#they decide to just never tell the prisoners it was a prank because how do you even explain that nowđđđ
Imagine the awkwardness if in that Mikoto Prank Show ask however, if no one but Es and Jackalope were in on it⌠And they somehow got everyoneâs crimes perfectly right.
LMAO đđđ
Jackalope and Es are in on it, and they donât even need to guess them -- the machine can be legit! As any good businessmen, they put this newfound life-changing technology to good use: reality TV. They get a hold of 10 random people, planning on editing and splicing the videos to make up some crazy stories about crime and guilt and see how people react. They chose an range of people that might feel guilt over something -- they assume doctors feel bad for losing patients even though they did their best, or policemen regret the people they can't save, or chronically online people feel responsible for things they're connected to -- but that's all.
They get to Harukaâs interrogation and Es comes back to the team going, âhey, did you guys watch the video? Crazy that this guy killed animals, huh.â Then Yunoâs rolls around and they go âshit I never would have thought she was the type for that, now sheâs overthinking her abortionâŚâ Then Fuuta. âWhat are the chances that so many people feel incredibly guilty over someone elseâs death? Does everyone feel a secret responsibility for something that happened indirectly?â Then Muu. âOkay that was pretty direct. How did we find these people? Should we contact anyone about this? No? Okay.â Shidou. â?????â By the time they get to Mahiruâs interrogation and she readily admits to murder theyâre like âyeah okay, I had a feeling.â
The funniest part is, Mikoto is the team's only hopeful case! From the very beginning, they hear him talking around the prison and everyone breathes a long sigh of relief. âFinally! A normal, not-murdery guy! Our show is saved! We have someone real to prank!â ⌠And then.
(Slightly off-topic but Iâve always wanted to write a comedy normal au in which Es befriends the cast in different areas of their life; Amane is transferred to their school after her incident, Mahiru works in a nearby store, Shidou works at their local clinic, etc.) One by one they get close enough to Es to really trust them, and each confess to being involved with a death that was either indirect or very well covered up. The first few times itâs a beautiful moment of trust and vulnerability, but after like five confessions Es is sitting there like âseriously?? How does this keep happening????â)

heyyyy! I saw the thing with Craig with a s/o who has the same powers as Isabella and it was so cute! so I'm asking if you can a one of the main 4 seperatley (I CANT FOCKING SPELL IT) with a s/o (f!reader if you don't mind) who has the same powers, and like what happens in the movie, reader has the mindset that she needs to be perfect, but they help her realize she doesn't need to and kinda goes wild with her powers (again, like what happens in the movie)
thank you so so much if you do this! but either way have an amazing week!
--Rei
Sure thing! ^^
Team Stan with a s/o who can bloom flowers like IsabellaâżđŁá°áŠ
Warnings: None
Gender: Neutral
đ Stan Marsh đź
Tbh he never knew about your powers until you pranked him and his friends while they were playing superheroes.
Cartman cursed you out while Stan was just staring at you in awe. You were planning on showing Stan your powers but you decided to do it in a mischievous way.
He doesn't have much to say except the fact that he really loves your ability. (100% wanted you to be on the freedom pals team after he invited you to come play superheroes.)
"Can you make poison flowers bloom?".
"No Stan I don't wanna kill anyone.... except for the fatass".
"Aye!".
Definitely will vomit anytime you make him a gift made from the flowers you bloom.
đđđđđđ
đ Kyle Broflovski âĄď¸
Just casually waking up in the morning only for him to look out his window and see you doing the family guy death pose on a.....lily flower...?
Rubs his eyes multiple times to make sure he isn't seeing things.
Surprised pikachu face when you created a flower from underneath him and lifted him up into the air.
Doesn't stay surprised for long because he has pretty much seen so many crazy stuff nowadays. He can't muster up the energy to say shocked for too long.
Also thinks your ability is pretty unique and cool! Can you make Cartman's room look like a prison jungle-?
No seriously, what else can you do besides make them bloom outta nowhere? Tell him (â ââ â˝â ââ ).đđđđđ
â¤ď¸ Eric Cartman đ
Believe it or not he actually had a dream about you having some crazy ass weird ability causing mayhem with it.
You blooming daisy flower prison bars over his door to prank him confirms his dream has came to reality.
Cartman has a bunch of stuff going through his mind so he probably believes in supernatural and doesn't really care that you have the ability to bloom flowers out of nowhere.
Obviously will exploit your powers to rip people off of their money or use it to plot revenge plans on his enemies.
You spoil and put up with his psychopathic devious self. So you indulge Cartman in helping him with his plans to see how far he gets before he screws himself over XD
You and Cartman mess with Kyle for the rest of the week. â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
𧥠Kenny Mccormick đ
He saw your ability right after you accidentally impaled and killed him by blooming roses that had sharp thorns on them.
Cue you apologizing to him many times the next day he regenerates and tells you it's okay. He thinks your powers are neat! â¨
You showcase all of the flowers you can bloom to him. He might even ask if you could make a vase full of flowers that he can give to his sister. âĽď¸
Either it's your clumsy summoning or Kenny's bad luck.
But the amount of times this dude has died from being impaled or shot up into the skies and hitting the ground hard from you blooming flowers without noticing Kenny is right there. đ
Kenny doesn't really mind, at least you always remember his deaths unlike everyone who just forgets he even died in the first place.đ§Ąđ§Ąđ§Ąđ§Ą
Did I just use "bloom" so many times while writing this? I swear, I'm so insecure about how I write my stories sometimes đđđđ

Jason Todd, the World's Most Decent Dad
(My headcanons about him as a father. May be added to later. I'll comment when new headcanons are added to the list.)
I imagine Jason would have more than one child. Biological or not, this man can't only have one kid.
Jason would be the kind of dad to have bonding time with his kids by teaching them how to cook. If they want something new for dinner, he'll have them right there, making it with him.
Jason always makes whatever cake/cupcakes/other birthday sweets from scratch. No cake mix, just him and the base ingredients. His kids now hate store-bought foods and can tell when a bakery actually makes something from scratch.
Jason would read his kids bedtime stories every night. This is one reason they are so literate and advanced in their English classes.
Jason's kids are also extra literate because he never spoke to them like most parents speak to young kids. He talked, and talks, to them as his equals.
Jason always taught his children to talk out their problems, rather than using violence. His kids have grown up learning how to properly express issues and emotions with words. Jason makes sure to communicate with his kids, and in turn, they always communicate with him.
There are very few secrets in Jason's household. The only secrets are really small ones that Jason, and his kids, make sure won't hurt anyone. For example: if someone's going to pull a harmless prank, then they can keep it a secret until the prank happens. No harm has been done. The one specific rule about secrets is at least one other person in the household must know your secret and then they can advise you on whether or not it is harmful from an outside point of view.
Honesty is one of the main things in Jason's household. (He isn't gonna be another Bruce Wayne.)
Jason always encourages his kids' interests and education. He's the kind of dad who you would come out to the moment you realize you are even in the closet. His kids would never even think of hiding that stuff from him, because they have no reason to think he would ever have a negative reaction.
Jason would teach his kids self-defense techniques and make it a bonding exercise. Training days are often fun for everyone, and at a certain point, when Jason decides they can protect themselves well enough, the kids are given the option to stop taking lessons.
Jason tries to never force his kids to do anything. When his kids do something against his will, he explains what they did wrong and why it was wrong. When he wishes for his children to do chores and they refuse, he makes it into a game or competition.
Jason never wants his kids to be vigilantes, but if they insist it will make them happy, then he will make sure they are the best damn vigilantes in Gotham history. He'll be in Papa Bear mode for at least the first year of their vigilantism. (He'll probably never get out of Papa Bear mode, but he will hide it better after the first year.)
Jason will learn everything he can about any mental or physical disability if his child/children have it. He will consult the greatest psychologists in Gotham (Arkham staff and prisoners alike) just to make sure his kids are comfortable.
Jason can't take his kids out of the country, because he is legally dead, and even outside of Gotham is iffy. Plane travel is basically impossible. But, Gotham itself works well enough. (Everyone in Gotham knows Jason Todd is alive, it's one of the Waynes' worst-kept secrets.)
Jason is at all of his kids' events. Science fairs, school plays, field trips, sports games, etc. It doesn't matter what it is, he will drop everything to be there. The other vigilantes can handle the workload that he's putting off.

See You In The Morning? Part 2
Kate Bishop x Gender Neutral Reader
Word Count: 2,670
Warnings: Complicated relationship with Parent, Some very slight angst, Author struggles with Grammer and punctuation.
A/N: I had to make a new blog but I guess I'm just gonna keep writing this thing? Thank you for the likes and reblogs on my other post! Genuinely feeling very happy that other people enjoyed my little story.
The plan had never been to become the assistant head of security for Stark Industries, the plan had been to graduate college and find something actually related to your degree. But neither of those things had happened. After a particularly bad semester of college you'd decided to take a "break" and you'd taken a job working the front security desk at Stark World Headquarters, and it had been the only stable thing about your life after you eventually dropped out of school. And somehow here you were a few years later sitting in your own office looking over blueprints of a building that Stark Industries would be having a benefit gala at. Your boss was out of town so that left you in charge of keeping New York City's wealthiest socialites safe for an evening.
"Y/L/N, Kate Bishop is here to see you." The voice of the secretary over the speaker in your office startled you so much you actually jumped.
You pushed a button and responded "Oh uh, what a surprise! She can come right in." Kate was here to see you? You double checked your phone to make sure she hadn't texted you. Your girlfriend very rarely visited you at work and never unannounced. Not because she wasn't welcome to, but because being the heir of Bishop Security caused some Stark employees to stare a lot. Stark Industries and Bishop Security were competitors so you couldn't blame them for their confusion.
Kate walked through your office door and you quickly got up to greet her. "Hey, everything alright? Not that I'm not happy to see you!" You said as you gave her a tight hug.
Kate pulled away and gave you a small smile before she cupped your face in her hands and pulled you in for a soft kiss which you reciprocated. "Sorry I didn't text you! I kinda broke my phone againâŚ." She said after pulling away.
"Kate! Again! That's like 3 phones in the last month." You said with some exasperation.
"I know! It wasn't my fault this time though! This dude punched me right in the pocket where my phone was."
"Oh, and I expect that's supposed to make me feel better?" You rolled your eyes trying not to think too much about Kate getting punched. You lead Kate over to your desk so you both could sit.
"Really though Kate, is everything alright?" You said with some concern.
Kate groaned as she leaned back in her chair. "Well âŚ. I don't really know how to say this, well I do, I just don't want to⌠My mom just got released from prison."
You stared at her speechless, trying to decide if she was pranking you or not. You'd never met Kate's mom, only heard stories about her from Kate and watched her get arrested on the news. "What! How? Did you know she was getting released?! I thought she still had a lot of time on her sentence!" You spluttered.
"No! I had no idea!" Kate said she was now playing with the ring on her finger, a nervous habit of hers. "I got a call from her lawyer, before I broke my phone." She added "I guess she took a plea deal? Or something⌠I don't remember the legal jargon the lawyer was saying I was kinda in shock."
You reached forward grabbing Kate's hand in yours. This was not at all what you had been expecting but you did wish you'd reacted a little more calmly because you could tell this was really upsetting her.
"Okay, well this is incredibly surprising. But how are you feeling now? I know this is all very complicated for you." You said with as calm a tone as you could find.
Kate's eyes began to swim with tears and she stared down at your hand in hers "IâŚ. I don't know exactly. I feel conflicted cause she's my mom and I love her and never wanted her to be in prison. But she also did really terrible thingsâŚ. I just know I'm scared to see her." She admitted.
"Well you certainly don't owe her anything and you definitely don't have to see her till you're ready, or at all." You said.
Kate nodded her head but didn't say anything. You sat with her in silence for a bit gently stroking the back of her hand. You had worried this day would come, someone as powerful and connected as Elenore Bishop was eventually going to beat the system. You just wished you had the words to make it all okay. But you didn't all you could do was reassure Kate that you were there.
"Kate, I'm here, and I'll continue to be here. I'm sure this is going to be tricky to navigate, but I'll do whatever I can to support you." You said firmly looking Kate in the eye.
Kate wiped a tear from her cheek and gave your hand a tight squeeze. "I'm really glad you're here, just being with you makes me feel just a little less scared." Kate cracked a small smile and rolled her eyes slightly. "Damn Y/L/N, you got me over her being all cheesy!". You both laughed and the mood already felt a bit lighter.
You stood and started to collect your things. "Now, let's go get you a new phone! Then we can take Lucky for a walk and order pizza, yeah?" You asked.
Kate nodded and stood to follow you to the door. "Okay, but I need a smaller phone this time because the last one was too big and very impractical."
_ _ _
It was the day of the Gala and you were there bright and early! You had spent the day walking the building, going over details with your team, making assignments, and assuring a rotating list of people that everything was secure.
You ran home to shower, change into your Stark issued suit and if you were lucky eat something. You had just gotten out of the shower when Kate walked into the bedroom doorway. You were just in your underwear as you examined your suit for any wrinkles.
"I can feel you staring at my ass Bishop." You said.
"Sorry, couldn't help it." Kate responded as she walked further into the room.
"Well look while you can cause once I put these company issued pants on you won't know if I even have an ass anymore." You joked as you started sliding your feet into the pant legs.
You finished putting your pants on and as you started buttoning up your shirt Kate walked up behind you and wrapped her arms around your middle resting her chin on your shoulder.
"Hey" you whispered, turning your head to give hers a little kiss.
"Hey." She whispered back, leaning her weight into you a bit more.
"How's my girl doin? I'm sorry I haven't really talked to you today." You said as you began to do your tie.
Kate stopped you and turned in front of you so she could do up your tie. "You don't have to apologize, I know today has probably been crazy! I'm okay, Lucky and I went on a very long walk through the park and then I talked to Laura on the phone about my mom for a while." Kate finished your tie and stepped back to admire her work.
"What did Laura have to say?" You asked.
"That seeing my mom is on my terms and I don't have to if I don't want to. She also said that it's okay that I feel so conflicted about my mom, she did awful things but she's still my mom." Kate paused, she looked down before continuing "So basically everything you've been telling me but it sounded different coming from her. Not that it doesn't mean anything coming from you! Because you are also right and have good opinions!"
You stopped Kate from continuing into a ramble by taking her hands and stepping closer to her. " Hey, Kate, I know! It's different coming from Laura because she's kinda like a mother to you and I'm definitely not! And I'm not offended by that. I'm glad you got to talk to her, sounds like it was probably nice to talk to someone who isn't me or Yelena about this."
Kate took a shaky breath and nodded. "Yeah, it was nice, I'm glad I called her. She made me feel a bit better about everything."
"Good." You said leaning in to kiss the tip of her nose. "Now I don't mean to ruin the moment but I have to leave in 10 minutes and I can't find my shoes."
Kate laughed, "I think maybe you should consult Lucky about that, he's got a pretty impressive shoe collection in his kennel."
_ _ _
It was only 30 minutes into the gala and you could already tell it was gonna be a night. As the higher profile guests started to arrive you got called outside to break up a fist fight between two of the paparazzi. Internally cursing yourself for putting Mathison as lead for entrance security, you stepped outside to find just one security guard trying desperately to separate the two men.
"Alright! Alright! Gentleman, can we have some decorum?" You said as you stepped between the two men.
You were met with both the men yelling at once.
"He took my spot!"
"That's impossible! I was here first!"
"No! That's not true, ask anyone here!"
You cut them off,"Well, unfortunately for both of you that doesn't matter much because I'm asking you both to leave, and I'm only asking once."
They didn't like that idea so you and two of your guards had to physically remove them. About half way down the entrance steps one of them said something that completely caught you off guard. "Hey wait! I know you, you're Kate Bishop's partner! Wow! I didn't realize you worked for Stark Industries!".
You tried to regain your composure. "Well it's not exactly a secret and Google is free so that's on you."
"Wow! A Bishop and Stark Industries security guard. I'd just love to know how her mom feels about that! But I guess you probably haven't met her yet." Now at the entrance to the property you let go of the guy and removed his media pass.
The guy lifted his camera so he was filming you, because clearly he was that stupid. "I gotta ask though, how are you feeling about Eleanor Bishop's recent release from prison? Any comments? Or a comment about what Kate thinks about it."
You weighed your options. Not responding was the reasonable thing and what you would tell literally anyone else to do. On the other hand this guy had really just gotten under your skin and you were having a really hard time not punching him in the face.
"First, that's head of global security to you. Second, I have no comments and I suggest you get lost before I have you trespassed. Goodnight gentlemen!" You said as you turned and started walking back up the stairs.
And after that the night just got worse. You were getting pulled in a million directions because apparently nobody on staff that night knew how to think for themselves. You had just finished kicking out someone not on the guest list who had snuck in. And now you had no choice but to take Mathison off of the entrance and put a rookie guard in charge. A little distracted by the coms going off in your ear over this controversial move you almost didn't see Kate in the corner of the ballroom. You had told her that she definitely didn't have to come since she hated galas, but Kate had insisted on coming and supporting you. She was wearing her signature black suit, her dark hair in soft curls, and she was leaning against a column just observing the room.
You walked up beside her and turned to look around the room too. "You know I really like it when you wear that suit." You said to her with a cocky grin.
Kate jumped a little, clearly she had been lost in her own thoughts. But she smiled when she saw it was you. "Well I figured at least one of us should be wearing a good suit tonight."
"Hey! It's not that bad is it?!" You said looking down at your suit.
Kate raised an eyebrow as she looked you up and down. "I just don't understand how a company with so much money and power lets you walk around looking like you stole a suit from the clearance section of mens warehouse."
You groaned, "Well perfect, because I'm one hundred percent going to be on the morning news in this thing."
Kate looked at you quizzically. "Do you want to elaborate on that a bit?"
You groaned, why had you brought this up right now? "I kicked a tabloid photographer out earlier, he was talking about your mom and what she would think of the two of us dating. He then started recording me and asked for a comment on her getting released."
Kate's eyes widened and she took a step closer to you. "Y/N what did you say?"
"Nothing bad! At least I think. I just told him I didn't have a comment and that I was going to have him tresspaced if he didn't leave." You said.
Kate signed in what you assumed was relief. "Yeah no, you probably handle that correctly. But it's definitely gonna be on some news outlets. Do you think my mom knows about us?" She asked timidly.
"Oh, one hundred percent she knows!" You said. There was no way that Elenore didn't know about the two of you and also no way she didn't also know more about you than you'd probably like her to at this point.
Kate groaned and buried her face in your shoulder. You and Kate had talked a couple of times about Kate's mom and how she would feel about your relationship. Kate had no idea how her mom was going to react to it, you definitely weren't what Elenore Bishop had in mind for a good partner for her daughter. And while her opinion didn't matter to either of you, the potential comments she might make or her trying to discourage Kate from dating you were very real possibilities. You were brought back to reality and the fact that you were very much at work by the voice of the rookie at the entrance in your ear piece.
"Y/L/N we have a situation at the entrance."
You dropped your head in defeat and spoke into your com. "Another one? Can I get some clarification?"
"Uhh yeah, Elenore Bishop is here. She's not on the list but I thought you might want to handle this one."
Your eyes widened. Yeah, Elenore Bishop wasn't on the list because she had up until very recently been unavailable. You turned to Kate not sure how to break this to her.
"Kate, I promise you I had no idea she was coming, but your mom is here."
Kate looked at you with panic in her eyes "She's here? Like is she in the building? Was she invited?"
You shouldn't have because you were working, but out of instinct you grabbed Kate's hand. "She wasn't on the list, but we are probably going to have to let her in. I can get you out of here without her seeing you. But I gotta go find Pepper and handle this. I'm gonna have Patrick come find you, he can help you out. You don't have to go, but I've got you covered if you do."
Kate nodded and it absolutely broke you that you had to just leave her like that but you also couldn't leave Elenore Bishop just chillin on the steps of the entrance.

