And just like that we’re talking about everything and nothing at all. In a blink the seconds turn into minutes and minutes into hours. What a joy it is to find someone whose existence makes you forget that the world still spins.

the world still spins.
somebody didn’t text you back? the world still spins. you spilled some coffee? the world still spins. you didn’t get the job? the world still spins. you failed a test? the world still spins. they don’t love you back? the world still spins. you lost a friend? the world still spins.
i’m not trying to say that the bad things that happened to you don’t matter and that you should just immediately move on from them, no, not at all! you should always make time and space to feel every thing you’re going through, even the negative experiences.
but sometimes it’s important to remember that you don’t have to dwell in these moments forever. the world keeps on spinning, no matter what, so if the world is capable of doing that despite all the grief that occurs within it, then surely you are able to press forward through your difficult circumstances as well.
just take your time to move on, because the world still spins, even if it does so slowly.

Well, we've met angels and demons before, so... maybe? I guess?
I think the divine has cursed me.

DPXDC Prompt #97
The Justice League fought hard against the anti ecto acts but unfortunately it wasn’t enough and the laws were passed anyways but not before a clause was added to them that states the JL had the right to pull a ghost out of a facility of they had potential to work for them. When they see the potential hero Phantom is caught by the GIW they of course do their best to acquire him. Unfortunately the government sees Phantom as JL property now instead of his own person. Phantom seemed content being trapped on the watchtower and explained it was better than whatever the GIW was planning. Superman thinks something weird is going on with the ghost as when he supposedly went to bed in the room he was assigned he’d temporarily gain a heartbeat again. Constantine is just glad the young prince hasn’t decided to kill anyone in the US congress yet for passing such a ridiculous law. Batman’s adoption senses are tickling.

Something about Inception has always bugged me and I finally figured out what it is
I don’t think Mal doing everything she did to set Cob up should have been the backstory, it should have been the actual story, and the actual inception they have to do is convince her she’s not still in a dream and is awake
Because two energy companies feuding is way more boring than a man realizing he accidentally convinced his wife her reality isn’t real and they have the ticking clock of her Gone Girl-ing herself and getting him arrested to work against
In the movie they have the problem of the guy secretly having had dream training to protect himself but with Mal, she’s as experienced as every other person on the team, she knows every trick they do and would be able to see them coming, meaning they would have to try and come up with new tricks she could not know or anticipate
In the movie the characters think if they die they’ll just wake up like normal and Cob has to tell them that actually they’re under a new chemical that won’t wake them up if they die and they’ll go to the bottom consciousness zone. Know who doesn’t know that? Mal, who will be under the impression that if she kills her husband she’ll be waking him up and saving him from being trapped in the fake dream world with her, making her very ok with tracking him down to kill him and not caring if she kills the others because as far as she knows they’re just dream apparitions
And you can keep the fact that Cob is keeping things from the team like in the movie, only instead of it being that he has a guilt manifestation of his dead wife coming after him in dreams it’s that the team doesn’t know why they’re going into Mal’s dream. All they know is she’s been acting weird towards them and Cob said he accidentally incepted something bad in her head, so they just assume he’s incepted the idea that they screwed her over or something. But they then find out too late that she isn’t mad at them she thinks they’re not real and so will have no problem trying to kill them and there’s nothing they can do to convince her otherwise
And you can still have the uncertain ending. Mal would wake up and think she’s finally in the real world, go out and hug her kids, see her friends and hug them because it’s finally her real friends. But now Cob has spent, to him, hours with Mal doing everything in her power to convince him that what he thinks is the real world is only a dream and as he watches the happy reunion you can see him starting to wonder if this is real

“Set a man to watch all night…”
Hummed, muffled words echoed through the Negotiator’s halls, around corners, behind doors. Every clone, every natborn was on edge, hunted look around their eyes and shoulders. The lights seemed to flicker childhood-bright but to the instruments everything was as it should be.
The campaign had ended so abruptly. A shadow falling over the battlefield like a sun eclipse, Cody’s General… dissolved. For no reason he could discern. Just the perception of Obi-Wan suddenly wavering, literally going up in smoke, and rushing to the sentient enemy commander with a rolling mass of dead groans and screams.
White as a sheet, cowering behind a tank where the smoke left them, the enemy General had begged Cody to accept their capitulation.
Obi-Wan had gone back to his duties, face placid and unassuming. Like nothing of notice had even happened. Cody shivered.
It was the silenced air that had goosebumps break out on Cody’s arms. A forced absence of sounds concentrated in Obi-Wan’s quarters. It let Cody hear the things it wanted him aware of only. Suggestions to his senses he should heed. The steady drip of thick liquid. The blue night-sky-glowing where Obi-Wan’s eyes were supposed to be calm, stormy in color. Not…this.
“General?” Cody asked quietly, eyes adjusting to the dark room. “Obi-Wan? Are you alright?”
“I’ve never felt better, my dear.”
“Are you—“ The lights turned on with a too-loud click and buzz, too bright and Kamino-white. Cody squeezed his eyes shut just to escape.
After a moment he opened them again, blinked against the information his head was picking up automatically. Suppressed the swallow at seeing dark things drip from Obi-Wan’s fingers, onto the table, the floor, his lips. “Are you sure?” Because this seemed anything but okay.
“I am what I’m supposed to be,” Obi-Wan said, almost singing the words, voice melodious and a terror pin pricking Cody’s neck.
