Narnian Saga Family's first event
Harps of Gold
December 0001 AC (Aslan's Country) / December 2555: It came upon the midnight clear, That glorious song of old, From angels bending near the earth To touch their harps of gold: “Peace on the earth, good will to men From heav’n’s all-gracious King.” The world in solemn stillness lay To hear the angels sing.
With the arrival of the first celebrated Yuletide in Aslan's Country, all those who gained entrance to the celebrated country gather at Saltwood Court Palace - now magically increased in size to accommodate the entire civilization of Aslan's Country. It's citizens travel far and wide, traveling by ships on the Great Eastern Ocean, traveling by carriage, or by barge up the Great River, to Saltwood Court Palace, which sits just North of Aslan's Camp and South of Owlwood. Here, the citizens will sit out the harsh winds of winter and take pleasure in exciting hunts, glorious balls, feasts, caroling, poems, and more. Mistletoe and evergreens will be hung is mischievous places, and ivy and holly will adorn every wall, and hot ale and cider available at every beck and whim. Gifts of fruit will be given out to fair maidens in the hopes of receiving a cheeky kiss in return. The Kings and Queens of old will all gather together and oversee this magnificent time as they celebrate Yuletide and Aslan, celebrating both old and new traditions, and magnificent gifts will be dolled out to everyone. Each day will bring new events, and each night will deliver a new feast - but remember, the court will be both merry and solemn as the court reflects on the history of their worlds, lives, and of Aslan.

Character Intro: Physis (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Green Maiden by the people of Olympius
Chipmunk by her mom
Hummingbird by her father
Age- 8 (immortal)
Location- Hearthwood neighborhood, New Olympus
Personality- She's a sweet gentle girl with a shy temperament. She loves enjoying the simplest aspects of nature like walking bare foot on grass or jumping in puddles after a rainstorm.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess. With her current age her powers/abilities are honey generation/manipulation, geokinesis (as of now can only control leaves, mud, dirt, rocks, & pebbles), limited hydrokinesis (as it pertains to lakes, streams, & puddles), limited photokinesis, being able to communicate with woodland animals (is able to shapeshift into a beaver, squirrel, chipmunk, deer, & several small birds), limited vitakinesis (healing), and even limited atmokinesis (as it relates to her mood; for example if she's feeling intense sadness, a raining cloud appears over her head).
Physis is the daughter of a naiad nymph named Syrinx and Pan (god of the wild, satyrs, shepherds, & rustic music).
She lives with her mother in a lakehouse on their private property on the outskirts of the Hearthwood neighborhood of New Olympus. They have an expansive backyard & garden, a few acres of woodland, and a small pond. Physis' bedroom is her oasis painted in cool shades of eggshell, teal, blue, yellow, & green. Decorative branches, chrome butterfly cranes, and a birdhouse-style bedframe is there too along with her favorite humidifier! She has a growing number of small pets like gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, & new white tree frogs named Hoppy, Jelly, Daphne, and Jojo.
Her favorite flower is the daisy. She also likes dandelions- especially blowing away the soft white puffs!
Physis & her parents are proud eco friendly vegans. She loves helping her mom at home with their compost pile. They also use reusable cloth bags when they go grocery shopping, have glass & silicone storage containers, and use metal & bamboo straws.
A go-to drink for her is aloe vera juice. She also likes ginger ale, carrot juice, coconut water, lychee nectar juice, water, orange juice, apple juice, the apple-kiwi-spinach smoothies her mom makes, and watermelon juice. When her & her mom stop by at a Roasted Bean, Physis will usually get the small peach sweet tea.
She loves when her mom makes oatmeal topped with chocolate chips & almond butter for breakfast. She also likes the whole wheat banana pancakes drizzled in maple syrup and the Earthly Harvest fruit crystals cereal (with cold oatmilk).
Even though her father's been around since she was born, Physis was technically introduced to him when he came to her fifth birthday party- an outdoor affair at a public park in the state of Arcadia. Physis saw him walk in holding a wrapped gift and she instantly recognized him! She remembered seeing photos of him holding her as a baby and small toddler in a tucked away photo album hidden in her mom's drawer. She remained sitting atop her father's shoulders for the rest of the party- mesmerized & constantly touching his large curved glossy brown horns. He even performed an original song he wrote for her! Their relationship is still going strong with her mom allowing her visits & overnight stays with him biweekly and some weekends. They communicate often through letters.
