painted in a negative light.  A clear message this series sends is that an eye for an eye accomplishes nothing, and that the cycle of violence must be broken. Scar is a good example of this. Winry breaking the cycle of violence drives this home. Roy refusing to kill Envy after being so close is the last straw. This series pushes the idea that revenge is fruitless, violence brings more violence, and it expects the viewer to internalize that. Using disability as retribution for an unrelated crime was never to be expected.
Now, Roy has committed acts of true evil. It is not my intention to justify, condone, approve or downplay the Ishvalan genocide (nevermind that there are rarely similar clamors for punishment regarding other war criminals like Riza and Hughes). Arakawa makes it clear Roy and Riza will face justice. That said, whether one as a bystander thinks that they can be forgiven, that is entirely personal, and not the topic of this meta. Arakawa doesn’t condemn the reader for either opinion. I’ll go as far as to say that we’re forced into the role of bystanders. I’ll go a step further in that the viewer’s say is irrelevant altogether - Roy’s actions are powerful because they are not dependent on forgiveness. It’s not something he’s after, not something he believes to be entitled to. He’s doing the right thing for its own sake. That’s all there is to it. He’s not seeking for redemption - at the end of his road, he still expects he’ll be condemned.
An argument can be made that it is perhaps unfair for a man to choose his own path to justice. However, by this point, the Military dictatorship is likely to continue if Roy doesn’t accomplish his goals. If he never makes it that far, his crimes may never be recognized as such. He’s digging his own grave, and doing so with his eyes open (pun intended). I don’t think it can be said this is an easy fate.
I will admit that I’ve seen interesting takes on how a blind Roy could have been given a fitting ending, but in all of these, Roy still finds a way to be of service for the greater good. And thus, in this angle, the permanent loss of his vision has little narrative significance that isn’t achieved by letting him regain his sight (unlike, for example, Edward never recovering his leg and keeping the one Winry made for him to stand on). We got the one moment of Riza being his eyes, which made a great point, but making it permanent would have implications for Riza that I don’t believe would be for the benefit of her journey.
Sure, there’s plenty a blind Roy could do for his country, but there’s no denying this path would make his way forward harder. This is also why I’m so Brotherhood-critical on this subject - Brotherhood glosses over the massive difficulties a blind man in the Military would have to go through to have the amount of power Roy would need for his plans.
The different endings (Manga vs. Brotherhood) give a different take on Roy before accepting the Philosopher’s Stone. I originally wrote this meta based on the manga, but it didn’t occurred to me then that Brotherhood alters these interpretations. The manga shows us a lonely, defeated Roy that doesn’t know how he’ll push forward. Meanwhile, Brotherhood has him surrounded by his trusted ones already determined to act for the betterment of Ishval (and he also asks Marcoh to restore Havoc’s mobility, but that’s mostly irrelevant to the point and meta for another time).
Brotherhood’s fate for Roy is the generally preferred version because it’s so feel-good, but I personally find that Roy being offered a new purpose makes Marcoh’s gesture, and Roy accepting it, all the more powerful. It also gives him a bit more justification in doing so too; if Roy doesn’t know what will become of him, he’ll be more willing to accept to use the Philosopher’s Stone. Either way, the point still stands that him using the Stone is part of a deal.
On that matter, ambiguous morality exists within the FMA-verse and general usage Philosopher’s Stone is the perfect example of this. Often the takeaway is that using the stone is inherently evil, but it really isn’t quite that simple. It’s been used for evil, and the Elric brothers refuse to use it to gain their bodies back, but Alphonse and Hohenheim recognize that these trapped souls have agency and allow them to act for the greater good. This sets precedence for Roy’s decision to be potentially interpreted as a morally sound alternative. Him using the Philosopher’s Stone for the benefit of the reconstruction effort is a pact. He’s vowing to be the voice of the Ishvalans trapped within it. So Roy’s trade-off might be morally ambiguous, as he still derives personal benefit from it, but it’s not devoid of integrity. He’s not being “rewarded” with his sight, but it’s a bargaining chip in a deal that will come at great personal cost.