Iâll say for the situation with sapnap and george what Iâve Been saying for this entire season: what frustrates me the most is that it doesnât have to be this way. this would be completely avoidable if the streamers communicated or realized that they have other options.
if tubbo and aimsey had communicated then tubbo wouldâve known that aimsey was setting up lore in the mansion, and he wouldâve known that directly confronting them being there would Have to have lore implications for her character. and if aimsey had been told that tubbo was focusing on casual lore from now on then he wouldâve known not to take the confrontation seriously as lore.
likewise, bad, sapnap, and george going after plot significant bases wouldnât have been a big deal in 2020 or even 2021, but now that nobodyâs on regularly and the tone of the server has shifted it just Does Not Work anymore. now a good chunk of the people on the server log on to Do Lore and then disappear for 4-8 months. and there Are people who are doing casual lore, whoâve made it clear that thatâs what they Want, but knowing that would require doing research or Communicating. itâs a lack of awareness thatâs extremely frustrating and kind of baffling.
this has to have in-character implications but to think that it Does is absurd. c!sapnap is so concerned about his good friend tommy being potentially murdered that he blew up his house and then freed his pet. remember when they had an entire pet war that ended with them recognizing each other as equals and promising to stay friends no matter how the war went? remember when tommy returned sapnapâs pet to him because he Grew as a person and realized that he didnât feel right about the pet war ending with him Getting Even, because taking away something that was important to sapnap didnât make him happier and wasnât right no matter the justification?
and in the grand scheme of things this isnât something that Should matter, it certainly doesnât matter to the people doing it. but it Does matter when the only interaction c!tommy gets is openly hostile while the majority of the server ignores that c!dream is out of jail and wants to murder him. and it Does matter when we know that the creators donât stream casually every day anymore, which means they arenât Around to fix it and when they Are itâs actively taking away from time that would have been spent Telling A Story.
itâs not Fun to have tommyâs house covered head to toe in obsidian and then have that be the only thing his character focuses on for 6 months. itâs not Fun to watch the server be kicked when itâs down, when stories are already struggling to be told. and itâs at the point where I donât find it Understandable anymore, because there Should be an awareness about the situation.
you can play minecraft in any server, the story of the dream smp can Only happen here. tubbo decides he wants to log on and mess with tommy after bad pranks him? well guess what ! thatâs the first meeting that c!tubbo had with tommy after dreamâs prison escape, and we will never get to have it again. it shouldâve been an emotional character driven plot beat, we shouldâve gotten Any indication that c!tubbo cared about tommyâs safety or that the Man Who Tried To Murder Him Had The Means To Do So Now. but we didnât and we wonât because cc!tubbo didnât want to tell a story anymore but he still wanted to log in on the server and directly interact with people who Do.
people can do casual streams Anywhere. they can hang out and shoot the shit and cause problems on purpose without having to think about how many days, weeks, months, or years of work they could be undoing Anywhere Else. on origins, on any of the hundreds of of servers that already exist, on their own servers that they make specifically For that purpose now that the dream smp is a vehicle for storytelling.
but they donât.
cynically you could say itâs because they get more views when they log onto the dream smp as opposed to anywhere else, charitably you could say that itâs because they want to hang out where their friends are and havenât caught up to the fact that the dream smpâs Purpose has changed. but either way is tone deaf.
it is not impossible to have casual streams on the dream smp without ruining the story or without ruining a characterâs characterization or consistency, it used to happen every day. but thatâs not Viable now if people donât communicate, if they seemingly Arenât aware of the investment that both the audience and other creators have in the storytelling, and if they arenât aware of the ways that the server has changed.
they lose nothing by streaming on a different server, but we canât get back whatever lore gets mucked up when a streamer decides they donât care.

A Street, Windensen, Pierreland
Magdalena: This was a bad idea...is it to late to turn around?
Louis: Mags...relax...you promised my mama one visit. This therapist is trusted. She's never spilled anything and she's got some ammo on your mom.
Magdalena: I know I know....I just...
Louis: It's okay to be nervous Mags...given everything that's happened to you. But this isn't Lunaria. If anyone dares to leak anything here, mama will make sure they pay...
Magdalena: One visit...it's...kinda weird that the office is on this street...
Louis: According to security, guess the therapist turned her front room and entry way into her business areas...probably some...theraputic reasoning of a calmer street, calmer patients...
Magdalena: this looks...normal?
Louis: Yeah...a normal looking house...what were you expecting?
Magdalena: Something cold...clinical
Louis: Mags...
Magdalena: Let's get this over with Lou...
Therapist: Your Royal Highness? Please, come in. I'm Dr Shruti Dayal, please come in. Your Imperial Highness..please have a seat out here.
Louis: Yes Ma'am.
Dr. Dayal: Please, make yourself comfortable.
Magdalena: Where did you get this photo?
Dr. Dayal: Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Minerva, sent it to me when she got engaged. A thank you for helping to find her best self again, so she'd be ready to pour everything into her new family. She spoke fondly of you...she was constantly worried she wouldn't be the best role model for you.
Magdalena: She's treated me with nothing but love...[tears well] I'd have no one else as my mama [deep breath] No offense though Dr. Dayal...but my experience with therapists have been shit.
Dr. Dayal: Funny you say that...your mom said the exact same thing when we first met. Please, have a seat on the couch and tell me why you've decided to see me.
Magdalena: I promised Empress Katalina I'd visit you at least once.
Dr. Dayal: Well, you could've seen any therapist, the Empress could've recommended anyone. In Pierreland, breaking Doctor-Paitent confidentiality is a serious crime punishable by at least 2 years in prison. What has you sitting in this seat specifically?
Magdalena: The Empress mentioned you treated my mom...and if my mom trusts you...
Dr. Dayal: Your willing to give me a chance huh? Now...tell me about your family, in your own words please Magdalena, may I call you that in this session?
Magdalena: Yeah..that's fine....umm..well, there's me, papa, mama...and all my siblings...
Dr. Dayal: How many siblings?
Magdalena: 3...3 little sisters..
Dr. Dayal: What is your relationship with them like?
Magdalena: It's good...we all love each other...we play pranks...we make fun of our parents and how gushy they are...
Dr. Dayal [chuckling]: no...ill will towards any of them?
Magdalena: No...not at all...it's not my fault that...well, I am who I am...
Dr. Dayal: What do you mean by that Magdalena?
Magdalena: I mean...I'm their half sister...my...fudge I don't know what to call her but...the person who gave me half my dna...attempted to kill our mom...its something I can't shake...no matter how hard I try..
Dr. Dayal: Have you spoke about this with your parents? Your feelings of otherness due to the woman who gave you life?
Magdalena: yeah..
Dr. Dayal: And how has that gone?
Magdalena: They both tell me...that I'm not her...even if I see her in me when I look in the mirror...who I am inside, is nothing like her...
Dr. Dayal: And how does that make you feel?
Magdalena: That they are trying to make me feel better....I know..both of them love me but...Papa resents me...because I remind him of his trauma...
Dr. Dayal: Is that fact or a projection Magdalena?
Magdalena: I've heard him say it. Not directly...he's a Crown Prince, he would never be able to say it directly...but he's...kinda said it...
Dr. Dayal: When did you first hear this?
Magdalena: Not even a year ago...but he said it along time ago...
Dr. Dayal: And how does that make you feel?
Magdalena: Like...my childhood was a lie...

Dumbledore and House Favoritism (Or Lack Thereof)
Contrary to popular belief, Dumbledore doesnât actually seem to have much bias for Gryffindor over Slytherin and the other two houses. At least not to the point of affecting his major decisions regarding students. Let me give some examples of why popular arguments to the contrary are flawed.
---
House Cup: âGryffindors have never gone so long without winning. Slytherins have got the cup six years in a row!â - Harry Potter and the Philosopherâs Stone, pg. 99
In all the years Harry attended Hogwarts, we only know of Gryffindor winning the cup in books one, two, and three. That means that in the text, Slytherin is confirmed to have won the house cup more times than Gryffindor has been confirmed to (in recent years). Before Harry came along, Slytherin was having the time of its life.
And while Dumbledoreâs decision to change the winner so abruptly at the end of book one is a dick move, it was one more for the benefit of story payoff than serious character development, and it wasnât because of house favoritism. I mean, if a group of kids got through a dangerous set of security measures, and one of them ended up having to kill their evil teacher who was hosting a dark lord, I too would give them a lot of points regardless of house. Especially if I knew that one of them, currently eleven, was going to die soon. Also, Neville deserved the recognition he got.
The largest number of points Dumbledore awards to Gryffindor are 200 points each to Harry and Ron after they rescue Ginny from the Chamber of Secrets. I mean seriously, that amount of points has nothing to do with house affiliation. If a couple of twelve-year-olds took out a gross con artist teacher, saved an eleven-year-oldâs life, killed a basilisk, destroyed a dark object, and nearly DIED, I would also have given them a lot of points.
---
Sirius Blackâs âPrankâ Involving Lupin and Snape: All the text says about Dumbledoreâs handling of it is, â[Snape] was forbidden by Dumbledore to tell anybody,â - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, pg. 229.
Thereâs no mention of house favoritism playing into this. The most likely reason for why Snape was forbidden from telling anyone, was to protect Lupin. Lupin had no voluntary part in this situation. He should not have had to fear being exposed as a werewolf because Sirius decided to do something fucked up as a joke.
The text never says if/how Sirius was disciplined for his behavior, so I canât make any judgements on Dumbledoreâs actions in that regard.
It feels weird that this incident is used as an example of house favoritism since it seems to be more about the individuals in question. Thereâs not really enough information about the Marauders Era to determine what kind of biases Dumbledore did or did not have back then.
---
Gryffindor Characters Getting Away with Stuff in General: They do. However, other houses, including Slytherin, get away with stuff they shouldnât as well. Itâs less of a house problem and more of a this-school-is-under-regulated problem. I mean, think of all the shit Malfoy gets away with for one. The Wizarding World has ridiculous safety standards. Itâs good for plot reasons, just not for practical reasons, lol.
In addition, most of the examples of letting Gryffindor students get away with things center around Harry. Itâs kind of necessary to let him get away with some stuff considering the role he has to play in the story and in defeating Voldemort. These instances are personal issues rather than house issues.
We donât see Dumbledore dish out punishments to students very often; thatâs more the role of McGonagall and Snape when it comes to their respective houses. So, again, itâs hard to tell if Dumbledore has a general house bias in this area.
---
Influencing Harry to have House Bias: I would like to remind everyone that Hagrid is the first to impart a biased perspective about Hogwarts houses and the Weasleys continue to reinforce these beliefs. Dumbledore, on the other hand, encourages the houses to stand together against evil. He advocates for house unity. He shows compassion to Slytherin students, most notably wanting to save Malfoy from a terrible fate, regardless of any wrong heâs done, because he recognizes that Malfoy is a child who should have the chance to turn away from evil.
---
Tom Riddle: I canât recall Dumbledore acting out of any malicious intent toward Slytherin students either. Even with Tom Riddle, their beef is about each other, and Dumbledore doesn't act out of cruelty.
Dumbledore made honest mistakes with handling Tomâs mentality, which a lot of people would have made, and dare I say, he was more patient than a lot of people would be when someone displays the traits that Tom did. Regarding not letting Tom stay over the summer, there are two main things: 1) Dumbledore wasnât headmaster and wouldnât have been able to make that choice. 2) We donât know whether or not he approached Dippet regarding the matter. Again, thereâs not enough information to make a call on this.
Tomâs parseltongue unsettling Dumbledore isnât because of the Slytherin house, itâs because of the Slytherin family lineage and their history. Thatâs more of a personal bias, and yes, Dumbledore did have some bias toward Tom. Again, I would say that he was remarkably patient with Tom, though, and he let his bias influence him far less negatively than it would influence other people. Sadly, we know how that patience paid off (it didnât). The main thing is that Dumbledore didnât let that bias carry over to the entire house of Slytherin.
---
The only bits of Gryffindor favoritism I can think of are regarding competitions such as quidditch, which Dumbledore isnât involved in regulating or scheduling, nor does he allow those biases to influence any decisions. Itâs all friendly competition to him because he has no serious stake in it.
---
In summary, Dumbledore seems to have slight biases for specific characters rather than houses as a whole. The magical world is horribly underregulated (for fun plot reasons rather than anything realistic). And Dumbledore is all for house unity rather than tearing one house down when it comes to anything important.

