Beach Getaway- O. Piastri
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oscar Piastri x fem reader!
In which your boyfriend can’t take your little bikinis and constant teasing much longer
Warnings?; SMUT, some sub! Oscar, dom!reader, kissing, oral(f receiving), fingering(f receiving), unprotected sex(use protection), cursing, teasing, bratty Oscar, praising, pet names, porn with a plot
Sorry for any errors, also part of my 1k celly:)
The Australian boy wasn’t sure how much longer he could take you parading around in your little bikini. The two of you were staying in a private Villa far from anyone and any land, only accessible by boat.
After your Grease vacation last year and getting paparazzi pictures taken non stop you’d chose somewhere far off from any people, and while Oscar was enjoying the privacy he wasn’t expecting you to constantly wear the littlest bit of clothing possible.
If you two didn’t have plans to go into town you’d been either wearing Oscar’s shirt or one of your bikinis and today it just so happened to be that tiny white one.
He was in the water below your villa while you were laid out on one of the chairs tanning, your body was glistening in the sun thanks to your tanning oil and from your position on your stomach Oscar had a perfect view of your plump ass.
“Oscar” you groaned when you felt the sun that had been shining on your body disappear and cool droplets of water hit your back.
His beamed down at you as you flipped over to lay on your back, “hi baby” he smiled as he leaned down and placed a sweet kiss upon your lips.
“Wanna lay with me?” You questioned as you noticed the small look of need in his eyes.
“Yes please” he blushed.
You moved up a bit to make room for the tall boy to lay between your legs with his head resting on your boobs. It was sweet and relaxing for a while, your hands running through his hair and nails lightly running along the skin of his back. It was innocent until you felt light kisses against the top of your left breast.
“Oscar” you warned lightly.
“M’ not doing anything, just giving you kisses” he whined into your skin, you gave his hair a small tug to notify him to drop the attitude, and he did.
His lips stayed still for a good bit longer until you heard a small whine escape his throat and his lips start a trail of kisses on your chest.
“Oscar what did I say? Don’t be a brat” you warned the boy again.
“But baby I can’t take it anymore! We’ve been here a week and I’ve been good. I haven’t tried to fuck you no matter how bad I’ve wanted to” he cried out sitting up on his knees to look at you.
“You’ve been a good boy Osc, don’t start being a brat now” you scolded, you knew what you’d been doing to the poor boy but what he didn’t know was the surprise you had organized for tomorrow night where you’d finally let him take the lead and be on top.
He didn’t reply just got up with a groan and jumped back in the water below you. You couldn’t help but laugh at his slight brattiness, while Oscar was known for being calm and collected things were very different when it came to sex.
The boy was often impatient and wanted to get things done quickly which is why you were the dom in the bedroom. Oscar took care of you outside of the bedroom, making sure you ate correctly, got enough sleep, had anything and everything you needed, but in the bedroom you made sure he came so hard that he cried.
You didn’t mind his distance for the rest of the day, you could see his hard on through his shorts and you felt bad as he whined when the comforter brushed against it as he climbed into bed that night.
Part of you wanted to give to give in and fuck him right then and there, especially since you knew he had taken a cold shower in attempt to get his hard on to go away but it was no use as when he returned from his shower he found you laid on on the bed with his shirt hardly covering your bare ass.
You woke him up the next morning with kisses along his chest as your nails traced along his waistband.
“Mm, don’t tease please” he mumbled as he opened his sleepy eyes.
He was met with a smirk as he looked down at you, “I have plans for us tonight” you smiled.
“What kind of plans?” He hastily asked, voice full of hope and desperation.
“Dinner at six and then a surprise” you smiled sweetly.
“What kind of surprise?” He pried.
“It’s a surprise for a reason Ozzy, now get your trunks on I wanna go swimming” you beamed as left a peck on his nose.
You two spent the day in the water, snacking on fruits and a nice lunch before returning into the beautiful clear water.
You both retreated back inside the house at four-thirty to shower and begin to get ready for dinner, you had a chef boat out to your small villa to make Oscar’s favorite with a few desserts
You two found your ways to the small kitchen at six, Oscar was dressed in a nice white shirt and khaki shorts while you sported his favorite white sun dress.
The table was set and the island held a few other treats for later, you saw the chefs boat heading off in the distance as you both took your seats.
“God this is delicious” Oscar moaned and you found yourself clenching your thighs at the sound. Despite it being your idea to tease and deny Oscar you were suffering a bit yourself.
You’d spent a week at home with his family before this and before that you two had been apart due to races and work, meaning you two hadn’t had proper sex in about a month and a half.
Once dinner was finished you and Oscar stood in the kitchen, him doing dishes while you stood against the island watching him.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer” he giggled, feeling your eyes bore into his back.
“Oh trust me I have plenty” you retorted as you pressed yourself against his back, your arms wrapping around his waist.
Oscar smiled at the feeling of your warm body pressed against his-until he felt your fingers teasing the button of his shorts.
“Baby I can’t take anymore teasing” he whined, cutting the water and turning to face you.
“Don’t have to” you smirked, pressing a kiss to his jaw.
“Want you to fuck me tonight Osc, you can do whatever you want”
“Wha-really?” He asked looking down at you with wide eyes.
“Yes baby, you’ve been so good the last few months and especially this week, you deserve it”
The boy didn’t reply, instead he pressed his lips against yours and picked you up by your thighs. The kiss was dirty and desperate, tongues attacking each others and breathy whimpers escaping both of you.
“The bed” you breathlessly spoke as you pulled away from his mouth.
Oscar made his was to the bedroom, dropping you down onto the soft mattress before he dove down, attacking your neck with his lips. He left light nips along the column of your throat, he hands running under your dress to trace over your panties.
Pulling back the boy looked down to find your papaya colored panties soaked with your arousal, “So wet baby” he groaned as he pulled your panties off, tossing them somewhere in the room.
He laid himself between your thighs, leaving kisses along the insides. He smirked at the whines escaping from you, usually it was him in you position. Pathetic whines and whimpers leaving his throat as you teased the sensitive skin around his hard cock, but not tonight.
“Want me to eat you out? Gotta beg for it first” he teased, throwing the words you’d used countless times on him back at you.
“Fuck, Osc please-wanna feel your mouth on me” you begged the Aussie.
“Mm, I’m not sure baby. You were a bit mean this week, gonna have to do better than that” he tutted as his lips trailed dangerously close to where you needed him most.
“Please Oscar, I’m so sorry for teasing you all week. Just wanted tonight to be special” you whimpered out as he blew cool air along your dripping folds-breath play-something you’d taught him a few weeks ago.
“I accept your apology baby” he smirked before he dove into your core like a starved man. His lips attached right to your clit, making out with the bud like you’d taught him.
Your moans were pathetic but you didn’t care, Oscar used his mouth in ways you’d never thought possible. Spelling his name out over and over with his tongue before he started to do his racing number.
Your fingers were pulling so hard on the boys hair you were scared you were going to rip it out. “Taste so fucking good” he whined as he pulled back for air, slipping two fingers in to keep you going.
“ah, fuck, so good Ozzy, always so good to me” you praised, knowing just what he was looking for.
He dove back in, fingers splitting you open while his mouth relentlessly sucked and licked at your folds. His nose was nudging your clit while his tongue ran down to join his fingers.
“Gonna-oh shit..I’m gonna cum baby” you cried, feeling the tightness in your belly getting stronger and stronger.
But just as you felt yourself about to tip over the edge of glory-everything stopped.
You shot up on your elbows to look at the dark haired boy who had removed himself from the bed in order to strip his clothes off.
“Sucks doesn’t it?” He smirked but it quickly dropped at your next words.
“Don’t forget who’s really in control here Oscar, I’ll still gladly fuck you stupid”
He offered an apologetic smile before climbing over you, he hooked your legs around his waist as he ran his cock through your folds.
You both released a shared moan at the feeling of him slipping inside of you, “Feels so good” he cried dropping his forehead to rest against your chest.
“Slide all the way in-uh-there you go-good job pretty boy” you instructed, a deep cry escaping Oscar’s throat as he filled you completely.
Oscar started slow, little pathetic thrusts that had sweet little whines coming from his mouth, your sweet nothings and praises encouraging him to speed up.
“So tight” he moaned
“I know you’re doing so good though, M’ so proud of you baby” you moaned as his thumb slipped down to rub your clit.
This wasn’t like your usual teasing and drawn out sex, this was much more intimate and you were loving it.
“Shit Osc, m’ getting close baby” you cried out, feet hooking behind him to draw him even closer.
“Me to, I’m almost there” he replied, thrusts getting erratic and sloppy, the room was now filled with loud skin slapping and pornographic moans unlike the sweet cries that had just filled it.
“I’m cumming, can I come inside? Please” he desperately cried above you.
“Yeah baby, c’mon, cum for me” you told the boy feeling your own orgasm approaching quickly.
“Oh fuck” he whined as he felt the knot in his stomach come undone, his warm cum coming out in ropes, filling you to the brim.
“Shit Oscar, m’ cumming” you cried quickly following right behind the boy.
Oscar fucked you through your orgasm until you were crying and pushing him away, he pulled out looking at you with a smirk.
“What?” You breathlessly questioned looking up at the flushed boy.
“Nothing it’s just I’m usually the one crying from overstimulation, and I can’t lie I like how you look like that” he blushed looking into your fucked out eyes.
“Yeah?”
“Mhm” he smiled as he laid with his head tucked into your neck.
“Did I do good?” He questioned after a few moments of silence.
“So good Osc, that felt amazing” you smiled giving him a sweet kiss.
“It wasn’t to slow? Your pace is usually a lot quicker”
“It was perfect baby, I enjoyed having you so close. Got to hear your pretty little noises as you took care of me.” You smirked
“I’m glad I could be good for you”
“Your always good Oscar, always”

The sun was beginning to set as the plane touched down in Málaga, casting a warm, golden hue over the Spanish coastline. You, Cregan, and Jace had been planning this holiday for months, eager to escape the daily grind and bask in the beauty of the Costa del Sol.
As the three of you stepped out of the airport, the balmy evening air greeted you, a pleasant change from the dreary weather back home. Cregan, ever the planner, had arranged for a rental car, and soon you were driving along the scenic coastal roads toward the villa you had rented.
“Look at that view,” you marveled, gazing out at the shimmering Mediterranean Sea. “It’s even more beautiful than I imagined.”
“Just wait until we get to the villa,” Jace said from the backseat, his excitement palpable. “The photos online looked incredible.”
When you arrived at the villa, it was everything you had hoped for and more. Nestled on a hillside, it offered stunning views of the ocean, with a spacious terrace, a private pool, and elegant, modern interiors. The three of you quickly settled in, eager to start your vacation.
That evening, after a delicious dinner of local tapas and a few glasses of wine, you retired to the terrace to watch the sunset. The sky was ablaze with colors, a breathtaking end to a perfect day.
Cregan leaned on the railing next to you, his eyes on the horizon. “This place is amazing,” he said softly. “I’m so glad we decided to come here.”
“Me too,” you agreed, turning to look at him. The setting sun cast a warm glow on his features, highlighting the lines of his strong jaw and the intensity of his eyes. You felt a flutter in your chest, a mix of excitement and nervousness.
Jace joined you on the other side, his presence adding to the comforting warmth. “It’s perfect,” he said, his voice soft. “Couldn’t have asked for better company either.”
As the last light faded, the atmosphere between the three of you shifted. The air grew thicker, charged with an unspoken tension. Cregan moved closer, his arm brushing against yours, sending a jolt of electricity through you. Jace’s hand gently touched your back, his fingers tracing small circles that sent shivers down your spine.
“I’ve been wanting to do this all day,” Cregan murmured, his voice low and husky.
You swallowed hard, your heart racing. “Do what?”
He turned to face you fully, his gaze locking onto yours. “This,” he said, leaning in slowly.
Your breath hitched as he drew closer, his face inches from yours. The world seemed to fade away, leaving only the three of you in the quiet night. You could feel the heat radiating from both of their bodies, the promise of something more lingering in the air.
Cregan's lips hovered just a whisper away from yours, his breath mingling with your own. Jace's hand slid from your back to your waist, pulling you closer to both of them. The intensity of the moment was almost too much to bear, every nerve in your body alive with anticipation.
Just as Cregan's lips were about to meet yours, Jace's voice broke the silence, his tone deep and filled with longing. “We’ve waited long enough,” he murmured, his lips brushing against your ear, sending a shiver down your spine.
The sudden sound of a door creaking open inside the villa shattered the moment. You all jumped back, the tension hanging in the air as the spell was broken. Cregan's eyes, still dark with desire, met yours, and then flicked to Jace's.
"We should probably check that out," Cregan said, his voice tinged with frustration.
You nodded, feeling a mix of disappointment and relief. "Yeah, we should."
The three of you headed inside, the charged atmosphere lingered, the promise of what could have been hanging in the air.
As you three looked for the source of the noise throughout the house, there was a small noise coming from the kitchen. Meow.
It was a cat, that was the source what scared the living crap out of you. You pointed with your finger at the small creature, looking over at cregan and jace.
“It was a cat” you said with a slight distaste. It had ruined the whole moment. And you didn’t know when it could come again. Stupid cat.
⠀⊹  ˑ  ִ  ֗   ִ  ۫   ˑ
It was a beautiful summer day in at the beach, the sun shining brightly over the golden sands of the beach. You, Cregan, and Jace had decided to enjoy the warm weather and the serene beauty of the Mediterranean coast. The sound of waves crashing against the shore filled the air, mingling with the laughter of children and the distant hum of conversations. Though surprisingly there was no one around.
You had chosen a particularly revealing swimsuit for the occasion, a sleek, form-fitting piece that left little to the imagination. As you emerged from your beach hut, adjusting the straps and smoothing the fabric over your curves, you could feel the eyes of your companions on you. Jace's gaze lingered over your body, and you noticed the way he subtly adjusted himself, trying to hide the growing bulge in his swim trunks. Cregan, standing beside him, chuckled softly at his friend's reaction, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Enjoying the view, Jace?" Cregan teased, nudging him with his elbow.
Jace blushed but didn't look away. "Can you blame me?" he muttered, his voice thick with admiration.
You walked over to them, a playful smile on your lips. "Are you two ready to hit the water?" you asked, your tone light and teasing.
Jace cleared his throat and nodded, his eyes still fixed on you. "Absolutely."
The three of you made your way down to the water's edge, the hot sand shifting beneath your feet. The cool, refreshing waves lapped at your ankles as you stepped into the sea, the water a welcome relief from the heat of the sun.
You waded in deeper, the water rising to your waist, then your chest, until you were fully submerged, only your head and shoulders visible above the surface.
Cregan and Jace joined you, splashing and laughing as they played in the water. The sun glinted off their wet skin, highlighting the strong, lean muscles of their bodies. You couldn't help but admire them, the way they moved with such confidence and ease. As you swam and played, you could feel their eyes on you, a constant, heated presence that sent shivers down your spine despite the warmth of the water.
After a while, you all made your way back to the beach, lying down on the soft towels you had spread out on the sand. The sun beat down on you, warming your skin as you relaxed, feeling the tension melt away from your muscles. Cregan lay beside you, his hand resting casually on your thigh, while Jace stretched out on your other side, his arm draped over his eyes to shield them from the sun.
"How about some dessert?" Cregan suggested after a while, propping himself up on one elbow. "There's an ice cream stand just up the beach."
You nodded eagerly. "That sounds perfect."
The three of you made your way to the ice cream stand, the tantalizing smell of sweet, creamy treats filling the air. You browsed the selection, your eyes lighting up when you spotted your favorite flavor. You ordered a cone, the rich, velvety ice cream swirled high and topped with a cherry.
As you walked back to your spot on the beach, you couldn't help but notice the way Cregan and Jace watched you, their eyes dark with desire. You took a slow, deliberate lick of your ice cream, savoring the taste. The action was innocent enough, but the way you did it, the way your tongue flicked over the creamy surface, made it seem almost provocative.
Cregan's eyes narrowed slightly as he watched you, a predatory gleam in his gaze. You glanced over at Jace, who was staring at you with an intensity that made your heart race. You could feel the tension building between the three of you, a palpable heat that had nothing to do with the sun.
Jace was the first to act, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your neck. His lips were warm and gentle, sending a shiver down your spine. You tilted your head to give him better access, your breath hitching as his kisses grew more passionate. His hands roamed over your body, caressing your skin with a reverence that made you ache for more.
Cregan moved closer, his eyes locked on yours as he knelt in front of you. He began to kiss your thighs, his lips trailing a path of fire over your sensitive skin. You gasped, your hand tangling in his hair as he lifted one of your legs to his shoulder, his mouth working its way higher and higher until he reached the edge of your
The sensation was driving you insane, a delicious blend of pleasure and anticipation that left you trembling.
Cregan's grip tightened on your thigh as he began to lap at your core through the thin fabric, his tongue flicking over your most sensitive spot with expert precision. He hummed in satisfaction, the sound vibrating against your skin and sending waves of pleasure through your body.
Meanwhile, Jace continued his assault on your neck, his teeth grazing your skin as he left love bites in his wake. His hands slid under your swimsuit, teasing and stroking your breasts until you were writhing between the two of them, lost in a sea of sensation.
Cregan's tongue worked its magic, his movements growing more urgent as he felt you getting closer to the edge. He sucked and licked with a ferocity that left you gasping for breath, your fingers digging into his shoulders as you tried to hold on.
The pleasure was overwhelming, a tidal wave that threatened to sweep you away completely.
Jace's kisses became more frantic, his hands roaming over your body with a possessive hunger. He nipped at your earlobe, his breath hot against your skin as he whispered, "Let go, love. We've got you."
And with that, you did. The orgasm hit you like a freight train, your body arching off the sand as waves of pleasure crashed over you. Cregan's tongue never stopped, drawing out every last bit of ecstasy until you were left trembling and spent.
As you came down from your high, Cregan and Jace held you close, their hands soothing and comforting as you caught your breath. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the beach.
The three of you lay there, tangled together in a blissful heap, the sound of the waves lulling you into a state of contentment.
Eventually, you sat up, feeling a bit dazed but incredibly happy. Cregan and Jace helped you to your feet, their hands gentle and protective. You glanced at them, a smile tugging at your lips.
"Best holiday ever," you said, your voice filled with genuine joy.
Cregan chuckled, pulling you into a tight embrace. "I'd have to agree."
Jace grinned, wrapping an arm around your shoulders. "Let's make sure we do this again."
And as the three of you walked back to your beach house, the sun dipping below the horizon, you were anticipating more.