I think the true power of this moment stems from the fact that we don’t really know what happened next. Arakawa cleverly cuts off this narrative before Roy has to deal with the opinions of those who actually matter - the Ishvalan people. Scar and Miles have their stance, but we don’t know the rest. The implication Arakawa makes with Scar and Miles is that any Ishvalan reconstruction would have to feature Ishvalan voices on the forefront, and for all many of the aspects of their portrayal are a bit questionable (meta for a different time) this is something she got right. In the end, it would be the Ishvalan people’s choice how to deal with Roy’s crimes against them. I respect her narrative choice in not taking this away from them (and by extension, from real-life minorities that have gone through a genocide) by deciding Roy’s punishment/justice should be left for the future.
So that’s where this leaves us. Roy regaining his sight is the narrative refusing to use his blindness as revenge or punishment for a crime he did not commit, instead leaving his fate to be decided by the people he oppressed, and letting him go forward with willingly marching to his own grave. I don’t forgive Roy for the part he took in the Ishvalan genocide and I don’t make excuses for him. The question is, on the grand scheme of things, is it worth for the story to take narrative revenge on him at this point? What are we, the bystanders, accomplishing by enacting punishment on a man that has so clearly changed for the better?

To Be a Chocolatier - Remus Lupin
Young!Remus Lupin x Reader
A/N: This is something I was working on. I hope you all like it. Remember, requests are still open!!! Thank you for all of the support <3
Tumblr media
To Be a Chocolatier
Breakups are fun. Typically they consist of muggle films, ice cream, chocolate, firewhiskey, sad songs, and occasionally some parties. These were all true for you, except, you weren’t as sad as you were letting on. True, you had just been dumped by a decent Ravenclaw, and you had been dating long enough for the “L-word” to spill out of your lips, but that doesn’t mean you were sad. He wasn’t the one. You knew that from the beginning, but he was fun and was comforting to have around. Now, two days after the breakup you sit in the common room with a book in your lap as the fire roars. It was pretty late considering the silence. Typically, it was too hectic for you to get some relaxation, but tonight it’s quiet. Too quiet. That means the infamous Marauders were out doing something.
You flipped through the pages in the chapter, enjoying the warmth that emanated from the fireplace. You were aware of most of your surroundings, however, you didn’t hear the girl step out from her dorm into the common room. She stood by the stairs and quietly observed you, trying to understand you.
“You feeling alright Y/N? I know this breakup is pretty rough, but you should really get some sleep.” It was Lily Evans, a long-time friend, who was too pure to understand the truth of the situation. Lies, especially about love, are a complex concept, and  the clever witch could never understand. So, you play along. She feels like she’s helping, and you don’t get a guilt trip about leading anyone on, although he was the one who broke up with you. And, it was to be with another girl, so who was really leading who?
In the end, you nodded your head and said that you would be up in a minute, and that you just wanted to finish your chapter by the fire. Lily seemed to believe you and went back up to the dorms. A few pages later, you heard the portrait and assumed that the boys were probably returning from whatever mischievous quest they were on. Three of them paid no mind to you as they giggled their way back up to their own dorm. One of the boys, however, caught wind of your presence.
“Y/L/N right?”
“That would be me. You are Lupin, Gryffindor prefect and babysitter to those three,” You said motioning your head up to where the boys just were. He chuckled and nodded.
“I heard what happened with that Ravenclaw kid. I know we don’t know each other well, but are you okay?” He seemed almost uncomfortable with the conversation.
“Yeah I’m fine. Things happen I guess. I’ll move on soon enough,” although truth be told I already had. He sat down on the couch next to me.