Okay, so Iâve begun writing my âRem Survivesâ Trigun Stampede-universe fanfic. While itâs going to start out on a very canon note, with Vash being a self-blaming, in crisis kid on Ship 3, angst galore...Â
I am thinking about how the events that will ensue will change his character / change the story a bit. Vash will be largely the same person - still a pacifist, still prone to putting himself into dangerous situations to save everyone. Still sad because the Big Fall still happened, Knives is still a jerk, Tessla still happened, etc. A lot of events will stay true to canon, including how he loses an arm. (Rem couldnât protect him from that...Nai doesnât even know sheâs alive. Sheâs in a stint of cold sleep for medical reasons at the time). However, Vash will be less sad and less prone to useless martyrdom. I really want Rem to impress upon Vash âThe actions of other people are NOT your fault!â - Upon hearing the truth about the Big Fall, she recognizes that Vash did not know of Naiâs plans for the codes. She knew about their dumb and dangerous pranks. She knows that Vash had no idea that Nai had mass murder on his mind. So, âNo, Vash, itâs not your fault!â *Ker-SMACK upside the head to try to center him when heâs just not listening to her.* She gives a bit of fierce motherly love. And of course, this comes out of her own trauma with Tessla and what she had to learn to move on - she tried everything she could to stop it - short of committing the kind of crime that would have gotten her thrown into a cold sleep incarceration when the shipâs regular Plants needed her. She had to learn to tell herself that she didnât bear the guilt for what happened, even if she only half-believes it. Â
And some of this is where Vash got his name, too. Rem fought with her brain. She couldnât physically stop what was happening and Tessla didnât fall under human rights laws, so Rem did heavy research into animal rights rulings, including humane treatment of research animals in laboratories and livestock law. (âAt least give her the dignity that you would give a cowâ - the words felt like bitter bile coming out of her mouth. She hated them). She chose the name Vash (âVascheââ / French / Cow) as a reminder of this. Like... it was her way of saying that her little boy was ânot livestock.â  Â
Nai came about his name because... sitting here thinking about the story... I just came up with a whole-ass original character. I just decided, in my universe, Rem had a younger brother, Nai - an unusual name to be sure (but her parents were for unusual names. She was never sure if âRemâ was their take on âRemembranceâ or a female version of âRembrandt.â She always suspected the latter, but Rem, just Rem was on her birth certificate). Nai stayed on Earth. He wasnât allowed on Project SEEDS. Rem notes a certain eugenics inherent in the project - not many people with certain illnesses and conditions were allowed aboard unless they were wealthy and well-connected, which her family was not. Nai was severely bipolar enough to be disqualified. He also had a short stay in prison for a crime - Iâm thinking he took part in an economics / human rights protest that turned into a riot and he was one of the people whoâd gone off to break windows and start looting. He was doing very well for himself by the time Rem got involved in SEEDS. Worked himself up from a line cook to chef in a restaurant - obsessive cook, got the nickname âKnivesâ for his kitchen-skills and his formidable cutlery collection. Rem muses how he saved up and spent the kind of money that could have netted her an entire wardrobe on a fancy sushi / haute cuisine knife that was folded and forged in the same manner as ancient Samurai swords. She misses him, and so names one of her sudden!kids after him. Â
Anyway, yeah... ideas, ideas. Â
Await the first chapter of Survivorâs Guilt - coming soon to an Ao3 near you!Â