whoa, were going to ibiza! | buddy & monkey: double the trouble - pt. 2
well you guys have spoken and here is the second part as promised.
thanks to @alotofpockets and @lvnleah for helping me out along the way!
Tumblr media
The day after the confrontation in the restaurant that led to you leaving and going back to the villa, the girls had all decided to go out and hire a boat for the day to enjoy the sun in Ibiza.
Despite the fact that you didn’t want to initially come on holiday, you can’t deny that you aren’t enjoying yourself while splashing around in the water with Grace.
“Aye, Monkey?” Grace calls over to get your attention.
“Yo, what’s up, Clinton Cards?” You turn to look at the older girl.
Grace frowns in confusion, "Wha... Anyways, do you wanna try and tip Lessi off her board with me? Are you up for it?" She questions.
You scoff in agreement, "Please, its' like you don't know me at all! Lets' do it!"
Mischievously, the pair of you approach the paddle board where Alesssia is minding her own business while lounging around and enjoying the Ibiza sun.
"Ready?" Grace checks with you.
You nod in agreement, "Ready."
Alessia catches the two of you and eyes you suspiciously, "What're you two up to?" She wonders.
Grace shrugs her shoulders nonchalant, resting her arms on the side of the paddleboard, "Nothing... Ya know, just chilling! Right, Monkey?"
Your grin is mischievous, but mirrors Graces' innocent tone, "Yus, totally just enjoyin' the water, innit." You state.
"Really? I'm not buying that," Alessia narrows her eyebrow and continues to look at the two of you, "You two definitely look like you're planning something."
Grace starts to give you a subtle look, with the silent understanding between you both as you start to move closer towards the blonde, trying to uphold the innocent act.
"Who, us?" Grace asks, fauxing a gasp with her Scouse accent evident, "We wouldn't dream of it."
"You two are up to no good, I can tell," Alessia rolls her eyes, but can't help to suppress a smile.
With a swift and coordinated movement, you and Grace move to both reach to hold onto one side of the paddleboard each.
"Hi Butterfingers!" You grin wickedly at the blonde, "Bye butterfingers!"
Alessia's eyes widen in realisation, "Monkey, no--" Before she can even finish her protests, she's completely thrown off the board.
"Hey!" Alessia yells in a panic, plunging her into the water as she comes up spluttering for water, "You pair, you little-- I knew you were up to no good!"
Both yourself and Grace can't help burst into laughter while Alessia retaliates back by splashing the two of them, before long the three of you start to get involved in a water fight, not long until Ella and Anna decide to join in as well.
"I'm going to get you both back for that!" Alessia states, lunging towards you, while you duck under the water to escape.
"Heeeeeelp me! Heeeeelp! Lessi's gonna kill me!" You squeal, jumping up onto the decking and trying to bolt from the blonde, whos' hot on your tail, "Save me from Butter fingers!"
Overhearing the commotion, Jordan is curious to find out what is going on as she's taken by surprise by you bolting right towards her soaking wet from the water, "What's goin' on?"
"Shes' trying to kill meeeeee!" You screech aloud, doing no more than jumping right onto Jordan who's left in shock at the sudden change of emotions towards her.
The older woman chuckles in amusement, "Enjoyin' yourself, little one?" She questions, glad to see a smile on your face and that you are somewhat happy now.
Freezing at these words, it’s like the simple old familiar nickname made you snap in the sudden realisation that Jordan isn't the person you're supposed to run to at the minute, in fact the older woman is the one that you hold a sense of resentment for.
So with that being said, you scramble up from her lap and walk slowly backwards towards the edge of the deck, "Oh... Uh yeah, uh buh-bye!"
"Monkey... You okay, little one?" Jordan wonders, concerned at your abrupt change of mood.
Grace comes up from behind you and can sense the tension in the air between the two of you, slightly pushing you so you fall back into the water, “Whoops. Didn’t mean to make you slip.” She grins and dives back into the water after you.
"Did we... Did we just have a moment? Was that a breakthrough?" Jordan thinks to herself, trying not to spiral in her own thoughts and get too hopeful about things.
"She'll come round Jord, just give her time," Beth reassures her friend, patting her on the shoulder as she knows she must be finding this difficult.
Tumblr media
"You alright, Jords?" Katie approaches, seeing the way that her best mate looks so upset about things.
Jordan exhales a deep sigh and nods slightly, "I... I guess so mate.”
"It's still gettin' to you, huh?" Katie questions, knowingly as she moves to sit beside her friend.
"Yeah... I mean, I thought we had a breakthrough there," Jordan admits, slumping her shoulders.
Katie hums in agreement, "Oh, I see..."
What neither Jordan or Katie realise is that you have gotten out the water again needing a drink and you end up overhearing the conversation between the two of them and you can’t help but want to listen in.
"I know Beth says to give her time to come around but this resentment hurts,” Jordan admits, hanging her head low as she exhales another sigh, “Especially when it's my own kid that is rejecting me in the way that she is.” She adds.
"She will come around though, Jord,” Katie reassures her friend in a gentle tone, “You just have to keep showing up for her like you are.”
You can’t help but think about the truth behind the words, you really have been so awful to Jordan this whole time, but for what reason?
Thinking about it more, there isn’t a reason.
The woman has been there for you throughout, regardless of the fact that you had been so horrible and tried to push her away. Jordan has always shown up even after she moved– She was still always trying to be there for you.
You were just too stubborn to realise it.
“Jordy,” You approach the two of them as you give them a shy look, “I… I’m sorry. I have been horrible for no reason.”
“That’s my queue to leave you pair to talk,” Katie smiles at her friend, patting Jordan on her shoulder before she stands up, ruffling your hair and walking away to give you both the space to talk.
“You okay, kid?” Jordan begins the conversation noting your apprehension to say anything at the minute, “Do you want to come sit down?” She offers.
You're hesitant to agree but regardless you still move to perch beside her, “Um, I… I wanted to say sorry, uh again.”
“It’s okay kid,” Jordan tells you smiling at you sympathetically, “You don’t need to apologise. I can understand that it has been tough to be here.” She adds.
Shaking your head in disagreement, you need to try and get the words out, “No, no, I do need too… I do need to say sorry cos’ I’ve been completely horrible to you for no reason at all.” You tell her, feeling guilty about the way you’ve been behaving towards her.
The older woman smiles sympathetically, “You had your reasons though, kid.”
“I didn’t have a reason to be so horrible though, I was angry and lashing out… And I miss Le,” You tell her honestly, “All I’ve ever known is you both… and you… you left to go to Aston Villa and I was so upset about that, so I hung onto the idea of resenting you and trying to push you away, but despite me being the way I was, you always came back... " You pause as you peer up to stop the tears escaping your eyes, "You've still always been there, you've shown up when you didn't need too cos' you're my Mama and that's what you do."
You’ve never actually openly called either Jordan or Leah your mums’ apart from when you have been upset or tired, but they are the closest people to that right now, so it feels right to call her that.
Jordan is your Mama, regardless of blood or not.
"Of course I'm always gonna show up for you... little one," Jordan lets' the word slip out of her mouth like an old familiar pattern as you lunge into her arms and wraps your arms around her, "I know things have been hard to handle, but regardless of wherever I am, I will always still love you so much, okay? Nothing about that will ever change!"
"You... You promise?" You start to sob into Jordan's shoulder.
Jordan smiles and holds you tighter in her arms, "I promise, little one. I'm only ever one phone call away, alright? You and Buddy are 2 of the most important people in my life!"
"Love you Jordy," You murmur, resting her head on the older woman's shoulder, “I need at least one fun parent in my life cos’ Le is stricter than ever sometimes. You get high one time and suddenly it’s this huge deal, I totally didn’t deserve to even be grounded!”
Jordan chuckles in amusement and shakes her head, “I can be the fun one as long as you don’t completely push it, eh?” She jokes, ruffling her hair.
“Deal,” You grin satisfied with that answer.
“Oi, you pair!” Beth calls out to break up the conversation from where she is standing, “I hate to interrupt the moment, but we’re heading to the club soon. Better get ready!”
“Yeah we’re comin’ now,” Jordan replies to the blonde, shaking her head, “Way to ruin the moment Beth.” She speaks, loud enough for you both to hear.
You can’t help but giggle in response, “That’s what Beefy does,” You tell her, using the nickname you’d come up with for the blonde woman.
Jordan chuckles in amusement as she shifts you off her lap so she can stand up, “Ready to go, little one?” She asks, looking at you.
“I’m ready to danceeeeee!” You exclaim, jumping up from where you sat so you can go off and get ready to head to the club.
Tumblr media
“Yo this is so sick!” You scream, bouncing around to the live DJ set currently going on, the lights are vibrant and the atmosphere is great.
“Ain’t it just!” Grace shouts back in response.
“Ay kid, you got some moves!” Ella notes, beaming a wide smile as she watches you have a wail of a time with the rest of them.
You’re feeling in a better mood now you’ve made up with Jordan and talked about things, but there was still one person you were still not so keen to be near right now.
Katie,
You’ve been avoiding going near her with the words still sticking in your head.
“Hey, kid,” Speak of the devil, the Irish girl approaches you cautiously, “You and me cool again, now? I didn’t mean to upset you,” She wonders.
You bite your bottom lip anxiously and try to back up, “Yeah well you did.”
“Kid, I’m sorry. Come on…” Katie states, trying to not groan in annoyance at your stubbornness, “You’re not one to hold a grudge, are you?”
Scoffing in disagreement, you look at the brunette, “Really? You clearly don’t know me that well then, Leprechaun.”
“Leprechaun, really?” Katie looks slightly offended with the nickname you had given her.
“Suits yer’ doesn’t it?” You smirk at the older girl.
“Ay, Monkey!” You spin around to look at Alessia who’s shouted over to get your attention, “Come and dance with us!” You're somewhat grateful she’s called you over, at least it’s an attempt to get away from this conversation.
“Sure thing, comin’ now!” Just like that, you head over to the blonde, who’s dancing with Ella and Anna, “Partyyyyy!” You shout, grinning to yourself.
“You’re gonna have to work harder than that, Katie, to get her to forgive you for what she said,” Viv states, watching the engagement between the two of you, “You should know that Monkey’s stubborn when she wants to be.”
“Kids’ stubborn as hell,” Katie grumbles in response.
“Yep,” Beth chuckles in agreement.
Katie watches you dance with some of the girls and she can’t help but feel further guilt about the words that she said as Jordan approaches her and pats her on the back reassuringly, “Just give her some time and she’ll come around,” She repeats the words she had been told earlier on to her best friend.
Despite the remaining tension between you and the Irish woman, you try to forget that by letting yourself enjoy the music and dance with your friends, feeling the weight of the last few days lift off your shoulders as Alessia twirls you around.
“See? Told you that dancing would make you feel better!” The blonde grins as you both dance.
“Yeah, you’re right, Lessi. This is awesome!” Your enjoying yourself and having fun when you feel your phone start to vibrate in your pocket which pulls your attention away when you see who it is, “Oh, hold on. Malfoy’s calling me. I’ll be back!” Trying to find a more quiet area is a bit of a challenge in such a busy place, but you’re keen to be able to talk to her.
“You alright, little one?” Jordan wonders, noting you walk away from the group.
You nod in response, “Yeah, Le’s callin’ me so I’m just gonna go and take it.”
“Alright, don’t wander off too far,” Jordan tells you, ruffling your hair much to your annoyance.
“Jord,” You grumble and attempt to dip under her arm as you swipe to answer, “Ello? New phone, who dis’?” You can’t help but playfully joke with the woman on the other end of the phone.
There's a short gasp on the other side of the phone, “Oh, you’ve been on holiday for a few days and you’ve already forgotten about me?” She jokes, pretending to act hurt, “I see where I stand, Menace.”
“Ha, fooled ya!” You exclaim just as playful, “Ello’ Malfoy! I’m missin’ youuuuu!” You tell her.
“Well you sound like you’re in a good mood,” Leah picks up on your playful mood to be a good sign on the other end of the phone, “I guess that you and Jord are speaking now?” She asks.
“Oh yeah, we’re good! We spoke and stuff, things are like chill now,” You tell the blonde, honestly.
“Really? I’m glad to hear that,” Leah replies on the other end of the phone, “So, you’re enjoying your time away now then?”
“Yep, yep, well I had an argument with Katie, so uh… Things are a bit distant now,” You admit to her, scratching the back of your neck slightly.
“You argued with Katie?” Leah questions, confused, “About what?”
You are a bit apprehensive to tell her what had happened because she can be a bit protective at times, “Oh, well uh, she brought things up from the past.”
“Like what?” Leah asks, curiously.
“Well, she said something along the lines of my mum and dad abandoning me–” You don’t get a chance to finish your sentence before she’s cut you off.
“She did what?!” The blonde shouts aloud in anger.
You wince slightly and pull the phone away to spare your own ears from going deaf, “Le, man. Calm down.”
“She has no right to say those things, no right at all. That is completely out of order for her to say that!” Leah’s off ranting in anger and you can’t get a word in edgeways, “No right at all!”
“Le, it’s fine… Calm down, honestly, it’s fine,” You tell her, trying to get the blonde to cool her temper down ever so slightly, even though you’re definitely not okay still, “You’re more upset about this than I am.” You try and joke to make the situation light.
“Yes, I am mad. I… I  can’t believe she would– How could she say… Why would she say that?” Leah continues to rant down your ear, feeling angry about the whole ordeal, “I hope that Jordan said something to her!” She turns her attention to mention her ex girlfriend.
“Um, I think so?” You tell her, narrowing her eyebrows, “I’m just trying to keep my distance right now.” You admit to the blonde, trying to diffuse the situation.
You can tell Leah is mad right now, probably so mad that she would get in a cab to come and speak with the Irish brunette herself, but that wouldn’t be good for anyone.
You don’t want a fight.
Leah on the other end of the phone probably does, “I’m sorry you had to deal with that, Monkey. I can’t believe she said those things to you!” You can tell that she’s trying to control her emotions, “I swear when I see her– I have a good mind to get in a cab and…”
“I know, but I’m okay, Le. Honestly,” You try and keep the blonde from getting in a cab right there and then, “You don’t need to come here, it’s fine!” You tell her.
There’s a sigh on the other end of the phone, “You’re sure?” She asks.
“Mhm, I’m doin’ alright, I just… I miss you,” You admit to her, honestly.
“I miss you too, my cheeky Monkey,” Leah is quick to reply back in agreement, “It won’t be long until you’re home next week.” She adds.
“And then we can go and buy more Lego?” You wonder, cheekily.
“I don’t know about that now,” The blonde laughs on the other end of the phone, “I’m glad you’re back on good terms with Jord again.”
You hum in agreement, “Yeah, me too.”
“She loves you just as much as she loves Buddy,” Leah tells you, honestly and it makes you smile automatically, “As far as we’re both concerned, you’re our kid, okay?”
“I… Uh, okay,” You’re lost for words, you never know how to respond to words like that.
“Monkey! Are you coming to dance?” You hear Ella shout out to get your attention from where you stand chatting to Leah on the phone.
Whipping your head around, you look over to where the brunette is standing with Alessia, “Be there in a minute, hold on!” You tell before you turn your attention back to the phone call, “Le, I gotta go. I wanna dance!”
“Oh sounds like fun, don’t let me stop you,” Leah let out a laugh on the other side of the phone, “Don’t get falling asleep now.” She teases.
“Seriously? I can’t help it when I’m tired. I gotta go anyway.” You whine in disagreement as you huff as you realise one thing.
You had called Jordan your Mama, but you’re yet to actually call Leah your Mum.
They have both been there for you more than anyone, it doesn’t feel right to call one without the other.
“You know I’m only messing with you,” Leah laughs at her own expense, “Go off and have fun!”
“I will, I will! I’m gonna go now anyways, so buh-bye Mum, love you!” You say without even thinking twice about it.
Leah quietly gasps on the other end of the phone, "I… I love you too, my girl. Have fun!" You hang the phone up on your end none the wiser that on the other end of the phone, the blonde starts sobbing as all her friends rally round to find out what the matter is.
"Le, what's wrong?" Keira questions, concerned.
"Has something happened with Monkey?" Holly chimes in, concerned.
"What's going on?" Alex is concerned with the blonde's tears.
"Monkey just called me mum," Leah states, tearfully smiling as she tells her friends, "My girl just called me mum!"
Tumblr media
The rest of your holiday in Ibiza has been fun and before you knew it, it's soon coming to an end and you're due to fly back to London along with the girls, other than Katie, who is taking another flight to Paris to support Caitlin in the Olympics.
You wish you could go out there and support Kyra, but you have to get back to training.
"Flights' boarding soon, kid,” Jordan pulls you out of your thoughts, standing up in front of you.
You nod briefly and keep your attention to your phone in your hand,  "Okay.”
In your defence, you would be more enthusiastic about it if it wasn’t for the early time that you’re at the airport.
Why is it that every time you fly, all the flights are super early in the morning? It completely sucks waking up early enough to be dragged to an airport.
"Have you thought about who you want to sit beside on the plane?" Jordan questions.
"Nope," You tell her, trying to fight to keep your eyes awake even though you’re incredibly tired.
That’s what sleep deprivation does to you, such fun.
"Well there's still time to decide I guess,” Jordan frowns as she ruffles your hair, which just annoys you but of course you’re too tired to care, “Do you want to go and have a look in the shop and see if there's anything you like in there?"
"Sure,” You agree, shrugging your shoulders and standing up from your seat, “Can I get an energy drink?” You try your luck here, you might be able to get away with it a lot better with Jordan at least.
“Nice try, I know you’re banned from drinking those,” Jordan shakes her head in disagreement, resting her hand on your back as you start to walk towards the shop.
As you walk towards the duty free section in the airport, you overhear the announcement for Katie's flight to Paris.
"Wait, wait," With that, you turn back to bolt over to Katie, who's just about to head to her gate, "Leprechaun, wait!" You shout aloud to stop her from walking any further.
"Wha... Do you have to insist on calling me that, Monkey?" Katie's words are thrown aside as you throw your arms around her in a tight hug, "Uh, what's all this about?"
"I... I don't want you to leave when you think I'm mad at you cos' I'm not anymore...  I forgive you!" You exclaim, peering up to look at her with your arms still wrapped around her.
Katie starts to smile at your words, “You do? Listen kid, I'm sorry for what I said, I didn't think about it properly," She tells you honestly, “I am sorry.” She repeats.
"It's alright," You shrug your shoulders.
Jordan catches up to you both and glances between the two of you, "Everythin' alright here?"
"Yeah, yeah, we're good," You tell her, nodding in agreement.
"Right, I gotta catch my flight or I'm gonna miss it," Katie realises as she hears her flight number get called out again, “You gotta let go, shorty.” She jokes, ruffling your hair.
You're too tired to even care about her messing it up right now, but you had to make sure you spoke to her before she flew to Paris.
"Have a safe flight, mate. Tell Caitlin that we said hi and good luck as well!" Jordan states, enveloping her best friend in a warm hug.
Katie returns the hug and smiles at Jordan, "I will do, thanks mate. I hope you guys have a safe flight back to London as well!" She tells you both, “Stay out of trouble, Monkey.” She jokes.
"Bye, Leprechaun!" You hug the woman tightly again before she heads off to her gate, "Okay, now can we go and check out the lego before we catch our flight?" You wonder.
Jordan chuckles and wraps her arm around your shoulder, "Course we can, that was mature of you to do. I'm proud of you, little one."  She tells you, honestly.
You all but drag Jordan into the shop as soon as you set your eyes on a new lego set, it's one you've been wanting for a while and you're ecstatic to see it there in sight, "Ohhhhhh my gawd!"
If you weren’t awake before then you definitely are now.
Lego is love, lego is life!
Jordan however doesn’t understand your urgency or excitement as you’re rushing towards it, "Wha... Aye, kid. Slow down-- Where are you off?"
"Looky, looky! They have it, they have it. I neeeeeed to get it!" You bounce up and down on your toes and point with your index finger to the lego set in front of you.
"The lego car?" Jordan looks at you gone out.
"Pleaseeeeee, it's not just any lego car. It's the Lego Technic 42160 Audi RS Q e-tron Remote Control Car Toy," You don't care if you sound like a complete nerd, you absolutely do need it, "I need it, I do! I do!"
"You don't say," Jordan chuckles, amused by your knowledge.
You stare at it in complete awe, "I've been wantin' to get this for ages, but mean Malfoy said no last time because I spent all my monthly allowance-- I need to get it so much!" You all but tell her, wanting that right now more than anything.
“Alright then,” Jordan nods as she looks over it, “Well go ahead, pick it up then and we’ll get it.”
You spin your head around to look at her in shock, “Wait, what?” You’re not sure if you heard it right.
“I’ll buy it for you,” Jordan tells you, laughing in amusement at your shocked face.
“You will?!” You stare at her with wide eyes, “No way!” You exclaim in excitement, your inner childlike happiness coming out when it comes to Lego.
“Yeah, it’s my treat,” The older woman agrees with you, glad to see you look so happy once again.
You grin and eagerly pick one up, “"Yeeees, thanks Jordy. I love youuuuuu!"
"I love you too, little one. C'mon let's go and pay for it then," Jordan chuckles, heading over to purchase your new toy which you can't wait to set up the minute that you get home, before you head to meet the rest of the girls.
"Whatcha got there, Monkey?" Ella wonders, spotting you practically running back to them.
"New LEGO! Looky, check it out!" You are excited enough to show it off to anyone who cares.
"Wow, that looks cool!" Vic admires it.
You grin in agreement, "Don't it just?"
"You've gone and spoiled her already? That didn't take long, Jord," Beth jokes with her friend.
"It's just one thing, it's not a big deal," Jordan rolls her eyes and shakes her head, "The kid deserves it, don't she?"
"You're too soft, you know she has an obsession with Lego, right? Leahs' house has more lego house in it than she knows what to do with it,"
"Then I'm sure she'll be thrilled for something else," Jordan remarks, smirking as she takes in the joy on your face with your new remote control car, "Look how happy she looks!" She adds.
"Mhm, I do have to admit that she does seem happy," Beth replies in agreement, "I'm glad you have both made up, Monkey does need you despite how stubborn she is."
"Yeah, yeah, I'm glad we've made up too," Jordan tells her, looking over at you and smiles, "I love that kid so much ever since she came into our lives, it broke my heart for her to be so cold and distant towards me."
Soon enough, your flight is called and of course you board the flight with your new remote control in hand, because you're not in any type of rush to lose it.
And much to Jordan's own surprise, it's her that you sit beside on the plane back to London.
Although she does start to dread it ever so slightly when you yap in her ear the whole time, but despite that, she's just glad you're both on good terms again.