“What are you reading?” You closed the book with your finger on your current page and showed him the cover. It was a muggle book you picked up from a muggleborn a few weeks back. It was just something you used to pass the time. You both sat next to each other with a comfortable silence. All that could be heard was the crackling fire. Then, you heard a bit of rustling and looked over to see him pull out some chocolate. As he was breaking off a piece for him to eat, you held out your hand to him. He looked at you incredulously. You motioned your hand towards him. Eventually he placed the piece of chocolate into your hand, and you shoved it into your mouth.
“Chocolate cures everything you know,” you said, still savoring the sweet taste.
“Not everything,” he responded bitterly. You glanced over at his features.
“Well, maybe those things that it isn’t curing don’t need to be cured,” you offered.
“Maybe. What about you, are you cured of your breakup yet?” You laughed.
“After that small piece? It’s gonna take more than that my friend.” You began to get up, realizing that it was getting late, and you did have to go to class in the morning. You wished him a goodnight and walked up to your dorm. A small smile glued onto you face the whole way up.
For a few days after this occurrence, you would see Remus around school, and in classes. If you saw that he had chocolate, you would wander over to him with a hand raised, awaiting your prize. Everytime he would chuckle at your child-like attitude and shake his head, but ultimately, you always got what you wanted. The other Marauders were becoming more interested in these interactions. Remus was not someone who was often involved with the girls at Hogwarts, in fact, this was the first real time that they saw something like this from him.
When it came time to go to Hogsmeade, you made your way with Lily by your side. She was complaining about some stunt that James pulled. You knew that she secretly liked him back, but you would never call her out on those feelings, at least not until she was able to realize them herself. You both walked into Honeydukes, where you were scanning the aisles looking for the best sweets.
“So, are we finally going to stop stealing my precious chocolate away from me?” I smiled to myself before I turned to meet his face.
“Well, it just so happens that the cure for a breakup requires a higher dosage of sugar than what you have been offering me. This doesn’t mean you’re off the hook quite yet,” you finished with a smirk.
From afar, four pairs of eyes were watching this encounter. The three boys and Lily were amazed to see what was becoming of their friends. Sirius and James made it their mission to get Remus to ask you out. Peter was along for the ride, since he liked seeing his friend happy. Lily, on the other hand, was skeptical. You were supposed to be recovering from a breakup, so why were you so quick to move on? She knew Remus, and thought he was a pretty decent guy, and she didn’t want him to get hurt by becoming the rebound.
You were unaware of how you were feeling. In your past relationships, there had been a sort of convenience and comfort to not being alone, but none of those boys managed to elicit real emotions. You were giddy for the first time in your life, and it was scary, but also exciting. Everytime you were around Remus, it was like things were falling into place, and you couldn’t have been happier. Remus was also beginning to feel something for you. It seemed as though whenever you were around, he had a smile tattooed on his face. Even if you weren’t around, he could feel his lips start to turn upwards with thoughts about the next time he would see you.
A few nights after the trip to Hogsmeade, you sat in the common room with all four of the marauders. You were over on a chair minding your own business with another book in your hand. Occasionally, you would glance up and peek at Remus. Sometimes, your eyes would meet and you would send him a playful wink. During one of these instances, Sirius and James made the choice that tonight was the night to get you two together.
“Prongs, I think I need help on that transfiguration assignment.”
“Sure Padfoot, let’s do that. Wormtail, we may need you for, uh, moral support.” With that the two schemers dragged their friend up to the dorms leaving you and Remus alone in the common room. He looked up at you and motioned his head to the recently vacant place beside. You put down your book with a playful pout, but smiled as you made your way to him. The next few hours consisted of different conversations about everything and nothing. You were both now laying down on the ground, when you sat up and looked at him.
“If you were a muggle,” you paused.
“If I were a muggle what?” He urged sitting up to face you.
“No. It’s dumb. Forget it.” You went to lay back down but he grabbed you and pulled you up.
“Let me hear it. C’mon, I deal with those three idiots upstairs. Anything you say sounds smart.”