Her favorite snacks are pear-applesauce & prickly pear flavored gummy bears.
Physis attends an esteemed private school in the city. She's a third grader with other godly kids in her grade like Hebe (goddess of youth), Paidia (goddess of play & amusement), Caerus (god of opportunity & luck); she thinks he's too much of a jokester, Prophasis (goddess of excuses), and Myrízei (god of smell & gases); who she says hi to. Her best friends are Aceso (goddess of healing) & Mneme (goddess of remembrance). Physis is also friendly with Xenia (goddess of hospitality) who's in the fourth grade. She's aware of the godly fifth graders like Aidos (goddess of shame, modesty, humility, & respect), Ersa (goddess of morning dew), Melete (goddess of thought & meditation), Calleis (goddess of allurement), and Eulabeia (goddess of caution).
Her favorite class is science and she really enjoyed the class trip to the New Olympus Zoo- her favorite part being the panda exhibit! She even bought a stuffed panda at the zoo's gift shop.
For her seventh birthday, Physis got a silver necklace with a pan flute charm from her father which she wears all the time.
Her favorite guilty pleasure are tortilla chips with guacamole!
Physis doesn't know and haven't met any of her older half siblings.
In the pantheon she really admires Iris (goddess of the rainbow), Eikono (goddess of iconography & literature), Méli (goddess of bees & honey), Demeter (goddess of the harvest & agriculture), Thalia (muse of comedy), Gaia (goddess of the earth), and Tithonus (god of insects) who Physis has started developing a little crush on.
Her favorite frozen treat are carrot-ginger ice pops! She likes when Aceso's mom Epione (goddess of soothing pain) makes them!
Physis & her mom have a close bond. She loves cuddling up with her on the couch watching it rain from the window & she's even being taught archery by her! They also build birdhouses. Hair day is also a great bonding moment for them. When Physis gets older she wants to get dreadlocks just like her parents, but for now her thick curly brown hair is kept natural. Go-to products are the Hairology soap free sweet sandalwood shampoo & conditioner bars and the Glory's Crown bamboo ginseng curling elixir.
Her favorite dessert from Hollyhock's Bakery is the lemon olive oil cake. She also likes her mom's oatmeal peanut butter-chocolate chip granola squares.
She doesn't eat fast food often so when she does, it's a welcome treat. Her favorite thing to get from Olympic Chef is the spicy black bean burger with small sweet potato fries and tofu nuggets (with sweet & sour dipping sauce).
Some of her favorite meals include spicy chickpea chili, sticky & spicy baked cauliflower with white rice, sweet plantains (fried in peanut oil), and curried tofu collard green wraps (with spicy peanut sauce).
In her free time Physis enjoys climbing trees, swimming, reading, bike riding, jump rope, lanyard, knitting, gardening, indoor rock climbing, going to the park, horseback riding, drawing, kite flying, surfing, football (soccer), & basketball.
"Sometimes, nature is all someone needs."

Dietary Guidelines for Kidney Stone Prevention
A kidney stone is a solid piece of material that moves from the ureter via the urinary tract and into the kidney. It is made from uric acid, a waste product that is generally excreted with urine. Kidney stones can be formed by an excess of uric acid in your body or a mineral imbalance such as calcium and oxalate. A high-fat, high-cholesterol diet will also raise uric acid levels in the body over time. However, not all kidney stones are created equal. The most frequent sort of kidney stone is caused by an excess of calcium and oxalate in the urine. These minerals combine as crystals to make stones.
Preventing Kidney Stones through Diet-
The most crucial step in preventing kidney stone formation is to drink plenty of fluids and stick to a diet. In fact, the healthiest kidney stone diet consists primarily of fruits and vegetables. You can avoid oxalates by eating vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, potatoes, lettuce, and green beans. Citrus fruits, such as grapes, oranges, and lemons, are also effective in preventing kidney stone formation. Drinking citrus fruit juices is also an excellent technique to combat kidney stones.
Increasing your calcium intake is critical for lowering your risk of kidney stones. Dairy products contain calcium, which you get from your diet. Breakfast should consist of a glass of milk and calcium-fortified food such as bread. You can also consume rice or oats for lunch. Both have minimal oxalate levels and are not associated with kidney stones.