BTS WEDDING SERIES: Honeymoon
Tumblr media
SEOKJIN - LANDAA GIRAAVARU, MALDIVES
If there had been two things you both had wanted to do, it would have been eating and relaxing with a bit of fishing thrown in for Seokjin and privacy for you. It had been hard enough planning a wedding with a public figure but planning a honeymoon where all eyes would be on you if you even stepped outside your hotel room, it boiled down to the fact that it meant only a private island would do.
Yoongi had stolen the idea from you when it came to his wedding but Seokjin being Seokjin, he had done his research and found an island in the Maldives which was home to the luxury Four Seasons resort where all your needs would be catered for.
It had been an extremely long flight from Seoul and then another long trip from the airport to the actual island itself. By the time you even stepped into your hotel room, all you both wanted to do was sleep.
However, you had two weeks of private beaches, Michelin-starred dining, snorkelling, fishing and enjoying a world-class wellness spa.
“It’s going to be hard to go back to Seoul after this,” Seokjin commented as you both sat outside on the terrace, designed to look like you were in Marrakech rather than the Maldives. There were two more nights before you left the most magical place on earth that would soon disappear due to climate change.
“I know, being wined and dined and looked after for two weeks under the sun with nothing to do other than relax,” you sighed as you dined on traditional Arabic food.
“But back to Seoul as husband and wife though.”
Tumblr media
YOONGI - BALI, INDONESIA
When you had sat down with Yoongi, amid all your wedding planning, to discuss the honeymoon there were only a few things he wanted: privacy, a place where the two of you could escape if it all got too much, relaxation and a bit of adventure.
Maldives had been on top of the list but Seokjin had already claimed that (as he helpfully pointed out) but Bali was also another contender. Private villas but still on a resort, waited on hand and foot, but in the traditional setting of Indonesia where you still could go and explore. It would be warm but not too warm.
The presidential villa had been booked within seconds of Yoongi looking at it, with two bedrooms (god knows why but you knew he’d escape into that room if he got too hot), two bathrooms and a huge outdoor lounge with a large heated pool and absolute privacy.
That’s what it had advertised and that’s what you got when you were led to your private village by a member of the resort who unlocked the door for you, handed over the key and left you to it.
“Holy shit,” you whispered as you walked down the steps onto the grass, and admired the pool for a moment but it was the view that took your breath away. Palm trees, jungle, and unbothered trees that swayed in the breeze.
“They even stocked up the mini bar,” Yoongi commented as he joined you on the small lawn, obviously not having seen what had taken your breath away.
“What? What?” he asked, holding up his hands in defence as you excitedly slapped his arm. “Oh.”
The two of you stood there in complete silence, the only sound was the breeze and a bird off in the distance.
“Okay, this was a good choice if I do say so myself.”
Tumblr media
HOSEOK - BARCELONA
It had been pretty easy picking a honeymoon destination - you both had wanted a place filled with history, somewhere warm, somewhere you could do a bit of shopping, somewhere that wasn’t Dubai or Hawaii or Paris. Something different.
Which is how you found yourself stepping off the plane to sunny Barcelona, a private car to take you to your fancy hotel in the middle of the city and the keys to your suite in your hand before you could even think that you were actually on your honeymoon.
“Wow, jagiya, come and take a look at this!”
Hobi’s voice distracted you from where you were unpacking your two large suitcases that contained enough clothes for a month (even though you were only here for two weeks). He stood on the balcony and as you joined him, you could see the famous Passeig de Gracia, one of the major avenues in Barcelona and one of the most expensive ones.
“It has everything we wanted to see,” he carried on about the list you two had made before you had left, detailing everything you wanted to see in Barcelona from the art to the history to the architecture to the fashion. It seemed if not all of it, most of it was one this one particular avenue.
“And the beach is a half an hour walk or a 20-minute train ride as well,” you commented after pulling out your phone to check where on the map in Barcelona you actually were.
“Before we do any sightseeing, let’s go and get something to eat. That flight was too long.”
Tumblr media
NAMJOON - ROME
Of course, it was easy to plan a honeymoon around Namjoon’s interest. There were so many cities and countries to pick from, whether he had been there or not, and it all came down to one place in the end - Rome. It had the history, the art, the galleries, everything the two of you wanted to see while you were on your two-week honeymoon and if you fancied going to the beach, there was a beach which was an hour away.
He had planned a detailed itinerary for the two weeks and had researched everything from the places you wanted to go, to the hotel, to the food, to even the public transport. If there was one thing he had full control over in any aspect of the wedding planning, the honeymoon had been in his hands.
You just had to look after the passports. You weren’t making that mistake again.
You weren’t sure if it was the time difference, the sound of Rome waking up or the fact that Namjoon had woken you up by walking into the door to the bathroom, but you rolled over in the softest bed you had ever laid in and stretched.
Today would be the first full day in Rome and you had VIP passes for the Vatican, Namjoon pulling his BTS card to make sure you get into all the places that the public could very rarely access. You needed to pack a bag with your ID, wallets, sunglasses, sunscreen, your passes and your phone to take plenty of pictures.
But before all that, you could hear Namjoon’s stomach rumble from the bathroom in time with your own stomach reminding you that you hadn’t eaten since the plane.
“Breakfast?” Namjoon asked, poking his head around the doorway with his toothbrush in his mouth.
“Breakfast,” you sighed as you got out of bed and joined him in the bathroom. “Is it too early to eat gelato?”
Tumblr media
JIMIN - CALIFORNIA
How Jimin managed to blag a three-week honeymoon was beyond you. Somehow Jimin managed to pull his charm when he had discussed the details with the rest of the guys as well as the team. But you shouldn’t be surprised when it came to Jimin and his skills, especially when he pulled out the honeymoon of a lifetime out of his bag.
Starting in San Francisco, you’d have three days there to visit the famous sights of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Driving down the coast would be the Big Sur where you’d spend a day enjoying the beach and the small towns that the coast had to offer before arriving in Los Angeles where Jimin had booked a two-day trip to Disneyland.
After Los Angeles, it would be San Diego and then onto the amazing Joshua Tree National Park and then onto the Sequoia National Park and the Yosemite National Park and finally onto the Napa Valley where Jimin had booked a wine tasting experience for you.
And you’d be back in San Francisco to go back to Seoul and reality.
It sounded amazing as you read through the itinerary again and you couldn’t wait to spend every moment with your husband, who was currently fast asleep in his chair with his legs stretched out. The two of you had a late night of packing, getting the last-minute bits and finalising the trip, it had left with you two with two hours of sleep before your alarm had woken you up to get to the airport.
Tucking the papers away into your bag, you slipped your eye mask over your eyes and made yourself comfortable against Jimin’s chest. You’d have access to Jimin 24/7 as husband and wife, so you’d need all the sleep you could get.
Tumblr media
TAEHYUNG - PARIS, FRANCE
The City of Love - glamourised by artists, playwrights, poets and served as the setting for some of the greatest love stories of all time. So it hadn’t come as a surprise when Taehyung had booked a week in Paris for your honeymoon, knowing it had been a city on your bucket list for a long time and Taehyung had never really got to experience it with someone who he loved as much as he did you.
He had planned the week to the detail with visits to Versailles, cocktails at the Hemingway at the Ritz, a private tour of Lourve (because if Beyonce could do it, so you could you) and dinner at some of the most expensive top end restaurants the city had to offer.
There was no need to take any clothes because you’d be spending the first day in Paris buying your wardrobe on his card.
And as you woke up on your second day in Paris, with a wardrobe designed by Celine, and breakfast on the balcony that overlooked the Eiffel Tower and your husband ruffling his fluffy hair as he came out of the bathroom and stumbled through the living area to where you were waiting.
“Happy?” he asked, already pouring the complimentary champagne that came with the breakfast into the crystal glasses.
“We could be in Daegu and I’d still be the happiest person in the world.”
Tumblr media
JUNGKOOK - AUSTRALIA
Jungkook wasn’t afraid to admit that he was a bit of a homeboy. While he loved the fact his career allowed him to go to some amazing places such as the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, South America and even New Zealand - he loved nothing more than being home in South Korea.
So when it came to figuring out where the two of you wanted to go for your honeymoon, the answer had been in front of you the entire time. Jungkook was known for just going with the flow but needed somewhere with adventure and somewhere where he could flex his photography and videography skills. You, on the other hand, didn’t care where you went or what you did.
A road trip was going to be the answer and after many many many weeks of being indecisive, you finally decided Australia was going to be the place. It took a week of planning the route, booking the campervan and the flights and soon you were flying into Darwin, to start your two-week road trip down the spine of Australia’s outback known as the Explorer’s Way.
“It’s been awhile,” Jungkook commented as he loaded up the campervan with the two suitcases and the bags of food you had bought at the local store near to where you got your campervan.
“At least you only have to share the bed with one person,” You laughed as you closed up the doors and settled into the passenger seat, the rough itinerary the two of you had planned in your lap.
“So where to first? Kakadu National Park wasn’t it?” Jungkook asked, already plugging in the name of the park into the navigation.
“Three hours away,” you said as you got your playlist started.
“Let the honeymoon begin!”

Forced Vacation- Part 2
Part 1
Hero stirred to a cool sensation going up and down their arm. They groaned weakly as their eyes fluttered open to a shady umbrella overhead. They felt a soft surface underneath them and heard the lapping of ocean waves nearby. Then they remembered their situation. Hero sat bolt upright, but they were yanked back down.
“Hold it! You’re not going out in the sun until I’m finished!”
Hero’s head jerked to the side.
“Villain!? What the heck are you doing!?”
Villain got another helping of sunscreen out of the bottle and applied it to Hero’s other arm.
“Hooking you up to my doomsday device,” Villain said, “…what does it look like, darling?”
Hero opened their mouth, closed it, opened it again, then closed it fruitlessly. Villain chuckled, then sat them up. They started to apply more of the citrus-scented stuff to Hero’s back.
Hero blinked in confusion. They looked down at their body and saw that their suit had been replaced with swimwear. Their cheeks turned red at the thought of someone undressing them.
“Oh relax,” Villain said, “I didn’t peek.”
That made Hero feel a little bit better, but only a little bit. In a few minutes, Villain was finished. Hero went to stand up again, but Villain stopped them.
“Hero! It has to sink in for at least fifteen minutes!” Villain protested.
Hero huffed, then begrudgingly sat back down. Villain smiled.
“Good,” they said, “I hope you’re not so jumpy because you’re planning on escaping, my dear Hero.”
Hero opened their mouth to speak.
“Because if you were,” Villain continued, “you’d have a pretty hard time getting off this beach, let alone the island. I have security measures everywhere. And I know you don’t plan to swim all the way back to the city; that would be insane even for you.”
Hero scanned the beach. Various henchmen dotted the sand dunes, waiting in case they decided to try something. So they were stuck here.
“How long?” Hero grumbled.
“You still have about thirteen minutes-”
“No.” Hero shook their head, “how long are you keeping me here?”
Villain cracked an annoyingly attractive grin.
“As long as it takes, Hero. As long as it takes.”
That wasn’t an answer! Hero went to say so, but Villain shoved a straw in their mouth.
“Strawberry daquiri,” Villain explained, “go on.”
Hero eyed it suspiciously.
“Virgin- no alcohol.”
Hero still didn’t drink.
“Oh for the love of-” Villain took a small sip from the drink, “-there. Happy?”
Satisfied, Hero started to sip on the daquiri. It was so sweet and refreshing, they relaxed on the spot.
Hero dried their hair with a fluffy towel. The beach had been tolerable. Okay, it had been really fun, but they weren’t about to admit it. They had been escorted to Villain’s fancy villa at the heart of the island and had been left to shower and change. Hero had done both, and was now dressed in a loose, flowy outfit that swished in the breeze.
“Had fun, my little mermaid?” Villain smiled, leaning on the doorframe.
Hero whirled around.
“It was… it wasn’t torture,” Hero conceded.
“I would hope not, considering I had to practically drag you out of the water for lunch.”
Villain had left the beach completely soaked, but not because they had been playing in the water too. Hero may have splashed them a few times… they were completely dry now, though, and wearing a crisp button-up and shorts. Hero giggled thinking about the beach.
“Come on,” Villain nodded to the door, “you’re going to love what Chef made.”
Hero’s urge to fight was fading evermore into the back of their mind. They joined Villain and followed them to the patio where various foods and delicacies waited.

Synopsis: Exhausted by the monotony of his life as a celebrity, Wonwoo makes a pivotal decision to return to his childhood hometown and embark on a heartwarming project: building a small library named 'Healing Hues.' Little does he know, this journey will lead to a series of unexpected and transformative events.

Jeon Wonwoo knew deep down that his decision had been impulsive. Packing his belongings and embarking on the drive to Changwon, all on the heels of securing a two-week vacation leave, was hardly a meticulously planned expedition. But sometimes, life calls for a dash of spontaneity. His destination? None other than his father's villa nestled in the heart of his hometown, Uichang-Gu. The key to this haven of cherished memories was handed over by his father himself, a tacit approval of his quest for respite.
Seoul, the city that famously never slept, had held him captive for too long. It had embraced him, and in return, he had embraced its fast-paced, modern rhythm. But as he cast his gaze upon the bustling streets and the neon glow of the city one last time before his departure, he felt an inexplicable yearning for the simplicity of days gone by. It was a yearning that whispered to his soul, beckoning him to escape the whirlwind and find solace in the embrace of his roots.
The decision to seek refuge in Mujeom-ri, the place where his childhood dreams had been nurtured, was driven by this unshakable yearning. The memories were etched in his mind with vivid strokes, a testament to the beauty and tranquility of that place. Mujeom-ri had been his sanctuary, a place where his spirit could roam free, unburdened by the demands of the modern world. It was a slice of heaven on Earth.
Wonwoo had visited his hometown a few times before his family decided to make the permanent move to Seoul. Those visits had been a lifeline, a chance to escape the chaos and rediscover himself in the simplicity of country life. The six-hour drive from Seoul to Mujeom-ri was hardly a hindrance; it was a journey to a world where the forsythia lined the roads, their golden blooms lighting up the night like a string of stars. It was the charming countryside, the antidote to the urban hustle and bustle.
The clock struck midnight as he finally arrived in Mujeom-ri. He hadn't bothered changing out of the outfit from his last promotional event, a testament to the whirlwind of his recent schedule. Stepping into the villa, he was greeted by a scene of warmth and familiarity. The passage of time hadn't been unkind to this place; it had been meticulously cared for by the people his father had entrusted with its upkeep. These twin villas had once been his family's sanctuary, the backdrop to his childhood adventures, before they were transformed into welcoming havens for guests.
Before surrendering to the allure of sleep, Wonwoo made it a point to notify his father of his safe arrival. The weary traveler then retreated to his bedroom, a sense of nostalgia and excitement mingling within him. He was back in Mujeom-ri, his cherished childhood haven, ready to embrace the memories and tranquility it promised. As he lay in bed, the whispers of the past and the promise of new adventures danced in his dreams, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey of rediscovery.
A heavy sigh of relief escaped from his lips, a cathartic release of tension as he lay down. He closed his eyes, a weary smile tugging at his lips as he surrendered to the embrace of slumber. Tomorrow held the promise of wonderful things, and he was eager to seize them. His plan was simple: to get himself a bike and embark on an enjoyable ride through Dong-eup, leaving behind the bustling life he had known in Seoul. The city's relentless pace had worn him down, but here in Mujeom-ri, his hometown, he hoped to rediscover the simple joys he had left behind.
As he shifted in his bed, on the verge of drifting into dreams, a sudden thud shattered the tranquility of the night, jolting him awake. His body tensed, and his heart raced as he scanned the room with a growing sense of unease. Anxiety crept into his thoughts, and he couldn't ignore the feeling of menace that hung in the air like a dark cloud.
"Who are you?" he inquired with a quiver in his voice, his eyes wide with panic. But there was no response, just an eerie silence that deepened his unease. Without hesitation, he rose from his bed and cautiously made his way out of the room, guided only by the dim moonlight filtering through the curtains.
Another thud echoed, this time from outside the house, urging him to hasten toward the source of the sound. The night seemed to hold its breath, the air heavy with anticipation, as if the universe itself conspired to create an atmosphere of suspense and mystery.
Flinging open the door, he was greeted by an unexpected sight—a woman gracefully jumping down from a two-meter-high fence. His gasp mingled with her startled exclamation as they found themselves face to face in the moonlit night. The dim light failed to reveal her features clearly, and his glasses did little to aid his vision. Fatigue weighed heavily on his eyelids, further obscuring the woman's identity. All he could muster was a question about her sudden arrival, his voice trembling with curiosity and concern.
"I live next door," the woman explained, pointing to the smaller cottage adjacent to his own. Her voice was as soft as a whisper in the night, and her explanation illuminated the reason behind her unconventional entrance. "The gate was locked, and I thought the housekeeper had something to do with it."
Wonwoo couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt; it had been he who had locked the gate, an oversight driven by his fatigue. He nodded in understanding, concern etched on his face as he inquired about her well-being, knowing that her descent from the fence must have been quite a fall. Assured of her safety, he retreated back into his bedroom, ready to bury his thoughts in slumber once more.
*
Wonwoo had never been a morning person. Back when he shared a house with Kim Mingyu, his bandmate, they were notorious for missing their alarms, only rousing from their slumber when their manager intervened. Waking up early was an arduous task for Wonwoo, a self-proclaimed night owl. His brain seemed to function at half-speed in the morning sun. Unless there was a morning schedule requiring his presence, he typically awoke in the afternoon, cherishing his days off and contemplating his erratic sleep patterns.
However, today was different. He found himself stirred from his sleep by the unmistakable crowing of roosters, heralding the arrival of a new day. Wonwoo couldn't recall the last time he had woken up with a smile on his face.
As he embarked on his day, he began by making his bed, a simple task that had become a comforting habit from his time living with Mingyu. Unpacking his belongings, he realized the need to stock up on essentials for his two-week stay. He took note of the absence of a nearby gym, a realization that left him pondering the necessity of one in the villas. The thought of driving nearly an hour to the nearest gym was less than appealing. In his mind, he made a mental note to suggest the idea of installing a home gym to his father.
Wonwoo decided to embrace the morning with a run, clad in his workout attire. A bit of cardio seemed like a good idea to invigorate his senses. After lacing up his running shoes, he embarked on a journey through the village that had nurtured his childhood. Memories blossomed like flowers in his mind as he inhaled deeply, savoring the sights of his hometown. Passing by his old elementary school, he couldn't help but notice the renovations that had taken place over the years. Yet, a single red-painted swing held a sweet memory of his childhood crush and the innocent moments they had shared. A fond chuckle escaped him as he reminisced about those bygone days, wondering where that childhood crush might be now. He encountered an older woman he remembered from his youth, an auntie who used to sell fish in the local market. She stood out with her distinctive presence, her husband and son working as fishermen in another district. The memories of her warm smile flooded back, reminding him of the simpler times.
Wonwoo greeted the woman, and to his surprise, she remembered him and even mentioned his father's name. Her kind offer of breakfast was met with a polite decline, as he wished to continue his exploration of the village. She assured him that her daughter would deliver food later and extended an invitation to her home should he need anything. His stroll led him to the field where he had spent countless hours playing football with his friends. Memories of his cheerful and outgoing childhood self surfaced, leaving him pondering how he had changed over the years.
"Jeon Wonwoo?" a familiar voice called out, breaking him from his reverie.
He turned to find Park Giyong, one of his closest childhood friends from elementary and junior high school, standing before him. Even though they had stayed in touch during his visits to his hometown, it had been nearly five years since they had last met. The loss of contact had been due to Wonwoo misplacing his smartphone, and their reunions were usually in Seoul, where Giyong was pursuing his medical degree at Seoul University. However, since Giyong had returned to Mujeom-ri to establish his own clinic, they had drifted apart. Wonwoo's morning jog suddenly became more enjoyable with Giyong's company.
After an hour of reminiscing about old times, Wonwoo returned to his villa. He planned to enjoy a cup of instant coffee he had purchased from a convenience store earlier and dive into one of the several books he had brought along. As he prepared to settle in for his reading session, a woman entered the lawn, holding a pack of food containers.
"My mother sent me to bring you this," she said, referring to the promised meal.
An overwhelming sense of gratitude washed over Wonwoo at the kindness he had already encountered. He thanked the woman and introduced himself. She confessed that she recognized him from their shared school days and even mentioned that she enjoyed watching his dramas. Sometimes, Wonwoo forgot that he was a celebrity.
He learned that her name was Yeonju and expressed his gratitude once again. Out of friendliness, he invited her to join him for breakfast, but she declined, explaining that she had already eaten and had to work as an elementary school teacher at his former school. Wonwoo bid her farewell, promising to return the empty containers to her mother's house later.
Wonwoo's gaze fixated on the smaller cottage next door, memories of the previous night replaying vividly in his mind. "I locked her outside. I haven't formally apologized," he mused, a weight of regret settling in his chest. His attention shifted to the sumptuous spread before him. Should he share?
A flurry of uncertainties raced through his thoughts. "What if she's already eaten? What if this isn't to her taste?" The questions echoed, filling the room with their unresolved tension.
Summoning a resolute breath, he spoke aloud, a determined whisper, "Just try it, Jeon Wonwoo." The words hung in the air, a silent promise to himself. He rose from his seat, each step towards the neighboring door measured and deliberate.
With a hesitant hand, he knocked, the sound echoing through the quiet air. The weight of his actions settled on his shoulders, a mixture of apprehension and hope coursing through his veins. The seconds that followed seemed to stretch into eternity, a suspended moment of anticipation.
The door creaked open just a crack, revealing a woman with disheveled hair and sleep-heavy eyes. Wonwoo could only catch a glimpse of her sleepy visage. He cleared his throat, his voice still heavy with the remnants of sleep.
"Um, good morning," he began, his words stumbling slightly. "I was wondering if you'd like to have breakfast together? I thought it might be a nice way to make up for last night."
She blinked, struggling to process his words through the fog of sleep. After a moment, she seemed to register his request, and she nodded slowly, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
With that agreement, she gently closed the door, leaving Wonwoo in quiet anticipation. The seconds stretched into minutes, each one feeling like an eternity, until finally, she emerged, transformed. Her hair was now neatly combed, and her attire, though simple, exuded a fresh and lively air.
Wonwoo couldn't help but admire the remarkable change, his own gratitude and admiration evident in the softness of his gaze. They exchanged a tentative smile, a shared understanding of this simple yet profoundly meaningful gesture. Together, they headed towards the table, the air tinged with a newfound sense of camaraderie.
"A grandmother I know sent this, and I thought it would be good to share with a neighbor," he explained, a gentle warmth in his voice, as they both settled into their seats.
"I'm Wonwoo, Jeon Wonwoo," he offered with a friendly smile, extending his hand in introduction.
"Kang Y/n," she replied, her voice a soft whisper, reciprocating the gesture with a polite bow.
"Please, make yourself comfortable," Wonwoo insisted, graciously inviting Y/n to feel at ease.
As they sat across from each other, a delicate dance of courtesy and curiosity filled the air. Wonwoo's gaze lingered on Y/n, captivated by the grace with which she approached her meal. Her movements were deliberate yet unhurried, each bite savored with a quiet appreciation. When she looked up, her perceptive eyes met Wonwoo's, a gentle curiosity in her expression as if she could sense the depth of his observation.
"Is there something on my face?" she asked, her voice carrying a touch of amusement. Her fingers delicately patted her cheeks, checking for any stray crumbs.
Wonwoo couldn't help but chuckle softly, touched by her awareness. "No, nothing at all," he reassured, a warm smile gracing his lips.
"Actually, I was the one who locked the gate last night," Wonwoo confessed as he raised his spoon and dived into his meal.
A faint blush dusted Y/n's cheeks. "Ah, I'm sorry for last night. I lost track of time in library. I must have interrupted your sleep," she said, a hint of regret in her voice.
Wonwoo quickly shook his head. "No, I'm the one who's sorry. I didn't know that someone was occupying the house next door," he explained, his tone earnest.
Y/n hummed in understanding, nodding her head. "I was informed that the owner's son would be joining in a few days. It must be you," she said with a warm smile, reaching for her food.
"It must have been difficult for you... umm... jumping over the fence," Wonwoo added gently, referring to what he had witnessed the night before. Y/n's reaction was immediate, a surprised laugh escaping her lips, only to be followed by a fit of coughing.
Wonwoo, a bit flustered, hurriedly rose and went inside to fetch water. As he stood in his kitchen, he realized he hadn't installed tap water yet. He grabbed the grocery bag he had bought earlier, relieved to find several bottles of mineral water.
Returning to the table, he offered one to Y/n. "Here," he said, his concern evident in his eyes. "I'm sorry, I should have had this ready."
Y/n accepted the water with gratitude, her eyes sparkling with a mix of amusement and appreciation. "Thank you, Wonwoo. You really didn't have to do this."
He smiled, a genuine warmth in his gaze. "It's no trouble at all. I want you to feel comfortable here."
As they settled back into their meal, the atmosphere around them seemed to soften. The initial awkwardness had given way to a shared understanding.
"How long are you going to stay?" Wonwoo wondered aloud, realizing he hadn't given much thought to the duration of his hiatus. He had informed his agency that this would be his longest break since his military service, but how long, exactly? A month? Maybe more?
"I don't know yet, maybe a month or two? How about you? How long have you been staying here?" Wonwoo inquired, genuinely interested in learning more about his newfound companion.
"This is my third week. Maybe two more. I couldn't leave my work for that long," Y/n explained, her laughter dancing lightly in the air. It was clear she was a dedicated professional.
"What do you do?" he inquired, his words punctuated by a bite of food. Wonwoo was aware that talking with one's mouth full wasn't the best habit, but curiosity had gotten the better of him.
"I teach at a university in Seoul," she replied, a hint of hesitation in her voice.
Wonwoo's eyes widened in surprise. "You're a professor?" He asked, admiration lacing his voice. Y/n nodded with a humble smile, the kind that spoke volumes about her character. She wasn't the type to boast about her impressive profession.
"How about you? What do you do?"
As Y/n's question hung in the air, it caused a palpable pause in the conversation. Wonwoo's gaze turned thoughtful, realizing that she hadn't recognized him. This revelation stirred a distinct sense of intrigue within him. After all, he was a familiar face on screens, effortlessly slipping into roles as villains, businessmen, and detectives. Encounters with people who were oblivious to his public persona were indeed rare, and this anomaly struck him as decidedly captivating.
"I..." Wonwoo began, his voice carrying a touch of uncertainty, as though he were carefully navigating unfamiliar territory. "I work in the entertainment industry. Specifically, in the movie industry," he explained, choosing brevity over embellishment. Y/n acknowledged his response with a nod, not pressing for further details.
Yet, this moment of revelation only fueled Wonwoo's curiosity further. It wasn't often he had the opportunity to engage with someone who approached him without the weight of his public image. This unexpected encounter held the promise of unfolding in ways he hadn't anticipated, adding an unexpected layer of depth to their burgeoning connection.
*
Wonwoo's steady breaths puffed out in white clouds as he slowed to a halt, his jog complete. His phone, nestled snugly in his pocket, hummed with urgency. With a quirked brow, he plucked it out, revealing a call from his ever-busy manager. A hint of amusement danced in his eyes at the thought of what could warrant such a sudden update.
"Hello," he greeted warmly, his voice a soothing balm over the line.
His manager wasted no time, diving into the updates. Wonwoo leaned against a nearby tree, listening intently. It was heartening to hear that the actor's career was still making waves in the industry. But as the conversation swayed, Wonwoo took a moment to share a personal triumph.
"I've been reconnecting with old friends from my hometown," he informed, a touch of nostalgia coloring his words. "It's been a wonderful experience."
Then, a request surfaced in his mind, something he'd been mulling over for a while. "I was thinking... could we make a formal announcement about my hiatus? I have a project in mind—a little library for the kids in the village. It would mean a lot to me."
His manager's voice buzzed with activity. "I'll get in touch with PR. They're swamped, you know how it is. By the way, did you hear about Hong Jisoo? Married and divorced, all in secret. The whole industry's in a frenzy."
Wonwoo nodded, his expression thoughtful. He knew Hong Jisoo, though they'd never shared a scene. Their paths often crossed at award ceremonies, a testament to the longevity of their careers. Marriage, especially early on, wasn't uncommon in their world. Divorce, however, bore its own weight of sorrow.
"Alright, no rush on my end," Wonwoo assured, his tone empathetic. "Thanks for keeping me in the loop. Take care, hyung!"
As the call ended, Wonwoo's gaze swept across the tranquil scenery, the village he held dear. His name danced on the breeze, a familiar voice that turned his head. There stood Giyong, clad in a tracksuit, an image of comfort and familiarity. A genuine smile graced Wonwoo's lips, warmth and respect radiating in his eyes as they met the gaze of the Mr. Doctor.
"Good to see you," Wonwoo greeted, extending a hand in greeting. The stories and connections of their shared hometown were threads that bound them, making this meeting all the more special.
"Have you ever met the woman next door to mine?" Wonwoo inquired, his curiosity piqued after their discussion about the government library miles away from the village.
Giyong's brow arched in thought. "She's still around? I crossed paths with her weeks ago, but I assumed she'd moved on by now," he explained, a hint of surprise in his tone. "Seems like she keeps to herself."
Wonwoo nodded in understanding, absorbing Giyong's words. The quiet presence of the neighbor next door suddenly held a touch more intrigue.
"About the library, come by my office after lunch. I'll be happy to accompany you for a visit," Giyong offered, his voice warm and supportive.
As the clock hand swept towards 1 pm, Wonwoo stood before the mirror, giving himself a final once-over. Today was a day of plans and purpose. First, a visit to Giyong's office, where they'd discuss the logistics of the library project. Then, an observation trip to the existing library, an essential step in crafting a space that truly catered to the village's children. Giyong had also hinted at a discussion with the village head, emphasizing the seriousness of Wonwoo's endeavor. The thought of his father's potential support buoyed his determination.
Stepping outside, Wonwoo's gaze naturally fell upon Y/n's door. He hadn't seen her today. The memory of their last encounter flashed in his mind—it was yesterday night, her returning with a stack of books in hand. Could it be, he wondered, that she was involved with the local library as well?
Wonwoo stepped into Giyong's office, only to find himself in a professional medical clinic, complete with a pharmacy and a bustling staff. The revelation that Giyong was not just a doctor, but a savvy businessman as well, caught him off guard. Giyong's explanation about his alternating shifts, to accommodate his childhood best friend, resonated with a deep sense of friendship and dedication. Wonwoo could only chuckle at the revelation as they made their way towards the library.
"It's quite a distance from the school, isn't it?" Wonwoo observed, prompting a nod from Giyong. Memories of the old library near the fish market resurfaced, a cherished place from his past that had unfortunately met its end due to land ownership issues.
Inside the library, they were greeted warmly by the staff, their mission for children's books met with helpful suggestions.
"These books are mostly classics, a bit on the older side," Giyong explained, brows furrowed in concentration as he assessed the collection. Wonwoo nodded in understanding, selecting one of the books that had once transported him to childhood adventures. A warm smile tugged at his lips, memories flooding back.
"We'll need to invest in a good number of popular and newer books. How many are we talking? At least fifty, I'd say!" Giyong exclaimed, his own mental tally underway. He went on to inform Wonwoo about the escalating costs of children's books, a reality that hadn't escaped their notice.
As they delved deeper into their discussion, Wonwoo's gaze wandered through the aisles. There, seated serenely amidst the books with a laptop before her, was Y/n. His smile widened as he approached, the recognition lighting up her features.
"So, you're here every day," Wonwoo remarked, causing her to startle slightly. She offered a somewhat awkward smile before closing her book, her attention now fully on him.
"I've been here since morning. I lost track of time and nearly skipped lunch, so thanks for the reminder," Y/n explained, your tone gracious.
Taking a seat beside Y/n, Wonwoo's eyes flitted between the pages of the book and the contents of her laptop. "What are you working on?" he asked, genuine interest in his tone.
"Just reading a book and working on a paper. It was a pleasant surprise to find this book here," She shared. Wonwoo's eyes fell upon the title, Library Classification History, a wry amusement dancing in his eyes. "Is it related to what you teach?" he inquired, intrigued.
Y/n nodded. "I teach Library and Information Science," she revealed.
Wonwoo couldn't help but chuckle, marveling at the serendipity of it all. He, wanting to establish a library, had met her—a specialist in the very field. It was a coincidence too perfect to be ignored.
"In fact," he began, a glint of excitement in his eyes, "I'm planning to create a small library on the first floor of my place."
Y/n's interest was piqued, and shenodded in encouragement, eager to hear more about his vision. Wonwoo called Giyong who is still drawned by the book. He friendly introduced Giyoung to Y/n and vice versa.
"Indeed, she's a professor. She teaches library science," Wonwoo informed Giyong, watching as the revelation left the man visibly taken aback.
"What a twist of fate," Giyong mused, a sentiment that Wonwoo readily echoed. The synchronicity of their meeting with you, a professor in the very field they were diving into, seemed almost too perfectly timed.
As Wonwoo went on to explain the vision of creating a small library for the village's children, his words carried a blend of earnestness and passion. It was a plan woven with care, a promise to provide the young minds in the village with a sanctuary of knowledge and imagination.
"I can still recall how much Wonwoo adored reading as a child. It's no wonder he feels so strongly about ensuring kids today have the same access to books," Giyong reflected, a nostalgic smile playing on his lips. He spoke of moments from their shared past, of glimpses caught of a young Wonwoo engrossed in books in class or within the hallowed halls of a library.
Meanwhile, Y/n sat in quiet contemplation, the weight of the proposition hanging in the air. She considered the potential impact of her brief stay in this time, wondering if it could lend a helping hand in bringing this dream to fruition—a small library, a beacon of knowledge for the children of the village.
"What can I do to assist?" Her inquiry broke the thoughtful silence, drawing a radiant smile across Wonwoo's face. It was a question that held the promise of collaboration, a joining of hands to shape a future of enriched minds and shared stories.
*
The days had been a whirlwind for Wonwoo, Y/n, Giyong, and Youngmi. Wonwoo's strategic move to enlist Youngmi's help as an elementary teacher had paid off, granting them invaluable insights into the needs of their young audience. With Giyong and Youngmi juggling their own demanding schedules, the lion's share of the preparations fell upon Wonwoo and Y/n. Wonwoo, his sleeves rolled up, threw himself into the renovation project, determined to transform the first floor into a space worthy of being called a small library. Meanwhile, Y/n delved into research, meticulously curating a collection that would captivate and educate young minds.
As the day waned, Youngmi's departure marked the beginning of a quiet evening. With her mother's thoughtful gesture, the duo received a comforting late-night snack and a steaming cup of green tea. After bidding Youngmi farewell, the room settled into a hushed intimacy, the soft glow of a nearby lamp casting gentle shadows.
"Let's take a moment to rest," Wonwoo suggested, carefully placing his paint-splattered equipment aside. On the other side of the room, Y/n set down the tablet that had commanded her attention since morning. She stretched languidly, every movement exuding a feline grace. Approaching Wonwoo, she joined him, both eager to indulge in the late-night sustenance.
The atmosphere was one of contented exhaustion, the weight of their efforts easing as they shared this quiet interlude. Wonwoo's chuckle mingled with the soothing rhythm of their breaths, a testament to the camaraderie that had grown between them.
In this stolen moment of respite, the small library project seemed to take on a new glow of promise. It was more than just a renovation or a collection of books; it was a labor of love, a beacon of learning, and a testament to the power of community.
"Have you thought about the name?" Y/n's voice, though gentle, held a touch of curiosity, breaking the tranquil stillness that had settled around them.
Wonwoo considered her question, his gaze momentarily drifting towards the space they had poured their hearts into. "I have a name in mind, but I'd like to discuss it with everyone first," he explained, a warm smile gracing his lips as he turned to meet her eyes. The prospect of naming their collective creation felt like a pivotal moment, a decision that would forever define its essence.
"Would you mind sharing it?" Y/n inquired, her interest piqued.
Wonwoo's gaze held a contemplative glint, as if weighing the significance of the choice. Finally, he spoke, "Healing Hues."
Y/n's smile bloomed, her eyes bright with approval. "I like it. Being here feels like a kind of healing," she remarked, her voice carrying a soft sincerity that resonated with the quietude of their surroundings. Her sentiment hung in the air, a testament to the comfort their small library promised to offer.
Wonwoo nodded in agreement, a sense of gratification settling within him. "I spent a long time contemplating the paint colors. I wanted them to embody the essence of the name. I believe they do," he shared, pride and certainty lacing his words. The choice of soothing blue and vibrant yellow felt like an apt representation of the healing they aspired to bring.
"They complement each other beautifully. You've done a remarkable job," Y/n praised, her admiration evident. Her words were a balm to Wonwoo's dedicated efforts, validating the careful thought he'd invested in every detail.
Wonwoo's smile widened, a mixture of gratitude and pride lighting up his features. "Thank you, Y/n. Your contribution has been invaluable. Your help means the world to me," he expressed, his words carrying a depth of appreciation for the partnership they'd formed in this endeavor.
"Why Healing Hues, though?" Y/n's curiosity shimmered in her eyes as she asked about the chosen name, her intrigue giving voice to the question that hung in the quiet space.
Wonwoo, seated beside her in the cozy corner of the library, considered her question. He let out a casual shrug, as if the answer was simple, though layered with personal significance. "It might sound a bit cliché," he began, his voice carrying the weight of genuine sentiment, "but when I arrived here, I was coming from a place of utter exhaustion. This place became a source of healing for me. Reconnecting with everyone from my childhood, meeting you, and realizing the dream of creating a small library—it all coalesced into a sense of healing. For the first time in a long while, the colors of my life felt harmonious and whole."
Wonwoo's explanation was delivered with a calmness that belied the depth of feeling behind his words. In his eyes, there was a hint of reminiscence, a fleeting recollection of the hectic days and the monotony that had once defined his existence just a week ago. But now, those memories seemed to have faded, replaced by the vibrant hues of happiness and purpose that colored his days in his hometown.
The library around them seemed to bask in the warmth of Wonwoo's words, as if it too understood the significance of the name chosen. The air was charged with a sense of quiet contentment, the space itself bearing witness to the transformation that had taken root within its walls.
Y/n listened, the weight of Wonwoo's words settling in her heart. It was a name that now held a profound meaning, one that she knew would resonate not just with them, but with anyone who stepped through the doors of Healing Hues. In that moment, she felt the power of names, how they could encapsulate the essence of something greater, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for being a part of this journey.