“Okay. If you were a muggle, what would be your dream job, and don’t you dare say a teacher or professor, because that is just plain cheating.” You spit out the last part knowing he would choose the easiest of the options.
“I don’t know. Maybe, uh...He looked around the room and saw a wrapper. How about a chocolate maker?” You laughed obnoxiously at his answer. “What? It’s not that funny,” he replied sheepishly.
“Oh, Mr. Moony, to be a chocolatier. What a fitting dream it is.” You continued to laugh at his choice, and eventually he joined in.
Your night together ended in joyous laughter. It was perfect, and you soon found yourself in a place you never thought you would end up.  You were falling hopelessly in love with Remus Lupin, and there was no you were coming back.
The next morning, you had slept in. You didn’t mean to, but your dreams were filled with Remus and you just couldn’t bring yourself back to reality where you two weren’t together. At breakfast, Lily made her way to the Marauders to talk to Remus about his relationship with you. She wanted the both of you to be happy, but she didn’t want anyone to get hurt in the process.
“Lupin. Can I talk to you for a minute?” Remus looked at the boys, but eventually got up to talk with Lily.
“You know, Y/N is still dealing with her breakup, and I just can’t help but wonder how you fall into all of this. I mean, they were together for a while, and I’m just worried that she is using you to get over him. I’m sorry.” She finished with a nervous look on her face. Remus’ expression was unreadable. Was he angry at Lily for making such accusations? Was he upset at himself for falling for someone who was using him? He needed time to process so that is what he did.
Later that day, you saw him in the halls with Sirius by his side. You wandered over to him like you had been doing all of this time, but he just shouldered past you and left you confused and alone. Sirius looked as though he was apologetic, but even he didn’t know what was going on. When he asked Remus about it, he was told to “mind his own damn business.” This was a clear sign that Remus was pissed, and no one could figure why.
This occurred for another week. Both you and Remus were feeling the effects of this distance. You two had grown so accustomed to the time you spent together. The smiles and inside jokes were gone and no one knew why, except for Remus and Lily. They boys were annoyed with the sudden irritability of their friend, but they thought it had to do with his furry little problem. Well, the full moon had gone and nothing changed. Remus was still bitter, and no one could stand it anymore.
On the other hand, Lily was seeing what real heartbreak looked on you. Before, you were reserved, but there was nothing that told her that you were really grieving the loss of a relationship. The lack of contact with Remus was taking a toll on you. You were sad all of the time. You hardly smiled anymore, and you lost the spark that made you so incredible. It wasn’t until you started skipping meals to avoid having to look at Remus that she realized that she had made a huge mistake.
One morning, she went to breakfast alone, which concerned Remus because you typically tried to talk to him or the other Marauders in the morning. This time it was different, and he was worried, but more than anything he was angry. He shouldn’t have had this much of an impact on you, especially when this was all your fault. You were the one who was using him to get over your ex. At least that was what he thought. After letting these thoughts get to his head, he made the decision to leave the great hall and take some time to himself in the library.
This was the perfect opportunity for the three boys to get an idea over what happened from Lily. She told them everything, including how she thinks that she made a huge mistake. Sirius and James started plotting different ways to get the two together, but Lily knew that she just needed to come clean to her friend and pray that you would forgive her in the end.
Later that day, you were in bed contemplating which sweets to eat, hoping that they would end the emptiness you felt inside. You couldn’t bring yourself to eat any of the chocolate you had bought prior to the silent treatment you were receiving from the boy that made your heart pound. As you picked up some sugar quills, you heard the door open. When Lily appeared before you, she looked desperate.
“There’s something that I need to tell you, and I just need to start by saying that I am so sorry.” She paused and waited for your reaction.
“Go on then,” you said carefully.