The Snake Who Lived and The Prisoner of Azkaban
What if Harry was Sorted into Slytherin?
Year 1
Year 2
A few reminders going into POA. One, Hermioneâs dead. So we donât have any Time Turner shenanigans this time. Ron blames himself and, come to think of it, this would probably have made him extremely determined to catch The Heir of Slytherin back in COS. He was probably the one to accuse Draco and suggested Harry confront Hagrid, though Harry never did this. These notes are kind of retroactive but oh well.Â
Owl Post remains more or less the same, minus Hermioneâs letter and present of course. Dumbledore also sends a letter probably saying something to the effect of how their trip to Godricâs Hollow needs to be postponed because of the escape of Sirius Black, a known Death Eater. Iâm not sure if McGonagall sent Harry the letter about Hogsmeade because she was his Head of House or because she was Deputy Headmistress, but I love the idea of Snape sending Harry a passive-aggressive letter with Alan Rickmanâs tone. Anyway, Harry has another surprise visitor in the night - Dobby. Who, if you recall, was not freed at the end of COS, Harry simply had no opportunity to do it. He sympathizes with the Elf, as he is a slave to The Malfoys after all. But heâs also frustrated as Dobby is once again here to plead with him not to return to Hogwarts - this time, it is the threat of Sirius Black that frightens him. Harry refuses, and warns Dobby that any attempt to keep him here will be prevented by Dumbledore, just like last time. When they overhear one of the Dursleys getting up to use the bathroom, Dobby quickly disapparates.Â
Aunt Marge would still be a colossal asshole, and Harryâs behavior would, according to Vernon, determine whether or not the Hogsmeade permission form gets signed. But this time, I think Dobby would actually sabotage the visit. I donât think it would go the same way. Marge may still get inflated, but Harry may or may not be the one to do so. Before she can even instigate him, Dobbyâs magic comes into play. Heâd do things like flood all the toilets, make the lights burn out, make Ripper attack the Dursleys. Anything to make believe Harry was doing magic. I could still see this ending with Margeâs inflation. Harry is sent to his room because, guilty or not, he is blamed. Dobby is there - attempting to silence The Sneakoscope - and Harry, now provoked and angry, attacks him with magic - whether accidental or deliberate.
Thing is, the Ministry is going to blame Harry too. They didn't believe Harry last time, why should they this time? He realizes he is well and truly screwed now, and thereâs no going back, so like before, he decides to run for it. He may even have to body-bind The Dursleys on his way out, but something tells me he doesnât mind that. He goes to Mrs. Figg for help, trying to explain the situation. She uses floo powder to call who Harry hopes will be Dumbledore but turns out to be - Snape. Hooray. Snape absolutely rips Harry apart when he finds out what Harry has done, causing an argument that frightens all the poor cats. Harry bites back that Snape would have done the same if heâd ever spent years being relentlessly bullied. Oh, you all know whatâs coming. Snape, with immense satisfaction, outlines exactly how James and his gang used to treat Snape, up to and including a vague allusion to The Prank. âHe even tried to have me killed, and as ever, Dumbledore looked the other way.â This stuns Harry, who canât believe what heâs hearing.Â
So, no Knight Bus. Dumbledore agrees to let Harry stay with Figg rather than Snape as he sorts out the business with The Dursleys and desperately tries to maintain Harry's annual stay there. Memory charms may have to be involved, but we'll come back to that. But now we have a situation on our hands. No Knight Bus, and the Knight Bus was the only thing that stopped Harry from meeting Sirius, remember? I imagine Sirius would try to get into Figgâs house to talk to Harry just the same, but unfortunately for him, she has twelve cats. Yeah, they howl up a storm and Padfoot takes off into the night, but not before Harry glimpses his retreating form. He tries again a few nights later, this time taking a chance and approaching the door as a man. This too, fails, as Figg is a former member of The Order, and recognizes him through the window. She screams and Sirius retreats once more.Â
Harry doesnât yet know that the appearance of the escaped convict and the stray dog he glimpsed are at all related. But after this, he is moved to Diagon Alley for the remainder of the summer where heâll be safer. Staying with Florean Fortecue because he was totally meant to be an Order member and Rowling just forgot to say so. Harry buys all the books he needs for his new classes, including The Monster Book of Monsters, and he also sees The Firebolt. He also gets a personal visit from Fudge who warns him that it is now officially on his record that he attacked muggles with underage magic - but, in the interest of keeping Harry out of the spotlight and off Siriusâ radar, theyâre going to be dropping the charges. Still, it may come up later, especially in OOTP. Weâll have to see.Â
Harry runs into Ron, who still went on that vacation to Egypt. (I mean hell, Percyâs girlfriend died, he could use a break.) They also both meet Crookshanks in the pet shop. Except this time, Hermione doesnât adopt him. But I think Harry does. He has a new appreciation for cats and he can always relate to being an unwanted orphan. Obviously, Ron isnât happy, nor is Hedwig for that matter, but theyâll learn to live with it. Hogwarts students arenât really allowed to have two pets but then again, theyâre not supposed to have Rats either. With the level of special treatment Harry is typically given, I think he gets away with this. Actually, Snape and Dumbledore would likely *prefer* He focuses his attention on pets, rather than lawless adventures.Â
I donât know if Harry would overhear Arthur and Mollyâs discussion about Sirius, but do you know who could? Ginny. And she would relay it to Harry, since theyâre closer pals now. Molly and Arthur are especially worried since Harry came within an inch of Sirius back at Little Whinging. While Harry isnât exactly their surrogate son this time around, he has now befriended both Ron and Ginny, and I think heâs reaching the point where Molly in particular would activate her mama bear instincts, especially once Ron tells her some of the stories Harry would have recounted about The Dursleys. Arthur would likely still warn Harry not to search for Sirius, though as this is probably their first meeting, it comes off as even weirder to Harry.Â
Hogwarts Express time, and that means Dementor time. Harry has a bunch of horrible memories for the Dementor to feast on. There are the ones from canon, but thereâs also his time being possessed. Yikes, I knew going to Slytherin would be hard on him, but still. He probably sits with Ron and Ginny. No way to be sure theyâd happen to pick the same compartment as Remus, but it doesnât especially matter. No matter where heâs sitting, heâd summon a Patronus and send the Dementor off the train. Ginny probably has an easier time with the Dementors than she does in the canon timeline but she'd still have some horrible Possession memories of her own to grapple with. Ron likewise remembers calling Hermione a nightmare, and later learning that she was killed.
Though Harry is overjoyed to learn that Hagrid is teaching one of his new subjects, he is equally dismayed to hear that The Dementors are going to be a mainstay. Draco mocks him for fainting but Nott privately admits that The Dementor upset him too - he reimagined his motherâs death when it passed by. The next day, Harry tries to visit Dumbledoreâs office but cannot guess the password, so he instead goes to Snape and asks how long the Dementors are going to be at the school. When he is told that theyâll be around until Sirius is caught, Harry voices the idea that Sirius canât be worse than them. With a deadly look in his eyes, Snape remarks that Sirius is much worse. But, he adds, Harry had best be careful not to run afoul of the Dementors. âThey are only here to protect your ungrateful skin, Potter.âÂ
Time for new classes. Letâs cover the odd one out first. Muggle Studies. The only student we know took Muggle Studies is Ernie MacMillan. Now, is Ernie more apologetic toward Harry for falsely suspecting him last year? Not remotely. Keep in mind, the rumor around the school is that Harry went down into The Chamber and left a message warning the school staff not to close Hogwarts. Officially yes, Dumbledore would have cleared it up and said that he was kidnapped, and The Heir would have been identified as Voldemort. But Harry *did* command the Basilisk as well, heâs a Parselmouth and the Monster was a Snake, not to mention heâs in SlytherinâŚI think a number of students still consider the whole scenario to be a bit dodgy. No one complained about the school staying open butâŚPenelope still died.
So yeah, Harryâs not popular with anyone right now apart from maybe the Slytherins, and that would be for the wrong reasons anyway, so Harry would not want it. His only true friends at this point are Ron, Ginny, Hagrid, and Nott. He could have other Slytherin friends who are decent to him - girls like Greengrass and Tracey Davis are never confirmed to be part of Pansy's gang, but it's likely that they are. Either way, these characters theyâre basically blank slates so I am hesitant to use them. Theodore at least has a bit more to go on. Still, I find it more realistic that Harry make friends over time. Sadly, I doubt any of them would be taking Muggle Studies, and Iâm getting way off topic anyway. Harry is eager to learn about muggles and Charity Burbage is intrigued to have him in her class, as she rarely gets Slytherins. I think theyâd have a good relationship...for the most part. Harryâs still not that dedicated as far as students go.Â
The Hippogriff and Tea Leaf lessons go more or less the same way. Trelawney predicts Harryâs death, might even predict him falling to the dark side if she wants to follow the rumors, and Draco ruins everything in Care of Magical Creatures. In fact, I think he deliberately provoked Buckbeak this time. I think the moment he learned of Hagridâs appointment, he knew how to take his revenge. After all, heâs losing Snapeâs favor, and he blames Harry for that. So this time. Draco goes ham. He misses classes, keeps going back to the Hospital Wing, has Lucius come down to the school and raise hell, demanding Hagrid be sacked. Lucius knows full well that itâs just a scratch but he also wants Hagrid fired anyway, so he plays along.
However, this backfires on Draco. He plays up the arm injury so much that Marcus Flint decides to hold renewed tryouts for Seeker. Whether Draco is faking it or not, if heâs not going to have his arm out of the sling in time for the first match, he canât play. At the encouragement of his Slytherin friends (Nott, Greengrass, Davis) Harry attends Tryouts. Maybe acquaintances is a better word but they get along decently well and at least some of them have to find Draco annoying, or would rather hedge their bets on the celebrity. Either way, Harry tries out and given his natural talent, he gets chosen as the new Slytherin Seeker.Â
Draco is pissed off. He tries to get his father to make it go away, but honestly thereâs nothing Lucius can really do. He canât ask Flint to play a Seeker with an injury that would impede his Seeking ability. Also, the Slytherin team have had their Nimbus 2001s for a year now, so the window for Lucius to take them back has kind of already closed. In this situation Iâm not sure what he would do, but Draco? Knowing him, he gives away that heâs faking the injury in the effort to keep his Seeker position, which means he loses on basically all counts. Buckbeakâs troubles are probably over, but weâll see.Â
Boggart time. Nevilleâs Boggart is still Snape, and I think Harry would have a unique appreciation for that. Between this and Harry saving his Remembrall back in Year 1, I think Neville would likely grow fond of Harry, though being a Slytherin he may still be intimidated by him. Harry still assumes his Boggart to be a Dementor and Remus still stops him from facing it, but hereâs another change. Ronâs Boggart could still be a spider, for sure, but his arachnophobia wouldnât be as strong this time, since the encounter with Aragog never happened. No, instead, I think his Boggart transforms into Hermione. Little First Year Hermione who never got to grow older, and Ron believes itâs his fault.
Hereâs a minor change. I think Harry, as a Slytherin, would be surrounded by people who would suggest that he forge The Dursleyâs signature a lot sooner. This did happen with Dean Thomas in the original books, but only after Harry had already asked McGonagall to sign it for him. I donât see him asking Snape, and I can see Theodore or maybe Daphne offering to forge it for him. Like I mentioned, I think this year sees at least a few Slytherins migrating from Dracoâs side of the rivalry to Harryâs. Since Harry may consort with blood traitors and GryffindorsâŚbut Dracoâs just a pain in the ass. Either way, Harry is still barred from Hogsmeade on Halloween. Hereâs the thing: Dumbledore was never going to actually let him go. The lack of permission slip was just a good excuse. But as far as anyone knows, Sirius Black is out there and aiming to kill Harry, so no way the staff are letting him leave school. Harryâs pretty incensed at this injustice.Â
He tries to go see Ron at Gryffindor Tower, who didnât go into Hogsmeade, to check on him. However, he cannot get past The Fat Lady. So instead, he meets with Remus for tea, they discuss the Boggart and Remus explains why he didnât let Harry face it, impressing Harry by actually saying Voldemortâs name. Harry witnesses Snape delivering the Wolfsbane Potion. I donât think any of this changes, but Remus would definitely be intrigued to see James and Lilyâs son in Slytherin of all things. Sirius attacks The Fat Lady (man, even in the original books, this was weird. Itâs the only time he ever acts outwardly violent toward someone who is totally innocent, but I digress.) Though this time, Harry is mostly concerned about Ron.Â
At this point in the original timeline, the teachers crack down on watching Harry. McGonagall even tries to stop Harry from playing Quidditch but he talks her out of it. Snape would not be so easily swayed, and he likes to torment Harry, so he would straight up inform Harry that heâs off the Slytherin Team and Draco will have his old spot back. Harry doesnât take this well, and goes to Flint and Hooch, who go to Dumbledore, and itâs agreed that, since Harry has been practicing for the first match already, he can at least play in that.Â
But the first match is not going to go well. Itâs not against Hufflepuff, but against Gryffindor, and I suspect Ginny would be playing Seeker. Not sure who would have played it the last two years, probably just someone we donât know, but Ginny is a second year now and we know sheâs got Quidditch talent. Either way, it doesn't matter who Harry is facing. He still sees The Grim, and falls off his broom thanks to the Dementors. Slytherin loses the match, Harryâs in disgrace, and now he really is off the team. Heâd been banking on proving himself in this match to try and change that outcome but now his fate is sealed, and Draco can visit The Hospital Wing to gloat.Â
Dobby appears once again, after hours, in a scene not unlike the one from Chamber of Secrets. Heâs obviously not responsible for the Grim, or the Dementors, but as far as heâs concerned, they prove his point. He begs Harry to go home, as Harry begins to notice that Dobby looks awful. Bruised and battered. Heâs been punishing himself nonstop for getting Harry in trouble with the Ministry. Now beginning to feel pity, Harry tells him to stop. Instead, he suggests that Dobby can make it up to him by using his Elf Magic to tail Sirius Black. If you listen hard, you can hear Hermione rolling in her grave.
Which reminds me, Crookshanks is in contact with Sirius like before, heâs hunting Scabbers like before, and it causes a rift between Harry and Ron, though not a significant one. Even if Scabbers eventually fakes his death, the boys live in different Houses, so Crookshanks could hardly be responsible. Meanwhile, Snape takes over teaching Defense Against The Dark Arts while Remus is ill, and gives the Werewolf Essay.Â
I donât think the Weasley twins give Harry the Marauderâs Map in this timeline. Theyâd like him okay, theyâd trust him at least a little, but they havenât really spent much time with him at this point. Also, theyâd have heard about Ronâs ordeal of seeing Hermione again as a Boggart. So maybe they give the Map to Ron instead. But I assume Ron would share it with Harry anyway, show him what it is and how it works. Still, heâs the one whoâs keeping it for the time being. Either way, they sneak into Hogsmeade. Harry doesnât have the Invisibility Cloak either, as itâs in Dumbledoreâs custody, so just like before, he and Ron hide under the table to avoid being seen by the string of adult characters who arrive, and proceed to drop an exposition bomb about Sirius Black. That he was The Secret Keeper, and Jamesâ best friend.Â
Even in the originals, what follows is possibly the lowest, darkest point that Harry ever had, where he genuinely considers the idea of hunting down and killing Sirius. He goes to confront Snape, and asks what Snape knows about the death of his parents, and who was responsible. For his part, Snape has frozen in place, his expression unreadable, but he definitely thinks Harry is referring to something else before Harry presses on. âI know they were friends. Black and-and my Dad. It wasnât him who tried to kill you, it was Black, wasnât it?â Snape coldly remarks that it was both of them, that James simply got cold feet after the fact, but now Harry is convinced that whatever bad behavior his dad may (or may not) have exhibited toward Snape in school came from the influence of Sirius.Â
Ron isnât able to shake Harry from his cold rage, nor is Hagrid or any of his Slytherin friends. You know who I think does, though? Ginny. She and Harry have a unique bond where she can call him out when heâs being stupid, and heâll listen. She points out that if Sirius is caught by the Dementors, heâll suffer a lot more than whatever Harry could hope to do to him. So instead, Harry turns his attention back to restoring his spot on the Quidditch team. (As well as helping Hagrid with Buckbeakâs case, if we assume Buckbeak is still on the hotseat. I doubt he is, though.) His Slytherin friends have been advising him to buy a racing broom of his own. Heâs a better flier than Draco, and heâs got the gold for it, so why not? Before Harry can pursue this idea, however, Christmas comes and he gets the Firebolt anyway.Â
This instantly makes Harry more popular among the Slytherins, inspires the awe and envy of his Weasley pals, and is enough to convince Flint to once again replace Draco with Harry. Though Hermione isnât here to tell McGonagall about The Firebolt, it would quickly become the talk of the school anyway, and it would reach the ear of the teachers. Meaning Snape likewise confiscates it as McGonagall did, though heâs certainly more of a bully about it, with his typical sneer and everything. When Harry protests, Snape can shut him up by admitting that yes, Sirius was the brains behind the attempt on his life, so Harry had best take this seriously.Â
At this point, Dobby reappears and is unable to provide any information about Sirius. He searched Hogsmeade and the surrounding areas, he searched Diagon and Knockturn Alley, he even called upon Siriusâ old family home and spoke with the Black family elf Kreacher, but Kreacher had not seen him in years. Dobby does have an interesting story to provide though. While searching Diagon Alley, he witnessed Harry Potterâs cat visiting Gringotts, carrying a slip of parchment in his mouth. Dobby was unable to eavesdrop, but Crookshanks subsequently left Gringotts and went over toâŚQuality Quidditch Supplies. Harry is flabbergasted. Crookshanks bought him The Firebolt? It canât be, right? Dobby further reveals that heâs seen Crookshanks hanging out with a mysterious black dog. Yeah, itâs safe to say that Harry begins to wonder about his cat.Â
Harry begins his Patronus lessons with Remus, I donât see why that would change. He likewise learns that Remus knew James and Sirius during their time at Hogwarts, though as before, Remus wouldnât let on just how close they actually were. Harry struggles for a while, but eventually settles on the memory of looking into The Mirror of Erised in Dumbledoreâs Office, which remains one of the happiest moments of his life. This proves effective at helping him conjure a basic Patronus. Meanwhile, Harry has to tell Flint that heâs lost the Firebolt, and Flint probably doubts Harry ever had one to begin with. Or, if heâs already seen it, he can just say that Harry has to get it back if he wants to be on the team. Either way: No Firebolt, no Seeking for him.
Scabbers disappears. Ron initially blames Crookshanks but later concedes that it would have been damn near impossible for him to be responsible. Harry, remembering Dobbyâs tale, is privately not so sure. He is given back The Firebolt, probably by McGonagall still as Snape wouldnât want to return it, and she can make some professional rivalâs comment encouraging him to work hard, because itâs going to take more than a good broomstick to defeat Gryffindor. That kind of thing. I think McGonagall is rather fond of Harry, even if she doesnât know him as well this time. Sheâd have seen him hanging with Ron and Ginny, after all.Â
At some point in the latter half of this year, Hermione dropped Divination. Harry is now back on the Quidditch team, much to Dracoâs anger, so he has less time to study, and since heâs taking three electives, he can technically drop one. Would be easy to say Muggle Studies as thatâs the new addition, but I actually feel like, of the three, heâd be most likely to drop Divination as well. He never liked it much, and Trelawney opened this year by predicting his death. So he drops Divination at around this point and therefore he never hears the second Prediction.Â
Harryâs next Quidditch match could happen here, whether against Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw doesnât really matter. While this is where he first met Cho, when he faced her in Quidditch, I think Harryâs less likely to crush on her this time. Sure, sheâs pretty, and heâd notice, but heâs also been spending a lot of time with Ginny, and for bonus points, letâs say at least one of his new Slytherin friends is now on the team as well. No way to know if this would happen in the original universe but we do have to take some liberties here. Harry may have been too late to be in this match anyway, but letâs say he was. I think either way, he wins, and a similar sequence plays out where Draco attempts to sabotage him by dressing up as Dementors with Crabbe and Goyle. Harry conjures a Corporeal Patronus for the first time but doesnât even notice as heâs too busy chasing the Snitch. Remus notices though, and he notices its form.Â
Sirius breaks into Gryffindor Tower and appears over Ronâs bed before Ron screams and Sirius manages to escape. Everyone is hard pressed to understand why Sirius keeps going after Gryffindor Tower. It has to be common knowledge at this point that Harry isnât there, right? Harry half-wonders if Sirius isnât deliberately targeting the Weasleys to hurt him, and his anger is stoked even further. When he talks about this with Theo and the others, he is oddly tempted by their description of The Unforgivable Curses, and how, if Harry really wants to take the fight to Sirius, heâll need that kind of magic on his side. (I have to assume that he would have heard about the Curses a bit sooner in that Common Room.)Â
The next Hogsmeade visit would play out similarly. I think this is where Ginny finds out about The Marauderâs Map, and while she normally appreciates a good bit of mischief, she finds The Map disturbing. It reminds her of Tom Riddleâs diary, which, once Harry sees it, he cannot unsee it, and is now hesitant to trust The Map as well. Ron argues that it has only ever helped them and Harry eventually agrees to go to Hogsmeade with him, but Ginny insists on coming as well, and sheâs not taking no for an answer. She wants to look out for them.Â
Whatâs different about this sequence is that Harry does not have The Cloak with him, so he wouldnât go around throwing mud at Draco because heâd get seen. Draco may wind up seeing him anyway, but Harry still makes it back to Hogwarts before Snape is told, so thereâs still no proof. In this timeline, he doesnât even have The Marauderâs Map, so Remus doesnât get brought in, he doesnât find out Harry has the Map, and he doesnât confiscate it. Now *that* is going to make a hell of a lot of difference in a short while.
Quidditch Final time. Again, I donât think it matters which House Slytherin winds up facing. Either way, Harryâs on a Firebolt, and heâs a brilliant Seeker, not to mention the rest of the team is on Nimbus 2001s. So I think itâs safe to say Slytherin wins, which bolsters Harryâs reputation among his Housemates by a lot. Draco, meanwhile, is sinking into unpopularity and hating it. Heâs never hated Harry more. Exams begin, but Harryâs no longer in Divination, so he doesnât hear the Prediction. No one else was there, so it goes unheard.Â
So how does the climax play out? Probably plays out mostly the same, at least at first. Assuming that Crookshanks accompanies Harry around to various places, heâd likely be there when Harry visits Hagrid. Ron may also be there, Ginny might be too, but given their different schedules itâs not a guarantee and honestly it doesnât change much. Either way, it was Ron who found Scabbers in the original timeline, but it could easily be Crookshanks, and either way, Crookshanks goes in for the kill. He grabs Scabbers in his mouth and takes off through the open window.Â
Harry and Ron give chase, pursuing Crookshanks to the ominous Whomping Willow, where he seems to vanish behind the branches. Both boys are concerned for their animal companions, and Harry is not one to give up, so a few black eyes and sprained ankles later, they discover the secret entrance and make their way inside. Ron has the Marauderâs Map, but it wouldnât extend all the way to the Shack, meaning they wouldnât see the damning names of Sirius and Peter. So when they arrive, they find Sirius Black sitting with Crookshanks, holding Scabbers in a binding spell. (Sirius totally worked out that Crookshanks was Harryâs cat and is all the more fond of him because of it.)
Sirius likely incapacitates Ron in some fashion, binding him with ropes, body-binding him, silencing him, or something to that effect. Harry attacks Sirius, and given how he's lived in the Slytherin Dungeons for the last three years, odds are he knows of The Unforgivables. Him not knowing them was basically the only reason he didn't use them here, in the original timeline. Would he kill Sirius? I doubt he has it in him, but you know what Harry could and likely would do? Crucio. I feel sick just saying it but Harry did have an unfortunate pattern of using that spell even in the original books. Ron is horrified, and Sirius, amid his screams, pleads with Harry. Asks for the chance to tell his side of the story. Harry relents, just for a moment, and agrees to listen. If nothing else, he wants to know why Sirius did it, right?
Sirius insists that Peter is alive and begs for the chance to prove it. Either Harry agrees, or Sirius manages to disarm him. Either way, he then force Peter to resume human form, before explaining everything to Harry. He also releases Ron from his own binding, as a gesture of good will. He likely assumes Ron is Harryâs friend, and figures a warning not to run will suffice. (As if Ron was ever going to abandon a friend.) But anyway, onto the story. The story of how he and his friends became Animagi, (though leaving out certain details like about Remus being a Werewolf) how he, Sirius, was initially The Secret Keeper but the plan was changed at the last second under the belief that Voldemort would never suspect a wimp like Peter of being the Keeper. But Peter had been a spy for Voldemort for a while by that point. Peter denies everything, but cannot explain how he himself is alive.
The pieces all fall into place as they do in the original timeline - such as Scabbers having always been missing a toe, or how he was stressed and sick before he met Crookshanks, at around the point Siriusâ escape was reported. All of that still checks out, Ron still went on that trip to Egypt and all. But hereâs an important change - Remus never got his hands on The Map. Therefore, he didnât see Peterâs name on it, and didnât head down to The Willow. Therefore, Snape didnât either. Therefore, Remus doesnât miss his last dose of Wolfsbane and transforms safely in his office.Â
This is the final nail in the coffin for our poor little traitor. Harry not being quite as close to Ron, as well as Ronâs early traumas, meant that Fred and George were always going to give him the Map instead of Harry. If Harry never gets it, Remus never confiscates it, and without Remus having the Map, he isnât involved in Peterâs capture. It was only Remusâ transformation that gave Peter the opening to escape. So how about that. Harry being a Slytherin means that Peter doesnât get away at all. His back to the wall, he could try blackmail - threatening to reveal Sirius is an Animagus and that Harry used an Unforgivable. But both of them are probably undeterred. Sirius, Harry, and Ron all carefully lead him through the Willowâs secret passage and back up to the castle.Â
(Of course, in both timelines, they literally could have just stunned Peter, and taken the risk of him trying to escape completely out of the equation. I have no damn clue why Sirius doesnât think of this. Harry doesnât know the stunning spell yet but both Sirius and Remus should. Oh well. It may be a plot hole but it ainât MY plot hole.)Â
The only real tricky part is getting into the Castle, getting past the Dementors. But Harry can conjure his Patronus properly for the first time here. Itâs not as cool as using it to save his past self, but it will suffice. Sirius also conjures his big olâ puppy dog Patronus, and together they clear the way. Actually making it inside the castle is tricky, as seeing Sirius Black would lead to people firing first and asking questions later. But Harry could jump in front of him to shield him, and with Crookshanks nearby, the chance of Peter trying to sneak off or succeeding at such is unlikely.Â
What happens next depends heavily on who Harry actually encounters first. Probably Peeves or Filch, and if itâs the latter, he would be of no help at all and I could honestly see Sirius just hexing him out of frustration. If Snape shows up, thatâs an absolute nightmare, you all know he wouldnât listen to Harry or Ron. But I have to assume McGonagall, the absolute queen of punctuality and also the second in command at Hogwarts, would get there shortly after Snape if not before. She would listen to reason, and both she and Snape would, of course, recognize Peter. We can have a nice moment where McGonagall apologizes to Sirius for doubting him and expresses disappointment in Peter.
With the spy apprehended and sent to Azkaban, Sirius is exonerated. Course, Peter probably blabs, in an attempt to get a reduced sentence. Sirius could just as easily be thrown right back into a cell for being an unregistered Animagus. Snape would certainly be pushing for that to happen. But I think Dumbledore would be able to persuade Fudge that such a sentence should be commuted. After all, Sirius did spend 12 years in Azkaban for a crime he didnât commit. At that point the Ministry should be willing to call it even. I have my suspicions that Dumbledore may not want Sirius around, as he cannot control him the way he can The Weasleys, but Sirius still has a legitimate claim to guardianship over Harry. Still, Dumbledore also wants to stay in Harryâs good books, and thereâs no legitimate reason Sirius wouldnât be acquitted here.Â
As for Harry, I can see that being overlooked as well, though this will have consequences down the road. The Trace doesn't seem capable of detecting if an underage wizard uses an Unforgivable, but if a genuine accusation was made, Priori Incantatem would prove Harry's guilt. Nonetheless, he's thirteen years old, he had a justifiable catalyst, and Sirius, the victim of the equation, isn't exactly pressing charges. I think Dumbledore could make these charges go away. However, Fudge's patience is starting to wear thin. I also think Ron's friendship with Harry has now suffered another fracture, even if Ron doesn't actually discuss it with Harry outright. For his part, Harry feels awful about having done that to Sirius, who immediately and unconditionally forgives him, because of course he does.
So what does this mean moving forward? Well, we have a few points to go over. First of all, because Remus never misses his Potion and never gets loose on the grounds in Wolf formâŚdoes he even still resign? Well, knowing the job is jinxed, I think he does still have to leave somehow. It occurs to me that, Remus missing his potion or not, Snape could still out him. And while Remus did have a close call in the original timeline, that was never the real reason Snape exposed him - he was angry that Sirius got away. Harry helping to clear Siriusâ name would inspire similar rage, and I think Snape would still tell the Slytherins about Remus. Harry doesnât (initially) view this as a horrible betrayal because he didnât even know Remus was a Werewolf. He is instead confused and upset, especially since his Slytherin pals (and Ron) would speak horribly of Werewolves. Heâd ask Snape if it was true, and later go see Remus.Â
I think this meeting, as well as a later one with Sirius, would begin to turn Harryâs mind around. It is here that he would learn why The Marauders became Animagi, that they wrote the Map. Harry realizes that Ron has it, though he may or may not tell Ron. I think Harry talks to Sirius as well, and he asks Sirius if he and James really tried to kill Snape. Sirius would downplay this, act as though it was no big deal, but Remus would not think it was so funny. Harry would reflect on the endless conflict between his father and Snape, comparing it to his own with Draco.Â
So what happens to Harry? I think itâs at this point that Harry wants to go live with Sirius, if Sirius will have him, and we all know he will. Dumbledore would likely tell them about The Blood Wards at this point, because I donât think Sirius is going to just accept that #DumbledoreHasHisReasons. Heâll want to know why on earth Harry is expected to stay with Lilyâs horrid sister, and once he finds out about the abuse Harry suffered at the hands of the Dursleys - heâs going to hit the fucking roof. What's more, he's seen James's son, who was Sorted into Slytherin to be taught be Snivellus and he's already learning Unforgivables. If Dumbledore and Sirius can agree on one thing, it's that Harry badly needs proper guidance.
So, because of the Blood Wards, Sirius begrudgingly agrees that Harry can stay at Privet Drive for a couple of weeks a year if Sirius can stay with him. As Padfoot or otherwise. (The Dursleys are going to love that.) Remus is out of a job at this point but Sirius and Harry both have money, so ultimately, he probably stays with them. (My Wolfstar shipping heart is racing, but Iâll stay focused.) The main question is where Sirius will go to live at this point.
Logically, heâd stay at Grimmauld Place, but he hates it there. Thatâs the house he grew up in and was abused in. He has the money to live somewhere else, but finding a three bedroom flat in London on short notice, when heâd have to translate that money into muggle moneyâŚI feel like this is one of those situations where heâd plan to find somewhere else to live, but would initially, reluctantly, move back home until he gets his life re-established, only to be stuck in a rut in that same house.
Couple more points about Sirius. One, I think he demands that Harryâs Cloak be returned permanently, and Dumbledore concedes on the condition that Harry promises not to use it irresponsibly. Sirius also doesnât need to write Harry and Ron from afar and rather than Ron receiving Pigwidgeon, I wonder if Harry doesnât give one of his pets to Ron. Since, yâknow, he lost his rat and all. Whether itâs Hedwig, so that he can have an owl, or Crookshanks. The latter idea is considerably funnier, but Harry would have bonded with Crookshanks by this point as well, and Sirius would have too. Anyway, that about wraps up âOwl Post Again.â The Dementors are still removed from Hogwarts as Sirius is cleared, and he signs Harryâs Hogsmeade permission slip like always.Â
We're starting to see the fractures. The timeline is changing more and more. Cannot wait to see what becomes of this in GOF!