The dietary habits listed below can help prevent kidney stones-
Avoid high doses of vitamin C supplements-
Oxalates, which are found in vitamin C supplements, can cause calcium oxalate kidney stones if consumed in excess. Some studies have also revealed that taking vitamin C supplements can develop kidney stones in those who are not predisposed to them. Because oxalate is a result of vitamin C degradation.
Avoid vitamin D supplements-
Excessive vitamin D use can potentially result in kidney stones, especially if you do not get enough sunlight. Those who have a history of kidney stones should avoid taking vitamin D supplements completely.
Avoid extra calcium supplements-
Excessive calcium supplementation might potentially increase the risk of kidney stones. Those who have had kidney stones in the past should avoid calcium supplements to limit the chance of recurrence.
Limit your salt intake-
Salt (sodium) raises the calcium level in your urine. Limit your daily salt consumption to less than 2300mg.
To cut back on salt/sodium:
·        Purchase fresh or salt-free items such as fruit, vegetables, fresh meats, chicken, fish, eggs, oatmeal, rice, and pasta.
·        The majority of sodium (75%) comes from processed foods. Limit salty processed meals such as soup, sauces, gravy, crisps, and snack foods.
·        The best options are "low salt" or "no added salt" foods. As a general rule, salt content should be less than 150 mg per serving. It is important to note that certain "reduced salt" goods may still contain excessive quantities of sodium.
·        Do not use salt at the table or in the kitchen.
What else can I do?
·        Dried mustard powder, freshly ground pepper
·        Vinegar, lemon juice, lime juice, and a sprinkle of dried or chopped fresh herbs
·        Garlic, curry powder, chilli powder, onion, fresh ginger, and spring onions
Limit oxalate-rich foods-
·        Reducing oxalate in your diet helps to reduce oxalate levels in your urine.
·        Reduce your consumption of rhubarb, spinach, silverbeet, beetroot, eggplant, sweet potato, celery, leeks, almonds, and peanut paste.
·        orange juice and strong black tea Chocolate wheat bran and wheat germ berries (strawberries and blackberries, for example), dried figs
Drink a lot of fluids-
·        Drink additional fluids, particularly water. When you do not drink enough water, you may get gastrointestinal problems and constipation.
·        Water helps to wash away stone-forming chemicals in the kidney, making stones less prone to develop.
·        Drink at least 3 litres (12 cups) of fluid per day. Water should make up at least half of this (soda, mineral, spring, or plain tap water).
·        Drink a cup of fluid (250ml) every hour during the day, and a large glass of water before bed. If you wake up in the middle of the night, drink a glass of water.
·        Distribute your fluid consumption throughout the day.
Increase your consumption of fruits and vegetables-
Excessive consumption of dry fruits is discouraged. Almonds prevent the production of stones.
The most crucial factor in avoiding kidney stone formation is to drink enough of fluids and stay hydrated. In general, a diet high in fruits and vegetables can help you avoid kidney stones. In addition to following a kidney stone diet, you should avoid taking too much vitamin C, too much vitamin D, and too much calcium. If you notice kidney issues, you should visit BEST UROLOGIST IN PUNE.

Tips To Keep In Mind As You Cook Vegan Sweet Treats
Well, the process is simple. You just have a few things in mind as you prepare recipes in an all-vegan fashion! Of course, converting to a vegan is a conscious decision you have taken for animal welfare and are planning to invest in dishes that benefit the entire food chain. We are here to help you out with the same! Follow some easy steps to keep in mind as you plan to cook tasty vegan sweet treats! Shall we have a quick look at them?
Words to keep in mind as you prepare vegan sweet treats-
1. Be careful when you add sugar to your dish-
you must be wondering why to bother about the sugar content in the recipe but let us tell you that it is very important. Specific sugar cubes and crystals are glazed with bone char. The bones of cattle are used for bleaching the sugar crystals to make them appear white. Hence you will end up making a vegan dish with animal-derivative! Such intricacies are fundamental to keep in check. Sugar crystals made from sugar beets are the right source of obtaining sugar for vegan sweet treats.