The morning sun streamed through the windows, painting the room with a warm glow. Giyong's cheerful voice roused Wonwoo from his slumber, a gentle nudge to action amidst the promise of a busy day ahead. Wonwoo blinked away the remnants of sleep, realizing he'd drifted off on the couch after a night of painting the entire room.
As he stirred, a comforting weight pressed against his shoulder, reminding him of Y/n, who had fallen asleep beside him, equally exhausted from their efforts. Her peaceful slumber painted a serene picture against the backdrop of their fledgling library.
Giyong entered the room, accompanied by a few helpers carrying stalls that would soon hold the carefully curated collection of books. Wonwoo, still rousing himself fully, turned his attention to Y/n, gently shaking her to rouse her from her rest. "Morning already," he whispered, a fond smile gracing his lips as she shifted to a more comfortable position, her head no longer resting on his shoulder.
The arrival of the stalls had happened faster than expected, a pleasant surprise for the duo. Giyong explained that the specific table they had been looking for was still in production, prompting him to order a similar one. He couldn't hide his relief that the color matched seamlessly with the rest of the room.
With the stalls in place, Giyong spoke of the imminent soft opening, his eyes briefly landing on Y/n, the dedicated curator of their book collection, who still asleep. She had worked tirelessly to ensure that each selection met Wonwoo's approval, carefully crafting a library that would captivate and educate young readers. The initial collection included 25 children's books, a blend of encyclopedias and stories, alongside 15 books tailored for older readers. Y/n had finalized the order late into the night, her commitment unwavering.
Giyong couldn't help but tease, "She's worked even harder than you, I'd say," his tone light and teasing. Wonwoo simply nodded in agreement, a smile playing on his lips. He was too drained from their collective efforts to engage in playful banter. The room buzzed with an air of anticipation, each piece falling into place, culminating in the realization that their dream of Healing Hues was on the verge of becoming a reality.
"Let's have a quick meeting after this to discuss the soft opening agenda," Wonwoo proposed, excusing himself to the second floor for a moment of reprieve and rejuvenation.
As he returned, the scent of seafood pancake wafted through the air, a tempting invitation from Youngmi's breakfast. He couldn't resist asking, "Can I have some of this?" before indulging in the morning meal.
He found Giyong and Youngmi settled on the couch, waiting for him. However, Y/n was conspicuously absent. Concern pricked at Wonwoo's senses, and he inquired, "Where's Y/n?"
Youngmi promptly explained, "She's outside, taking a phone call," before they delved into the meeting.
They decided on a soft opening with a beach vacation theme, a concept that promised both relaxation and exploration for their guests. Youngmi suggested a personality test to recommend books, a touch that added a personal connection to the experience. When Y/n eventually joined the meeting, she readily agreed with the proposals and offered her assistance.
Yet, even as discussions flowed, Wonwoo's gaze kept returning to Y/n. He sensed a shift in her demeanor, an unspoken weight that seemed to settle upon her since that phone call. It troubled him, an unspoken concern nagging at the edges of his thoughts.
"Y/n, could you take care of the food?" Giyong suggested, drawing Y/n's attention. The idea was met with unanimous agreement, and the meeting concluded swiftly as Giyong and Youngmi headed off to work.
Left alone, Wonwoo couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss. When Y/n made a quiet exit, he moved to stop her. "Is everything alright? Did something happen?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine worry, his eyes searching for answers in her gaze.
Y/n's response was measured, her voice calm but carrying a hint of weariness. "Nothing. Just tired."
Wonwoo, respecting her need for space, didn't press further. He gently reminded her of their evening meeting with the others, watching as she nodded and made her way home in haste.
As Wonwoo watched Y/n depart, a gnawing worry settled in the pit of his stomach. He couldn't shake the feeling that something weighed heavily on her mind. Her usually serene demeanor had been replaced by a quiet reserve, leaving him with a sense of unease.
He recalled the phone call that had preceded this shift in Y/n's demeanor. The suddenness of her withdrawal from the meeting, coupled with her distant expression, left him with a growing concern. What could have transpired in that conversation to cast such a shadow over her typically composed demeanor?
Wonwoo knew Y/n to be a private person, but this was different. This was a shift in her usual disposition, a veil drawn over the window to her thoughts and emotions. It left him feeling powerless, aching to reach out and offer comfort, yet hesitant to intrude on what might be a deeply personal matter.
The bond they had formed through their shared project and the days spent working together had fostered a sense of camaraderie. He cared for Y/n's well-being, not just as a collaborator, but as a friend. Her sudden change in behavior tugged at his heart, leaving him torn between respecting her privacy and wanting to be there for her.
As the day unfolded, Wonwoo found his thoughts frequently returning to Y/n. He couldn't shake the worry that lingered, a subtle undercurrent to the day's activities. He hoped that their evening meeting would provide an opportunity for Y/n to open up, if she felt inclined to do so.
*
Wonwoo's heart dropped at the sight that met his eyes. Y/n stood before him, her once vibrant complexion now drained of color, cold sweat glistening on her forehead. She looked as though she could barely stand. Before he could utter a word, she collapsed to the floor, her strength failing her.
"You're burning," Wonwoo murmured, a mix of concern and panic surging through him. Without hesitation, he reached for his phone, dialing Giyong's number in a frantic hurry. He relayed Y/n's condition, the urgency in his voice apparent. Giyong, on the other end, instructed him to bring Y/n to his clinic immediately.
With great care, Wonwoo lifted Y/n into his arms. He carried her to his car, the urgency of the situation propelling him forward. The drive to Giyong's clinic felt like an eternity, every passing second amplifying his worry.
Giyong was already at the clinic, preparing to leave for the night. He quickly assessed Y/n's condition, confirming that she was indeed suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, which had led to her dangerously high temperature and overall burnout.
"Is she going to be okay?" Wonwoo's voice trembled with concern, his eyes locked onto Y/n, who lay on the examination table.
Giyong met Wonwoo's gaze, offering a reassuring but solemn explanation of her condition. "She'll need to stay here for IV treatment. She should be able to go home tomorrow morning. You did the right thing checking on her when you did. Her condition could have worsened if left unattended."
Wonwoo nodded, a mixture of relief and lingering worry washing over him. He knew that they had caught this just in time, but the sight of Y/n in such a vulnerable state was a stark reminder of the importance of taking care of oneself.
After Giyong reassured him that Y/n was in capable hands, Wonwoo left the clinic, the weight of worry still clinging to him. He returned to the house, his steps heavy with concern. As he approached Y/n's door, he remembered the urgency of the situation earlier and realized it was still unlocked. He extended a hand, preparing to secure it, when a sound from within caught his attention.
A faint ringing echoed in the quiet of the house, originating from Y/n's phone. His mind raced back to that morning, to the phone call that seemed to have brought about such a drastic change in her condition. Could this call be the cause of her sudden illness? Wonwoo wondered, a knot of unease forming in his chest.
Unable to ignore the persistent ringing, he pushed open the door and stepped inside. The scene that greeted him weighed heavily on his heart. Y/n's phone lay on the coffee table in front of the couch, its screen displaying the caller ID: 'Jisoo,' accompanied by a white love emoji. Wonwoo's brows furrowed with a mixture of curiosity and concern. Was Jisoo someone significant in Y/n's life? The thought passed fleetingly through Wonwoo's mind, leaving him uncertain about how to proceed.
He opted not to answer the call, feeling that it wasn't his place to do so. As the call ended, he couldn't help but notice the numerous missed calls from the same number. A quick glance at the screen revealed several unread messages, evidence of Jisoo's persistent attempts to reach Y/n.
Wonwoo hesitated, unsure of what to make of this new piece of information. It was clear that Jisoo held some importance in Y/n's life, but the nature of their relationship remained a mystery.
The phone screen illuminated with a cascade of messages from Jisoo, each one more forceful and accusatory than the last. Wonwoo's heart quickened its pace, startled by the sudden intensity of the conversation he inadvertently stumbled upon between Y/n and this person named Jisoo. The tone of the messages sent a shiver down Wonwoo's spine, a mixture of concern and unease prickling at his senses. What could possibly be transpiring to elicit such a charged exchange?
Another call punctuated the quiet, a shrill ring that signaled a persistent urgency. Wonwoo's determination solidified. He couldn't bear the thought of Y/n being embroiled in this apparent turmoil alone. With a steady resolve, he accepted the call, mentally preparing himself for the confrontation that awaited on the other end of the line.
"Where are you? We need to talk!" Jisoo's voice crackled through the phone, urgency dripping from every syllable. Wonwoo's disapproval of this person, whoever he was, surged with each passing second. He couldn't fathom how anyone could address Y/n with such forcefulness.
"Answer me! My career is on the edge! Don't you dare to run away!" Jisoo's words thundered through the line, carrying an undercurrent of frustration and desperation. Wonwoo closed his eyes, taking a steadying breath to brace himself against the torrent of anger. The waves of intensity emanating from the conversation were almost suffocating..
Wonwoo held his ground, his voice steady and composed, determined to navigate this unfamiliar territory with a clear head. When Jisoo demanded to know who he was, Wonwoo responded with a calm assurance that hinted at his resolve. The seconds that followed held a tangible tension, as if the air itself was bracing for what would come next. Jisoo's reply carried a blend of both curiosity and suspicion, a clear indication that he was deeply invested in the situation.
The back-and-forth continued, with Jisoo pressing for more information. "Who's this? Why is a man picking up Y/n's phone? Who are you?" Each question was laced with a growing intensity, revealing the gravity of the situation that had prompted Jisoo's concern.
Wonwoo weighed his words carefully, opting to disclose only what was necessary. "I'm her neighbor," he stated evenly, offering a concise explanation. He didn't want to overstep boundaries or divulge more than was appropriate, respecting Y/n's privacy while still conveying the urgency of the situation.
There was a discernible shift in Jisoo's tone, the frustration that had been simmering now mingling with a genuine concern. "Just tell her to call me once she checks her phone." The edge of urgency in Jisoo's voice was impossible to ignore, revealing a complex mix of emotions that hinted at the depth of his connection with Y/n.
As the call ended, Wonwoo couldn't shake the sense of unease that settled in his chest. He was now entangled in a situation he didn't fully understand, but his priority was clear: ensuring Y/n's well-being. He resolved to be there for her, to offer support in whatever way she needed, even if it meant delving into the complexities of her personal life. The weight of responsibility settled on his shoulders, but he was determined to face whatever came their way.