Tommy is dead. The server reacts.
(word count: 1,732)
---------------
âWhat have you done?â
His voice is a reedy whisper, thin with horror and the realization that he is too little, too late. He doesnât expect the sound to carry over the lava, but a response comes soon enough.
âHe wouldnât stop talking. And he killed the cat.â
Dreamâs voice is even, calm, almost a bit defensive, as if he truly believes that he is justified in his actions. Sam swallows down his mounting nausea, places his trident against the floor to steady himself. The lava crackles, hisses, bubbles, orange and glowing, and he canât cross it. Not now. Not when the security threat remains unresolved. Not when any wrong move on his part could very well mean Dreamâs escape.
But heâs already made the wrong move, hasnât he? Made the wrong move, and Tommy has paid for it. Has been paying for it, this whole last week. He kept him in there, kept him locked in a box with Dream even though he knows very well how it would effect him, kept him locked in with the reasoning that it was temporary, that he would let him out as soon as he could, that he couldnât risk Dreamâs release for anyone, even for Tommy.
But itâs not temporary.
Tommy was sixteen and loud-mouthed and bright-eyed when Sam last saw him, when he said that this would be the last time, that he was going to put his past behind him and look to a new start. Tommy will always be sixteen and loud-mouthed and bright-eyed, and locked in a box. There will be no new start. No seventeenth birthday. No triumphant return, no shining hotel. No tricks, no scams, no pranks.
Tommy was sixteen and loud-mouthed and bright-eyed. Tommy is dead.
He canât even get his body.
He canât even get his body.
Sam stands on the edge of a curtain of lava, staring into the orange glow that hides a monster in a room that is now a childâs pre-made coffin, and he wonders if he is a monster himself.
***
âHeâs fine.â
Itâs the only thing to say. The only truth. The only possibility. Sure, the message is there, glaring up from his communicator in bright yellow letters, but itâs not real. Itâs a joke of some kind, a trick. Something to fake everyone out. Maybe Samâs in on it, too. Tommy must be going crazy in there, to think that this would actually be funny, but it sounds like something he would do.
âTubbo,â Ranboo says, and then stops. Nothing else. His face is pale, though things like that are hard to tell, with him, considering that half his face is always pale. But heâs gone an ashy-grey sort of color, and it doesnât look great.
âHeâs not dead,â he says, and laughs a bit. âTommy wouldnât just die like that. Thatâd be ridiculous.â
Tommyâs death would never be so meek. Tommyâs death, when it happens, will be a spectacle, a dramatic showing with speeches and explosions and the sun rising at just the right time and haloing his hair, because TommyInnit deserves nothing less than the best death scene. Women wailing and the like. So Tommy is not dead, because if Tommy were dead, that would mean that he died alone, in the company of no one but his murderer, that he died scared, trapped in a small space with no way out, that he died without Tubbo by his side.
âRight,â Ranboo says, and his voice is doing a peculiar thing that Tubbo canât quite work out. âYeah, of course. Do you wannaâdo you think we should go check it out? Go stop by the prison?â
âWhat for?â he asks. âSamâs not going to let us in. He didnât even when I built a dick on top of it.â
And here is another thing: Tommy canât be dead because it was never supposed to be Tommy first. Tubbo has tried to live without him, and he found it very hard. So Tommy is not allowed to die before Tubbo does. That is the rule that he keeps locked up in his heart, because Tommy would be upset if he knew about it. But itâs a rule that Tubbo intends to follow, so Tommy canât be dead.
That would be against the rules.
âJust to see?â Ranboo tries. Tubboâs not sure why heâs being so insistent about this.
âNah, weâve got a hotel to build,â he says. âCâmon.â
Ranboo follows along behind him. His feet drag, like heâs reluctant. But Tubbo has long since given up on understanding why Ranboo does the things that he does.
***
Heâs dead.
She should be glad about it. This is what she wanted. Tommy dead, punished for all the pain and suffering heâs caused everyone else. No longer able to start wars, to cause harm, to blaze his way through the server and leave a path of destruction in his wake.
Tommy is dead. She should be glad about it. She is glad about it. Sheâs even smiling.
There is a message from Jack. She doesnât check it.
Tommy is dead, that blue-eyed, wide-grinned boy who followed along on his brotherâs coattails. Tommy is dead, that fiery spirit crushed and his overbearing, fast-talking voice silent. Tommy is dead, that loyal friend, the protector and defender of all that he called his, the fighter, the scammer, the boy who loved with all of his heart and then some.
Tommy is dead. Dead, dead, dead. There is no coming back from dead. Dead is final. Dead is an ending. Dead means itâs all over. Tommy is over. Tommy is gone. Tommy will never grow old.
Itâs what she wanted. She should be glad about it. She is glad about it. Sheâs even smiling.
Niki brings her hand to her mouth to check. Itâs a smile. A smile, for sure.
Her fingers come away from her face wet.
***
It was an empty castle already, but it feels emptier now. The different between a possibility and its lack, they suppose.
Tommy was never supposed to die. They canât fathom it, somehow. Canât fathom that itâs real, that Tommy will never grace these halls again. Theyâd finally begun to fix things, begun to work toward redemption, well and truly. And now Tommy is gone.
Eret grips their communicator tightly in their hand.
âIâm sorry,â they murmur to no one at all.
It was never meant to be echoes in their head, over and over and over again, an apology that means nothing but so much scattered dust.
***
He closes his eyes. Breathes. In and out.
This happens. People die. They die, and they leave, and heâs left behind. Thatâs his life. Thatâs how it is.
It still hurts, when it happens. Heâs still learning how to make it not hurt. Still learning how not to be angry, that people find it so easy to abandon him. That people find it so easy to go where he canât follow. Wilbur first, now Tommy, and he doesnât have anyone left, really.
But itâs fine. Itâs alright. He can manage on his own. He always has.
Fundy decides to go to bed early.
***
He takes a moment to breathe. To process. To absorb.
To regret, for what might have been.
The voices in his head call for blood, as they always do, but he will not give them the satisfaction. Not this time. The blood he wants most is not readily accessible, and he will not put himself in the position of confronting the favor owed. Not now. Not like this. Not ever, if he can help it, though he knows that these sorts of things always take their due, always steal their pound of flesh.
âI know, chat,â he says. âYou can all shut up, I know.â
It doesnât appease them. He wasnât expecting it to.
Tommy is dead. Tommy is dead, and their relationship with it. Any tentative attempts toward repairs have been left to rot, to burn on the funeral pyre. Theseus, fallen from the cliff at long last.
The story was always going to end this way. No one can stop the Fates from severing the string.
He stands with a groan. He is not built for this weather, for this cold, and it is a wonder that he keeps being drawn to it, time and time again. It is a balm, he thinks, but for what, he doesnât know. For nothing, at the moment, as the voices threaten to crowd out all the rest. But he canât deal with them right now.
Phil has his own house, now, and a bridge to connect the two. A bridge over still water, such that Tommy will never cross. He should not feel the way he does. Tommy betrayed him. Tommy used him. Tommy discarded him, so he tossed him aside in turn.
But once they were called brothers. Does it mean anything, in the end?
Phil is standing in the middle of the floor, ruined wings on full display. His face is blank, his communicator held loosely in one hand.
âPhil,â he says.
âI failed him,â Phil says. âI shouldâve been there for him, and I wasnât.â
Technoblade has no comfort for the truth.
But he has comfort for his friend, for his friend who is perhaps his father but is definitely family, so he stretches out his arms and catches Phil as he falls, falls and falls and screams, and it is good, he thinks, that the wings are already ruined, because Daedalus tried to catch his son and failed. It is good, he thinks, that the wings are already ruined, so he cannot try again and ruin the rest of himself, too.
***
He nudges the body with his foot.
âYou shouldnât have killed that cat,â he murmurs. The body does not reply, and he sighs.
Tommyâs face is beyond recognition. The blood coats his knuckles. He hopes that thereâs enough water in the sink to wash it out before it sets. He hates it when the blood sets.
He didnât mean to go as far as he did. That doesnât mean much, in the end. This will work just as well.
He is a god, after all. He is a god, and he will have what he deserves, and more besides.
âDonât worry, Tommy,â he says. âIâll make a believer out of you yet.â

Tommyâs character and the theme of failure
One thing Iâve always rather appreciated about Tommyâs story in the Dream SMP is how it explores the idea of failure. It can be a challenging one to do right as it means exploring a characterâs weakness a lot and can start to feel unsatisfying if the character never succeeds but I feel like Tommyâs story avoids this issue as his arc is ultimately an encouraging one. His character never stops trying or gives up in spite of his losses, showing the perseverance to keep going until eventually he starts to find happiness, no matter how elusive it seems.Â
Tommyâs character is no stranger to failure of course but Iâd say this theme starts to become prominent with November the 16th. Tommy had two goals: to save LâManberg and to save Wilbur. He was pretty optimistic about both. And he failed. The day ended in disaster with Wilbur dead, Technoblade, his idol, mocking his heroism and telling him to die, and his home in ruins. It takes him a long time to come to terms with who Wilbur was, separating Wilbur into two in his mind: President Wilbur and the âcrazyâ Wilbur who blew up LâManburg.Â
But Tommy continues on, quietly moving on as LâManburg gets rebuilt. No matter what, he still believes in LâManburg; itâs still alive. Also, he wants to finally get his remaining disc back from Dream, feeling the need to do this after putting it aside for so long.
But of course, things donât go well. That which he had taken for granted, his bond with Tubbo, was under fire. His personal wish to get his discs back was causing division. A simple prank gone wrong was tearing everything apart as Dream threatened LâManburg once again. None of these things were purely Tommyâs actions, and yet his actions played a part all the same as Dream essentially took advantage of all of Tommyâs weaknesses. Tommy was being viewed as a liability, a troublemaker, as self-centred, as a problem.Â
Tommyâs character likely blamed himself somewhat for his failure with Wilbur and LâManburg the first time but it had been out of his hands and his reactions were more shock than being truly broken by the events and he kept up his optimism. Yet this time, the problems were not things far beyond his control. It seemed it was his own mistakes spelling his doom and it impacted him quite severely. As much as he recognised Dream as an antagonist here, his friends distrust of him was his failure. Despite his best efforts, he could not convince Tubbo not to exile him.Â
Rather than seeing the fairly resilient, optimistic Tommy like the first time he was banished, this time Tommyâs defeated. We see the full effects it takes on his mental state and the narrative does not pull its punches. Tommyâs already depressed and we start to see evidence of suicidal thoughts very quickly. This is all made far, far worse by Dream who encourages his dark thoughts and feelings of worthlessness, telling him everyoneâs better off without him while breaking his spirit and making him miserable by repeatedly blowing up his items.Â
Dream was of course Tommyâs enemy, heâd recognised before that what Dream had been doing to LâManburg, with the obsidian walls and insisting on banishing Tommy, had been unfair even if Tommy had been helpless to stop him. Yet over exile we see him really start to internalise Dreamâs words, starting to really believe that narrative that he is unloved and a liability, despite his best efforts. As his mental state worsens we see him starting to believe Dreamâs lies so much that he begins to believe that Dream is really his friend who cares about him. Meanwhile, heâs angrier and lashing out at the people he cares about, we seem him kill Jack, break the bridges he built and generally lashing out at the people he misses the most.Â
So through exile, we see Tommy at his weakest and most vulnerable. We also see some of his flaws with his uglier side, his uncontrolled emotions, his dependency on others, his deep self-worth issues and how he can be so successfully lied to. This deep exploration of Tommyâs character allows us to really see how the repeated failures and setbacks and losses affected his character mentally and depict it as yet another obstacle he needs to overcome.Â
And ultimately he does, ultimately deciding to fight back and run away from exile on his own. Tommyâs arc goes to very depressing places but manages to remain an inspiring story by showing you at his weakest and yet also show him never truly giving up but pressing on, in search of that happy ending. Running away from exile has him also realising that Dream is his enemy, not his friend and he commits to fighting back against him.Â
But of course the narrative doesnât entirely move on. Tommyâs struggles and failures continue to plague him as the mental issues he has with self-worth and his confused feelings towards Dream do not go away. He managed to continue but that wasnât the perfect victory as most of his problems are still there and heâs still the same person. at Technoâs house, we see him and his confusion. Heâs lighthearted and joking about but heâs still deeply troubled without a clear stance on Dream or LâManburg or Tubbo and he clings to the idea of the disc as a simple goal. It seems as if heâs doomed to become the person he hated or make the same mistakes again. He once failed to save Wilbur and it seems as if his greatest failure would be to go down Wilburâs path too, blowing up the country he once loved.Â
And Tommy nearly goes too far. He finally meets Tubbo again and his anger, his issues all come back as does some self-centred behaviour as he declares that âthe discs are worth more than you ever wereâ.
And he immediately regrets it. He apologises, he turns around and gives them up to Dream. He wonât let himself turn into Wilbur.Â
And yet, every little victory he fights so hard for is met with an even greater failure. He switches sides on Technoblade while giving Dream exactly what he wanted. His story isnât a happy one in spite of him trying his very best and making the decisions that are right for him. And we can only wonder how inevitable it was or if he couldâve done better for he hurts Techno deeply. Is he doing better or does his very nature doom him to make the same mistakes again and again?
Once ore, we see LâManburg blown up and this time Tommy declares it a lost cause. Despite his best efforts, itâs over and we can only stare at the ruins of the nation heâd once helped build with Wilbur. Additionally, Tommy is dead to Techno now, that relationship seemingly broken forever.Â
But itâs not the end. Tommy is defeated once more, with each failure hitting harder than the last but he doesnât give up. He keeps on fighting. For all heâs lost, heâs won Tubbo back, and the experiences may have been terrible but he has learned something through all of it. Even if all that is, is understanding suffering a bit better and getting back the courage to apologise and reconcile.
He and Tubbo go after Dream and itâs almost, almost too late. Heâs nearly locked in prison forever and Tubbo almost killed.Â
But itâs not end. Just this once, itâs not a failure. They bet it all and finally had that victory. The rest of the server comes to save them and Dream gets locked in his prison while Tommy and Tubbo are finally free.Â
Course, Tommyâs story isnât over there. And the thing with this theme of failure is that it keeps on cropping up. They may have finally gotten a victory but Tommyâs issues arenât over. he tries to start again, building his hotel but the trauma from exile has made an impact on him. Itâs something that canât be solved in a day, but only over a long time. And despite everything, the issues keep coming back. Tommy feels like things are unresolved with Dream and visits him again.Â
And he gets locked in prison and dies and then gets resurrected. And its all absolutely devastating and it seems as if Tommy will never get better, that heâll never truly have his happy ending. His hotel gets stolen from him and its as if everything he tries to do ends in failure.
He tries to sort things out, tries solving things with killing Dream and it just gets Ghostbur killed and the guilt can only eat at him. Wilbur is back at Tommyâs afraid but time has passed and heâs starting to see Wilbur more for who he is. After all heâs been through, he understands him way better than he did before. He once more commits to helping him but Tommy isnât the naive kid he once was.Â
Tommy still lives in the very same spot he always did. He still wants the same things he always did: a home, security, peace, friends, and heâs been experiencing many losses. And yet, his story is not a hopeless one. Because in spite of all thatâs happened, heâs still trying again. And heâs learned and can avoid making those mistakes again. Right now, heâs doing better, heâs committing to living peacefully in a way he hasnât in a long time. Heâs been attempting to build bridges and though all his failures haunt him, he is gradually healing day by day, still trying to find that happy ending.
I think Tommyâs story is very cool for the way it really explores these themes of failure. It does not pull its punches, its dark, never easy or straightforward but thatâs also what makes it so powerful. Those bright spots, feel so good, they feel so rewarding because they were so hard-fought. We root for Tommyâs character because weâve seen his journey and really feel he deserves his happy end even though its never going to be perfect and indeed every failure is a mixture of forces outside of his control and his character which he has been trying to improve, learning to be nicer, more forgiving and more aware of his own emotions. He canât fix Dream nor does he know how best to help Wilbur but he can help himself and thatâs what heâs always trying to do. He holds himself to account and always tries his best.