2. Do not be bothered with flour-
The best part about using flour for the preparation of a vegan dessert is that all kinds of flour are fine to be used as a content for such recipes! Unless they are bleached with bone char it is absolutely safe for you to use them. Although if you wish to maintain complete safety then the almond flour or nut flour is the best option to indulge in.
3. Always research before you bake-
Sometimes it is hard for you to tell whether an item is vegan and not and hence you have to research about the product before you add it to the dessert dough. Honey, gelatin and whey are certainly animal derived and cannot be used for the preparation of the vegan dish!
4. Do not worry-
The final step is to stop worrying! If you are scared then you will never end up making the dish right! Conduct a couple of research before you make the dish and you are good to go.
We have come up with some sweet treats in all vegan styles that you can prepare this season!

Ok so I've heard before that people can use witchcraft to work alongside their medications, I was wondering if you knew some tips on how to do that? If it's of any importance I wish to use this to on my antidepressants. Also I don't have many crystals and what I do I'm still working on identifying. Also something broom closet friendly. Please and thank you.
Also I really appreciate all the helpful tips I've seen on your blog they really help.
First of all, this is a really great question, and I love how you phrased it so politely. Thank you for not coming into my ask box and raging hell like so many others. If you don't mind, I'll be using your question as a post!
Witchcraft can be a helpful little friend when it comes to helping along medications and therapies, so let's talk about the safety aspect of it first. If you're planning on eating, drinking, or consuming any kind of herbal/magical/spell-like substance, ask your prescriber about what to avoid while taking medications. For example, I take Zoloft, and Zoloft shouldn't be taken with L-tryptophan supplements because it can cause issues. I also take Prazosin for nightmares, and shouldn't drink alcohol on it due to... you guessed it, various health concerns.
That being said, let's get down to business. My favorite way to incorporate witchcraft into my therapy/med routine are kitchen spells! I'll give you a few recipes, and then a list of ideas for you to research that don't involve cooking/recipes as well.
Apple Cider. Not only is it super effective, but it make your house smell amazing and they usually taste amazing too. Making Apple Cider is a great was to bring a warm, fuzzy feeling to yourself! It's super easy too: check out my Apple Cider post from yesterday (you can find it by searching Apple Magic or Apple Cider on my blog). Most of the herbs are very love and luck centered, so it's a great way to bring some self love into your home.
Strawberry self-love spell. This one is also one of my own, and it's super delicious and easy. It can be made into a number of things: drinks, cakes, oatmeal, etc. Here's the link to that post.
Herbal teas and drinks. Lots of common kitchen spices are great to help invoke self-love! Cloves, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and nutmeg are all wholesome herbs and spices to incorporate into these drinks. One of my favorite self-love drinks is very easy to make: a cup of steaming hot milk/milk replacement, a decent shake of each spice, and a tablespoon or two of sugar with a splash of vanilla makes a delicious, warm drink that soothes the soul and invoked self-kindness.
Here are a few other ideas for you to dig into:
Incorporate herbs that invoke love, healing, and happiness into your food
Make lots of bottles of moon water and challenge yourself to drink one every day. Hydration AND a spiritual boost!
Add lemon to your water every morning to help increase your energy and focusing levels. Stir clockwise!
Create a small spell jar with love-invoking herbs and carry it with you or put it in your bag. I recommend not using wax to seal it if you do, though. Use a screw-cap jar if you need to.
Juniper and rosemary smoke cleanse! Juniper banishes negative energies and well as invites good energies. Rosemary also invoked wellness, healing, and good energies.
Frequently cleanse your space, juniper or not. An easy cleanse spray is sea salt mixed with moon water, then a very light spray around your space. Remember to sweep/mop or vacuum often when you use that, especially if you have pets!
Light pink or red candles to invoke self-love
I also want to say this again, so everyone say it with me: witchcraft doesn't replace therapy and medications. One more time, with gusto! Witchcraft doesn't replace therapy and medications!
Good job!