“Well, you see, uh, a little while ago, I um, had a chat with Remus. I was trying to look out for the both of you. I may have, just slightly, insinuated that he was your rebound, and that nothing good could come out of whatever you two had going on. Listen Y/N, I am so sorry, and I see now that what I did was wrong, and I know you will never forgive me but-”
“Stop rambling,” you interrupted. “I’m not mad, well I am, but I understand. I was playing up the whole breakup thing before and you were looking out for Remus. I understand where you were coming from, but I just wish you would have talked to me about it before. This thing with Remus is more than anything I’ve had before.” Lily watched you with a small smile. She made a huge mistake in thinking that you didn’t really care for Remus. Here you are, already plotting how to get him back. You never would have done that for anyone else. It was refreshing for Lily to see you growing up and falling in love.
“Lily, you were the one who caused this issue though, so I’m gonna need your help.”
“Whatever you need. I can’t see you mope around the dorm anymore.”
“Good, but this plan may require a bit of flirting with a Potter. Do you think you can handle it?” She laughed.
“I don’t even think I need to flirt to get him to help.” She thought back to this morning and how desperate the boys were to get their friend back up in high spirits.
The rest of the day and the following morning were spent making sure that the plan was perfect. That night, you set everything into motion. You had been waiting by the fire in the common room, just out of sight from anyone who was entering through the portrait hole. Sirius was bringing Remus to the common room, while Peter and Lily managed to keep everyone out of the common room for as long as possible. James was assigned to charming the common room to keep Remus inside for a little while. It wouldn’t last long, but it should be long enough that you two make up.
When you heard two voices enter the common room, you panicked slightly. What if this didn’t work? Had you really lost the only person you’ve ever really fallen for when you did nothing wrong? You were petrified to say the least. When he finally got wind of your presence, he went to rush up to his dorm but James pushed him back.
“You two are going to talk whether you, Mr. I’m-too-stubborn-for-my-own-good, like it or not.” With that, the two pranksters left you two alone. Remus looked at you with a look that you could only define as that of betrayal.
“You know, I lied that night when you gave me that piece of chocolate.” He looked at you with confusion written in his features. “I was cured of my breakup long before you showed up. I didn’t understand what heartbreak felt like until you stopped talking to me. I’m not trying to make you feel guilty, you weren’t aware of the truth. Don’t get mad at Lily either. She wasn’t aware either. Listen, from what I hear from the boys, you have been pretty insufferable lately, and I know that it’s my fault but I think I found a way to fix it.”
Remus watched you carefully as you walked towards him. You held out your hand to him, and in it was some chocolate. His eyes trailed up to yours where you held a hopeful smirk.
“Chocolate cures everything, and right now, I need you to be cured so you can see just how much you mean to me Remus. You were never the rebound. You’re so much more than that to me, and I don’t want to spend another day of my life without you there with me.”
He silently grabbed the chocolate and began to unwrap it. He stopped and looked up at you with a mischievous grin.
“It’s melted, my dear.” You looked at the item in his hand and facepalmed.
“I’m so sorry Remus, I was waiting for you by the fire, and well, chocolate and heat don’t really mix all that well. I thought this was going to be romantic.” You felt so stupid. How could you mess up the easiest part of the plan?
He scooped up a small bit on his finger and sucked on it. “It’s still delicious.”
You looked up and grabbed some as well just as he had done before.
“Darling,” he began, “you’ve got a little something on your lip.” You smiled.
“So do you,” you said before closing the gap between the two of you. When your lips met, it was heavenly. The combined taste of chocolate and Remus sent you to another realm. You brought your hand to his face, unaware of the chocolate that was still on your fingers. When he finally pulled away, you saw the mess you had made. Small giggles spewed from your mouth, and they soon turned into large laughs.
“Mr. Moony, you really are taking this whole chocolatier thing too far,” you managed to get out between laughs. He brought his hand up and felt the residue of his sweet gift. He looked at your face, completely guilt-free, and down at the bar of melted chocolate. He smiled and sneakily swiped a few of his fingers into the chocolate. He waltzed over to you as you tried to calm your breathing after your giggle fit.
“Well, I think it’s about time that you become Mrs. Chocolatier. Don’t you think?” He dragged his fingers down your cheeks and across your lips, as your face contorted into that of pure surprise.