"Sorry, I caused you inconvenience," Y/n mumbled softly as they both settled into the car. Wonwoo couldn't help but chuckle, his warm laughter filling the space between them. With a gentle hand, he turned the key in the ignition, the engine humming to life. "Is it okay if I take you somewhere before we head home?" Wonwoo asked, motioning for Y/n to fasten her seat belt.
Y/n nodded, a shy smile gracing her lips. "But can we grab something to eat first?" Her request was met with an immediate nod of agreement from Wonwoo.
After a brief stop to satisfy their hunger, they continued their drive, heading toward a destination known only to Wonwoo. Y/n leaned back in her seat, allowing herself to be enveloped by the soothing motion of the car. The gentle warmth of the sun kissed her skin, and she closed her eyes, savoring the moment.
Wonwoo stole a glance at her, a fond smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He reached to adjust the controls, smoothly retracting the roof of the car. The world outside stretched before them, an expansive canvas of beauty and serenity. Y/n's laughter danced through the air, a testament to her genuine delight at the unexpected surprise. Wonwoo found himself captivated, not only by the breathtaking view but also by the vibrancy that seemed to radiate from Y/n in this moment, a stark contrast to the somber atmosphere of the night before.
As they continued their journey, Y/n's curiosity got the better of her. "Where are we going?" she inquired, her eyes filled with wonder and anticipation. She was open to whatever adventure awaited, as long as it offered a spectacle for her eyes to behold.
Wonwoo pointed towards the expanse of ocean that stretched out in the distance. "We're going to the beach," he revealed, a spark of excitement mirrored in Y/n's eyes.
"It's been a long time since the last time I went to the beach," Y/n confessed, her voice tinged with nostalgia.
As the car glided along the road, Wonwoo stole glances at Y/n, watching her eyes light up with the prospect of the beach. Her excitement was palpable, and it filled him with a quiet sense of contentment. He was grateful for the opportunity to share this moment with her, to witness her rediscovering the simple joys of life.
The wind tousled their hair, carrying with it the scent of saltwater and the soothing sounds of the sea. Wonwoo's own spirits were lifted by the sight of Y/n's animated expressions. Her presence beside him was like a breath of fresh air, a reminder of the beauty that could be found in the world, even in the midst of uncertainty.
The car came to a gentle stop, and they both stepped out onto the warm sand. Y/n kicked off her shoes, letting the grains sift between her toes. Wonwoo followed suit, relishing the sensation of the soft sand beneath his feet. The rhythmic crash of the waves provided a soothing backdrop to their surroundings.
Wonwoo watched Y/n with a mixture of fondness and admiration. Her gaze was fixed on the horizon, her features softened by a serene smile. It was a moment of quiet reflection, a respite from the chaos of the outside world.
As the sun painted the sky in hues of pink and gold, Wonwoo couldn't shake the subtle turmoil churning within him. He watched Y/n, her presence a calming force against the backdrop of the serene beach. It was in moments like these that he found himself drawn to her in a way he couldn't quite put into words.
Confusion tugged at the edges of Wonwoo's thoughts. He was no stranger to the intricacies of human emotions, but this felt different. It was a gentle tug, a quiet whisper of something unspoken. He wrestled with the unfamiliarity of it all, grappling with the realization that his feelings for Y/n went beyond mere friendship or neighborly concern.
He stole another glance at Y/n, her silhouette etched against the fading daylight. She seemed to belong to this tranquil moment, a part of the natural beauty that surrounded them. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring them here, to this beach, at this precise moment in time.
Wonwoo stood at the edge of the shore, the briny scent of the sea filling his senses, each breath a mixture of anticipation and trepidation. His gaze, tender yet uncertain, lingered on Y/n. There was a delicate warmth that surged within him, a revelation that both unsettled and strangely comforted him.
Turning to her, he began, his voice a soft melody tinged with vulnerability, "Y/n, there's something I need to tell you."
Y/n, her eyes pools reflecting the twilight's fading embrace, met his gaze with a gentleness that seemed to bridge the expanse between their souls. A profound understanding flowed in the silent exchange, words unnecessary yet the connection profound.
Steady, yet carrying the weight of his heart, Wonwoo continued, "Last night, while you were at the clinic, a call came through on your phone. The caller was named Jisoo. The messages and the call log... they held an air of urgency."
Y/n's eyes widened slightly, her mind processing the revelation. A fleeting worry etched across her features as she retrieved her phone from Wonwoo's outstretched hand. With furrowed brows, she scrolled through the messages and call history, each line a testament to a history she had kept veiled.
"He's... someone from my past," Y/n confessed, her voice carrying the echoes of reluctance and resignation. "We were once close, but things changed. Something bad happened, and he need someone to bear the weight of blame."
Wonwoo nodded, a profound understanding washing over him. He could feel the tapestry of emotions woven into Y/n's being, the intricate threads of their shared history. Reaching out, he rested a comforting hand on her shoulder, an unspoken promise of solidarity.
"You don't have to face this alone," he reassured, sincerity filling the air between them. "Whatever path you choose, I stand by your side."
Y/n met his gaze, a shimmer of gratitude and relief dancing in her eyes. Her hand found its place atop his, an unspoken affirmation of trust and the blossoming bond that held them together.
And as the day surrendered to the night, they stood, two souls joined in a quiet understanding, their hearts harmonizing with the ceaseless rhythm of the waves. The horizon blazed with the last embers of sunlight, casting a warm, golden hue over the sands. Together, Wonwoo and Y/n embraced the uncertain future, fortified by the strength they found in each other's presence.

Wonwoo and Y/n returned home well past sunset. Giyong and Youngmi were patiently waiting, meticulously preparing containers for the snacks destined for tomorrow's soft opening. As Giyong rose from his seat to accept the grocery box from Y/n, concern laced his voice as he inquired about her well-being. "You weren't at clinic when I arrived this morning," he expressed, worry etched in his features.
Y/n responded with a warm smile, touched by the genuine care from everyone. Giyong, in turn, informed her of the arrival of the books, eager to see them find their place on the shelves. Youngmi, however, interjected, playfully scolding his use of the term 'decorated' when it came to books, emphasizing their purpose beyond mere ornamentation.
Suddenly, Giyong's tone shifted, a note of unexpected seriousness entering his voice. "By the way, can we talk after this? I have something to say," he asked Y/n, catching her off guard. It was a rare occurrence for Giyong to seek a private conversation with her. Meanwhile, Wonwoo observed the exchange, his gaze flicking between the two of them. He held back the urge to pry into Giyong's intentions, his lips pressed into a tight line.
In the midst of it all, a question lingered, unspoken yet palpable: Wasn't Wonwoo the only one harboring feelings for Y/n?
As the evening unfolded, the room gradually emptied, leaving only Wonwoo and Youngmi in its quiet embrace. The air held a certain tension, a subtle undercurrent of unspoken thoughts.
Youngmi, perceptive as ever, cleared her throat gently before speaking. "Wonwoo, can we talk for a moment?" Her voice was gentle, inviting, yet tinged with a hint of concern.
Wonwoo nodded, his gaze shifting from the empty chairs to Youngmi. He could sense the weight of the conversation to come, a mixture of anticipation and trepidation settling in his chest. "Of course, Youngmi. What's on your mind?" he asked, his tone steady.
She hesitated for a moment, choosing her words with care. "It's about you and Y/n," she began, her eyes meeting his with a searching intensity. "I've noticed... there seems to be something more between you two. Am I right?"
Wonwoo's heart skipped a beat, the question hanging in the air. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, the truth too important to evade. "Yes, Youngmi," he admitted, his voice measured. "I've developed feelings for Y/n. But I also value our friendship and want what's best for her."
Youngmi's expression softened, understanding and empathy in her eyes. "I appreciate your honesty, Wonwoo. It's not an easy situation for any of you."
He nodded, gratitude for her understanding washing over him. "I just want her to be happy," he confessed, his voice carrying the weight of his sincerity.
Youngmi's reassuring touch on Wonwoo's arm provided a steadying anchor in the midst of swirling emotions. Her gaze held a mixture of understanding and kindness, a testament to the depth of their friendship.
"I want to assure you, Wonwoo, that Giyong's concern for Y/n is solely rooted in care for her well-being," Youngmi began, her voice warm and sincere. "He's like a brother to her, and he only wants to see her happy and healthy. There's no hidden agenda, I promise."
Wonwoo's tense shoulders eased slightly, the weight of uncertainty gradually lifting. He appreciated Youngmi's candidness, a lifeline of clarity in a sea of conflicting emotions. "Thank you, Youngmi," he said, his voice touched with gratitude. "I just want what's best for Y/n, and it's reassuring to know Giyong's intentions are genuine."
Youngmi nodded, her eyes reflecting a shared concern for their friend. "We all do, Wonwoo."
A pang of empathy washed over Youngmi as she considered Y/n's journey, her eyes clouded with a mixture of sorrow and concern. "It breaks my heart to think of what Y/n might have been through, to end up here in this village," she admitted, her voice tinged with sadness. "There must be something that pushed her to leave her previous life behind."
Wonwoo nodded, his own heart heavy with the weight of Y/n's untold story. "I've wondered about that too," he confessed, his gaze distant as he thought of the mysteries shrouding Y/n's past. "She carries a strength that's been forged through adversity, that much is clear."
Youngmi offered a gentle smile, her eyes softening with compassion. "Yes, she does. Yet she carries herself with such grace."
Silence settled between them, a shared understanding of the resilience that defined Y/n's spirit. In that moment, a renewed sense of respect and admiration for their friend blossomed, mingling with the determination to stand by her side, no matter what the future held.
As Y/n and Giyong entered the room, a subtle chill seemed to cling to the air, the weight of unspoken emotions lingering. Youngmi, ever perceptive, decided to break the tension with her effervescent spirit. She greeted them with a wide smile, injecting the room with her characteristic warmth and a light-hearted joke.
"Ah, here comes the dynamic duo, back from their secret mission!" she exclaimed playfully, her laughter dancing through the room.
Y/n's lips curled into a small smile, grateful for Youngmi's attempt to lighten the mood. Giyong, too, cracked a smile, the corners of his eyes crinkling in amusement. The atmosphere slowly began to thaw, replaced by a more comfortable ease.
They set to work organizing the books, arranging them according to the data Y/n had meticulously prepared days prior. Each book found its place on the shelves, a testament to their collective effort and attention to detail.
With the task completed, they gathered together, a sense of accomplishment settling over them. Cans of beer in hand, they raised a toast to their hard work and the promise of a successful soft opening.
The clinking of cans echoed in the room, a chorus of celebration and camaraderie. As they settled into their seats, the coldness that had lingered earlier was replaced by a shared sense of contentment and accomplishment.
As the evening wore on, the cheerful ambiance grew even warmer, fueled by the camaraderie and the liberating influence of the beer. Youngmi's laughter became more carefree, her words flowing with a certain unfiltered honesty.
"You know," she began, her words slightly slurred but her eyes bright, "all my friends are out there, happily married and posting pictures of their babies. And here I am, still single and living my best life!" She let out a peal of laughter, the sound filling the room.
Y/n, Wonwoo, and Giyong exchanged amused glances, touched by Youngmi's candidness. They listened intently, realizing that Youngmi was about to share something deeply personal.
"I'll let you in on a little secret," she continued, her voice lowering slightly. "People have been trying to push me into marriage for years. 'Settle down, find a nice man,' they say. But you know what I dream of?" Her eyes gleamed with a mix of determination and nostalgia. "Continuing my studies abroad, exploring the world, and writing about it!"
Her words hung in the air, a declaration of a dream deferred but not forgotten. There was a poignant sincerity in her voice, a testament to the strength of her convictions.
"And you three..." Youngmi turned to Y/n, Wonwoo, and Giyong, her gaze softening. "Meeting you, it's been a blessing. You've shown me that there's more to life than following the expected path. I'm grateful for each of you."
Her heartfelt confession settled over them, the room filled with a profound sense of connection. Y/n, Wonwoo, and Giyong exchanged smiles, touched by Youngmi's vulnerability and the depth of their friendship.
Giyong's gaze turned reflective, the warm light of the room casting shadows on his face as he spoke. "You know, there was a time when nobody believed I could make it. Even my own parents were skeptical when I chose to study medicine. They thought it was too ambitious, too difficult."
He paused, his eyes distant, as if revisiting those moments of doubt and determination. "But I was determined to prove them wrong. I worked tirelessly, pushing through every obstacle and doubt that came my way."
A quiet sense of pride tinged his voice, a testament to the resilience that had carried him through those challenging years. "And now, I can say that it's paid off. I'm doing what I love, and I can make a difference in people's lives."
Y/n, Wonwoo, and Youngmi listened in rapt attention, deeply moved by Giyong's story of perseverance. They could feel the weight of his journey, the sacrifices he had made to pursue his passion.
"You've achieved so much, Giyong," Wonwoo acknowledged, his voice filled with admiration. "Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring."
Giyong smiled, a mix of gratitude and contentment lighting up his features. "Thank you, Wonwoo. It hasn't been easy, but every step of the way was worth it."
Giyong's words held a resonance that echoed in the room, a testament to the trials he had faced and overcome. "I've been fortunate in many ways," he continued, his voice steady. "I worked hard in my studies, and with time, I found my footing financially. My career has been a source of fulfillment and purpose."
There was a quiet pride in Giyong's demeanor, a sense of satisfaction in his accomplishments. Yet, a shadow of a deeper truth lingered in his eyes.
"But you know, even with all that, there's this unspoken pressure from society," he admitted, his gaze drifting to the window as if seeking answers in the night sky. "They see success and immediately think it's time to settle down, to get married. As if that's the only measure of a fulfilling life."
Y/n, Wonwoo, and Youngmi listened intently, their hearts heavy with the weight of societal expectations and the complexities that Giyong grappled with.
"It's frustrating, isn't it?" Giyong mused, a hint of frustration in his voice. "To have your worth measured by whether or not you have a spouse. But I've always believed that there's more to life than that, more to define our happiness and fulfillment."
His words hung in the air, a call for a broader perspective on what it meant to lead a meaningful life. Y/n, Wonwoo, and Youngmi nodded in agreement, a shared understanding of the intricacies of societal norms and personal aspirations.
"Wonwoo, do you have anything to say?"
Wonwoo's voice carried a weight of vulnerability as he opened up about his own struggles. "You know, being in the public eye all the time... it's not as glamorous as it might seem," he confessed, his eyes fixed on a distant point. "There's almost no privacy. Every move is scrutinized, every word analyzed. And sometimes, baseless rumors just take on a life of their own."
He sighed, a mixture of resignation and frustration in his tone. "It's a constant contradiction to who I am. I love acting, I love the craft, but the celebrity part... it's not something I enjoy. It's like I have to give up so much just to do what I love."
Y/n, Giyong, and Youngmi listened with empathy, their hearts going out to Wonwoo. They could sense the weight of the expectations that rested on his shoulders, the toll it took on his sense of self.
"I just hope that someday, society can change," Wonwoo continued, his gaze turning back to them. "Stop pushing people into these boxes, these roles that they think we should fit into. There's so much more to a person than what meets the eye."
His words hung in the air, a plea for a world where individual passions and dreams could be pursued without the burden of societal expectations.
In the midst of the gentle hum of conversation, Youngmi's words tumbled out with a certain unfiltered honesty. "I'm really curious about you, Y/n. We've known each other for almost two weeks, but all I know is your name and your job," she babbled, the warmth of the alcohol giving her words a candid edge. Giyong, ever vigilant, attempted to intervene, but Y/n gave him a reassuring nod, signaling that it was alright.
A soft smile graced Y/n's lips, a glimmer of resilience shining through as she began to speak. Her voice held a steady cadence, each word carefully chosen to convey the weight of her experience. Wonwoo, his eyes locked onto hers, became a steady anchor of support, his gaze a pool of unwavering affirmation, absorbing every nuance of her story.
"I was diagnosed to have severe depression when i decided to run away from my life."
As she continued, Y/n's voice wove a tapestry of pain, courage, and the strength it took to overcome. The room seemed to hold its breath, honoring the depth of her vulnerability.
"I was divorced on my third anniversary. My husband... My ex, I loved him, but he cheated on me and wanted to separate," Y/n confessed, her voice carrying the weight of a painful memory. In her eyes, shadows of hurt flickered, a testament to the depth of her past pain. Though tears threatened to spill, she held them back, determined to share her truth.
"I was pregnant for 8 weeks," Y/n revealed, her voice tinged with both sorrow and strength. The weight of her words hung in the air, a somber melody weaving through the room. "I suffered a miscarriage on my way here."
As Y/n spoke, the room seemed to hold its breath, the gravity of her experience palpable. Each word was a testament to the pain she had endured, a fragment of her journey that she bravely shared. The vulnerability in her voice echoed through the room, drawing her friends closer in shared empathy.
Her revelation painted a vivid picture of desperation and heartache. "I rushed to the nearest clinic," she continued, her voice steady despite the emotions churning within her, "desperate to save my child, but it was already too late."
Her revelation hung in the air, the unspoken pain of her loss lingering like a bittersweet melody
"Now, my ex has been terrorizing me," Y/n continued, her voice strained but resolute. Her words hung in the air, a testament to the ongoing struggle she faced. "He believes I'm the one who exposed our relationship to the public, even though it was a secret. He's a popular actor, living his life under the relentless glare of the spotlight."
As Y/n spoke, the weight of her truth settled over the room. Her voice carried the burden of the harassment she endured, painting a vivid picture of the torment she faced. The atmosphere held a mixture of sympathy and anger, a shared determination to stand by her side.
Her voice caught, a lump forming in her throat as she released the emotions that had been bottled up for weeks. It was a moment of raw vulnerability, the unspoken pain of her reality laid bare. "Trust me," she choked out, her words a rallying cry, "being married, having fame, even a stable job... none of it guarantees a life free from obstacles. Life keeps shaping us."
The room fell into a hushed stillness, the weight of Y/n's revelation settling over them like a heavy shroud. Youngmi's eyes glistened with unshed tears, her heart aching for her friend. With a tender determination, she rose from her seat and approached Y/n, enveloping her in a warm, supportive embrace. It was a gesture of solidarity, a silent promise that she wasn't alone in this.
Giyong and Wonwoo exchanged solemn glances, a fire smoldering within them. Y/n's story had unearthed a deep well of empathy, but also a simmering anger towards the man who had caused her such pain. They shared a mutual understanding, a shared resolve to stand by Y/n's side and offer whatever support she needed.
In the midst of the heavy atmosphere, Y/n found comfort in Youngmi's arms. The embrace was a lifeline, a tangible reminder that she was surrounded by friends who cared deeply for her. Tears flowed freely now, a release of pent-up emotions that had been held in for too long.
As the night wore on, they remained together, their bonds strengthened by the shared vulnerability of the moment. They knew that from this point forward, they would face whatever challenges came their way as a united front, ready to protect and uplift one another.
*
As Wonwoo stirred from his slumber, he found the room oddly empty, a sense of quiet unease settling over him. The muffled sound of a car trunk closing outside drew his attention, and he hastened to investigate. There, he discovered Y/n, busily loading her belongings into the car. Confusion knitted his brows. What was happening?
"Hey, where are you going?" he asked, his voice laced with concern, stepping closer to her.
Y/n sighed, her movements deliberate yet tinged with a sense of urgency. "I have to go back," she replied, gently pushing Wonwoo aside as she secured the last of her belongings.
Wonwoo couldn't suppress his worry. "Is it because of what happened last night?" he ventured, his gaze searching hers. He couldn't help but marvel at her strength and grace, even in the face of such adversity.
Y/n halted, her hand coming up to rub her face, weariness etched in every line. "My husband, no, my ex... He threatened to reveal my identity if I didn't meet him for lunch today. He plans to create a scene at my office," she confessed, her voice finally breaking.
In an instant, Wonwoo enveloped her in a warm embrace, providing a comforting sanctuary amidst the turmoil. "Is that true?" he inquired, his voice gentle. Y/n's nod against his chest confirmed her heartbreaking reality.
As he held her, Wonwoo grappled with a decision. Should he leave for the soft opening? The internal debate was short-lived; his concern for Y/n's well-being took precedence. He knew she couldn't bear a six-hour drive in her current state.
"I'll drive you," Wonwoo declared, resolved to prioritize her over the event.
Y/n's brow furrowed in protest. "No! You can't miss the soft opening this afternoon. Giyong and Youngmi need you," she insisted.
Wonwoo shook his head, his tone unwavering. "They'll understand. But you need me right now. I don't think you should be driving in your condition," he reasoned, gently cradling her trembling hands, a tangible display of her vulnerability.
"I'll explain everything to everyone and wait for me, okay?" Wonwoo reassured, before turning to head back inside, determined to support Y/n through whatever challenges lay ahead.
Wonwoo stepped outside, his fresh clothes clinging to his tall frame as he gracefully slid into the driver's seat. He motioned for Y/n to fasten her seat belt, a gentle reminder of their safety before embarking on their journey.
As Y/n settled into her seat, a wave of guilt washed over her. She couldn't help but feel responsible for the recent events that had unfolded. "How's everybody reacting?" she asked, her voice laced with remorse. "I'm so sorry."
Wonwoo turned to face her, his eyes filled with understanding and compassion. With a reassuring smile, he replied, "No, it's fine. Everyone understands. They reached out to the local library for assistance, and they were more than happy to help." His words carried a sense of relief, a weight lifted off their shoulders.
Turning his head towards her, Wonwoo's hand found hers, their fingers intertwining. "Didn't I tell you that I'll always be on your side?" he asked softly, his touch providing comfort and reassurance. With a gentle motion, he rubbed her knuckles, a tender gesture that spoke volumes of his unwavering support.
As the miles passed beneath them, Y/n couldn't shake the unease settling in her chest. The warmth of Wonwoo's hand in hers, the reassuring rub of his thumb, it all felt too intimate, too knowing. He knew her, inside and out, and that vulnerability made her skin prickle with self-consciousness.
She stole a quick glance at him, finding his gaze fixed on the road ahead, a serene expression on his face. He seemed entirely at ease, oblivious to the storm churning within her
As the road stretched on, Y/n pondered how to convey her feelings without causing discomfort. She subtly shifted her hand, disentangling her fingers from Wonwoo's, letting her palm rest on her own thigh. It was a small, deliberate movement, a signal that she needed some space.
Wonwoo glanced at her, his brow furrowing in mild concern. Sensing her withdrawal, he eased off on the affectionate gestures, giving her the room she silently asked for.
The air in the car seemed to shift, a delicate balance of understanding settling between them. Y/n felt a weight lift off her chest, grateful for Wonwoo's sensitivity to her unspoken cues.
A lump formed in Y/n's throat, and she cleared it, willing herself to find the right words. "Wonwoo, I... I appreciate everything you've done for me. But you know so much about me, and I... I feel embarrassed, like you see all my flaws and insecurities."
The confession hung in the air, a fragile admission of her own discomfort. She couldn't bear the thought of him knowing every vulnerable part of her, laid bare for him to see.
Wonwoo met her gaze, his eyes soft with understanding. He nodded gently, his smile a beacon of reassurance. "Y/n, I want you to know that I would never want you to feel uncomfortable or exposed. I care about you deeply, and I respect your boundaries."
Her eyes glistened with unshed tears, moved by his considerate response. "Thank you, Wonwoo. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just... it's hard, you know? Being so open."
He nodded again, his gaze unwavering. "I understand, Y/n. Vulnerability can be a difficult thing to navigate, especially when you care about someone. Please know that I'm here for you, in whatever way you need me to be."
The drive to Seoul stretched on, the minutes feeling like hours in the confined space of the car. Wonwoo's gaze flickered towards Y/n's phone, which she cradled in her palm. He couldn't help but notice the persistent call from Jisoo's contact flashing on the screen. Y/n shot him an apologetic look before reluctantly answering.
She took a steadying breath, swiping to answer the call. "Hello," she greeted, her voice gentle yet firm. "I'm on my way from Changwon. Can you just wait?"
The voice on the other end crackled with impatience and agitation. Y/n's ex-husband seemed unwilling to grant her request, his demands echoing through the phone. Wonwoo, attuned to the conversation, could hear the frustration in Y/n's voice, though she remained composed.
"Don't you dare try to go to my office, you're crazy," she asserted, her tone unwavering. The words held a quiet strength, a boundary firmly set.
Wonwoo's grip on the steering wheel tightened instinctively. He could feel the weight of the situation, the underlying tension in the car growing palpable.
The passing scenery outside seemed to blur, the city lights of Seoul a distant promise of respite. Wonwoo stole glances at Y/n, concern etched into his features. He wished he could shield her from the discomfort, but all he could do was keep his focus on the road, providing a steady anchor in the midst of the storm.
As the call finally came to an end, Y/n let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. She turned to Wonwoo, a mixture of frustration and weariness in her eyes. "I'm sorry you had to hear that, Wonwoo."
He offered a reassuring smile, his voice gentle. "You don't need to apologize."
As they approached the Seoul University area, Wonwoo navigated the car through the familiar streets, glancing at Y/n for directions. She directed him with a calm confidence, her focus on their destination.
"So, we're heading to Seoul University, right?" Wonwoo asked, double-checking to ensure they were on the right track.
Y/n nodded, her gaze fixed ahead. "Yes, that's correct. It's just up ahead."
As they pulled up near the café, a gentle sense of anticipation hung in the air. Y/n turned to Wonwoo, her expression grateful. "Thank you for getting me here, Wonwoo. I really appreciate it."
He met her gaze with a reassuring smile. "Of course, Y/n. If you need anything, don't hesitate to call."
As Y/n prepared to step out of the car, Wonwoo hesitated for a moment. "Would you like me to come with you?" he offered, genuine concern in his voice.
Y/n considered the offer, touched by his willingness to support her. However, she ultimately declined with a kind smile. "Thank you, Wonwoo, but I think I'll be okay. I'll catch up with you soon."
With that, she exited the car, leaving Wonwoo to wait inside. He watched her disappear into the café, a mixture of admiration and concern welling within him.
As he sat alone in the car, lost in his thoughts, he saw a figure approaching. It was Hong Jisoo, a fellow actor under the same agency. Wonwoo's mind raced, connecting the dots between the information he had from his manager and the story Y/n had shared the previous night.
The gravity of the situation settled heavily on Wonwoo's shoulders. He couldn't help but feel a surge of anger towards Jisoo, not just for the chaos he had caused for their agency, but for the pain he had inflicted upon Y/n.
He knew that if Y/n chose to reveal the truth about their relationship, it could mean serious consequences for Jisoo. And in Wonwoo's eyes, he would fully deserve the backlash.
The minutes stretched on as Wonwoo sat alone in the car, the tension in the air palpable. His mind raced, thoughts swirling with a mix of concern for Y/n and a growing disdain for Hong Jisoo. The gravity of the situation settled heavily on his shoulders, a weight he couldn't easily shake.
He couldn't help but replay the details he had gathered from his manager and the fragments of Y/n's story from the night before. It was a puzzle he was desperate to piece together, a mosaic of pain and betrayal that painted a devastating picture.
Wonwoo's empathy for Y/n ran deep. He couldn't fathom the pain she must have endured, the scars that lingered beneath the surface. In that moment, he felt an overwhelming urge to shield her from any further harm.
As he sat in the car, the cafe's windows reflecting the bustle of the university area, he couldn't shake the sense of injustice that gnawed at him. Hong Jisoo's actions were not only a betrayal of trust but a stain on their shared profession. The chaos he had caused for their agency was not easily forgiven.
Yet, Wonwoo also understood the delicate dance of fame and reputation. Exposing the truth could be a double-edged sword, a decision that required careful consideration. Y/n held the power to unveil the reality of their past, a truth that could potentially change everything.
As the minutes passed, he found himself hoping for Y/n's strength and resilience to guide her through the encounter. He knew she was more than capable of handling the situation, but the support he yearned to offer her was bound by the confines of the car.
Finally, the door of the cafe swung open, and Y/n emerged. Her posture held a quiet determination, and Wonwoo's heart swelled with admiration. She approached the car with a composed grace, slipping into the passenger seat beside him.
Their gazes met, and without a word, he could sense the weight of the encounter. He offered her a small, supportive smile, a silent assurance that he was there for her.
The ride back from Seoul University was filled with a quiet yet palpable sense of support. As they merged onto familiar streets, Wonwoo broke the silence, his voice warm and gentle. "Y/n, where would you like to go now?"
Y/n's gaze shifted to the passing scenery outside, contemplative. "Home, please. I just want to be there right now."
Wonwoo nodded, his hands steady on the wheel as he navigated the route to Y/n's residence. The drive was a comfortable one, the air between them carrying a sense of shared understanding.
As they arrived, Y/n turned to Wonwoo with a small, sincere smile. "Would you like to come inside, Wonwoo? It's been a while since I've been able to host anyone."
He met her gaze with a soft smile of his own. "I'd love to, Y/n. Thank you for the invitation."
The house greeted them with a familiar warmth, the familiar scent of home enveloping them. Y/n offered a brief apology for not being able to prepare anything, her genuine hospitality shining through.
"It's not a problem at all, Y/n," Wonwoo reassured her. "I'm just glad to be here with you."
They settled into a comfortable rhythm, the atmosphere relaxed and easy. As they sat in the living room, Y/n turned to Wonwoo, her eyes filled with a mixture of gratitude and determination.
"The meeting earlier," Wonwoo began gently, "how did it go?"
Y/n took a moment to collect her thoughts before speaking. "It was complicated but we dealed to come with a legal agreement, really. We both agreed that if it ever comes out that I wasn't the one who revealed Jisoo's status, he'll stop bothering me."
Wonwoo nodded, understanding the weight of the situation. "That's a significant step, Y/n. I'm glad you were able to find some resolution."
Y/n's eyes met his, a spark of gratitude shining through. "Thank you, Wonwoo. Your support means more to me than I can express."
They sat in companionable silence, the weight of the day slowly lifting. As evening settled in, the air around them seemed to fill with a sense of hope and possibility. Y/n sat on the comfortable living room couch, her eyes fixed on Wonwoo, a mix of curiosity and warmth in her gaze. The atmosphere in the room was cozy, the soft light casting a gentle glow around them.
"Can I ask you something, Wonwoo?" she ventured, her voice soft but steady.
He turned towards her, his expression open and inviting. "Of course, Y/n. You can ask me anything."
She paused for a moment, gathering her thoughts. "I've been wondering... why have you been so kind and affectionate towards me lately? I mean, driving all the way from Changwon and being there for me. It means a lot, but I'm just trying to understand the reason behind it."
Wonwoo met her gaze with sincerity, his eyes warm and earnest. He took a moment to collect his thoughts before speaking.
"It's been a while since I felt like I could truly enjoy my life and my time," he began, his voice filled with a quiet gratitude. "Meeting you, Giyong, and Youngmi again... it's been a reminder of the good things life has to offer. And with you, Y/n, there's something more."
Y/n's gaze held his, her curiosity deepening. "Something more?"
Wonwoo nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yes. Being around you, there's a sense of protectiveness that awakens in me. I want to be there for you, to support you in any way I can."
He took a breath, his gaze steady on Y/n's. "I've come to realize that it's more than just friendship, Y/n. I have feelings for you, romantically."
Y/n's heart seemed to flutter in her chest, surprised yet warmed by his honesty. She met his gaze, her own eyes reflecting a mix of emotions.
"I understand if it's difficult for you, Y/n," he continued, his voice gentle. "I know it hasn't been long for you, and I'm willing to wait. You deserve to take your time and open your heart when you're ready. I believe you're worth fighting for."
His words hung in the air, a quiet declaration of his feelings and his unwavering support. Y/n felt a rush of emotion wash over her, touched by his sincerity and the depth of his care.
"Thank you, Wonwoo," she finally said, her voice filled with gratitude. "Your honesty means a lot to me, and I truly appreciate your patience and understanding."
As they sat in the comfortable living room, the weight of their conversation seemed to settle around them. It was a pivotal moment, a shared understanding of the feelings that had blossomed between them. Together, they faced the uncertainty of what lay ahead, their bond strengthened by their shared vulnerability. They were ready to navigate the path forward, hand in hand, knowing that their connection was worth every step.
*
The room was cast in a hushed, early morning light, painting everything in a gentle, golden hue. Wonwoo's breaths gradually steadied as the remnants of his vivid dream began to recede. He gazed around the room, the unfamiliar surroundings of his father's villa causing a wave of disorientation to wash over him. It was as if he had been temporarily transported to another world, only to be abruptly pulled back to reality.
As Wonwoo sat there in the quiet villa, the weight of his realization settled heavily on his shoulders. The vividness of the dream still clung to him, like an echo of a life he had briefly lived. The laughter, the shared moments, the warmth of their connections—all of it felt so achingly real, yet he knew it was nothing more than a fleeting illusion.
A sense of yearning mingled with a quiet ache of loss, as if he had glimpsed a reality that was just out of reach. He ran a hand through his hair, his fingers tangling in the strands, trying to grasp onto the fading threads of the dream. It was like trying to hold onto mist, slipping through his fingers, leaving him with a bittersweet ache.
The room around him seemed to close in, the walls of the villa pressing in on him. He longed to return to the moments he had experienced in that dream, to be with Giyong, Youngmi, and Y/n once more. But the cruel truth was that those moments were never real, just fragments of a slumbering mind.
His body felt weary and spent, the strain of the long drive from Seoul to his childhood hometown settling in his bones. He ran a hand through his tousled hair, attempting to shake off the lingering traces of the dream. Those moments with Giyong, Youngmi, and Y/n seemed to cling to him, the emotions and sensations feeling almost too tangible, too real.
As another thud resonated through the villa, Wonwoo's senses sharpened, his heart quickening with a surge of adrenaline. He moved with purpose, descending the stairs in swift strides. The urgency in his steps betrayed the underlying anxiety that still pulsed through him.
When he entered the kitchen, the sight of Y/n greeted him like a beacon of solace. She sat there, a picture of quiet comfort, munching on chips with a bucket of ice cream at her side. Her presence was a grounding force, a reassuring reminder that he was indeed back in reality.
Her eyes lifted to meet his, a hint of confusion softening the edges of her gaze. "Did I wake you up?"
Wonwoo's response was immediate and visceral. He shook his head, his voice barely above a whisper. "No, it's not that. I had a dream... I thought you were just a dream."
Y/n's laughter was a melodic, comforting sound. She reached out, her hand gentle as she patted his head, a soothing gesture that seemed to anchor him. "Well, I'm very much real, Wonwoo."
A sigh of relief escaped him, and he found himself leaning into her touch, seeking the solace she offered. Her scent, familiar and warm, enveloped him, dispelling the lingering traces of the dream that still clung to his senses.
She eased back, concern etched in the soft lines of her features. "Are you okay, Wonwoo?"
He met her gaze with a grateful smile, the depth of his appreciation mirrored in his eyes. "I am now, thanks to you."
Y/n extended a gentle invitation, patting the seat beside her, her eyes warm with affection. "Come join me." She nodded towards her chips and ice cream, a snack combination that had become a cherished indulgence since they learned about the little one growing inside her.
Wonwoo's heart swelled with a delicate mixture of tenderness and wonder. He moved to her side, their bodies settling in close companionship. The simplicity of sharing a snack held a profound significance, a quiet acknowledgement of the new journey they were about to embark on together.
As they sat in the tranquil villa, a sense of calm settled around them like a comforting embrace. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of them, wrapped in a cocoon of shared intimacy. The promise of a new chapter in their lives hung in the air, a palpable presence that filled the room.
Wonwoo's gaze lingered on Y/n, his heart overflowing with gratitude for this moment. The dream, though fleeting, had left an indelible mark on him, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination. Yet, here and now, with Y/n beside him, everything felt undeniably real. It was a tangible affirmation of the love, hope, and the promise of a bright future that lay ahead.
Their fingers brushed lightly as they reached for the snacks, a subtle connection that spoke volumes. Each gesture, each shared glance, was a silent promise to face the uncertainties of the future hand in hand. They were ready, together, to navigate the uncharted waters of parenthood, knowing that their bond was the anchor that would guide them through.
In the quietude of the villa, time seemed to suspend, leaving them in a precious bubble of shared anticipation. Every heartbeat echoed with the promise of new beginnings, of a love that would grow and evolve with each passing day.
As the day unfolded around them, Wonwoo and Y/n sat there, cherishing the moment. Their hearts beat in sync, a harmonious rhythm that set the tone for the journey that awaited them. They were ready to face the world, armed with the strength of their love and the unwavering promise of a future filled with endless possibilities.