OMG pm Dazai dating y/n and leaves without saying anything,,,, reunion when chuuya is interrogating him in their âdungeonâ area, y/n sees him and flat out ignores him until her and chuuya leave, when she full on KISSES chuuya AND WALKS AWAY mmmm angst c:
Tasty angst.. Here I come! This was an amazing idea! I loved writing itâĄ
Speechless
Dazai Osamu x fem! Reader x Chuuya Nakahara
Tw: slight nsfw(kissing), angst, strong language.
"Hey Chuuya, I got here as soon as you called. So, what's the matter?"
You say, walking up to the redhead, a smile on your face.
Noticing the grim look on your friend's face, your smile drops, a concerned look replacing it.
"Chuuya? What's wrong? And why hasn't Osamu arrived?"
Chuuya grit his teeth at your words, and tightened his fists.
"That bastard left."
"What?"
"He left the mafia, Y/N. He abandoned us."
You couldn't believe your ears. No way. You loved him. He loved you too, didn't he? Didn't he?! How.. Why.. When?
"Is this some sick joke, Chuuya? Because I don't appreciate it. It's a very stupid prank. You know how cranky I get when you wake me up in the middle of my sleep. I don't appreciate-"
Chuuya grabbed your shoulders, shaking you. He thought that this was the only way to help you understand. To tell you, that this wasn't some prank. It was true. Dazai had left the the mafia. But what's worse, is that he left the two of you, without as much as a mention of his plan.
"He left, Y/N! He left us! It's not a joke! He.. He's gone.."
Chuuya's grip on you slowly loosened as he teared up. His voice cracked.
You teared up, too. Your mouth was agape, wanting to say so much, express so much, but not knowing how.
"But.. he didn't even say goodbye.."
Chuuya shook his head, gritting his teeth.
"He didn't bother to say goodbye."
....
"Chuuya, you down here?"
That voice.. It belonged to Dazai's lover. He could recognize that voice anywhere. The honey like tone, and the soothing pitch; it had to be Y/N.
Dazai's heart was beating at 1000 kilometers per hour, and he feared that if you came close enough, it would leap out of his chest and tango on the floor.
Every step you took, the sharp sound of your heel against the floor reverberated through the dark dungeons.
The last time he had seen you was the night before he left the mafia. He hadn't told you about his departure, and had simply vanished the next day. He didn't try contacting you, and neither did you try to find out about him. He assumed that you were fine with his decision. But he knew that this assumption was probably wrong. You hated being lied to. You were one of those people that took time to open up to someone, but once they did, they would trust them fully. And he had gone ahead and broken that trust. He had backstabbed you. You were probably livid. Maybe you're coming down here to give him a piece of your mind. Dazai shuddered at the thought of being on the receiving end of your anger. Anybody who witnessed your angry side never lived to tell the tale.
Finally, your outline could be seen above the stairs. You were standing there casually, your hands in the pockets of the Mafia style coat draped over your lithe form. Your coat looked expensive. It most probably was. You were an executive, afterall. You had been since you were 15. You were probably filthy rich by now. Your hair looked as silky as he remembered it to be. A few strands gracefully framed your elegant and chiseled face. You had definitely grown up over the years. The maturity in your eyes, the sharpened features of your face and the soft curves of your body proved it. Dazai couldn't help but stare at his true love, the woman he had fallen for a few years ago, and the one who he was head over heels for now. He simply froze in his place, eyes widenening and mouth slightly agape as he took in your form.
You began strutting down the stairs, observing the prisoner. For a split second, Dazai could spot surprise flash through your eyes.
"Y/N... I didn't want to get you down here.."
Chuuya spoke, a scared look on his face. He was terrified of what you would do if you saw Dazai down here. Part of him knew you hated him, and might lash out on him. That was fine. But what scared him was the other possibility. The other part of him thought that you might forgive him. Considering your kind nature, you might fall prey to Dazai's sweet, manipulative words and forgive him. He would be devastated if you did that. The brunette has caused a lot of pain to you, and Chuuya would absolutely hate it if you decided to be compassionate and forget all that pain. All those tears were shed over the bastard. He couldn't bear to see you ignore all that.
"Yeah, you went out of the way to avoid telling me. I got to know from Tachihara."
You rolled your eyes, smiling at the fiery haired man.
Chuuya fisted his hands, anger building up in his stomach.
"Don't lash out on him! I had to threaten the poor boy to get the info out of him."
You said, holding your hands up to placate him.
You came to stand right next to him.
"I wanted to know if dinner is still on."
Dazai watched the two of you in silence. He wanted to say so much to you, but he couldn't if stupid short rack stayed here.
Well, he didn't have an option. He had to talk to you. And now was the only time he'd get.
"Y/N! It's been so long, hasn't it?"
He grinned at you, waiting for you to grin back or scowl at him.
You looked at him without bothering to face him. You raised an eyebrow, and focused your attention back to Chuuya.
Dazai was heartbroken at that. You never used to ignore him. You used to always be so enthusiastic and encouraging. This is the first time you've ignored him.
"Y/N. I'm so sorry. I know I should have said something, but I was stupid back then. I didn't know how to say, and what to say... I... I love you.. please, will you hear me out?"
His voice cracked. He meant every word he had just uttered. He loved you. Back then, when he left the mafia, he was only 19. Leaving the mafia was the best decision he had ever made in his life. But the way he executed it was wrong. It was stupid. He had lost you.
Chuuya gulped. This is exactly what he had feared.
You finally faced Dazai, hands still in your pockets. Your face held a look of mild intrigue, almost as if you were enjoying this.
You tilted your head to side, eyeing his worn out state.
Without a word, you faced Chuuya.
"I'm starving. Meet me at our usual place."
Chuuya was shocked at your lack of response. He nodded nonetheless.
"Alright. Get started without me. I might take a while."
You placed a hand on his shoulder, and were about to turn to leave.
"Y/N! Please, just hear me out!"
Dazai had never begged anyone other than Odasaku in his life. He had only ever pleaded Oda to not go destroy Mimic. Nobody other than Odasaku had seen Osamu Dazai ever plead to anyone about anything. The demon prodigy of the Mafia always found a way to get what he wanted.
Chuuya was left gaping at the scene.
You grabbed Chuuya's neck, and placed your palm on his cheek. Drawing him in, you kissed him. Right in front of Dazai. You deepened the kiss as Chuuya pulled you in further, leaving no room between the two of you. Tongues danced together, setting an erratic beat, as the two of you got lost in the kiss. The air supply was getting low, and Chuuya needed to come back for air, but you pulled him before he could do so. The lack of oxygen made his eyes flutter close, and he felt light headed. You devoured his mouth, tasting him. Finally pulling back, you bit his bottom lip, and licked it.
Chuuya felt weak in the knees. This wasn't the first time you had kissed him. Hell, you both had done a lot more than just kiss. But it always left him flabbergasted and breathless.
You wasted no time as you turned and walked away, leaving the dungeons after saying a ,"Hope to see you soon!", to Chuuya.
As you disappeared above the stairs, Dazai felt his heart shatter. He felt a pang in his chest, and tears surfaced in his eyes. He exhausted all his energy and self control in keeping his tears in and maintaining a nonchalant posture.
Chuuya was elated. He couldn't express how happy he was even in a thousand words. The love you both shared was strong, and what happened just now had proven it to him. In a twisted way, he was glad that Dazai had left, as it led him to form a beautiful relationship with you.
While Chuuya glowed from giddiness, Dazai cracked on the inside, and felt hollow. He thought that this was what he deserved. Afterall, he was the one who had caused immense pain to you. It's only fair for you to return the favor.
His hair hid half of his face, but Chuuya could easily spot the tears streaming down his cheeks. Chuuya felt bad for him, for Dazai was once his friend. But Dazai had this coming. He had hurt you, and Chuuya is planning to hurt him in return for that.
Lemme know if this is what you were looking for!