“Wow, you really do look the part now. Oh, to be a chocolatier Ms.Y/L/N.” He brought you in for another sweet kiss. But was interrupted by the sound of gagging from Sirius and James.
“We leave you alone for a couple of minutes and this is what you two do? Look at this mess. And to think Moony, you call us children.” You and Remus just giggled at the small ranting from Sirius before he pulled you in for another kiss.

Devil Judge - Episode 5 (i’m not okay)
Right! So review timeeeee this is a long one lol
I love the opening. Facts
Tumblr media
This man clearly carries a lot of burden but he loves his brother so much.
Watching the first part made me wonder if they are trying to make the viewers think if he really killed his brother and is guilty, hence the nightmares of his dead brother standing in the middle of his room, or is it because he feels guilty that he was only able to save Elijah and himself… either way they kinda show us that there is guilt somewhere in him.
When Elijah comes to his room she says about him not waking up like that before, could mean that Ga On’s presence is worsening his guilty conscious, or from my perspective, i just think that 10 years worth of forcibly trampled down trauma is threatening to explode.
Devil judge or not, no one can control that amount of severe trauma for long.
Next point! Kim Ga On is so sweet with a kind heart, he initially joined the court to spy on Yohan but just based on him clawing open unhealed wounds, he feels so deeply for Yohan to the point he is willing to quit the bench just so Yohan doesn’t have to look at him and see his brother’s face every time.
He tries to relate to Yohan on an emotional level that they both feel due to losing their loved ones. But a few things that I noticed is that when Yohan says,
“I certainly don’t want to hear that from someone that looks like him”
Again, being called the devil judge or not, but having someone who shares the same face as his brother accusing him of killing the said brother has to hurt deep down.
2. “I wonder how much you’ve discovered”
To me, i think that Yohan knew from the beginning that Ga On was looking into him, and yet he has Ga On in a place where Bambi himself admits to it.
3. “I don’t remember asking you to understand me”
I feel like he is intentionally pretending to push Ga On away because he knows that Bambi will do the exact opposite. It is literally in Ga On’s blood to always try and sympathise with anyone who has any sort of emotional baggage. He knows he can lure Ga On more towards him if he pushed the right buttons.
One part that stuck to me the most is when Ga On says
“hunters mask their scent completely, until the time is right”
Could it be foreshadowing?
It could hint towards him fooling Ga On to believing him until it is too late for Bambi to realise because well, Ga On falls for any heartbreaking story.
But at the same time it is also similar to the way Yohan is so close with the rich socialites to win their trust until the time is right for him to finally reveal that he is in fact a hunter and they’ve been his prey all along.
When Ga On leaves Yohan says that “it’s weird because I’ve never experienced that before”
That, being another human being connecting to him on such a deep emotional level and that’s something he hasn’t felt for almost ten years.
The way he talks about Ga On relating to him with an expression of awe makes me think that it could also be a fact as to why Yohan has this obsession with Ga On.
The minister’s interview was a clever way to show the people that despite being a mother she is a person who has her duty towards the country as a priority but also wanting to make the public question Yohan’s morals.
Please look at his fond little smile,
Tumblr media
it’s a genuine reaction to Ga On tricking him into eating proper food by mentioning wrinkles and his age 💀 but also, signs to say that the little annoying pest is growing on him.
The scene with Ga On and Soo Hyun, they talk about the fire and there’s one line that Soo hyun says,
“The list of attendees to the ceremony was covered up, that’s not something Kang Yohan could’ve done 10 years ago. That takes controlling the press and prosecution”
A clear indication that someone who held power over both media and the prosecution was involved in the accident.
Everything Ga On has seen so far after he joined the live show has terrorised him so much but he is still worried about Soo Hyun because he has seen things that she hasn’t.. even when she’s a cop.. even when the reason she became a cop in the first place is because she want to help him and to keep him out of trouble.