Gladiator
Once upon a time in the grand city of Rome, there lived a legendary gladiator by the name of Lucius Maximus. Ren for his unmatched strength, chiseled features, and impeccable fighting skills, Lucius became a celebrated figure in the gladiatorial arena.
Tumblr media
Match after match, Lucius emerged victorious, defeating each opponent with a grace and finesse that made the audience gasp in awe. His handsome face anded body captivated the hearts and minds of all witnessed his triumphs. After each match he would be offered a young roman male of female slave to spend the night to take off his edge. Many slaves would line up to be chosen. However, his consistent success began to rile the senators of Rome, as his popularity soared, overshadowing their own illustrious status.
With each passing day, Lucius' popularity grew exponentially, and the stadiums were soon filled to the brim with enthusiastic spectators eager to catch a glimpse of the handsome gladiator. Even his training sessions were visited by spectators. Almost every night he would have spectators sneak into the dungeons to give him food in order to spend the night with him. Word had it that Lucius was really well hung. The senators, consumed by envy, decided they would no longer allow Lucius to revel in his glory.
Under the influence of the jealously fueled senators, the owners of the gladiatorial games devised a treacherous plan to eliminate Lucius. Rather than slaying him publicly, they decided to take him into the house of the owner. Their intentions were sinister, as they planned to subject the gladiator to a life of degradation and humiliation.
Once within the confines of the owner's opulent residence, Lucius' life took an unexpected turn. He was rude to his owner and the respected guests that came to see him. He was also fighting his guards to escape the villa’s cellar. They locked him to chains on the wall and he was enticed with an endless flow of wine, which lulled him into a state of constant inebriation and sleepiness. This relaxed state meant that he was able to give sexual pleasure to the guests in return for money for his owner.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, his once admirably sculpted physique began to suffer, as his defined muscles and renowned six-pack started to hide beneath a layer fat.
Tumblr media
One evening, as Lucius languished in his drunken stupor, a compassionate woman and man managed to sneak into the basement where he was held captive. They brought him food, in an attempt to alleviate his suffering and help him regain his strength in return for some secret sexual pleasure. However, as time went on, Lucius only grew fatter under the oppressive regime of the owner.
Tumblr media
The owner saw that his price pig was not the gladiator it used to be, still eager to exploit Lucius for his own amusement and financial gain, devised a new plan. He began hosting private sessions with his esteemed guests, where they would feast upon extravagant banquets while Lucius, now little more than a bloated shell of his former self, served as the centerpiece. His once-honed combat skills were replaced by the owner's desire to see just how far his gluttony could be pushed.
Tumblr media
Days turned into weeks, as Lucius endured a life of laziness, ceaseless indulgence, and constant overfeeding. The owner reveled in watching the gladiator's gradual deterioration, ensuring an endless flow of wine and piles upon piles of food were constantly brought to his side. Lucius had become a mere plaything for the owner's sadistic pleasure.
Tumblr media
To add further misery to Lucius' existence, the owner assigned his private companion, a skilled fighter himself, to undertake the arduous task of teaching the once-great gladiator to fight in his weakened state. This companion reveled in showing off his dominance over Lucius, pushing him further into obesity and degradation. When drunk, the owner even allowed children to fight the gladiator, exploiting his weakened state for the amusement of the guests.
Tumblr media
As the years passed, Lucius grew unimaginably fat, barely able to breathe under the tremendous weight that burdened his once-mighty body. Yet, the owner, deriving unending pleasure from his captive's suffering, continued to force-feed him, reveling in the grotesque spectacle Lucius had become.
Tumblr media
And so, the tale of Lucius Maximus, the once-handsome gladiator, took a tragic turn as he became a mere pawn in the ulterior motives of the senators and the owner. With each passing day, his spirit grew weaker, his body withered, and his existence became nothing more than a pitiful shadow of his glorious past.