The Prison Arc - a Complete Recap
[ /dsmp /rp - All of the people mentioned in this post are the characters, not the content creators behind them. TWs for mentions of fictional murder, abuse, torture, self-harm, and other canon-typical themes. ]
Watch the cut-down version of this recap here! The video doesnât have all the details, but is well-edited and easier to watch.
Starting where we left off, after the Disc War finale, Dream reveals the last trick up his sleeve, the revival book. Seeing him as an active danger to the server, the people need a way to get rid of him in order to keep themselves and each other safe, but instead of killing him, they store him away for later use, also making the prison a Vault in a literal sense.
This is where the story of the prison seemingly begins, but - letâs rewind for a moment, because any and all information here is vital. What do we know about the prison? It was commissioned for 64 diamond blocks by Dream to be built by Awesamdude a day after Tommy was exiled. The prison was supposed to be inescapable, and hold a highly capable individual, yet allow visitors.
Getting back to the lore, a day after Dream arrives in the prison, Tommy goes to visit him. During this visit, Dream states that there is nothing to do in the cell besides watching the clock on the wall, and that he is planning on writing something in the books that were given to him. Tommy shows him how to spin the clock really fast, which Dream calls a new game. He says that he is doing well so far, that he gets fed raw potatoes and can write or âswimâ. He goes on to jump into the lava that blocks off his cell, killing himself. Tommy teases him, Dream asking him to visit more as he is alone in the cell with no real interaction. He then argues that if he stays for a long while and gets better, he can be freed, however Tommy doesnât agree. Dream then apologizes, presumably to convince Tommy he can be let go, and talks about feeling bad about things he lost during the Finale. Tommy gives him five books to write, saying itâs so that he can forgive him. After this exchange, Tommy asks who Dream misses the most, and Dream yells for Sam to make him leave.
Around this time, as he reveals later, Dream starts telling Sam about what he did to Tommy in exile, which leads to the Warden becoming increasingly fearful and especially hateful towards the prisoner.
Nine days later, BadBoyHalo decides to pay Dream a visit as well. Dream is slow to respond at first, commenting that BBH is the first visitor in a while. He says heâs doing good, and spins the clock, because apparently he burnt some of his books, and doesnât write much anymore. Bad tries to be optimistic about his conditions, and Dream agrees in a very⌠unconvincing, tone of voice. (29:40 - 29:49)
He says that he gets potatoes, but theyâre raw, so theyâre not good food. Apparently, Sam has told him he couldnât have any visitors for a few days, because he would try to get out. He concurs to Bad that he did bad things that got him locked up, and asks how Sapnap and George are doing - noting that they havenât visited him yet. Bad tells him that Tommy has started a hotel, and about the Egg. Dream seems lethargic and preoccupied the entire time, spinning his clock - he says heâs named it, but doesnât want to elaborate further. He gives Bad a note that says âthank you for visiting me badboyhalo!â and explains that his sentence is forever, which is later also confirmed by Sam, and goes on to talk more about the clock and how he âlikes it halfwayâ itâs because c!Ranboo metaphorically is the clock-
He once again reiterates that there is not a lot for him to do, and that nearly no one has visited him. He reveals to BadBoyHalo that he sometimes does a âprankâ where heâll burn his clock, so that Sam has to come to replace it and he can see and say hi to him. After being asked whether or not he gets in trouble for it, he replies that Sam will sometimes deprive him of food as punishment, essentially starving him for his attempts at interaction, though Dream diminishes it and laughs about Sam reprimanding him. The Warden is planning to make an automated food dispenser so as to not have to come into the cell himself, which means even less interaction in essence. Despite all of this, he says that Sam is âtreating him amazingâ and that heâs happy. During the visit, he sniffles and coughs as he talks, voice low and void of energy.
BadBoyHalo wants to become a prison guard so that he can make the cell look nicer, perhaps giving Dream a potted plant and flower or two, as well as promising heâll talk to George and Sapnap who Dream says he wants to visit him the most. He encourages him to look forward to better things, think positively, and - (42:03 - 42:20) As BBH freaks out, he explains that hurting himself this way is how he keeps himself entertained, setting himself on fire again. He says he wants to summon Bad into the cell by breaking a block when he becomes a guard, but goes back on this as it would potentially make Sam mad. Bad promises to visit with his friends, and leaves the cell.
He tells Sam that he needs to replace the clock, who refuses to, seeming frustrated with Dreamâs antics. Bad tries to convince him to give it back, Sam saying it doesnât matter whether Dream has it or not, although itâs basically one of Dreamâs only sources of entertainment, and Bad tells him to give him one more clock as a compromise. Sam asks whether he⌠said anything, suspiciously enough? And Bad says they only talked a bit and that he jumped in the lava. Sam confirms he does that a lot and he thinks itâs for attention.
BadBoyHalo feels conflicted, to say the very least. (53:34-54:02 54:16-54:33 56:34-56:53 1:02:24-1:03:05)
That very same day, Ranboo has a strange hallucination-like nightmare about visiting Dream. However when he tries to visit again, Sam tells him that he visited not too long after Dream was first locked up, also bringing a memory book with him. Later, during the prison podcast with Techno, Dream himself mentions Ranboo and says that he âused to visit a lotâ before stopping completely - this lines up with what Ranboo does afterwards, having Sam promise to never let him in again.
On February 7th, Dream dies in lava repeatedly on someoneâs stream. This happens a couple of times throughout peopleâs time on the server, and seems to line up with Samâs claim that he swims in lava pretty often.
Twenty-one days into Dreamâs stay in the cell, Sapnap finally decides to visit. Dream stands mostly still and silent, holding the clock in his hand, and explains through books that heâs not talking because heâs on strike. He places the clock and spins it - Sam seems to have renamed it to âDO NOT BURNâ. He tells Sapnap that he took too long, who responds that it took him a while because he felt hurt, but also says that Dream can talk to him if he wants to. Dreamâs cell has had some of the obsidian changed out for crying obsidian as a security measure - Dream couldâve, and tried to, light a nether portal in the cell to escape. Sapnap tells him he needs to stay in the prison, because that is where he deserves to be - Dream burns his clock in response, insisting that he will get better and get out eventually. Sapnap threatens to kill him if he does - Dream simply tells him to deliver a message to Ranboo because he stopped visiting, a smiley face, which seems to trigger his enderwalk when received, and promises to stop throwing his clock away in return. Sapnap says heâll visit more, and that heâll tell George to visit him as well.
The next visit is nine days later, and is an attempt at getting closure. Tommy notes thereâs a little hole on the prison roof when he goes to check up on it beforehand. (1:39-1:44). When Sam asks, Tommy says he thinks Dream is deserving of being locked up, but he highlights he doesnât think he deserves death. He implies he could or might deserve torture though. (12:13-12:16). He says heâll only ever visit Dream if he needs anyone revived from now on, calling it the only reason Dreamâs still alive. Upon entering the cell, he notices some of the obsidian is now crying obsidian.
The first thing Dream tells Tommy is that he lost his clock since the last time he visited him. Tommy seems nervous, stumbling over his words. Dream eagerly tells Tommy heâs glad he came to visit him, that itâs been a while, and that he wishes he would visit him more. He says he likes having people visit him, that he likes just talking to them (23:46-23:49).
Tommy tells Dream this is his last visit. Dream argues that forever is a long time, asking why it is the last time. Tommy tells him heâs the pinnacle of villainy and that he wants to move on. He says heâs been suffering from success while Dream wasnât there. Dream replies that he has been too, except without the success part, just suffering - Tommy says he had it coming. Dream nonchalantly replies with âyeahâ. He goes on to say that maybe one day he could leave, saying heâs already been changing since he came. They talk about the crying obsidian, Tommy comparing the situation to exile, which devolves into an argument. He finds out that Dream burnt the books he was supposed to write, and that BadBoyHalo visited at some point. Dream asks him to visit again, but Tommy refuses, saying heâs terrible. Dream says that everyone thinks theyâre in the right, and that he did bad things for good reasons (31:51-32:13) - Tommy refuses to listen to said reasons, listing Dreamâs crimes again, and says he refuses to stress himself out by going to visit Dream any longer. Dream says heâs trying to change, promising to be better if he comes back, and Tommy says goodbye.
In that moment, explosions are heard going off in the distance. The two talk about it for a moment, before Tommy starts yelling for Sam. His name disappears and the Warden doesnât answer as more TNT goes off, Tommy freaking out and Dream seeming to find it interesting.
Tommy starts begging Dream for a way out, and Dream tells him calmly that Sam is dealing with the security issue. Tommy doesnât get it, so Dream explains that it means he could be stuck in there for a little bit, maybe even days. Tommy is getting desperate, Dream tells him he knows he signed a book, because heâs the one who wrote it, that said that if thereâs a security issue, he can be in there for up to a week.
Tommy rambles about all the things he has to do that week and calls out for Phil. Dream suggests they break out together, but Tommy refuses this offer.
Dream gives Tommy some potatoes, who hits him and yells at him to explain, to which Dream yells back he has no idea what is going on as heâs locked in a room.
Tommy accuses Dream that heâs lying, saying itâs too perfectly timed to be a coincidence, calling him the monster of the server, saying he hasnât changed, and Dream trying to convince him he did or heâs trying to. The two argue, Dream bringing up exile in the process, until Dream suggests to just deal with each otherâs presence, not hit each other, and explains heâs happy to finally have company, Tommy panicking and saying he wants to hurt Dream. He takes the âthank youâ books from the chests, as well as empty books and quills, and burns them despite Dreamâs protests, telling him if Sam hears him panicking over the items, heâll come back - Dream begs Tommy to just wait, panicked, and gives him potatoes.
After quite a bit of arguing and Tommy nearly punching Dream into the lava multiple times, Sam says the prison is on lockdown. Tommy is incredulous. Dream says itâs not that bad, that they have tons of time to bond, and after Tommy repeatedly calls him dumb and evil, Dream loses his cool, yelling that Tommyâs the one thatâs being dumb. Tommy calms down as the realization sets in, and the stream ends.
The next time we see Dream and Tommy, the scene opens with Tommy running around the cell, making loud noises, and Dream sitting in the cauldron, writing. Heâs frustrated and asks Tommy to be quiet - who looks at the cat that seems to have appeared in the cell, calling it annoying. Dream disagrees, saying itâs the best thing thatâs happened to them - Tommy tries to repeatedly lead it away from its place on the chest, however the cat always comes back. He keeps asking Dream questions, punching the cat to which Dream stands in front of it, asking him to stop. Sam appears to give them potatoes. He asks Sam to let him out, who refuses as the security issue hasnât been fixed yet. Tommy complains about not having enough food, to which Dream gives him some as well as Sam dispensing more into the cell. Tommy punches Dream away from the potatoes, also getting the clock. He tells Sam that this feels like exile, but worse, saying heâs claustrophobic - he refuses once again, and leaves the two alone. Dream says itâs not that bad - that heâs gotten used to the cell, that heâs happy to have company and a cat with him. He burns the clock, and after Tommy asks to be let out again, suggests they escape together - Tommy says no, punching the cat as Dream tries to stand in front of it to take the blow. He asks Dream if he loves it, killing it when he says that he does and wants it to stay after Tommy leaves. In response to this, Dream says that the cat was hope he could stay in the prison and be content, however now heâs even more motivated to escape and get his revenge on everybody whoâs wronged him. He says heâs grown tired of Tommyâs whining about being in the same box heâs been locked in for a hundred times longer - Tommy tells him he will never get out, and Dream promises to never use the revive book on him or his friends. He says heâll be freed someday, because the only way heâll ever revive anyone, is if heâs let out - Tommy reveals he doesnât think the revive book, the only reason people are keeping Dream alive, is real. They argue, Dream asking if the fact he canât be killed because of the leverage he holds makes him some kind of god - Tommy disputes that he has said leverage, Dream killing him as a result to prove the point that his life still holds value because he can bring people back to life.
In the aftermath of this event, Sam reacts by saying he didnât anticipate Dream actually killing Tommy - hence he never reached the cell in time. When Bad mocks him for this, he replies saying that he thought he had âbroken the will out of himâ to act up that way. He also reveals that Dream laughed when he started screaming at him - he says he canât think of worse ways to punish him than he already does, not knowing what time it is, without the clock and with only raw potatoes as food.
After this happens, Sam leaves for an island that we see in Quackityâs lore later on. Quackity comes to visit him, only to rile him up and give him the idea to kill Dream in retaliation - however, when they arrive in the prison, Sam realizes that Tommy trusted him to keep Dream locked up and alive, and decides against it because of his duty and the revive book.
Two days after Tommy died, he was revived once again, with Dream asking him questions about death and the limbo, such as how long heâs been there, who heâs talked to, and what it felt like. He says he was scared it wouldnât work, because he had never tried it before; Tommy details that being dead felt horrible, heâs talked to Wilbur and Mexican Dream although Schlatt, strangely enough, appeared to be asleep. He expresses signs of trauma when Dream punches him after being asked to do so, and has somewhat of a breakdown in the cell. Dream proclaims he is a god as he can revive people, and Tommy says Wilbur said horrible things to him while he was in limbo with him, and tried to get Dream to promise him that he would never bring him back, declaring Wilbur worse and more dangerous than Dream ever was - Dream refuses, saying he is the only one with the power to decide on that, and he thinks Wilbur hasnât done anything that bad. He also suggests experimenting on Tommy to find out more about the afterlife, and perhaps even become unkillable. Tommy realizes Dream is the revive book, in essence, and there is no other way to get rid of it than to kill him, to make sure Wilbur stays dead forever. Dream invites him to kill him, however Tommy realizes he canât, because then heâll be stuck in the cell alone forever - Dream even walks into lava for him, all the while detailing the possible consequences of such an act.
Dream says that when Tommy gets out, he can tell everyone the revive book is real - that he wasnât lying. He also says since he can kill everyone and bring them back, theyâre his puppets - when Tommy asks him why he killed him, Dream says he wouldnât listen to him, and hence he had to prove the legitimacy of the revive book to him. He says heâll let Tommy go, and not kill him again, just so that Sam doesnât cut off his visitors further or starve him again - but also promises to bring back Wilbur, with whose help he will escape.
After eight more days, Dream and Tommy are still stuck together within the room, Dream remarking that heâs starving, confirming Sam hasnât come back to give either of them food during the time since Tommyâs revival. He lets Tommy keep his when he says he has only one, and the two bicker after Dream hits him. Theyâre bored, waiting for the Warden, and have no idea how much time has passed - Tommy burns his food in lava as they argue again, before Sam finally arrives, and Tommy is released. Tommy warns him to not allow Dream any visitors, saying he plans to escape, and that Techno owes him a favor. He also calls Sam inadequate to run the prison.
After this experience, both Ranboo and Tommy start plotting to kill Dream, so that he canât âbring back the villainsâ of the past, present, and future, allowing them to rid the world of such dangerous individuals for good.
However, another person also ends up becoming interested in the powers of the revive book - and that person, is none other, than Quackity.
He doesnât intend to destroy its powers for good, though. He persuades Sam into letting him bring weapons into the cell as a means of getting the revive book, taking away the last bit of power Dream has, and allowing them to take his final life. Sam agrees in the end, giving him better tools before he steps into the cell, including netherite weapons and shears. During the first visit, Dream comments he hasnât had a clock in a while, Quackity saying the cell doesnât look very comfortable. He goes on to talk about Dreamâs loss of control since he got locked up, to which Dream asks if he came to gloat. Quackity brings up Tommyâs death, and Dream is interested in other peopleâs reactions. The topic goes back to the revive book, Dream asking again whether people knew it was real now, saying itâs good that they do. Quackity begins to ask that he gives it to him, but Dream refuses, saying he burnt it a long time ago and it is preserved only in the form of knowledge. Quackty takes out the weapons, and after the initial shock, Dream begins to frantically yell for Sam, not knowing the two are working together. Quackity promises to come torture him daily until he gets the revive book from him.
Around this time, the prisonâs keycards are stolen by Ponk. Sam builds him a room, planning on killing him and then burning him with lava, beating and poisoning him until he gives them back, even though at this point they arenât even functional. (4:05 - 4:24) Ponk tries to talk him out of it, saying that the prison is controlling him as much as the Egg would, and that heâs changed. (6:26 - 6:38) Sam ends up cutting off one of Ponkâs arms, successfully getting every last one of the defunct keycards back.
Later on, while BadBoyHalo and Antfrost are handing out invites to the Red Banquet on behalf of the Eggpire, Sam greets them holding a clock and gives them empty books & quills he claims to have confiscated from Dream.
In Quackityâs next lore video, we get confirmation that he has in fact been coming in daily to torture Dream, always escorted by Sam, using different tools and staining his shirtâs sleeves red.
Tommy finally decides to come and kill Dream, sneaking in with an invisibility potion while using Ghostbur as an alibi. The lava starts dropping, and Dream seems to run around the cell once, before coming to a stop at the center. Ghostbur yells excitedly when he finally spots Dream on the other side. He looks at Ghostbur, coming closer to the edge to wave at him, but stops waving when he spots Sam. He backs off slightly, breaking eye contact with Sam. Ghostbur and Tommy cross the lava, and Dream has his back turned on Ghostbur.
As soon as Tommy arrives at the cell, and before the netherite bars drop, he reveals the Axe of Peace. Sam yells at them to stop. Dream takes a step towards the entrance, Tommy immediately turns to him, trying to hit him. Dream backs off until he hits the wall, letting out a small âWhat?â. Tommy crosses the bridge while Ghostbur stays. Tommy and Sam argue, Dream interrupts, but Sam shuts him down, telling Ghostbur to get further away from him.
Dream pleads for Sam to let him out, who tells everyone to shut up, as Tommy is asking Ghostbur if he can reach Dream to kill him. Dream yells that he has a hostage. Sam answers that heâs just a ghost, while Dream stammers that Sam wouldnât let another person die.
Tommy starts insulting Sam, calling him a horrible warden and telling him to kill Dream, and they start arguing again. (31:00-31:13, 33:50-33:58) Dream shows that he has the revive book in his hands. Ghostbur starts pleading for Tommy to help him. Tommy and Ghostbur count to ten, Sam telling them to shut up. After he shuts down a last request to set Dream free, he kills Ghostbur as the lava starts covering the entrance.
After well over two months of daily visits, a scene opens with Quackity showing Dream which weapon he will use that day, choosing an axe. Dream tries to take it off the item frame, however fails and only gets himself in trouble, with Quackity yelling at him while he cowers. He says itâs getting tiring, but that he needs to come in to remind him every day about everything heâs done or else heâll forget, to which Dream promises he wonât. Quackity then proceeds to ask him questions about his involvement and relationship with Technoblade, and tells him to write a note, inviting him to visit. He refuses to say why, but promises to give Dream a week-long break if he obeys. Dream doesnât trust him, continuing to question his motives. He tries to compromise, offering to write a note to Sapnap instead. Quackity goes on to threaten to kill him, saying he doesnât care about the revival book, and that he likes hurting Dream, because in his eyes, he can never pay back the amount of evil Dreamâs done to everyone on the server. He says not even Sam can help him, swinging his axe around and hitting Dream with a sword while he begs him to stop. In the end, Dream agrees to write the note for him.
Outside of the cellâs confines, Foolish proposes to Sam an idea to reform Dream through community service. This idea is shut down immediately.
MichaelMcChill, a new addition to the server, also tries to break him out a couple of times because - because he. Because he thinks heâs hot???
Interestingly enough, Quackity doesnât have the note to give techno and just tells him to visit Dream verbally - Techno does, getting trapped in the cell in the process. And, well, in the end: (4:24 - 4:40)
Thatâs it for the recap!
Thank you.

Dream SMP Recap (December 6/2020) - End of Week
What started as a sad but calm day ended with a revolution where morality was questioned and blood was shed. The serverâs first canon death since the three lives rule was implemented occurred, and all hell broke loose.
Dreamâs motivations have started to be laid bare, but whether or not heâs in the wrong or right remains foggy as ever in a world where everyoneâs morals are gray.
Also, the prisonâs construction continues and some strange red corruptions called âBlood Vinesâ have sprouted up on the server.
A short summary of the weekâs total events is at the end of the post.
---
- HBomb hosts Niki and Wilburâs LâCast
- Fundy continues work on the chess board
- Ranboo is leaving a book with messages to communicate with Tommy
- Fundy and Ranboo visit Tommy and help him through the Nether to find blaze rods. Itâs a very...interesting...time... Fundy fills Tommy in on the fact that Dream is officially recognizing Lâmanburg as a country.
- Tommy falls in lava and loses all his stuff
- Then he burns to death
- Then he falls in lava and loses all his stuff again
- He FINALLY gets an ender chest
- Lazar asks him for help since heâd fallen in lava and needed help getting out. As Tommy does so, Lazar questions why Tommy hasnât turned against Lâmanburg. Tommy says itâs because Tubbo is there, but Lazar points out that Tubbo was the one who exiled him.
- Ghostbur comes on and says he has a gift.
- Tommy attempts to rescue Lazar from the depths of the lava pit. Techno starts arguing with him.
- Tommy falls in lava and loses all his stuff again. He gives up on helping Lazar, who is understandably annoyed at him.
- Philza joins the call wondering wtf is happening and why Tommy keeps dying, but Tommy just ends stream
- Psyche! After credits scene. Ghostbur asks Tommy to return to Logstedshire so he dies in lava to fast-travel back. Ghostbur gives Tommy a lodestone compass named âYour Tubboâ that points back to Lâmanburg at all times. Tommy puts the compass in his ender chest right next to the discs, saying heâll keep it close to his heart.
- Thunderâs frustrated that Tommy got exiled exiled because the Prank War he was setting up between Dream and Tommy can no longer happen and Thunderâs great villain arc has been cancelled - he is no longer a villain now.
- Now, he wants to do the clay prank to George instead to try and get Dream and George to turn on each other as revenge for Dream burning his house.
- Puffy builds Tommy a second Christmas Tree.
--- Note: From this point on I tried to include more specific details than normal since itâs an important and confusing event ---
- Quackity declares war on the Dream SMP from Mexican Lâmanburg. He gets George, Sapnap and Karl on to help. Heâs rigged TNT under Eretâs castle bridge and wants to invoke the same ideas as the Mexican Revolution. He wants to put M.L. on the map by staging an assassination and using Georgeâs dethronement as an excuse to start a political movement.
- Sapnap wants to take on Technoblade but Quackity tells him that they have to take things step by step and that itâs an extremely bad idea to do it now.
- Eret asks Hbomb to be one of his knights. HBomb agrees.
- George wants his kingship backÂ
The explosion goes to plan with H and Puffy as witnesses.
--- ---
CANON DEATH: KARLÂ
Cause: Death by explosion and falling
--- ---
- George distracts Eret while Quackity, Sapnap and Karl steal his throne. Punz joins Eretâs side as one of his other knights.
 - The M.L. side reconvenes in Lâmanburg and drink invisibility potions. Dream is in Mexican Lâmanburg. He is tearing the dirt to shreds. Meanwhile, Eret gives a speech to his Knights as they head to Party Island. Dream, alone, is invisible in Boomerville.
- Sapnap gets Dream to log (he says itâs lag). The Dream SMP faction blows up M.L. with TNT. The Mexican Lâmanburgians kill Puffy.Â
- They want to head to the Holy Land. Dream says he wants to talk. They collect at the Church.
- They argue. Dream threatens to kill Quackity permanently and make sure Mexican Lâmanburg can never rise again. (Also Karlâs acting is genuinely good holy shit)
- Sapnap tells George that he thinks Dream has completely turned against them, and that theyâre better off disowning him.
---
Dream:Â âYouâre painting me as this tyrant when Iâm just trying to maintain peace.â
He refers to it as his castle, his throne. He calls the people of M.L. âterrorists.â
---
He says that in his eyes, Mexican Lâmanburg does not even exist, and that heâll speak to Tubbo about making sure he sees that it doesnât exist as well.
M.L. argues that putting a human life above a few blocks of gold is more important.
Dream refers to himself as the ârulerâ of the Dream SMP, the âleader,â letting it slip that âkingâ is a meaningless title.
He says that Quackity is causing the most problems, the number one âenemyâ of the SMP right now. Similar to how he referred to Tommy defying him.
He says that Quackity is not like Tubbo, who is a âfair, just rulerâ and that is why New Lâmanburg is recognized and Mexican Lâmanburg is not. Tubbo would never do what Quackity did. Wilbur and Jschlatt and Tommy would. He says that he waited until New Lâmanburg had a reasonable leader to recognize it.
-Â âUn-killingâ is implied to be a thing, where the person who gave you your canon death can take it back.Â
---
Dream: âThe king is a figurehead and he knows that!â
Eret:Â âI do.â
Quackity:Â âSo thatâs what you are Eret -- a puppet--â
Dream:Â âYes! -- no heâs not a puppet-- h-he has no power and I have - and - itâs the same thing and--â
(Dream proceeds to deny Eret being a âpuppetâ)
---
- Quackity decides to dissolve Mexican Lâmanburg for a clean slate and call it something else. He wants the server to have a precedent of establishing new countries without having to go to Dream for recognition every time.
- Eret agrees to recognize Quackityâs new country if they apologize and return the throne.
--- ---
CANON UNDEATHING: KARL (?)*
* Dream says that the death is still canon later since plot was based around it. I donât know what Karl considers his death count to be?Â
--- ---
- Sapnap declares that he no longer wants to fight Techno but Dream instead. He says he wants to slay Dream in front of everyone.
- Overall, Dream and Eret declare it a âfailed coupâ and say that the destruction is just a consequence of âwhat happens when you donât plan anythingâ but Quackity is satisfied that his new country has been âput on the map.âÂ
- Quackity declares the country to be named âEl Rapidsâ in honor of Cedar Rapids.
-Â Punz no longer wants to be an official Knight.
- Quackity misses Ghostbur and wants to speak with him. He tells Ghostbur about the war. Ghostbur asks if it was a revolution - Quackity says yes! Ghostbur also informs Quackity that he burnt the sacred texts - How to Sex 2 - in lava.
- Karl streams with the intention of rebuilding and preparing for Pokimaneâs visit
- Karl steals Eretâs Museum Llamas and gets caught in the act. Fortunately this doesnât spark up the war again. They take a llama to Party Island.
- They get into trouble at Boomerville and Lazar joins.
- Dream comes online and asks Sam about the prisonâs progress. Bad gets annoyed at Sam for destroying the beachfront property value, and he didnât authorize the seizure of the land. Dream is there helping to shovel but Bad wants him to stop. Bad is angry about the prison being built and starts shouting at Sam.
- Bad tries to negotiate with Dream. Dream refers to the prison as containing a âprisoner.â Singular. And that the prisoner would have nothing, and Bad would be in charge of helping to guard it. There are going to be multiple âlayers.â
- The prison will be in the middle of the ocean bit, and Bad would have a terraformed beachfront property. All of the land would be considered property of the Badlands - including the prison.
- People are going to have to go through PORTALS to escape the prison.
- Bad starts to come around to the prison idea. Dream tells Sam he thinks they need more hands to help, potentially Ant and Eret.
- A strange, giant red âeggâ has appeared in the corner of Badâs statue room. He feels a strange aura coming from it, and heâs unable to bring himself to break it.
- Dream says Eret canât help with the prison but he can help make the beach nicer. Bad says he might want to put Tommy in the prison but Dream says no, Tommyâs already exiled. So the prison isnât for Tommy.
- Once the prisoner is in there, Dream says they would only be able to be let out âby the server.â Itâs got certain secrets that only Dream and Sam know about. Sam says that he could potentially escape from it, but it will be so impenetrable that even if you know the secrets it would still be difficult to escape from.
- Bad shows Dream the Egg. Dream gets creeped out by it.
- Another Red Corruption has appeared near Huttâs Pizza, and another at the Mansion. Everyone swears that it wasnât there before, and there wasnât enough time for someone to place all of it manually in the time that they were down there.
- Bad stabs Dream for trying to âhurt it.â He likes it for some reason.
- Bad asks Dream about who the prisonâs for. Dream says âif you canât kill somebody, you need to lock them up.â He mentions that itâs one of the more powerful people on the server, someone who either provides a threat now or in the future. He has someone in mind.
--- ---
Dream explains to Bad and Sam that the reason he switched sides in the Manberg-Pogtopia War was because Schlatt gave him something.
And that thing is âa card up his sleeveâ until he needs it.
A book of great value.
It puts Dream in danger if people know of it, but also gives Dream power.
The âmost valuable thing on the server.â
Something pertaining to the prison.
Something where they wouldnât believe Dream if he told them what he was given.
--- ---
- The corruption grows AGAIN despite Dream, Sam and Bad all being in the middle of the ocean
- Another corruption appears on Tommyâs Power Tower
- The water level in New Lâmanburg has risen again, covering George and Quackityâs mushroom house
- The prison is going to be as tall as a MOUNTAIN
- Dream proposes the idea of Bad giving him the disc to piss off Tommy. Bad says that Skeppy has it so heâll have to ask some other time. He might trade some information about Schlattâs book in return for the disc.
- Bad says he likes the name a dono came up with for the corruption -- âBlood Vinesâ
- Dream and Sam removed the Blood Vines on the Mansion to Badâs dismay. Sam burns the Vines and Bad goes on a murderous rampage against him.
- Technoblade got a âBee our guestâ achievement
- Dream burns down the Eiffel Tower again.
- The prison will be reinforced with 15 layers of obsidian, and the guards will have Ender Pearl Stasis Chambers that are alarm-activated.
- The Blood Vines have sprouted up from Schlattâs Grave.
The prisonâs unofficial name as of right now is âPandoraâs Vault,â but it is subject to change.
Upcoming events:
- Karl will be touring Pokimane around soon
Potentially Scrapped:
- Elytra Challenge
- Bad and Skeppyâs plan to burn the disc *
* Bad mentioned it on stream, but itâs unclear if itâll still happen