Their bond is so pure and cute.
THE TRIAL
The beginning was so cute with the sweetest welcome back to Ga On and then there’s Yohan giving him a fond smile as if Ga On was actually on death’s doorstep and not snooping around his house arguing with a nanny about not being sleeping beauty..
Tumblr media
The case was a set up from the get go. It was just a trap from the beginning to push Yohan to a corner.
They wanted him to have no where to turn to when prosecution suggested “physical castration” (gross) because if he gave into the requested sentence,
they would very easily twist it into making him look like a sadistic monster and if he didn’t give in and went with the 20 years of prison time requested by the defendant,
that would make him look like just another person who doesn’t bother with taking people’ opinion into consideration. Which would make his own statements from the first episode wildly contradicting to what he went with.
Even the stupid lawyer tries so hard to push him to this corner by repeating “this is what the majority wants” but Kang Yohan is definitely smarter than they give him credit for because he puts the pieces together as soon as Jung Sun Ah sets foot inside the court room.
I love that Ga On as a judge as come to a point where he genuinely relied on Yohan as to what they were going to do instead of directly challenging his authority like he had done in the first case. Another sign that Ga On is starting to trust his boss.
Jung Sun Ah thinks! That she has him helpless but then this man turns the whole game upside down. (Even here, it’s really just a game in the name of justice, it is a power play between two sides)
If the minister and Jung Sun Ah thought they were a step ahead of Yohan, he definitely proved that he is ten steps ahead of them when he gave that sentence.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I completely adore the trust Ga On and Jin Joo has on their boss. Especially the way Ga On shares a real relieved smile with Jin Joo and the way he looks so relieved that things weren’t going to be as bad as he thought.
Tumblr media
Teen Ga On was definitely a delinquent. The sight is just ✨
Tumblr media
Another important point is that just when he learns to trust his boss, now he is struggling,
Because from one side there’s Kang Yohan asking him is he’s going to stand by him or stand against him,
And on the other hand there’s the Chief Justice asking him to choose between being an accomplice or an informant.
They’re both essentially asking him to pick a side and it looks like they’re pulling him back and forth between themselves. He’s struggling because as much as he wants to stand by Yohan, he can see that Yohan’s approach to justice is being adapted by the public,
For an example when those three kids were playing, it gives him a notion that the barbaric flogging system is now being used as a playing method by kids.. kids. It genuinely seemed to scare him that the way those kids were laughing and smiling while playfully hitting the small boy.
Tumblr media
Kim Ga On is shown as this impulsive, level headed judge with a black and white sense of Justice but he too carries a lot of pain and burden similar to Yohan. But in his case, he’s being put on the spot between the two sides, eventually it will be him who has to face the consequences if he chooses the wrong side.
And being on the wrong side of Kang Yohan doesn’t really seem to be the smartest thing at the moment.
Going back to Kang Yohan and Kim Ga On, i like the way Bambi calls Yohan out for implying that being a monster is better than being a victim when he’s not brave enough to face his own pain.
That genuine shock on Yohan’s face is enough to show that Kim Ga On is really out there pulling out this man’s traumas one by one like he’s pulling out grass from the ground.
Tumblr media
Again it shows how much Yohan is suffering inside because ultimately, that mansion is just a giant nightmare for him.
Tumblr media
JUNG SUN AH/KANG YOHAN
first of all.
CONSENT!
i felt bad for Yohan.
But Jung Sun Ah is really obsessed with him to the point she jumped from the second floor just because he said he to, when Yohan came to a place of power, she worked herself to her own place of power. Her obsession with him runs too deep.
Tomorrow’s episode is already making me nervous because i feel like Jung Sun Ah is going to use Soo Hyun to drive a wedge between Yohan and Ga On.
If he did his homework on Ga On. I’m sure she has done hers as well.
More or less, Episode 5 was like the calm before the storm.
Unsurprisingly, i hate storms.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for listening to me ranting.