And that wraps up this post! Good luck y'all, stay safe and blessed be! :)

The Well-Stocked Pantry
Tumblr media
If you struggle to eat well, you are more than likely among the nutrient-deficient majority - and you aren't getting what it takes to live fit, fueled, and satisfied. Here's the bottom line: We will only eat well and cook well if we fill our pantries with the right foods. Keeping your kitchen stocked with simple, inexpensive ingredients will make weeknight cooking much easier (and more fun!), and makes the difference between quickly and efficiently putting together healthy flavorful foods vs. a meal-time-blues headache or a fast-food nightmare. These are my go-tos for adding a healthy advantage to my shopping cart - and keeping my kitchen pantry, fridge, and freezer ready to prepare a delicious and nutritious meal.
Spice Cabinet Musts
P.S. Flavor!™ Spice Blends, pure vanilla extract or paste, cinnamon or cinnamon sticks, coarse ground black pepper, black peppercorns, Diamond Crystal Kosher salt, and Sugar in the Raw.
Vinegars
Red wine, white balsamic, rice wine, and apple cider vinegars will cover you for salad dressings and balancing dishes. Reduced balsamic is great for a drizzle and flavor pop.
Hot Sauce
Keep a few on hand and add a dash (or two!) into soups, salsas, sauces, sandwiches, and eggs. I especially love Cholula and Sriracha.
Oils
I use extra virgin olive oil for most all my cooking, a more exquisite one for vinaigrettes and drizzling, and a little less expensive one for cooking. Grapeseed and canola oils are good for baking, and nonstick spray makes life so much easier.
Honey and Real Maple Syrup
Add a quick drizzle when you're craving a little sweetness in things like your oatmeal, vinaigrettes, or sauces.
Dijon Mustard
For so much more than sandwiches, it adds a special flavor punch to marinades, rubs, crustings - and is the time-tested emulsifier for salad dressings.
Dried Fruits
Craisins, dried blueberries, and tart cherries bring a touch of sweetness and nutrition to salads, chutneys, and sautés or roasts.
Nuts and Seeds
Toasted pumpkin seeds, almonds, pecans, pistachios, and pinenuts add satisfying crunch and healthy fats to salads, grain dishes, and crumb toppings.
Canned Beans
Keep a few different kinds of canned beans in your pantry. I keep black beans, chick peas, cannellini, red kidney beans, and black eyed peas. Drain and rinse to bulk up soups, salads, or mix with rice and grains.
Brown Rice and Whole Grains
Some grocery stores now stock them ready to heat, but it's easy to do yourself. Cook a large pot, cool completely, and freeze in re-sealable bags. Thaw as needed.
Lower Sodium Chicken, Beef, or Vegetable Stock
Easy to make on your own, and great to have handy for cooking vegetables and soups.
Pre-cut Vegetables
Look to see if your grocery store has these available in the produce section. They're wonderful to have on hand to steam, stir fry, or microwave. You can also buy veggies whole and portion them into your own personal blends.
Root Vegetables
Red onions, garlic, shallots, and ginger.
Citrus
Think of citrus as a two- for-one. The zest can be used in marinades and the juice can be drizzled over cooked vegetables and used in vinaigrettes. Use a lemon or lime squeezer for easy juicing!
Eggs
Whip up a quick omelet, poach eggs in tomato sauce, fry one for a sandwich or grain bowl topper, or hard-boil a few for quick snacks.
Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt
Perfect on its own as a snack with fresh berries or the base for a smoothie, overnight oats, or healthy, creamy dressing.
Dairy
Milk (of your choice), light sour cream, and unsalted butter.
High Quality Cheeses
Invest in a microplane cheese grater and add Parmesan into salads, soups, and more. Remember a little goes a long way. We also love to throw pieces of the cheese rind into simmering soups for an umami boost. I keep feta, sharp cheddar, and ricotta on hand as well.
Miscellaneous
Panko, olive oil mayo, low sodium soy sauce or tamari, whole wheat flour, Worcestershire sauce, salsa, and canned Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce.
... and don’t forget your Freezer!
A powerful resource for keeping fresh food on hand is your freezer! I keep mine well-stocked with whole grain breads, salmon and shrimp, soups, and a variety of meals that I’ve made and saved leftovers from.

Earlier I walked to Davis Sq and back for no particular reason and then made paella and talked to my friend and after that made oatmeal/brown butter/crystallized ginger/choc chip cookies. Also I finished Or What You Will by Jo Walton. I liked it. I think this was a pretty good day. I’m going to eat a cookie and start that Guy Gavriel Kay one now.