Slimecicle
âhuh?â
as days went past he began to realise
you were no longer going to visit him again, he didnât quite understand why you suddenly stopped visiting him or where you went. he would constantly ask everyone where you went everyone avoided the question to keep him happy. of course they felt awful that they were allowing him to keep hold of the hope you would return but they werenât too sure he understood the concept of death. everything went well till he asked quackity who decided lying would be better than telling him the truth and told him you hated him and no longer wanted to see him leaving him to question why you decided to lie to him, he often found himself following ranboo around in an attempt to make himself happy again however it was useless. he was never going to see you again and was convinced his best friend from day one hated him and there was nothing you could do about it.
ranboo
âI shouldnât have done anythingâ
unfortunately for ranboo he watched you pass away in fact he was the reason you passed away, you hated leaving him alone whilst he would enderwalk around the smp so you would often follow him making sure he was safe, that night was different you had no idea he was in enderwalk state, you woke up at 5 am to see a tall figure with glowing eyes staring down at you mumbling about you not being there whilst lifting his axe and that was the last thing you saw before it all went dark. of course, he didnât remember doing this the only reason he found out about what happened to you was because he had told tubbo right after he killed you, guilt followed him everywhere he went he felt awful and would often try to isolate himself in the panic room if he wasnât there he was begging sam to be put in the prison. he no longer felt in control of his actions he was becoming the monster he swore not to be
technoblade:
âwhat did they do to youâ
the moment Phil told him dream had killed you he was stood with ranboo and steve he couldnât believe it he spent weeks denying your death and would claim it was some cruel prank. the day he realised it wasnât a prank and you werenât coming back home he swore to get revenge whether it was the last thing he did. someone took his best friend away from him and he was going to make them suffer. he would stay up for days forgetting to take care of himself making sure his plans to kill dream were perfect. the voices got a lot louder constantly telling him to kill dream and anyone else who could have potentially been involved in your murder. every day at around 9 pm when he would take a break from planning and preparing he would go to your grave with your favourite flower and would sit talking to your tombstone about how his day had been and how he was finally ready to kill dream he just had to wait for the perfect moment

BBHâs Prison visit (scene-by-scene)
(To make things easier Iâm going to put the timestamp for the END of each scene I talk about)
Link to the vodÂ
Very long post warning! This is going to center on Dream so if you arenât into that donât click the read more.Â
28:46 - Bbh comes up to Dream and even walks past him a bit before Dream turns and starts moving again. This is our first sign of him being spacey. After he says hello he takes a deep breath. This sounds like the type of breath you take to calm down.Â
29:14 - We can hear how Dreamâs voice is different even from the last time we heard him. To make sure I checked Tommyâs vod and it is completely different. He speaks slower, with more spaces, less enunciation, sometimes thereâs a slight slurr to his voice. Bbh asks how heâs doing and he replies and goes to spin his clock. I donât know how intentional this is but BBH asks what heâs doing and Dream stops and looks at the floor instead of at BBH.Â
29:33 - Bbh asks if spinning his clock is what Dream does in his free time and Dream says yes. He used to write but he burned a lot of his books. He doesnât say why. We can assume based off what he said he doesnât write anymore. That means all he has to do is spin his clock round and round. After BBH opens the chest 6 spaces are empty. One book is on the lectern. He assumedly burnt all the books Tommy made him write. Why? He never elabirates on this so we donât know
29:52 - Bbh asks if Dream likes it in here and Dream takes almost 3 seconds to respond. He describes it as âreally goodâ. Before while bbh is talking about the cell he doesnât say anything. He looks at the lava but doesnât move towards it.
30:11 - Dream talks about how he gets potatoes :] But theyâre raw :[. He goes close to the lava but comes back to talk to bad. Also whenever he walks he runs. Dream is notoriously very active, he bounces around he canât do that in the cell so instead he runs from place to place. âhe said he- I tried to get out and so he made it so I couldnât have visitors for a few days butâ He completely drops the potatoes conversation to say that then drops this conversation.Â
30:47 - Bbh tells Dream that heâs done bad things that got him in there. Dream doesnât argue he simply repeats âthatâs trueâ. He also says he gets to âthink and think and think... and play with my clockâ. In that sentence he looks at the damage pot dispenser then plays with his clock.Â
31:36 -Â When Bbh asks if Dream wants to hear whatâs going on outside he perks up somewhat and asks how George and Sapnap are doing. He remarks after bbh says they probably miss that they havenât visited him. He then makes a reason for it because there were a few days he couldnât get visitors. Bbh accidentally rubs in that they havenât come by at all and Dream goes and spins his clock for 31:24 - 31:33. He says nothing in this time, then he asks whatâs happening outside.Â
32:41 - While bbh talks about thatâs going on outside Dream spins his clock, he stops to chuckle at what Tommyâs up to. Bad says heâs sure a lot of people miss Dream while Dream is turned around and Dream snaps to attention looking at bad. He laughs at Techno âstill doing the whole anarchy thingâ then asks for a 3rd time what is happening outside. He goes back to spinning his clock while Bbh talks. At this point itâs very obvious how much Dream uses the clock. Itâs like he relies on it.Â
33:28 - Bbh talks to Dream about the egg. He simply says âI remember the eggâ and âthatâs intrestingâ before going back and spinning his clock. âI donât really have anything else other than the clockâ. Thatâs sadly true. As far as he knows everyone hates him, heâs lost everything. The only thing he has left is his clock. Bbh asks if heâs named it and he has but he doesn't want too say the name. Instead of that he just keeps spinning it.
34:29 - Dream takes out at book and starts writing in it. Bbh asks what heâs writing but Dream doesn't reply simply giving bad the completed book. Itâs titled âthank you!â and the inside says âthank you for visiting me badboyhalo!â Dream tells bad he wonât be able to take it out. Bbh says that once Dream gets out he can take it with him. Dream doesn't reply and spins his clock. If you havenât noticed how much he uses this clock youâre blind. He says that his sentence is forever when bad asks. âForevers not that longâ Way to rub it in bad. At least Dream chuckles a little.
35:40 - Bad tells him he likes what heâs done with the place before realizing how that sounds. Dream moves his clock to the other side of the room. âI like to watch it and then when it hits halfway *pause* then *pause* then Iâm happyâ. Note that in this chunk Dream is particularly bad at replying to bbh. They watch the clock move together. Dream says that it was âawesomeâ he seems to not have been the biggest fan of redecotaring because he moves his clock back to itâs original location.Â
36:43 - Dream makes a sound like when you are sad and have to take a breath before you start crying. He says that he doesnât know what else heâs supposed to do. Bad mentions that Dream has a heat source. From that we can assume that Dreamâs tiny prison is pretty darn hot. He also asks how long heâe been in there suggesting that he has lost track of time. Thatâs pretty common in people who are in solitary confinement. Bad gives a timeline of a few weeks to 2 weeks. For reference the United Nations says solitary confinement for more than 15 days is torture.Â
37:20 - Bad asks whoâs come and visit Dream, Dream says only Tommy and bbh is surprised. Dream remarks that âheâs the only one actually, until youâ and goes to stand close to the lava. He goes close to it a second time while he justifies no one visiting by saying thereâs limited visiting hours and overtime more people will (come visit).Â
38:18 - Dream tells bbh about the #epic prank he does on Sam where he burns his clock so he can see Sam and say hi. The clock that heâs spent most of his visit spinning. So he can see someone else. I wonder if Sam decided not to give Dream another clock what else he would do to get Sam to visit. Bbh asks if he gets in trouble for burning his clock and Dream says sometimes he gets less potatoes.Â
"oh so he starves you"
 "no I'm not s- I dunno- I wouldn't say I'm starving but-"Â
"you have 3 square meals a day?"Â
"........... i have potatoes"
The concerning parts are how much he stumbles over his words and the I wouldnât say Iâm starving. What would you say you are then?Â
39:38 - Dream chuckles and throws his clock into lava. Itâs gone now. Letâs see if he acts any different. Dream moves around a bunch while talking about what will happen later, you can hear his chuckle and smile at his âprankâ. Dream tells bad that Sam is going to make a system so that the potatoes are dropped in so he doesn't have to see him to give him potatoes. Bbh says that he should keep sam from doing it because doesnât it brighten his day? Dream admits it does but everything here is automated so itâll make it better. Bbh asks if awesamdude treats Dream well and Dream says he does while he keeps glancing at the lava.
40:28 - Dream sniffles and tells bbh that itâs fine in here. He has his clock and his book and,,, heâs happy in here...right? He finishes off that sentence by sniffling and clearing his throat. All signs point to him not being happy in here. Where before he would spin his clock now he,,,, tries not to cry. Bbh asks if heâs allowed to have anything else, Dream tells him he can ask. While bbh talks about how maybe he could get a potted plant he sniffles again. Dream is obviously upset but he does as Dream does and says heâs okay and things are fine.Â
42:00 - Bbh asks who Dream wants to come visit him, he says that he wants george and sapnap to come visit him. Bbh accidentally makes it sound like they donât want to visit Dream, he says that they probably just need to be reminded that Dream is available for visitors. Dream takes 4 seconds to reply and itâs just a sad âyeaâ. Bbh tells him to look on the bright side and Dream just looks at the floor. I think that he knows that George and Sapnap donât like/hate him. He also takes awhile to reply to Bbh saying that heâs been on good behavior right? If thatâs because he hasnât or because Samâs idea of good behavior is hard for Dream we donât know.Â
42:51 - Dream throws himself into lava and Bbh reacts with horror yelling at him what is he doing? He says that sometimes he swims in there. What exactly made him decide to swim in the lava? Maybe him remembering how he he lost his friends, maybe him realizing heâll never be free, maybe he was bored? We donât know. What we do know is in this cell healthy coping mechanisms do not exist. They arenât allowed to exist by nature of it. He tells bab that going into the lava keeps him entertained and sometimes he likes to set himself on fire with it. He demonstrates this and while bad asks if itâs a prank he just chuckles. This demonstrates how in the cell heâs willing to put himself physically into harms way for any more stimulation. Itâs sad honestly.Â
44:12 - Dream says that bbhâs time is probably almost up and thanks him for visiting him. Bbh says he wants to get Dream a pet and improve his living conditions. Dream talks about how long it takes to break a block, he once sat there for over 20 minutes with basically no progress. He helped design the prison and knows that if he broke a block the guard would be teleported in (and kill him). He realizes if bbh becomes a guard it could be a way to get him to come visit him :D heâll simply punch a block for hours until it breaks so the people tasked to kill him can be there. Dream is desperate for human contact. He realizes that would make awesam really mad and he doesnât want to do that.Â
44:35 - Bbh says maybe he can get his sentence commuted from forever to 10 or 20 years. Dream says heâd like that if he has good behavior. I canât help but feel noones idea of good behavior is lining up. Sam wants to think and see Dream as little as possible. Dream, I donât know what Dream considers good behavior. Bbh sees good behavior as not trying to escape or messing with anything. Bbh says he doesn't wanna get Dreamâs hopes but but Dream should look in the bright side. Dream sniffles and clears his throat. As this goes on it gets harder for him to not cry it seems. Bad tells Dream to look on the bright side and Dream says alright in a way that obviously suggests he wont.Â
45:43 - Bad says that heâll come visit Dream again really soon. He says heâll bring George and Sapnap, Dream reminds him only 1 person can visit at a time. Bad says then heâll schedule for them to visit. Bbh alost saays that they need to visit their friend but instead says they need to visit you (Dream) instead. From Dreamâs POV this celents that they donât care for him anymore. Bbh ends his visit and Dream somehow sounds more dejected than ever.Â
50:42 - Sam while HOLDING a clock says that he might not give Dream a new clock. It also doesnât matter whether Dream knows if itâs daytime or not. Bbh seems to have picked up how important the clock is to Dream. Sam also asks if Dream âsaid anything(????)â while he was in there. He also says that Dream swims in a lot a lot and usually he just wants attention. Sam also says with the way Dream has been acting that he probably wonât get his sentence commuted.
Overall very concerning! From the way Dream relied on an inanimate object and the moment it was he started sniffling, to how he talked and sounded different, to how he swims in lava and sets himself on fire for fun, to how heâs starved if he misbehaves, to how he was spaced out and slow to respond. This all paints a picture of someone not doing well but pretending he isnât. If he were to not get a new clock, and sam installs the automated potatoes machine I feel like he would get worse much faster. Unless bbh gets on that prison reform fast itâs not looking good for him. Not even getting on how the warden of the prison hates his guts.Â