Summary: OBX S3 Ep 1-2 reimagined. Reader is the unwilling participant in Rafe's great plan to get Carlos Singh what he demands most...
Tumblr media
You hit the door once more in frustration.
You knew the guard was still there on the other side but he would only listen to his boss, not you. Sighing annoyingly, you finally turned to face the rest of the room. It was extravagant to say the least. Nothing like where you came from. Being a Pogue your whole life you never knew what it meant to have an ‘extra’ bedroom, let alone multiples of them. Guessing by what little of the villa you had seen before you had been shoved into the room, the villa likely had six or more bedrooms.
            “Rich pricks.” You mumbled.
As you meandered towards the windows, intending to hopefully find an escape route, you paused when a note on the nearby wardrobe caught your eye.
Pick your size. The note read.
You eyed the identical silk red dresses.
“Yeah, no, thanks.” You mumbled to no one.
Slamming the wardrobe doors closed, you approached a dresser on the furthest side of the room. The clothes you were wearing were still damp from crashing into the bay. Opening the drawers, you were relieved to find plenty of women’s clothing, but how they ended up there remained a concern to you. You didn’t know who Carlos Singh was, or what he wanted with you or your friends, but you didn’t plan on staying to find out.
Quickly changing into fresh, dry clothes, you found a pair sneakers in another closet before returning to the windows. Your mission to escape out of the window was halted by what you saw on the other side.
Guards. Lots of them. And they all carried weapons. You had nothing on you to defend yourself. Besides, you knew better than to think you even stood a chance. At this point, you’d need a miracle to get out there. You only hoped your friends managed to escape & stay far away from the clutches of the mysterious Singh.
Tumblr media
After hours of lying on the only bed in the room in boredom, you finally heard a commotion on the other side of the door. You launched yourself off the bed & grabbed a nearby metallic candlestick. It weighed heavy in your hand so you knew you may have a shot as long as you didn’t screw up. Whoever was coming for you wouldn’t be prepared for you to fight back & you had to use that element of surprise to your advantage.
Pressing yourself to the wall just behind the door, you raised the candlestick & braced yourself to attack whoever entered the room. There was raised voices just on the other side & you were unable to focus on what they were heated about, too focused on needing to do what had to be done next. But just as the door opened, another body got shoved into the room & before you could even strike anyone on the back of their head, the door slammed shut, followed by the resounding locking mechanism.
“You gotta be fucking shitting me.” The other person before you breathed out when they spotted you.
“What the hell are you doing here?!” You asked exasperatedly, but did not lower your weapon. In fact, you raised it higher, taking a defensive position.
“You really think you’re gonna hurt me with that?” The man—Kook King, himself—questioned amusingly as he took in the state of you.
“I’ll give it a shot.” You quipped back, not backing down.
Rafe rolled his eyes before shaking his head then he turned his back on you, waving his hand in dismissal, “Give it all you got, Pogue.”
Gritting your teeth, you took a step forward, wanting nothing more than to hurt the bastard who caused you & your friends hell for years, but you came to realize he was in the same position as you. Locked in the room under the demand of one Carlos Singh.
“What are you doing here?” You asked for a second time, your chest heaving as you reluctantly lowered the candlestick.
Rafe peered out of the windows, observing the guards like you had only hours prior, “Had a business deal.”
That made you stifle a laugh, “Your business deals usually end with you locked up in their bedrooms?”
He sneered at you then. His reaction only fueled your mockery, “Guess you didn’t inherit all of Ward’s charms.”
Rafe smirked haughtily at that but said nothing in response.
Accepting that he was not a threat—for now—you returned the candlestick to its original place but didn’t stray far from it, determined to keep the entire room between you & Rafe Cameron.
“What are you doing here?” Rafe questioned again, his eyes momentarily flicking to yours before casting them back out the window.
“Beats me.” You crossed your arms over your chest, never letting your eyes stray from your long-time foe, “Figured you’d know the answer better to that than me.”
Rafe chuckled darkly at that, “Guess we’re both in the dark then.”
Time dragged on & eventually you found yourself sitting on the farthest edge of the bed. Rafe sat in a chair in the corner of the room, his eyes constantly on the guards outside. After hours of silence & him observing the strength of the security outside, you finally felt forced to comment.
“They’re not gonna go away just because you keep staring at them.”
Rafe grunted at that, “Got anything better in mind?”
You shrugged, “No. Just sayin’, not like you’d stand a chance.”
“Says the chick who was ready to fight her way out of here with only her handy-dandy candlestick.”
You hated that he was right. Rolling your eyes, you turned away from him, eyeing the door to the hallway. It was getting dark out & still, no one had come to retrieve either one of you. What the hell did this guy want?
After another hour of silence, you found yourself dozing off, exhausted from that morning’s events & your subsequent alert system being shot. But just as you felt yourself just on the edge of sleep, the door to the room unlocked. You shot out of bed, reaching for the candlestick a second time. Rafe mirrored you, though he only armed himself with two fists raised slightly at his sides.
But before either of you could even think about getting the upper hand, a guard appeared with two more behind him, as he entered the room with a metal tray of what appeared to be food.
“Dinner.” He said flatly, his eyes not missing either of yours defensive stances.
He placed the tray on the bed before smirking knowingly to himself, then he backed out of the room, “Good night.”
With that, he closed the door & relocked it.
“So much for putting up a fight, Pogue.” Rafe commented.
“I didn’t see you swinging.” You bit back, loosening your hold on the candlestick.
Rafe shook his head unimpressively before peering at the food on the tray, “At least they brought us good shit.”
It was an assorted tray consisting of lobster legs, BLT sandwiches, & a large bowl of what looked to be a pot roast soup. Rafe pulled the chair he had been sitting on to the foot of the bed & began having at the food. You only stared on. When he felt you staring, he returned the look, “Don’t think I’m gonna save you some if you don’t get any now.”
            “Could be laced.” You shared.
Rafe grunted haughtily at that, “Singh ain’t that kind of guy.”
“No?” You questioned, narrowing your eyes at Rafe, “What kind of guy is he then?”
Rafe sucked the meat out of a crab leg before dropping the shell, peering up at you, “The kind of guy to look you in the eyes as he puts a bullet in your head.”
The thought made you swallow nervously.
“So eat.” Rafe demanded, “We’ll need our energy if we’re gonna get out of here.”
That made your brows furrow, “You got a plan?”
“Not yet.” Rafe chewed, “But I will by morning.”
Biting your rebuttal, your hate for him an instinct at this point, you steeled yourself to sit back on the bed & reach for one of the sandwiches. Picking off the tomatoes, you brought the grub to your mouth. The two of you ate in silence for some time before you spoke your thoughts out loud.
“I’m surprised you’re willing to even share food with a Pogue, despite the circumstances.”
Rafe smirked at that but nodded, “I’m not all bad. You may be a Pogue but you’re still just a girl. I’m not that big of an asshole.”
“Tell that Sarah.” You glared at him.
Rafe stopped chewing then, his lips pursed as he licked his teeth. His eyes flashed to yours then, “That was a one-time thing.”
            “You mean three.”
He leaned back in his chair, narrowing his eyes at you, “What do you want me to say? I’m sorry? Fine, I’m sorry.”
“I’m not the one you should be apologizing to & even if I was an apology like that wouldn’t mean shit.”
“Good thing it’s not for you.” Rafe bit back.
Sneering at him, you looked away, not wanting to entertain a conversation with him any longer. But apparently, you had opened a can of worms because Rafe wasn’t quite done.
“Ya know, we may have had our differences in the past but—”
“Differences?” You laughed half-heartedly, “Is that what you call it?”
Rafe glowered, but continued, “But you & I, we’ve never had any problems, not directly anyway.”
“You fuck with my friends you fuck with me. So yeah, we’ve had plenty of problems.”
He chuckled darkly at that, wiping his hands on one of the provided cloth napkins, “You Pogue’s are an interesting breed, always conjoined at the hip, can’t think for yourselves. Like a fucking hive of bees.”
“At least we have each other’s backs.” You rebutted, “You can’t say that about anyone in your life.”
“I don’t need anyone to have my back.” Rafe returned, his voice full of pride.
“See how far in life that gets you.”
“No further than you.” Rafe smirked, “After all, we’re both locked up in here, aren’t we?”
The sandwich you were eating began to taste bitter. You dropped the remains of it onto the tray. Moving backwards on the bed, you rested against the headboard, your eyes never leaving Rafe’s.
“You still haven’t told me why you’re trapped here to begin with.”
Rafe sucked his teeth at that, “That’s for me to know.”
“You expect me to help you get out of here with nothing in return?”
“What you get in return is a way out of here. That’s enough for you.”
Though you didn’t know Rafe on a personal level, you knew well-enough that he wasn’t going to break, let alone bend, for you.
“Better be a good plan.” You commented, resting your head against the headboard. Exhaustion was coming for you yet again.
“It will be.” Rafe eyed you, “Don’t worry your pretty little head about it.”
Tumblr media
It was the middle of the night when you woke with a start. Your eyes peered blearily around the darkened bedroom, suddenly remembering where you were, though you didn’t remember dozing off. But what alarmed you more than remembering where you were was the reason you woke to begin with.
There was a hand on your hip & someone’s breath at the nape of your neck as their hand reached around for the button on your shorts.
Grasping the hand, you prepared to yeet yourself off the bed, but another arm shot out & caught you, forcing your back against their chest.
“Where do you think you’re going?” The voice belonged to Rafe Cameron, & you were reminded about how he had been locked in that bedroom with you earlier.
“The fuck are you doing?” You asked panicked. One arm of his was wrapped around your middle, securing you against him as his other returned to the front of your shorts.
“What’s it look like? It’s the middle of the night, I’m bored, horny, & can’t sleep. This’ll help.”
“Fuck off, Rafe!” You wrestled against him but your strength was no match for his.
“Calm down, will ya?” Rafe reprimanded, “It’ll be over before you know it.”
Despite his cool & nonchalant attitude, you were terrified. You knew Rafe Cameron was capable of bad, terrible, literally deadly things. His violent tendencies were predictable, able to see them from a mile away. But this? You knew you shouldn’t have been surprised but you were. Rafe Cameron was a rogue fucking wave.
A strained whimper parted your lips as he forced you to roll onto your belly, his chest never disconnecting from your back.
“Rafe, stop, I’m so fucking serious!” You winced when the rough fabric of your denim shorts got yanked down to your knees, your underwear along with them.
Before you could verbalize your refusal for a third time, Rafe clapped a hand over your mouth, effectively silencing you. Panicked tears burst forth then. With your face shoved into a pillow & your cries muffled, all you could do was feel & listen as Rafe removed his own pants before prodding himself against you.
An abrupt & burning intrusion knocked the wind of you, your mouth torn open despite Rafe’s hand covering you there. Rafe grunted shamelessly behind you as he sought out his carnal needs. Your hands gripped the sheets tight, the bones in your fingers straining against themselves as you willed the pain Rafe caused away. But the pain never dissipated.
Rafe continued to thrust himself inside you, your walls dry & unwelcoming to his assault. He eventually removed his hand from your mouth, bracing himself on either side of your arms as he fucked himself into you. You shook beneath him, hot tears staining the pillowcase as you were forced to lie there & literally take it. All your fight left you as Rafe took the remaining energy you had left.
He continued for some time, not being quick at all like he said it would be. At some point during it, he readjusted your head so your face was exposed & he brushed your hair out of your face to kiss your jawline & neck. Every single kiss of his left a wake of goosebumps & only made you feel more nauseous, like you were getting seasick from a rocky boat.
Finally, you gasped quietly when you felt Rafe stiffen behind you, followed by a low, guttural groan of his emanating from deep within his heartless chest. He rolled off you immediately, breathing heavily to himself. You kept your face turned away but very languidly reached down to pull back up your underwear & shorts. Sniffling quietly to yourself, you stood from the bed & wobbled into the en suite bathroom.
You kept your eyes on the ceiling as you peeled your bottoms back down & pissed into the toilet. Your vagina ached & burned at the sensation. You bit your lip, keeping yourself from wincing out loud. Once you finished using the bathroom, you cleaned yourself up with a wet hand towel & washed your hands. You didn’t bother looking yourself in the mirror, not ready to see the full extent of what Rafe had done.
Back in the bedroom, you were angry to see that Rafe had passed out. His pants were still undone around his hips, his pubic bone exposed. Hot tears returned as you eyed him murderously. Steeling yourself, you reached for the candlestick nearby. Gripping it tightly in your hand, you pictured yourself bashing Rafe’s face in until he was unrecognizable. But as the gruesome thoughts ran rampant throughout your mind, Rafe peeled his eyes open, staring up at you.
“Do it.” He challenged, “I dare you.”
Your chin shook as you raised the candlestick, preparing to bring it down. Rafe closed his eyes again, that god-awful Kook smirk of his crossing his features, “But if you do, you’ll never get out of here. And Singh won’t have any reason to keep you alive, so your body will just be fed to the sharks alongside mine.”
Desperate to ignore his taunts, you willed yourself to follow through & fucking kill him, but as much as you hated him & wished him dead, you weren’t a killer. Dropping the candlestick onto the floor, you collapsed to your knees, staring aimlessly at the bedframe.
“That’s what I thought.” Rafe commented, his voice low & arrogant, “Now, get some sleep, you’ll need your energy in the morning.”
Reluctantly, your body complied to his advice. You lowered yourself the rest of the way to the ground. It didn’t matter how uncomfortable & unwelcoming the hardwood was, it was far better than sleeping on the bed that Rafe just raped you on.
Shoving those thoughts to the darkest depths of your memory, you allowed yourself to close your eyes, hoping & praying that when you woke in the morning, the last 24 hours would all have just been an awful nightmare & you’d wake up back on Poguelandia with your friends.
Tumblr media
The sounds of ocean waves lulled you awake. You moaned in your sleep, frowning as you slowly came to. You peeled your eyes open, taking in your surroundings.
Shooting forward, you whipped your head around. Unlike the villa bedroom you had fallen asleep in, you found yourself on a bench on the deck of a small yacht. You stood up, wincing slightly as a shot of pain emanated from your core.
Last night’s memories flooded you & you felt like you were going to be sick. Racing to the nearest railing of the yacht, you leaned as far over as you could before throwing up bread, bacon, & lettuce. You wiped your mouth, frowning as you stared at the waves beating against the sides of the boat.
“Thank fuck this isn’t one of my own or else you’d be cleaning that up with a toothbrush.” A voice sounded above you.
You spun around, using your hand to shield your eyes from the blaringly bright sun as you found the source of the voice. Rafe Cameron smirked down at you, a pair of shades on his face.
“What the fuck did you do?!” You yelled up at him.
“What’s it look like?” He gestured to your surroundings. “I saved us.”
You knew well enough that you were on a boat, but only in that moment did you realize that you were in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. No land mass or other boats in sight. You didn’t feel very saved.
“This is when you say, ‘thank you, Rafe’.”
“Fuck you, Rafe.” You spit, holding your stomach when you felt like you would vomit again.
He sighed, shaking his head as if you were a misbehaving child, “Ungrateful Pogue as always.”
“Ungrateful?!” You screeched. Wanting nothing more than to throw him overboard, you stomped in search of the stairs that would lead you to him before finally finding them. As you marched up the stairs, preparing yourself to do what you couldn’t do the night before, you froze the second you reached the landing.
Rafe was sitting in the captain’s seat, & he had a handgun trained on you.
You stared at the gun, biting your lip in anger then flashed your glare to Rafe’s shielded eyes.
He raised his brows knowingly, “Problem?”
            “Lots.” You bit back.
“Mmm.” Rafe nodded, “Well, those’ll have to wait.”
“For what? What the fuck else could you possibly need me for?”
Rafe sighed happily at that, a million dollar grin appearing on his face, “That’s what you’re gonna tell me.”
            “What are you talking about?”
            “I’m talking about the diary.”
You swallowed at that. Of course you knew about the diary, you & your friends were after it, after all, but how did Rafe know about it?”
“That’s why Singh had you. And me.” Rafe revealed, “He was convinced I knew where it was since we know each other, but he doesn’t know the intricacies of the Kook-Pogue feud, poor guy. So, he made me a deal. I get the information out of you, & he gives me half the cut. Here we are.”
You eyed him warily, “So, last night? That was all, what, a ploy?”
“Mhmm.” He smirked, “Once you passed out I spoke with Singh & he loaned me this yacht. Now, you’re gonna take me to the diary. Or I’m going to tell him where to find all your friends’ families & he’ll pick them off one by one until you get me what I want.”
“You fucking asshole…” You breathed in disbelief.
He only shrugged, “So, where do we go first?”
            “I’ll never help you.”
“No?” Rafe, with his gun still aimed at you, pulled out a cell phone & raised it, “Should I give him a call then? Tell him which Pogue’s family he can target first?”
“No, don’t!” You stepped forward, “Don’t, Rafe.”
“Well then?” Rafe lowered his shades just enough to eye you directly, “Point & shout, Pogue, your friends’ families are depending on you.”

With this Ring
read my other work here!
pairing: Harry Styles x plus size reader
word count: 1.1k
summary: Harry takes his commitment to you to a new level.
a/n: watching everyone go nuts over that tattoo reminded me of a Harry head canon that i've been sitting on, and i felt like this would be a great time to put it out there. this story takes place in the NYIML timeline, but that story is so far from a wedding, so they'll get their proper wedding eventually. just act surprised when this happens again at some point, eventually.

You study Harry’s expression as he examines the selection of rings in front of him. He doesn’t seem particularly taken by any of them, and you’re pretty sure you know why.
In just a few weeks, you and Harry are finally getting married. A quiet celebration with your closest family and friends at your villa in Italy. Today, you were selecting your wedding bands. Yours was an easy choice, you selected a simple, understated white gold band that complimented your engagement ring perfectly. Harry however, was having a more difficult time making a decision.
Harry already had an extensive collection of rings. A large gold ‘H’ usually occupies his left ring finger, but he was looking at simple gold bands to replace it, for you. You knew he would never complain, or say anything to you about it, but you were sure that a part of him wasn't thrilled about the change.
“Harry?” You get his attention when the jeweler steps out back to grab some more options. Your fiance looks up at you and hums in response. “You don’t have to get a wedding ring, you know.”
Harry furrows his brow. “What do you mean? We’re getting married, of course I do.” He reaches out, placing his hand over yours.
“You already have a ring for that finger. Besides, you don’t need to wear a piece of jewelry to prove that you're mine. It’s an antiquated tradition.” You shrug.
“Ha!” Harry’s hands quickly covered his mouth at the bark of laughter that escaped him. “Sorry,” he said sheepishly. “Baby, I’ve never seen someone plan a more traditional wedding, and now you’re telling me that one of the main components is antiquated?”
“I just want you to be happy, and I feel like one of these boring basic bands wouldn’t do that.”
“Princess,” he takes your face in his hands, looking deep into your eyes. “You make me happy, and I can’t wait to be your husband and show the whole world I belong to you. If I could tattoo ‘property of Y/N’ across my forehead without looking completely insane, I would do it in a heartbeat.” He pulled your face to his, as the two of you kissed, it was as if a lightbulb went off in his head. He knew the perfect solution.
***
“I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride.” The officiant announced as Harry pulled you into him, dropping his lips down to meet yours in a passionate kiss as your friends and family cheered.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, for the first time ever, Mister and Misses Harry Styles!” The two of you turned, facing the crowd, Harry raising your joined hands in the air victoriously as you made your way down the aisle with the italian sunset setting the most romantic backdrop you could have possibly dreamed of.
The two of you stepped back into your villa, Harry tugging your arm and pressing you against the wall. “My wife,” he sighed happily before crashing his lips against yours. He pulled back, resting his hand on the side of your neck, brushing your cheek with his thumb. “My beautiful wife. I love you so much.”
“I love you too, husband.” You giggle, pulling his left hand to your mouth and kissing the simple gold band that now adorned his left ring finger. “Are you sure you’re okay with this?” You asked. He gave you a mischievous smirk, and you furrowed your brow. “What?”
“I may have had an idea after our talk at the jewelry store.” He chuckled at your curious expression. “Come with me, Mrs. Styles.”
He took you by the hand and led you to the bridal suite area. When you stepped inside, there was a table, wrapped in plastic with a chair on either side, and a large man setting up supplies.
“Harry?” You asked curiously.
He smiled at you, kissing the wrinkle that formed between your eyebrows. “I thought about what you said, about how I already had rings, and you didn’t want me to have to give them up. I figured out a way that I could have both. I’m going to have your name tattooed around my ring finger.” He announced proudly. “That way, I have my wedding ring on all the time, even if I’m wearing my H.”
Your eyes start to water as you take in his words. He studies your face, worry creeping into his expression. “Are you… is that okay?”
You throw yourself into his arms, burying your face in the crook of his neck. “Baby, that’s amazing. Are you sure? A tattoo is a forever thing.”
Harry chuckles, pulling you back so he can look you in the eyes. “So are we, princess. Remember like five minutes ago when we got married?” He wiped a stray tear off your cheek.
“Yeah of course,” you say with a light laugh.
“C’mon,” he tugs on your hand and brings you over to the table. “I want my wife with me while I do this.”
He takes a seat at the table, pulling you onto his lap as he lays his left hand onto the table. The tattoo artist confirms that Harry is ready before dipping the tattoo pen in the ink and begins to write your name in small letters across Harry’s finger as your wedding photographer takes pictures, her assistant shooting a video of the moment. Your eyes travel from Harry’s face to the work being done on his finger. His eyes meet yours and he puckers his lips, you lean in to kiss him softly.
“Are you… does it hurt? It seems like that would be a painful spot.”
“Nothing hurts with you by my side.” He smiled, placing a soft kiss on your shoulder.
“Ugh,” you groaned. “So corny. But I guess I can let it slide today. I mean, you are getting my name permanently etched on your body.”
“My wife is so merciful,” he said, his thumb absentmindedly running across your hip.
After a few more minutes, the tattoo was finished and Harry held his left hand up to admire the work. You grasped his wrist and moved it in front of your face. “Hmm… that’s not how you spell my name.”
“What?!” Harry pulled his hand out of your grip and held it up close to his eyes. “Wait, yes it is.”
“I know, I was just messing with you.” You laughed. “It’s perfect Harry, I love it.”
“And I love you, my wife.”
“I love you too, husband.”

“I CALL TOP BUNK!!” Seungmin screeched the second he registered the twin bunk beds in their resident villa.
“Hey, that’s so unfair!” Chan called from behind him, a frown on his face. Jeongin grumbled as Minho jogged past the eldest and flung his bag onto the other top bunk.
Innie and Chan exchanged glances; evil twin smirks on their faces as they planned with their eyes.
Meanwhile, the kitten and the puppy were internally cheering at the idea of snatching the top bunks from the disgruntled maknae and hyung.
“Hey—you two, off.” Came Chan’s stern voice. Minho stuck his tongue out and Seungmin copied him.
“Let’s just talk.” Jeongin smiled, an eerie, mysterious grin that sent shivers up Minnie’s spine.
The two got off of the bed, just for both the maknae and the hyung to grab Minho’s body and drag him to the floor, albeit a little difficult with the kitten’s struggling.
“Oho, you’re not going anywhere…” Chan threatened, using one arm to pin Minho’s arms lazily to his chest, his other hand deep cutting under Min’s shirt and plunging a singular finger into his belly button.
Poor Minho screeched immediately, loud laughter pouring from him as he kicked out behind Chan’s back.
Minho blushed a deep red as Jeongin simpered down at him teasingly. “You ready, hyung?~”
He didn’t even wait for the kitten to answer before his fingers were digging harshly into the older’s tummy.
All of their laughter blended together, a perfect harmony of happy snorts and a plethora of cute squeals and giggles.
“NOHOHO Ihihinnieee PLEHEHEAHA!!” Minho griped, a wide smile on his face.
Chan teasingly moved his fingers to the kitten’s ribs, digging in harshly.
“CHAAAAHAAHAN!! NOHOHO PLEHEHEASE NOHOHOHO!!” Minho went weak with laughter, propelling his feet in the air as Chan counted his ribs provokingly.
“IHIHINNIEEEE!!” The second eldest screamed when Jeongin moved to his armpits, scribbling in with a fervor.
“What is it, hm? You’re laughing so cutely but you can’t escape…” Jeongin squeezed his hands around Minho’s wrists just to remind the dancer of his inevitable punishment.
“YOUHUHUUURE SOHOHO MEHEHEHEAN!!” Poor Min squeaked, twisting around fruitlessly. “PLEHEHEHEASE TAHAHAHAKE THEHEM OHOHOHOFF!!” He referred to Jeongin’s tickling fingers.
“Mmm…you sound so cute though! Maybe I’ll keep going a little while more…” Innie decided. Minho whimpered at that, eyes pleading as his face burned in humiliation. He was really getting pinned and wrecked by the maknae.  How embarrassing.
Chan decided to move, starting to tickle the boy’s ribs again.
“HYUHUHUHUNG!! PLEHEHEHEASE—NO—DOHONT STAHAHART AGAAIINNN!!” Minho whined through high-pitched hysterics as Chan frowned, shaking his head and restarting on the kitten’s ribs, grabbing one at a time and vibrating it, playing with the bone, something poor Minho absolutely couldn’t take. “STAHAHAHAHAAA!!”
“Sensitive little ribs, are they?” Chan mused, a small smile on his face as he continued to wreck the poor cat to oblivion.
“YEHEHEHEHA!! NOHOW LET GOHOHO!!”
“No~”
That little shit. Minho glared at him, though it was a little difficult considering Chan’s fingers wouldn’t let him stop laughing.
In a last-ditch attempt to piss the lers off, Minho took a deep breath and sealed his lips, cheeks flushing pink as he tried to hold in his laughter.
It was working. They was visibly frustrated and kept digging deeper into the kitten’s torso, trying to prompt Minnie into laughing.
Finally, Seungmin threw the younger’s shirt up and took a deep breath himself, and Minho’s eyes widened moments before Mong’s lips attached to his belly button.
The veins in his neck strained as he whimpered through his teeth, Min kicked around, finally giving in the minute the puppy blew a loud raspberry into his side.
“PFFT—HAAAHAHAHAAA!! NOHOHO PLEASE IHIHIM SOHOHOHOHORRYYY!!” Minho pleaded, a wide smile on his face as he grew weaker to the relentless tickling.
Raspberry after raspberry after raspberry.
Minho’s laughter had silenced, and he was thrashing around crazily, Jeongin’s fingers continuing to vibrate deeper and deeper into his v-line, Chan’s hands shaking his rib cage and raspberries making him wheeze, letting out a high-pitched squeal that sent butterflies into the lers’ stomach.
“Okay okay, he might die.” Innie smiled down as Minho’s eyes formed crescents, unfiltered joy on his face as he beamed in laughter.
However, the second the maknae had let him go, he was pinned. “Ohhh, shit.”
Min raised his eyebrows. “You think you can tickle me and just get away with it? I only let one person do that.”
“We all know you have a soft spot for Lix, hyung.” Jeongin rolled his eyes, making Minho scoff.
“You’re just asking for it, little brat.” He pinned Jeongin’s arms out to the side, leaning in and blowing a buzzing raspberry directly onto Innie’s neck.
“AGH!! HYUHUHUNG NOHOHO!!” Jeongin squealed, happily kicking his feet and laughing his cute, crinkly laugh.
Minho only continued, melting Jeongin into a pile of laughter as Chan and Seungmin scrambled over to help, the leader picking to scribble his fingers up under the maknae’s shirt, while the puppy grabbed one ankle and tickled up the arch of Innie’s foot.
Jeongin screamed, the tickly feelings blended together and left him a puddle of hysterics on the floor as he frantically drummed his feet and was weakened to Minho’s raspberries.
“NOHOHO!! No—plehease Chahannie noho…” The maknae panted when Chan’s fingers stopped underneath his armpits. He squeaked when they received a poke.
“Okay, heeeere we go!” Channie announced with a grin, digging into them with a “dudududu” sound effect.
Jeongin squealed, twisting as loud cackles bubbled out of him.
“NOHOHOHOT THEHEHEHEHERE!!” He wheezed. “PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!”
The hyung’s only continued their tickly movements until Jeongin’s laughter had silenced, only gasps of air were heard.
Meanwhile, Chan had let go of the maknae, and Jeongin was panting, strength returning to his body slowly.
The second Chan tried to stand up, a piercing war cry echoed through the room, courtesy of Jeongin, and he startled. Minho successfully grabbed his arms and pulled him into his lap, with Channie squealing and everything.
Min wrapped his legs around Chan‘s thigh, handing one arm to each of the maknaes to take.
“Wait—Min please…I’m sorry.” Chan tried to explain. Minho nodded mockingly. “Bad I forgive you. But you still deserve this, so it’s happening.”
He stretched out Channie’s torso, fingers poised above the eldest’s tummy.
“Urghh…” Chan shut his eyes from the anticipation, peeking every few seconds.
Minho kept them there for a few minutes before suddenly descending his hands onto Chris’s hypersensitive upper body.
Jeongin and Seungmin handled one of his arms, tickling under it until Channie squealed, while Minho got to work.
Digging into his ribs, scribbling along his chest, counting his abs, Minho did everything he could think of to possible torment their poor leader.
And how’s Chan reacting to this, you ask? He was not okay. Loud screams and laughter poured from him, his eyes crinkling up in the familiar way it did when he laughed far too much.
“M-MIHIHHIHINN!!” He pleaded. “IIHHIHITS TOOHO MUHUHUHUCH AHAAHAHAAAAHHAA!!”
Minho could tell the leader was exhausted from their trip, but refused to sleep anyway. Perhaps this was a way they could tire him out.
“We’ll stop when you promise to sleep tonight.” Jeongin voiced Minho’s thoughts.
“BUHUHUT SLEEHEHEEP IS SO BOHOHOHORING!!” Chan squeaked, but only regretting it when the fingers dig deeper into his torso.
“OKAHAHAHAY!! OKAY OKAY FIHHIHIHINE!! IHILL SLEHEHEHEHEEEP!!”
Finally, the fingers stopped. “Good job, hyung.” Minho murmured, gently caressing Channie’s face to remove all traces of tears.
“Mmmhmhm...” Came Channie’s reply.
“Wait. Someone here hasn’t gotten wrecked.” Jeongin noticed Seungmin sneakily trying to leave the room, and immediately grabbed his ankle.
“We haven’t gotten you yet, have we?”
Seungmin screamed and tried to run, just to get pulled down back onto his soon to be lers’ laps.
Hands crashed onto his body, some attacking his upper torso while others attacked his thighs. Minnie was thrashing immediately, deep laughter pouring helplessly from his lips.
“OHOHOHO NOHOHOHO PLEHEHEASEE!!” He squealed, a desperate attempt to satiate their need for his laughter. It didn’t work.
“Cutie~ Smile for us, baby.” Chan cooed, digging deeper into the puppy’s armpits.
Mong cackled breathlessly, the hands never let up, only keeping him in his constant hysterics as he twisted and squirmed beneath their grasp.
Minho teasingly dipped a finger into the puppy’s belly button, Seungmin following by throwing his head back and laughing, howled screams pouring from him.
“STAHAHAHAHAAGHH!!” He wailed before his laughter cut out fully, tears dripping down his cheeks in his mirth.
After a few very ticklish kisses, the boys laid on the floor, panting and smiling.
Who got the top bunk in the end, you ask? Well, after everything had happened, they had decided to nap with Lixie and Sungie, only more cackles fueling their ler moods as Jisung screamed with laughter, cheeks red and wet, five pairs of hands wiggling all over his body…

HERMANN DUNCKER HOTEL
This beautifully dilapidated building in the German hills has seen many purposes throughout its existence. It would appear that at one point an effort was made to restore the magnificent builsing to its former glory. Unfortunately (and lucky for us, urban explorers, those works were abandoned aswell...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Due to the wide hills and forests in the area, Schierke became known as a place where one could fully enjoy "healthy air". At a time when spas were becoming popular, it was only a matter of time before the first spa hotels appeared here too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This particular one, built between 1909 and 1912 in the hamlet of Barenberg, opened its doors as "Villa Waldpark" in 1912. The spa did not have a long life. During the Second World War it was used as a military hospital.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 1924 the building was expanded with a dining room and after the renovation work was renamed hotel "Barenberger Hof". From then on it was used as a holiday home, or "Erholungsheim".
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The building remained in use by successive operators until German unification in 1989. It has been empty since then. A Berlin investment group bought the dilapidated building with the intention of restoring it to its former glory and operating it again as a hotel. So far nothing has come of those plans and the building soon fell prey to vandals and arsonists... Renovation works came to a standstill as quickly as they had started and it looks more and more like that "Villa Waldpark" will not be possible. more will be able to escape the demolition hammer...

Can you give me a little TL:DR for begore the brazilians came? It's just too much to accompany and im lazy, sorry-
Anon, there is a ton to go over, but I'll just give you some big plot points okay? I'll try to organize them! People please reblog/comment with more points. Sit back. Hold your breath. This won't be in exact order, and this is slightly English POV heavy, but it's what I can think of right now.
Before Eggs:
The original Spanish and English members arrive on a train, split into two groups. They solve puzzles to escape and blow up the wall that was separating them both.
They 'meet' the Duck through videos, telling them what to and most importantly, to not blow up the wall, which Vegetta immediately does.
They meet Osito Bimbo / Cucurucho , a fully white snowman/bear like creature that claims they're from the QSMP census bureau. Seems harmless, and some fun is had with them.
La Villa de Sacapuntas is created, consisting of Wilbur, Jaiden, Phil, and Slimecicle, serving as an early civilization and interaction before Spreen, Missa and Roier took it over. Lots of lighthearted events here, great interactions between people.
Everything is lighthearted for a bit until the egg event. I honestly recommend watching day 1 vods.
Egg Event:
Live translation is introduced, as well as the eggs! Players are introduced to the concept, rules and partnerships regarding the eggs, which are as follows:
The eggs are Dragon eggs, and players must protect them until the mother returns.
Each Egg has two lives. They may be lost through dying or failing to complete egg tasks (Lethal and Happiness tasks)
The family with the happiest egg will be rewarded, and any families with eggs that die will be punished.
Each family has a partner who speaks a different language (minus single parents, Bad and Quackity)
If an egg bed is broken, the egg loses a life.
Everyone adopts their eggs, names them and gets their partners. Some parents, like Phil and Missa and Spreen and Fit, have one of their partners go on a trip, so they're basically single parents.
Families begin, some more stable than others, and egg personalities are learned.
Family Disputes, Early deaths, and Satan:
In the early days of the eggs being around, there were a few deaths, but none permanent.
Families like Charlie and Mariana, Quackity and Tilin and Max and Dan quickly show how dysfunctional they are. Either with outright arguments or lack of proper interaction with their egg. But everyone tries their best
Families like Roier and Jaiden, Philza and Missa, and Bad and Dapper are very positive and have little issues for the most part. Everyone is becoming attatched to these eggs.
A new person joins the party: Satan (The Devil) and Lil J (The Angel/Jesus). Played by Rubius, each of these characters talk with the parents and give them rewards for performing tasks. The Angel also has contact with a higher God, allowing eggs to be revived or given another life.
Egg Death 1: Misclick
After going AFK, Mariana accidentally clicks on Juanaflippas bed and destroys it, taking her last life.
Everyone is distraught, especially Charlie.
Charlie goes a bit insane. He starts a plan of revenge, trying to murder all the other eggs in an attempt to bring Juanaflippa back. He fails and is talked down.
Egg Death 1.2: The Rebirth of Juanaflippa and The Court Case
After failing to kill the other eggs, Charlie starts a court case against Mariana. He gets five lawyers. He kind of loses.
This is honestly a stream worth watching from any POV. Very funny.
The Judge allows Juanaflippa to be reborn. The dysfunctional family is back together.
Charlie and Mariana make up and have sex. Again. This happens multiple times on screen. I hate them
Egg Death 1.3: She fucking died
After Charlie exiles himself, Juanaflippa and Mariana stay in the greater island.
Mariana, while fighting a vindicator, fucking kills Juanaflippa again
Osito Bimbo visits Charlie in exile to tell him his egg is dead. Charlie doesn't believe them, and they have an argument.
Both parents are in a strong stage of grief, wanting to kill other eggs sometimes.
There is a semi-ongoing attempt to bring her back.
Egg Death 2: The Neglect of Trump
After the court case, Trump loses his second life. His parents are Maximus and DanTDM- Dan hasn't been on since the beginning, and Max forgot to take care of him.
Maximus goes a little crazy after. I don't remember the details but he started like, eating a lot
Trump has been found in the promotional posters tho?? And there's a lot sus about him. Don't quote me on that though.
Egg Death 3: Misclick PT.2 + Quackitys downfall
Before Juanaflippa died the second time, she and Charlie were taking care of Tilin. Tilin was going to go with Roier, who usually took care of them, but Charlie took her instead. During the night, Charlie accidentally hit Tilin while fighting a mob with a sword, killing him.
Juanaflippa is distraught that her friend died, Roier is yelling at Charlie, and Charlie and Mariana are officially named misclick duo.
Quackity finds out. He's out for revenge. He goes mental, planning on killing eggs and Charlie. He is eventually talked down a bit by Wilbur, forming his attachment to Tallulah, but it doesn't end there.
(Modern day) Later on, in the strip club, Vegetta and Roier perform a... show.. for Quackity specifically, where Quackity reveals he wants to kill the eggs still. He's basically just been spiraling since his kid died.
The Funeral
The third official event scheduled, the funeral was an event to remember Tilin, Trump and Juanaflippa. Slimecicle watches from exile as the other parents of the dead kids speak.
Mariana tries to blow up the chapel and everyone in it. He was stopped.
They all go to the graveyard after, where the cameras are destroyed (Max thought they were from the census bureau), and Osito Bimbo appears.
Osito leads the parents to a place, much like a limbo, where they can see their dead eggs one more time. Charlie comes back from exile for this.
Bad and Spreen fight lmao
As a result, Quackity asks Charlie to fight, and Charlie lets him win.
Wilburs return/Tallulah
I think he technically came back a bit before the funeral
But when Wilbur returns after being on Tour, him Fit and Phil go to the adoption center and check the attic.
They find an egg, Tallulah, and Wilbur adopts her.
They spend the day making the house, when Quackity comes up to him
Quackity thinks Wilbur is the father of Tilin, so they have a whole argument, and Wilbur goes to Tilins grave.
They end on decent terms, but later on Quackity insists on taking care of Tallulah, calling her his adoptive daughter, etc. Even when Phil is taking care of her. You see this become a bigger issue in recent streams
The Rise of Gegg
Charlie Slimecicle, grief-ridden and poor, makes a plan with Quackity to make a fake egg to rob people. It quickly gets out of hand.
Charlie morphs into a green, squishy egg and is found In a room in the adoption center. By using the excuse that Charlie is in exile, and with this egg acting like a regular egg, Gegg is now created.
Quackity adopts Gegg but quickly abandons him, so Gegg has to interact with others for help
Not many people really like Gegg. But Charlie is committed to the bit. He is Gegg now. Gegg is real. Gegg has taken over Charlie. Gegg. Gegg. Gegg.
Six Days.
The members get a video stating that in six days, their eggs will die. There is also a secret code in the video that hasn't canonically been solved
Panic and disbelief obviously happen, and parents take the time to take care of their kids and do extra events with them.
The night before the sixth was very emotional.
Parents wake up to their kids being gone, and the Brazilians coming in the ship.
Other points I couldn't fit in:
There are so many relationships, flirting and cheating that there's no way for me to list them all. But it does create drama. This is gay island at this point. LGBTQsmp.
The mobs are progressively getting stronger and harder, with new strange mobs appearing
The Code Monster, as we see more of now, attacked Phil before he and Fit killed them.
Roier becomes a psychologist and also has a female counterpart named Melissa.
There are some cases where people have "Nightmares," aka noncanon egg deaths. Sometimes there's a mob that is uneccessarily strong, lag happens, or other circumstances that lead them to giving the egg their life back and the event being retconned. Examples of this are Chayanne and Tallulah, Dapper, and Bobby
Luzu has a whole arc about being like, a robot? Arin? But I'm not caught up on that. Someone help
Bad is often the designated babysitter for eggs, followed by Phil
Maximus is actually a really fucking good actor and won awards for roleplaying. Fun fact
Maximus had a chess match with Osito Bimbo, which ended up in Osito giving him information.
I'm going to tell you right now, I could probably make a whole other list of running inside jokes
Quackity is canonically two people. English Quackity and Spanish Quackity
Roier got stabbed by Spreen with the help of Quackity, and is now looking for revenge
Check out clip channels/tiktoks for fun stuff. There's some blogs here too!
Hope this helped some, Anon! I know this is a big read but I hope you can at least scan and understand. If anyone has anything to add please reblog!

Behind the Facade || Rafe Cameron
Tumblr media
authors note: so i uploaded this last night but i took down. there were so many small errors i missed and i wanted to take some things out and add to it. this storyline is from the white lotus season 2, it’s very rafe coded.
synopsis: during a seemingly perfect Italian getaway, Y/N and Rafe's marriage unravels beneath the surface. Y/N's manipulative behavior and Rafe's infidelity become evident, creating tension and suspicion. As Jess uncovers unsettling clues, Y/N maintains her flawless facade, revealing the darkness behind their perfect image.
warnings: infidelity, manipulation, deception
Y/N and Rafe had been eagerly anticipating their two-week escape to Italy—a luxurious retreat that promised a break from their demanding lives, along with Topper and his wife, Jess. It was meant to be a time for relaxation, away from Cameron Development, their hectic careers, and the chaos of raising children while building their dream home.
Though they had known each other for nearly a decade, and been married for two of those years, Y/N had witnessed Rafe’s journey through every high and low. From his strained relationships with his family, climbing up the ladder at his father’s company, his reckless spending, and the painful truths of his infidelity and drug addiction. To the world, they seemed to have it all—a perfect marriage, a flawless home, well-behaved children, and a life without blemishes.
Jess found the dynamics of Y/N and Rafe’s marriage puzzling. They were constantly affectionate, their laughter spilling into Jess and Topper’s room at all hours. The sounds of their moans only added to Jess’s growing frustration. How could their relationship seem so flawless when hers felt so ordinary?
When Y/N mentioned that they would be staying the night at a palazzo she had just booked, Jess’s unease deepened. It wasn’t just a day trip anymore. Something about it felt off.
“So, you’re playing games with him?” Jess asked, her tone a mixture of confusion and curiosity. She had been trying to understand Y/N’s sudden shift in plans.
Y/N chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with a secret amusement. “We both do it. Keeps things interesting. I’m going to call him and let them know we’re staying the night.”
The phone call with Rafe was filled with tension. “Hey baby! How’s Noto?” Rafe’s voice crackled with forced cheerfulness.
“Amazing. Listen, I think we’re going to spend the night at the palazzo I just booked. Jess is waiting in the pool for me—”
“Wait—pool? You booked a palazzo?” Rafe’s voice was strained, his anger barely contained. Y/N could hear the clenching of his jaw even through the phone.
“Yeah, baby. Look, I’m going to go. You guys have fun, though!” Y/N ended the call with a dismissive tone, not waiting for Rafe’s reply.
Topper watched Rafe’s reaction closely. His friend’s face turned a shade of red that suggested barely contained rage. Rafe’s knuckles were white around the phone, and he muttered, “She always pulls this shit, man.” Topper was baffled. The anger in Rafe’s voice, coupled with the cryptic comment, made him think back to Jess’s constant bitching that, “No one’s marriage is that perfect.” This fueled an uneasiness in Topper, but the alcohol he consumed seemed to blur his thoughts.
As the evening went on, Topper’s inebriation reached its peak. He was laying on the bathroom floor, desperately trying to call Jess while battling a wave of nausea. His vision swam throughout the bathroom and into the living room, and he froze. There was Rafe with two prostitutes, one he was balls deep in, and another he was kissing. The sight was too much. Topper wanted to intervene, to say or do something but the alcohol had numbed his reactions. He closed his eyes, trying to erase the image from his mind.
After returning to the palazzo, Jess felt a gnawing anxiety as she explored the villa alone. The pristine luxury of the place now felt suffocating. When she found a condom wrapper on the floor, her heart raced and adrenaline was pumping through her veins. The discovery was like a slap in the face, forcing her to confront the unsettling possibility of betrayal. She tried to keep her composure, but the feeling of betrayal and fear was almost overwhelming.
When dinner time arrived, Jess attempted to steady herself. She stood in front of the bathroom mirror, taking deep breaths. Lighting a cigarette, she watched the flame flicker as she inhaled deeply, trying to calm her nerves. The smoke seemed to envelop her in a temporary shield, but it did little to ease her growing anxiety. As she walked outside to join Y/N, she felt a mix of horror and defeat.
“Where did the boys go?” Jess asked, her voice tinged with both curiosity and tension as she joined Y/N, who was casually sipping a glass of wine.
“To find cigars,” Y/N replied, her tone nonchalant, a small, almost unnoticeable smile on her lips.
The silence that followed was thick with unspoken words. Jess’s hands trembled slightly as she took another drag from her cigarette, her eyes darting around nervously. Y/N noticed the distress etched on Jess’s face and could sense the unease radiating from her. She knew what had likely transpired in their absence, and she understood the weight of Jess’s unspoken questions.
“You doing okay?” Y/N asked gently, her voice soft and inviting. She leaned back on the couch, her gaze steady and unyielding.
“I think something happened in Noto… while we were gone,” Jess said, her voice cracking slightly. She fought to hold back tears, her emotions a tumultuous mix of confusion and pain. Her hands fumbled with the cigarette, the ash falling onto the ground as she tried to steady her trembling fingers.
Y/N’s eyes softened as she looked at Jess. Her demeanor remained composed, “I’m sure whatever happened isn’t a big deal. But if it did happen, you just… do what you have to do to make yourself feel better about it.”
Jess swallowed hard, trying to make sense of Y/N’s words. She looked confused, lost, but Y/N remained unbothered, her expression unreadable as she casually played with her nails.
“I have this trainer in the city—JJ,” Y/N said suddenly, her tone light. “He’s so handsome, with blonde hair and big blue eyes. He’s really funny too. I spend more time with him than Rafe sometimes, because he’s just so busy at work.”
Jess stared at Y/N, unsure where this conversation was headed. “Do you want to see a picture of him?” Y/N asked, not waiting for a response before pulling out her phone.
Jess took the phone and looked at the picture. Her confusion deepened when she realized what she was seeing. “This is just a picture of your kids.”
Y/N smiled, her expression serene. “Oh, is it? Whoops. I’ll find it later.”
Jess handed the phone back, her mind reeling. The air between them grew heavy with tension, an awkward silence settling over the conversation. Jess felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her—confusion, anxiety, and a creeping sense of dread. Was Y/N trying to tell her something?
Y/N’s voice broke the silence. “Anyways, the point is… maybe you should get a trainer.” The words were delivered so smoothly, so casually, that Jess almost missed their meaning. But as the realization dawned on her, she felt a wave of nausea wash over her. Her mind raced as she tried to process what Y/N was implying, her stomach churning with the uncomfortable truth she was beginning to understand.
The silence between them stretched on, thick and oppressive. Jess could hardly breathe, her thoughts spiraling as she tried to reconcile the image of the perfect wife sitting beside her with the cold, calculating words that had just been spoken. She looked at Y/N again, but this time, there was something different in her eyes—something darker, more detached.
Y/N would never openly admit to cheating on Rafe. She loved him in her own way, but she knew he loved other women too. To the world, she was perfect—her marriage, her children, her life. She had everything she could ever want and made sure everyone knew it.
She’d do anything to maintain the illusion, anything to keep herself from feeling like a victim. Because being a victim meant losing control, and Y/N had vowed long ago that she would never let that happen. She had built her life around being untouchable, and she wasn’t about to let anyone—or anything—tear down the walls she had carefully constructed. As she sipped her wine, Y/N felt a sense of satisfaction. She glanced at Jess, who still looked lost and overwhelmed, and gave her a small nod, as if to say, This is how you survive.
In Jess’s mind, Y/N was not just surviving—she was thriving. She had created a world where she was in control, where she dictated the terms of her life, and where she refused to be seen as anything less than perfect.
Because for Y/N, being perfect wasn’t just a role she played—it was her armor, her shield against the imperfections of the world. And she would do whatever it took to keep that armor intact, even if it meant deceiving everyone around her, including herself.

Villa Aroha, Tartosa
Previous| Beginning  | Next
Transcript under the cut
Emma: Robert, there’s someone here for you
Robert: Who-
Elizabeth: Hello darling
Robert: What are you doing here? You are supposed to be in Etrium
Elizabeth: Dad went without me
Robert: It's not that I didn’t want you here. But Dad-
Elizabeth: Doesn’t make things easy.
Robert: That’s an understatement. Alexandra was suffocating - on the brink of leaving
Elizabeth: Why didn’t you come to me?
Robert: I- I didn’t know if you would be on my side
Elizabeth: I guess I can’t blame you for that. Pause.  Was she really going to leave you?
Robert: Yes
Elizabeth: If Alex couldn’t handle the wedding planning, how is she going to handle life with our family.
Robert: Mum-
Elizabeth: It is a legitimate question Robert
Robert: If you don’t support us why did you come here?
Elizabeth: I didn’t say I didn’t support you sweetheart. But you can’t escape to Tartosa every time you don’t get your own way
Robert: You make me sound like a petulant child
Elizabeth: I have been married to your father for 35 years, and in that time I have had to learn and compromise.
Robert: Which is why we are doing this first and then going along with the big event
Elizabeth: This is hiding from your father.
I can see that you love Alexandra. But this is just the beginning of your life together and your responsibilities are not going anywhere.
Robert: I will protect her
Elizabeth: I sincerely hope you can sweetheart, because I can see how happy she makes you.
Robert: So we have your blessing?
Elizabeth: Of course.
Elizabeth: Now. You need to get ready, and I have a bride to see.
--
Elizabeth: Hello?
Margaret: Mum? What are you doing here?
Elizabeth: Im here to talk to Alexandra of course
Victoria: Let us get out of your way then.
Elizabeth: Will you sit with me?
Elizabeth: If you were wondering, Anne told me what was happening here this weekend
Alexandra: I’m so sorry, we didn’t mean any disrespect but-
Elizabeth: I’m not angry Alexandra
I haven’t always known how to be a good mother - it isn’t easy balancing a husband, a family, and our responsibilities. You’ll soon understand this, as Victoria did before you
Alexandra: I-
Elizabeth: But I think you are good for each other Alex.
Alexandra: Thank you.
Elizabeth: Anyway, I have brought you a present to properly welcome you into the family. It can be your something new
Alexandra: Oh wow, I can’t accept this - it is too much
Elizabeth: I wanted you to have something that you can build your own story with, and then pass down to your children. It comes, not from the Lancaster's, but from my great-grandmother, who passed it down to me.
